  • I guess they looked at him and thought: "Man, Billy existed for a long time now. Let's give him some changes just to give him some changes." And then they proceeded to give changes no one really understood (rightfully so). I started playing Billy last year (because that was the year I actively started playing this game) and I really enjoy him. Curving is fun (Doom Engravings my beloved) and feels hella rewarding when pulling it off successfully and his power feels nice overall but man I wish I could experience old Billy first hand ngl.

Survivors should be able to coordinate as a team, that's the most efficient way to play. Prior to this update though, solo queue rarely enabled any sort of efficient coordination. It never really felt like a 4v1 team game, most of the time it was more like 1v1. So it was a needed change, at the very least it makes team mates accountable to each other. There are 3 roles in this game - solo, swf, and killer. "Survivor sided" is not my experience at all. Swf-sided? yes. There's a reason so many requests come through here from killers wanting the option to be able to block going against swfs. Solos undoubtedly make up the majority of the killrates.

I'll also add that this gen kicking meta really only took off a couple months ago. The game certainly didnt favour me prior to its popularity, and i never use gen perks or bring toolboxes. This isn't some long term meta that has been carrying killers for a long time, so I'm honestly not sure I agree that it's the sole reason killers are doing well killrate wise. The only way I can see the gen kicking meta even being addressed is if BHVRs stats show the current 60% killrates have increased along with the meta usage. If there's a correlation then I have no doubt they'll address it, much like if killrates fall under 60% with the introduction of the survivor icons they'll make necessary changes.

Well the gen kicking meta certainly is the current reason why killers are so oppressive right now. Without them they either need to play like absolute sweatlords or they will get alteast 2-3 outed in most matches even if they are skilled players. My point is that whenever I play killer almost every match feels like the survivors players coordinated after the mid chapter. Before that I could usually tell the difference between soloQ and SWF matches (though there were exceptions ofc). The gen speed feels like it has massively ramped up which has to do with survivors now knowing when they have to go for saves or which survivor is in chase etc. SoloQ is still not strong and I still win matches. But there are signs that soloQ might not be as weak anymore as it used to be. And if BHVR keeps implementing more tools to communicate to bring soloQ more on par with a SWF then it will become clear that killers are being carried by their gen kicking perks. Without them survivors are undoubtedly stronger (I see this by myself: playing as Billy, chases are short and I find survivors quick due to BBQ and they still power through gens like crazy). The good thing about Ruin and Pop was that they rewarded skillful play. If you good at applying map pressure Ruin helped you to slow down gens by a lot. Pop rewarded you for going for as many hooks as possible. Both got gutted and you see them in almost no matches since the alternatives are much better. We need strong gen perks that incentivize fair and skillful gameplay and not the obnoxious gen kicking perks that only incentivize camping 3-gens

Really thanks for this insane nerf guys. You did a pretty good job. You nerfed the most broken killer that she can't use exposed perks anymore. Now she is reeeeeeaaaaallllyyyy balanced :) Let's just forget the part that she still ignores the game mechanics and that someone who plays her for longer then 30 minutes can still win most games undeserved and that she got New broken addons now :D

Dude. They even announced that they didn't want to change her entirely but tackle the main issue (exposed) and some of her problematic addons. Jenners with Torn Bookmark is not even that good anymore since they changed the way how Jenners works. The only problematic addon combination they created is Jenners Last Breath with Campbells Last Breath but it's not nearly as oppressive as the range addons used to be. Her power lost a good amount of perk synergizes and before you come with the stacked gen perks argument, that is a problem by itself and not specifically a problem Nurse created. And Nurse existed for a long time. Her mechanics are a part of the game. Changing is now is kinda pointless. Because if the gut her people will just complain about Blight being too oppressive. And after him it's going to be Spirit. Then Artist. There are a lot of meaningful changes outside of balancing Nurse directly that would make it more fair to face her.

What would maybe another meaningful change is to block all aura reading while she is charging her power.

Nah. No to old meta stuff coming back. Game's better without it.

