It's possible, but there would be a lot of problems, mainly performance on lower-end PCs and last gen consoles, and the spaghetti code somehow breaking everything the second it gets moved over
-
Her Basekit is fine, Her addons on the other hand absolutely should be nerfed or reworked
-
SWF by itself is not a problem
SWF with 3rd party communication software like Discord is a problem
-
Artist's run animation looks really off to me for some reason, i can't really put my finger as to why it looks off, it just does to me
-
People that are much more invested in the CoH discussion then me have put it like this, every other boon requires the killer to be chasing someone near the boon to be effective, and therefore the survivor running the boon has a incentive to think about where a killer might go often to get as much as much value from it as possible, high risk, high reward
However, CoH is the opposite, you want it to be somewhere very far away from the killer, and now the killer has to waste time getting to that location and snuffing it, otherwise the survivors will just run back to the boon and heal, very low risk, insanely high reward
IMO CoH should either remove the healing boost and become a AoE self care, OR rework it to keep in line with the other boons, where you’re incentivised to put it somewhere where a killer will be chasing somebody

I would add Rajang as a Blight skin
For those of you who have no idea what a Rajang is, imagine a gorilla with the personality of a honey badger strapped to a chainsaw, give it the ability to control thunder, and make it go Super Saiyan
I wish I was kidding
-
The only time i see him now is when i play him, which makes me sad
god i hope BHVR renegotiates the license so that Demo can come back
-
The most OP thing that Oni has is being able to do a demon strike early, and even then, if it wasn't there then Demon Strike would be mostly useless due to how long the full wind-up actually is and how laughably easy it is to 360
A good Oni is terrifying, but far from overpowered
-
Most of the gameplay involved is just holding forwards through the halls
it's everything wrong with the W Meta in the form of a map

they should, this hurts new players.
if a new players comes to the game and have to verse a swf who are all red ranks and hes a ashe hes gonna uninstall.
Ranked Matchmaking was what we had before MMR, and guess what? it had the exact same problems to the point where "ranks don't matter" became a community-wide meme
Be happy that the grades are ACTUALLY meaningless now instead of affecting matchmaking
-
Fun to play but needs buffs
-
i took this screenshot during i think 2019 or around that time to show how many items i had at the time
The ranks and old Jake model sure bring back memories
-
Radar says hello again
-
It sucks but at the end of the day it’s a legitimate tactic that only works on survivors who are overly-altruistic
it sure as ######### doesn’t feel legitimate when you’re on the receiving end but killers will stop doing it when survs stop rushing to the hook like sharks around blood

Probably because it's arguably the best map for killer, it's the smallest map in the game and has the highest kill rate.
I’d argue Shelter Woods or The Game are better but Midwich is definitely top 5 maps for killers
-
That first suggestion would be amazing, but in my opinion the trap hit box is fine as is

I actually like Midwich as a killer, it’s one of my favorite maps. 🙂
That’x cool, I disagree though
Midwich looks great, its gameplay just makes me less then energised

if you got a swf with these perks ggs.
no scratch marks, self healing at a fast rate, iron will so you will never hear them and dead hard to just flat out ignore your attack.
legit if all survs runs this you can't do anything.
i just wish they would nerf all the meta perks so others can shine, the mmr is fine since you get bloodpoints for climbing up but mmr is kind of not balanced right ether.
sigh.
so much cover for survs so its so easy for them to just dip cause of these perks since you legit can't see or hear or do anything to counter the healing since you waste so much time breaking the boon so many times.
One word, Bloodhound
Injure the survivors and then look at the floor for the giant neon signs leading them towards you
congratulations, you have countered 3 to 12 perks depending on many survs run this build just by running a single perk that you can get just by clicking on Wraith’s bloodweb

That’s better than the current version but still probably not great. You’ll probably just end up with a bunch of killers running the Ban RPD offering and survivors running the Ban Midwich offering or something like that.
The only good thing I can think of with offerings either way is they might give data to the devs over which maps are popular or unpopular. So if your system above was in place the devs could see at a glance that “hey, everybody is banning RPD”, for example, and have some data to actually show it’s not popular for some reason. (Honestly I don’t personally have a big issue with RPD other than that I don’t know the layout too well but I know it’s really unpopular with other killers on the forums.)
To be fair, very few if anyone would be really upset if RPD and Midwich were removed from the map pool

Then you can surely quote that exact statement, right?
I'm not going to look through 6 years worth of footage and messages to find one statement, especially seeing as the fact that they didn't intend for voice comms is obvious just by looking at how the game is played as intended and how voice comms break it
If that's not enough for you, then sorry, but that's where i stand on this
-
@DNM said:
In my honest opinion map offerings shouldn't be in the game it gives survivors an unfair advantage to just choose where you go
It gives killers a advantage as well but they honestly should just be binned like the Splinters and Moonlight offerings

HOW could be SWF with coms be unintended as coms existed since 15 years before DbD was even released? Stop with those blatant lies.
The devs said that they didn't intend SWF to have voice comms, as outright stupid as it sounds, that's what they said
If you want to call anyone a blatant liar, tell it to them, not me
-
As someone who had to play against pre-nerf spirit more often then he would have liked, absolutely not
Spirit is still top 5 strong, she just requires you to actually use your brain on a consistent basis
-
@MonsterInMyMind said:
I like the idea, but sadly knowing this community, it'll never get use because people seem to deem everything in the game as toxic.
The sad part is that you aren’t really wrong
-
The best thing to do it either ignore it or make fun of them for it
example, some guy called me racist for killing a Claduette first
i then replied with “the fact that you stayed behind to yell at me for that is funny tbh”
they responded with “I’m not yelling“
I then said “I know you’re yelling, how do I know? Simple, I’m right behind you” and then left
humour is the best way to handle stuff like death threats honestly
-
Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t you supposed to NOT brag about letting the other side live because you were more then capable of killing them?
-

