Dude this is extremely selfish thing to even post...this would not be a fair banSythalin said:In order to help the community as a whole, the devs should not only be banning DCs/overly toxic players, but should also be removing players that are "under performing", aka "bads".
Criteria: Losing 30%+ of games in a week. Statistically, anyone who is legit trying to play the game will never have less than 30% of game losses, just like they should theoretically never DC innocently more than 30% of the time.
Define "losing"
Survivor: Failing to escape
Killer: Failing to kill 2/4
According to BHVR, these are the criteria for "average" games.Result: No longer eligible to play in public games, but can still participate in KYF matches.
This would help better players have better quality games overall. People who clearly don't actually want to play the game, but lack the intelligence and/or willpower to just uninstall and move on, are no longer able to ruin the game for everyone else. By being restricted to KYF games only, they can [BAD WORD] off all they want during their games (and also make it impossible to refund since they can still play the game without the online factor - see F13 for reference).

there is one simple way to balance swf imo , cut out the exp and bloodpoint counts from a swf group . That way those who just want to have fun with friends can , and they don't have to balance around it and making it too hard for killer against the majority of swf , or to hard for solo survivors to play against killers . If you don't reward something people wont use it to their advantage , that should also take a lot of the toxic behavior out of it since those players usually rely on anything but skill to play and if they stand nothing to gain whats the point for them to do it .

Despite its description, Spine Chill works off of a (tight) cone, same as Premonition. Killers would definitely look in your direction as they were headed toward you, and if you were to simply position yourself strategically, this wouldn't be a problem to begin with. The same thing applies to Premonition - positioning would become relevant. Right now I can hold M1 and just leave in the opposite direction the Killer is coming from without a care in the world, no matter where I am on the generator. The Shape can't pull anyone off anything when you can simply rotate your camera 360º the whole time.
ok im sorry i thought you meant like a first person view not just forced forward in third. but yes the shape pulls me off when running moniter and abuse at tier 1 50% of the time by being very sneaky
Nah, not first person. I don't like having my face stuck in a generator any more than you do.
I honestly don't know how you get pulled off. I had a Shape try that on me and as soon as I heard the heartbeat (no M&A, obviously, but still), I was out of there and lost him. He only managed to get that close because I got sloppy and stopped looking around. I mean, he wears a bright white mask. It's almost impossible not to see him.
i know right. to be fair it was on lerys memorial institute i was on the middle gen and he dropped from above and grabbed me. i literally died right then and there from a heart attack.

If you play solo, often you play 3v1, because one disconnects in the loading screen, or at the beginning (giving you 5 gens to do with 3 survivors), or when dowend the first time.
Also, if its down to you and another one, you are not the looser because you try to do gens until caught while the other one hatchcamps, waiting for you to die.
Thats the reasons why swf is important in this game.

NOED is the best perk you can have in my opinionSteveyHooves said:So the spirit has a obsession perk I find to be a better version of NOED. Am I wrong about that.
NOED is a hex which means the exposed status effect, the recover boost and speed boost can be disabled. Where...
Rancor can't disable the exposed status, but no recover or speed boost. On top you see the survivors for a few seconds every time they finish a gen. with the trade off you see them for 5/4/3. when all the gens are done you can Mori your obsession though.
Personally I'm not a great player but I'd say Rancor beats NOED. -

I say there should be at least 3-4 generators that needs to be done in order for a hatch to open. 2 generators states that the game wasn’t going to well so you basically lost. However we have no idea of telling who won or lost. In identity V it tells you who won, lost or if it was draw.
And I am not sure if you saying you can get kills easily, but I disagree. It is more challenging for the killer than the survivor unless you are fully new to the game. -
It would take 8 hooks in total to swipe a team but now it take 12 hooks... I think it would be welcome change cuz you would play survivor more stealthier and carefully.

Maybe 2 part game where you have 4 gens on the top layer and after powering 2 of them the bottom maze layer open and the real trial begins?ceridwen309 said:I pictured something like a two layer map. The top being mostly flat, with occasional brush and trees...maybe a building.
The bottom would be like the catacombs under Paris(I think that's where they are..).
Creepy, and yet very doable for a maze like structure underneath....and a mostly normal above.
Either that....or we use a broken down mansion that frames a hedge maze garden on three sides. The mansion would have two floors(or more), and the maze would be of a moderate size and contain a fountain or statue in the center.
mazes are wonderful...but if they have no reason for being there....it feels more like a minigame.(And right now...dead by daylight has enough of that going around.)

