Imo NTH should just be centered on the gen instead of the killer (like how it was when it was bugged) and then it’s fine.

But kicking a gen as a high mobility killer and then seeing survivors in a large radius around you while you’re quickly traversing the map is dumb. Every killer aura reading perk in the game is balanced imo except for this one.

I still think that 24m are a big deal. You basically can't stealth away without Distortion since you don't get away soon enough. 16m should be fine IMO.

  • The perk is in a weak spot. On most maps it has 0 impact so the current purpose of this perk is mainly to annoy the killer. Maybe this perk should bring back the effect of the beta wiggle where you get a boost in progression if you hit the great skillchecks (the great skillchecks should be as hard to hit when the wiggle mechanic was in beta). They can also keep the side effect that you get a huge progression boost when the killer falls from a high place. On the flipside it shouldn't have the annoying increase in wiggle like in the current version. This makes the perk actually stronger for certain builds but not as annoying anymore.

  • They need to nerf the range of Nowhere To Hide aside from that the perk is fine. You still require a gen that you can kick. CoB is the easiest perk to counter so that perk needs no treatment at all. The devs should look at Overcharge though. Why is the skillcheck staying when the gen regressed to 0? Makes no sense to me.

  • I suppose a lot of the good Nurse players stopped playing her because the music is too goddamn annoying. I can't play heer ATM because the loud music hurts my ears and I don't want to play with a low volume. So rn I mainly play Billy and Bubba. Nurse maybe still in customs and 1v1s where I don't care about sound that much but not in pubs.

I have seen a lot of negativity towards survivors because of the eruption change that i don't agree.

Most sensible survivors complained about eruption because of the incapacitated effect and how unfun it was.

But most also tried to compensate the perk by either upping the regression or removing the cooldown.

The problem with eruption was how unfun and cheap it felt, but nobody wanted the perk to get gutted or wants killers to have all their perks gutted, that is complete untrue.

And while i still hate eruption for all this past months playing, i still want bhvr to reconsider and at least keep the regression as a flat value.

Where did you get the energy that there is a huge amount of hate towards the survivors because of the Eruption change? Literally everyone is acknowledging the fact, that BHVR overnerfed it. But no one is blaming survivors for that. If anything people are blaming BHVR for overnerfing another perk instead of simply removing the incapacitated and letting the regression as it is. But no they have to give this perk the Ruin treatment making it very useless.

  • Yeah it hurts and literally the main reason that drives me off when playing her. Like why do they think making a sound so incredibly loud is a good idea. It never was and it never will be the case.

  • It's always worth saving BP for the next chapter. You never know if they have decent teachables or if they killer has an appealing power for you. You can also save a huge amount of BP in the tomes by just collecting the rewards of certain challenges and saving others. There are guides in this forums that explain you which tome challenges you have to collect to save the most amount of BP if you want to keep as much as possible for later. Saving daily challenges gives you a good amount of BP as well. Now you don't have to save that many BP to the point where you stop spending from now on but atleast try to save a good amount so you unlock at least the teachables for one character of your choice wether it's the survivor or killer.

  • It's not like you could already tell if a gen reaches 70% no no. Only now you can tell when tinkerer procced... sure bud

  • @ironblade said:

and dead hard, circle of healing and windows of opportunity are fine too. There are no problems with these perks. What would balance the game though is nerfing Scourge hook pain resonance. I also like the any means necessary buff it actually is useful now which brings more perk viability on the table.

So basically gutting the next killer meta slowdown perk? Gotchu!

  • The BT is like a normal hit. No idea where you are coming from. If you are getting tunneled this frequently how about running an Anti-Tunnel build. DS, DH and Off the Record. You eat the first hit get downed the killer eats DS and you still have DH. That should buy you enough time and if you are getting tunneled every game you probably are not really sitting on gens too much.

