DS is great as it is, I equip it on every build and use it every game. And honestly the skill check isn't hard to hit at all, people just need to stop being lazy and not expect everything to be free
-
You dont need any perks to beat bad survivors, but if you face good survivors then damn right I want a good build to handle it. I want to have fun, being dominated by a good team to have them BM you isn't fun at all.
TINKERER IS NOT A SLOWDOWN! It's an info perk, it doesnt affect gen speed at all. It's not a gen regression perk.
Like both sides they will run perks they like or what helps them. Some games I dont NEED DS, other games I do. But I will always run it because not having it when I needed it are far less fun than the games I have but dont need. Play how you want, let other play how they want.

The only way to loop Deathslinger is if you get a loop with high walls and you're lucky, that removes like 50% of the loops in the game
I mean it's not 50% some maps are all tall tiles, things like gas heaven sure it's harder but that goes for all killers. But he has limited range, 110% and cannot down you over pallets.
He can still be looped, if you're saying killers shouldn't be able to use their power at any loop then that's both unfair and stupid. If he cant shoot you hes 110 M1... so you can understand why he has the ability to injure at other loops, being 110 M1 at all loops would make him a bully simulator

I'm not talking about stuff like builds or how people play or even ping, i can only see my ping but Ping isn't an issue for me on any other game so i'll have to rule out Ping as my problem. i'm strictly talking about the game not working as intended.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394768#Comment_2394768
Save the cakes for when? When can i play the game? I already have limited time to play and when i try it's not working so when can i expect to use something in this game?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394862#Comment_2394862
Yeah ofc you didn't experience any problems with Cyberpunk, the whole world did but you're the special snowflake...Yeah i definetly need to stop playing this cause it's definetly not worth it but i suppose that's good then right? At least there's 1 less person complaining about actual problems...I guess the solution to people complaining is to have them not complain regardles of their motives... i gotta say i was expecting that as your follow up.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394907#Comment_2394907
I wouldn't DC if there conditions to play. I've already said this...
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394914#Comment_2394914
Didn't improve anything for me. I've done reinstalls and the problems still happen so it's not my issue, it's my PS5 or PC that have issues it's DbD....
Games in a way better state than before, like your op was just about scratch Mark's and sounds, if noticed the same in my games but I'm not quitting. The game will never be bug free, sorry but it wont but these issues while annoying arent as bad.
Well use cakes and make do, I am, others are but if you quit it means 0 BP instead. Stick it out or play another game to chill on, I do it too

i'm not saying camping shouldn't be punished, i'm saying you are not providing any solution to help them do otherwise by just punishing camping, because the reason behind the problem doesn't lay on the action itself or the idea that "they gave up". Just punishing camping won't help them improve either, just like the actual surv meta doesn't help survs get better at the game.
People only complain about a certain issue and think prohibiting that 1 thing, solves everything....while the issue is much more complex than most people care to admit.
Yeah but you see because I want camping to be punished people assume I'm a survivor main, I think bad plays and bad skill shouldn't be rewarded and that goes for either side. You get hit and waste a pallet, no bonus chase points. Trade hooks with someone not long gone on, no bonus safe unhook.
I'm not on either side but camping should be punished and getting 2 kills doing so bad and face camping from the start not only sucks and is boring for everyone but it shows no skill. Seriously I'm more impressed with a killer that get 8 hooks 0 kills than someone with 1/2hooks and 1/2kills
Bad actions = punishment/no rewards