THe game is better off with the old gen perks instead of CoB Eruption which is plagueing the game rn

  • If you play always for double hits you are essentially throwing. Your goal with the knight is to zone them with your guard and get a hit on them. Played knight two times today on Ormond for both tome challenges and the tactic worked splendid.

  • Thana was one of the most annoying perks in the game and with a certain build on a killer like Plague or Legion just oppressive. Thank god that perk is dead.

  • @Bot_Salvo88 said:

Why do people facecamp with him? He's so much more fun and satisfying to play normally.

I just had a very rough game vs very good survivors (2 of them had instaheals and 1 of them had a brand new part, last one brought autoheaven offering) and I got 7 hooks with no kills as the last gen pops.

One survivor got hooked and the doors were already 99'd. I could've easily facecamped the last person but I decided to trick them and let them get the unhook by losing line of sight from them.

I got 3 kills out of that since I came from a direction they didn't expect and with my chainsaw I downed 3 people. The last one escaped, it was much more enjoyable than facecamping.

Because people can't play him and instead of getting fundamentals and trying to learn him they go the lazy route.

  • Well the 3 gen meta is a problem for sure. But that needs to be fixed anyways. For anthing other than the 3 gens kicking a gen feels like a waste of time. They need tof ix the 3 gen problem and buff the base gen kicking (not the perks they need a nerf as well)

I wish they wouldn't have re-worked RPD to reduce the size. I liked the way the map was before the change.

It was too large for some killers. I liked the older version as well though. East Wing is too weak for survivors and the West Wing too strong

  • It's funny how Billy lost his best addons but killers like Blight are allowed to have broken addons on top of an already strong power.

-Speed addons are way too oppressive and have basically no counter.

-Compound 21 allows him to have legit wallhacks. Imagine Nurse with such an addon

-Adrenaline Vial is honestly one of his most problematic. 2 more rushes, 10% faster rushes on top of faster recharge. Just a big #########.

-Alchemist Ring is his strongest and I cannot believe how that addon is even allowed. Against a good Blight with Alchemist Ring there is no chase. You are dead in seconds.

-And ofc both Iri addons. Iri Tag is mainly problematic because of it's synergy with the other addons and C33 is one of the unhealthiest addons ever. Insta pallet breaks, insta recovery and survivors are hindered if they are nearby. Just a big ######### BHVR

Rekindled Totems exist through Hex: Pentimento, BHVR can always make it a Rekindled Totem if no other Hex Totem locations are available, forcing it to take the location of the Hex/Dull Totem that was last cleansed by a Survivor.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3326486#Comment_3326486

I actually kind of like that, it fits the name a lot more since it literally tries to prevent the actual escaping to begin with. However if Survivors do not get Aura Reading on the Exit Gates then the Blindness debuff should be removed, Blindness feels a bit overkill since it shafts team Aura Reading for SoloQ.

Thats what I kinda meant that my idea might be too strong. SoloQ is obviouls a big factor in balancing perks

The (boring) alternative would be to block the exit gates (like NWO) as long as the totem is active but that would be too boring. I want more variety for perks like this

  • @Yankus said:

Yeah I've played it 5 times already. Imo it is still survivor sided but not as bad since the back is gone.

Yes the back was way too strong. Good that it's much weaker now (sometimes there is a weak loop but that's it) but IMO the new version created new issues for certain killers like Billy.

  • @Blueberry said:

I do feel like it’s improvement. Just went from extremely survivor sided to very survivor sided. It’s a step in the right direction, just not far enough.

Maybe it depends on which killer you are playing. I haven't played every killer yet but for Bubba and Billy it certainly doesn't. It actually feels worse with Billy now because his selling point (linear map traversal) is now kinda gone atleast when it comes to traversing to the sided which is much more iimportant now that they increased the size of the sides.

  • @Iron_Cutlass said:

Okay, before someone says "another person who got stomped by NOED", no, I didnt, I just feel like after it's rework, it did nothing to address the core issue with this perk.

For starters, I just think NOED really needs to be changed again, even partly reverted. Im 100% fine with the Aura Reading on the Hex Totem being removed, but, make it so the Hex Totem moves locations if a Survivor is hooked within proximity of the Hex Totem.