  • @TheArbiter said:

Noticed a lot more Spirits than usual lately, I couldn't remember the last time i played against one, but the past week they have been everywhere. At least it breaks up the blight and nurse matches I guess. Anyone else playing a lot more Spirits?

I don't know when the last time was where I faced a Spirit. They are really rare nowadays

  • @Steakdabait said:

i would rather be tunneled out of a match in 2 minutes than be handcuffed to a match for 40 minutes. Also, can people please stop saying "killers are gonna have to tunnel more now!!1!" after every single slowdown nerf, it gets somehow more sad each time someone repeats it.

Because thats what happened everytime slowdown perks got nerfed? The amount of tunneling was much higher after the prestige overhaul but got a lot less once more and more killers used Eruptions since that perk is a huge carry. But that huge carry is gone soon so killers will just look what brings them wins again. And that is tunneling

  • @Rudjohns said:

    Please tunnel more

But don't complain if people are killing themselves on hook or DCing

Where did I say I will tunnel more? Oh yeah I never did. You are just accusing me of doing so. I was making this post based on my experience. After the big perk overhaul there was a huge surge of tunneling killers in my matches. But once Eruption got used more often, less and less killers began to tunnel since Eruption was already enough to carry them to victories. Now that Eruption will be gutted killers have no overpowered perk anymore so they will just tunnel harder just like after the Meta Shakeup. Atleast thats what I think is going to happen based on MY experience

  • @jajay119 said:

Killers tunnel with any loadout because its easy. Literally admitted by most killers when DH got nerfed. Stop deflecting.

In what sense am I deflecting? It is MY experience in survivor games. Once Eruption became more popular killers tunneled less in my survivor games. My concern is that tunneling will get worse once that perk is getting gutted. Yes tunneling is easy. But not every player wants to win games by tunneling. And what has the DH nerf to do with it? That didn't made tunneling less easy.

  • @Snowflake_Syndrome said:

I get to avoid all this drama cause I never used Eruption at all. Yay for me.

Same but almost all killers I face do use it. So it will mostly impact my survivor games

  • @Bwsted said:

Tunneling is rampant in my experience already. I don't see how that could change for worse if it's already the go-to strategy.

In my experience tunneling became a lot less rampant once people realized just how broken Eruption is. Once that perk is nerfed there is no overpowered killer perk anymore that acts as a safety net for killers so I'm already prepared to see the killer tunnel every match

  • @yauniqua said:

no they wont where did you get that info from seems fake

I "got" that info based on my own experience. After the big meta shakeup where Ruin and PGTW got nerfed the amount of tunneling in my matches drastically increased. But because people realized over time just how broken Eruption is they found a new effective strategy to win games without resorting to heavy tunneling: The Eruption meta or gen kicking meta. Eruption was a safety net for low tier killers that stalled survivors from being too effective on gens so they didn't have to take out a survivor early. So (atleast thats what happened in my survivor matches) killers tunneled a lot less. But once Eruptions will get nerfed into the ground killers will tryhard more to win their games again

  • @C3Tooth said:

Killers said the same when the 40 perks update happen : (

And it became true. There was a massive surge of tunneling once the big meta shakeup happened. Before that I got tunneled occasionally. After that it became very common.

  • SImple solution. Keep the new aura part and keep the regression part (current progress is always a horrible change). Maybe buff the regression to 15%

  • Honestly I'm fine with any kind of rework on this map as long as they keep the grass as it is. Trapper is suffering already

Happy now? There, you got what you wanted. Such entitled players i swear, god forbid a killer has something fun and nice to use in their add-on slots.

Yeah because it was only "fun" and surely not bringing back the thing that made it impossible to counter her. Adding the directional sound que was what made her balanced. Furin literally made her uncounterable again though she still had MD-Ring which I still don't understand. So no, I'm not happy now. There are a lot of other addons that are simply overpowered that need to get nerfed wether it's Blight, Spirit or Nurse. Addons should never make a killer overpowered.

