Lol you could just learn to play the game instead of being a bb killer lol.
I play perkless/soundless/powerless nurse and refuse to move until exit gates are powered and I still 4k 9 in 10 matches. I mean the game literally highlights the gens for you what more of a handhold do you need?
If you seriously can't figure it out you can try fortnight. I heard they added Naruto you must be excited about that. :)
Watch out guys, you can see gen auras! Clearly the most OP out there and holds your hand to get those wins !

I’m curious about this. It seems the frequency is very hit or miss varying from each person. Personally, I’ve played against 11 of them since her last nerf which isn’t super rare but isn’t exactly common either considering I still play regularly and the nerf came out around 4 and a half months ago.
So, how often have you seen her in your survivor games? If she’s common to you then I feel jealous. I love playing against her so much!
Iv versed the same spirit 3times in a row some time last week, first and only spirit I had seen since the changes made.
Was kinda funny though as their first addons was the strongest, next game more chill and then the third back to higher rarity lol.
It did amuse me though because you could really see this spirit getting annoyed I kept Escaping, each game they became more obsessed to the point the final game she downed other people and still watched me in a locker with DS as she tried to tunnel lol.
In the end they never go me and the kills went 2,1,0 so I think they got tilted more each game.
Personally I haven't touched spirit since the change, never been a huge fan of playing her anyway

It's because it being a hex means there is a dummy totem that wastes more time
Take thrill with one other hex, there are 2 outcomes thril first or thrill last
With hex thrill that means
Thrill cleansed first for 28 seconds and other hex cleansed later for 14 seconds for a total of 42 seconds used
If the other hex is cleansed first it takes 28 seconds and they'll probably leave thrill be so a total of 28 seconds wasted
If thrill is a non-hex it will always take 28 seconds to cleanse the other hex.
Thrill with 2 other hexes
Hex thrill:
Thrill found first:
28 seconds for thrill 28 seconds for the other totems so 56 seconds in total to cleanse
Thrill found second
28 seconds for the first totem, 23.33 seconds for thrill and 14 for the last for a total of 65.33 seconds
Thrill found last and ignored
28 seconds for the first totem and 23.33 for the second for a total of 51.33 seconds
As a non hex it will always take 51.33 seconds
Thrill with 3 other hexes
Hex thrill
Thrill found first
28 seconds for thrill 42 seconds for the other totems so 70 seconds wasted in total
Thrill found second
28 seconds for first totem, 23.33 seconds for thrill and 28 for the remaining 2 means 79.33 seconds wasted total
Thrill found third
28 seconds for the first, 23.33 seconds for the second, 20 seconds for thrill and 14 for the last one means 85.33 seconds wasted total
Thrill found last and ignored
28 for the first, 23.33 for the second and 20 for the third for a total of 71.33 seconds wasted
As a non hex it's always 71.33 seconds
In almost all scenarios it's worse as a non hex. The change to lose it is more then made up for there being a dummy totem that also needs cleansing
The only time non hex thrill is better is with perks that create totems throughout the match like plaything or penti. And even then it's close as thrill also creates a hex they have to cleanse giving penti another target.
Yeah no... I get what you're saying but the fact you can lose thrill first is an issue.
I came here due to the other post, but you arent grasping the fact a non hex version will still affect every totem in the match. Means any totem that is cleansed or blessed takes longer and does not run the risk of being destroyed first.
Trill would be far more useful and beneficial as a non hex perk, yes it doesn't produce another hex but that's not what youd want the perk for

The extra totem means more time to cleanse everything.
I posted the math behind it in the other toth threat. In almost all scenario's it's worse. Just a case of the community not really thinking about what they are asking
No you arent understanding how the perk works. Having it as a hex is no bonus what so ever infact it only brings the bad side of if they get your thrill you now lose the perk.
0 benefit to it being a hex, hence why if it wasn't a hex its be better and I'd use it
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
I don't really understand why people want thrill to be a non-hex
Outside of plaything and penti that make totems during the match it's worse as a non hex then a hex
Thrill makes cleansing and blessing longer, but only if your hex stays up. Its effect really isnt that strong, thana can do the same thing but also affects gens.
Being able to use thrill and not lose it would be far better. Hit and run killer? Use thrill so they waste more time booning COH

