So in a match with the night I successfully deadharded 4 times and each time I went down. That is a 100% success rate on me using the perk and a 0% success rate of the game implementing the perk as designed. I would tend to think that is a major problem. I know nothing will be done, but at least it is recorded so others do not think they are alone dealing with this frustration..

Next game was a blight and I successfully dh four times and only two of the times I went down.

This tells me there is something wrong with the parameters for the perk, that sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.

Since this has been a problem for years, I guess that is behaviors way of saying they cannot fix it. Perhaps they need to investigate other ways of fixing the problem. What if you halved the exhaustion recover rate for dh? You can't fix it to work correctly obviously, but you could show the players some love and at least make it easier to try again.

    What do you think?

Why should we buff the strongest exhaustion perk in the game especially in a time where the community is very divided about nerfing it or not? "I successfully deadharded 4 times and each time I went down" Yeah that's not successfully deadharding then. If the perk is not working why can the popular streamers pull it off consistently then? Sounds more like a you problem tbh.

  • Literally let them do it. If they buff the communication for soloQ so that you get similar ways to communicate like with SWF the devs might realize how strong survivors are if they are efficient on gens and that we need to buff the weaker killers at some point.

Bubba needs more cosmetics for sure, including all the original masks that were removed for no good reason.

Sadly they got removed because some "funny people" thought it would be a great idea to harass players that played black survivors with the claudette mask. I hope those people will get toxic matches every game against sweatlords because thats the only thing you deserve if you do stuff like this. So disgusting.

I don't think dh is op, but when dh has been prominent for so long they really should just gut to go away for a while. That's how I feel about nurse as well though.

This game is plagued by a stale meta that gets changes way too slowly. But the fact that they seemingly want to do some mini shakeups every midchapter from now on is great.

Regarding the Nurse: I like the canges (except Campbells addon, it's now way too op) but I still think she needs some more changes to make her balanced. Players like me didn't get affected by the changes in the slightest (though with me thats mainly the case because I played her barebone for a while and the only basekit change was the blink attacks being special attacks now and the sound cue when getting blinks back) so she is almost as strong as she used to be. Maybe it would be more fair if all aura reading gets blocked while she uses her power as well as making it so she can only attack if she presses m1 after blinking instead of being able to hold m1 while blinking and still attacking (like it used to be).

  • WDYM with the full timer`Like until the server died? According to BHVR the game is being forced to end 5 minutes after the EGC timer is up.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/362895/gen-speeds-are-obnoxious-on-both-sides

i made a post some time ago about it, camping 3 gens from the get go shouldnt be possible. the solution is making it impossible to get a 3 gen spown for free, sometimes is unreal how close gens are.

Currently the gen spawns are bugged giving sometimes even worse 3 gens but on many maps 3 gens are inevitable unless you place a lot of gens in deadzones. They need to adjust map size properly to avoid any possible 3 gen spawns.

  • If we remove all gen speed related perks we can see how strong default gen speed is or not and the devs could make changes based on that.

I got all Bubba,Hag, Clown, Legion perks from shrine. I know I would never play them.

That's fair. (I do love playing Bubba though. Such a fun killer) I just want to have every killer and want to play every killer atleast sometimes. Playing variety is important to improve in the game overall (Though I mainly play Bubba, Billy and Nurse).

  • Her teachables were nice before the huge overhaul. Only Devour is still viable IMO.

Shypirate had it correct. I left a great deal of my characters at 40 when the update happened. The perks stayed unlocked in the bloodweb but to actually have them automatically added to every other character I had to prestige them. I’m still going through the process.

I'm so glad I prioritised doing that before getting my Nurse to P100. That saved me a lot of nerves.

  • @Audiophile said:

Just lost for the 10 millionth time versus Blight. He ran all aura perks because… why not? He’s unbeatable in chase so all he needs to do is find survivors as quickly as possible. BHVR… you should be ashamed that you refuse to properly balance killers and make a huge % of your player base suffer this garbage non stop. Oh and failed to mention that a teammate quit immediately at game start. Almost as if they knew it was hopeless…. Imagine that. But man… BHVR can’t figure out how to resolve this DC issue….

