  • Gf/mikey because of the jump scares. Bing bong boy too if he has the right add ons.

Trapper. I main trapper and if i step in a trap i have to say WP.

Nurse. I need more practice dodging her and she takes a lot of skill to be good with blinks.

They’re anonymous and like to gloat, and online messaging makes them feel it’s consequence free.

Yes. Tons of people like to talk ######### but in person they dont because theyre afraid of getting hurt.

  • I hit r1 for the achievement and said never again. Although mm is so f'ed up i get red ranks at any rank now. When i was red rank all my matches were with red survivor. I dont want to bring the meta every game. If i feel i have to play a certain way to succeed im no longer having fun and i play something else.

  • Ash with the ashy slashy puppet. The key comes out of his ear and it can be mistaken for his hair.

  • I think regression is the key but not all the way. It has 3 lights so lets make use of it.

Say you open a gate long enough for 1 light to turn on and you have to leave. The progress goes down to at least 30%. 2 lights is 60%. 3 lights is 90%. Either way they can't just walk up to it, tap it and it opens. Blood Warden would probably get a rise in use. Always hilarious when they tea bag at the exit gates before they realize it's active.

The perk needs a limit to ensure Survivors don't passively play around aura-reading abilities and completely counter them.

If you allow the perk to recharge, Survivors will never hide against BBQ & Chilli and the like. They would do gens, burn up the tokens, sneak near the Killer to recharge, then repeat the process.

Survivors don't hide from bbq now. They don't want to get off the gen their working on to go in a locker. That's why they keep asking for nerfs. How many counters do you need?

If distortion recharged I can picture someone running OoO and completely abusing it. Looking at the killer without revealing themselves.

Nurse with addons like omega blink was indeed op. Im as a nurse main would know that. I dont think something changed about her addons now as im aware she still has range addons. Addonless nurse however was balanced.

Some of her old add ons made her OP, like the 4x blink. I don't think many will argue that. I just hate the cool down they gave to her blinks. It makes traversing the map harder. It may not look like much but those extra few seconds add up. When you find someone you are probably empty. By the time you recharge you need to use both blinks just to close the distance and wait for the recharge again to attempt to hit them. It takes some getting used too.

She still has omega blink add on but I believe any killer shouldn't need add ons to be good.

  • NOED didn't use to be a hex perk. Would you like it to go back to that?

  • "Stop tunneling every Claudette you see"..........is this a trick question? Who see's a Claudette? Everyone knows she's invisible.

  • The problem is there are A LOT of people, either side, complaining about something. There are some complaints that are justified but it's hard to find the truth when it's surrounded by so much bull@!#$. Like the bible :P

BT and DH I'm fine with.

DS, if they made it so locker grabs don't trigger it, getting healed or hooking someone else deactivates it. Then I think it would be golden. I just hate it when I hook someone, leave, hook someone else, run into the first person again and they still have ds. I left you on the hook so you could be rescued, you even got healed, I also hooked someone else. I proved I wasn't tunneling you. You had amply opportunity to survive.

Adren, it's annoying but I don't think it needs a nerf.

    Noed, cleanse totems problem solved.

"I suck against this particular killer"-----practice instead of asking for nerfs!!!!!!!

Lol this guy here is salty af or something.

I play killer just fine and don't don't mind having swf and red ranks thrown against me when I'm in green myself.

Matches are not short all the time like the "killer mains" like whining.

Pretty sure pretty much every killer out there makes some mistakes. They just think they are perfect when they 4k. How can you even know that you made no mistakes?

And about survivor queues...well , I wait around 3-5 minutes which is totally fine. And with new matchmaking coming soon I hope, we probably will wait less. So nah , no need to cater to killer crybabies who find it too challenging to play. Just go play civ v.