  • @InsidiousSmartfaceLF said:

Now that Eruption is basically going to be useless for the same reason why Pop is useless (because % of current progress regression is terrible) I predict that Pain Res will be the next regression perk that behavior nerfs.

Ever since old Hex:Ruin the trend has always been nerfing whatever the meta killer regression perk is while the survivor meta perks are barely touched. Just leaving this here as a prediction.

They nerfed it already in the meta shakeup PTB but then decided to revert the nerf. So no I think it will stay the same

  • They finally killed that insanely unhealthy perk. The game health won once again.

  • Why are people comparing these two perks this much. And why do people thing that if one side retrieves a nerf the other side needs a nerf as well for compensation? Eruption is far more unhealthy for the game than DH. It's not even close. Atleast with DH you are allowed to play the game for the next 25 seconds.

  • Many players are having fun explicitly by ruining others fun. That's what drives them to toxic behaviour. Also survivors typically want chases and therefore provoke you into commiting to them. Your performance in this game is also driven by how calm and focused you are. If you are being massively BMed by a survivor in a chase that might get to you which leads to you getting nervous, mad and losing concentration. If you panic you will nake more mistakes and that's sometimes the reason they do it. The players in this games often have a massive ego as well so if they lose they have to ruin your feeling thaat you accomplished something by t-bagging at hatch and insulting you in the post game chat. They don't want you to be happy since they lost so now they need to ruin your fun. Yes some players are this petty.

The devs have confirmed it’s not Crotus, as it already got reworked in the Realm Beyond Update. They used that picture as a representative for the Realm Beyond Map updates.

the only Realms that didn’t get the update are Swamp and Red Forest. So one of these.

The reason why I thought that the picture was a teaser for the rework was that in the german version it sounded like that picture was a direct teaser for the next reworked realm. But yeah, the english version explicitly states that they want to wait with the teasers until the update comes closer. My bet is that it's going to be swamp then.

I know, I wasn’t really implying they WONT fix it. I’m just saying that across the history of gaming, bugs have been implemented into games as features. I would say it’s possible for the hug tech to be kept. I think fixing collision is an extremely tricky task, hence why it hasn’t been done yet. And it’s not a game breaking aspect of blight.

I appreciate your last point, of keeping it until the normal collision is fixed. That’s completely fair.

Well I'm aware of map collision being hard to fix. But they really should focus on that. The hitboxes on Borgo are hot garbage

  • @HugTechLover said:

I would love to see a vampire killer as well. It’s a stable of the horror genre and we don’t have it in DBD yet. I think it’s time!

There are certain types of potential killers that could be implemented. A lot of popular too. A pirate for example. Or a killer based on a famous myth.

  • @HoodedWildKard said:

A vampire killer would be cool. Plenty of decent licensed ones (mummy dimetrescu)

But an origional one would be interesting. Could be a serial killer with an obsession for blood/vampires who gets turned into an actual vampire in the entity's realm. Would make for an interesting backstory.

Yeah a vampire has so much lore potential. We know that BHVR is able to write great lores for certain characters (let's put Artist aside) so it might be a realy good idea

I'm not exaggerating when i say "the only time i got hit with hubris was from a dedicated enduring / fury / hubris combo " but the issue is A you give 3 slots B once survivor finds out you have 1 perk left to work with ,survivors will just predrop and you are left blue balled

It's a combination that banks on the survivors playing soloQ and not paying enough attention.