No killer is unbeatable if no one is quitting straight away especially not a Blight that runs aura reading. Blame your teammate not the killer.

  • I would love to see Dead Hard gettig another change not because the perk is insanely problematic but because it's being overused - again. I want to see more variety but I see like 3 dead hards every match. It's getting really boring.

  • @PyramidHACK said:

Also Boil Over is still super underwhelming, even with the recent buff. Since successful skill checks no longer give any extra wiggle progress, you're less likely to be able to escape before the killer finds a hook, UNLESS you're definitely running Boil Over and even bring that Ashley Williams perk. As it is right now, wiggling is not as viable as it was before

I can only imagine those with 0 reflexes or skill will find even more trouble if they miss several skill checks towards the end, when the bar gets really small.

On certain tiles boil over is still super annoying and if a SWF have the right perks they can ensure that they wiggle of a lot of the time forcing the killer to slug them.

The fact that hitting the great skillchecks gueranteed that you wiggle of faster was a bad idea. At best you can get off 1 second faster that makes an incredible difference. If the killer downs someone you are not meant to get off that easily. You lost the chase now your team needs to think of something to save you from getting hooked before that you could just wiggle yourself of sometimes. The great skillchecks were not that hard to hit to begin with. And with the new wiggle mechanic it's even easier because they made the skillchecks even bigger.

  • Yes while breaking a pallet you seem to have flashlight protection kinda like when you pick up a survivor with wesker's power they can't blind you. Then there is that mangled but and Huntress Lullaby is still active if you cleanse it. This midchapter broke a lot of new things again. At this point I'm just impressed on how consistently they are creating new bugs.

  • I got Nurse to P100 and I am planning to get Billy, Bubba and Adam there as well.

  • If your this bold maybe you deserve to get grabbed of that envelope. You are not entitled to get it just because you were there earlier than the killer. Remember the killer wants BP as well

Ioh god I hate no way out. So niche but amazingly frustrating when you get caught it. 🤣

IMO there need to be more perks like this. It's a strong perk but also rewards fair play. Before NWO I tried Grim Embrace as well but it doesn't give me nearly as much value which is sad because the idea behind it is great. They should bring back the BBQ stacks and I want a 4th perk that gives you stacks by hooking multiple survivors.

  • @DBD78 said:

Nice! You should have a nice collection with brown Nurse addons now I will be super impressed if you can get rid of all 😀

This is how most players play now? Me I'm doing the getting all characters to 10, then all to 20 etc not leaving one behind on the way..all will be 99 some day will not cheat like this 😀 The problem with gettting every character to 100 is the release of new characters 😭😄 Let's see if anyone will make it.

Yeah despite the fact that we are having a BP problem where it takes too long to spend them it still is crazy that unless you are putting a lot of time and effort into prestiging every single character you might have problems to get it done since they keep pumping out new characters and getting only one to P100 takes a crazy amount of time. So we probably need more BP at some point.

Also yeah I have well over 2k of every brown addon each and I have plenty of all other addons annd offerings as well. I don't need to spend BP on her for a very long time (I also have over 400 Survivor Puddings and 60 BPS so I can use her to farm BP as well)

    GG 🤗

The good thing about Prestige is that at least it's only a BP thing, so you don't have to tryhard like some killers do on the 12th of each month because they absolutely want to go to Iridescent I; it allows you to vary the builds, like the barebone ☺️

Playing her barebone for this long was an interesting experience for sure but sometimes stressful ass well. Can't recommend doing it for so long. 1 month is more than enough to improve your game sense with her. I also reached Iri 1 fairly quick so I didnt really need to tryhard for that.

Right now I run BBQ, No Way Out, Pain Res and Agitation. Way more fun than the gen kicking build.

Congrats. I hope I never come against you as nurse 🤣 you've put a lot of work into her and it would be an extremely short game.

As long as survivors don't give up it often goes even down to one gen. I'm not very interessted in an overly sweaty playstyle and I usually go for prediction blinks rather than playing safe. Though you need to watch out for my No Way Out if you manage to get to endgame.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Congrats! I'm hoping to get there once bloodweb improvements come in. Can't bring myself to click that many nodes for now. She's sitting at p15

Yeah spending BP is really boring. I can't believe it that I'm actually saying it but we have too many BP to spend and it takes way too long to spend them. I usually waited until I was about to hit 2 mil BP and then prestiged 1 time and I did this like 97 times (I was P3 when I started the P100 grind).