I think it is dumb to sit here and have a perk that can 100% guarantee a Kill by literally just getting lucky. And if you are actively being chased when the generators are completed, it's not like you can actively see the Aura of NOED and avoid where the Hex Totem is because you literally cannot see its Aura.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/MOULVYA3B5M9/screenshot-28310-29.png

Killer is circled since you can barely see them, they are using the Rift outfit that came out so it can make him difficult to see with all the mute tans and browns. I cant even blame the Killer or anything for doing this, they are making the smartest possible decision, it's just upsetting that there is literally nothing we can do in this instance.

The current version of NOED made it a less attractive for killers. Nowadays I barely even see that perk and if they have it it gets cleansed in no time. That totem spawn was unfortunate but you know: High risk high reward. Sometimes the totem gets instantly spotted and cleansed sometimes the killer hooks the survivor where the NOED totem is.

I would love to see a change though. I have an idea that is more fitting to it's name IMO:

    -Remove the expose status effect

-Increase haste to 7% (hope counter)

-When the last gen pops NOED activates. Survivors don't get the aura of the exit gates shown. The exit gates open 20% slower. All survivors suffer from the blindness and oblivios status effect.

-All effects are gone if NOED gets cleansed or no totems are available

This might sound too strong but it would be much more fitting. It would create pressure and would give the survivors a feeling of hopelessness. And the feeling that no one can escapes death.

  • It shouldn't because it's meant for 4k's but I think it's bugged rn. I've gotten merciless killer multiple times with only a 2k which doesn't make much sense

  • @BenSanderson55 said:

If it wasnt bad enough before with 3 potentially gen spawns in lobby, 2 spawn in most cases, now theres another which is just meters apart (bottom of stairs by green crates and one nearest gate). Not to mention the interrogation room can have one, 2 can spawn in that room with hole in wall next to lobby another in that hall just outside, one upstairs by puzzle & 3 lockers (good for teleporting/blink killers). Anyway just a bit ridiculous IMO.

On a side note HUD is great, now need to see others perks and Kindred basekit.

Since the map shrunk in size a potential 3 gen is almost inevitable. So the goal as survivor on RPD should be to identify the 3-gen and tackle it ASAP.

  • Hopefully these changes will incentivize a more engaging playstyle. Obviously many Knights are still going to play the boring Camping/3-gen playstyle but maybe some will adapt.

  • @Audiophile said:

Implement basekit Unbreakable FFS. There are FAR too many killers that use this unsportsmanlike tactic. It’s just GD rude to leave someone on the ground where they can’t do jack.

Sometimes it's simply not possible to hook (you are under a pallet and survivors are nearby, sabo plays, no hooks available, people are bodyblocking, flashlight campers or the killer knows you have power struggle). In those cases it's perfectly justified to slug survivors on the ground. There is a huge difference between killers that slug because they are tryhards/toxic or when they simply know that there is no point in picking you up.

After over 300hrs in this game playing a mix of killer and survivor I’m really on the edge of letting this game go.

now don’t get me wrong, a coordinated swf is very powerful but I mostly play solo queue like many others.

the problem is that in solo queue you have no idea what other people are doing, their is no coordination at all. Unless one of the survivors is amazing at looping or the killer is a newbie. You will die 10/10 matches.

playing as a killer for the last couple months I’ve never had a game where I didn’t get less than 3 kills. It’s just so easy to win. I enjoy survivor more because it’s much more challenging, albeit too much.

i think what this game lacked from the beginning was a way to communicate with other survivors. Having a voice chat even if it is just proximity chat would have been critical to this game being able to bring new players in for the long term.

swf can communicate and killers can still succeed? Why punish solo players?

anyway, just needed to voice my opinion. Would love to hear others thoughts.

    thanks.