  • Dodging is lame. But sometimes I just realize that I don't want to play anymore or a friend wants to SWF or something else happens. Those are my core reasons to dodge

Hello, I'm mainly surv, but lately I start play killer more and I wanted to see ur opinion about good killer perks. Here are the perks which I use and tbh I find em very good, bcz they require some playstyle (not only stay and camp or wait until the end with Noed totem) and I wanted to see opinion of more ppl who play killer. According to me for example, noed is not good perk if u want to be good killer because force u to wait until end if u failed to chase and kill survs (no bad feelings for ppl who use it). But some ppl msg me that my perks are toxic, I don't think so since they force me to play in dif situations, unlike noed for example. What do you think?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/JIAWFVR4J2N0/img-20230209-214532-edit-3328123055474972.jpg

There is nothing toxic about perks, it's the playstyle (not accusing you of playing toxic) that can be viewed as toxic. But I also don't think that your build is good for trickster. You are a killer that has a slower movement speed than most killers and exposed only works for M1s so better don't use them (except Iron Maiden for reloads). A good perk is Pain Resonance as you don't need to walk towards a gen to kick it. Deadlock is also very strong basically it prevents survivor from being fully efficient on gens. Other slowdowns like Gift of Pain is good. It can keep survivors injured due to the mangled effect and if they heal they get a repair penalty which takes away some pressure. No Way Out also can be a gamechanger because it stalls them from opening the exit gates. Fearmonger (formerly known as Mindbreaker) is also good for him since it counters Sprint Burst which is a strong exhaustion perk against trickster.

But ultimately play what you want and however you want. Let no one tell you how you are supposed to play if you have fun playing the game.

  • @TigerSnake said:

Normally I’d say this is a good thing as BHVR’s notoriously bad when it comes to designing good and balanced maps, but assuming swamp is the next one to get reworked, I already know that they’re gonna ruin that one and keep the streak of dog water maps going. Who’s ready for Pale Rose to become Gideon 2.0?

It's most likely The crotus prenn realm that gets reworked next. The teaser picture they showed looks like the main of the disturbed ward

  • Nah I hope they don'T make a new map soon. The ones released recently are horrible. They should fix the current ones before pumping out new ones.

  • Yeah. Removing hug tech and making his base recharge slower does not make him weaker in the slightest. He will almost just be as good as he is right now.

  • @HugTechLover said:

Yea I would. His basekit does not need to be nerfed in the slightest though.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3340360#Comment_3340360

There are many times that “bugs” make it into the game as full accepted features.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3340362#Comment_3340362

Looking down to avoid collision was implemented on purpose. They didn’t mean to make it work at the start of a rush though, which is the hug tech.

The misconception is that the hug tech is a super strong “bug”. In reality, it’s just a more fun, less efficient way to play around tiles. Bump logic is superior.

Mandy already confirmed that hug tech is being considered a bug and will therefore be removed someday (though this is BHVR we are talking about so no idea if this ever happens). The thing that kinda annoys me is that hug tech allows you to preserve one rush which should never be a thing. Though I'm against removing it unless they fix map collision so you can bump on any object properly.

  • Prestiges =/= skill. I've seen so many mediocre P100 players.

  • @Mooks said:

But if it’s called „Dead by Daylight“ then everyone should stay alive since all maps have a set day/night-time which doesn’t change to daylight at all. Even the daylight maps are excused because the title probably means the very next occurring daylight.

Let#s make a deal. Survivors will 4 man out on night time maps and killers 4k at day time maps. Sounds like a fair deal to me.

  • Oh yeah? Then let me tell you this. Killers aren'T entitled to 4k every game and if you go for 4ks you shouldn't be surprised if you go against tryhard survivors. That's on you. Stop pointing with your finger on one side like this is not a killer main issue as well.

  • @MarKrTheDemigod said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3340308#Comment_3340308

The thing is that it IS fun for survivors but it IS frustrating for the killers. Even more so when you have those types who T-bag you once they jump through any window or drop any pallet, once you finally down one of them, the others go immediately for a flashlight save or start sabotaging hooks so you cannot hook anyone. It way easier to coordinate these things when you're on voicecoms.

Saying that "not all SWF are tryhards" might be true but it feels like there are more tryhard swf groups.

If the situation gets so bad that out of frustration even more people will rather play survivors than killers and wait times for a game get stretched to 10+ minutes, do you think it will be healthy for the state of the game?