  • @GannTM said:

    Congrats!

    Thank you!

  • @Gamall said:

Don't know what is going on but this is happening more frequently in recent times, especially on the new reworked maps (rpd and Haddonfield too).

Making realms smaller is leading to a situation when avoiding a 3gen is pretty tough, particularly if the killer decide to not move from there

On the other hand you have very large maps with an extremely low pallet density. I think a balance between size and pallet density is important in order to give lower tier killers a chance while giving survivors enough ressources and still avoiding 3 gens to be too tight

im not confusing nothing, ask the community not here, ask anybody that is not a comp player (also playing with their comp players against said nurse) just in solo q see what people say in chat, people hate the nurse this is basic knowdlege, like extremely basic knowdlege. the thing is u can not take or understand the exageration with the 99% may be 99% may be 80% who knows, but most at the very least, and always ask do u like to face GOOD nurses?. because u must never forget that, bad nurses are one thing good ones other.

Most people I've been talking to enjoy playing against her a lot and yes I enjoy facing even a good Nurse. You have no idea just like me how many people like or dislike playing against her all you do is to think you know the answer. There is no common sense knowledge about the whole community despising her so stop saying stuff like that.

  • @Tsulan said:

I firmly believe that if more players would take some time to learn how to play against her, then no one would complain about her.

But the amount of players that just give up is simply to high. Which is a shame.

My words exactly. People don't want to improve against the Nurse since she requires her own kind of counterplay so they rather give up and complain about her afterwards. People who practise a lot against good Nurse players are terrifying to go against. I know some strong Nurse mains and if they have time I often do 1v1s against them and I'm getting better and better against her.

There has never been any reason to try to loop her. (And maybe that's why some survivors struggle so much against Nurse)

The reason why so many struggle against the Nurse is because they don't want to learn how to play against her. The DC button or 4% seem to be more interesting to them. If people refuse to improve then it's not surprising that they die against her after 10 seconds.

running around objects and predicting movement for the mindgame besides countering an actual COUNTERABLE power due comprehending how it works is 1000000000000000000000000000000000 times funnier than a coin toss game that usually nurse wins anyway so its like a rigged coin. Nurse is unfun to play against for 99% of the community.

Totally not a biased take. 99% of the community sure buddy... Do you have actual statistics of how many people don't enjoy facing the nurse or are you just being ridiculous because YOU don't enjoy facing her? You are confusing your own opinion with the opinions of the community as if you are their voice. In reality people are being pretty split about her based on what I saw. But I guess because you don't enjoy facing her, nobody does.

  • @StarLost said:

    Anyone else seeing this?

Basically since Monday evening it's never budged from 100%. Before, it was survivor 100% for a few weeks, then it was survivor in the morning and killer at night, now it's all killer all the time.

Did those status icons make a bigger difference than I anticipated?

Killer queues are way shorter as well. But the incentives are not at 100% all time. Sometimes survivors have them as well.

  • @HungrySnek said:

Okay the special attack change is a really good start. Now the exposed perks don't work.

Well that is where the praise stops.

What the hell is the Team Smoking?!?!

Since months the community shows in different ways how broken this killer is and instead of reworking her so she doesn't ignore the game rules anymore she get's one Nerf and multiple buffs?!?!

Her third blink addon which was actually balanced with the mechanic that you can't teleport trough walls anymore is now just "You have to wait a tiny bit longer for your power to recharge"

Her addon that removes one blink and makes her faster got also buffed and makes her now as fast as huntress.

She has a addon now that increases her swing lunch. Yeah sure, remove the one thing that people actually had to train the muscle memory with her, what can go wrong right?!?!?!

And don't get ne started with the addon that gives her a second full blink...who ever had this idea in the first place should get fired

I fell like you are living behind the rock. Torn Bookmark allowed you to blink through walls a while ago. They just reduced the increased recharge time. I still don't think that we will face a lot of Nurses with this addon. For me and many other Nurse players the downsides are simply not worth it.