Survivors are the power role in the game. Unless you are playing extremely sweaty and with stacked gen kicking perks (especially eruption) survivors that know what they are doing will most likely win. If they are gen jockeys it literally doesn't matter how short chases are because the survivors can just power through the gens. The exception being here the Nurse ofc but she is the main excuse why this game is pay2win (BHVR is just going to say: It's not p2w the strongest killer is available for free). and god forbid if survivors are getting a map like Badham and decide to play the long game by hiding whenever the killer comes close. Then you either waste time searching the building for a survivor or you move on to the next gen in hopes to find someone. If you don't have aura reading perks you are going to lose.

B-but the killrate. That's only because of eruption and killers camping 3-gens. If they don't use that tactic there is nearly no way you can win against strong survivors that are being efficient on gens unless they play Blight or Nurse. A killer like Leatherface stands almost no chance in todays meta.

So, with the new release of cosmetics coming up, it needs to be said how I’m disappointed in Behaviors treatment towards their people of color cast. Every update, white characters are put on a pedestal and are given the most exciting fits of the best fits in general.

If it’s not the usual white cast of characters: Dwight, Kate, Mikeala, David, Nea, Felix, and now Vittorio, then it’s their usual token lighter skin Asian Feng Min who gets a thousand fits. Whereas, awesome characters like Elodie, Haddie, Zarina, Adam, Jake, and Claudette continue to get neglected with either NO cosmetics or just BAD cosmetics. Behaviour claims to push for diversity, but it feels like they’re just saying it while lazily putting in the effort to really represent these characters of darker complexion.

People say it’s based on who’s popular, but people are going to play characters with frequent cosmetics and good treatment in the game. It really sucks and hopefully BHVR realizes other characters that aren’t WHITE exists as well and needs proper representation. Like Haddie came before Vittorio, but he already has a tome and they’ve already carried on the blatant “sex sells” methods to push him; a basic white guy just like they did with Felix. And Felix is paired with Elodie, yet she gets NOTHING.

Going back to my last point, all of the white female characters get frequent cute fits (the token light skin Feng Min too), and the darker skin girls get one good fit with pretty much the rest being bad or non-exsistent. As for white males, don’t get me started. They are soooooo favored. We barely have people of color male characters, and they are super neglected. Do better BHVR :/

heres a good post to read as well:

    https://twitter.com/zadtwt/status/1617993462535815168?s=21&t=idz5_Zzay3EPTaQbR7hchA

Claudette has a lot of skins. Also wether or not certain cosmetics look good or not is based on opinions not facts. Adam has a lot of cool skins (they don't fit his image of a teacher though) as well as Elodie. I agree on people of color not getting a lot of cosmetics though (except Claudette). They should give them a bigger spotlight.

  • Expect to wait for 30 minutes because most killers would block swf in matchmaking

  • @Xernoton said:

Maps influence the match strongly no argument there. But saying you simply lose because it's a bad map is a bit over the top. Sure, some killers have a big disadvantage when going to the wrong maps like Trapper on Eyrie, Billy on Lery's (I swear I lose a part of my soul every time that happens) and Myers on pretty much every Coldwind map but it doesn't mean that you can't win. It means you'll have a much harder time and might even be forced play in 'unpleasent' ways to make up for it.

Maps should be much fairer, agreed, but they don't decide the outcome of a match by themselves.

They can be a deciding factor though. Eve if you have a chance to win every game doesn't mean you will if you try hard enough. Sometimes maps just allow survivors to clutch it out even if it was a close match. If you have a good rng and all players are good that can lead to a loss even the killer was good himself. Sure you can try to stack gen perks and hold a 3 gen but certain survivors deveoped strategys against that.

    Poor Huntress mains.

Not a single fun new cosmetics in sight to celebrate her year.

Meanwhile we get a prime Feng outfit an event Feng outfit and if the leaks are true a Feng rift skin plus the deep rift version. So 4 rift skins. Just shows you which chrarcter really makes the money for them. The problem with killers is that you don't see their skins ingame except their weapons so BHVR gets kinda lazy when it comes to them

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/361519/after-3-months-of-playing-her-barebone-i-will-play-nurse-with-perks-again

It might not be for everyone, but I thought it would have been helpful had I been forced to play barebone when I started playing killer, at least for the first few levels. I really screwed myself early on by maining doc. Granted, that wasn't entirely due to perks, but his tracking ability left me having no idea how to track without whispers/spies/BBQ when I played almost any other killer. Reducing the information one has access to is the quickest way to acquire information, because there's no compensation, anywhere. Nurse is the hardest to do this with, though, as there are so many cooldowns and such harsh consequences for making mistakes. Nurse can make DBD feel like an entirely different game at first.

