I just think this version of haunted by daylight was a huge failure however you look at it, last years was better for both killer and survivor rn IMO.
yes the smokebomb is cool, but I honestly feel I had so much more value from haunts the previous year, and the void it was easier to catch people off guard as the portals were temporary so people felt they needed to go in there and then
Nothing about last year's event was better or even good for killer.
-
That change would make it completely useless. You'd have a mid-range attack that would only work on survivors walking in a straight line.
-
The proper balance for the basekit Mori would be to give survivors a special animation they can equip to play for them whenever they run out the exit gate.
-
Only if she gets a proper chase power. As she is now, all she has is her teleport and sticking a cooldown on it would feel terrible.
-
Alternatively: None of this. The base kit mori is essentially just an alternate hook for the final survivor, nothing more. Survivors don't need buffing because of it.

I think you misunderstand something: If you're able to get full life after an unhook, you're not getting tunneled - unless you have Second Wind and become full life in mid chase.
But I get your point with Deliverance, that sounds fine to me and I can live with it.
Unless the killer had stepped away from the hook to go kick a gen and the rescuer had a medkit and/or healing build and quickly healed you under hook before the killer got back.
-
The game will never return to hide and seek unless you manage to erase everyone's memory of the game. It didn't turn to cat and mouse because of perks, the perks are a result of the game turning into cat and mouse because survivors learned that was the most effective way to play. As long as looping remains effective and survivors know looping is effective, the game will always be cat and mouse.
-
That's a huge nerf to an easily countered perk.

Start of the match they bee line toward a survivor, get the down, hook and reveal. Most likely they'll go for the nearest survivor. Once you see the auras you know who is who unless they are all playing the same survivor with the same skin the outlines are pretty discernable. Also thanks to aura reveal they know who is running injured, 9/10 it's a freshly unhooked survivor. Everytime you get an aura reveal are you going to run to the gen that's about to pop or the injured hook stage 2 survivor?
How many generators are done? Would I be able to interrupt the one getting finished? Is it a gen that letting survivors complete would split the remaining gens in a way that's favorable for the survivors? Is that generator in an area I've chased before and has resources depleted? Is that one on the nearly completed gen a weak looper so they'd both go down fast and I'd get to slow down gens getting completed? Has that "injured stage 2 survivor" been injured for a while and thus likely wants to stay injured? Do they have a medkit and possibly their heal 99%'d so they can act as bait? Are they hovering near strong loops knowing I have aura read in an attempt to bait me to waste my time on them?

It's a known bug.

"Hey, want to try this horror pvp game? It's 4 horror victims trying to survive and escape against a killer so you'll lose a bit more than you win. It's fun, minus the matches you get with players who sabotage games by giving up at the very start."
-
It won't happen. There's no way to tell the difference between an internet disconnect and someone manually switching off their wifi or unplugging their cable.

Stake out does this same thing so why is stake out ok?
Stake Out does something completely different from Distortion, that's why it's okay.

The filter needs to be completely redone. Instead of whatever terrible bot they use for it, it should be a curated list of blocked words and have the option to turn it off.

I agree that it feels to me like the survivor role is just being victimized by the update, but I can only imagine what bully squads would get up to with such a thing :O
I also recognize that some survivor players even like to watch moris from the survivor perspective, but I do think the finisher mori makes moris so common that I feel survivors should get a way of resisting them. In a similar way to how you can struggle against being carried and dying on hook, if moris can now happen in any match regardless of offerings or perks, I think survivors should be given some agency in that scenario.
You're not supposed to have any agency in a mori, just like you're not supposed have any agency after you're hooked the third time. Your role in the match is over, you lost.
-
Unless you bled one out or didn't have just his three perks equipped, then it's a bug. You can get adepts with moris (I got Chucky's yesterday with the last kill mori).
-
Or NOED is fine and isn't even good.
-
I'd like at least the ability to have one current tome and one old tome challenge selected at the same t ime.
-
They did ruin Coldwind. They ruined the atmosphere by making it a bright pile of brown and they gave it basically nothing for anyone to work with during the match.

