She can effectively ignore the normal loops, but she has a different kind of loop that literally involves vaulting and no walking or running or crouching just vaulting....pallets, anything else won't work, for new players, any killer is the worst thing ever "plz nrf" whereas people who played longer can bully pretty much any killer if done right, spirit best chance is to destroy pallets or increase passive phase and trick people, that's about it, but with a bit of time with that, even that won't help, killers are quick to learn, what do they do, do it, survivors take a bit more, what does the killer do, who is the killer, how do we abuse the killer ability, how do I gen rush into a 4 minute game? Once you learn that, several times with each killer, then it doesn't matter the killer, GG 2 EZ
Easier said than done, every match is unpredictable.

Wait a minute.. his snares are worthless if you are not in dream..
So i guess not falling asleep is a counterplay
Kinda hard when if he hits you you'll be put into it automatically...
And there is a default timer to put you in it regardless...

You unfortunately can't, I don't know how microsofts version works... but unless there is a recent players thing... than you can't add him. And even if there is a recent players feature on that version, you can add people from other platforms on your steam friends list... since that other version doesn't use steam.
There is no add feature to add people from other platforms yet, since DBDs cross-platform is still new... I can't say if they'll add one in the future but if enough people ask than they might!
Or they already will, who knows.

It had something to do with where they were stored in the files, at least that's what I read from one of Peanits comments on the post itself. It would cause these cosmetics to be lost at random during new patches.
It can be quite a hassle to return all these cosmetics that're lost.
Here's a quote from Peanits 1st common on that post.
"Unfortunately the way these event cosmetics were stored made it possible for certain players to lose them at random. They would need to be returned manually, but doing so ran the risk of causing further loss of progress."

I currently have 11 out of the 17 Killers on my roster P3-50'ed.
That list is as follows
- Wraith
- Billy
- Huntress
- Myers (My 1st P3-50 Killer.)
- LeatherFace
- Freddy
- Pig
- Spirit (I don't use her anymore since her P3-50... for obvious reasons.)
- Legion
- Plague
- GhostFace
- Demogorgon
Only 2-3 are fully kitted out with all perks that're currently available. As for Survivors, I only have P3-50 Claudette as my only P3-50 Survivor... and I don't have all the perks unlocked on the Survivor side.
-
Yes, Cross-Play is currently set up to allow Microsoft Store users and Steam users to play together through the activation of Cross-Play in the options menu in-game.
-
Tier lll is still a basic attack, so yes Surge would still work on Tier lll Myers.
The attack type does not change what so ever... it just increases his lunge, vaulting speed, Terror Radius, and applies the exposed effect on all Survivors like NOED or Haunted Grounds would normally do.
-
What Luzi said, it most likely was a crash on the Killer/Survivors part... sometimes it's a genuine DC that was caused by a loss of internet or PC/Game crashing or what have you.
It very rarely means that the Survivor/Killer intentionally DC'ed...

I see insidious to be kind of like head-on. From the killer's perspective, I hate that perk. It doesn't help the survivors much, and it's just a way to annoy the killer mostly. I have been chasing a survivor and been stunned by another survivor using head on, then a I turn to chase him and another survivor in an adjacent locker stuns me. Annoying, but I don't want that fun removed from the game, even though it's embarrassing as killer.
Is insidious good when playing compettiively? No. But, the killer isn't required to play competitively. Maybe he wants to pretend he's the killer and stalking someone with a killer that cna't stalk. Insidious provides that opportunity. Stop trying to make the game all about survivors having fun.
I'm not trying to make the game all about Survivors having fun? That's kind of counter intuitive since I main Killer.
The point of this change is to focus on why Insidious promotes camping... which last I checked nobody liked... same with tunneling which goes hand to hand with camping. The perk allows for a malicious play style to happen as a result, and unless you like sitting in a basement staring at a Survivor who's also not having fun... than idk what's fun I guess.