Well that's because she is being played entirely different than other killers. Nurse is not a killer that you loop with since she is slower than survivors. This is why she relies on her power so much. And because she has to be played by that she is going to be the hardest to catch on. I actually started playing her barebone when I had about 1100h. Now I have almost 1800h so I already had learned the core fundamentals with her. But playing her barebone helped me to improve a lot with her.

  • Well if the most matches you have is against Blights and Nurses maybe thats because a huge portion of the killer players play those two killers. Now imagine if everyone can say that they don't play against those two killers. Matchmaking would be a nightmare. Now both Blight and Nurse as well as most survivor players would have a terribly long queue because we all know that survivors will pick killers like Hillbilly, Demogorgon and Sadako because they are fun to go against or weak. Well guess what there are not that many hillbilly/Demogorgon/Sadako players to fill up all those queues thus this system would not work. I would get very quick queues when I play Billy but would have to wait like 15 minutes to find a match as Nurse.

  • @yauniqua said:

i dont understand... are KiLLaHz always running into the BEST looper for the first chase?

What has this to do with my post? I said even if my chases are short survivors push through gens very fast. The main problem with playing Nurse barebone was that you have to find the next survivor by yourself. Especially depending on the map this can be costly and if they play in a map where they can hide well finding a survivor can be pretty hard allowing them to stay on gens longer. Sometimes you blink to the wrong gen on a huge map and you wasted like 30 seconds. What has this to do with finding the best looper first?

Because I feel like I didn't even tried to understand your comment. When I read it first I thought you would use the fact that you can stealth on Badham as well as some sort of counterargument to my comment on why Lery's is actually decent for certain killers (especially stealth killers) unlike Badham. Because while you ccan stealth on Badham as well the map is just fundamentally worse for killers because of how the map is built.

It's true that Grim Embrace is a perk that you wouldn't necessarily think of, to slow down the progress of the generators, but I wonder if Deadlock wouldn't compete with it, somewhere.

Deadlock is a perk that does everything for you while Grim Embrace feels rewarding because you have to hook every survivors once before its activation. Deadlock just feels like the lazy version of it that is more efficient especially because it can work as an info perk as well.

Mmh, yes. Badham isn't bad for everyone. A stealth killer can do a lot of damage there (among others).

I agree with the stealth part. You can do sone stealth approaches but my god. The structures on this map are just way too good and while Lery has many strong pallets as well most pallets are not really safe. The houses are also a big time wasters you check the gens, oh wait there is no progress and you wasted like 30 seconds. Lery's is not that incredibly bad. (Though I want to DC whenever I play Bubba or Billy)

  • @Little_Kitten said:

Indeed, I don't know if I prefer Lery or Badham ... I would say that on Lery, even a survivor who is not necessarily very gifted only has to run around for it to drive me crazy 🤣

But Badham ... these stairs with these basements ... MY GOD, THOSE BASEMENTS...

No worries, go ahead, fix your damn generator downstairs, please 😱😝

Otherwise, I'm currently in [No addons, No perk, except Lightborn] mod and I must admit it's relaxing 😊

Enjoying the game is indeed nice. I feel more relaxed now after equipping BBQ again. Grim Embrace is also pretty fun and actually effective because the mid game is often the deciding factor of the games outcome. Just make sure that your obsession is not your 4th stack and you see their aura regardless of the distance which enables for a quick chase.

  • That's fine though. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/361755/when-can-we-finally-get-rid-of-map-offerings

Forget strong loops. The GoJ main structure can spawn as a literal infinite if you run the windows right.

But the answer isn't to remove map offerings. It's to fix the sodding maps.

Well as long as these maps stay being broken people wil stick to their map offerings like it's a candy. Because those maps are usually fun for ONE side while completely unfair for the other.

