I honestly believe you.
I haven't seen lerys or autohaven i 3 days and thats after getting auto haven about 20 times altogether over 3 days. It get old really fast. Btw the 3 MacMillan were all suffocation pit.

Swamp twice in a row followed by Yamaoka twice in a row followed by the usual shuffle of 50 Macmillan, Coldwind and Autohaven maps. Throw in Crotus and Ormond a couple times per day.
It's hard to remember that there are about 36 maps in the game when I keep getting...I don't know, less than ten?
I played 3 yamaoka followed by 3 McMillan 2 Ormond. That was just today in like 2 hours.

I'm already practicing my face camping endgame builds because its tournament rules baby.
Only if you are a tournament level killer will you play tournament level survivors. If it works correctly you should be matched with people that are equally skilled as you

Leatherface is stronger than Hillbilly in close range, while he has control over the chainsaw he can also multiple hit survivors.
But Billy cone just come flying in out of nowhere and tag him. Huntress could also get him with hatches. I do agree though leatherface definitely would take him if he couldn't catch him off gaurd.

I am getting my claudette ready...don't want to play killer and sit through a losing streak with my green rank trapper while I get "placed" in the right rank.
I already get plenty of purple and red in my green so I'm hoping for people more my skill you know the ones that I can actually mindgame because they're not triple my hours in the game. Survivor is going to be the same as well you will have to place in the right level or you'll get baby survivors or super good ones with a killer with xk amount of hours

He cant tho. he has to smack leatherface twice and get up close to him. Like no killer is beating leatherface in melee range unless they can get up to him without him seeing htem in time to rev their chainsaw.
Hillbilly show up out of nowhere.

It seems like when i play survivor my teammates are afraid of the killer, my map rng has as few pallets as possible and my team tends to never do gens
Typically this results in hatch games, me dying on 1st hook or dying to "lower skill" opponents Regularly due to my teammates seemingly being self care users or just super new to DbD. Or selfish hatch hiders. I get an AFK player every 5 or 6 matches it seems, and my teammates waste every pallet but still die instantly.
But i haven't been able to play killer in weeks, resulting in my skill dropping rapidly due to being rusty. I just can't do it. I try to be a fair killer player and do fun builds... But i get nothing but sweat.
I rarely get fun chases. Instead i get the players who whether solo or SwF, just annihilate me. My chases can be over in 20 seconds but it feels like they are just constantly on gens. They never play well at loops, they just run straight and Pre drop pallets. They take hits before last gen is even done, destroy my totems instantly.. and just avoid the fun element of the game, the chase. Opting to instead hide and pound out gens for a 5-10 minute low scoring escape.
It seems like i regularly get the worst killer maps with unfair RNG every other match. I really feel like MMR has been on for a while unofficially. I'll get stomped one match when i play a meme build. I then tryhard the next match and get matched vs baby survivors, and after every 4k, the very next game is sweat again.
I hate using meta perks or top tier characters, it bores me. But the sweat forces me to. I've been almost ignoring killer for 2 resets now which put me to rank 12(rank means nothing, i know) but the games are the same no matter what. And i neverrrr get teammates like this, much like how i seemingly never get opponents as bad as my teams
Killer has been so tilting because of this, and of course the most unbalanced awful thing in dbd(map design and rng) not to mention bugs, lag, and hit validation which never helps me as a survivor but regularly denies me a fair hit when a survivor played poorly. The last 3ish times I've tried a night of killer i seemingly get nothing but a swat team, followed by an easy 4k, and the swat teams again.
Sweaty dbd is dbd at its worst. I've been playing since 2016, but it's never angered me this much since the save time changes or insta gen BNP days.
I don't know why my games are constantly like this but it's safe to say if this is the future of DbD, count me out.
5 years, several thousand hours on 2 different platforms, yet i finally feel like walking away from dbd forever because i don't agree with the current direction, or devs neglecting our fellow players, and the increasing sweat levels of a casual game.
Sorry for the huge essay, this is just a jumbled 3am rant i made during a 15min ban because the sweatiest 4stack I've encountered in a year(who were kind enough to bm afterwards) refused to do the last gen and instead just kept 99'ing an impossible spread to defend.
Just mentally exhausted of this game and dreading mmr with no casual modes, no real rank rewards and fun variety.
Anyone else experience sudden dramatic sweat increase in the last month or 2? Or am i just crazy. I dunno. I hate SBMM as it kills everything it touches, but if it is as bad as the tests, I'm done.(sbmm only assists below average players or the few who like sweaty games. Add casual and comp modes, our playerbase is big enough to handle it and real rank rewards like cosmetics, charms, cells etc would add incentive to the sweats to play ranked)
Thanks for reading this. Im just so burnt out. Im tired of playing nice and getting punished because bad map design or horrible archive challenges (which will be impossible with high mmr)
I so feel this i am a crapy killer main im rank 10 but I constantly go against 2-3 red or purple ranks or smart survivors. But I play survivor also rank 10 i get into a minute chase and no gens pop. Someone is in a locker another is self caring in the corner and the last one is running around in circles and I'm like where are the survivors I play?
-
The dev know exactly who the weaker killers are and have even said that they don't like making top tier killers because they feel like then ever killer after that has to be as good(which is total BS) they said they would rather make fun killers to go against. The problem with each killer having its own mmr is it still takes into account your over all mmr. I played a couple killers I never played before and I didn't end up with total noobs they just weren't quite as good as the ones I played as plague.