So each killer does have their own MMR rating, however they can also share MMR ratings.
So if you have never played any killer before all your killers will be placed at X MMR rating, this is not 0 and is actually higher as the devs didnt want the ability of being good and beating bad players for a long time.
However if you have played just one killer (can be any) then all the other killers will gain a similar MMR rating to the one you have played minus a small amount. So if you have only ever played nurse and are max MMR nurse all other killers will be placed high too, (example: if nurse was 2000MMR, other killers could be 1700MMR even if you have never played them)
Big issue imo, it's why I'm hoping MMR naturally declines or forsnt share as much

Completely agree. There was nothing wrong with the new animations, and 360ing should not be a thing. But like most positive changes that come to the game, people just wanna cry to get it taken away. And I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like it's all the stuff that helps killers that gets taken away.
Well removing 360 would only help new or people with very low sensitivity which tend to be very casual players.
I personally just dont like the idea of it, I dont like seeing it, I dont like doing it. Just seems meh to me and I think animations will always suffer due to it.
I did see a 4k render of a SB (fan made) but that thing looked amazing

I don't take this game competitively but i hated the bone chill event, i stopped playing until it was over.
I was playing legion and survivors could just jump in snowmen to get rid of deep wound, making many add-ons useless.
I was playing ghost face, and whenever i marked a survivor, they would jump in a snowman, i would hit them, and then they would be healthy with no marked status effect.
I was playing twins and whenever i hit a snowman with victor survivors could just instantly crush victor.
They were not fun at all, they are literally just a "Haha, no" to so many mechanics that make the game what it is.
I'd rather they stick to events like the lunar event where everyone could pick up an envelope and get bp rewards and cosmetics. Events should bring players together.
If you notice I said there was issues with the winter event even stated certain killers, clearly that needs to be addressed.
From my events I came up with are any massively one sided? Or broken?
And I'm sorry just picking up a one time item per trial isnt really an event, I'm on about event that are both different and entertaining while still awarding the player. Alot of players get bored of DBD due to its repetitive nature.
Having about 5/6 events through the year even if they last 1 week splits up the base gameplay and keeps people interested or brings them back.
-
Why boobs and a belly button 😂
-
@some_guy1 said:
these small events you've mentioned wont provide the same amount of content you get from 6 new perks, one new killer and survivor and maybe a map
This is alongside the chapters, I just meant I'm not on about adding even more chapter per year than we already do.
We also rarely get a new map and survivor is just a skin. These events are just an idea to mix up the gameplay throughout the year. I know I'd certainly jump on for an actual Halloween event
-
1st I like cold wind, having different times of the day is great.
Tbh I'd like every map to have a day/night variant just to mix things up.
But alot of people dont like the dark maps, so many people complain about it and so many people use filters to brighten up the game anyway.
-
Most killers need new addons, I feel like the devs dont actually think outside the box or what could actually be useful.
I always feel alot of killers, even the new ones lack a depth to them and feel like they was just the quick thoughts and just went with them.
Addons should "add" something to the killers, theres so much potential to be had with any killer and I could easily come up with interesting addons for any killer
-
Seemed normal to me last time I used it, although I still need to learn all these new killer pickup animations lol
-
@Mr_K said:
You realise they are just spinning in one spot? There are many ways to hit them. Quick attack instead of lunging, take a step back instead of allowing them outside your fov, or just turn with them.
Nothing has changed with the new annimation btw. Survivors just relearned their timings with the new system.
No they changed the animations again to allow it. People didnt relearn anything as when the new animations first came out you couldn't 360 at all but then they edited and changed the animations again giving the ability to 360 again.
And I'm not complaining about not being able to hit it, just saying I preferred it
-
While I think rage quits should be even more heavily punished I'll just address the reset question.
I'm pretty sure (not 100%) that each level of the ban takes a day, so if you're on a tier 3 ban you need 3 full days of no DCs.
So if you have disconnected 10 times, youd have to wait 10odd days with no dc, if you went 7 days without a DC but then DC youd still get more than 5 mins as you haven't worked it down yet
-
@Mooks said:
Tip: if anyone does get "spun" or anyone struggles with this your sensitivity is likely to slow
*sobs in being a controller player*
i actually don’t remember how it was with the other animations, but the current situation just unfairly punished newbs and players on controller/lower sensitivity..
You can still up your controller sensitivity but I'm pretty sure it's near the max if you want to avoid all 360s.
But I agree it is kinda annoying being forced to play on a higher sensitivity then usual to avoid this, lucky this isnt a fps lol
-
@GeneralV said:
I don't really mind it, tbh. And, since I play with a controller, it is not unusual for me to get spun.
Probably need to up your sensitivity, common issue when using a controller as they can run around you faster than you're actually turning.
@DatFastBoi said:
They definitely did look better, but playing with them was a whole new level of pain
@Shroompy said:
I was a fan of the more fluid animations, at least the look of them
But the feel of them were just... not good
I didnt even mind them movement wise either tbh, I know the first time they every released there was issues but I think they took it too far back to the original now
-
Basically there will be something above you which you hit your head on or clip.
This started being more common after the map reworks, the most common and consistent one where you hit you head is the loop containing a crane (that big yellow thing which has its crane over some crushed stacked cars) and theres a pallets between the cars and big yellow vehicle.
Basically in this loop you hit your head on part of the crane while the survivors dont. Just something you have to learn sadly

