I have played other games over the last few months where the skill ceiling & cap is MUCH higher than what you do in dbd (both roles). It really makes me wonder how bad at video games you have to be if you can’t handle survivor. Sure, when you’re completely new, you’ll get killed but survivor is not hard to understand.
For example, I showed my brother dbd and how to play survivor optimally (how to loop, rush gens, countering each killer, etc). The dude hardly is a gamer anymore. After just a week of playing for a few hours a day, he was playing at red rank level, destroying 90% of killers he played against. Survivor isn’t a hard role.
So why the hell are the devs trying to remove literally any challenge survivors have to face? They call the red ruin skill checks “hard”. Snap out of it is “frustrating”. Any killer that creates pressure or does well is “over performing”. Did they forget this game is supposed to be asymmetrical and the killer is supposed to be the power role? Isn’t the point of video games to challenge us and you put the time in it to “git gud”.
Seriously, with how bad these devs are, I don’t miss this game one bit. I just wish things were different because I love horror and the ability to play as a licensed killer. Unfortunately the licensed killers in this game are a joke and ez to bully lmao

When you cry for a ruin nerf and it works, literally nerfing the one perk killers have to keep gatekeeper and actually try to have a fun game what exactly do you expect? They have a right to be annoyed cause you are too lazy to use small game or pass ruin skill checks you gotta ruin it for them

There is a point to this though. If it's that easy to do in the PTB, nothing is going to change in the main game, those tactics are still going to be there. BHVR acts like all survivors have a sense of fair play, rather than being the toxic little turd containers that they are.

Don't wanna get looped with vaults? Bring bamboozle. Don't wanna get looped with pallets? There's a limited number of them on the map + bring brutal strength. Once there's 2 or 1 gens left to do it will be harder for survivors to do gens because your patrol route will be shorter, which will apply enough pressure to chase survivors and get those hooks. By the time there's 2 gens left, there should be minimal pallets left on the map for survivors to use.

Without ruin if you get a organised team using the big four cheese perks you can forget about gatekeeper emblem and any bp attributed with that. I have had it where the match started I go looking for people at the gens to have two gens pop the furthest away from me and I'm not playing as hillbilly so I can't do anything leading to very short games where nobody gets bp.

Small game is a good perk just too many overlooking it. I'm still gonna use it regardless of the odd ruin nerfs because devour, noed, trapper traps and hag traps also just because I enjoy cleansing totems.
I don't think many like to take chances on the lesser known perks.

It doesn't even need a buff more people just need to stop complaining and learn to compromise by either running small game or learning how to hit ruin skill checks. I run that perk and just go around cleansing every totem I find out of paranoia the killer has noed or devour.
