“S for scrub” lmao what

I think I would put pig in B tier. I find her to be super underrated and not low tier. Ambush is useful, it just takes muscle memory and practice to use it. For the most part though, I think this list is pretty accurate.

LOL NO.
This is nowhere near as bad as facing Tuft/Tombstone Meyers that enters Mori Mode permanently. It limits her hatchets and only rewards you for having AMAZING aim. If this is a huge problem for you, you must be in Red Ranks. Even then, with the hatchet causing no cooldown on M1, it is already fairly easy for a Huntress to land a toss at point-blank range and follow it up with a quick M1.
When did I ever say tombstone Myers wasn't oppressive? Having instant down hatchets are almost impossible to not win with. Literally 99% of the community agrees this add on is busted and absolutely oppressive.
-
Yeah I have to deal with it a few times being a spirit main. It absolutely sucks but best thing to do is to just ignore it. Recently, I got this one survivor that got salty I 4k’d with spirit at Mount Ormond. This same guy literally had the DS + Unbreakable combo as well which made me lul even more.
-
Haddonfield and Disturbed Ward imo. Midwich isn’t really survivor sided, it’s just disorienting and boring to play on. Rotten Fields and Mother’s Dwelling are also up there because of how huge they are.
-
I had a stroke after reading that

Plague's concept is good, but her vomit is actually harder to use than Huntress's hatchets. That is wrong. Devs should fix this. Not too easy to use, but slightly easier than it is now.
Spirit needs an auditory cue when she is phasing nearby. And her ability recharges much slower since it is so lethal. It is dumb that she can recharge within only a few seconds.
When Ghostface released, he had an auditory cue when nearby. This needs to return. Needs to be MUCH easier to look at him and remove his power. I have stared at him for eternity in the center of the screen and he still stalks me. That is dumb.
Huntress needs directional lullaby and needs a much longer cooldown between throws with addon rework where she loses all recharge addons, with a maximum of 3 or 4 hatchets. She should not able to down everyone like an automatic shotgun. This killer way too overpowered.
Freddy needs to completely lose his teleport to the survivor objective at will. He should have to STOP and have an animation for using snares. Fake pallets are OK with no cooldown. No sleeping unless he pulls you into dream state!!!!!!!!!!!!
Myers is perfect, any buffs would make him OP.
Leatherface needs to have shorter range with his chainsaw. Considering how sparse pallets are and how he can eat them with ease, he is overpowered. When he breaks a pallet with his saw, he should have a longer stun.
Cancel the Clown rework.
No more killer buffs.
Spirit’s cooldown is not an issue at all. You are basically asking for spirit to be completely nerfed and to be significantly weaker than she is. The issue with spirit is that she needs to give an interactive chase to survivors, not because she can spam her ability (which she really can’t) like Freddy and his snares. Giving her an audio cue is fine, but there needs to be a buff to compensate. People like you need to realize that balancing things doesn’t always necessarily mean nerfing them/making them weaker.

The best thing is, that stand still BS wasn't possible when spirit was bugged and you could hear her wailing while she was phasing. You also had a very rough idea of where she was, which led to some actual meaningful counterplay. Wasn't the ultimate fix, but it was certainly going to be a step in the right direction if BHVR kept it in. Buuuut nope. It was a bug and all bugs have to go, even if it literally improved your game and people were giving feedback telling you to keep it in the game.
I was very upset when they “fixed” that bug. Although I feel like that bug gave survivors a little too much information, but like you said, it was a step in the right direction. Standing still shouldn’t be as powerful as it is on spirit. I’m really hoping the devs do a proper rework on her without gutting her power.
-
I am all for spirit getting reworked being a spirit main, although I feel like footprints could be hard to see. Scratch marks for spirit while she's phasing could work, or the idea Otz had where she shows glimpses of herself. A buff to compensate would be to make her go a little faster in phase or maybe slightly faster cooldown, it doesn't have to be too crazy. I think this will make spirit just as strong as she is, but will be a lot more balanced. The stand still 'mindgame' has gotta be nerfed to the ground, which is something I hardly ever try to do.
-
"Just do bones 4head"
Seriously though, the perk is extremely annoying and needs a rework. I think my only problem with NOED is that survivors have absolutely no way of knowing the killer has it until someone gets the effect at endgame. Doing bones isn't a reliable counterplay because for all you know, you could be trying to cleanse all 5 totems to counter a perk the killer might not even have.
-
My baby Rin had it the worst. Not only did she get killed by her own father, but also witness her father kill her mother. She's been threw so much hell yet people still ######### on her. Both of those reasons makes her the only correct answer for this question.