Either way the game isn't performing well so the issue is still there regardless of DC bans so banning people isn't a solution to anything.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394396#Comment_2394396
So i should take crap and like it? I'm not justified in DC'ing when clearly the game becomes unplayable? I'm guessing you probably would play Cyberpunk at launch, or AC Unity, or insert whatever disastrous game... And i'm having issues across 2 platforms so clearly the problem isn't on me DC'ing because i can't play, clearly the problem is the game. If the game was alright i wouldn't be DC'ing. DC bans won't stop me from DC'ing whenever i have justification for it, what DC bans will do is make not play for longer.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394416#Comment_2394416
What event? It was a Log In bonus and compensation for catastrophic chapter launch, there was no event, it was copy paste. They deliberatly lied about putting more focus on the big events, we have the proof to this right in front of us. Survivors weren't getting enough cake's compared to killers, not that it mattered much since game performance has been at an all time low, so the chances of cakes being wasted are absurdly high anyway... What nice thing has come out of the event?
Even if the event is a repeat it's an event. Okay so save the cakes till now when there isn't crashes etc. Quitting certainly isn't helping you get bp is it. And all it does is mess over the other players trying to play the game, you quitting takes away bp etc. For others, either play or dont it's that simple there are other games out there and these issues really arent that bad

Ah yes. Let's act like rank means anything 😂. Especially when pipping as killer is easy. Now please record how many 4ks you get compared to not by "playing fair" and let us know
Checking back in my VODS. My 4k rate has been 78 %. Can you say the same by "playing fair ?" I'm willing to bet not
Kills mean nothing, but probably I win most games as all killers. I tend to go for hooks than kills so most games is 10-12 hooks. No one is saying play fair, play to win but dont say camping the first person or camping while no one is near is skillful when it's not.
I personally think you need to calm down a little lol

K man. I got it; you won't hear any facts that do not support your hypothesis. Know that if BHVR punishes camping, there will be no Killers. That's all; like it or not, punish playing to win > people stop playing > dead game.
Only fact iv seen is players want to be rewarded for camping nothing else. I must be playing killer wrong then for 4 odd years... funny how I'm always rank 1 though

Really? You're going to say CORRUPT rewards camping? it's a start of match perk that stops after 2 minutes, AND there is still gens Survivors can do.
Thana rewards the Killer spreading out his damage with more slowdown than if he just camps. Nice try, though.
NoED only procs in the end game and can easily be cleaned if the Killer camps. Again; nice try.
Bamboozle only works if a Survivor goes for the unhook instead of..oh..doing gens or bones.
Literally every perk you listed is actually made stronger if the Killer does NOT camp, or is negated if he DOES camp. More Survivor lies to invent problems. Just accept that camping is a valid tactic instead of inventing easily disputed lies.
Camping doesn't make any perk stronger, corrupt buys early time to get the first down and camp, it makes survivors have to run to find a gen to waste time. Also encourages a survivor to try save because their gen was blocked.
Thana just slows the game down, once again buying time. Time is important
Noed. If they dint get the totems (which takes time) you get insta down M1. Even if you lose 5 gens by the first camped player dead you will know the location and like have noed
Bamboozle just to push pallets maybe get a down faster.
Camp all you want, just dont act like it should be rewarded. It's not skillful or entertaining.
I PLAY KILLER. I just dont camp, it's why I'm rank 1 still 4 years later.

Camping. 👏 Should. 👏 Not. 👏 Be. 👏 Mechanically. 👏 Punished. 👏
Survivors punish or reward it by doing gens or rushing the hook like lemmings. Those asking for some bullshit game-enforced punishment are demanding the devs cater to their made up rules and views on camping, tunneling, and slugging. They are thinking they are so entitled to an unhook that they want to force the Killer to give it to them, or be punished for daring to go against their made up rules.
Here's the thing AGAIN:
If there's a 'camping' proximity punishment; Survivor will abuse it. We know this because there WAS, and Survivors abused it.
I don't care if some Survivor main scampers in and goes 'I don't see how it can be abused' because it was. This is not open for debate; It happened. It's a fact that Survivor abused a mechanic designed to punish Killers for 'camping' so badly, that it was quickly removed.
Think about that; not throwing shade on the devs but do they quickly fix anything that's not immensely game-breaking? But the punishment was so abused that it went away so fast, it left a sonic boom in its wake.
Corrupt, thana, noed, bamboozle bubba can get 2 killer easy every game by camping the first hook and never moving, so yes play styles like that shouldn't be rewarded.
But within my 4+years of play this game I cant say I have ever been punished by those points for being near a hook at end game or passing by one, kicking a gen etc. In fact most killers if they get a hook and a slug near can freely stand near the hook.
Maybe you just camp and stay near hooks more than you should. Theres a time and a place, at the start or while no one is there mid trial is pointless and just bad game sense

