    I just realize this.

If Killer manage to win early game, its mostly over for survivor team. As in, first down in 30sec into match, or 1 dead before 2 Gen done.

If Survivor manage to win early game, as Killer get 1-2 hook that cost 3 Gen. Killer still have chances to come back. And there are many reasons: Survivors start taking it easy (its ok to have a fun chase and get a first hook, while another survivor walking around finding totem ect), or Survivors make major mistake (which is happen alot), or Killer has End game build (which I use alot, I can sometimes go from 1 hook 4 Gen into 4k with Rancor,Noed,Bloodwarden)

Or the game is just a mess, the early game is the hardest for killer. The fact 4 survivors can spawn separate on gens is a joke, maybe they spawn on your hex too. No matter the killer if survivors do gens and the map and spawning is bad you lose a gen or 2 especially without corrupt. The survivors then arent taking it easy if they lose, they're just actually facing the killer at a more balanced level when the killer is able to begin pressure etc.

  • 2 gen regression? That's not alot at all and kinda needed when you go against a team that does gens... have you ever thought you and your friends (or randoms) are higher rank than you should be? Like if you're struggling then its probably on you, not being mean but with the bad ranking it happens

  • You clearly haven't versed my pig, if you did your be asking why you get it off the very first box lol.

Being serious though I'd prefer a key system, each box gives a key. Need 2 keys to remove the trap, then addons that increase boxes can add another key required. This way it's never first box, or your very last.

Makes it more consistent and removes too much rng because rng sucks

  • Honestly should just pair quitters with other quitters, and label them as so. I dont quit, I dont want others to quit. I just want to play the game and have fun, if people are going to be selfish and ruin it for others keep them paired together and see how they like people dcing on them constantly

  • I love deadspace, mainly the first two as the third wasnt as horror/survival. But honestly I dont know if I want it in DBD, they would probably just kill the characters from looks to powers etc.

But dead space getting rebooted woop! Next few years a filled with horror cant wait

  • I like wraith, besides he just got a built in windstorm so running such an addon wasnt needed.

Good buff, more killers need little tweaks like this tbh. If you're struggling and I dont mean to sound horrible saying this but..

Maybe you dont belong in the rank you're versing these killers at. Not your fault though ranking is awful

  • @Phasmamain said:

Lopro chains and brown overheat are his best imo

Cant say I use lopro alot, always budget my addons lol. I suppose I can give it another go though

  • Well thanks for the correct calculattions!

And Pig, honestly didnt think pig was considered good tbh, Hardly ever see pigs so it's a shame lol

    32k match

    32k Bloodhunt

    32k BBQ/WGLF

    168k for 5 cakes (525% x 32000)

    264k max per match

Yeah I forgot that 5% I was just trying to be quick before I got into my match, but its okay it was a fast match most of my team DC'd

  • Wait I'd get better teammates and still verse the usually sweaty survivors when playing killer? Seems like a win in my books.

  • It doesnt double the double if thatd what you mean.

    32k max

    64kmax with double bp

96kmax for double bp and max stack of wglf/bbq

    192k if 5 cakes

256k if you get 32k with 5 cakes, double bp and max stacks of WGLF/BBQ

Might be wrong but just got into a match lol

Edit:didnt add the extra 5% from the cakes, this would be if 5 party streamers

  • A quicker fix is more totems to give 1k survival points instead of boldness. Makes more sense that way anyway as getting totems increases you risk of survival by preventing noed, getting rid of string hex perks etc.

  • Is it your wifi? Like sure I see some bs hits each day but I cant say its every game like you're making it out to be.

Isn't this a pc thing? With vpns? Pretty sure you cant do it on console

It is not really the fixed structures (however, the Pantry can be a pain to play for Killers, if the Survivor knows what they are doing), but the RNG.

You can have a complete Deadzone in the middle with exactly nothing. No Pallet, nothing. Maybe a Hill, but even that one is not guaranteed and only useful for Balanced Landing. And those are the worst games on Swamp for both sides IMO, especially on Grim Pantry. If there is a big deadzone in the middle, Survivors will always run to the Pantry and while not as bad as it used to be, as I said, it can be a pain to play as Killer. And you cannot really blame the Survivors there that they bee-line to the strong Structure if there is nothing else around.

Then there are really obscure Totem and Hatch Spawns, Hooks can also not spawn in one area (from what I know the only Map where you can actually have problems to hook Survivors, if you get unlucky).

