Whatever happened to the upcoming husk system?!

There (apparently) were plans to implement a system whereby if a survivor DC’d they were not immediately dead, that they’d leave behind a husk/slug that that the killer can still pick up and carry to a hook, so that survivor DC’s can’t be used as an exploit to deny a killer a fairly earned hook, and to also not result in the immediate opening of the hatch for the last survivor.

What happened? Is this still a planned feature? If so, what problems are being encountered that prevents the implementation of this?

  • Honestly, my guess is they tried it, something broke hard and they abandoned it without saying anything.

Although since we now have AIs in the form of Tutorial Survivors and Killers, I'm guessing they are going to change it to that instead. Which tbh, is going to be more of a detriment to Killers in a way.

Yeah they can easily be looped and such but they are still going to be doing generators god knows where and you cannot pressure them like a normal human would.

  • What happened to the promised optimisation, trial warmup, skill-based MMR, and all the other broken, delayed or outright never mentioned again promises?

So basically swf because you can't pressure swf either

  • BHVR don’t follow through on a lot of their statements

  • Wasn't that just one of the things they were considering? I think it's clear they're going the bot route, which is much fairer.

Put a source on that King.

  • DBD content is like ringing a contest line, you sit on hold for ages at the chance but half the time you never get through.

Basically most ideas/concepts get dropped sadly

  • The husk idea is intriguing but in practice it would probably be abused somehow for easy bp farming. Even bots have the potential to cause more harm than solve i suspose we will just have to see if they are ever implemented more than the tutorial.

  • I would appreciate that system.

I unfortunately lost a game because some survivor decided "nah" and rage quit