When I'm rank 15 and being paired against reds most of my matches, I'm not having fun. When I have to bring my best perks, my best killers I'm no longer having fun. When I switch to a killer I hardly ever use for a daily or to mess around and get bullied by a good swf, I'm no longer having fun. The amount of kills I get or don't get has nothing to do with it. I can lose a match and still have fun. Lately I've been having a hard time finding reasons to play this game because of all the issues. It's pretty much only frustration for me at this point.

So in Kote's words, I decided to "Play something else" :P

I don't need data to tell you I'm not the only one feeling this way. The devs keep upsetting either side, those people are going to leave and que times get worse. I've said my 2 cents, back to Warhammer

Nurse is fun but it gets very old

once you get the muscle memory down (which doesn’t take long at all, people here make her sound like rocket science but it’s not true) then games become a breeze

winning every game without any effort isn’t fun

I don't think "Nurse means easy 4k" is the real issue here. i think it's more along the lines of "Survivors suck". I see tons of people treat the nurse like a normal killer and try to pallet loop her. I down those people in moments. I've had other people that know to block los and it takes me forever to catch them. It doesn't mean nurse is an easy killer to get 4k. I think it means majority of survivors suck against nurse.

Like others have said. Nurse is not fun anymore. It's very unforgiving and exhausting if you mess up a blink. She is still powerful if you know how to blink but it's just frustrating to play her vs billy. A side note I wouldn't main nurse on console. I tried it on xbox and it was terrible. PC is best for nurse. On the charts she's like the least used killer on console for a reason.

Maybe or maybe not. Seems like no one cares about the penalties. People are either going to get on smurf accounts or it will drive people away from the game. Forcing people to not play your game can’t be a good thing in the long run. 🤷‍♀️

I dont think smurf accounts would work in this game. You would have to unlock all the perks again. If your going to dc because you were found first or you don't like the killer being used id rather you stop playing dbd all together. Makes my life easier. I dont have to listen to the other 3 survivors whine at me for not going easy because someone quit. Better than letting them get away with it. I remember the days where

    I missed my ds /quit

ruin wasnt cleansed in 20 secs /quit

    I was found first /quit

    The killer is nurse /quit

    Someone brought a BPS /quit

    The killer isnt farming /quit

    The killer hit me /quit

  • It's not perfect but I feel the dc penalty is a step forward at least.

  • My only rule when playing as killer

"A lion does not concern itself with the opinion of the sheep"

  • I think BHVR did plan on getting The Creeper. They dropped a big hint one stream referencing the "23 days" line. Then I think they dropped the idea when the creator of The Creeper was discovered to be a pedophile.

  • Sounds like another salty survivor main. I think half the toxicity of these forums can be eliminated if people stop for a second and ask themselves "What would I have done in that position?"

  • Warwick Davis's Leprechaun

    The Babadook

    Silent Hill's Pyramid Head

OJ Simpson. He can pretend to be a survivor, stab someone and be like "I didn't do it. It was Nea"

  • Does wraiths cloak block kindred?

  • I think it's because BHVR has no idea how to balance their own game.

    Patch 1.9.2

    I rest my case.

  • I opened this thread just to see peoples responses for a laugh.

  • I wouldn't call this a funny comment but I escaped because of q&q once. It was against a billy. Someone opened the gate and I was on the other side of the map. It's billy so I figured my chances of opening the other gate before he gets there are slim to none. So I try to sneak my way to the opened gate. He spots me and chases me. I run to a jungle gym and in an act of desperation I drop a pallet and as he is breaking it I turn a corner and fast enter a locker. He tries to mind game me and runs the other way. He proceeds to loop the jungle gym but for some reason he fails to suspect the locker. It's like he was thinking "He wouldn't be stupid enough to be in there" This was before head on even came out. He sprints back to the gate. He then circles around. I managed to rest for exhaustion then SB to the gate. He chainsaws me as I get to the exit.

I told him in the end game chat about the locker and he said "Is that what happened? Damn"

I honestly dont blame them. Killer is super stressful at red ranks. Especially going up against really good survivors who know how to loop.

