It'd b a good cross promotion and it wouldn't b the first time they have done that. And no nothing RE related if there was then we probably wouldn't b asking for nemesis lol
I am not sure about it, the way i remember capcom they will be heavy on skins and mts for resistance. Just doesnt make sense to have him available in another game. I guess we will wait and see ( i wait anyway for dmc 6 and dmc 5 SE).

I mean, nobody is more critical of BHVR than me, but the guy above me is right. Everyone who posts here saying they are done are doing it for attention and were probably reinstalling 30 seconds after hitting the "POST COMMENT" button.
If this would be the case the playercount would be much higher, up to 10 million owners and only 20-30k playing consecutively. Enough people do leave the game.

I'd love to see this and I've had a mate recommend that I say something about adding them, but my question about this always remains the same:
What will his power be?

They tried that. It was called "Operation Racoon City". It flopped hard.
There was another one as well, but that went even worse and i can't remember it's name.
Sure but do you see anything RE related in dbd? Thing is they would be fools to "support" a direct competitor of them. We do not speak of "Operation Racoon City". :)

I can do one of these for every killer, but 90% of them will be about the people who play them.
And FFS, I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH VIABLE KILLERS. I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH LOW EFFORT KILLERS GETTING HIGH REWARDS.
I acknowledge that there are high-skill Billies, but that is the ceiling, not the floor.
That is the thing you know? He isn't low effort in the slightest, billy is high risk and high reward. You either can curve or you can not, this varies with the tiles on the map and etc... when you do it is great and there is few things that are as rewarding when you do curve a loop correctly and get that hit.
The thing is billy doesn't get low effort downs against good survivors so that is where you whole thing falls apart.

Here's my counter arguement:
If the developers are survivor sided and doesn't care about killers, then why does statistics show otherwise? Killers are above their 2K standard for the developers with the lowest killer being an average of 2.4Ks of all red rank matches.
As I mentioned in my previous comment, Freddy's rework made him one of the strongest killers in the game.
I don't see any survivor bias here nor killer bias, the developers are just making changes where they see fit — not because they want their favorite role to be OP. 😁
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/768/6ODGJMZJA4GR.jpg
But sure, let's pretend the developers don't care about killers. Didn't make changes that benefit both sides, and act like the game is still how it was in 2016.
You can't keep using the developers past as a way to say the developers are survivor biased, obviously the developers in 2016 and the developers present day are two completely different set of people. :P
Your counterargument is lacking. The statistics you chose don't represent red ranks at all, they only do display red ranked killers, yes even vs green survivors that game will be counted as red ranks. This was confirmed btw so yeah. Take the other stats if you want to use them at all.

I can loop. I don't need to learn.
Can I loop like Noob, Monto or Odz? No. And I never will.
So stop coming to me with this logical falliacy. I am tired of hearing it. It has no constructive merit and is only used as a stalling tactic or something to derail serious conversation.
Ah okay hard to believe cause billy can be looped and there is nothing really special to it aside from checking on him, if he goes for a curve, mindgame so I really do not understand why you do have any issues with him.
Nobody needs to be any of the one you did mention in order to escape from billy in dbd. 🤷
-
That change was not needed at all.
They only did achieve that the game became even more boring and easy as survivor. Escape does not feel like a reward at all.