I don't think the devs actually believe what they said about was the reason for keeping perk tiers.
My theory is that they don't do it because Perk tiers are probably hard coded(Aka easy to make but hard to change) into the game and would take a immense of effort to actually remove.
As we'd need 3 times as many perks as we have now for the grind to get back to where it currently is. Which with the release rate would take nearly a decade to reach. That's more then enough time to figure out a more permanent solution.
Oh yeah honestly wouldn't surprise me, I know for certain the coding has been done a certain way to where changing certain things would be a very long process.
So I cant imagine they would do anything that requires them start from the ground up. But like I said I'd rather earn BP faster than to have less stuff to buy
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
I don't think this will fix grind issues. Removing perk tiers is still best idea but BHVR said they have better solution? So we will see. "Soon" i guess.
Well it would certainly help abit. I do kind of side with the devs about the tiers, I wouldn't mind just 2 tiers (so imagine tier 2 didnt exist you just had a weak and stronger version)
If I could choose I'd rather a faster way to earn BP than less things to spend BP on. I like collecting my addons, offerings etc. Especially to create meme builds but removing tiers wont help with that

Tbh I disagree with the whole anti-tunneling part with ds. I see it more of perk that buys time if the killer decides to tunnel, cause if you ds the killer they might as well keep going for you as you just used your perk to buy time that they need to get back.
It depends tbh, I personally always use DS so I know I can remain in the trial. I hate games where it's over faster than my lobby times lol, plus i cant control my team so i may get farmed.
And it would depend, sometimes it can be smart to eat the DS if its early and then just move on especially if you arent a high mobility killer.
But like i said in another comment i dont get hit by DS when i play but it sure stops me getting tunneled out so early which just isnt fun imo

Thank you for explaining your point of view so eloquently :)
I disagree but in all fairness I don't have a lot of experience in the game, and actually do need to "get good" (as killer) xD so my opinion is subject to change and is very much biased ^^"
Well everyone is allowed an opinion, I'd never change that but I dont think perks should just be changed on opinion but more factual evidence.
The old DS definitely needed the nerf, but this current one I dont see an issue with as killer personally.
Maybe its because iv played since release so iv learned more timings and how to track things like DS. Dont think iv been hit by a DS unless iv actually tunneled, but some matches you have to risk it.
Alot in this game needs to change, especially on the survivors side I just dont think DS needs it
-
Wont catch many fish with this I'm afraid.
And if you're serious I apologise for the things you'll have to go through in the future, you should definitely main killer with it being so easy