ikr you have a good point, crouching and pointing isnt offensive tbh, like as toxic as this community is supposed to be ive never teabagged and ive only had a teabagger like twice, it's actually not that bad, but when i watch truetalent he gets so pissed, maybe its a red ranks thing come to think of it thnaks for making me tink
Idk, I play at Red Rank Killer and Survivor and It happens to me sometimes as Killer, and I also see it as a Survivor as well.
I guess people know that it's supposed to be insulting, which is why people get angry about it. But if you peel back the reality of what's happening... all they're doing is pointing and crouching rapidly, it's not like they're actively insulting you through a mic because there is NO MIC.
It only angers us because of the "reputation" behind it... otherwise nobody would care. That's kind of why I don't care when it happens, cause why should I?

Lets talk about why rank 1 killer diversity sucks.
Killers with instant downs preform poorly in the emblem system.
Killers that have long chases preform poorly in the emblem system.
Who is left? Spirit, nurse, freddy, legion. One of these requires a lot of time practicing blinks. And one of these was a garbage killer and unfun to play even before his mending, pallet vaulting and runspeed was nerfed.
And thats why you see a lot of rank 1 Spirit and Freddy players.
They aren't that much better than other killers. They just aren't garbage, and the emblem system doesnt punish them unfairly.
I don't think that's the whole reason, people like to hide behind the facade of "She's the only viable Killer in Red Ranks so I HAVE to play her." but I think it's honestly because she's just the top Killer that has little to no downside... kind of like another Killer that was nerfed... hmmm.
It's the same with Freddy, their powers offer little to no downside in most chases and allow them to be versatile around the entire field of the map. A pretty well rounded power that doesn't really offer that many downsides in the base-kit... with add-ons it's even stronger and debatable stronger than Spirit.
But, that's why they should buff the low tier Killers... than what you said could have a solution to it...

If I didn't mention Spirit than someone else would chime in about it.
I wanted to get everything out of the way before getting to the main point of the post. So yes, this isn't a Spirit post... if it was than i'd be talking about why Spirit is unfun and why her mechanics are considered to be dreadful to face.
But this isn't a spirit post like I said so... I put it as an example but I'm not making the entire post about Spirit. If we didn't mention spirit in this post than the post would be missing a big chunk of what it's getting at.

I experience more diversity in opponent playing survivor than killer.
Yesterday I saw 2 ghost faces (who is incredibly popular atm) a spirit, a wraith, 2 trappers and a freddy. They were varying levels of skill and played the game in markedly different ways (the spirit was the only one camping which seems... Redundant to say least).
On the killer side I saw the same survivor build with a different character skin in every game: dead hard, decisive strike, borrowed time and adrenaline. I also got to run in circles a whole bunch when I tried playing wraith for fun. I suppose a couple of heroic souls tried to spice up gameplay by DCing after being downed for the first time, but otherwise I have to say all the survivors I come across play in the exact same way.
I'm truly baffled by the complaints regarding how boring it can be to play survivor against the same stuff all the time when killers get even less variation from game to game.
If you play against spirit 3 times in a row... than the game will get dull fast. As the Killer, it's your job to give the Survivors the challenge they're looking for.
Playing Spirit every game while these Survivors have seen 10 of them in one day... can old real fast. The only reason Killers get more diversity in terms of what Survivors they face... is due to their skill sets and skill in-general.
If you face say... 5 teams of potatoes in a row than things will get dull and you'll be bored. I can't say I haven't been bored by this as well... but when you get that SWF or coordinated team, than things get REALLY good.
Of course people like the opposite, but that's why everyone is different. It honestly boils down to you as a person and what you enjoy as the Killer or Survivor.