The one Blink Nurse is still the one blink Nurse. Nurse is better of with both of her blinks.

The increased lunge addon is a good addon for beginners. Just like the recharge addons used to be before they got removed. Makes her less punishing and good Nurse players won't use this addon because they already have a different muscle memory for her lunges. Recharge also screwed with muscle memory and yet they was my recommended addons for beginners so why not?

With Campbells Last Breath I actually agree. It was fine before so no idea why they changed it that way.

The Nurse changes were a nerf. Also addons are not a factor in buffing/nerfing a killer. It's their base power. The addons are an issue in itself. That's like saying "Myers op he can kill survivors instantly". No that's an addon.

  • Sadly it's not. I mean thate is even an animation for hitting a survivor on the hook and it would be kinds weird if this is a bannable offense. It sucks but at the end of the day they just want a reaction from you. Don't give them what they want.

  • @Tsulan said:

    I also love them.

Sometimes i even get a message in the endgame chat about the chase. I think some nurse players are just happy that people don´t instantly dc or give up. But try to run them instead.

Many Nurse players also show a lot of respect if you can run them well. I've almost never seen that from a Blight player. I once had a match where one instantly DC'd and I run the Nurse for 3 gens until she gave up. She still won because the other two went down fast but she seemed so impressed by my performance that she gave me hatch.

Both work,,safe nurses will blink to last spot they lost LOS and take things from there and some will try predicting,,,it's honestly a 2 way thing

The thing that divides average Nurse players from the exceptional is that average are only blinking safe while the exceptional will go for predictions and if they have a ton of experience their predictions are usually accurate.

I see you havent discovered what mother-daughter and yakuyoke amulet or cherry blossom does on spirit.

I am very much convinced furin is actually one of her fairer addons. (Survivor main playing spirit about 3% of all games)

I did. And they are fundamentaly broken. But atleast they don't remove the directional sound cue so if you are at a tile you can still mindgame and trying to predict what she is about to do. With Furin? Absolutely not!

  • @not_requested49 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/362430/delete-furin-please

Nobody tell him about sadako's VCR addon or doctor's calm addons

Or God forbid Freddy's class photo addon

Those two killers are not nearly as strong as the Spirit. She moves at an insane speed while using her power so her directional phasing is your main counter midchase against her. If you don't know where she is coming from where is the counterplay?

  • Horrible, horrible suggestions. Sure buddy your solutions absolutely won't get abused like every other andi tunnel/camp mechanic they wanted to implement. "When we are (4) with my friends" is already telling. So you are already admitting that you are a 4 man SWF. Probably on comms as well. You guys have more than enough communication to punish a killer for tunneling. You have perks like Off the Record, Decisive Strike and Reassurance to punish those playstyles. Also: "2.2 - add a new report issue about 'Tunelling' for killers (AND PLEASE INSPECT THOSE REPORTS)" like what? The devs made it clear multiple times that tunneling is not against the rune and not a bannable offense. People need to inform themselves before making ridiculous posts.

  • I have about 1800h in the game and it's by far my most played game. I think my seconds most played game is osu! with about 800h and Rocket League and Paladins with about 600h.

Thanks, as i am not a nurse player feels good to hear that.

    Thanks for the feedback

    You're welcome :)

  • I like them but I still cannot understand Legion getting a HUNK skin

  • It's a trash perk that only works by synergizing it with sabo or wiggle off builds but you know what? If they have to sacrifice so many gen and second chance perks for that I'm fine with that.

  • @BlueHorkew said:

Yes, i know she just got changes. No i am not putting a rework that is not coming but some small tweaks that could improve the counterplay to her for the survivors.

    • After blinking add a small delay before she can attack (something small between 0.25-0.5s, not sure how much exactly), basically make so Nurse can't attack on the first frame after blinking. This will help survivors react to nurse blink and actually do something be dropping a pallet that right now is kinda impossible or alter their movement and being unpredictable;
    • Stunning a nurse should remove all blink charges and stop the recharge during the stun. She is to strong against DS and can ignore pallets, so she should get a bigger penalty for getting hit by one
    • Give an audio queue for nurse using her power within 42m of survivors, with her new add-on that makes 40m instant blinks a thing, giving survivor information that they could be sniped would be helpful

For the last one i was thinking about removing auras while using her power, but since she just got a bunch of perk synergy gone i hope that a queue for those snipes could be introduced. Or you know just use distortion, that could work.