I really hope they rework the Map soon and the graphical Update gives some Improvement. But, I would not mind if they just delete it "by accident". (In general, I would give up Ace just to remove this Chapter out of existence, it never happened, no Swamp, no Hag...)

Well in comparison to some other maps it's no heavily weighted to one side or the other, and yeah the pantry is annoying for killer but the rest is pretty equal unlike a few other maps. Like I'd take grim over cowshed anyway, screw that barn and the numerous safe loops lol.

I just hope on the redo it becomes even more of a "swamp" certainly dont want the squishy sounds to go lol

  • It's not a bad map at all, both variants are okay as either side and I'd say it's one of the maps where a skillful player can use the tiles (like the big boat) better than the average

  • Yay, it might actually make me use the offerings and not feel like I'm just wasting them if I did. I currently dont use anything but bp offerings

  • When you just make a post because you are curious and people start arguing over streamers and nothing about the question I asked... sigh..

  • @NoOneKnowsNova said:

Although I dont know if there are more killer fog whisperers or survivor fog whisperers (as I've never really watched dbd on twitch outside of a few smaller streamers), what I think is most important is that they're nice individuals that BHVR want to promote their game.

I'm just curious is all, they seemed like great people I'm just wondering why I didnt see killer players. I could of just missed it or there could be deciding number factors

  • Honestly I'd much rather all maps had 3 variants no more. Then the map is drawn randomly and then the variant after the maps been decided. This way I feel certain maps would be less weighted in popping up

  • Yeah likely made up, however if they count filters as cheating probably not as far fetched

Most people don't want to face hackers, including those on PC the fact you make it out that all PC players must be avoided to avoid a very small portion of people that hack on PC is not justified. Either accept the PC community or opt out, if your queue times are unbearable if you do... apparently not enough of your own platform community agrees with you.

I am not a hacker or cheat, yet you are telling me that I am not welcome to play with you! That is the reality, sorry but that is not what crossplay is about! Make your choice, opt out or embrace every gamer that wants to play the game

So I'm forced to not play the game because I was forced into crossplay with pc. Crossplay with just the two consoles would be great. Infact It wouldn't surprise me if the vast majority of xbox and playstation users would avoid PC.

Crossplay was done for PC. If the devs cannot have a ban system that detects and stops these players then they shouldn't have done it. Once again while it isn't all pc players hackers exist. People cheating with mods exist. The numerous and debatable advantages exist. Until those are adjusted and fixed they should of held off the crossplay feature.

Btw if this topic wasnt so popular it wouldn't of earned it's way into surveys made by the developers. That indicates they are thinking about it and I hope it becomes a feature.

PC players are not by definition hackers, if you want to generalize like that just turn the crossplay off! Crossplay is for gamers that look beyond the hardware someone uses and sees a person instead of the console vs PC elitism, such egotistic discriminatory behavior due to the hardware someone uses is not what it is about!

Once again. I do not mind the small advantages. I do not want to verse hackers and that a completely justified response. Why should I be forced into longer queues and limitations because hackers are free to do whatever?

If so many people would avoid pc there must be a reason. Mine is hackers and cheaters (cheaters be the ones using mods etc.)

Gamers dont cheat. I have no issues with any platform except when they ruin games like how hackers are plaguing dbd.

  • I use ruin, pop, tinkerer and usually BBQ/discordence.

I place portals somewhat close to gens but out of sight so they dont see them. This allows me to tp to them and remain hidden often giving me free hits.

Shred I use to zone, when they're locked within a small space or to reach further to get hits a vaults etc.

Ruin as best regression. Also regress gens while you setup

    Pop as backup/late game

Tinkerer as it's a great ruin combo, allows me to keep track of gen progress and let's me portal all over the map and do a decent hit and run

BBQ/discordence just as extra info oh player locations, gen progress etc. Also discordence with tinkerer let's me know if I have time to stop it or not

  • Demo, 4th years cakes I still have 90. This year I didnt play as much with all the dcs and issues but I still got a couple hundred spread across survivors and killer (180 survivor 80 killer)

  • I think you may have commented on the wrong post, sure mouse is easier to aim with but not to a degree of it being cheating etc. Like the filters that make the game easier to see, it's a small advantage but not game breaking like hacking and game file mods for advantages

  • @Northener1907 said:

You can do it. But then you are playing only with your platform players.

