I'm not, but I'm trying to explain to you something being well-liked and popular doesn't mean its excluded from nerfs.
If people are going to say that Wesker shouldn't get nerfed because he's popular and fun then the same can be applied to meta perks that are complained about.
The only perk(s) that should be nerfed if mft
I personally don't like windows (mostly because you can see pallets in night fall) but I'm not asking for a nerf

It sucks. I'm sick of Wesker too, but I get why his pick rate is astronomical. They've released one killer that is fun to play and has a high skill cap in the last 5 or 6 chapters.
Knight? Literal AI killer. Skull Merchant? Press button to deploy a drone. Singularity? M1 killer with Fire Up. Dredge? Noob stomper. Sadako? M1 killer.
The devs have, for whatever reason, moved away from making even moderately mechanically demanding killers. Wesker is the one killer they put out in the last year and a half with any real depth.
Wesker doesn't need nerfs. They need to get back to designing killers that are actually fun to play with deep mechanics. This isn't meant as a slight to console players, but it really feels like they are trying to design killer kits solely with an analog stick in mind. No mechanical input is built into these killers beyond basic M1 stuff. It's boring as all get out.
Look at what they did in 2019-2020: Spirit, Plague, Pyramid Head, Blight. Compare those kits to what we're getting now. We've gone from "killer has a ranged attack, carves trails in the ground that inflict a status effect, puts you on a special hook, etc" to "killer deploys a drone by pressing a button and all power effects from then on are passive". Killers are being designed to do so. much. less.
Dredge is not a noob stomper

How do you make people want to play other killers? It's obviously not an issue of strength. Hag and Twins are both reasonably strong killers who destroy randoms. Artist is even stronger. Yet nobody wants to play them. You can't just make every killer a Wesker clone so that won't work either. It's a tough situation without an easy solution that won't piss everyone off. I definitely don't think Wesker being every other game is sustainable long term. I can speak from experience and say that playing against him so much has already made me start playing less. No killer variety is just boring and hurts the game. It was fine when he was new but he has more than worn out his welcome.
Here's how you make people play a variety of killers make alot of them better with counter play in their power that dosent destroyed the power like Singularity
Then we can make perks that do more

It's like people have said this exact thing for YEARS. No, Made for This is not what is causing some killers "not to be played". They're just weaker and not played as often and it has been that way for years. This did nothing to change that because this is said EVERY patch, whether it's buffs or nerfs.
Wesker has been one of the most played killers since his release. Made for This is also NOT inflating his pick rate. He has always been one of the most played since his release. People just like playing him.
Mft this has been out for like 2 months now undying was gutted quicker than this

"you're in low mmr because you rarely play doc" Bro, what is that logic... cope however you want to though. MFT is incredibly mediocre, it only benefits survivors who can already loop without it. It's not a crutch perk, it's barely an advantage. As I've said, any exhaustion perk is better. You're acting as if running this perk is an automatic win. I've gone against several survivors using this perk and only once have I had an issue, and it was against the aforementioned bully squad who would've been able to beat me regardless of their builds. Your opinion of this perk is based on personal experience, and I'm assuming it was bad. You probably got looped all game and were frustrated. You blamed your loss on a mid-tier perk rather than your lack of skill. Even with MFT, the killer is still faster, and bloodlust completely negates the "advantage". Those people who can loop you for 5 gens are simply better, they were able to do it before this perk. Your opponents aren't winning cause of a "meta" perk, they're winning cause you're dookie.
Doc mostly played in low mmr due to people struggling with skillchecks and not knowing loops. With an anti loop ability
And you said it mft benefits surivors that allready know how to loop dosent sound like low mmr surivors to Me. That's what old dead hard did

It's so incredible fun losing 3 gens on your first chase and when you get the first hook you have a choice you either focus that survivor and get another to get a draw or hope for survivors mistake for a snowball.
It's an issue but perks can help pop rewards downs corrupt stalls the early game
And that's a different issue I'm focused on mft