I know you said this isn't a spirit post but I don't get how people can't counter spirit, she is super easy to, I get you said about teams but I mean literally, loops are even easier, just not in the normal way, and listen carefully, you'll hear her moving away in phase, vault to the other side slowly and bang you just wasted her time, up to her if she wants to try again or just destroy the pallet or try the same but come back, if that is used, listen to if she is and you'll just be there unmoved, and waste more time, when she breaks the pallet, run away, if she isn't moving anymore, stop running and walk backwards, and watch where you were running from, as soon as she reappears, run, other than those minor changes to your movement, the rest is just the same as any other killer, all you need to do is hope she doesn't use blood tracking add ons, then you have to make sure you never get hit and we are humans, it happens, that's when her ability is unbeatable, that's the only OP thing on her
She can effectively ignore almost every loop as well as apply massive map pressure and has great mobility on any map as well...
To say she isn't strong is looking at it the wrong way, she is strong... to casual and decent players... If you know how to face her and do it quite often than you'll probably have less of a hard time. If the Spirit is a pro than you'll probably meet the same fate.
It all depends on skill to determine how a chase will go, if the spirit is decent it'll be more bearable. If it's a pro Spirit with little to no room for error than you'll get destroyed.
You could just say "git gud" but than that wouldn't address the other issues she poses. The constant DCing from teammates, the hard reading and no downsides to her power, the ability to track you through collision and breathing, etc... While yes this stuff is getting nerfed, you can see why it SHOULD be nerfed in the first place.
Anyways, this isn't a Spirit post so who cares about her, that wasn't the main point about the post anyways.

High ranks need it tho. Constantly nerfing red rank viable killer will push survivor queues in red ranks into heaven.
If they buffed the lower tiers than we wouldn't need such viability... since a lot more Killers will be more viable.
Not every Red Rank match is a SWFs or coordinated team... it doesn't help that most Killers main Spirit... which already has little counter-play.

think harder then or ill just tell you: tea-bagging is easier to do vs low-tier killers, other killers like spirit/nurse will have a way easier time downing you if you take time to teabag
additionally, teabagging low tier killers will frustrate them and encourage them to play higher tier killers for the reasons mentioned dujh

If they'd stop trying to boost killers by only reworking a few of their add-ons and calling that a "buff" instead of buffing them on their base kit, we'd be good across the board. They need to stop pretending that a heavily add-on dependent killer = a good killer, because it's not. If I need to use one or two particular add-ons to be able to hold my own against a decent group, I'm not likely to play that killer at all, because they're not innately viable. Simple as that. Buff base kits or keep having to go through this over-and-over cycle of "nerf, wait on new top-tier, nerf, wait on new top-tier, nerf, etc."
I can see what you mean, add-on changes wouldn't fix anything if the Killer is add-on reliant in the first place.
Hopefully in the future they'll see to it that all the base-kits get a look at... rather than just what is popular demand to be changed. Like for example, LeatherFace is considered the worst Killer now when it comes to base-kit... but with his add-ons and only a specific perk set-up he can be viable... But that still doesn't fix the issue.

It's the maps. All of the top killers avoid dealing with strong map tiles on older maps in one way or another. Clown's power isn't a bad power on its own. It's bad because it does a poor job of stopping a long wall jungle gym, to name one tile. He's a beast on Hawkins with balanced pallet tiles.
Yeah but most of those tiles are unsafe anyways, I don't agree that all the tiles should be unsafe with literally no room to loop, but I also don't think they should be all the same length on say... azarovs or something.
That map does have 2 safe loops though... safe-ish.
The issue with clown is he has no mobility like most M1 Killers, and his power is quite weak with its lingering effects that slow Survivors down... without Ether 5 Vol% or any of the Ether add-ons... his tonics lasting effects are not so... lasting... in base-kit.

Yes but does anyone really need to play Spirit to be viable at low ranks? Apparently the Green ranks think so...
I think having a apex Killer is not the right thing in the tier list or ANY game that focuses on a dominating role for that matter.

Oh I agree, and I said in another thread that realistically maps should have at most 3 safe loops, the rest unsafe, and maybe BHVR should take a look at killer shack. Admittedly, killer shack is way more balanced than before but it's still an insanely powerful loop on the maps that have it, and it always spawns around at least one safe loop.
Especially if you look at Crotus Pren, which is just one giant safety loop... and it comes with shack too.