Yes, they do. Bold of you to assume I'm making it up just because it doesn't happen to you. If you don't work for BHVR you have no right to assume I'm making it up.
Killers' BM is just as frequent as survivors. But you seem to think killers are reincarnation of saints so I guess there's no point discussing with you.
It is just more likely to happen with survivors because there is 4 of them per game.there is just more chances of the 1 out of the 4 been a jerk.
-
@Clowning said:
See, this is where we have to use our brain a little. The thing is, that in order for this game to be fun, both sides have to be willing to actually partake and compromise, even cooperate if you will. What does that mean?
That means as a Killer I might go easier on that Claudette that's clearly way bellow her friends in terms of skill, it means that if I have 4 gens and multiple hooks already, I won't immediately rush the hook after a rescue even though I know these particular Survivors just love to heal under them, it means I am willing to play in a way that makes the game as difficult as it needs to be for both sides instead of being EFFICIENT, aka tunneling everyone out one by one.
The issue is though that Survivors are, by design, seen as the victim and as such they are 100% right to play at maximum efficiency at any given time. Yet when you have an actual conversation, you'll find that a truly fun game involves plenty of chases, some mind games, good loops, all that stuff. I will admit that there's certain truth to the fact that the Killer has to lead in this dance, as he is the one who instigates the threat and thus the pressure which results in fun, but Survivors aren't always completely without a blame. I mean, even at Rank 1 you will often see Survivors that hug gens even though someone's hooked, despite the fact that Killer's actively searching and not camping, all the way to the second stage. You'll also get people who just refuse to heal/get healed so that they can slam those gens, because god forbid you'll take it slightly easier on a Killer who's learning - And that's often the kinder gesture, seeing as the most frequent action is ruthless BM.
So no, "gen rushing" doesn't exactly exist in the way you're making it out to be and I'll agree that it's the wrong term for the larger issue at hand, but it's the term the community has chosen to use. At the end of the day, the real problem lies in the fact that the game's only fun when both sides are evenly matched or are willing to trade their efficiency for enjoyment.
I just want to say that both tunneling and gen rushing are both used wrong by the community. Tunneling would be to chase one survivor for like 5 gen not killing them off the hook but refusing to see anyone else at anytime.

While I'm sure the graphic rework hasn't helped the performance issues are from more than those since they happen in maps that have not been reworked.
I seen to notice it more on the newly reworked. I could be wrong but I swear evertime I load into auto haven it freezes for the first 3 secs killer or survivor.

After RE chapter the game was completely unplayable for me to the point I stopped playing, there was a patch that fixed some of the issues but performance was still worse than before RE. Then the patches following that single patch that fixed some of the issues just made performance worse again, although not as bad as RE chapter patch it is getting pretty close.
I think its the updated ascetic is causing more problems with the low frame rates on last gen

Before the RE chapter I had no performance issues against Huntress unless she ran a perk like Sloppy. After RE chapter started getting performance issues against her and they've only gotten worse in each patch since.
I didn't have any real issues untell 5.1 they haven't stopped and only getting worse

I played a plague match on rpd last night fun stuff.

