People have been speaking up for quite some time. The devs know about it. I'm saying we don't need to lash out at them. What will that accomplish? I have never said that you or anyone else shouldn't post on here. Feel free to post (like I've already said multiple times now).
I agree it doesnt need to me so aggressive but they are not helping anything by just saying we know there's a problem and we are trying to fix it. I'm sorry but that isn't a good enough awnser anymore the amount of time that has pass and the awnser been the same is not acceptable especially with a new killer coming out thats about to add in a bunch of effects when the game can't handle unhooking or a killer M1 with out freezing
-
The amount of streamers that record people doing it is actually insane. I don't know to many games were its so blatant

I played on an original Xbox One before I switched to my PC a couple of months ago. I actually have been playing on my Xbox for the past few days trying to level up the pass (I have it on PC and Xbox). I'm provoking people and trying to get the thread closed by saying we shouldn't lash out and that the devs are working on it? Ok, lol. Just keep going off, I guess?
I just want to point out that to much complacency is also a bad thing. After the amount of time that has passed and the amount of information given its about time to speak up and let them know that we won't take this kind of blatant disregard. I honestly don't think Pinhead will even be playable for last gen if they don't fix somethings. Do you think they will warn last gen players that pinhead might not be playable and to maybe not buy him yet?
-
Ok because I couldn't catch this player at all even hit BL1 and didn't help thats when I left the chase. It wasn't SB fast but they seemed a bit faster than normal

I live in Asia.
During the day I have about a one minute queue for survivor and an instant queue as killer.
During the evenings I have a 10-15 minute survivor queue and an instant killer one.
We will see how things go from here but if they nerf killer stuff then eventually survivors are only going to be playing versus sweaty meta killers with a long queue time.
Its the opposite over on the west coast of the US. Survivor take 5-10 minutes and my killer q times are instant 2 minutes is super long. Except for about 12-2 in the afternoon killer can take maybe 5 minutes max

I attacked a console user, swung through them with the game forcing the attack animation out of my lunge and just before i cleaned my weapon they dead harded. It was that delayed but the server just said nope!
I am a console play and have had that happen about 3 time but only once with DH.
I've also hit a couple people vaulting pallets broken the pallet to realize the survivor didn't go down
-
I've actually had it happen in the open a couple of times I don't understand it. I hit them got all the sound effects and they didn't go down. they weren't cheating because I downed them a few seconds later.
-
It happens because a mix gen speed, survivor spawns,and map size. You can do totems but I won't lie when I play survivor I won't prioritize finding totems over gens if, if I find one on the way or its next to the gen sure but thats just how the flow of the game works

So... you start to tunnel after the first hook, yes? Because in most of my matches 2-3 gens are gone when the killer gets his first hook.
Yeah if that becomes the tone of the game the survivors are efficiently doing objectives the I have to match said pace or have a much a much harder game once 1 gen is left
-
@Johnny_XMan said:

This is not true.
Sometimes tunneling is a straight up mistake. You (as the killer) need to understand when to stop chasing the one person. The game was designed as a 4 v 1 which means that part of your job is to patrol generators.
Something which I know many don’t like to hear. Fact of the matter is if you cannot by any means take your eyeballs off that one person, what do you expect the other 3 survivors to do? Get Pom poms and start cheering for you until that person goes down?
Like, I’m not denying that tunneling can be a strat. You take 1 out earlier, the rest is a breeze. The problem is how long is it taking you to tunnel? There comes a point where you either have to look at your playstyle and perhaps ditch that if it’s not working.
The problem with the word tunneling is it has a broad usage. When I say tunneling I mean the next person I catch and hook is leaving the game, some people use it for someone who see someone and chases then four gens and then camps them out which is actually the correct usage but the more common one is the one I used. I won't tunnel untell 2 gens are left because I don't want to deal with 1 gen and 4 survivors its a stressful situation