I disagree. If you don't tunnel someone and just have fast good chase and then find that previous hooked person again... Why should you be punished for being effective?
The point of the perk is to stop you getting put back onto a hook until you have actively progressed the game through a gen, hooks save or even a heal. The survivor doesnt even have to fully complete the action they just need to tap it.
But having it the way suggest in the OP means you can actually abuse the mechanics to tunnel. Atm if it hasn't been 60seconds you just slug them, but if they tap a gen, heal or hook you can hook them.
Having it where it deactivates after you hook someone can be quite unfair, you cant control your team and how well they do. So not only can you be stuck with bad players due to a bad matchmaking but you can also be taken out the game super fast.
And what if the killer gets multiple downs? You can hook one, then when you hook the other the first loses his DS so you can basically full on tunnel someone.
Current DS helps a solo player have control on how quickly they can be hooked, most players dont wait 60seconds not doing anything and if they do easy game for you.
Perks like DS are great, perks like DH are not
-
Imagine being that childish you still insult people in a game.
Side point, I get far more hate as killer than I ever have as survivor. Its almost guaranteed to receive some form of hate, hell iv gotten hate for just playing certain killers.
I would say killer definitely takes more skill, mainly because it's a 4v1 and you physically have to manage far more info and the game is currently working on giving survivors even more info in the game for free.
The most skillful thing in DBD is using powers or making reads, while the reads things is more just a guess the powers is something you need to learn and changes every killer. But telling someone to get good because they arent as good or didnt win is just toxic childish behaviour
-
Nope, should stay as it is.
Its perfect atm.
-
No, the idea of the game is to work as a team and not to be able to do everything yourself with a huge efficiency.
It would also cause huge issues especially for hit and run killers, but I think selfcare is for those players starting out who arent comfortable being injured.
If you want selfcare to be better use another perk to combo with it, resilience (allows you to do gens faster if you 99 yourself so the efficiency isnt as bas or something like botany which has 33% healing.
Selfcare still has its uses and can combo with many others, so many perks out there dont have that and are worse.
If anything the mangled should make healing slower, atm it's only 20% and just botany can counter it but buffing sloppy is similar to buffing selfcare and could definitely create some unhealthy gameplay
-
Someone will still fap to this, we know you're there...
Yes, you -.-

You know eu has 2 servers, one German one london.
So theres alot of places using these two servers and that can cause alot of issues regardless.
But thos has been brought up many times in the past I'm afraid so I doubt more servers will ever be added
-
The biggest issue I see is everyone knows what's happening isnt good at all and alot of people are suffering.
However asking for stuff like this can come across as you using what's going on to get free stuff and some others would use it to get attention/likes.
No doubt what is happening is bad, and I'm sure you have good intentions but you have to think of all the angles that can happen. If BHVR did this, while it's nice I'm sure theres many other world issues that would feel left out.
Theres alot of bad in the world, if anything we should show support to all of them but the amount of things out there itd be hard for BHVR so I get why companies stay out of it

MMR is weird anyway. When i play killers i never play, i have strong survivor teams. Or when i play Nem or Nurse (My strong killers), i have baby teams sometimes. So it is still rng like old matchmaking.
Well alot of things can impact the people you verse, but yeah that RNG factor is the annoying part lol. Doesn't really matter on your skill but their efficiency.
The shared SBMM certainly doesnt help matters, I just hope the new killer is decent with the changes and I dont verse people too efficient