So you had 3 huntresses in a row on ps4. Damn.
For me it is not always bad against her but this one on rpd takes the cake. I think it was the worst experience I had in a while. She wasn't ever near me and I would basically freeze for longer than usual multiple times just walking. It was worse than before that "fix".
I honestly can't remember the time I played any game in such state. Probably never on any console.
This is a bad joke.
Honestly I think its rpd does it period I constantly have issues on that map more often then any other map

-
I wish more people understood like you. Like I mentioned before a guy comes in the match with a flashlight and is a jerk doesn't mean the next guy comes in with a flashlight is going to be because flashlights aren't toxic its the guy using

Never said doing it in general wasn't toxic, just added the mori part because that is what the discussion is about.
There are situations it's justifiable, not always toxic. (camping til 2nd stage without mori I mean)
So we agree they are not toxic In generally
-
@BabuDweet said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2466750#Comment_2466750
Well killers can second stage camp, it's not always on the teammates. Many killers will camp til second then tunnel just to use the mori. To me, that is toxic.
You can do that without the mori though as well. So I don't get why the mori is toxic
-
@ThiccBudhha said:

I mean, that is more the team's fault than the killer. Why wouldn't you hook trade if it was getting close to stage 2?
Even at the if you hit stage 2 your dead on hook anyway so the mori didn't help at best you avoid DS

So a net neutral effect that can encourage "toxic" playstyle? Why not cut out the avenues where it can be "abused"?
Behavior can't seem to figure out how to do that when they try to fix something to make it non abusable they tend to brake that thing completely. I think is mostly the community though and they just say this is toxic and thats toxic. When its not 9/10

I mean at least it's biting them in the arse by giving you more time. That's not the case with Mori's. You can be just as much, if not more, of an ass and actually have it only benefit you.
It can go both ways I could make them pay if they slip up enough but I find when I get those people they are red rank and above my skill level. Moris don't actually save you any time or really have a benefit to the killer. The animation normally takes long than it would of taken for you to pick up and walk 5 feet and the survivor has to be on death hook so if I mori you or hook you you were dead either way
-

Ah, assuming toxicity with regards to the Item and not based on the actions of the Player in the Trial themselves. Items/Offerings in general are not toxic, it's how they're used.
Thats the point I was making. To be fair I haven't ran into a 4 flashlight that hadnt tried to bully me. But just be cause one or two is in the lobby doesn't mean they will be toxic
-
@[Deleted User] said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2466572#Comment_2466572
And apart from Keys, are all of those "toxic" strategies aligned with meta strategies, or meme strategies?
4 clicky clickys coming into a match yeah I'm putting my money on they coming in planing to be toxic. Yet that doesn't make flashlights toxic
-
@[Deleted User] said:
They're not toxic.
What is "toxic" is Camping and Tunneling a Survivor out of hopes to get a Mori as soon as possible. Not because of gameplay strategy, but just because you want that animation. And the intent there isn't really toxic either... It's just not a good flow.
Thats one situation and its not how most people use it. I can go list every survivor item and give you a example of being toxic with it does that make that item toxic no it doesn't
-

I think that's how the re-rework will make them
-
@Kebek said:
Are they ? I wouldn't know since last time I saw a mori was before the mori rework.
I've just seen alot of people say they are still toxic or unhealthy for the game and I don't get it
-
Ok when I said old moris were toxic i ment they were normally use to be so. I really hope they don't completely mess them up they are already kind of pointless I mean I think I've killed 2 out of 4 people max the few times I used the new ones because not everyone was on death hook
-
@TacitusKilgore said:
They aren't toxic, plain and simple. But there is a reason exceptionally salty survs will see it as such. A mori is both rare, and takes way more effort to get than a normal hook. You have to go out of your way to assure you don't hook that survivor when they are dead, and kill them. Survs view it as BM because you're treating them with an especially brutal death.
At least thats what i think they are thinking. Mori's never bothered me so i have no clue
But they are cool. I'm down when a killer moris me when I play survivor

Patch Notes are related to the content in the patch, it does not cover known issues from previous patches so it would not have been mentioned in that. And on Twitter we have responded to questions from players about this issue also.
Hey thanks Mandy your awesome. We appreciate your info

She'd still suffer at pressure and getting downs, all that changes is now she can secure kills super hard in EGC. It'd be a buff focused in the wrong area.
I see. I haven't played her yet im actually in the process of leveling her up. Thanks for the insight

MMR won't immediately make things better, but it should provide the devs with better data for higher skill play and help them make balance changes in the future that address high rank play. Right now we have red ranks which has such a huge skill gap between red rank players that it's basically impossible to get any real useful data from it.
Sorry to burst your bubble but they have never had plans to balance from the top down. There goal is actually to get new players to play the game. I have to say this sort of seems like a bad plan once you hit a certain point it won't be fun and people will leave and then it will get a rep for being one of those games

I do agree that they need to communicate more on the issues and how they are working to improve the game for everyone. This would make so many people happy.
See when you keep throwing out cosmetics and new content but have a whole player base suffering from serious performance issues and are almost completely silent it doesn't look good. It makes said player base feel like they don't care and are just trying to get money. The silence is causing more problems at this point than it is helping. IMO