you clearly are a main surv who don't even bothered in trying to be objective and understand where the usual camping comes from...i'll give you a hint, read the comment above you to get an idea.
Solving camping isn't just about punishing camping and ######### everything else.
I'm a survivor main because I dont think camping is an issue but should be punished if it's not after all gens are done? The above comment decides to give up, camping straight away will not help you get better, if you're camping when no one is near you arent doing anything or improving. My suggestion punishes killers that just sit at a hook even if no one is there, that shouldn't be rewarded lol

You are very wrong. it's not 'small' at all, especially on tiny maps where you can get the penalty while just patrolling on an upper floor.
EDIT: In fact the existence of any penalty is unfair. Camping should be 'punished' by survivors getting saves or smashing gens and escaping. But that's not what they do and I know it because I run multiple detection perks and play Nemesis and Scratched Mirror Myers a lot. Survivors 'hide' nearby, not doing gens, waiting for the save. At times I've watched my crows and zombies just chase and BOOM non-stop near a hook. Survivors do not try to do gens when someone is hooked more often than not.
It really is small, unless you're doing nothing but camping or "proxy" camping as people say, once again though it's one category and why should campers be rewarded?

If you camp with a M1-killer good survivor will always get the rescue. So its not a problem if some killer camp bc you can just rescue.
Granted in solo que it happens rarely but thats a problem with solo communication and matchmaking.
If everyone comes to help sure, but if you're camping that early then it's an issue on your gen and means they're off gens, if it's a 1 or two getting the save then its usually a trade.

To keep the inventory UI/switching inputs simple. We considered seperate ammo, but it wasn't worth the added complexity. The first design had 3 bottle types. :D
Well easier doesnt always mean better sadly. I'm glad there are only 2 bottle types but either up the ammo by base or make them use separate ammo. I love the idea you came up with but having such limited use hurts the potential as atm its use your power for mobility or anti-loop not both or you're reloading most of the time costing hits and pressure
-
@FrndlyChnswSalzmn said:
I have a solution for camping: make it so a Survivor, in the first hook phase, cannot be unhooked. No unhooky til phase 2. That gives their teammates time to do gens and the Killer reason to leave and start a new chase. Alternately, this could be a perk but baseline would be better.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394365#Comment_2394365
Entirely untrue. This is an insult Survivor mains sling to make themselves feel better and is not reflective of reality. Sometimes you must camp to have any chance at all regardless of your skill and people who don't actually play Killer don't understand that.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394335#Comment_2394335
Your 'fix' would make it so Survivors could just hook trade while slowly working gens; killers would have no way to win at all. Do you play Killer? Seriously, I want to know. Because I think if you did you wouldn't have suggested this silly idea.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394474#Comment_2394474
Agreed. Some people just can't stand losing or not having 'fun' for even a single moment.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394450#Comment_2394450
How much more punishment do you want? I already get points taken off my score even when I'm not camping because of small maps or ######### Survivors lurking around the hook, staying just far enough away that I have to give one of them the save if I try to chase. Points toward a pip that I deserve, but lose because they wanna be immersed and crouch nearby then scream 'camper!' which they would've had no idea about if they weren't crouching nearby watching me.
Well like I said if no survivor is near then you get punished (except after all gens are done then its fine) honestly you loose such little points for camping, you only lose alot of points if no one trades etc. Camping atm only reduces a small amount of points from 1 category.
-
No camping isn't a problem, it just need to be more heavily punished especially when no survivors are near the hooked player. Yes some killer are better at camping but all killers can camp regardless or power or perks. Punish it and it wont be as common