Devs could do another Mode where 2 swf groups could face 2 killers... That would be awesomeShrimpTwiggs said:@FinLadd said:
ShrimpTwiggs said:A lot of people playing this game enjoy playing it with friends. If you implement this idea, then queue times for SWF will go through the roof. They could go solo, but what's more likely to happen is that they'll leave DBD and play a different game to hang out with friends. Punishing people for playing in a group could end up causing a large chunk of players to leave, essentially killing this game. I'm all for balancing the game, but I don't think that this is the best way to go.
Point was that killers should have A choice to have A fair game
I know that, but most killers won't choose to play SWF groups. This would cause a massive spike in queue times for a large chunk of the player base and possibly drive them away, which would increase queue time for killers and solo survivors as well. A lot people play this game with their friends, so excluding them could hurt the game. Again, I agree that SWF is too strong and should be balanced, but this option could end up killing DBD.

It would be nice if the killer could choose where the hexes are placed. I know it would take a huge amount of time and effort for the devs, but it would be interesting if during the loading screen, the killer can customize the where their hex perk(s) go. This can work in one of two ways, both of which gives the killer an advantage over the survivors by knowing the terrain in advance.
The killer would be given 30 seconds to free roam the map at 300% speed before the survivors spawn in. In this time, they would be completely unable to use their powers, and be able to see the auras of generators and hooks (places to avoid placing their hexes). The killers would be able to place the hex totems in a place of their choosing, requiring the hex perks be placed a certain distance away from each other (so they can't be clustered together). Placing a hex totem would work exactly like a Trapper placing his traps. Once the 30 seconds are over, the killer's vision will be masked and will be loaded into their spawn point. Any unplaced hex totems will then be randomly placed. Perhaps make killers always spawn in the basement (also for them to know exactly where it is), and have hex perks required to be placed a certain distance away from the basement.
The killer would be given 30 seconds to see a map of the trial. The map would show the location of all generators and hooks, and there would be dozens of circles of places hex totems could be placed (in the case of The Game, the top and bottom floors would show up side-by-side. The killer can select a circle, and the designated hex perk will spawn there. If the killer has more than one hex perk, the next hex would require it be placed a certain distance away from the first. After 30 seconds, the map goes away, and any unplaced hex totems will then be randomly placed.
Option A would allow the killer to attempt to make the hex totems hidden, whereas Option B would assign it to the general area. I'll be frank, as a survivor main, the totems have some crappy spawn points. I feel bad when hex totems can be found out in the open, like there was no attempt at all for the game to conceal it.
Dude yes. .. We need this but im afraid that we will never get these awesome ideas through that People write on this forum

There´s currently a Humble Bundle spooky sale. Where you can pickup DbD alongside other games for 15$. Or you wait for a normal sale. DbD has roughly 1 sale per month where the price drops to 10$.
The best killers are free. But every DLC has at least some nice perks. You can unlock the original killers with playtime. But that takes about 6 weeks for a single killer. On pc we have often dlc sales, where the price drops to about 50%.I think I saw dlc sales for ps4. That said, if you play, you will eventually get those shards anyway, so even if takes 6 weeks, you will still get those
Does that mean we can buy killers with Shards?
Yes

This can't be for real otherwise all game companys would be broke in no time.Yeah, I call bullshit. Such a price would make publishers go bankrupt, because they don't get 40000 per patch; patches are essentially irrelevant in terms of sales. Probably just another publisher whining about how game development is super expensive, even though game-related profits have constantly increased.
1) It did cost this much at the time the article was written. It was a huge point of contention between MS and indie devs for a long time until MS somewhat recently dropped to patch fee completely.
2) Do you have ANY idea how much it costs to make a game nowadays? Here is a chart from a decade ago...
(Here's the link, IDK why the picture is so small https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/vgsales/images/c/c6/Factor_5_dev_costs.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20080705213346)$20 million baseline to make a successful game in 2006. You know what it would cost today? $500 MILLION. Yep. That's the MINIMUM you need to make super high profile games like CoD or Battlefield. MINIMUM. And those games have way bigger budgets than $500 million. "But BVHR isn't EA/Activision, they are a small team with a small game." True, but that doesn't mean it's cheap for them to develop DBD. Chances are the game has costed them 10's of millions by this point, but since they make millions more over that budget (ie. profit) they can afford to continue to develop content for the game (which costs more money BTW). Trust, if the game wasn't making a profit we wouldn't be getting any more content right now.
Source for the graph? Is it adjusted for inflation?