Two strong loops right next to each other is RNG and can be very detrimental to a killer, but map tiles aren't the only random things in the game. Hex totems and where they spawn are RNG. There are chests on the map with random items; a survivor can pull out a key and end the match early for it. The hatch mechanic is total RNG: whether the survivor or killer finds it first has little to do with skill. I've had the hatch literally spawn at my feet when the third survivor dies.
The game is competitive in that two groups of players are pitted against each other, but when people on the forums say "the game isn't competitive" they're trying to say it's not an e-sport game. When there are DbD tournaments, there are all kinds of rules just to try to make the game balanced, because it's not balanced in a way that this is always a battle of skill.
My point was you see two strong loop next to each other often but deadzonr are rare. There are factors to determine how much RNG can actually effect the game. Like there will always be x amount of something on the map even if at first RNG determined there wouldn't be

I, personally, play Mario Party to lose spectacularly and drag everyone down with me, but there's nothing wrong with playing any game as sweaty or as casually as you want to.
People know exactly what they're getting into with Mario Party, but don't make the same connection with DbD for some reason-- which is why you hear it clarified a lot that it's not a competitive game. You usually wanna win, of course, but the broad definition of 'competitive' in this context is something like E-sports.
That is my point even in something like Mario party you'll have that one person sweating ever time they play. Dbd is no different some people are going to play this game to win and thats ok. I understand why survivor mains mostly don't that this game as competitive its alot less competitive on there side but as a killer you have 4 other people you are playing against and it start been more competitive because of that(IMO).
The broad usage of competitive is kind of my i brought this up
-
@Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:
There's the literal definition of the word "competitive" and what people actually mean when they say "competitive".
Every game is technically competitive. Games like League, DOTA, CS:GO? Those are really competitive. People really want to get good at them. There's massive, massive tournaments for those games, with actual competitive teams with massive payoffs on the line, mostly because they're by-and-large balanced and a spectacle at the highest level.
DbD is about as actually competitive as Mario Party.
I absolutely agree that this game is by no mean on the level of competitive as those titles. They aim for almost perfect balance from the top down and have 0 RNG. When you play Mario party you still are playing to win right? In most case your not playing super "sweaty" but you are going to take ever opportunity that one of your opponents gives you to win. This game is no different imo.
@TragicSolitude said:
Yes, players do compete against each other in this game.
RNG plays a huge part in this game and can have a bigger impact on a match's outcome than skill, which is why it's called a party game rather than "competitive."
The more seriously someone takes this game, the more they're going to see the game as competitive. But really, this game is too unbalanced and buggy with too much RNG for people who take it seriously to not look ridiculous. (The bugginess and lack of balance may not be intended, but the RNG is.)
Each killer has only 1-2 maps each that really destroy there chances so more often then not you'll end up on a map this is ok for your power. Honestly the whole "RNG" of tiles is kind of off I mean shouldn't you get some levels that have alot of dead zones if you get alot of maps that have super safe tiles right next to each other if its random?
I just don't agree with the the face that people like to say oh this isn't a competitive game when by its very nature it is. Now I do want to point out that there is different levels of competitive Dbd being more towards the bottom but to try and say that this game is no way competitive its wrong

It's so weird. I understand if someone was being toxic. At that point you brought it upon yourself but I didn't do anything to the killer. I don't teabag at all and I try and be nice and they shake their head at me and hit me on hook.
Any ideas as to why killers do this?
Honestly killers take a lot of sh*t as well and he might have had a bad stretch of games or got bullied last game and you were just the unfortunate person on the other end of him letting out some anger. Or they could he a toxic a$$ thats always a possibility

I agree that part of Dead Hard needs to go
Killers will take into account DH ever match on every survivor after so many hours because it is such a used perk its the smart play to be safe at try and bait it. The same goes for NOED sure they might not have it but what happens when they do? The only difference is the killers don't run noed often because its only good at end game and ideally you don't want to play a game with only 3 perks plus we just don't want to hear meh baby killer noed gut good gg ez bs
-
@Shroompy said:

Ah yes, because they were supposed to know they had to cleanse totems
Why should survivors need to do something thats possibly not even there?
The same reason almost every killer won't instantly swing on injured survivor
-
@Shroompy said:

It isnt a rule that exists youre right, but its still unhealthy design
Why should a perk reward you for doing poorly? Why do survivors get punished for doing their objective? Isnt that the reason DS got nerfed? Because killers were being punished for doing their job well?
Tinkerer also has the exact same issue, its not just NoED
Dead hard rewards you for getting hit by the killer, sprint burst rewards you for holding W,spine chill rewards you for the killer looking at you. So can you please tell me what the survivor did to earn these effects the perk gives them
-

that is not a rule that exist, and people only wanna apply it to noed
How come anytime some points out that SB,DH,adrenalin,DS, arnt earned and can be use multiple time throughout the whole trial(and are stronger then NOED) its just ignored. Not all perks have effects and on top of it is more of a punishment for not rubbing them bones

Just assuming its what the guy is doing since from the looks of it he doesnt care if the other side had fun or not
I don't see that anywhere. The killer doesn't have to give hatch if they want to go for the 4k that is right. If it would of been the other way around and a 4 escape would one of the survivors gave them a free sacrifice? I would put my money on no because its an extreme rarity but the killer should always give hatch nah if you didn't earn it you ant getting it sorry no participation awards frombme

I feel like alot of people over look both of these things. I've got a little over 200 hours in this game yet people expect me to play like these streams with 2-5k hours
-
This happens to mine as well and can also hear it over my head phones. The only time I've ever heard them get so crazy is like a 10hr straight gaming sessions and honestly I don't think it was as loud as one match of dbd

The problematic ones? If they were on fire and I needed the bathroom, I would look for the bathroom. The nicest way I could put that.
I think I have more of a problem with them as a survivor than a killer lol. And I agree they are not all like that. I've had jerk killers as well like deathslinger that slugged the last two of us and shot his gun at me for 4 minutes tell we both bleed out, or this huntress that tunneled me for some reason like she dropped chase with an injured survivor that she was close to knocking down to come back after me being fully healed she didn't face camp me but would drop chase to come at me

Being a wraith main I see no problem with the red stain for him. However, I’m learning pyramid head and find killers who move at 4.6 or 115% should have their red stain remove or remove terror radious. But for pyramid head to make him more lore is that they should remove his red stain, but keep a terror radious that makes that radio noise from silent hill. Also all killers IMO feel slow besides wraith cause of his cloak and out of cloak Lin page attack speed. It frustrating for me to play as any other killer besides him just cause of how slow they move. Trapper is a 50/50 with certain maps Andy his traps feels clunky at times where they won’t work. I don’t know, just some killers feel too slow and yet they have a terror radious and rd stain making it harder to get the jump on survivors. Those you tubers gotta be playing with friends or paid people off to make them look as good as the year do as a killer.
Most streamers make it look easy because they have thousands of hours and are playing against people with hundreds most the time

Infinite tier myers is very weak IF the survivors know what they are doing.
It's a noob stomper addon.
You are also having a very unhealthy us vs them mindset. Your teammates fed him stalk and sandbag you and for some reason you are pointing at the myers.
You having bad teammates isn't the killer's player fault
It's pretty clear you are new so i suggest changing that mindset asap. It will only frustrate you more.
I've had survivors vault a window and stand there like you know I'm just filling to 99% and your team is probably going to pay the price.
Honestly I started playing survivor because I was starting to find killer unfun and was getting mad at survivors I figured I would play survivor and chill let that survivor hate cool off.
Nope I have even more survivor hate they are just as much an AH to teammates as killers. Farm unhooking, leaving me after getting my first hook to die even know I had kindred, running to the gen im on and slamming the pallet down or fast vaulting and taking of and keys yeah later teammates me and my buddy are out of here good luck

Survivors come up with some of the craziest A Team shenanigans to save their bro. I still vividly remember facing off against some guerilla ops that actually managed to save the person. But the 3 of them died. Lol.
I've actually had it happen to me I was trying to secure a kill at end game before EDC was a thing and these 3 pulled some navy seal stuff to get there man. I asked if they were a swf and they said it was a 2 man with one of them been on a hook. After they got the unhook and a little distance I just let them go I was like yeah ok you guys earned that one

