I prefer to the play the game properly and not to farm as do many others. Farming is a grey area - it's not something we're particularly keen on, as we want players to actually play the game and you cannot force players to farm with you.
@MandyTalk If i report someone in my PS4 for farming is that punishful ?! And if is punishful do you guys really do something about it ? Because i lost count how many times i reported players for bodyblocking, farming and taking game hostage... And seems nothing happens... Its like the report system is there just for view nothing more...

Playing Killer right now is frustrading
Playing Survivor right now is boring
Killers Matches issue (Gen Rush, fast matches but less rewarding...)
Survivors Matches issue (Gen Rush and almost no site of the killer because he is camping/facecamping a hook or even AFK after 3 gens getting done in under 3 or 2 minutes...)
WELCOME TO DEAD BY DAYLIGHT EVERYBODY !!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂

That would be amazing but probably won’t happen. :(
Lets not forget once more that Devs are main survivors and their new objective is nerf good killers 😅

It could be awesome if after a few minutes after the exit gates getting open, if survivors stay there camping too long the exit gates just shut down and teleport them to a hook 😆
-
The only killer right now that can do 1v4 is the PinHead by the way... However since the nerf that doesn t work so well right now... GG BHVR..

It is a Gen Rush... Thats just such a survivor main comment 😐️ if not... Do you really play the game actually because it doesnt seems like it... I wonder so many posts you got... (20) 😏

To elaborate on my title, I fully believe this game would need all the resources and time that is in general given to a normal chapter and have it given to a health chapter, only directed towards improving balance issues, bugs and in general improving the state of the game.
Now, why do I believe this?
First of all, it is a well known fact that it is almost always a better idea to make sure there are as few flaws as possible in what you already have before adding things that can cause more flaws. Chapters such as A Binding of Kin and Resident Evil brought massive performance and bug issues, that took a very long time to fix. They also added new perks, killers and maps that in it of themselves require attention, making for an even larger list of things that this game needs to focus on, making it more difficult to focus on a single thing.
Now, let's go over a list of things, from minor to major, that is more or less universally agreed could use a change:
The Legion. An underperforming killer, who doesn't have any abilities whatsoever in chase. Using his power feels somewhat good, then it's over and there is absolutely nothing you can do. Requires attention both in power and gameplay.
Too many perks to mention. Examples include Deathbound, Blood Pact, Mettle of Man, Gearhead, Dead Man's Switch and more. These are all perks that are severely underperforming, fill the roles of another perk but worse or are simply too niche to be used in a fun or competetive way, further encouraging the next issue:
Stale meta. Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Dead Hard, Unbreakable. Some incredibly powerful perks that are without a doubt the most common ones on the survivor side, and any survivor looking to seriously win requires to use these perks to do well, or a few other similar perks. Perks such as Decisive Strike and Borrowed Time also fill purposes that should be filled within the game itself, but in a more balanced way, and more perks should be on par with the power of these perks with no perk combination being objectively the best. Same goes for killer side.
The Twins. A mess of quality of life issues. Despite being a somewhat powerful killer, they have so incredibly many issues (cooldown, bugs, use of power, little creativity in use, etc.) that make usage stale and boring, which leads to them being by far the least played killer, as proven by a multitude of statistics.
And there is much, much more included in this list that cannot be included for the sake of brievity (Such as the economy, grind, pay to win, SBMM, etc). My point being, this game, as fun as it is, is littered with an incredibly and honestly impressive amount of issues, and with the developer's 3 month schedule, it simply cannot be consistently improved upon in a timely manner without creating more issues for the game.
And even with their patches, several "improvements" actually worsen the state of the game, such as SBMM, which has recieved consistent negative feedback. This is due to the fact that MMR only works in a competetive video game, and this game has so many balance issues and power gaps so that it cannot be considered to be seriously competetive without strict rules.
The developers need alot of time and resources to be able to handle these issues, and currently, with their existing 3-month schedule for their increasingly ambitious chapters, that isn't happening properly. BHVR has stated prior that they do not need to change their schedule for this, but every single one of these issues which have all existed for an incredibly long amount of time says otherwise.
And a message to BHVR that I, and everyone else, truly believe in:
This isn't working. You, or any other higher ups, might believe that if you keep up with this schedule you will get more money, but that won't happen if you prioritise game health. That, however, isn't true, and I will prove it.
No Man's Sky was released in 2016 (just like DbD) to widespread hate, and had such an abundance of issues that it felt impossible to properly improve it. 5 years later the developers (Hello Games) have consistently updated the game and their team is one of the most beloved teams that exist, despite the fact that they have never had any paid DLC, and decreased the original price of the game. Their sales massively improved, even years after their game was released.
However, Dead by Daylight, despite being increadibly popular right now, is consistently worsening in terms of PR. For all the time spent on chapters and DLC's instead of game health, the PR will worsen, and what will, eventually, lead to a downfall in sales. Such has been seen time and time again, and that is not the way to go forward.
I would love to hear your own thoughts and opinions, and I truly hope the Dead By Daylight team can understand this message. Me, and many others, love this game, but it is improving far too slowly to keep up with the current schedule.
Thank you for reading. BHVR, if you read this, please care. Several boycotts of your game have already been suggested, and no matter what, if that's happening, something is wrong. And anyone else reading, please share your thoughts and opinions, as I and many others would love to hear.
See you in the fog.
I don t think Devs will read this but... Who knows...