"nobody at low ranks who plays Spirit is playing her to be viable... they're playing her because she's strong"
That is a good point and I would agree.
Relating to Freddy though, even if that scenario happens you are still wasting quite a bit of his time. The goal isn't to escape, the goal is to waste as much time as possible. You will go down eventually. How short he can make that time is one of the reasons he's one of the more viable killers.
Anyway, I don't want to distract from your posts main topic. It's a good one I think the devs need to see.
Maybe in the future we can debate more on Freddys power, anyways, I do appreciate the discussion!

I hate the "She's not fun to play against" argument, because fun is not quantifiable and shouldn't be used to balance around. Or if you really wanna go the "it's not fun" route, how about how unfun the experience of playing killer is. In an equal skill matchup Killers will mostly be lead around the map through 15 safe loops and 5 jungle gyms, unable to get a single hit off, and if they break the chase to go after someone else the cycle repeats. The only saving grace is that ranking up as survivors is stupidly easy, so for the most part survivors are a little lower skill than the killer at their given rank.
I think the main issue for the looping and jungle gyms is the map design itself.
I'm not saying we should remove all safety pallets and give Survivors one window in the map no... i'm saying that the current design of most of the maps works against M1 Killers greatly... that's why Spirit is more viable than most Killers and Nurse WAS the most viable... because they both ignore literally all obstacles (Except Spirit struggles with some of the bigger loops.)
-

I played huntress with fun perks and no addons yesterday to get a better muscle memory with her hatchets. I got trolled by a 4man teabagging flashlightclicking blendette squad. I understand killers that wanna be able to win every game.
That's just toxic behavior at it's finest, it doesn't really excuse the imbalance with Spirit as a whole or the diversity imbalance as well.
I get you're not happy with that experience if you main Spirit because of it... but taking it out on people that're just trying to play the game normally is... not really the way to go.

Pre-nerf base nurse had fair counterplay. New nurse is only fun for survivors, because her blinks feel extremely clunky and slow.
That's another issue with the nerf itself, Nurses that mained her can somewhat get around this, but decent to not the greatest Nurses will struggle heavily...
The new Nurse isn't really "Killer Friendly" for new players or seasoned veterans that don't know how to play her.
-
@PrayforNurse said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/838735#Comment_838735
I am not a Killer main however, I play both survivor and killer equally at rank 1. I've always had 0 problems meeting a nurse or a spirit because I don't mindlessly loop around 1 pallet as you do with the rest of the killers. I actually change tactic if I would meet Spirit or Nurse.
However 80% of the new/casual survivors wants to just do the same tactic over and over again for all of the killers.
In the end, we will end up with the same killer powers just different skins. See how fun that will be.
We won't have the same Killers with different skins, you don't need to nerf a Killer into the ground to balance them out a bit.
That's why Nurse wasn't reworked... and Spirits nerfs are reasonable. If they buffed the whole roster than these issues wouldn't exist and we'd have a lot more Killers be used.
Using the main apex Killer that's the most viable isn't always the most fun or the most satisfying way to play as Killer.
-
@Shraar said:
if you don't play killer, the least you can do is not teabag low-tier killers and denounce your teammates who do post-game
I don't see how that'll fix anything.