I hear you on that and it is a good strategy on his part. Like if you’re on hook you’re on hook and you’re doomed no matter what and honestly IMO bubba is just the updated hillbilly, I will agree that bubba is broken with certain perks of his chain saw, but if you guys are grouped together then yes slugging in a valuable strategy. I had plenty of run ins where survivors would try to body block me from hook and flash light me and my only option was to slug everyone. That’s why wraith is my main. He fast, he go cloaked and surprise attack lunges. You just had a few bad games with a killer that is probably using his/her main to vent their frustration out when they lost too many times in a row with a killer they are trying to learn.
I had a game where a bubba was face camping and we had one gen left and my team decided to try some shenanigans with a rescue i knew it was a bad idea but the game was boring sitting on gens the whole time so I decided why not. He got a 4k and it was all our fault but you know what it was definitely the best part of that match because for a minute it was actually exciting and we almost got way with it.

So I just faced a Myers who gained infinite tier three in the time it took to do one gen, how is that fair. What's even worse is that Michael couldn't catch me, so what he did was down the last survivor, let the survivor get up, then both survivor and the killer looked for me, the survivor found me first, I healed them, then Michael came, I sprint burst away from Michael dropped the pallet for the stun, tried to run away, even though I knew I was going to get tunnelled if Michael ever caught me anyway, but instead I was blocked by the other survivor lol, of course the killer downed and hooked me and because you Myer has infinite, it isn't like I could give a good chase against an infinite tier three Myers and a survivor and of course the killer rewards the survivor with the hatch. I wonder does anyone think this match was fun to go against and I'm just weird or does that match sound extremely boring and irritating

I understand you but that's why I made my sarcastic comment.
You'll feel bad to tunnel at 5 gens, cause you know it's kinda like.. cheating? it's like you're not showing you're good.
You wanna feel good, that you're doing well with your killer and that's why you don't tunnel straight away.
People who just tunnel off bat and wanna feel like they also play well.. they can't really prove that to me or other people tbh.
And there is my point with double sided how many survivors load in and go you know I'm not going to jump right on a gen I'm going to go do x thing so the killer doesn't just get gen rushed and have 2 hooks because the 3 other survivors had toolboxes?
-
@Wedeguy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2460226#Comment_2460226
Why? just tunnel at 5 gens. be super efficient bro. you're making such a good point, do it from the start don't wait for 2/3 gens to be left.
It's funny because everyone knows that tunneling is so efficient yet so lack of skill, so everyone are ashamed that they are doing that unless they "HAVE TO" just do it from the start and get over with it, get your win and feel good about yourself, you're a sick killer.
Your probably right there has been so many time I could of tunneled and didn't and ended up having 3 gens pop about 30 seconds after I 'played nice". I don't tunnel off the bat because getting a kill with 4-5 gens left is a horrible situation to be in for a survivor just like one gen and 4 survivor isn't fun for a killer neither is impossible but its a super sweat fest in both situations. I don't like the double standard this community has killers can't use second chance perks like need that only happens at the end game and is counter able but survivors can use SB,DS,UB,...and its ok and most of the survivor second chance perks can be used multiple times all game. Its ok for survivors to just do gens and be efficient not touch totems or chests all game but the killer does the same and its not ok. Both sides can abuse these perks but the majority aren't trying to use them that way.
I never said I was even a good killer im alright map knowledge is my biggest weakness imo

Or maybe you can take an anti loop killer instead of your legions/pigs and learn how to end chases quicker, trying to give a real threat to the team what about that? LOL what a funny comment. I didn't tell him not to tunnel but he shouldn't get a 4k for that, it's dumb cause it shows no killer skills.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2460199#Comment_2460199
Then tunnel do as you please but why are you shocked that you get 2k at best? you don't deserve more than that.
Or I can just be efficient and knock down the one that takes 10 seconds instead of a 40 second chase were 2 gens pop. All tunneling is just being efficient at your objective as a killer just like doing gens as fast as possible is being efficient as a survivor. I don't normally tunnel untell 2 gens are left so if 3 gens are done in 2 minutes survivors have set a tone and I need to respond equally to keep up

Duh tbh. you shouldn't be rewarded with a 4k for going to the unhooked injured person all over again.
And you shouldn't get rewarded with 4 escape for going back to the same gen that has progress when there is other gens you can do