Depends on who you ask. Survivor mains will tell you killer is super easy. Killer players will tell you what was already mentioned. Sorry survivors but when it comes to issues involving killer I tend to believe the killer mains over you. It's just not fun anymore.

  • If i worked at bhvr and heard people got upset the chapter didnt release on the 10th. Id probably say something along the lines of "who said it was coming out on the 10th? Why are they getting mad?"

  • In a shooter I could understand but this game? K/M wouldnt make much of a difference.

  • This is why I went back to warhammer :P

Deathslinger isn't going to make me come back.

    Hello

1 ; Reduce the speed of the generators!

2 ; Decrease the blood points for the hatch! 3 survivors escaped by the hatch, 1 generator to do ... PFFF

3 ; Doctor is far too powerful ...

4; There are also perks like Decisive strike ..

5 BONUS ; that would help the killer! Because with the red rows I can't do it anymore. With the release of Resident evil Resistance, DBD will quickly be replaced.

I just played against 4 red rows.. generators finished in 5 minutes, the time of a chase ! I hang a survivor on a hook, they are all around me, blocking my way.. impossible, Demogorgon is a funny !

    I ask : why tbag ?

    Answer : "be toxic LOL"

I play as a killer I have red ranks, I play survivor I have beginner ranks we always lose..

    I can't take it anymore 🤣

    As far as RE resistence.

I hope it does well but I doubt it. People said Friday the 13th would kill dbd. The law sue made that impossible.

People said Last Year would kill dbd. That hasn't happened.

The resident evil series was going downhill for awhile. Fortunately they recovered with RE7, RE2 reboot and RE3 reboot coming up. But there have been some god awful spin offs of RE in the past. I'll wait till angryjoe or honest game trailers get their hands on it before I pre order anything.

  • There used to be more pallets a year ago. Then there was the infamous pallet vacuum. I think the issue is if survivors know where to run, by the time you break one pallet they can usually get to another one. This is why it's important to learn how to mind game, which way to loop people to force them to take the long way, or don't respect pallets.

Really weird, because almost every of my matches consists of potatoe surivors and end in 4Ks against sweaty tryhard tunnelerinos. Seems you are just playing another game than me.

I'm convinced MM doesn't like me. Even at rank 11 I was getting purple and reds most of my games. Some of those reds were total newbs but most weren't. Now that I depipped back to like 15 due to the reset I'm still getting the same red/purples most of the time. I'm pretty much playing other games until they do something about the current state of the game. As per Kote's advice :P

  • I think a real solution is have a program(the entity) adjust the flow of the match depending on how things are going. Increasing gen speeds would help killers without early pressure but would be op on meta killers ect. Almost every solution has a downside so I propose an overseer. Some program to watch the flow of the match and adjust things depending on how hard the scales are tipping. For either side. Again this is just a suggestion. I'm not a programmer so I have no idea how they could make that but I think it would solve a few poblems.

  • The game definitely runs better on PC. Survivor's won't be able to 360 you most of the time. On console she sucks but on PC the Nurse is the best killer but only if you have a ton of practice under your belt. The match making is just as bad. You may have a 5 min wait or a 1 min wait as killer. However even at rank 18 you will sometimes get thrown at red rank survivors. I would dare say PC players are more toxic than console players. At least in the end game chat. I don't know how it works on PS4 but on xbox they can still send you hate messages. On PC, once you back out of the score screen they can't send you messages unless they send a friend request and you accept. I have had to block certain people on steam. They looked up my gamertag and posted hateful comments on my profile or pictures. If you haven't invested too much time into console and enjoy the game id say pick it up for pc the next time it's on sale. Otherwise take Kote's advice and "play something else" :P

  • I think my favorite nerf was the exhaustion nerf. Being able to use sb twice in a chase was just not fair.