Also for topic, we all are not hackers. Blame game because they have not good anti-cheat system. Why you are being racist to pc players?

I know you all aren't, but with the devs how bad they are at their coding etc. I cant imagine them ever getting a program to stop this stuff. Like I said most things from M&K, low graphics, filters etc. Dont bother me, it's the unfortunate people hacking or cheating through mods. So while it's not everyone I'd rather just not take the risk as it seems to be getting worse and worse.

Have you ever used PC filters? They allow you to change colour depth, contrast and gamma. My TV screen does the exact same thing and even has preset profiles I can set it to, which is funny because it cost me $70 about 8 years ago and is bloody tiny.

It really is the same. And like it or not, you're just scapegoating PC and blaming everything on magical advantages that don't really exist.

And the best part is, and this really makes me laugh, hacker's can bypass any locking measures the Devs put in place because they just don't give a crap. Which means that it's not a PC problem.

Edit: preset profiles I can save and set it to.

Changing settings that isn't in the game is an advantage.

Yes the devs are bad and should fix it. I completely agree but being forced to play with hackers is a joke, I have no idea what losers like to cheat but there you go. If I have the chance to avoid pc players which is common with then I would.

Dont take offence if you're pc just accept people on your platform ruin it. I'm use to people saying all kinds of stuff about console users but end of the day I play for fun. They're ruining it

  • @MadLordJack said:

You do realise that you can just change the colour on your screen to mak scratchmarks easier to see? Or that M&K don't really change anything because this isn't Siege? Or that you can change the gamma on your screen? Or that by "screen" I also mean TV because that's what I use as a monitor? Or that console players have objectively worse latency due to WiFi usage over Ethernet cables, or overlong ethernet cables that give the connection stability but nevertheless limit the bandwidth?

Or that hacker's can just play in your trials anyway and won't be stopped by something as simple as refusing to play with PC players?

In fact, it's entirely possible that console players can "stretch" their resolution by changing the resolution of their screen, it certainly works for me on PC but I don't have gamepass any more so I can't check on my Xbox.

Changing your tv settings is very different to filters that edit the game and not what is just on screen. So please dont say they're the same. I also said I let all that go and dont care about people editing there settings for a slight visual advantage.

However I'm not going to lie that most of these issues are joined to pc players, sure not all but that doesnt matter when they are common.

If given the choice I'd avoid such players, even if there are good players within that group.

  • I dont even know what to say, 1.5k hours and you still want doctor nerfed? I feel like this isn't true and you're a newer player who is either struggling or doesnt like they arent doing as great as they expected. I have 2k hours, only thing I agree with is BHVR doesnt listen enough

  • Honestly more people just need to learn to play as a team and how to counter them, victor cannot jump when on an incline, he cannot break pallets or walls etc. But honestly no one even seems to kick victor, I have no idea why but they never kick him after a missed attack

  • @SweetTerror said:

Yeah I don't like using ruin only because I find that the RNG usually results in either the survivors spawning close to the hex, or the totem spawning too close to a generator, which is why I prefer POP even though I hate having to abandon a chase to use it.

Yeah totem spawns are a pain, but I usually run ruin and pop then whatever perks I feel might work as info like discordence, tinkerer, bbq etc. Honestly I like surge but it has so many draw backs to be useful lol

  • @InsaneCoaster said:

Wdym, I'm not at all upset XD. I don't care what other people think, I will continue to play the game with the settings I want. If I like low settings because it means I can see the game better, then why not use it? It's an in-game option. If I like the look of a filter, why not use it, it's just my GPU software?

Now arguments against stretched res I 100% can understand, hence why I even made this post in the first place, because I want the game to be more fair for all players. I'm happy to debate that, but you can't say that just because someone uses filters, they're looking for unfair advantages. That's crazy. Not everyone has the same monitors, PCs, overall setups and opinions. You might like the game's brightness as it is, others may not. That's why 95% of modern games have a brightness slider (but not DBD oddly).

You cant say making things easier to see isn't an advantage though as it clearly is... but like I said I dont really care, I accept it. Even given the choice I wouldn't want low graphics as I think it looks awful. By all means pc can use low or filters just dont think it's not an advantage over the console players.

Some people hate on M&K due to some of the turning and aiming it can help with, another thing I dont care about.