I'm a killer main but play survivor with a group. We are all red rank 1 survivors or have been at some time, so there isn't anyone better than any of us. We're all as good as it gets, as many players are.
None of us escaped a single match tonight and that has become a very common occurrence. In fact, of the last 10 times we have played, I'd say we have escaped maybe 2 or 3 matches out of the last 10 days of playing.
It's extremely rare.
And we are in party, coordinated, and as good as it gets, so I can't imagine where these killers are that think the game is hard.
I am a killer main and there are a number of killers I cannot use because they're so OP I feel guilty.
Michael, Freddy, Leatherface, Trapper, Oni. In all fairness hillbilly is op, too but I enjoyhim so much that I play him anyway.
As a killer, I see just how OP the killers are and I can't understand why killers complain. Of my group, we are all killer mains who only play survivor together and we unanimously agree the game is waaay too easy for killers and waaay too hard for survivors.
Almost very game we play as killer or survivor is 4k, so where are these killers who are having such a hard time? As much as I despite the phrase "git gud", with as much as the game gives killers advantage, I can't help but think if you're having a hard time, you need to work at it.
And when a new killer is released, it should take you AT LEAST a solid week of daily playing to get a 4k. The Oni was 4ks on his first day.
What happened to working? Practicing. Try watching games as survivor after you die.
We wish we could get paired up with these killers who have trouble but all we get is 4k killers. Usually toxic and the devs enable it and do nothing to prevent it.
Kill all 4 survivors in the basement in one round. Gee, that's not going to inspire camping.
I love this game, but it is bittersweet.
It comes with such anger and frustration. The injustice of already OP killers resorting to exploits, shady tactics, and unsportsmanlike behavior is a constant strain.
This game has actually profoundly hurt my perception of humanity. Granted it's all happening during MAGA days and Trump's horde of bigots, but all I see every day is how selfish the average human is.
No respect for others
No consideration
Just selfishness.
It's dark.
I have noticed I'm not as happy when I play this.
And I love it so I really wish the devs would discourage that bullshit.
It's an epidemic.
When a group of redrank 1 survivors play for hours without anyone escaping and it goes on for days... There's something wrong.
What I don't get is why our experience is all the same as eachother but so different than you.
You are the very reason why SWF do not have the escape rate they should have. Yikes.

It never stops does it. This entitlement and persecution complex.
Players - specifically killer mains - have been complaining over and over and over again about the stale survivor meta perks. Seeing the same 4 perks game after game after game.
The developers buff some weaker perks to bring them into use, hopefully to bring some variety to the perks survivors are using and the first thing killer mains say is...
”why do only survivor perks get buffed?? I knew it you prfioritize survivors!!”
Yeah that is how they shaked up the killer meta too, oh no wait they did not adress any issues before making changes, if even any changes come to the meta perks for survivors, the same thing would be literally trashing the meta perks to deja vu levels and making vague statements of monitoring the situation lul.

My only problem with The Hillbilly is about his movement with the chainsaw. He can just go from one side of the map to the other, very fast, with no real cooldown period. This, paired with chilly, for example, makes him a very good killer, but no other killer can do that. Sure, Freddy can teleport to gens or Demo can use portals, but both of them have cooldowns and are tied to something, while Hillbilly is not. I would either shorten the distance he can travel with the chainsaw or put a cooldown on it, but the second option would actually impact his hits on a chase, so I think shorten the distance would be a better choice.
Tell me how many counters to bbq are in the game? Literally potatoes telling billy where to go doesnt make him good and just survivors bad.

Well better take this to bhvr devs and explain why billy is totally op. I don't know why but maybe has something to do with people being in ranks where they do not belong. You will ofc object to this and say this has been the superduper topskill of the game, i doubt it.

I don't like the ruin change, it's a blatant nerf to the hex that will render it mostly useless like all other hexes beyond the insta down hexes. Thankfully, I am not a trash killer and don't use it anyway.
However, it's been great hearing about the killers dropping ranks because they can't keep up with the pace of the game at red ranks. It's about time they dropped into the ranks they deserve to play in.
Hopefully now, when I load into a trial as survivor, I get a killer that can actually play, rather than lazily rely on a totem to do all the hard work for them.
Also, I am going to love it as killer, as I will be completely unaffected by the change, like I was with every other change to nurf killers, why? Because killers are overpowered. The only chance survivors have, is with 4man swf, and even then, they get squished most the time. If you're not capable of that as killer, then enjoy the purple/green ranks or even playing some other game 👍
xD
I finish games in 5mins with the pre nerf ruin. Spoken again like a true rank 15.