2nd favorite was the bt nerf where it only affected the person on the hook instead of both. It was too safe before that nerf. Unless you were bubba it was easy to make a save and escape. Now it's strictly for the hooked persons survival.

I think my favorite killer nerf was the rework to tinkerer. I hated insta saw and insta hatchets.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Discordance, without a doubt. This gives early information, especially during the Lategame, when less Gens are on the Map and the Survivors are more grouped together.

Tinkerer only informs you when the Gen is almost finished, not that useful tbh, at least when compared to Discordance.

The only time I saw a billy really use tinkerer was on crotus penn. We finished a gen and as I turned the corner of the jungle gym I literally walked into the path of a chainsaw. He was running a muffler so not only did we not hear his TR thanks to tinkerer but we couldnt hear his saw either. Certainly gave me a jump scare lol

  • Don't touch the ability to seethe survivor's items. The killer needs to know if someone is bringing a key, 4 tool boxes, 4 flashlights ect. So they can plan around it. Lightborn, franklins, ect.

As for offerings id be fine with those being hidden until the match ends. Whenever I run BPS people tend to quit at the loading screen for some reason? I predict when the sabo changes land, there's going to be a rise in ebony mori users.

  • @Maníaco_da_garrafa said:

Ruin has nothing to do with this, stop pretending it does.

I main trapper and I phased out ruin with intervention long before the nerf. It didn't hit me as hard but it does have something to do with this. It's been said so many times before. The killers are not equal and many lack map pressure or a power that helps in chases. It has most certainly had an effect on the game and not a good one. Look at all those red survivors that can't hit a great skill check. Ruin at least kept those newbs in their place. Now we need a thanos snap to fix this mess. Which the devs have found by erasing rank :P

  • If they address the issue of many killers lacking early game pressure I think that will fix the majority of my complaints. Everything else has already been stated. Bugs, nurse blinks, map sizes ect.

I wasnt around for the dark times but ive heard about it. I felt the game was getting better but the past few months I feel we've been going backwards.

  • /looks at the ruin rework

I'm sorry I can't hear you over the sound of irony.

Playing killer sucks right now. It's very frustrating, no room for error and the matches fly by fast. It's just not fun anymore. Until they readjust the game I think survivor que times aren't going to improve. As for why que times took you 5 mins one day and 30 another. I've no clue. Were you playing at a different time? Was it a day you had off and tried playing when other people may have had work/school?

  • Actually it makes perfect sense why Clown is so fast. It's because he's fat. It's one of the rules of a horror movie. Just before Freddy vs Jason came out there was a documentary that went over the evolution of horror movies. They went over the rules of a horror movie. One of them was "The slower the killer the faster he'll catch her". So clown isn't on meth he's just staying true to the stereotype :P

I have zero clue. They probably want to change it, it just isn't high on the priority list.

Regardless, it is only speculation until a Dev pops in.

    They probably will change it.....to 10, 15, 20 -.-

Give it the "remember me" treatment.

  • Wow. I know there's more survivors for every killer but it just feels like they make up the majority of salt in this game.

As if surv care about killers' feeling when they loop us around mindless objects for a min till they get caught? After all, they are just doign their "job".

But when killers do their job, which is killing you by any means necessary as there are 4 of you to go against, then we are toxic.

If we play by your rules we lose. Every time.

"As trapper I'm not allowed to use my traps? Oh, there it is. Survivor rule number 158.......I will uninstall now"

    >.>

  • Often if I get a 3 gen it's because the survivors screwed up. I will patrol an area that has gens densely packed but if it turns into a 3 gens it's because the survivors finished the other gens.

If you use IS+detective, almost 100% you'll get a totem to kill and you heal in 6 seconds--it will cost you two perks and you only have a maximum of 5 totems but I have found it works well as a solo when you can't count on anyone healing you. I don't run any of the alert perks--like Spine or Alert or Premonition--just try to stay aware if someone is about to run up on me. Even better if you are swf on comms on that point.