Only thing that bothers me is stretched res. It should be banned imo, it ruins mindgame a certain loops and I feel that aspect should remain in the game, if everyone can just look over every loop its be far more bland and survivor sided. Not being able to see over everything is what makes the weaker loops balanced

  • @SweetTerror said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2380007#Comment_2380007

Yeah my usual build for most Killers is BBQ, Corrupt, POP, and STBFL. But I hate having to rely on the same perks over and over just to be effective in a match. I would love to branch out, but that usually results in me getting punished. LOL

Sadly that's just how it is with killer, like sure both sides have bad perks but I sure do feel killer "needs" a gen defense for example. Iv got use to it though, I just try make it less bland by playing both roles and different killers. Hopefully the older perks get a buff soon

  • @InsaneCoaster said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2379961#Comment_2379961

I'm sorry, but what you're saying is crazy. Since when has using filters or changing brightness ever been considered an exploit? If I prefer my game to look brighter or the colors to be enhanced, why can't I do that? I'm not hacking, I'm not modifying any game files, I'm just using my GPU drivers. If using GPU drivers/software is considered cheating, then literally half of all PC players in this game are cheating.

Of course console players can't do the same thing, but that's just the nature of the platform. They're not designed to be able to do that, modern PC software and drivers are designed with that in mind.

So in terms of admitting I like the extra help - yes, I prefer my game to be actually playable where I can actually see what I'm doing in order to use my skill, and yes, I prefer to not have FPS drops that affect my performance in a game. But oh well, guess I'm just a dirty cheater XD.

Looks like you got pretty upset about me calling out the advantages you get. By all means use your ugly graphics and filters, I dont need them to play well. But stretched res is cheating while the others are just advantages. And my performance is great thankyou, no issues what so ever on the new gen and I'm able to run the default graphics not setting it to low. Dont get upset because people dont support you changing how the game was made to suit you or as you say "help to use your skill"

  • Use 2 defense, 1 chase, 1 info for the majority of killers.

Although I tend to skip the chase perk and go 2 regression and 2 info because chases isn't the issue, its gen speed and knowledge of all survivor locations

My apologies also for being aggressive; I wasn't aware you misunderstood, so my mistake on that.

Don't get me wrong, I understand using a build that allows you to win in pretty much any situation, but it's just that with Blight the players use almost identical builds and it's not necessarily due to incompatibility with perks like for Twins for example. Blight can still do extremely well with Corrupt and Pop, but not so much Twins or Pyramid Head for example due to their powers and/or playstyle. I see a similar identical-build observation with Twins but at least I can rationalise why that's so since there's nothing else really available for them to use that's similarly as strong or just strong in its own right.

It'd be one thing if I still say Tinkerer/Ruin/Undying a lot but I still saw another build here and there. But in the past two weeks since the event I've been playing a lot of survivor to grind BP (to guarantee cakes in swf) and I've gone against many Blights. I can only think of one Blight in particular who didn't use tinkerer/ruin/undying, and another who just used tinkerer but no ruin/undying, or even Pop.

Not trying to shame anyone for using strong perks, it just made me curious what triggered the sudden wave of identical builds since I didn't encounter that before relatively recently with Blights

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2379964#Comment_2379964

The point of the post wasn't to shame Blight players from using the perks. It was a question as to why, collectively, there is seemingly such a high saturation of Blight players who use almost precisely the same build, but almost every other killer I go against I don't see such repetition in builds. Twins is the only other one that comes to mind and unlike with Blight, ruin and undying is pretty much the only thing that makes sense in terms of playstyle/power.

I'm sure Blight players are not the only ones who want to win, but I'm still not seeing as similar builds from other killers as I am with Blight players, especially as of late

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2379966#Comment_2379966

Dead ass my experience as well, minus the infectious. For the fourth perk for me I think it's a tie between sloppy or BBQ.

More power to people who want to use whatever perks they want; nothing wrong with that all. But it is weird as hell how it only seems that Blight players use the same build religiously and without necessity either; they're not like Twins where there's no other slowdown that can work well with their power.

I'm trying not to stereotype but this is a really weird phenomena and I don't get why it's happening tbh

Blight is limited, high mobility killers benefit from ruin, because hexs can suck they use undying, tinkerer is good with ruin. Minimum most would use ruin tinkerer because it's what works best. But things that are basic attack only dont work on blights dash attacks so all those perks are pretty meh, and alot of perks are kinda meh in general so when you are trying to find perks that work with your power you are actually quite limited. Personally I dont think blight is as strong as people say but at best there are 10 good killer perks? Gen defense being the most useful so you cant expect them to do much else even more so at red ranks

  • People can run what builds they like. I will run ruin and tinkerer on my blight, best defense on him. Why would I use worse perks when the people I verse wont. No matter the killer I play I shall equip the perks I feel best impact them.