  • Whenever I play survivor it's no way out (though it's one of my fav perks as killer). It is a very fair perk as you get more value by hooking different survivors but got I hate it being forced to wait out the timer knowing full well that the killer can potentially do a comeback despite us finishing all gens.

As killer it's saboteur (though mostly saboboxes). It's well deserved if they manages to deny me the hook by saboing it but I hate it when scourge hooks are being denied and I have to either slug the survivor or take a normal hook.

  • @Marik1987 said:

I am done with this. I dont care anymore. If u play at the daytime (right now), you have literally no chance of winning against these squads I get. They do 5 gens in under 5mins while Teabagging mid-chase and Bodyblocking. Always 2 guys at the gens, tunneling them asap, ignoring everything else. Prove Thyself, Commodious Toolbox, Boon Circle of Healing and the most broken sht I have even seen... new Deadhard.

Its time to move on to Nurse every fckin game, cant wait for this Midchapter and her 7-Blinks.

If I want to play something outside of Nurse, I should wait for the evening, when all the noobs come online.

Deadhard BROKEN as fck, 3rd health-state for everyone. In these lobbies, they almost never miss the timing. Adrenaline at the end = Free Escape, because the others have already 99% the gate till this chased survivor is there. Dont forget the Free Escape off hook with 10sec Basekit-BT and Bodyblocks, Reassurance to coordinate perfectly. Its absolutely impossible for killers to do sht then.

I can really understand why EVERYONE is tunneling hardcore and says, without Tunneling its absolutely impossible to win. I just need to watch "Comp.DBD" to see this one playstyle in every single game to get at least a 2K.

Now, with Basekit Unbreakable incoming, this will become absolute garbage. One "Killer-Patch 6.1.0", while survivors gets a buffed Deadhard, a 10sec Basekit-BT, still sick gen-speeds with their OP-Toolboxes, hell no. This game - for killers - has become way more worse than it was before.

"But Marik, the killrates have increased, so killers needs nerfs, not buffs". Yes, they increased because Noobs cannot handle Eruption etc., because they dont know when to "let the gen go". In my lobbies, you have that little things called Voice-Call: "Im going down, let go". Boom!

Tunneling, Camping, Tunneling, Camping, NOED. Thats it nowadays. You did a splendid job BHVR, but unfortunately, BOTH Sides are pissed now. But hey, soon even Solo-Survivors, which granted killers better stats, will become more efficient with your Icon-System. While all that happens, most of the killers are totally useless against these squads I encounter. I have 2.200 hours in this game, why the hell do I get guys with 9.000 hours, 6.000 hours, playing like Comp.-Teams, tunneling Gens asap.

Cant wait for that Basekit Unbreabakle. "But think about the new players and the casuels u would like to say?"

I dont go against these survivors, so why should I care?

Hex-Builds are garbage, because the totems are in front of a roof, so everybody can see them. Oh dont forget that awesome Totem in Shack everyone literally spawns at it.

You wonder why killers bring 3 Gen-Regression-Perks every single match. I will lift the secret: "BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO!" We dont have anything left besides Pain Resonance and the Call of Brine/Eruption-Combo. Nothing. Playing without Gen-Regression? Sure, I can do that, but I know the outcome by default.

@Survivors: Dont blame the killer for tunneling every game. This game is created to do it. Tunnel one out before the 4th gen is done. Tunnel the 2nd out before the exit gates are opened. Use the Altruism survivors love to do to grab someone off the hook and go for the last person. Thats the way. Mixing hooks? Dont tunnel? Yea, if u play against noobs who fail skillchecks, yes. Besides that, mixe them if u want to lose.

Hell, give us a fckin break, please!!!

I face more and more sweaty teams these days that can get the gens done in record time if you are not efficient enough in chases. The worst thing is that I get sent to the same 3 realms every game as Bubba or Billy: Badham, Eyrie and GoJ. It's so frustrating because these maps are so severely unbalanced that there is almost no winning against this. Not only has GoJ the best loop structures but also so many loops in general that survivors win by just predropping pallets every game. If you don't run the good addons on Bubba you lose on this maps.