You don't need that, all you need +2 pip. And +2 pip is easy on low ranks. So after rank resets, adept killer is really not hard. It was harder before.
Hooks is an emblem though, it's like 9 hooks for an iridescent emblem in that category. I do know exactly what the emblems are and what I need to do but that's what I had an issue with last time.
I just checked my old post (for artist adept) and I was getting 10hooks 3k almost consistently but it was the speed of the gens which physically made it impossible.
I know at ash 4 its easier, but with questionable perks that arent very strong its basically just luck if I verse people that dont do gens lol (and that's mega rare)
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Adept killer is not even challange anymore, after rank reset it is so easy.
Yeah people say that but when you need 9+hooks and a 4k but not to kill them too fast it can be.
I never use to have an issue until SBMM got added but when I was doing the artist adept the gens was going so fast it hurt my emblems too much even if I got the 9+hooks
-
It's not even just the visual look, it hurts my ears like crazy as well.
But yeah no reason this cant be patched out tbh, would be a nice little patch
-
The sabo should just be made faster and make it so the cool down doesn't trigger if you dont fully sabo a hook.
I do sabo saves quite often, but I never use the perk as a brown toolbox can do exactly the same thing without a cool down.
Feel like I'm the only one to do sabo saves anymore :(

I have a lovely Korek charm that gives me infinite durability on all my weapons.
I can also use the force to choke people or shoot them.
Plus there's a great Slipknot reference.
That reference really did make me happy lol.
And that charm is very useful I have to admit, sadly I cant find a level 9 two handed blade :(
-
At least the female killers tend to be a better tier than male killers (not all obviously)
-
Who?
-
If you do it right theres barely any animation or time wasted.
It also stops bloodwarden and gives your whole team time to get ready for whatever you are facing.
Maybe it's an issue with players not as good (we call them casuals because we cant say bad) as they take more time to actively adjust to what needs to be done.
I personally would always rather the gates 99, and it's been the far better option 99.99% of the time (99 lol) but nah seriously it would just depend on your team.
Having a timer to heal up, group up and get a save from a killer can sometimes take abit and if the gates are far its likely someone else will go down but with 99 it allows you to reset the process until you're all out or you lose 1 player.
People that open the gate tend to leave straight away or tend to be more scared of leaving the open door to help
-
Corrupt, NOED, Bamboozle and X
Use chilli and X (forget the name of the other)

Ah a suicidal rugby tackle lol
-
Only perk that's needs adjusting is DH (its distance needs to be nerfed)
Other than that no other perks are really strong, alot of maps could do with balancing from removing pallets on the game to making some maps smaller.

Lobby times, platform, server, time you play and how long have you played DBD?
These are alot of things can could affect the outcome, I'm sure alot of people would like to know.

@emodeshort said:
I always see people saying they're on the "high end of MMR" to justify whatever argument they're making, but that's literally impossible to know. A more appropriate argument would be "I play a lot, and I have a good kill/escape rate, heres what I have to say" But saying you're in the high end of mmr doesn't make sense, you don't know if you are, and you don't even know what that high end would be and looks like to begin with since theres so little input about how this system actually works
Very simple.
If you 3k or escape far more than you die or get a 1k then you will be climbing the SBMM.
Do we know exact numbers? No but that doesnt matter when the game uses a soft cap of 1900.
If you dont know what a softcap is then basically it's the max mmr the game will use for matchmaking, so even if you're mmr 2500 the game would still class you as 1900 just for matchmaking and lobby times purposes.
Therefore if you win most of your games or a much higher % then you are likely to be high mmr. It's not a complex system like the devs claimed that one stream.
Will some people lie? Sure, but you can usually tell via their arguments and thought process. Even if people knew what they was they can still lie on the forums, people always have with any game.
The SBMM isn't very good anyway, especially for matchmaking and soon enough the high mmr (1900) will be filled with bad players again, even if it's a year it will happen, just like the old system.

No, seriously. I have tried non campy Bubba as well. Quite insistently, not just a couple games. And sure against a potato team he will do fine, but as soon as you start going a bit higher (you don't even need death squads, just competent) he just becomes unviable. Hold W and stringing vaults just counters him so hard that there is no wining. I mean I'm no God killer but I think I'm competent enough and when I play several matches with the clear impression that there was very little I could do differently that would change the result, even I have to admit that's disheartening and not fun.
I dunno bubba is a pretty good killer, like sure hes not the best but he is far better than most.
I would say he definitely has maps that can hurt him (alot of killers do) but the main issue with bubba is how much he needs bamboozle and his addons (chilli and the one that makes you move faster)