I genuinely prefer the look of Low settings because of the brightness. That's why I can't use Ultra. Also hang on, are you saying PC players shouldn't be allowed to use filters or change settings? That's literally one of the main reasons people play on PC: the versatility. Not everybody's setup is the same and not everybody's preferences are the same, that's what's so great about filters and modifications.

Ah yes, I prefer the low graphics argument because everyone prefers the game looking like it's on a PS2... you legit just said you like the brightness, you like it bright as you can see more making it easier for you. THAT is an advantage over all xbox and playstation players, same as filters which dont make it look nicer or better, its purely so scratch Mark's, red stains and other things are far more visible.

You use stretch res (unfair advantage looking over/round loops)

You use Low graphics (makes the map empty, brighter and easier to see all things especially in the distance)

You use filters (makes red stain, scratch Mark's and other aspects much easier to see)

All these are competitive advantages you are using, they do not make the game look better. I do bot want my game to look disgusting to be on an equal playing field. Just admit you like the extra help and be the end of it

  • @InsaneCoaster said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2378752#Comment_2378752

But at least an FOV slider would be fair, no? It's not like this is some kind of strange, obscure setting. A huge amount of modern games have this as a feature, including competitive games, and DBD isn't even competitive.

I don't care if people don't accept me as a stretched res user, I will continue to use it either way unless something is done to improve the performance and settings of the game.

Interesting you mentioned low graphics, because I'm forced to use that too, since the game is so damn dark on ultra and for some reason DBD is one of the only games ever not to have a brightness slider.

So dont have it set to ultra... seriously the game is meant to be somewhat dark. Us console players put up with it being dark without editing a bunch off settings. Still stands that low graphics, filters, stretch res etc. Are benefits and alot of people use them as so, low graphics looks nasty same as filters I just wish people was honest about it helping them.

I play how the games designed, this is why I always hate crossplay with pc, pc tend to ruin it by changing settings

  • New players yeah, not as bad for people who have played a long time as they have a few people and perks to unlock each 3months, sure it's a grind and could be reduced but I have 2k hours? And have all perks on everyone

  • No point in FOV slider you will just use what gives the best view. Killers are also first person bot 3rd like survivor.

Honestly this post seems like you want people to accept you as a stretch res user.

For me no, whether its filters, stretch res, mods, crosshair, low graphic settings etc. Its used for advantages, I dont like people that play with advantages

  • @Entity_Lich94 said:

It would be interesting to see which one it is but it's most likely survivor. If it was killer, que times for both killer and survior would be alot longer while more survivors mean that killer que times will be quick and survivor que times slow.

It would be useful to know which role is more appealing to everyone

Well survivor to killer ratio is 4:1 to make a game so I guess in the eyes of the system 4 survivors =1 to make an easier ratio of 1:1. So if you see killers more popular the game needs more survivors, if survivors more popular it needs more killers if you get what I mean?

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    Yes

If it's survivor then they need to focus on making the experience feel more fresh when playing for survivors with new content

If it's killers. They need to find out why. Because theoretically, killer should be the more populated role.

I guess itd depend on how they calculate it, I'd assume every 4 survivors to 1 killer would be classed as 1:1 to create a match

  • Yay, as I play both roles itd be nice to know which lobby might be faster as well as seeing which roles are most popular on which days/time

  • At least 65% is the min to avoid 360s, anything less and survivors can actually run faster than you can spin if they do it right.

  • DBD content is like ringing a contest line, you sit on hold for ages at the chance but half the time you never get through.

Basically most ideas/concepts get dropped sadly

  • People are blind, iv found someone on a gen right next to a hex so I just get the hex. Iv pointed at hexs a few Metres away and they still miss it they just want to heal me, I just run straight at it now and t-bag at it like crazy and they usually get it, some still wonder off lol

  • Yes, 1k auric cells (which you get back) for a huge amount of cosmetics etc is nice, the encouragement of different perks along side the bonus BP is great! I just wish they fixed bugs such as clown who's the next tome, they haven't even acknowledged it