When it comes to the Nurse after mid chapter assuming they don't change the addons in the PTB you should rather run Jenner's Last Breath and Campbell's Last Breath instead of the Torn Bookmark because it has way less downsides to it and does its job better.

The MMR syystem kinda ruined the experience for everyone. It creates artificial pressure to sweat as much as possible in order to stand a chance of winning on both sides. I think (tinfoil head on) BHVR does this intentionally to keep you pressured and get a lot of negative emotions because thats what keeps you playing this game. Negative emotions always beat positive so they stay in your head. Thats why many games are going the competitive route. It makes you addicted to the game. That might be why SBMM was implemented in the first place.

And as long as getting gens done quick is always the survivors #1 objective gen perks and perks that waste the killers time (2nd chance perks) will always be meta and used by almost everyone. So unless BHVR changes the core gameplay things will never change.

10/10 seething, coping, malding rant post,, could have been a little better if it included complaints aboht flashlight sabes being easier now 💯

TBF there was no justifiable reason to make a flashlight buffer. Flashy saves are now braindead easy and I'm finding myself in more and more situations where I can't pick up the survivor because they are postioned in a way that makes the saves very easy and I have to slug and down the other survivors as well which is just boring. And if I don't bring agi hooking survivors is a pain because a lot of teams I go up against bring atleast one sabo toolbox.

No one is saying survivors are owed the escape but usually it's a courtesy thing. Sort of like yeah buddy I know this game is unwinnable now go ahead and get out quick better luck next time solo.

It's the nice thing to do?

I would say it depends on the situation. DC at the start? I don't wanna wait for 5 gens to pop so imma end the game quick? 3 gens left because someone had another temper tantrum? Get the gens done and leave. I fully understand people getting extremely frustrated by those dcers. Like you just want a normal match and someone dcs for no good reason other than: this match is not going the way I want so I have to inflate my massive ego and leave.

Sure, the map is annoying. Just slightly less than Lery.

The thing with Lery's is that it's not that bad of a map for a lot of killers unlike Badham. The reason why it's so brutally bad for Nurse is because of the way you play the Nurse. You are slower than survivors so you constantly need to use your power to catch up. And because there are always multiple ways to go to another room and break LoS it eventually makes the map really bad for her. Badham is just bad for every killer

Oh yes, Lery is the worst. If survivors are are good at stealth it can be hard to find them and track them. There are so many line of sight blockers and so many obstacles and the map feels pretty big. Detection perks would help a lot.

I find Badham slightly less bad. If the map allows, I focus on a smaller area and give up on far away gens. I usually get some advantage in multi-floor areas. (Midwich and Gideon are so good)

The problem with Badham is that if offers so many places to hide especially in and around the buildings. Combine this with the fact that Nurse moves very slow and if the survivors play the long game you can feel very helpless barebone. With BBQ I have a much bigger chance of winning because searching for them does not take nearly as much time.

Games go by faster because most just want out of the nurse game but don't want a penalty.

So sit on a gen till you can give up on hook!

Most don't give up on hook though. They just play the game normally but I have a feeling that against the nurse most survivors are organized all of a sudden as if all survivors I face are on comms (which I don't believe smart soloQ players can be gen efficient as well). It just surprises me how fast they get the gens done without many gen perks.

Well usually solid/good nurses I face don't facecamp but blink on gens or search close area and blink back to hook to get trade or prevent save completely. They have good intuition when save is about to happen so it's pretty miserable to play agains't. It would be totally fine for me if they would blink back to hook once save has happened but they even do that playstyle if it's only 3vs1 at 5-3 gens. They want fast wins I understand that but they could easily win with other way too.

I've been once tunneled also prestige 70 god nurse she searched whole map to find me and I went to hide in basement that was weird and eventually she found me after that she slugged other 3 survivors in seconds. Maybe if I would hide better and other 3 survivors could done gens. I was not even obsession she probably got mad that I had dead hard only think I can imagine.

