There are tons of decent SWF groups that get destroyed by killers other than Nurse or Spirit, and there's tons of proof on YouTube and Twitch of Streamers who utterly demolish SWF group game after game live. I have even seen killers do it perkless. And by the same token there are tons of solo survivors that destroy Nurse and Spirit.
This tired argument needs to end.
The game is not stacked against killers or survivors.
It's all about whether you are more skilled and outplay your opponent.
It's about consistency. Sure, you can win with a perkless trapper against an red ranks swf on coms when they make massive mistakes. But that won't happen frequently, no matter how skilled you are with trapper. When you are very skilled with Spirit or Nurse, the skill of survivors don't dictate the outcome alone anymore. It don't even changes the power role, it gets rid of it.
I lost against a 7k hours 2man swf with Omega Nurse because they were incredibly good at the game. I also lost against a 500 hours 2man swf with Wraith, because Wraith got no ability to keep survivors busy, no map pressure and a power that doesn't benefit him very much.
If i would follow you thoughts here the 500 hours and the 7k hours are both better than me, because all killers are on the same power level right?
-
I mean that discussion came up countless times before. Against solos, most killers are ok, against decent swf nurse and rin. Period.

Demo is actually quite nice, dunno why your considering him low tier.
He's not low tier, but he is loopable. You don't have to think outside of the box to loop him, so he is maximum A-Tier, more like B.

Ive never been banned. I feel like the game is all in the killers hands and survivors have to work 250% better and be in a party to win.
Winning means pipping. I pip in literally every of my survivor games and i die usually. Hmmm....
-
I mean one of the best wraith builds so far with Sloppy and Nurses, undirectional/silent bells and no TR for six seconds is the opposite of tunneling. It's basically a worse legion, but still pretty funny to play because of the jumpscare potential.

rainbow matchmaking atm. For some reason they don't put red rank survivors to a red rank killer.

Long term player here, becoming ever-increasingly disheartened at the game I love.
I'm interested to hear what people think about the two new status effects? I am well used to big changes in the game; some I like, some I don't- but either way I can get over them.
These two new status effects, however, seem very confusing to the consistency of the game. It appears they are just knee-jerk reactions to the Ghostface/stealth problems that haven't really been thought through.
The biggest problem for me is that now LOTS of perks are being rendered useless or less effective, for both sides. It also makes counter-play for the casual player very difficult and confusing as you now have to not only know the perk effects, but also WHO they will trigger against, and WHEN they will/will not too.
Killers immune to borrowed time. Survivors immune to coulrophobia.
Nobody still knows if Spine Chill will work or not.
It seems a lot of compromise for a new "status label" that didn't need it in the first place.
Undetectable is one of the best things for DbD since EGC. Sure, it renders aura reading perks useless against stealth killers, but should you see a cloaked wraith with OoO? Probably not...
-
I mean it's really average if it's hitting a gen...what it don't even do half of the time. Good perk i guess kappa. Niche on smaller maps like bendermac mentioned.

its still possible to make good perks without making them OP or take over the meta. Perks like inner strength is situational making it not super good, but since it is VERY good in that situation and synergises well with other perks it will be used, but perks like mindbreaker is so situational AND is not even good when it maybe works making it such a bad perk.
(Inner Strength will be meta btw)
"Surge" is, despite how many glorious 4kd people had with that perk, the best perk of the demogorgon and still very bad. "Surge" would be nice if it's affecting the nearest 2/3/4 gens. "Mindbreaker" needs a complete rework. Don't lettin people vault around a gen that's done...situational i guess.
-
It feels fine atm. Playing it on Myers with M&A, was fun.
-
He's okay. Definitly not bad and a funny design. Take my money BHVR.
-
No idea what's wrong with the game atm. Maybe BHVR wanted to make sure DBD don't looks like a dead game for new players.
-
Squadette and daily. No other reasons because it hurts the killer for some reason.

I want to be nurses backpack, they'll nwver get me alive!!!

honestly lmao when i dont equip it I realize how much of a clutch that perk is for me. Balanced is good on the indoor maps or Red Forest, but man is DH just great in every. single situation.
It got a high skill ceiling so it's fine. But yeah it's the best perk in the game together with DS.
-
I am Groot!
-
When you aim for a survivor, but BHVR got the opinion, that the precious tree five metres away from you is way more interesting to hit.
-
I mean it was a farm map, that's usually very survivor sided. And not because of the huge amount of pallets there.

So i should trade some useless aura reading against OP Perk builds for killers? Definitely not.
[4_MAN_SWF_ON_COMS] DETECTED / PREPARE FOR ELIMINATION
A fifth perk slot for killers is worth a try on PTR. Imagine Bond being baseline for survivors. How damn useful as solo. And there are a few other aura reading perks for survivors that could be baseline. It's a nerf for swf, that's like the most important thing.