I play console, I’ve played both survivor and killer. I’m red ranks. There isn’t that big a gap. I don’t struggle anymore against good players than i do before crossplay. Good players are good players, regardless of platform.
It's not good players that is the issue it's the small advantages console players cant get. I'm a great console player, I'd be surprised if I'm not doing the best in the match (I'm kinda sad at the game lol) but not everyone is going to be as good and seeing others get advantages you cant can and will make you feel abit off especially when you get those bad games. Advantages such as better frames, performance, low graphics, filters, mods, stretch res and hacking are all things that will help regardless and no console has them. (New gen is good performance)
Even a mouse helps but this isn't a fps so I dont count that

I'm sorry but those clearly affect my ability to play the game.If i DC it's justified by lack of performance. This feels like a goddamn Alpha instead of a release ready game.
No its different. While it's an issue for sure I agree it's not an issue that forces you to quit and face the DC penalties, people was being banned for no fault of their own, even with the issues they tried to put up with it and play but got crashes. You're quitting because you cant do as well. I'd rather not have people quit every game again, I'd actually like to play an event properly
-
Oh now you'll get insulted by pc players because us console players are "trash" it's odd they insult people but still want them...
But yeah pc has alot of advantages, while not everyone will use them they're still there. Every small advantage helps and soon builds up
-
Well those are different issues, those arent issues that disconnect you/make you crash which is why the dc was removed before. Since that's fixed these are just the usual bugs after a patch.
Like every patch there are bugs, this time it's more on the killers end
-
Like most killer addons they're pointless, if they mad the blood brighter then they could be useful but just more blood... pointless

5th? Comms give like 10odd perks if not more lol
-
Anti-loop? Honestly cant say that about any killer but nurse, iv still been looping all the other killers round all loops and tiles no matter what?
Or... do you class anti-loop as killers that have a form of range/lunge and not the very basic M1
Also people complain gens take too long now, or killers are oppressive if they can actually pressure gens via speed or teleporting
-
Honestly lullaby would be decent if they changed the stacks and numbers. Should be 33,66,100% so 3 hooks and you have max stacks, 5 is too many for a hex especially when they can be found so easy, as a survivor I dont tend to notice lullaby till at least the 3rd/4th stack
-
Oh another tread indicating console players are bad...
But crossplay off means more chance of swf, less chance of horrible crossplay latency, less players on pc alone so bad players are less common not to mention pc doesnt have to deal with bad frames and lag while having benefits such a filters, low graphics, stretch res etc.
But let's not bash on any platform, its childish and all platforms have really good players and really bad players
-
Yay!!!!
-
No addons change how fast you blind
Can blind at about 45° odd from directly forwards
When the survivors butt first goes near the killers shoulder that's the roughly the timing

Everyone should also take note of the settings they use as well as their actual device capabilities. It's much harder to determine on pc to all the different settings people can use as well as their software

WGLF and BBQ. For bp obviously lol
Or if were on about actual perks then..
DS, stops tunneling.
Thana (slight number change) to stop people rushing gens injured, in high level people hardly bother healing especially when they have things like DH, DS, Unbreakable, resilience etc.
-
Biggest issue is both bottle types share the same ammo, like ew why!
But stick on the duration addon it's much easier
-
I shall horde them all I like, probably wait till mmr tbh lol. Still got like 500 4th year ones left. My offerings, my choice. Besides no one else uses them and when they are used people play so bad and throw the game rushing for point or they leave right away so you die on first hook... no thanks
-
Well I cannot use multiple in one go, depends what build I'm doing, is there a new tome, is there players that look like they might be bad teammates.
And quite honestly I cba to award others, every time I use one or multiple are used people just play stupid and trade hooks constantly for fast points and leave you to die if you are hooked at the end, oh and dcs are a thing. So I shall hold onto my 400 5th year cakes till its back on.
-
From my experience (4years as well) recently even before the patch they take so long to appear. Which is really annoying as every second you wait for them to appear is time wasted, no idea if it's a bug, connection issues etc. But its annoying as hell.
Iv tested this in the past as I was following someone, no scratch Mark's at all but wait a second or two and boom, they're loading in. Dont seem to be every match though