UMMMMMMM... what
You sound like you're on to something...

Every player has their own unique learning curves. If you struggle with certain killers but you're good with others, it doesn't make you bad in any way. I am pretty good with spirit, billy, pig, and blight but not so great with huntress, nurse, and plague. Some other people might have different preferences so don't feel bad if you aren't good with certain killers.
-
Spirit is in a league by herself. Looking at her in her school girl outfit is the best feeling ever.
-
Fun to go against.png
This type of tier list is very subjective and it is only based off a singular person's preference, so there will be disagreements. I didn't really put the killers in each tier in a particular order.
-
Spirit: Sloppy, Nurse's, BBQ, and Whispers with activation and speed add ons.
Pig: Monitor, Whispers, BBQ, and Enduring with Combat Straps and something that helps me charge up my ambush quicker or provides effects to survivors while having bear traps on like blindness.
-
I main spirit. I really wish she wasn’t so hated because I love her so much.

Yeah, you're the kind of spirit that I would put under "doesn't deserve bm" and people who do it are just dong it out of salt. But trust me, most of the spirits I verse (even though she isn't that common, so it might be skewed in my memory) are not like this. I feel like spirits tend to be very tryhard.
That’s fair. I am aware there are a lot of tryhards playing her. I notice that a large majority of them where her school girl outfit which robs survivors of the little information they would have. It’s kind of a shame how that cosmetic is like that because I love the cosmetic so much and want to equip it, but because of the fact it’s unfair I just don’t. I instead usually equip the Awakened Origin cosmetic which is the one where she has the white hair. People that equip the school girl outfit just so they can have an unfair advantage honestly lose my respect and deserve the BM.

For me, it's not so much the killer or whatever. But the combination of things.
If someone picks Spirit, runs all meta/super strong perks on her, clearly has some experience and plays a bit dickish (even know it's completely valid gameplay that gets "wins"), they 100% deserve some BM.
If it's a baby spirit running super meta perks and playing a bit dickish, I'm okay with that.
If it's an experienced spirit, but they let survivors get saves (despite knowing they'll go to save) and instead patrol gens or something. I'll accept that.
If it's an experienced spirit with super meta perks, I'm okay with my teammates bm'ing her.
If it's an experienced spirit, running meta perks and playing a bit sweaty AND we (survivors) still manage to do decent...Imma BM her.
That's just my philosophy though. I feel like there is only so much of a 'sweat' threshold you can go to until you deserve bm, especially if you are losing despite how hard you are trying. And I expect it both ways. I main Nurse and my perks are pretty strong on her (Whispers, BB&C, Infectious + random perk i feel like) and there are games where I definitely sweat (and ones i dont!). If I'm losing, despite all those odds stacked in my favor, and survivors want to bm- I understand lol.
I’m fairly experienced to spirit as she’s definitely the killer I’ve put the most hours into. The build I’m currently running is BBQ, whispers, sloppy, and nurses. I refuse to run stridor or ruin/undying on her until the devs give her counterplay that isn’t guessing. I try to not play sweaty and scummy, meaning if I see someone going for the save I’ll almost always go for the person who unhooks and give the person who gets unhooked a chance to play the game. People who are the opposite of that are the reason BT and DS exist.
-
Just played against one for the first time in a century. I'll just say the match was just as oppressive as it usually is.
-
This won't be viable in red ranks, because who misses skill checks at that level?
-
Spirit’s in a decent spot other than her 1v1. She’s not OP by any means, she just needs to have a more interactive chase like Billy, blight, nurse, and huntress. If the devs gave her reliable counterplay for survivors to work with, I think she’d be one of the more balanced killers, because she’d still be as strong and viable in high ranks but the chases won’t feel like a blind guess for survivors. Devs really need to get on top of that rather than nerfing Billy who is known as one of the most balanced killers in DBD.