Rank = MMR, you confuse Rank with Grades
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2901945#Comment_2901945
I'm sorry, what?
Rank and MMR are not the same thing, Ranks were a visible icon in the corner of the screen that dictated who you would be matched with (and dictated if you were allowed to have a opinion or not according to some people), MMR is a invisible number that is supposed to dictate who you get matched with but is so inconsistent that it might as well not exist
-
@Tiufal said:
With this logic coms would been an issue in any koop-game. Like, go play some BR games you can play vs random groups or vs teams on comms. But no other game ever made an issue out of coms, but dbd players are crying like hell. Its obviously an issue on player mentality here.
And @DragonMasterDarren how about not telling lies about swf being unintended in first place. It was always an intended feature. This was already told thousand of times by BHVR.
Go back to my original comment, and read what it says
assuming you can do that, you’ll know that I said SWF with Voice Comms was unintended, not SWF in general
if you’re going to call me a liar at least read what I said before doing so
-

Oh come on dude, I know everyone on the forums wants to paint the developers as bad people, but they absolutely knew people would play with their friends in voice comms, survivors (before SWF was added) were already in calls to queue up at the same time and be in the same match together, they weren't suddenly going to stop being in calls together because SWF was added.
i never said they weren’t going to stop being in calls, if anything I’m saying that the devs continuing to ignore the fact that Discord exists is the biggest balancing issue in the game atm
i just think that we have to accept the fact that the devs probably wouldn’t do anything about it
-

Yes, but even in 2016 they imo should have taken comms into balance consideration, but did not.
@Aven_Fallen said:

The Devs knew that it will happen that people jump on Discord (or Teamspeak at this time) and play together with communication.
Nobody creates a Multiplayergame and does not know that people will communicate via 3rd party software.
I agree, they absolutely should have
But, at the end of the day, we do have to acknowledge that they didn't, as boneheaded and ignorant as it was
-
@JPLongstreet said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2901211#Comment_2901211
It is a bit misleading to say "never intended" as the devs have said multiple times both KYF and SWF were supposed to be out with the game's launch, however only KYF was ready at the time.
Shortly after release (and lots of lobby dodging to queue with their mates) SWF was added. There is no doubt imo they underestimated big time the scope and easy availability of comms on gameplay.
SWF and KYF was intended
SWF with the ability to communicate with each other across the map at all times wasn't
-
My best was i'd say around 10 minutes, all of the gens got done and i was single-handedly responsible for my entire team not only getting out but also never getting hooked once
-
Twins, Because they never show up i never have the chance to improve against them
Nurse, Because she ignores everything
PH, because for some reason Punishment of the Damned is magnetically attracted to me and me specifically
-
The only reason SWF is overpowered is 3rd party communication software, i.e., something that BHVR can't do a damned thing about and something that we as a community simply have to accept
SWF without comms is just solo queue but with reliable teammates, SWF with comms is a balancing nightmare due to the fact that it was never intended in the first place
-
I do this so often I practically do it subconsciously and I do not know why
-
STBFL is amazing on killers that can get relatively easy hits with their power, but honestly I kind of stopped using it after Demo’s addon pass made it kind of moot
it’s still fun, but I’m more likely to take SF/Enduring over STBFL nowadays

Thats nice. But most of the time i won´t see this as a attempt of good intention. (mainly because i don´t go to the exit gate)
To be honest, i don't blame you for that
for every person that tries to help with archive challenges there's at least 100 people that are just hanging there to be dicks unfortunately
-
@Tsulan said:

I´m afraid the amount of survivors that stay around for this is... pretty much non existant.
well i am one of those people that do stay around to try and help
-
As someone who has played a lot of HK, i agree with this
-

There are tome challenges to butt dances at the exit gate?
no but some of the "use killer power in a unlikely to even occur scenario" challenges are really tedious to try and get, so i hang around and hope that they can get the challenge requirements off of me
-
I have had many moments that i goddamn wish i had recorded, but my personal favourite was of me discovering the funny stuff you can do with Demo on RCPD
The main lobby remains my favourite room in the entire game ever since i discovered it
-
in my case it's it's to give you some extra BPs or free Tome Challenge progress, i've done plenty of rather painful tome challenges and quite honestly if i can help someone not go through the same pain that i did, then i will
-
I've done it quite often, it's always nice seeing them say "gg thank you :)" in post game chat
it is also funny watching their teammates scream at me in post game chat
-
Change 1: General Optimisations, self explanatory
Change 2: Remove MMR, again, self explanatory
Change 3: Remove the BP cap and double the BP gain
Change 4: Remove Perk Tiers, they have no reason to exist considering how many perks we have and will probably continue to get
Change 5, same as you, add a appraisal system to reward people for being nice to each other
-
Plunders is a S tier perk that basically nobody uses and I will stand by this opinion

As nice as it would be to not have to deal with BM, it's just a fact of multiplayer gaming that people can and will be vicious to others for any number of reasons
The mature thing to do is to just ignore it, no amount of discussing it on a online forum is going to change gamer nature