I was irritated that you guys did not even bother to state how you consider the perspective of killers that did use ruin even after all that backlash and just go on from the perspective of bad survivors. Like most of the toxic feedback was rooted exactly there and you do not talk about it.
-
I think they are too long. New
playerssurvivor players can not be bothered to sit a minute at a gen, we should lower them to 40sec just to make sure they do have fun repairing those gens. Or maybe one great skillcheck and it completes a gen completely, they are soooo hard to hit. -

I wrote a thing on bug fixes before.
They're not as simple as everyone makes it out to be. Some bugs are easier to fix than others.
If you had to make a priority list on what bugs you should focus on it would probably look like this (Descending)
-Perks
-Killer Powers
-Items/addons
-Large Visual bugs / Map bugs
-Sound
-Minor bugs
Some of the things you have mentioned are far and few in between. Nurse can't be played on a map? Uh, where? Why? Because she struggles a lot on it? That could be said on any killer. Myers Stalk bug is one that doesn't happen often, so it's hard to find, it's not a common bug. The problem might not even lie with Myers, but portions of the map. Sound bugs and visual bugs are amongst the hardest to resolve, look it up. (This was also why it took them a while to fix the basement hook bug that perma crippled survivors).
Behavior does not have a large development team. Debugging is more of a side thing that maybe one or two people focus on here and there. But the team has a project, they work on it, then immediately jump to the next.
People were pissed because their main crutch was changed. The large portion of the negative feedback was extremely toxic. Yet, you still had people on the killer side that were quite satisfied with the new update. Behavior does listen to it's community, but the community can be pretty demanding
So perks over powers yeah? Okay yeah sure dude, while a survivor can play just fine even when a perk doesn't work we should give higher priority to the perk. I mean ######### that ######### that a killer can not use his power, have to fix crutches before we like basic stuff of the game.
Why should I care how challenging/easy it is to fix some bug? Why would I care about that? It is their job that the product they sell works, I honestly do not see any reason why me or anybody else should care about it whether it was super easy or super hard to fix. I mean pls explain me why i should care about it.
I also like that you put sound at the bottom of the list, seems like it is at the bottom of the list for bhvr as well. I mean as long as only killer suffer from it, i mean imagine tr gone for all killers... that probably take a few days and it is fixed. Killers? well #########'em that they can not hear footsteps/breathing/moaning whatever.
I said nurse could not be played on "sanctum of wrath" and not struggle so spare me your assumption about killers struggling in general due to god awful designed maps. The entire map basicly was a deadzone, if you do not know what it is, look it up. She was reduced to a 97% killer on that map, check the bugsection nmcke did explain it in full length.
I have to wonder why you do not answer to the part of ruin being used in 45% of games and that the majority of games were played without ruin? I mean it baffles me, they make the announcement (not giving a ######### about killers at all, their perspective and everything) a week later they state something about being able to gather data for gen speeds without ruin cause it was used so much. It is strange right? Majority of games is played with ruin, yet we need to remove the perk in order to get good data. Okay what about toolboxes and the other perks messing up the data about gen speeds? How come they do not show up, fyi i dont care whether it is about prove thyself or dying light/thanatophobia??? I mean they do affect gen times too, yet this is not a problem quite odd but ok.
Crutch? Since when is ruin a crutch kiddo? Even with ruin up the gates could be easily powered within 5minutes. So how was it a crutch? Please explain that part to me. I assume the only people calling it a crutch are the ones who are as bad as people with 10hrs in the game unable to hit a great skillcheck. Who exactly on the killer side was positive about this ruin change? Even people who argued for nerfs of specific killers like scottjund told behaviour what a dumb change this was in a very polite and constructive way. The only people i see "on the killerside" posting that it is a good change were people in disguise, suddenly everywhere some godlike killers did pop up ( oh i play doc in red ranks and always 4k like 99,999999% of my games cause all killers totally super op). LuL who believes those people? Who can take this garbage serious when you do not see a single doc in months in red ranks prior to the "rework". People argueing so borderline dumb that only a newbie can not see the bullshit they spill.
Meanwhile for reality we have survivor mains who asked if bhvr is sure about the ruin nerf, making videos to show how dumb it is. Not just talking garbage on the forums about crutches and how op all killers are but actually just playing games and finishing them ~5-6 minutes while not even gen rushing.
The community can be demanding yeah true, maybe it would not be so demanding if they actually treated people equally. Actually care about veterans of the game and not made-up newbie problems and adress the ######### that they really keep them from playing the game you know like when you check steam/metacritic, people drop the game not because of op perks but other check it yourself i do not bother to call them out on the bullshit anymore.