It's not been all that long since Hux's release and I already barely ever see him. It seems even after his more recent buff, people just aren't willing to give him another go, and I think I know why.
Personally I think that overall Singularity is reasonably-strong, and with the most recent nerfs to EMPs he's able to consistantly do much better in games, however...
I think the problem with him is that his counterplay, EMPs, get rid of too much of his kit at once, and don't have anyway for the killer to hinder them
Think about it like this, other killers have counterplay that the survivor has access too all the time, playing in a certain way to dodge hatchets, or to mindgame a phasing Spirit. This is something survivors have access to whenever, and they help counter the killer to an extent, but there's always something the killer can do to try and mitigate the counter, and if the counter does work, they can just try again straight away.
With Singulairity though, there's nothing you can do against EMPs. You can't sabotage the printers, you can't knock them outta survivor's hands with Franklin's. Survivors will get EMPs and use them and you can't do anything about it. Not only -that-, but they can feel like they completely neuter his power at times. If you've got some pods set up across the map and they're disabled, you gotta walk aaaaaall the way over there to do anything. This is made worse by the fact that you can SEE the survivors doing the gen right in front of you, but you're powerless to do anything about it. This isn't even going into the fact you often have to Slipstream a survivor, then Slipstream them a second time when they undoubtedly use their EMP straight away before you can ACTUALLY use your chase power.
While access to EMPs has been made more limited, so they won't have access to them for much of the match, when they DO have access to them it's just so damn demoralising as killer. Overall across the entire match I'm sure Singularity is fine and in a good place, but EMPs just feel too bad to play against and I feel that's why most people dropped him.
He was good then the changed his addons

When something is balanced, the people who complain about balancing the game will usually protest. Wesker should be an example of how to make future killers more engaging so that there's a wider variety of killers commonly played.
Killers don't just play Wesker because he's apparently the strongest, he's also fun when you learn how to use him.
Exactly imagine if trapper had some interactions where if you see a bear trap you can press something to jump Over it. And then trapper can have ways to bring traps to him instead of needing to get them
There's interaction and faster gameplay not the praying this loop has no trap and leaving it when you see the trap
-
@Pulsar said:
I'd just like for his tunneling ability to be reduced, other than that I think he's fine.
Ultimately, it's because of BHVR.
Prior to Wesker we had Dredge and Sadako. Unique Killers, sure, but neither of them are super strong or really fun. Dredge in particular can be an accessibility nightmare.
After Wesker we had Knight, who is unique, again, but boring to play and even worse to face.
Then we had Dull Merchant, who has managed to become the most hated Killer in existence. I tried for a daily with her today and most people will DC outright rather than chance a match with that pathetic excuse for a Killer.
Now we have Singularity who is strong. But he's clunky to play and he requires a LOT of effort.
Now this is a fair complaint it's within reason and keeping him fun

Agreed the risk and effort don't match the value you'd think with all that effort you'd insta down nope just a hit
Bubba dose what Singularity dose but better surivors don't decice to cancel your power Bubba moves faster than normal after. 5s into chainsaw breaks pallets at the same speed and insta down
the only down side is he dosnet have the map wide tp

How to beat legion
break his 3 gen asap The further he has to travel the better
run away form the gens as soon as You see some one gets deep wounds

i was scrolling through the forums today and saw that the general topic of "balance" seems to be the one big thing that's usually discussed whenever i log in, and it got me thinking about the state of the game and how the developers have been slowly gravitating towards the point of achieving a neutral point for both sides. this had me wondering; what would happen if dead by daylight actually managed to achieve a good level of balance? could an asymmetrical game ever become TOO balanced or overbalanced?
think of it this way: if we reached a state of the game where both sides had equal advantage over each other either through add-ons, perks, or map design, would there still be a challenge? would the gameplay become stale and would there be no incentive to get better as a result? what about individual player skill level? how difficult would it be to become really good at the game, if everyone else was able to achieve the same position as you? how would you personally try to make the game more interesting for yourself if everything managed to reach an equal state of being and it stayed that way for a long while?
a lot of the things that add a layer of difficulty or detail to the game seem to be placed on the chopping block more often than negotiated and i think it raises an interesting discussion point, given the fact that everyone's idea of 'balance' seems to be different from each other. it's almost like the sort of discussion on what life would truly be like if it was all a utopia and how it would still have downsides.
lets discuss! i'm really curious on what people have to say
Here's the thing an interactive game is better than a balanced one
Look at Friday the 13th the game isint totally balanced
Jason could pres 2 buttons and your match is over but people loved the game all the little thing you could do to survive
blocking doors
Scavageing for gear
Hiding is a strat
Running is a strat
You can combat Jason even kill Jason
You can hurt yourself to survive longer
If it wasn't for the lawsuit the game would still be strong
Now look at evolved it is a perfect balanced game play a monster evolve stages of growth
But it turns into a run lv up occasionally fight to wait out dome run lv up till max lv
Fight kill 1 or 2 heal up kill again there's not much interaction so it didn't last long