Pretty much anyone can pip if they know how. I mean unlike before the rework of the pipping system at least it's got some more skill then before. It's still time invested though

LUL.
Thats the real problem of the people: "Pipping".
When did the people lose the core of the games? HAVE FUN MATE. Forget about ranks, they mean nothing, just have fun, try killers, try builds, do silly things. HAVE FUN.
When i see in game Thanatofobia, NOED, RUIN and Sloppy Butcher of course i try to rushed the gen beacuse the tryhard level is too high. When i see the killer is fun i forget about gens.
As killer i like people who wants a nice chase.
As a survivor i like the killer who wants a nice chase.
I think you don't got my point there, but you are right too. You never should forget having fun.

Winning to me means I had fun. I can pip and have fun or I can depip and have fun. Pipping means nothing to me with this awful ranking system. Everyone wears red rank with a badge of pride, but the reality is red ranks are boring AF no variety for either side and everyone is sweaty as possible. Sad part is I've noticed a lot of the better killers and survivors stop at purple most season and only rush to rank 1 towards the last few days.
Red rank =/= Skill
Red Rank = Time played this season.
I'm not saying that red ranks littered with bad people it's just that the good players are few and far between.
Oh you are one of the people that are thinking rank doesn't matter when it comes to skill. Nvm then. xD

I dont lose till people are out of the gates man people seem to think that you lose when the gens are done this is not true. I dont mind losing some gens it's all about pathing and rotation as your red rank you already know that though. If 4 survivors spawn and do one gen then effectively 1 person wasted there time since the 4th person on 1 gen slows it down and takes longer then 3. Not to mention I know where all 4 people are.
Ruin used to be good when keeping people away from 2 gens being done now that hatch spawns regardless it's just better to find alternative ways anymore. I mean most survivors can hit ruin skill checks because of how popular it became. What's the point of a perk that serves no purpose other then to be great sometimes and meh most of the time.
Just because I think Ruins a wasted slot and can 4k against survivors even optimal ones without it. Dont think I dont understand why people use it. I have nothing against it. I typically use it when I just want to have a relaxing game and farm.
Because you are red ranks you should know that winning means pipping.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/88756/ruin
On paper and in practice Ruin is a 50/50 on how it works. When it works its fantastic and does its job well. Sadly the kinda survivors you want it against are also the ones who are not really affected by it at all.
I personally believe Ruin is a choice we all have, but I personally believe it teaches bad form as a killer. It encourages continuing the chase over the gen priority. Use it enough and suddenly your lost without Ruin. What Ruin does in my head is make you weaker in the long run and instead of sharpening your skills dulls them instead. Many people will disagree with me and straight up say I'm wrong or I don't play at high ranks. I'm a red rank on both sides. I play almost every killer without Ruin or BBQ anymore.
I get your point at the risk there. It can work without ruin sometimes, sure. But what do you do against optimal survivors that rushed one gen before you even got to them? And what do you do if all of them are good loopers too?
You loose mate. I'm red ranks too and i know why i use ruin on most killers.
-
Inner Strength is insanely powerful. You can ignore mending and sloppy PLUS you can't be seen by aura reading perks while healing PLUS it's insanely fast PLUS it got a godlike synergy with already meta perks.
It's a new meta perk in my opinion.

I think this another train of thought that is unhealthy for the game. In general there's too much emphasis on 4k or NoK all the god damn time.
If one or even two escapes? You didn't fail your job as a killer.
If I recall correctly didn't they at some point want the balance to be 2 in and 2 out?
Because I feel like for the most part they're failing that lately. It's more like 3 die and 1 might get lucky and get out via the hatch or an exit gate in Endgame Collapse IF they're lucky.
They balanced it that way because their emblem system is kinda broken. It's difficult to pip as killer with only two kills and two escapes (Gatekeeper trash mainly). I think a reworked emblem system with following balance updates could save the problems.
-
It's okay.
-
I think it's fine, like many others here do.
-
I think one escape per game is fine. The killer should be a threat, but the survivors need to have a perspective too. At the moment you have to 4k as killer to pip and even then you sometimes blackpip. They need to rework the emblem system as a whole.
-
No camping.
If a survivor gets hook farmed, i go for the unhooker.
If a survivor is friendly, i may give him the escape.
If i see an OoO, i have to teach them a lesson by tunnel. Maybe they stop bringing this horribly bad designed perk.
-
For survivor it's probably DS. Most times you get no use out of it, but when you are in the basement and get hook farmed it's really nice.
For killer it's PGTW. It's the only viable AND reliable gen slower perk in the game. "Hex: Ruin" can be destroyed. "Dying Light" needs build up. "Surge" is just bad. PGTW is there after every hook to slow a gen massively down. No downsides.
-
Yeah like Billy with less threat but more map pressure.
-
That would be very nice, especially with the new "Dying Light".