It's from both perspectives, I'm not going to take sides as I play both roles. I enjoy balance and that's what I'd aim for, so yes as survivor I still enjoy maps like hawking's and still think haddonfield and the game etc. Should be changed

I mean there is add-on called ripper brace that increases decay meter..... my problem is with these 44 knives.....even using both add-on does not get you back to old 60. Even Dowsey agrees that this ammo change is really bad and he was running out of knives in mid chase.
I do not think I have ever been hurt by decay meter but this ammo problem so problematic. please revert base-kit ammo changes : (
The base 44 is okay but they shouldn't of nerfed the extra blade addons as well
-
Haddonfield needs to be reworked, open doors at top of houses and move gens so players cant watch the stairs.
Gideon, it's an okay map but far too many god pallets for the majority of killers.
Hawking's, actually pretty good. Its loops are different and get stronger once the pallet is down meaning thought need to go into it not "I'm at another safe loop"
Midwhich, its once again not bad. Wish the classroom had a pallet in and maybe another way upstairs from the centre would be great.
RPD, yeah it dont play well. Too big and messes up most killer powers.
Bad ham, strong loops and more in the favour of survivor but not the worst out there, its alright

Most games were 2-4, aka two or more gen regression perks per game, witih many having entire builds surruonding it. (Along with playing Killers that we generally anti-loop.)
However, that was not the point of my post, and it's not an issue of Rank. (I'm at 2.5k hours, and I do play both sides at Red Ranks, and normally sit around Rank 1 as Survivor. I'm cool with like, two regression perks stacked- heck, I'm a lover of Thana+Sloppy myself, but I think it's at least agreeable that stacking three or more slowdown perks is kinda needlessly insane in your average match.) My point is, there's not really a reason why people playing on either side can't ease up on each other when it's absolute annihlation, both to give themselves more points, and to give the other players in this game a chance to play.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2385735#Comment_2385735
Idk man, I've had plenty of games on both sides where easing up on people at 3 gens left or one hook with 2 gens left on Killer/Survivor hasn't costed me anything. Sure, if you're playing Survivor, a person might not escape- but I've always been of the opinion that getting a 3 man out over a 4 man out or a 3k over a 4k isn't really something to get riled up over, or to consider a 'loss', unless you're playing by some sort of weird challenge rules. (Like the Hardcore Challenge that Dowsey does, or Otz's 50 Wins series, where hatch is a-okay, but Exit Gates aren't.) But, I think those are kinda just niche cases.
Besides, when I say that 'the game is set to be a W for you', I mean it. I mean games where you get 2-3 hooks by the time the first gen has popped and you know where just about everyone is, and how long they've probably been doing it. (Something that you can do with info perks, not that I really saw any last night- but examples such as seeing no one on BBQ on a gen, getting a hook not long after with everyone already death hook or close to it, and then seeing people actually get on gens for the first time since the game started. And, generally, Survivors don't really understand how to loop, or you just seem to destroy them at every single loop they come to.) Or games where you know the Killer just isn't great, and has no idea how to really use their power, and their potential to snowball is pretty low. (Like the baby Hags who will take every trap, or the Nurses who try to play like M1 Killers, or the Blight that you've kept on a pallet that should be pretty easy for him to get you on, but he's struggling. Hard.) I think situations like that are pretty clear examples of games where you can ease up a little on either side and do other things, and still be confident to get either a 3-4k, or a 3-4 man out, while still giving the other side a chance to play and get some points of their own.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2385629#Comment_2385629
Might just be me then, I'd rather come out of a game with a 2-1 man out with everyone getting a lot of points, or the opposite of a 1-2k because I misjudged a situation and eased up then end a game where the Survivors are lucky to have gotten over 10k points (with some barely hitting 5k), or the Killer barely even getting 10k points.
(Plus, I can get the snowball a lot easier against you, especially when playing Killers like Wraith, Legion, or Trapper without any regression perks, so I definitely get where you're coming from- but I kinda assumed in my original post that people are running at least a gen regression perk, since they are the majority of meta perks on Killer's side, and I genuinely don't think it's a bad thing for people to run a regression perk or two.)
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2385621#Comment_2385621
I get the RNG and all, I wouldn't mind it if it was every few games, but when you get to a point like last night for me where it was just game after game for multiple hours of players like that, all of which who were decent on the Killer they were playing (Because you can tell a difference between someone who's new, decent, or good at the Killer they're playing), it's kinda insane and I don't see a reason for it to happen on either side. (Especially since many players don't really make their loadouts a secret during the game on either side when you play, so you can usually tell the difference.) Idk, I just think that there are plenty of games where players, no matter what role they're in queue for, can relax and just kinda chill out instead of just hard focusing on their objectives for the entire game. (Especially, again, when you're against an average Killer and you're destroying them, like a Bubba who struggles to get Bamboozle value and is easily spun, or a Survivor group where you have like 3 hooks by the time the first gen pops, and decide the best course of action is to slug, even though you've already seen everyone that match and have destroyed them at every chase you've been in- especially if you are stacking like 3 or more slowdown perks.)
I will always use two slowdown (ruin and pop or corrupt and pop) its needed alot of games especially on some of the stupidly big maps. Theres not really any other amazing perks to stand out that you get use from, plus when I play killer chases isn't the issue its gen speed so that's why it's used.
Cant really call sloppy (20%) and thana really slowdown perks, like sure they slow down a tiny bit but not by much at all. But let's take sloppy as an example, you can legit use botany to counter it and still get an extra 13% speed to healing. But survivors dont want to "ease up" on meta perks...
Point being people will play at their skill, if you're good at a game then it's not much effort to do well. No one likes losing, but from experience survivors tend to rub it in, times iv played survivor and had teammates be toxic and bm the killer when if I didnt do the long chases and gens we wouldn't of escaped. If you arent going to try then you shouldn't be in high rank and hopefully mmr will fix that