"insanely hard" - paaahhleeeeasse. *Cue the biggest eye-roll ever* 🙄
I've been casually playing almost 2 months now, Nurse was my first Killer and while it took a few games to get the hang of things, I was dominating pretty frickin quickly after that, all with a basic loadout and perks, none of which are the "meta" people discuss here for her. I lvled her up pretty fast, got all tier 3 for the perks I like using and was winning so often and easily it became boring and so I moved on to other Killers.
Are you really gonna base nurse’s difficulty level from your personal experience? I hate it when people do that with any killer. If you find her easy to play then good for you, but that does not mean others won’t adapt to a killer like nurse that fast. I started playing blight about a week ago and I learned and adapted to him pretty quickly, but that doesn’t mean others will learn him that fast. Everyone has their own learning curve and if you learned nurse that fast, impressive. Freddy is the only exception to this considering I haven’t really heard anyone say they have trouble learning him.
-
Yeah I feel you there. No matter if I’m playing killer or survivor, having to deal with a rage quitter is so annoying. If I play survivor and a teammate rage quits then we lose a teammate because of something the other 2 survivors and I can’t control and if the killer rage quits I don’t get to play the rest of the match, which leads to another 15 years to find another lobby where hopefully the killer won’t rage quit this time. When I play killer and a survivor rage quits, it takes me into an instant 3v1 which doesn’t really feel like an accomplishment even if I hold them to five gens. A 3v1 is so easy to win as killer and it doesn’t matter which killer you play. If you rage quit a lot, just go play PvE games instead because you’re hurting other people around you that just want to have fun playing the game. I deal with a lot of this being a spirit main because people hate her so much. Matches where the survivors play efficiently and actually try to win are the matches I really enjoy.

Yeah looks about right. My poor nurse at the bottom but she's so fun to play.
She’s got the lowest kill rate because of how insanely hard it is to learn her.
-
There is some great information to glean from this data, and it puts to bed a lot of false rumors floating around the web.
According to these stats, Freddy has the highest kill rate in all ranks and in red ranks.
-
Honestly, I'm down with this idea. It provides something new and interesting. It does get very repetitive always having the same game mode every time. Knowing BHVR, they won't even consider this, but we can still hope.
-
Nothing is more frustrating than this, because I can't control what my team does. If they don't bother saving me, I get punished for it and they don't even though they're the ones being the idiots.
-
Killer: I just have to use BBQ and chili because of bloodpoints
Survivor: I just have to use we’re gonna live forever because of bloodpoints
-
I just had a hacker a few days back when I played as pig. It was an Elodie that hooked herself, had the fastest medkit in the world, fastest toolbox in the world, and had sprint burst at tier 15. Those kind of people are boosted af. Proves how BHVR’s “anti-cheat” system isn’t good and they need to fix it ASAP.
-
This isn’t the solution to fixing spirit. There shouldn’t be a specific perk that is made to counter a specific killer. That’s why calm spirit, old slippery meat, and small game are all issues imo, even though all those perks are awful most of the time. Giving spirit a rework where she has more reliable counterplay is the route we should be taking.

I don't mind people's preferences, but Its infuriating when people become toxic in a specific build or character that eventually builds up the hate. I remember this moment when my friends and I made a huntress DC (not intentionally) bc I head on her when she WASN'T chasing anyone. We got her the next game as spirit on shelters woods and brought the infamous ruin + undying + stridor while bringing act. and duration add-ons and called us noobs, losers, and that we sucked. Note: 3 of us died while one got hatch.
Though I'm not saying its a "spirit" thing, but I noticed a lot of players who play her are extremely cocky or they have their ego so far up their booty-hole. This applies to bubbas & Freddies too (from our experience). So as of right now, my friends and I (all rank 1 with at least 2000+ hours) are generally sweaty when it comes to spirit, bubba or Freddy because we have a general idea in how they play so we'd rather be safe and be on the "aggressive" side first before they spam us with their hateful messages that tick us off. We never send hate messages unless they do it first.
Well just know that I’m not one of those players. I’m not saying that there isn’t egotistical spirit players, because they’re definitely out there. But there are a lot of people that play spirit that just want to have fun like everyone else. I don’t tunnel or camp unless it’s the viable option in the current situation. I don’t bm (head nod or hit survivor on the hook) unless if a survivor player started bming me. I just really hate that people play against one toxic spirit, deathslinger or whoever, then they see all players of those killers as toxic tryhards. Not saying that you’re like that but that’s just something that really bugs me when someone does have that mentality.
-
@Squirrel_Thicc said:
As much as I hate to say it, just telling people to stop wont do anything. Toxic players will never ever change. Unless they get perma banned. But that won't happen.
Yeah I guess that’s true. I just thought I should say something about it and hear other’s thoughts. I try to ignore it best I can.