Either make decisive strike basekit or something because the amount of killers that just turbo-tunnel and follow you for 12 seconds after an unhook for a free kill is getting on my nerve. Just played a game where the same teammate farmed me twice and I went from a 1 and a half minute chase for the first hook only to have the killer get the second and third hook stage after 30 seconds. WE NEED BUILT IN ANTI-TUNNEL.
And Killers need a huge anti Gen Rush build 😏 You survivors just need calm down with Gen Rush and the Tunnel and Camp may end... I am not even gonna talk about tbags and clickers with flashlights... In other words "Survivors stop be annoyed"
-
Devs without "Wasting" your time because you guys are people " super busy " i mean not that busy when it comes to nerf killers but.. Ya know... Can you guys please say something about this "Issue" i mean... If you consider this a "Issue" 😏 Lets not forget that people are counting on their calender how long it gonna takes for you Devs destroy another killer by nerfing his powers or perks.. PinHead was the last one suffering the nerf. Next is Artist we know 😏

That still doesn’t mean the devs don’t care about killers because they nerf one side more than the other.
You already said it... The most part of the nerfs were in the Killer side dude... And devs know that survivors can easy destroy any killer and finish it fast.. If in solo survivors can easily finish a game under 5 or 10 minutes imagine a SWF... RIP Killers... The Artist just came out and people are already asking for nerf dude... Do you atleast study the game and the hole community "Ask" situations ? Because i doesn t seems like it ya know...

@Nathan13 said:
First of all that is not true at all that the devs “don’t care about killers”.
Second what I think could be done is when a killer kicks a gen, survivors can’t stop regression by tapping it.
Try count how many Nerfs the survivors got between the Killers... After that you know what i mean..
-
Some people dont understand this but its completly True, in every game its 4 vs 1 that means, 4 heads thinking against 1... Survivors just needs to focus on Gens and thats it... Now Killer have to worry about Gens and Totems now... Lets not forget the Chase time and the loops... I am not saying that survivors doesn t matter and they should not be buffed no i am not saying that.. I am saying that some Killers got their perks and powers ruined because of some crying babys in the community and the worst thing here is, devs just listen those people who probably are "NEW" in the game... Look pyramid head Power for example... Why they Nerf it ? Why making a stupid slowdown when we could just, bait the survivor in a Middle of a god loop... Look at Hillbilly chainsaw now... Heat on his chainsaw " WHY "... Look Nurse... She is a little bit dificult to control (Power) and they still add a ######### cooldown... In the mean time, what about those people who played DBD since day One ?!! Even since in the Beta ?!! I am not even talking about the streamers alright i am talking about the not streamers people alright..
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
I would just increase base regression rate to 0.375 charges per second (halfway between what we have now and ruin regression) and eliminate gen tapping by making it take a couple of seconds (but only if the killer directly damages the gen themselves, to avoid making slowdown perks even stronger). Then nerf pop to 20% to make up for it, since my goal isn’t to make slowdown perks stronger, only base regression. (Other perks may need to be adjusted too.)
I understand your point but right now in the game state atm Killer perks and some Powers needs a buff not a Nerf ya know..
-
I didn t even reached Red Rank 1 yet... Because of the damn gen rush survivors and some disconnections from some survivors... I am not even talk about the tbag thing and some clickers (Flashlight) sounds constantly...
-
@JexxTron said:
I think that is fair. It would make me stay on the gen longer and be a target. It would make the Cheryl Gen locking perk more useful. Killers need something.
Alright... Its a point.

As annoying as it is a lot of killers tunnel survivors which cause the survivor not to be able to get anything done on the game in order to gain points or PIPs. I believe that if a survivor is hooked twice before any other survivor has been hooked then that player shouldn’t loose or gain a PIP to their rank. Who else agrees
Try not Gen Rush and Killers won t tunnel or camp that much easy... You survivors have always a second chance to escape (Dead Hard, Loop Pallets, DS and more...) So don t cry if killers tunnel or camp. Try play Killer and you will see the pain and maybe just maybe you will understand why killers tunnel and camp..