This build is the most OP in the game. There is no counterplay. At least with other stealthy killers you have some chance at avoiding them. You can see Michael, see the wraith’s ripple, see ghost face... and also hear them at times. But with this spirit build you’re just defenseless. I just played a game, started a hex totem, got grabbed by spirit out of nowhere. I quit. What’s the point? Letting them have a good old time decimating 4 players while we suffer through a losing battle with maybe a 2% chance of someone surviving? Very next game someone DCs almost immediately. Another survivor hooked 10 secs later. I go to save and they suicide on hook. Prayer beads spirit again.
If it’s not fair, it’s not fun. Survivors are giving the ultimate feedback by just refusing to participate. Maybe you should listen before it gets worse...
(Spine Chill)
Yeah that's probably the only answer i got for that.

I look at my frenzy times when i play legion. Enough frenzy left? Respect the pallet. Just a little bit frenzy left? Just swing through it.

I also just had a great fun time with Clown running Surge, Pop, Overcharge, and BBQ on The Game.
The poor dears only managed 2 repairs for the whole match.
The Game is the smallest map in DbD. Try the same thing on Thompson house please. :)

Disagree.
I’ve been dominating as Freddy running Tinkerer, Bitter Murmur, Cruel Limits, and NOED.
It’s a great build on him because of the gen teleport
That's literally the only niche build that can be used. The rest od the perks is sadly kind of weak.

A killer who is good on Nurse won't necessarily be amazing with Huntress. Trying to play Huntress at red ranks without ever having ever played or leveled her before just seems unnecessarily cruel.
I mean think about it. If we used my system, the amount of players who would be rank 1 Wraiths would be quite small indeed compared to the number of players in the rank 1 pool for Spirits.
I play killers im not that good with after rank reset to train them. Pretty good time to play them, because most times you get a mix of experienced and bad survivors so you can see how to deal with different types of survivors. Games are longer tho.

Time is STILL saved by having no need to go over and damage that generator except to check is survivors have jumped straight back on it. In all other instances you could be lucky enough to jump straight back into another chase with a gen regressing that you didn’t have to manually break.
So the "Surge", that gets three times activated in a game and regresses for 12% automatically can keep up with PGTW, that activates every hook AND got a 25% regression AND you can choose the gen? I think it's relatively clear why "Surge" is not even niche.

Something like that would be fun, convert her blink into a rush attack or something.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/696903#Comment_696903
Same here, but I'm more interested in things that would change the game up and make every nurse feel a little different as atm it's just ruin /bbq on instablink/3 blink nurses
Like she can't M1 anymore, but Blinks, that go through people, damage them. Something like that would be funny.

I'm not following with this statement, are you agreeing with me or?
Sometimes you can't do anything to win the game. But you don't have to accept that. Keep the devs pressured to balance the game instead of accepting a unbalanced state. That's my point.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/696913#Comment_696913
Surge is fine too.
Killers are too focused on the low regression %, whilst being completely oblivious to how much time it can potentially save.
The problem with surge is, that it only hits one gen on the most maps. And 12% are like 10 additional seconds. Even when you surged a gen, it can be instantly tapped and stopped from regression. And if the gen you should've surged is not on? Nvm then.
"Surge" would be useful, if it would affect the three nearest generators, easy like that.
-
@FireHazard said:
Sometimes dude, there's nothing you can really do.
That's the real issue if its a SWFs or just a good solo team, some people just know what to do in every scenario and they do it to their maximum potential. Not everyone's perfect, but if they know what they're doing... and EVERYONE knows what they're doing... it can really be a problem.
And sometimes, we just have to accept that.
You mean your skill as killer don't matters at all? Yep, one of the biggest problems with 90% of the killers in DBD.

My current fave is Decisive Strike, Head-on, Inner Strength, We're Gonna Live Forever. It happens all the time, you get unhooked (especially in the basement), but killer is within spitting distance. Jumping in a locker after being unhooked gives the killer 2 options:
- Pull you out of the locker and take the DS
- Leave you in the locker to heal over 8 seconds and then take a head-on stun.
Unless you've already used the DS, you are guaranteed an escape from a camping/tunneling killer, as well as a heal. It's gotta be frustrating as hell for them. You can replace WGLF with something else if you want, personally I just like the extra points, but I've also had fun using Detective's Hunch or Small Game to locate those trickier to find totems (or as I've come to call them after this update: Med-packs).
That's why it's overpowered. They need to make it so DS can't be activated when grabbed or killers will have a really hard time.
-
I replace BBQ with "Discordance" quite often, because "Discordance" is better in early game. BBQ is free BP tho.
-
Please rename the title to: "No one talks about how useless all the perks of the Demogorgon are". Would be more fitting. No really after the massive nerfs to all killer perks the vault denial + "Bitter Murmur" is probably the best synergy.
-
DE-MO-GOR-GON. Please it's not that difficult.
-
Both perks are really bad, because they can't do what they are supposed to do. "Furtive Chase" should be a reversed M&A to get any use out of it. "Mindbreaker" should give survivors exhaustion for the amount of time they worked on a gen. Both perks would be useful and balanced.
Why not like this BHVR?
-
As long as they don't touch her base power i don't care at all what they do. But something useful, even for experienced players would be nice.