@Blueberry said:
"But again, any Killer can be viable with enough skill..."
Your entire basis many including myself would disagree with.
Also, people do not play Spirit a lot because she's strong, they play her a lot because she is one of the few rank 1 viable killers. That is very different.
People also don't play strong killers "because they have no counter play", they simply play what's viable.
Many things you say don't have counter play, indeed do have counter play. Freddy's Dream Snare counter play is the same as against a clown, you drop the pallet early.
Regardless of all the statements I disagree with, your main premise:
"buffing Killers that're hardly ever used anymore in high ranks or even low sometimes would improve the overall diversity and health of the game for sure."
I do agree with. There are a lot of very weak killers that currently need buffs and that would increase the diversity we see.
If you can utilize the right perk combos and add-ons than you can be viable at Red Ranks with said Killer. I do it with Wraith, Pig, I've even done it with pre-rework Freddy!
If we're talking base-kit than no, but I wasn't talking about base-kit.
Being strong and being viable are two different things yes, but they sometimes do go hand and hand. For one, nobody at low ranks who plays Spirit is playing her to be viable... they're playing her because she's strong and the "SS Tier" Killer. You don't need Spirit to be viable at low ranks... yet a fair bit of people are playing her because of that reason.
And yes, she's one of the most viable killers at Red Ranks... that's kind of why they should idk... buff the other low tiers?
It's good we see eye and eye on that main point at least.
Also, about Freddys dream snares
Dropping the pallet early will not stop him from downing you... you can loop around the pallet all you want, but if he can drop snares to shorten the loop or force you to sit at the pallet and vault it over and over, than that's not a "counter-play..." that's a dead end.
Snares have no cooldown, they have no draw backs, they don't really have a counter except leaving the loop when he drops them... but than he can just follow you after doing that... and than the snare is left there for the next person to be hit by it and be downed.
Not everyone is going to drop the pallet early or leave the loop when he's using his dream snares though. And if they do, they'll still get downed regardless.
but
This isn't why I made this post, to talk about his power, so we'll leave it at that (I hope.)

Good point.
I dont think that nerfing the low tier killers will impact the killer-survivor balance much. at top level play the interaction between those top tier killers and survivors stays the same.
Additionally: buffing the weaker killers (and maybe some aspecets of the top) would be a obligatory reaction to the much wished for "Solo-CWF"-gapclosure, regardless of it's implementation. (additionally to general changes in killer-survivor interactions favoring killers, a personal idea)
Perhaps if we also had different game modes and other such objectives... than this concept wouldn't even need to be said.
Keeping things fresh through balance is one thing, if it's the same thing over and over than it gets dull as well... even if in the future (we hope,) that all Killers are fairly equal.

I'm literally disgusted of the devs priorities.
When Hillbilly was first release, there was an outrage of him being OP aswell. He didn't get nerfed to the ground however and the crying became less and less due to survivors being forced to actually learn how to counter him.
Now? "If I can't ez escape this killer, it's not my fault, the killer needs to be nerfed". And then the biased devs nerf said killer.
I'm just in complete awe of how Bhvr give 0 sh*ts about half of their playerbase.
Both Nurse and Spirit gets prioritized nerfed over buffing Legion, Doctor, The Pig, Leatherface and so on.
And btw, Spirit wasn't a problem for over 3 months, then suddenly this outcry began. Probably some boosted streamer who couldn't counter spirit started this trend and then it spread to the sheeple.
It's not because of the "I want an ez win or escape" argument, it's because Spirit is fundamentally an unfun killer... The same was said towards Nurse which people had to deal with for 3 years...
Now that she's nerfed, I might try her out because having an instant easy win wasn't interesting to me. Like I get it, you're the Killer and you should be empowered and such. But if the Killer you're using is not fun for the either side... is it really fun in-general?
I main Killer and never touched Pre-nerf Nurse or Spirit because of this... I P3-50'ed Billy because he has counter-play, those two had barely if any counter-play to speak of. Now, I don't even touch Billy despite him being a very balanced Killer. This is personally because having a fast game isn't fun if it's not through the challenge of a lower tiered Killer... but that's me personally.
The point is, I main Killer and I don't touch those Killers... and this was before I started to play Survivor a lot again. We should be thinking of how both sides are having fun, rather than our individual sides that we main.
Also, in 2016 most players were still noob or literally almost all were... nobody knew what they were doing for the most part... and the people that did weren't seen a lot. Billy was fairly OP because other Killers that existed like Wraith and Trapper were just basic M1 Killers.
Billy was new, he was fresh, he had a different concept of how to deal with looping. Nobody faced that in 2016 because the only two Killers they could face was Wraith or Trapper... and those two are just basic M1 Killers...