You literally made it so we cannot use this perk anymore after falling a distance, the slow/stun whatever mechanic from dropping distances now prevents the use of dead hard for the duration of that animation. As it does for windows and other animations... why
You survivors have so many chances after chances after chances.... and you are arguing for a little nerf on Dead Hard omg...

I honestly feel like default regression and Hex: Ruin regression should be flipped.
- auto regression from perks like ruin or jolt should be 1/4 speed
- manual regression from kicking a gen without a perk or having oppression damage gens after a kick should be 1:1
I always found it odd how not kicking gens and instead having a perk do it for you was better, You'd think a 9ft tall bio-weapon could do more damage to a generator than a cursed pile of bones🤔
Imagine Nemesis Kicking the Gen with his actual strength ! Bye Bye Generator xD
-
I am still waiting for a Predator or Alien Xenomorhp Chapter...
-
@Faulds said:
i definitely like the idea. But i'm afraid that increasing gen regression speed wouldn't do much against the lack of pressure killers have at the start of the game... and still lose one to two gens anyway.
Maybe, maybe not
-
@I_am_Negan said:
Or make it where survivors have to find missing parts before they can start fixing the gens.
To apply the missing gen piece have to do the yellow glyph skill checks fail to complete it will give a noise notification and will have to start it over again.
Bro so many people in the community already gave them so many ideas bro but really alot of ideas and they don t care... Exemple: Survivor to start working on gens must find some items like a (Wretch, gasoline etc) and then and ONLY then you can start working on the Gen. Guess what... They heared us they gived survivors a Boon totems and the killer now have to worry about Gens, chase time what is ALOT and now totems... Yes... Awesome work Devs...
-
If they don t want to decrease the gen progress atleast, Increase the got damn gens regresstion... If someone here says " More ? " i say " YES !! "
-
Am i the only one missing those times when killers were trying to find the survivors but now is the survivors who try to find the Killer ?! xD
-
@Hektic3000 said:
There is no reason a gen should regress at 1/4 the speed. It takes far too long for it to be worth breaking chases to kick gens or just kicking gens in general, even more so when survivors can just stop regression with a single tap and nothing else.
What about after a kick on Generator you can t touch the gen for 30s atleast ?! It is too much ?! Maybe, but since Devs just nerf killers and buff survivors i go with all support to the Killers.
-
By the state of the game atm.. i would increase Pop Goes the Weasel from 25% to 50% honestly... That means " BUFF "
-
I brought the new killer because of his perks its gonna be cool making my build to Nemesis :D
-
Playing has Killer is now só unbalanced... And has a survivor is so boring because killer just camp and nothing more... Thanks BHVR...
-
However i love those survivors who tbag and make flashlight sounds to get the attention of the Killer and after 5 or 15 seconds chase they get down and then DC(Disconnect) 😅
-
I played alot in the RPD map has Killer and Suvivor and i think this map is alot balanced because the map is huge and people waste alot of time doing gens and other things.. Has a Killer its amazing because of the enviroment, however it depends alot which killer YOU are using, for ex: Playing with Nurse is a pain in this a** trust me.. even if you play nice with the killer because of the map you will struggle alot... However i tryed to play with other killers like Stealth killers (Micheal Myers, GhostFace and Wraith) and its amazing. Has a survivor i understand that people many times get confused about where the gens are or where i should hide and stuff like that i get it.. Its almost impossible playing in RPD map when we are facing a stealth killer espeacially with a bad team so...

Those 12 seconds could have been a gen being done or the people running to the gate. This game is about time you don’t have time to waste. I get in some situations this could work great but sometimes if it’s a indoor map these ######### can block the only way out and force you to hit them that’s why this change was made to prevent body blocking with borrowed time hits
I agree

I still wondering that you are a survivor main but you don t wanna reveal it.. There is no problem if you are a main survivor.. I say that because your post about Bubba sounds like you got rekt by it and now you are asking for some kind of nerf, when the Leatherface is perfectly balanced 😉

I don't think there is much to be said.
Constant swfs , boon totems that can be reactivated and killer can't break a totem permanently to prevent reactivation of boon, same meta perks on survivors every game at high mmr, tool boxes and med kits every game, a million pallets every game, subtle hackers, horrible hex spawns and survivors spawning next to hex totems and they get cleansed 10 seconds into the game leaving you with basically 3 perks, jungle gyms leading into to shack causing super strong looping, etc.
I agree