I have been messing around with inner strength and I like it. I tend to at least look for totems in between moving to gens for fear of noed. Depends on the flow of the match. If were doing well I'll totem hunt, if were doing bad I ignore totems for gens.

  • I was in a 4 man swf. The killer was wraith. Coldwind Farm. 1 of us died early. Gens are done and 1 of us is being chased. I'm on one gate and my friend is on the other gate across the map. The person being chased gets hit and there's noed. I 99% my gate incase of BW. My friend on the other gate forgot to let go of the button and opened his gate by accident. The guy who opened his gate leaves cause the survivor about to be hook is on their death hook. As I open my gate, before I get to the exit, the wraith hooks the survivor and he did have Blood Warden. Our friend had kindred so I can see the wraith is cloaking, is heading my way and I know he has noed. I'm freaking out. I run out of the gate and look for the nearest jungle gym when I hear the faint sound of the hatch. By sheer luck it was right next to the gate and I managed to get out before the killer got to me.

When BW popped up and that wraith with noed came running towards me I thought I was screwed. No way I could have looped him for a whole minute and got out without getting hit. I even said in the end game chat I was running to find a place to hide when i stumbled upon the hatch.

One match on clowns map. The killer was billy. We just finished a gen and I turned the corner of a jungle gym only to eat a chainsaw to the face. He had tinkerer and a muffler add on so he had no heartbeat and I couldn't hear his chainsaw.

  • While I don't like people who dc or suicide on the hook I'd like to make one statement. The killer is not obligated to go easy on the rest of the survivors. Your teammate screwed you over. Instead of yelling at the killer or filing false reports, send those to the douche bag that suicided on the hook.

  • Most of my advice has already been said but one thing I can suggest. Run pharmacy and farm a couple green medkits. Try to build a stock pile. Take off pharmacy and bring a medkit instead of a key. Even the best players get ht from time to time and sometimes there isn't a fellow survivor around to heal you. Stealth is difficult already but it's even harder when your bleeding. SC takes too long and I don't feel like devoting a slot to it.

    All else has been said.

Fixated or UE. Spine chill for early warning(works wonders on gf) dance with me+lithe to try to break los after a fast vault, q&q+head on for locker plays. SB is a great "oh #########" button encase your stealth fails. Mainly against billy, LF, and, to a lesser degree, Oni. Those are the only killers I won't try to stealth against unless I brought SB. If I'm crouching behind something and they find me I probably won't make it to the pallet before they chainsaw me.

  • I think the devs need to stop working on adding new content and focus on balancing what is already here. New killers, survivors, maps are nice and all but id rather they address some of the core issues mentioned already. Take away some resources from drawing in new players and invest it in keeping the ones you already have. Some youtuber described this game as a revolving door. New people coming in veterans going out and I feel that's the perfect metaphor for dbd.

  • I feel the game evolved into something it wasn't intended. The survivors have so many tools to extend the chase instead of preventing a chase in the first place. I think the issue is looping is just so effective and not as difficult compared to stealth. If your stealthing it "might" work. Looping "will" work, it's just a question of how much of the killer's time can you waste. Stealth gets a bad rep. Majority of people who stealth tend to sneak everywhere when there's evidence the killer is no where near them. They tend to waste a lot of time by being sneaky. So stealth is often frowned upon. The moment you get hit stealth is pretty much not possible thanks to the blood trail. Certain killers like Billy and LF I don' even attempt to stealth them. If they are looking around and see the spot I'm ducking at they can get me with a chainsaw before I get to a pallet. I treat stealth like blood warden. It's rare but it's amazing when it works.

I think my favorite stealth moment was against a huntress. I heard her coming due to spinechill and I UE away from the gen I was on. She looked around the jungle gym for maybe a full minute before she left. I kept circling around. The best part was she checked 1 locker, as she circled around to check the 2nd locker I got into the first one :P

1 … 87 88 89 90 91 … 98