Good that you're one good nurse at least who goes for chases. I face them rarely it's weird that usually the worser the nurse I face more likely they go for just chases. They don't even tunnel often. I don't know if it's wrong word to say those nurses good I face like well actually very good nurses like you go for chases or slug whole team in seconds. That is at least much more skillful.

I like chases. The main thing I hated as barebone Nurse was finding survivors after hooking. It's literally the main reason why I run BBQ again. I usually don't want aura reading on Nurse especially those that procc mid chase because there is no skill for me to get the down but BBQ is the big exception because I just want to have my next chase ASAP. I also hate gen kicking perks because it's so boring to kick gens over and over again instead of going for a chase so I decided to bring Pain Res as it does it's job for me (plus it will still work on her after the mid chapter unlike Surge/Jolt) and since I want to keep up the pressure mid game I also bring grim embrace as it stalls survivors for 40 seconds as a reward for playing fair (there needs to be more perks like this) and a 4th perk like agi to counter saboplays and body blocks which were really annoying when I played her barebone.

  • @ratcoffee said:

yeah i Highly recommend doing barebones challenges (no or few perks/addons) for practicing fundamentals, its very challenging but feels rewarding if you only do a few games in a row (3 months sounds pretty rough)

It was a good experience. I just wanted to improve my game sense and muscle memory and it worked. Nowadays I'm guessing their spawn right 95% of the time and people rarely get angry when they realized that they got beaten by a barebone Nurse. I actually wanted to keep going but man the gen speed is just too much. If I don't run atleast one gen regression perk the gens fly like nothing even if I perform really well. It's also less stressful playing with BBQ on a map like Lery's and Badham where it can take forever to find a survivor. Even though I enjoyed playing her barebone most of the time there were also times where I felt helpless and frustrated. So I decided to stop playing barebone for now. I honestly am very happy with my current skillset and even my friend who is a Nurse veteran was impressed by how much I improved in 3 months.

How you play most good nurses I see usually hard tunnel and camp because they want quick wins did you use these tactics at all. Weaker killers has to rely them but still most often killers I see camping/tunneling are nurses and blight even if they're very good prestige 40+.

I'm also a P90 Nurse if it interests you.

No. Most of the time I played a 12 hook game and almost never tunneled. And camping as Nurse doesn't make much sense if the survivor is not close to gens being worked on and so boring that I almost never did it (endgame is an exception ofc)

Yes... and the new boring Kick-Meta. I dont like kicking gens all the time. Thats why I play PR+DMS, I dont like CoB+Eruption.

I really miss Ruin, even if the Totem-Spawns are horrible.

Yeah I can never get warm with this current meta. It's so boring. I know it's the easy strat to win with any killer but kicking gens anc camp 3 gens are not fun

We will join your main soon. All of us.

    Because of the addon changes?

  • @Little_Kitten said:

I also have periods sometimes, with the nurse.

Sometimes it will be full gens' perks: aggressive build with Eruption // Call of brine // Overcharge // Deadlock

Sometimes it will be full aura reading : Nowhere to hide // BBQ // I'm all ears // Lethal Pursuer

Sometimes, it will be a mix : flood of rage // pain resonnance // I'm all ears // BBQ

    or

Agitation // pain resonance // floods of rage // BBQ

Sometimes, it will be "naked" : 0 perk, 0 addon.

By the way, I used to alternate between double recharge and recharge/ranges, but now, since the 6.5.0 PTB, I only use the Anxious Gasp + "Bad Man's" last beath.

I also went through the "Shadowborn #########?!" phase.

    First time equipping Shadowborn :

"God, what the hell, I'm never going to be able to do this" 😱

    After a few games :

"My god, it's so good, I'm addicted" 😍

When I wanted to do without it:

"God, what the hell, I'm never going to be able to do this." 😱

    After a few games :

    "Oh ... in fact ,I can ..." 😐️

I dunno about shadowborn on Nurse. It feels like the blinks make me feel dizzy. It just looks very weird while blinking and it feels like my precision is gone. On the other hand I tantrum a lot if I play Leatherface without shadowborn. It just allows me to take te loops tight while still not going into tantrum. And Blight is just unplayable without Shadowborn.
