I find it funny when they tebag you then 2 seconds later they are on a hook woundering was it really worth it.
If I teabag a killer I expect to be tunneld and camped but usually only do it when summit stupid has happend as a sighn of laughing.
I had him on hook twice and they were dead set to get him off and run. I love Ash mains but two of them were so selfless and aggravating they refused to leave him behind.

Good for you. But I'm still going to help my teammates. I'm a killer main mostly and tbagging doesn't hurt my feelings
I don’t help hiding Claudettes and dumb teammates who hover around a hook waiting for the killer to leave so they can unhook. I’ll just add toxic teammates to that list of not helping.

I was thinking this, to go the extra mile I guess you could point out in post-game chat you did it cause of the teabagging.
But yeah, good for you OP!
I’m on console and any toxic survivors I’ve encountered are on crossplay so I can never send them messages. But I have sent messages to toxic survivors if I could.
-
I would try to lead killers to hiding Claudettes and such but they never follow and instead just attack me no matter what.

Good for you, but they're simply going to assume that you're either a bad player refusing to do those actions or that you're being toxic yourself.
I may not rub it in their face or anything, like pointing at them on hook. But I may just walk by.

It's a survival game for goodness sakes. The game doesn't constitute that any of the other survivors have to help you. Sure they get rewarded when they do it it's not a requirement depending on how the other players want to carry out their match. Also as a survivor , your main objective is...to.... not...get ..caught.
Ah. So your one of those teammates that everyone hates to have on their team.
-
@Mandy said:
This is why I run Deliverance in most of my solo matches. I try to not rely on team mates at all right now.
I don't normally get hooked first, so I always make sure to make the save, then at least I can save myself if my team mates don't want to make saves.
I wasn’t hooked first. In fact I saved these guys once or twice before I got hooked myself. But boy was I abandoned right then.

tbh this seems to be an ok spawn if the killer headed directly towards you after the start of the match. It's closer than usual but not broken imo.
He had a direct line of sight to me. Just made a straight beeline. He obviously saw me spawning and standing there.

Was this on the Japanese map against a Plague?
If not this exact thing happened with me too. I was the killer, got a hook early on; left the area to find the other three survivors; came back and found survivor 1 going into their third hook stage. No one even attempted to save them, even whil I was across the map.
No this was a match against a Deathslinger.

this is also not helped by the fact that the reworked maps have basically no fog, meaning you can spot/be spotted from the other side of the map if the killer has good enough eyesight
This has happened an insane amount of times lately. He came right to me so Behavior must have graciously gave him a view of me from the start.

Right now, the game doesn't make it easy to like it, and I play it more than any other game because I like the concept. But, and it's a big but, sometimes you just need a few days without, it's like any good relationship. xD
Wait until the current bugs are fixed and then keep playing, the rift is online long enough, you'll manage it even then.
Besides, my Mikey and you still have a date pending. XDD
Heck yeah. I wouldn’t mind dating you as the Pig either. She seems like she would be spicy in the sack lol

You have sixty days or so left to complete it. It doesn't have to be binge-played like tearing through an show on Netflix. :) Take it down a few notches and play when it is fun to play and not when it becomes like work.
Fair enough. May take a day or two off.

Not to mention my girlfriend was the one who got me into the game and bought me the premium rift pass for Valentine’s Day. So I’m kinda forced to do the rift.

When I encounter groups like this I usually try to stay on the opposite side of the map from them. I work gens, break totems, loot chests, search for hatch, and anything else I need to do for a daily or challenge. I play it safe and hide anytime I hear a heartbeat. I have gone from dying first to often being the last one down or even escaping. ######### them. Solo queue is rough and I assume I'm a lone wolf until I see differently.
Usually you can’t tell they are a little group until it’s too late for you.

You can always see the other survivors when on the hook regardless of perks, I meant it more as a way to show people if the killer is camping and also allow them to see if someone's gonna save. Sucks that the killer wasn't around though, they even knew you had Kindred..
The entire match all three of them were clustered together gen rushing. They weren’t planning on saving anyone I bet that wasn’t in their little threesome group.
-
@GannTM said:
Yeah I feel you there. Scott Jund just proposed this idea to buff solo queue and it’s very good. Entity knows we need it because of how painful solo queue is.
Yeah it’s getting really bad for solo. Especially for the constant DC people.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
It's dumb you have to run kindred in solo queue a lot of the time, you shouldn't have to waste a perk slot on that kinda thing- but it helps.
I wish they would add what scott suggested, with a communication system via pre made selectable messages, that would help a lot.
I am surprised they were at least doing gens, that's more than I ever get haha.
I had Kindred and saw them on the other side of the map gen rushing and the Killer’s aura was no where near me. No heartbeat nothing. They said he was camping but they didn’t even try to make their way over to me.
-
@Mistercookie said:
You can always try to run Kindred and Deliverance to negate a bit of those issues... maybe add Decisive Strike for good measure.
Solo queuing is pretty bad though and yeah people suck.
I had Kindred. That’s how I saw them all gen rushing on the other side of the map and didn’t see the killer’s aura at all around me.
-
Just had a match where two players DC’d one right after the other with only two gens done. I just walked up to the killer and let him hook me. I’m getting this DC survivors so much now. Like once every three or four matches

I only play challenges for the rift and then go back to either gravity rush or ys8 or disgaea you know game you don't play which other people,because in online game some people just want to ruin someone day/fun in DBD.
That is true but I’ve realized with online games every match is unique because everybody plays different. Single player games have a set path no matter what