@Raptorrotas said:
So killers get/should get measured by their true raw potential while it's just been brazenly announced the game is being changed for potatoes not hitting greats skillchecks?
You know the true raw potential of survivivors? Even without items, they can outdo most killers with addons. EZ-ly even.
Additionally: its downright stupid how many people dismiss the added cooldown as nothing big. Imagine survivors forced to crouch for a second every 5 seconds lol
I told him/her why he/she should look at the power for what it is and not for the potential. If you do look at the potential, bubba is the only SSSSSSSSS Tier, cause he could potentially down all survivors with a single use of his power yet we all do know how likely this is to occur.
Personally i despise this double standard, i also made a question for the stream. Watch it being ignored i asked why approach balance for nuse for around 0,1% of players (realisticly even less) while survivors can not be bothered to learn how to hit great skill checks.

@Aura_babyy said:
This will mostly be directed to the Killer mains who have preven to be the most upset, as the outcry has snowballed from actual feedback to just plain nonsensical insulting.
*Survivors whined about Spirit and Nurse and they were gutted!
- Yes, they were. Nurse and Spirit had the highest Kill ratio in the game, coincidentally, it was mostly because of ridiculously powerful addon combinations that just pretty much guaranteed you a win even if you were a potato.
*Survivors cried about Ruin constantly and that is why it was nerfed to the ground. You can hardly have a good match as a killer now because of gens going too quick. And some Killers needed Ruin in order to have a slight chance at the game ie. Clown!
- Actually, Ruin was mostly complained about by both sides in amounts that are almost parallel to one another. Killers would complain that, A) Ruin was gone so early in the game. Or B) Good Survivors would just power through it, making it an useless perk against them. Survivors on the other hand complained about it's use in almost all of the games they played, and was a heavy punishment perk for mid to higher ranks ( most notably Console). As for Killers that "need" Ruin to get something out of a match, These are just Killers that should be the next target for reworks. I do not count Trapper and Hag as a Killer that needs Ruin though. They have extremely powerful late game potential and should make the most of it.
*Killers are the only ones to get nerfed, Ruin gets gutted and Survivors still have DS, BT, Adrenaline, and Keys!.
- This is such an ignorant thing to say and you should never look at things for events that happen within a month - 3 month span. When Ruin was nerfed, hysterical killer mains fail to see what the future may hold and completely dismissed logical thought that changes to GENS or MAPS or how survivors INTERACT with gens would be introduced in due time. BHVR had made it known that with the changes to Ruin, they would be able to collect proper data and see where their focus should be at seeing as the players all have different opinions on it. By the by, if you take DS statistics and times it by X4, there is absolutely no way it should reach a margin of 45% use in ALL GAMES, Which was Ruin's percentage. Don't ignore what the devs could possibly be trying to achieve here.
*Devs are Survivor biased. No doubt about it.
- Okay. This is a bit of an oddball one. This seems to change whenever each side is nerfed and the claims start to shift depending on what gets nerfed. In recent posts, a lot of people and some notable streamers have said that devs are really survivor biased. Now, the most common people you see from the BHVR team on the forums is @Peanits and @Almo . Whatever they post or respond to almost always seemed to be flagged as survivor biased or incompetency (being rude to someone who hasn't with you is what this was). I can assure anyone who bothered reading this that it is most likely not the Intention of these 2 lovely people to convey themselves as favoring one side. Could they change up their posts a bit so it is more polished and maybe cue in the playerbase as to more in the why and what the future plan is with an update is? Of course they can. But these are people, like us, that make mistakes and are not perfect or omniscient. We should also take note and remember that whatever Almo and Peanits say does not reflect the views of all of the development team. This is far too common of a bad habit, and we should look at past history as to why it's bad. Racial Stereotypes that were frowned upon and we managed to move past as a society is a good example as to why it's bad to place labels like we are doing now.
Anyway, Casing point... Can we PLEASE stop going at each other's throats, witch hunting the devs, and cursing those that wanna improve the game by just playing it and making constructive feedback?
I know it's too much to ask for people to leave behind the sarcasm and insults. This is not a thread meant to be provocative.
And for a different topic to think about while you are here. What's your favorite cookie? Mine are Oreos, they're devilishly tempting and I absolutely love them, goes great with any kind of milk.
When I read that somebody believes a bs statement about gen speeds or maps than I do not know what to say. ruin was used in 45% of all games, thus 55% of all games didn't have ruin.
I am sure that even tho the majority of games have been played without ruin, that was just simply not enough data provided to make any adjustments regarding gens or maps. You know what? This statement was made in an attempt to lessen the backlash which was received about a week after the announcement to ruin was made and it is the very reason why it wasn't included in the announcement itself. Damage control.
Yeah just remove and trash the perk, because maybe in a future not to far away bhvr will have a look at core issues of the game. Oh please, i do understand every person that had enough of this goddamn bias the whole time. DS is bugged? Oh we gotta fix it asap people, do not worry. Well sound is bugged? Yeah we are looking into it. Nurse can not be played on map? Oh yeah well mhm, ok. Myers stalking is broken, you can not stalk people even tho there is no obstacle between you / survivor? Oh yeah right after sound is fixed.
If you do honestly not understand why people are pissed, there is nothing i can probably say to make you understand.