Agree, right now you mostly see 80% spirits and the rest freddys or huntress for my experiences since the last weeks.
Its getting boring facing always the same killers in high ranks, genrushing and then getting some salt in the post game. Is sometimes funny and all but its getting reaaaaaally boring since its always the same, the spirit nerf is definatly justified but now after the chapter, (not talking about the new killer) we will see even less killer variety in the roster. And that is getting even more boring. I wish the devs would do something against this, that means. A new gamemode, more and faster killer buffs (Doc, Pig, Trapper etc.) and reworks (Legion and Leatherface).
Well, if they buffed the lower tiered Killers than the variety in-game would be mixed up a lot. With new variety comes new experiences...
I don't know how Spirit mains play Spirit every game, but the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over again expecting different results... I doubt they're looking for different results... I think they're looking for the opposite which is the same results lol.
I can't say every Spirit sees it that way, but I noticed some of them act a bit high and mighty because they're on Spirit. Reminds me of Nurse mains... aka, Nurse mains are now Spirit mains because Spirit is basically the new Nurse... so it must be those same people that act this way.
But I do agree that if there was more diversity with the gamemodes as well, than we'd probably see less Spirits also... maybe not... but maybe.

BHVR should just nerf looping to the ground.
I don't think looping was part of the original design vision for the game anyway. I know looping has already been smashed into nothing over the past couple of years but they need to go all in. I mean I know they just recently nerfed the fast vault angle even more just in the last hotfix.
But basically just nerf it to the ground so killers can stop complaining about being looped for 3 minutes. After it's been nerfed to hell we can finally get to business and M1 killers can stop feeling sorry for themselves and start getting good. If you are still not able to catch survivors in 3 minutes it is all entirely your fault, they can own it and start trying to get better instead of complaining,
Looping was heavily a part of their original design...
You can see it in older videos of the beta and 2016... window loops used to be WAY too strong. I don't think looping is the main issue, it's also the Killers powers and their mobility as well.

The main problems that I see most of the killers having in the low tiers is that their base powers are simply too weak.
Well it's that, but it's also the mobility and map pressure potential as well.
Map design also is a factor as well...

Funny thing is though, that Super Smash Brothers Ultimate have been doing this exact same thing with their diverse roster of 74+ characters, and the community is saying that the game's never been better! Overwatch, however is nerfing anyone who helps define the current meta and the game's in shambles. DbD is starting to head more down this path and that's scary. We need to stop the trend now.
It would help with the overall health of the game in spades...
They might even be doing this after Spirits nerf and we don't even know... they have said they're looking into aiding in Pigs add-ons and other Killers add-ons, which is a step in the right direction.
Maybe in the future we can see more reworks or buffs to the low tier Killers base-kits as well.

Reworking maps in a faster pace to make them more suitable for weaker killers plus buffing the weaker killers (either directly or through QoL stuff) would improve killer diversity A LOT.
Very true, most of the issues that M1 Killers have is from the map design and some of the loops in-general... While Meat Plant doesn't have this issue at all because it's literally a box... other maps like Lampkin lane with perks that abuse the loops is horrible to face...
Especially if the entire team uses Balanced Landing because one person told them so and they're bringing a offering for the map lol.
I play mostly mid to low tier Killers for the challenge and to help the diversity... but man... if you get a really strong Survivor sided map you might 2k, 3k if you're lucky. If they're REALLY coordinated than i'll be lucky to 1k.