If one of the most unfun things to ever grace any game ever is causing the majority of players to not want to play, I'm pretty sure anyone in that situation would nerf Skull Merchant into D tier to save the game.
She was only the most unfun when players played 3 gen merchant. Other than that, she's ever been just an okay info killer or someone who only punished terrible survivors, especially in her state before her gutting.

The issue is that only benefits the killer. I don’t agree with infinite unbreakable at all but this also is not a fair option. Because then killers will just 4 man slug everyone knowing the survivors will force bleed out to get out of the match, killer gets their 4K. That takes zero effort, skill and artificially inflates MMR and kill rates
It is a fair option. It stops full length bleedouts while not giving a huge buff to either side. It's not like I suggested that killer gets permanent aura read or a speed buff after a survivor bleeds out.@TheDavidKingMain said:
Devs almost did this, but guess who complained. Killer mains. Their favorite.
Yes, their favorite. That's why they just completely gutted a killer since survivor mains were ragequitting on hook against her.
-
It won't be 0%. Even Freddy manages to get kills because of bad players.

i still giving up instantly against her. I dont care, its not how much weak or strong she is. She is absolute unberable and i cant stay in the matches against her. She should be the first delete charather in the game.
A good example of why balance changes shouldn't happen because of crybabies and quitters. Nothing will satisfy people like this. -
How about no? Survivors don't need any ridiculously strong buffs like that. Instead, just make it so a survivor can force bleed out after being on the ground so long.
-
How is every match being delayed half an hour by killer? The only way that can happen is if the survivors are hiding excessively and not doing their objective at all.
-
You're not seriously using a joke post to try to back up you want Dracula nerfed, are you? Did you even read the thread?
-
Hard no. Why would they fix distortion countering every addon and perk that does aura reading for no effort only to make a stronger version?
-
I agree with changing the color, but for the opposite reason. I like the blue color and hate that it's being used for skins that won't ever be able to be gotten again. I'd rather them change it to a color I didn't like (or just stop with the deep rift skins because fomo is stupid).

You're whining to the wrong people. go whine to Sony about non-free games requiring PS+ to play online.

Bhvr makes soloq miserable.
Wonders why people don't want to stay in trails.
State they have no plans to fix this.
I'd say a pretty good job so far.
BHVR can't force people to play the game. Bad survivors is what makes solo queue miserable.
-
@YuiMyQueen said:
I think if the game went back to around 50%killrate it would feel 100 times better than now. The fact that you can play an entire evening of soloq and not escape once and it's not even that extraordinary already shows how miserable it is. In a state like that you can't even blame people for giving up early, most games are hopelessly lost before they even start and I get why people don't want to stick around and rather try again.
I mean it would feel better for survivor until once again they have 10+ minute queues because killer players stopped playing once again because a kill rate designed around killers on average never winning isn't enjoyable.

If hits were entirely based on the killers perspective though there would never be an instance of a killer hitting a survivor, them screaming and bleeding, and then being uninjured
Or grabs that started, turned into M1s, and missed.
-
It is impossible to tell the difference between someone having a legitimate connection issue and someone unplugging their pc or turning off their wifi. All this would do is give penalty free disconnects, which should never happen.
-
When it comes to names ending in the letter S, you can either just use an apostrophe or 's.
-
People want new game modes and modifiers they enjoy. If one isn't enjoyable, they're allowed to complain.

Both of these are fine. Blast mine can be irritating after running into it a lot, but that's it.