If you're able to pump out an additional 5-6 loops on a weak/average tile against Doc, that Doc isn't very good. I'm not talking about jungle gyms, shack pallet, or generally any god pallet where killer is forced to break it or lose time in chase.
If Deathslinger misses his shot, he should be penalized for it? MfT is not going to change that punishment. You're acting like MfT makes a drastic difference here. When DS ever missed, it was supposed to be punishing. The 3% isn't 'impossible' to catch them with, especially if you actually use your power (which is the whole point of playing someone like DS or Huntress) and don't miss your shots.
How so? Because I don't agree that you should be hit by a guard? By your own point, if you can 'normally outrun them w/o mft' then why is MfT suddenly the issue? Because its happening a lot less? Thats the logic? The only people that ever get hit by guards are bad survivors or simply survivors who made a mistake (which happens). The whole point is to zone and push them away from an area you want to keep secured or make harder for them to do their objective, whether hooks or gens. MfT doesn't change that.
Clown is essentially anti-loop so if you're telling me you struggle to down or catch people with Clown who are running MfT, again, I'm not looking at the survivors - just you.
Also not every survivor is some comp player. On average, most people are bound to make mistakes or lose a mind-game on an average/weak tile here or there, so acting like every survivor you come across is some amazing player whose running MfT and theyre the reason you lose a chase or a match is just copium to the extreme.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3481412#Comment_3481412
I'm not blind or biased. I used to play killer a lot and now its more 60/40. I just don't agree with you at all.
The killer mains who w/ video proof, also don't agree with you. Is it an annoying perk sometimes that helps the survivor get to a loop or extend a chase? Yea! Thats what its supposed to do. And only good/decent survivors are going to get actual good value from it. Bad survivors are still going to run to deadzones, lose mindgames more often than not, not know which tiles to chain together, etc.
Its funny thats your goto as soon as I come in here and voice my disagreement when people are holding 90% win rates in pugs, if not higher.
The thing is you can againts doc even at a tnl ic you hear him charge shock you run around the edge of tnl if he tryst to force you the other way either go to a new loop if you can
Or wait at the corner and run when you see him either in the window
You know they even the best huntress doesn't have 100% accuracy " just don't miss" what kind of an counter statement is that huntress can at least try again
Deathslinger aiming goes I belive 100% so they are allready faster than you when aiming and if you miss you go at 85% for 1s then reload at 85% for 3s on reload
That 1 miss will put them out of your powers range and you take longer to get them back in range for your power
Did you even read what I said the major loss is the distance spent to set your guards up
-

I will start by saying the dbd survey has inspired me to create these interesting perk ideas. Note I got inspired by seeing fnaf being on the survey also note the perks are mainly killer perks I will think of more give me time.
Night shift - When the gates are being powered and if survivors let go of those gates it'll start to decrease (80/90/100)
Animatronic fright - after hitting a survivor you gain a token, up to a total of 5 tokens, you're would be to able exposed any survivors with the 6 hit. (Has 20 second cool down)
Scrounge Hook: deadly preference - when the last gen gets done, this perk actives any survivor who gets hooked with a Scrounge hook at end game could be mori able after being downed.
The name of the second perk could be changed but it's not bad
Maybe basic attacks should be only way to gain stacks

This is full on copium and exaggeration.
'never going to catch them' ..have you by chance, ever thought maybe you just aren't as good as you think you are? Wild concept, I know!
Actual good killer mains have not been struggling at all.
If you struggle to catch or down anyone with Clown, says more about you.
If you struggle to catch or down anyone with Doc, says more about you.
God forbid survivors can actually outrun the Knight's guards, huh. We should just add a 'freeze survivor' ability in place and force them to take a hit.
People are playing Wesker simply because hes 1) a strong killer and 2) he's fun to play/get better with.
So many people seem to be under the impression that its a perk, item, SWF navy seal squad as to why they lost. No you lost, 99% of the time because of how you played. Go watch any capable killer main whose been playing for years. They still win 90% or more of their matches and thats on a variety of killers all ranging from D-A.
I've realized a lot of people that play DbD do not take accountability at all for their mistakes or way they play. They can be the absolute reason for losing a match but they will never entertain that possibility or believe it.
Doc goes 100% speed when shocking meaning sur9vors are faster than him making 5 or 6 more loops on pallets
The never gonna catch them part is on deathslinger if the if you miss them not to mention it's a bit easier to keep out of los
Knight just shows how little you know guards move at 105 for 12s and normally you can out run them without mft the issue is the amount of distance you lose setting them in place
And Clown slows survivors by 15% and for 2s after you leave the gas on windows he can play normally he can't on pallets that 15% becomes 12% wich means you get to your location roughly. 3s quicker and .3s is the different between a hit or not for clown
Where did I mention swf
Items can shave 20s of gens or double chase time
Did you miss the part where I showed my time played been playing since pig cane out and you can see my stats alot of that time was on killer so I'd say I'm pretty capable killer main

It's the same thing we saw in 2018-2019 after the first healing nerfs.
Healing becomes worse, Survivors decide to push gens until healing is more viable. Spine Chill, Resi, DS DH was the meta back then and I distinctly remember not being happy with it because I was a new Killer at the time.
Same thing now. MFT, Resi, Windows and Hope or some variation of that.
Exactly and neither of them are good