I don't see this game lasting much longer.
I don't DC anymore but I'll kill my self something messed up happen and they a lot of messed up people who play this game.
I also don't play much I play off and on but right now playing others games but thing in the game turning me off and use to be fun oh well.
I’ve only been playing a month and constantly. I usually bury myself in a new game for awhile. I’ve already reached red rank for survivor. That said this new update is an instant killer for new players. I’ll stick with the game though cause I enjoy it and I’ve made some cool friends on it to play with. That said if I didn’t have said friends I wouldn’t be playing long.
-
I tries nurse once for the daily and to see....once. It was the most disorientating experience I’ve ever had. I was confused and had no clue how to range or anything. I managed to hit one survivor by pure luck. After that I was done.
-
My heart sinks when I come up against a Freddy cause usually they always annihilate the team with very little ease. For starters I think there needs to be more time between automatically going into the dream state or just make it to where Freddy has to hit you. It just feels like it’s a forced mechanic to make the match longer and more grueling. Not to mention freddys extendo arms are awful. He can hit you around the corner, over the hill and through the woods, all the way to grandmas freakin house.

I've always kinda shipped Bubba and Huntress, despite how much of a crack pairing that is, so I would want a Tuxedo Leatherface to go with that.

I’ve noticed that issue as well. I sometimes get super laggy in chases with certain killers. Like for some reason if Leatherface is chasing me and I try to drop a pallet on him it lags and I don’t drop it and instead Bubba drops me. I haven’t really experienced that with another killer.

I DC if the killer is toxic. There's way too many toxic killers out there now especially with the giant hotboxes they've had. And they just tunnel now cause thats the only way some killers can get a 4k. They just shake there heads thinking they're good and get salty when you keep pallet stunning them. I'm not saying all killers are like this but there's just way too many out there right now that are.
Yeah I’ve had a lot of head shakers recently. Honestly I can’t tell if they are being toxic or what

Ok? That is a fair point, but it doesn't alter the fact that disconnecting does a disservice to everyone involved. It is bad sportsmanship and it only creates a negative feedback loop. Look, I don't enjoy every match I play; no one does. I stick them out because doing so ensures that someone else in that match who MIGHT be having fun doesn't get cheated. I do it because I hope that someone else will do the same for me sometime. This is the game. This is the state of the game right now. You have to decide if getting in the Que is worth it. If not, get the hell out of that Que. If you stay in, you need to finish your match. Play them all to the end, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
And as to something else one can do during this Pandemic, I can strongly suggest audio books on Youtube. They are free. All the wonders of great literature and none of the eye strain. You can even do housework while you listen. I'm not being snide or sarcastic here. I'm pointing out that if someone has internet to play Dead by Daylight, they have internet to access entire WORLDS of wonderful things. People forget that there are books and audio books online a'plenty. There are free games in the hundred (if not thousands). There are more shows and movies (free) than one could watch in a lifetime at any given time. I'm not being mean, but I don't think your argument holds that much water. If you want to play Dead by Daylight, you accept the good with the bad and you finish your matches. If you don't want to play, don't play.
I can see your point on it but I guess I can’t see this issue as fully black and white. What if the killer or a survivor is a hacker? Should you still not DC cause of the others? I’m sure never DCing is not the only option. Just saying it’s not black and white.

And I'm not making a moral judgement on people feeling like they want to quit matches. I'm just saying if that is the case, said people should considering quitting the game. It sounds like it would be win/win for everyone if they did? There are people who are not that unhappy with the game and still having fun playing it. They are sabotaged by people who are NOT having fun and quitting matches and thus sabotaging everyone else.
Some things I see in black and white. If one isn't having fun, don't play the game. If one chooses to play knowing the rules (and the issues currently ongoing) they ethically should finish the match. It is bad sportsmanship to do otherwise. We cannot control problems external to ourselves, but we can take pride in our personal brand and control those things which are internal.
Thus, if I start a game, I'm going to finish it (whether I'm having fun or not). If I find I'm not having fun on a regular basis, I take a break from the game. I mean really, if people are that unhappy with Dead by Daylight currently, it makes more sense to take a break and play something else until whatever issues are bothering them are resolved.
Also need to understand that maybe they don’t have any other games to play atm. With the pandemic and most people losing their jobs maybe DBD is the only game they can afford right now.

I would take a break from it till the issues were fixed but they are doing the rift and lunar event during all these issues. And since this is my first rift event I want to win everything so I can have cool stuff when the game is better. I’m guessing a lot of people are doing the same. Trying to grit and bear with it till either the event is over or the issues.

@Moundshroud said:
I'm just of the view that if you aren't going to finish your games, why are you starting them in the first place? Do yourself (and the other people you are inconveniencing by being selfish) a favor and find another game. Call me old-fashioned, but if I find myself wanting to quit a game frequently, I clearly am not enjoying it. Why would I continue to do something that I do not enjoy? So, please ask yourself WHY you are getting in the Que if you don't intend to see it through. There are literally thousands of games available at your fingertips. Go play one that you are serious about.
I can kinda see both sides of the argument. At least with how broken the game is atm. I have died on first hook a few times due to broken spawn points. Had a few matches where I didn’t even have time to move at the start of the match and the killer was already on me and hit me. With a start like that I honestly didn’t want to finish anymore.