I define strength in terms of raw potential, not in terms of how that potential is realised on particular maps. I don't and never have ignored the fact that Nurse suffers on maps like Sanctum of Wrath, I just don't take external variables into account when assessing the strength of a killer.
I also didn't mention anything about balance, so I'm not sure why you're talking as though you're refuting one of my points in that last sentence of your comment.
No everybody that got this map as nurse was a joke. The killer is bugged, alot of bugs that bhvr didn't fix with the rework i mean why bother to fix that? I really do not quite understand why you want to define strength outside of what it is, the killer is bugged so awful that on a map you will simply lose by default. The power comes with ups and downs, you have to consider both. Currently nurse is slamming it at 43% killrate something, looks frightening to everyone.
No amount of skill, hours or whatever will help anybody playing this killer. But for some reason it is about the right hands and not whether or not bhvr will at some point fix the killer.
-
@Fibijean said:
Basically, it's because most people tend to go for the option that provides maximum payoff for minimum effort. Even though Nurse, played to mastery, is still the strongest killer in the game, there are several others who are almost as strong that are much easier to master, and most people care more about winning the game than they do about mastering it. The only reason to learn Nurse is for the personal satisfaction of having mastered the strongest and most difficult killer in the game, and/or just because you find her gameplay so enjoyable that you don't mind the learning curve.
People like you completely ignore that this killer has a map that completely eliminates her power because she can not use it on the map. Aw you got oni map? Well too bad for you because this map is/was filled with deadzones where it is near impossible to blink correctly.
If that is how you define strongest killer, okay.
Meanwhile I haven't seen a single nurse that was able to offer even a little challenge. The killer has simply no rewards for learning how to play the killer. Also if skill had anything to do with balance approaches well might want to consider the slight adjustments of nurse compared to "it is too difficult to hit great skillchecks :(".

Compared to ruin, it's definitely not a wasted perk slot 😂 yes, when they get unhooked, it's further time wasted as they go find their toolbox... but you know, that doesn't matter right? Time wasted against gen rushers! But hey, point to the forum posts where you see me crying about a scenario you guys seem to say happens all the time.. to you! Why would I make a twitch account? Do any of that? I play for fun, not to show off. Not my fault you suck as a killer and need to get help from content streamers 😂 Git Gud! Learn to apply pressure! Stop camping and tunnelling! Try other perks! Learn how ######### ruin was and adapt to become a better killer, learning what most great killers did when we stopped using ruin.
You got it wrong, i am the one doing it with friends to others. There are a handfull of killers capable to play a game flawless, none of them have I seen with franklin's nor overcharge. I haven't used ruin since PGTW appeared in the shrine. Ruin is a lazy and mostly terrible perk/hex. At red ranks, survivors play through it, it gets found almost immediately or doesn't last longer than 60 secs before it does go in most games, so why would i run it? At least with pop, I get to control how the game goes, add overcharge and I am doing better than ruin ever could.
I don't use spirit, nurse, Freddy, Billy etc, it's just too easy with them, there's little survivors can do against them to help them win, other than hope the killer is another rank 10 pip sweater.
Yes, the idea that almost all your games end in gen rush, is too a pics or it didn't happen scenario....
Without a doubt, there's too many potatos in red ranks, both killer and survivor. There's a rank ceiling, that everyone can hit over time, which is why ranking needs to be completely overhauled.
I hate playing against potato swf squads, just because they're communicating, doesn't increase their ability to play. I absolutely love the strong SWF teams , that come in with a plan and strategy, unfortunately theyre few and far between, but these games I certainly feel pushed, which is great fun compared to the boring rank 10s that just sweat the game into red ranks.
When i play survivor, it's reconfirmed, if I solo queue, the killer almost always wins, if I double team I have a better chance, 3 man we can annoy the killer, 4 man is about even, sometimes we make the killer look like a rank 10 pip sweater sometimes we get raped by the 3rd gen.
I love the part where you explain how survivors work through ruin, yet are unable to deal with overcharge. What ranks are you playing yellow?