@Hex_UrbanEvasion said:
It's really not about the killer, it's about people not being able to adapt to the gameplay for it, you being good at it, and them not accepting that they haven't adapted. Some killers are easier to pick on than others because they're powerful in their own right, or they're abused by trolls to ruin the game for other players. Spirit is scary, but she isn't terrible to play against if you know how to survive. She's got tells and ways to avoid her notice. Of course, add-ons can kind of disrupt the usual expectations, but like I said, you must adapt to survive.
Just remember, it's not you, it's them. You can always give them a friendly reminder that if they want to escape, they can work on improving their skill. Or just tell them to git gud, it's really up to you.
Yeah that’s a good way to put it
-
I’m a spirit main and the build I’m currently using is sloppy, nurses calling, whispers, and BBQ. I hardly ever use stridor because reasons.

Design wise: Spirit
Lore wise: Spirit

I love pwyf on Mikey. Get three stacks, have tier 3 ready to go, and you are a very dangerous boogeyman.
Pwyf is definitely a fun perk to use, but it's so hard to get maximum use out of it. I don't find the requirements to get 3 stacks very worth it if I'm playing to win, but it is very satisfying to use nonetheless.

People do that a lot against spirit. Maybe that's why spirit looks easier than she really is because survivors give up as soon as they see her. 🤔
-
@Rydog said:
Spirit requires a lot of solid game sense and strong prediction of survivor tactics; you can't dominate with her if you don't know what you're doing, same as any killer. Her skill floor is a lot higher than, say, Nightmare or Doctor, who both perform really well in the hands of inexperienced players because their tool kits are inherently very forgiving and let them find survivors easier. You're going to eat a lot of crow as Spirit until you understand a lot about what survivors are likely to do, and know a thing or two about the habits of the specific survivors you are facing.
People just say things take "no skill" when they're being edgy 17-year-olds who want to feel better about their own mistakes, and would rather blame a loss on the system.
Exactly but I don't think egotistical survivor mains are ready to admit that's facts yet.

Yes, this way you you could camper the hooked guy or wait with one killer in each door
The maps will need to be twice as large and they'll need to be 4 exit gates.
-
There are many people that don't know what they're doing playing slinger or spirit as well regardless if you think those two are unfun or not. Freddy is understandable though.
-
I popular combination on pig is monitor and abuse + whispers. This is a fun combo to use that'll get you surprise hits or even gen grabs. Pig's default terror radius is 32m and the range of whispers level 3 is 32m, so survivors will hear your terror radius before you realize someone is nearby, but putting monitor on there will decrease your terror radius to 24m. I'd highly recommend you get both of these perks for pig. Other perks to consider are enduring, bbq, surveillance, discordance, thrilling tremors and I'm all ears. If you wanted to get crazy, you could get coup de grace and pig's ambush will go crazy far.
-
- I don't think this will fix DS. I actually feel like it'll harm the perk more than anything. Yes, the issue with DS is people use it as a perk that makes them feel invincible for 60 seconds so they have the nerve to work on a gen or cleanse a totem right in front of the killer's face, but they still need to be able to help out the team when they can, so this idea would benefit the killer more.
- If this idea was used, DS would be super counterable. You kind of have to run unbreakable with it which is already a huge problem in itself because that combination is so stupid.
- Yes, this idea will work and will make DS into an actual anti-tunneling perk instead of "I'm invincible" perk. Scott Jund had this exact idea where the timer for DS is 30 seconds and pauses if the killer is chasing you. If you work on a gen or do anything else the perk deactivates until next time you are unhooked.
- Eh, not sure how I feel about this one.
- If idea 3 would be implemented, this wouldn't even need to happen so this isn't the solution.
- Yeah, I always found it scummy how PH was able to tunnel people for free by just simply sending them to cages which avoids DS, so I think this should be considered.
-
I'd rather go against a slinger than a hag 100%. At least with slinger, I am able to do something against his best strength, which is the 1v1. Hag's biggest strength is defending hooks, and if you are on the hook, you have no control of anything except press M2 and wave your arms up and down at the killer.
