Gear head and Trail of torment for killer
For survivor it’s always been solidarity and second wind
I absolutely love Solidarity. I've always been using that before the resident evil chapter came out
-
Oh that perk is a pain, but in a good way.
I love it both as a killer and survivor.
It's such a nice mind game perk haha

Yeah, it's so good

I got nothin against the guy. It’s a issue of all dbd content creators that their fans will blindly follow their ideas of balance in the game.
That's fair

I hate to do the stereotypical thing of just regurgitating what Scott Jund says. But he is entirely right that the games where you lose 3 gens in 1 chase are because of survivor spawns.
Ugh... Scott... I really don't like him, but I will admit one thing. He gets some decent ideas once in awhile, but ugh... Scott..

I use Eruption + Surge, myself. If I catch that survivor, it's -14% immediately, plus collateral.
Surge is nice, but I always go against smart survivors so I never get too much use out of it

I’d just rather they make the effects of shroud of union basekit and force all survivors to spawn together. And also don’t make survivors spawn with gens in spitting distance
Also a great suggestion

@Thr_ust said:
something does need to be done at some point but increasing the amount of time survivors have to just hold a button wouldn’t do much besides make doing gens even more boring
I said it before and people looked at me like I was high. Just rework the skill check system, it's so pointlessly easy, and great skull checks are just children's play
-
I'll never forget it.
It was the game and I was hiding in a locker as Tapp. Survivors were dying left and right and I had no idea what was going on. I was so scared, but I sat and waited.
Then I saw him. In all his glory, a Hillbilly dropped down, pulled me out of my locker and moried me dead center of the bathroom.
On that day forward, I'd promise I'd honor his legacy by using Crypress Moris

Dead Hard is a legit crutch for survivors so I didn't argue it. What, am I supposed to argue on behalf of all things survivor now? Because I don't think DS and NOED are equals?
I think it's just silly, this arguing back and forth when we're almost equal.
Then I get berated by you because you thought I think Decisive is OP. But, I never thought that once so ever. I think Decisive is one of those perks that needs a bit more thought to use now and if done properly it can severally drop a killer by a peg. It's a thought base perk.
Like... let's use Trapper as an example if that's okay.
Trapper gets rewarded for out smarting other people.
I personally think Decisive falls into that part now

No, it's not bait.
Start playing and stop whining.
Oh. You're being 100% wow.
Okay, I have not once over dramatized this perk once so ever, I never screamed and shouted that this perk needs to be nerfed, not once in this discussion. I just noticed that you can do more plays with Decisive than you did, you chalked it up to being useless while I noticed that you can still make decisions if executed properly.
Which I experienced. You say it's anti tunnel, I say I got jumped scared when I suddenly get stabbed by a downed survivor I didn't realize I already hooked.
I've had people make really nice plays with this perk, just because they thought about it and I've met several others who made poor decisions but still got to make some nice distance.
I'd be over dramatizing this perk if I said it's op, which I haven't. Not once, your argument would hold more ground if I did, but I remind you: Have not.
Again, you said it was "now-forgettable." I still think it holds merit, a good merit, a healthy merit.
What I did say was: "that's kinda dumb arguing about NOED being a strong second chance perk, when Decisive and Dead Hard are things." I'm stating that's it's odd how survivors riot at the second chance perk killers have, but expect us to be blind to their own. You can clearly see the bias views of some of these people.
But, we'll hold off on that. You berated me for "dramatizing" Decisive, yet I never read you saying anything about Dead Hard. Strange. Very, very strange.
Do you think it's strong? I think it's fine. What about you? Are you gonna... "dramatize" Dead Hard?
-
@Snowbawlzzz said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2378378#Comment_2378378
Yes, tiny inconveniences. The survivor has to waste their own time not doing the objective in order to bait you with DS, and it's your own fault if you fall for it. Stop dramatizing this now-forgettable perk.
Oh my lord this was bait, holy hell I fell for that hard lmfao
Jesus, good one
-
@Snowbawlzzz said:

They ways you can """Abuse""""" DS nowadays are tiny inconveniences to the killer, any meaningful progress automatically shuts the perk off
Tiny... inconveniences? I'm sorry. What?
When you deal with a competent team you'll run into someone who make you accidentally take the bait, I've fallen for it a few times, some were dumb, but others were actually well played.
I want to reiterate something I think you missed by accident. No, I personally do not believe these perks should be nerfed. They should be left alone. I may have an bias opinion on other stuff, but these two are fine.
But, what urks me is the argument that's being made about NOED being a stupid OP second chance that rewards poor play when Decisive and Dead Hard rewards you with poor play as well.
Difference about one of those is that one of those perks can be used multiple times a match.

Hmm, just flat out being broken the rest of the match would make it far simpler to implement. (I was thinking about allowing the Survivor to sit for 40s Mending, which is time not spent working on generators, looping, healing others, or cleansing totems)
But honestly, even then, they're trading one extra health state for an extra state in a chase, but losing their second Hook health state. (Assuming they actually heal)
That's true, but most genuinely skilled survivors I run against don't care too much about being injured or broken.
It might also create a extremely good synergy combo with Resilience and Spine Chill. Which old No Mither does as well, but you ignore a down and if you also have a Dead Hard you'd ignore a second down.
I understand what you mean though, I just figured I'd bring this into some light

Decisive strictly only works for people getting hard-tunneled now
PLEASE stop with the whataboutism
That's a blatant lie.
I've had survivors purposely abuse the perk just to make stupid risky decisions and get rewarded with it.
It's designed to do that, yes. But do people follow it up to It's word? No.
I had a game where I "tunneled" an individual by accident and ate a Decisive because they had an inner strength set up.
I had survivors win the game just because they were "tunneled" I had survivors save other survivors because I "tunneled."
Yes, it was designed to be anti tunneling, but you will always run into someone who will purposely abuse the perk.
This isn't "whataboutism" this is just day to day stuff you deal with as a killer.