Survivors are not compensated when they are nerfed. Self Care, Decisive Strike, Dead Hard, Circle of Healing were all nerfed into uselessness in most cases. No compensation to survivors that likes to use them.
I think killers are not used to being on the other end.
One, those perks are still good. Two, killers are very used to having their perks gutted. Three, this would be like if they took Feng Min and make her move slower and do actions slower than all other survivors, not if a perk got nerfed.
-
I would love to know who is constantly demanding this change be pushed, because it's hard to believe it's any of the game devs. Nobody who takes a second to think of it would think this is remotely a good change for the health of the game. Same with some of the UI changes recently, honestly.

I used to get really angry at players who played very selfishly, as mentioned in the game's Steam description, I don't play survivor much anymore. Whenever I rescue someone, another person goes down and gets hooked at the same time, and when I go to rescue them, yet another person gets hooked, and this cycle repeats until the game ends. I haven't even touched a generator. The funny thing is that most of the time, when I get hooked for the first time, they just hide like cowards and let me go to the second stage.
For the killer side:
The new rank system is really terrible. I just started playing as a killer, and I’ve already reached red rank. Is this a joke? What is this MMR? Dude, just a few days ago, I was asking for advice on which killer to start with. Okay, I don't camp or tunnel, but I’m not playing that well either, this is nonsense. It shouldn’t be this easy. I really miss the old rank system, where it wasn’t this easy to reach red rank.Rank has nothing to do with MMR anymore. The only thing it affects is the bloodpoints you get on the 13th of the month, when it resets.
-
Definitely not and not in game either. The community can't be trusted to not make the game miserable for others or suiciding on hook even more because they saw a perk they don't like or isn't meta.
-
Letting people disconnect whenever they want isn't the way to keep a good player base. Bots aren't as good as decent players and exist to mitigate the damage done by the disconnect, not serve as a real replacement. You're still making the match harder for your fellow survivors when you disconnect, potentially killing any chance of them escaping. Also, if your internet is being that bad, take the penalty as the game telling you to take a break until better.

It's better than no teammate, and as for killers, keep the DC penalty till we get killer bots. Also, no survivor wants to be down a whole teammate because someone is having a tantrum. Are you fine with any match you got where the killer got a advantage because a player decides to kill themselves on hook? If I wanted to have a miserable experience, I'd play an unfair game like Halo 2 Laso.
If one side gets no dc penalty, both sides need to. Also, if you read my first post, I said they should remove hook suicides. I'm not fine with survivors ruining games, but you make it harder to ruin games, not easier.

So they'll be replaced with a bot instead of killing themselves on the hook.
Bots are only a replacement for a bad player. Any half decent player, its a downgrade. Also, no killer wants to play against bots, as they're just boring to play against. If they wanted that, they'd be in customs. Plus, that's only for survivors. Are you fine with any match you got an advantage in ending early when the killer decides to leave? Or, if they added them, always playing against a bot killer in any winning game?
-
They should not remove the dc penalty. Instead, they should remove hook suicides. You make it harder for people to ragequit and ruin the game for everyone else, not easier.
I do agree with lowering the cost of the oldest original characters. -

when is corrupt intervention or lethal pursuer finally getting changed? I mean if the only criteria is being used a lot they need to be on the plan first. Change my mind.
Corrupt only has a pick rate of 15.7% and Lethal 15.2%. That's not comparable to the pick rate of a perk that's more than both of them combined.
-
What you want isn't balance, it's for the game to be unbalanced in the side you play's favor. You're not supposed to escape a killer in chase, but make it last as long as possible.
-
That is one IP that should never, ever be added to the game.

I literally ran to the basement and was downed there. This killer downed everyone at least 5 times each and refused to hook us with plenty of hooks everywhere. The basement in the last screenshot IS RIGHT THERE. Stop making excuses for terrible behavior in a video game. People that play like this do not deserve the benefit of any doubt. You know why they do this. Everyone knows why they do this. They do it to be toxic.
Running to the basement like that is a good reason to slug. People that do that obviously have Wicked (like you do in that screenshot) and want to be hooked down there for an easy self unhook. It's often a better choice to slug them to force someone to come pick them up for the pressure.