Suggestions are always important especially after a killer got some changes. I am a Nurse main so I know exactly how to play her and I have a bunch of suggestions as well. That being said you actually got some fine suggestions:

    • Before they reworked her code last year it was not possible to hold M1 so she couldn't attack in the first frame. Before that you actually had to time it very well to achiveve a similar effect. A solution would be to make it like is used to be: You need to time it well otherwise you can't attack early after blinking.
    • The stun penalty is a fair idea but since they removed recharge anyways I don't see a reason not to let her recharge her bliks while being stunned. It's essentially hard punishing newer players.
    • The audio cue would make her undetectable addon worthless so I don't think that's a great idea.
    • The aura blocking while using her power is something I suggested for a while since there is no counterplay to that.

  • I don't know what you mean. I mean CLEARLY it is the building in Mother's Dwelling. I mean look at the name. CLEARLY it says "Mother's Dwelling Portal". I always trust names.

  • Tunneling - or tunnel vision - is a playstyle where your goal is to focus on a single survivor with the goal of killing them as fast as possible because a 3v1 is far easier to deal with than a 4v1. This doesn't have to happen only at the start of the match: If a killer is seeing that survivors are getting gens done quick they sometimes look for a survivor they can kill quick and their eyes are only on their target (tunnel vision) and ignores the other survivors. I see a lot of survivors complaining about it but in most cases it wasn't even tunneling. Sometimes the survivors run in the killer and let's be honest: Why shouldn't a killer take the free hook or even a free kill?

"When the last gen pops NOED activates."

This is the ONE change I want most for NOED. Then it's fair.

The fact that NOED (and Rancor; and Adrenaline) can activate with 5 gens still remaining (killer closes hatch) is ridiculous

That one was actually an oversight. I actually meant when endgame triggers but honestly? That's actually a good idea. Why should it activate when not all gens have been completed. All that does is giving the player less chances to escape so why even let it be that way?

Lunar New Year event is the only one I really enjoy. It's the one event I look forward to because it's so well done. I think it's the best for how BP is handled. You can see your envelope at the start and once you claim it everyone else can see it - there's no wasting time searching for the event stuff and you can continue playing the game normal. You don't have to be on a gen to earn event BP so there's no missing out on event BP as long as you're in the match. There's no frustration because you were chased off 90% gen and someone finished it while you're mid chase so you missed out on BP. Survivors don't feel like they need to gen rush to avoid that situation so games don't feel as sweaty as other events. One side doesn't have some advantage over the other when it comes to participating in the event. My only complaint is lack of offerings/event items in the bloodwebs - it's the one thing they need to improve.

If they had other events that matched Lunar New Year I'd be all for it but the other events I get tired of how sweaty they feel pretty quick so I would not want more of those.

Yeah the Lunar New Year event is really nice. A small side "objective" that gives a ton of BP and does net waste too much times and they haven't messed up the hitboxes of the hooks (unlike the Christmas ones) so no tantruming on nothing.

Absolutely disagree. At least the killer has to do stuff to get value out of those perks. I'm so thankful I don't have to check for ruin, then sigh and go off and find it before I get to actually do anything.

YOu mean doing something like camping 3-gens and kicking them over and over again. Yeah I much rather prefer to get incapacitated 4 times per match instead of searching for a totem.

You zone and double at same time. If you are just zoning, its a wasted potential.

Sometimes doubles are not possible or a huge risk (they might outrun the guard and stun you with a pallet or vault a window and you get no hit because you are trying to let the guards hit them first). I don't see many chances to double in most situations.

  • @C3Tooth said:

They over nerf to force players use something else, just like DS & Ironwill.

It's an understandable decision. Meta shakeups are important. But overnerfing like this is not that great for the overall game health. Especially because the new meta feels more obnoxious atleast for me.