I find the reluctance to address the lower end of the the killer roster astonishing. I initially thought that nerfing Nurse and Spirit was a mistake. But hopefully this might be part of a grand plan to even out the killers. When everyone was playing Hillbilly I absolutely hated it. Now everyone has abandoned Hillybilly he doesn't bother me so much.
We need fewer people playing the same killers to keep it interesting and players need more incentive to play the others. The nerfs are the first step but they MUST follow this up by buffing those at the bottom.
I play almost every low to mid tier Killer while switching between them each time.
This is kind of why I do it, but I also do it because I find Spirit and pre-nerf Nurse to be amazingly boring... I don't even use Billy anymore despite him being quite balanced.
I guess I like the challenge, or maybe I just want people to face something that isn't Spirit every match... either or. After playing a lot of Survivor again after awhile of doing it once or twice in awhile... I can say that playing against her is one thing... but facing her 3 times in a row with several DCs is... terrible.

I will miss them, I do hope they reconsider this choice. Without the unique festive events than what will we have? If it's just about the BP grind than there won't be a soul to it...

Idk, it's how it is I guess.
I do hope I was able to answer your questions though, you have a good one now! (If you're satisfied.)

She needed these nerfs greatly, any nerf to her would make her less dull to play against... and actually give a counter to her phasing.

The new matchmaking system will only be to help the one stuck in the loop of old lobby being pass by new lobby, after a certain moment that you are waiting a pack of players in a similar situation will be removed from the search and put in a "bucket" like they said. Then a new list of matchmaking will be done with that bucket of player, to the best they can with the players in there, This way it ensure that you will play but sometimes... my create bad matchmaking.
Lets say you have 40 survivor and 10 killers in that bucket. 30 of the survivor are rank 8 and 5 are rank 10, 4 rank 12 and 1 rank 20.
That will be something like
8-8-8-8
8-8-8-8
8-8-8-8
8-8-8-8
8-8-8-8
8-8-8-8
8-8-8-8
8-8-10-10
10-10-10-12
12-12-12-20
With the killer close to the ranks of the group
I dont think that kind of list will happen too often, but considering that the matchmaking is considering only Rank and Geolocalisation. Even if you are in a bucket you still the alone one far because of the Geo so will be match with the worst group.
Granted also theses matchs above could be different because of Geo, but it will only make it worst. But hey i guess its better to start a game with a hard group than not starting one. I would prefer that than waiting 20min
Will see in January
They'll be doing something different than that.
From what I heard, people have speculated that they'll pair say... Trappers that're of Red Rank skill in the same category as Survivors that're equal to that skill... as well as other Trappers that're similar to that skill bracket.
There is no official information on what they'll be doing though... so we'll have to just wait.

I guess this makes some sort of confounded sense.
Doesn't really justify getting sent a message spelling out the "N" word after absolutely failing at playing Hag and trying to make light of it & reaching out to the other players hoping to make DbD friends.
But anyway I don't think I had even reached 15 either side. Believe I was still in yellow ranks. And the reset dropped me to 17ish on both sides.
But really I guess my question is why?
Why the replay, where is the lasting enjoyment?
Like I've enjoyed this game up to now. But aside from buying new characters it's all just grind and repeat. And fend off unneccessary trash talk and toxicity.
The rank reset is to keep things fresh for everyone at high or low ranks.
If you're kept at the same rank with the same players... than things would get boring. And due to how the ranking system is right now, everyone would eventually hit Red Ranks... and if the ranks didn't reset than players would be paired with a lot of other players that're far above or far below them...
Don't worry though, they'll be reworking the ranking system soon as one of their upcoming projects for the road map they've released... soon people will be able to be paired with players of their own rank bracket.
I'm sorry you've encountered such toxic behavior, if you haven't already than please do report them so they're punished for saying such... selective words. Don't be discouraged though! There is always some bad apples in the bunch, but you can find a lot of good apples as well!

Well, regardless if it does or not... it's a 2 second long interruption. We know that you'll give the notification if you're within range of the Terror Radius, and since it interrupts every other action... than it would interrupt repairing as well.
Regardless, even if it does that... you'll still just be able to hold M1 and continue repairing... so it doesn't really matter if it does or not.
But yes, it does... why wouldn't it?

I updated the answer above to reflect this, anyways... I find it "interesting" that they even added cross-platform if it is to play with a really niche area of the DBD community.
Just seems, odd to me personally.