You said that so polite, props to you.

How are those numbers real? Youd think at least half the community wouldve hit rank 1 on at least 1 side.
Well you need to consider how many owners the game has, since there have been several free2play weekends and such this number is pretty high and varies from 5million up to 10million. I can't have a closer look because I do not have a steamspy account, nor do i support it on patreon.
However if you look at 5 than that would be 200k people and for 10 it would be 400k..
Given the game is played by 20k +- it is ok.
It is kinda interesting that even more people hit rank 5 survivor than rank 10 killer lol.

This actually hurts to say this, but I'm done. Completely.
I played this game relentlessly at one point because it helped me out of a dark spot in my life. It sounds dumb, I know, I'm sorry. I defended it when they did things, but after a few updates, posts, even their Behaviour it made hit my limit. This game went from being my all time favorite game that all my friends and I enjoyed, to.. something I can't even bare to play for five minutes. I'm sorry, but I can't deal with it any longer. I asked a question on their Q&A and it got deleted. That annoyed me. Someone made a post about a hacker, a moderator told him to not use this feed and closed the discussion. I get why. But that was just cruel. I highly doubt they did anything either. So, again. I think I'm done, I won't be surprised if this post gets deleted, closed, or moved.
Behaviour, I am going to miss the fun I had, but now it just... feels awful..
What was your deleted question?

I've heard, my point being that somehow only 4% of people have the achievement on steam. Frankly, Id have assumed it would be MUCH higher even without the bug.
Yes this is for real, check killer it is even less.
2,3%

i did post a steam charts
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/410/VOOVJO2NTG8Y.png
look. i never claimed the game is gonna die. i just said that the player base is not realy growing since release of the game. it always drops back to 20k because the devs fail to keep the new players. i give the fault to the realy bad match making the ultra long q on low ranks and many bad design choises even though they balance the game around rank 15s.
Well you know instead of making ######### up about why they need to change something be honest about it. New players do have other issues than ruin but whatever, check steam or metacritic.

What's your issue?
Desperate for any kind of human attention, simple as that.
To answer @Dr_Loomis probably sad about it but also relieved.

Then why is he labelled as an "EASY" killer to play, where as someone like Doctor is labelled "HARD"? Shouldn't those labelled "HARD" require more mechanical skill, and therefore be more rewarding/powerful? THIS is the main point of my argument.
Yes, a lot of Spirit's power is in the mind game, but that is due to how her power is based. Myers, Plague, Pig, Freddy, Trapper and Hag all require some level of resource management.
There are respectable Billies out there, but I've faced so many that his image is permanently tainted, but it does not influence the bias of what I am saying. I never supported the Devs with Nurse changes, but I understood why they needed to happen. I supported the Devs in their Spirit changes, with body collision and Prayer Beads because they were a necessary change.
And I personally find that curving Billy's saw is more about reading your opponent, and the occasional good weave, rather than mechanics.
Can we both agree though that we'd all rather see a good Hillbilly than one of those obnoxious camping Leatherfaces, though? I hate him way more than Hillbilly.
Well go figure why, doctor has/d a lackluster power which did not help him really in chases or to an amount that it is really viable which probably is the reason why I didn't see a single doc for months.
His power was so bad that even when he used it, there was an empty field in front of him so he would miss because reasons i guess. Also the fact that in order to prevent a vault, the survivor could not be locked in animation so when the shock arrives a little bit too late, survivor will scream during the vault but can still vault. Will see how things are now that he doesnt need to switch stances anymore.
Docs power is/was very addon dependant, like you could have completely diffrent effects depending on the addons used.
Compare that to billy, even when the player is not able to play with the power he will is able (on certain maps) to traverse the map and have map pressure, something every killer needs badly. His addons are quite straightforward. Simple&Good.
Trapper is labeled as easy too but i doubt that noobs are able to perform well with him. In order to perform well with trapper, you need to have a strategy, deny loops etc.. how should a noob know that?
Also the ratings (easy/intermediate/hard) do not really express mechanical skill required in order to play the killer but rather to learn to use the power effectively.
Oh and if you think billy is easy to learn, just pick him up, this also something i always do recommend for people who struggle against a certain killer. Play the killer and see what other people do against you because sooner or later you will find people that can play well against him (might take a while with the amount of potatoes).