Well toxicity is obviously a problem but most of them are toxic even in SoloQ so what can you do about it. And I find matches where survivors are saboing and flashlight saving more engaging since they are not sitting on gens 24/7. A genrushing squad is more boring to face.

And soloQ is still the worse experience in comparison to killers so I don'T believe that no one is going to play killer anymore

  • How about no? A 10 second immunity is too long. Also if they are swarming around you with flashlights that means they are doing no gens. If they get downed in the open simply slug them and slug them as well until you are safe to pick them up. And have you ever done the magical trick of looking up? I heard it works wonders.

  • If you are in "top MMR" that usually means that you play to win so don't be surprised that your opponents want to win as well.

  • @Zaydin said:

I am sick and tired of being matched up against toxic SWF groups. If I wanted that kind of pain I'd indulge in self-flagellation.

I can already hear the survivor mains objection now: "If you do that no Killer would opt in to SWF matchmaking!" which isn't the argument they think it is. If no Killer would opt into SWF matchmaking it should be rather obvious just how unfun it is for Killers to play against the borderline sanctioned cheating that is SWF.

SWF are a fundamental part in survivors. Not all SWF are tryhards. DBD is one of those games where many players want to enjoy the matches with their friends. If there is no SWF in this game anymore this game will die.

  • Neither role will ever be unplayable no matter how strong ceretain perks get nerfed. What's interesting though is the fact that they also mentioned CoH in the original german version which is something that I don't understand. It's not really problematic anymore and if they nerf this perk even more Boons will not be used frequently anymore meaning that one gameplay mechanic will become extremely rare. Also killers like Leatherface massively profit from survivors healing so this might be an indirect nerf to them. I just hope that they will adress the elefants in the room Which are gen progression and gen regression perks.

  • @Blueberry said:

Not healthy for the game. Needs a complete rework to something entirely different.

How so? It requires pure skill to time it once the killer knows that you have it and it is even counterable at pallets since they can't throw it while being locked in an animation. It's also very net dependant and the window of 0.5 seconds is pretty short so you need to be more precise with it. The only issue is the fact that it can negate insta down poewrs which is not a good thing. But other than that it's one of the most balanced exhaustion perks in the game especially in comparison to Lithe and SB which needs far less skill to pull off with a greater result.

  • It's not an unfair perk but massively overused, so much that it has gotten incredibly tiring to face. The worst thing about it is that it even counters the insta down abilitys especially the chainsaws which should never be a thing. You shouldn't be able to tank the chainsaws unless its BT, MoM or OtR.

  • @Nazzzak said:

I don't often see killer incentives at all, it's typically 100% survivor. Even this past Friday and Saturday night it got down to 25% survivor, when usually by 9pm it starts popping up with killer. And I still get super sweaty games at times. BHVR have said in the past that they prioritise queue times over MMR. They did MMR testing last year and iirc, the day that was most accurate in terms of MMR also had crazy long queue times.

And the top players were complaining about it, rightfully so. So they adjusted it and that led to the probably most sweaty time imaginable. Now it's not that bad anymore but you still have those awfully sweaty matches

  • @Piruluk said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3339879#Comment_3339879

Yeah I wouldnt mind to wait over 10+ minutes if I could get decent MMR.

Evenings is just unplayable as survivor on EU, well as solo, if u are in SWF no problem of course

You say that but that was one of the core reasons that basically killed VHS. Players don't want to wait so long for a match so they play something else.

  • They will be useable for the next Chinese New Year event. Only the Halloween offerings are useless

  • @Mistseer said:

Why? you chose the map, if you get downed instantly and d/c?! not only do you ruin the killers match, but the survivors as well. please for the love of all that the entity oversees, tell me why?

Because they bring a map offering for an easy win. They are usually sending you to a survivor sided map with a full meta loadout to get an easy escape and if things are not going their way they DC because of their ego being hurt