Ok I'll bite; why are you against gen regression perks?
Gen progression
Gen regression could be touched as well.
Personally, I think if there were no Gen progressions perks and if some regression perks were looked at as well it would make the game more engaging.
Slowdown would be a definite must to be looked at

If that isn't the case then no, no one cares
Understood.

Spine Chill is stupid and I'd be happy if it got nerfed.

Sorry Just wanted to know if it was over over. Thank you. Ya I am excited for double BP though. It'll go nice with the cakes I have left.
Oh no, don't apologize haha. There's really no indicator that it ended haha, but yeah. I can't wait for the bloodhunt!
-
I see it. It's just instant while old MoM required to be hit three times before you could get hurt.
Yeah... that could cause some complications.
Only thing that seems to balance it is you being broken for the whole match. But, I'd loathe to run up against that as a killer
-
It ended yesterday

Yes please more whataboutism, that's what this forum needs
No, I'm saying:
"Rewards free kills"
Yet these perks reward actually free health states of sorts.
Not saying nerf these perks
-
When they fix other things, then they can look at it.
Right now it's fine
-
I would appreciate that system.
I unfortunately lost a game because some survivor decided "nah" and rage quit

PC and Stadia for now, Switch should be on the way, at least that's the last news we got
Darn

@Damarus said:
Because it favors BAD players and gives them free hooks. Killers always come and say unhook should not be free, yet they never see how NOED is giving them free stuff, more so than other perks they have already do. Trapper should not be taken as an example, because the way he is designed is flawed, and doesn't work now that players know what they are doing. He might have worked before, when the game was in its vanilla state, but now he is just outdated.
Couldn't the exact same thing be said about Decisive and Dead Hard?
They reward you for making dumb decisions
-
I lost a match because of a DC, so I am a bit nettled at some people
-
Hex: Devour Hope is really nice, but completely RNG.
One match you're destroying and in the next you're getting destroyed.
Plus, if survivors camp around someone being hooked and they know for a fact that they saw you look at them, but still walk away.
Run.
They're getting a token
-
@Rizzo said:
There is currently no cross progression between PC and PS, I'm sorry.
Is it just PC and Switch at the moment? Because I remember you saying the same for xbox
-
Wait, they're all bloodpoint mechanics
Good Lord these are good...
I actually like the concept of them that still gives you a reward even if you didn't get anything as long as your team just plays the game normally.
Not bad
-
For m1 killers it's justified.
No run should last forever.
-
Wow. 72 on Ghost Face
-
Well, to be honest. It's just patience.
I still play all the killers on the first gen ps4.
I lag quite a bit as well, but personally I never take them as normal matches anymore until the issue is resolved.
Think of it as more strict practice, if you could over come the actual limitations that's holding you back and still do better and better each time, just image what you can do when you're not lagging.
I use that as a motivator. Hell, this lag also taught me to use different builds and play styles I can enjoy

I actually wanna another stealth killer. Not stalker, with different power. Like Pig maybe
A skulker, I love the crouch ability for killers, but it shouldn't be used too much. If they do it again it should be the last. But, they gotta disorient survivors and have the ability to hide in lockers or chests
-
Apparently direct hits don't do anything or are a gamble if they do or not.
While survivors forced to run into them will be slowed
-
I just dislike quick swapping in general for both sides.

'Surely you can concede that while not against the rules, it is not the most engaging nor sportsmanlike way of playing.'
So? Not to be a jerk but...so?
I've played this game since launch, and do you know the only times 'sportsmanship' is applied? To Killers and how they win.
Strong perks? Unsportsmanlike!
Strong Killers? Unsportsmanlike!
Valid tactics (Slugging, tunneling, camping)? Unsportsmanlike!
Killers have to make sure Survivors have fun! Killers have to stop being 'sweats'! Killers have to go off-meta! ...But Survivors? Survivors can run a 4-man SWF, with meta perks, and voice comms and Killers are supposed to 'git gud' and 'suck it up'.
Do you know what the equivalent of 'camping' and 'tunneling' is? 'Genrushing'. I don't believe in any of the phrases, but as long as Survivors will bang out gens in under 5 minutes while ALSO screaming for Killers to 12 hook because 'Sportsmanship' and 'Stop being a jerk', I will keep saying 'No.'
Because why are Killers supposed to not try to win, or only win by some made up code of honor forced on them by THE OPPOSING SDIE, while that same side continues to try winning as fast as they can?
It's a BS double standard. So don't talk to me about 'Sportsmanship', because it's nothing more than 'Stop trying to win' in a pretty bow.
Survivors gen rush to secure a win.
By gen rush I meant actually splitting up to work on a gen by yourself to avoid the decrease in progression and pick the best gens to do so you can't three gen yourself.
So... that being said. Some killers want to kill rush to secure a kill.
Why is it "camping needs to be nerfed" when gens are stupid easy to do? I'm not saying change the gens, but what I am saying is that... it's a little ridiculous. I don't camp, it's boring as well unless I'm camping a gen as a stealth killer to surprise a survivor
-
I never saw the flashbang as a killer.
What you got is a bug my friend.
-
Pips don't matter. Leave the game for a better match. Trust me.
Pips are stupid, one time I safety pipped and I still lost a rank.