Dude that was the most recent satistics... and even in the red ranks
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/910/6KD3I8P3L1V9.png
he is only #3 so both freddy and spirit both out preform him so he is in fact by any metric #1.
Actually you should use all ranks since the red ranks stats only require a red rank killer who can play against green survivors and it will count in this statistic which is why killers have a higher kill rate there.

Did I forget to physically write the IMPLIED "Compared to other killers"?
And yes, I acknowledge curving. Also, no I will not play in red ranks. I am not that sweaty. I am talking about chainsawing someone who is 5m in front of you.
There are simply no other killers aside from billy / nurse where any mechanical skill is required whatsoever.
Funny, that you do not want to play in red ranks.. i mean why? According to you he doesn't require any mechanical skill so just chainsaw everybody 5m infront of you. Should take you 3-4 min per game.
Even compared to other killers, he requires more mechanical skill than others aside nurse.
-
I stopped reading when you wrote requires no mechanical skill because that is where you are wrong. Hillbilly is next to nurse the only killer which do require any sort of mechanical skill in the game to begin with.
Curving is something you will have to learn for tiles etc.. since you claim it is so easy to do and there is no requirement, i suggest you play now 50 matches in red ranks. You go 4k each game, only use the saw. Record and upload.

But again....the Billys are the same rank or lower.
Billy does DESTROY the low ranks. I remember that from old rank resets. When anyone can pick him up at low ranks and 4 man 5 gen so easily theres a problem.
Even if these current red/purple ranks are boosted they should be doing better against green rank billys.
Dude you know you checkmated yourself, you explained earlier that you looped billy so long he did give up on the chase... so if billy is so unbalanced you shouldnt be able to do that? The fact that your teammates went down just tells that they are bad at the game.
Ranking up as survivor is easy, too easy, put in swf and voila you have your solo q rollercoaster.
My suggestion to you is, get 3 friends and play swf, they should be kind of similar to your skill. Make a few games against billy and draw your conclusions. Even without voice -> swf you usually know the people and that you can rely on them to not drop like a fly.

Iceborne
Probably till RE3 comes out, than i can check for RE Resistance if that is any fun and that predator game.

I can see this is going over your head.
The whole topic is the concept of GOOD meaning STRONG killers in this context.
Was Mettle of Man a good design? No. However was it strong? Very much so.
So although it was good (read strong) for one side, it was unfair and unfun for the other.
This is what is being evaluated and discussed with killers. Complaining about something people unfun isn’t the same as complaining about something they find strong. Again Freddy is a good example. Most people didn’t complain about the killer they complained about a specific build on the killer that sucked the fun out of the game.
But i disagree with the part where you state it was good, it was broken af. Most people knew that it was just that and bhvr were told that it is just exactly that and they went ahead with it anyway so more people would buy the dlc because otherwise you miss out on the ez pz bully fun.
The equivalent of MoM is not freddy but old legion, before release bhvr again were told that this is not a good idea, at least that is how i remember it.
Also it completely depends on the person, some people care about winning others do not, some actually care about the balance of the game.

your comment is very hypocritical considering how youve posted multiple discussions about hating on BHVRs idea of balancing to make the game more fun for survivors.
Than you should check again, i hate the idea of catering to new players who do not have the knowledge to form an opinion based on facts. Why bother with the opinion of a person that has 20hrs in the game, has no clue about anything? Yeah right that is the opinion and input we need.

But that was the point.
Was it good? Yes
Was it extremely unfair? Yes
Killers didn’t complain just because it was strong, it was also the fact that it felt completely unfair to play against.
Not it was not good it was broken af. Yes survivor gets rewarded for losing a chase, good concept.