This was enjoyable to read haha, I agree with a lot of these
Well I'm glad you enjoyed it lol, not sure what the point of it was but I was bored waiting for a delivery haha

Anything that is changing the game from its default settings or settings available on all platforms is "cheating"
Even filters and low graphics provides advantages and visual benefits so I guess it depends. People that use it will say no, people that cant would say yes

Dont wait at a pallet, you're welcome

Shes fine on mine lol

Cobgrats on giving it such a long time before you posted your premade decision. Not ever killer will be weak, not every killer will follow the basic M1 loops.
It's a nice change, rewards good loopers that can block line of sight

Definitely need to watch out on the AI Necromorphs, because if we have AI enemies it would make Nemesis a little less unique. If we had like 3 Slashers but one of them is real while other's are hallucinations that can pop up for certain players then that could work. Also the Ubermorph would fit in well since it's claws are actually hands, and not only that it is theorized that the ubermorph in DS2 is a proto Hive Mind so it would be interesting to see that version make it into the game.

I mean we would always just need to see what would happen, the RE Chapter certainly looked great so i would imagine in the looks department they could do them justice. Ain't too worried about the suit being revealing when we literally got bright shiny cosmetics that already do that. But honestly if they ever make a Dead Space chapter or add Isaac Clarke i just want his pain sounds to be as similar to his Dead Space 1 sounds. Like i really enjoy using Leon because i love the VA's work with his sounds. But i do think a Dead Space Chapter is possible, like the one comment said "it's not too futuristic" to the point it won't work. And if we do ever get an Alien chapter then i really don't see why we can't have Isaac Clarke (That is if we do ever get an Alien chapter). But the 2 chapter's i would love to see is Dead Space or Aliens, if ever both then that would be really cool.
Oh the chapters possible but is it a survivor only chapter? Because thatd kinda suck, if not having a power that works in DBD and suits dead space will be a challenge. I'm all for the suit though, love to see that blue bar turn red when injured.
Honestly my next Hope's is dead space, evil within, the thing or aliens

I wont dc, doesnt mean I think the map is good for the gameplay, the rng factors or even most killer powers. I'm just not a sore loser that quits over something, it's not like its going anywhere