@TheDuhJ said:
If you want to just see my change ideas and skip my reasoning for it, just skip untill you see a great big line and the changes end after the right before the second line.
Today I watched an Otzdarva video (dated around mid September) where he made his own suggested changes for killers. These ranged with proposed buffs and nerfs that made some sense to me and we saw some of them (like his trapper ideas) come to life in the most recent update. What interested me most were his thoughts on Bubba. He basically thinks that face camping Bubba is a problem and since we are in more of a confirm kill meta in order to advance in MMR, this has become more obnoxious than previous. Otz suggested something like causing bubba to lose charges when someone with borrowed (or presumably endurance effect) is hit... but I hate that idea as it makes Bubba's decision really uneasy. Survivor perks are already obnoxiously unpredictable and as a killer you have to potentially figure out 16 perks a survivor has where as 4 people have all game. If they have mettle of man, soul guard or any other list of endurance based add-ons or perks this can become a very frustrating experience. If you see a group of three survivors and one of them just got up with soul guard and they take the first hit, your down potential is instantly deleted. So in the spirit of knowing that tent-pitching bubba needs to be addressed from a design perspective, I'm going to offer some change suggestions that I think would fit a more consistent experience for the Killer himself, and for the survivors trying to develop a strategy (other than slam out gens) to make an unhook play reasonably happen.
For the record, I don't think that face camping bubba is the worst thing in the world because there are plenty of unhealthy add-ons on the killer side... I just think that it needs to be something Bubba is forced to commit to (Similar to Scratch mirror Myers) So survivors have a clear idea of what they are dealing with and have an opportunity to develop a real strategy around it.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Base Kit change:
- Bubba's chainsaw now goes into tantrum after hitting a second survivor.
Add-on Changes:
Yellow Add-ons
- Long Guide Bar: Every survivor hit with a single chainsaw rev, removes one charge of the chainsaw. The cannibal no longer enters the tantrum state when chaining together hits with the chainsaw. Breaking a pallet with the chainsaw removes one token.
Green Add-ons
- The Grease: Noises made from the Cannibals chainsaw is consistent regardless of distance. Once the cannibals chainsaw is fully revved, gains the undetectable status effect. Doubles the amount of time (Keep in mind that after a certain amount of time of holding the chainsaw revved, he will enter the tantrum state) Doubles the length bubba can maintain a fully revved chainsaw.
Iridescent Add-ons
- Carburetor Tuning Guide: Whenever the Cannibal chains a down (not just a hit) with his chainsaw gains a permanent max token stack (up to 2 additional stacks, making the max stacks with this add on 5, if you have the purple add on Depth Gauge Max total stacks is 6) If the cannibal hits a downed pallet with at least 2 tokens remaining, the tokens are consumed and the chain is not broken.
Perk Changes
- Insidious: A killer who stands still for 2 Seconds gains the Undetectable status effect. After the killer has stood still for 15 seconds crows will begin to circle the killer, adds an additional crow every 5 seconds (up to three) this makes similar noises but slightly different to a survivor standing still, potentially warning of an insidious camper. A Killer can now M1 a crow launching them 10 meters forward. If a crow makes contact with a survivor, the crow begins to attack that survivor and he or she suffers the Incapacitated and Oblivious status effects for 15 seconds and then the crow will fly away on its own (NOTE: if incapacitated doesn't already do the following, then it also prevents the afflicted survivor unhooking another survivor if it already does, forget I said that) The survivor gains the m1 action "Shoo!" Channeling "Shoo!" for 4 seconds forces the crow to fly away early which can be channeled while running, but once fully channeled the survivor, will be forced to stand still for 1 second (think of it as a faster remove action when victor pounces on an uninjured survivor) Once the killer moves, it frightens the crows scaring them off 1 every 2 seconds. Has NO interaction with Spies from the Shadows (Maybe they could also prevent exit gate escapes but I'm not so sure about that tbh...)
___________________________________________________________________________________________
The effect of these changes is I took the worst add-ons he currently has and now they complement a Tent-Pitching Bubba play style.
You already don't run into many situations outside of camping where bonking two survivors with one chainsaw is going to happen, so the tantrum effect doesn't really effect the chase all too much, but now if you want to be a solid and consistent Bubba camper, it needs to be part of your build. This gives the survivors a very clear expectation of what a bubba is planning on doing (similar to scratched mirror Myers), but he can't have the best Chase add-on's if he wants to camp. So his chasing potential is lowered in favor of getting around the nerf to his base kit for camping.
I usually don't like touching killer perks because its hard to account for how every killer (current and future) is going to be able to utilize them in some game breaking way, but Insidious in its current state is too good a workaround for my proposed green add-on, so had to change it so that bubba cant just use insidious for complete stealth instead of the green add-on. Plus I think the insidious change is interesting and doesn't break all the other killers (except for maybe nurse but not sure to be honest)
I'm sure others will figure out reasons why this makes Bubba too weak or too strong and I would like to get the feedback.
If you read the whole thing: Thank you, you are a legend.
Thats just stupid...
