Would you say Bitter Murmur, BBQ and chilli, NOED and remember me is a good build on freddy? been using it recently with some decent results
-
As more and more teachable perks are coming into the game, would you guys consider making more default perks for survivors/killers, also, would you be able to take suggestions from players at some point for perks (and then if these are not balanced, you guys could do it as you see fit to make them so.)?

Clown is fine the way he is

........

Freddy op, please nerf...
-
........
-
Surely these changes to stake out would make the technician perk redundant?
-
terrible idea

Some ultra rares are fine and yes others need drastic attention, however, saying that "we might as well revert back to BNP at the same time" isn't necessarily fair to say, seen as killers have been at the reseeding end of that problem (and many others) for many years which, unsuprisingly, made the game NOT fun for many killers for a long time.I would argue that it's absolutely fair to say. I don't think one person should be able to equip an item that makes the game less fun for everyone else. In the same way a killer doesn't find four generators instantly popping at the start of a round to be fun, survivors did not find going down once only to be instantly killed fun. Both sides have always had to put up with unfair add-ons/items/offerings. Saying that it's okay for one side to have ridiculously overpowered items with no trade-offs but not the other is arbitrary, and only serves to make the game less fun for the other.
There is no reason anything should be intentionally designed to be unbalanced. You can balance them in a way that's fun to play both as and against without necessarily being overpowered. Drawbacks are the most obvious way to do this.
I would rather use a fun add-on and take a loss than use an overpowered add-on and steamroll through that match.
In relation to survivors and killers though, would you say an ultra rare of that of a killer would have to be more influential of that of a survivor in order to make the game balanced? I say this not because "im a killer main" or "killers should be able to get 4k's every match" because they shouldn't. I say it because there is only ONE killer in the game and FOUR survivors, if the killer uses and ultra rare and all of the survivors use ultra rare items/addons, to make the game fair wouldn't the killers ultra rare addon have to suffice to the four survivor ultra rares in order to be considered equal? i mean, in an assemetrical horror game like dbd, the killer is supposed to be as powerful as the survivors combined in order to make it fair, the survivors are stronger as a team and weaker if they play by their own rules so to say.
So in regards to "one side to have ridiculously overpowered items with no trade-offs but not the other is arbitrary" can only really be possible if the killers ultra rare addons are BETTER than the survivors addons. Which is why i say removing the downside of the ultra rare addons would be benefitial as survivors would still be able to compete with it. Its 4v1 essentially, the proof is in the pudding.

saying weather if something being more rare/expensive makes it more fun to play against, it shouldnt.
I respectfully disagree. This is a game, it's meant to be fun. You can have add-ons that change the way the game plays without being overpowered. Scratched mirror is the perfect example of that. It's not super powerful, but it's a funny gimmicky way to play Myers. If you use the noodle and ambush people, you'll still have a modest amount of success too.
There's definitely some ultra rares that aren't good at all, and those could definitely be looked at. But I'm strongly against just making add-ons that are overpowered just because you spent bloodpoints. Otherwise we might as well revert BNPs at the same time, if fun isn't a factor.
Ah, unfortunately i believe you have misunderstood my point. I stated that it would be more fun for the killer.
And yes you may say "we want fun on both sides etc. etc." but killer in general has had a lot of problems overall and i believe this buff to ultra rare addons would give them a helping hand. You may say that this makes killers "overpowered" and "not fun for survivors" however i strongly disagree. Not only do survivors have strong items themselves that seem unfun and almost insulting to the killer (such as insta heals and up until recently BNP), Survivors of skill have also been blessed with such perks as sprint burst, adrenaline, dead hard, borrowed time, decisive strike, self care (etc. etc.) which have come to be known as 'crutch' perks. I don't believe being looped all game is that fun for killer, which is why many killers resort to de-ranking but once again i think im getting off-topic.Coming back to the ultra-rare addons argument, you stated that "funny gimmicky" addons like the scratched mirror for myers result in fun gameplay for both sides AND a modest amount of success, which is fantastic and i think is brilliant. However, if you go on youtube or twitch, you'll most probably find that scratched mirror michael is only REALLY found on the leirys memorial hospital map, and so lacks any real threat on other maps. Granted its still able to work and can be fun in certain situations, however, the modest success may no longer be relevant... What im meaning here is that although "fun, gimmicky" addons are great for the game and result in fun playstyles, they're just that - "gimmicky", they're there not to make the killer strong but to change the way in which they are played for fun over success to lack better terms. which is why the scratched mirror for michael is rightfully a very rare addon, not an ultra rare.
Some ultra rares are fine and yes others need drastic attention, however, saying that "we might as well revert back to BNP at the same time" isn't necessarily fair to say, seen as killers have been at the reseeding end of that problem (and many others) for many years which, unsuprisingly, made the game NOT fun for many killers for a long time.

Does something being rare/expensive make it more fun to play against, though? That's something the needs to be considered. On the surface it's easy to say that they should have any drawbacks, but then they would end up ruining the experience for the other side.Otherwise you end up with things like the old BNPs, where they would instantly completely repair a generator, or moris where one down was an instant game over. Even now, if you were to just remove drawbacks, you'd have EW3 Myers running around with no terror radius and the ability to everyone's aura within 32m.
I prioritize fun first. Just because I spend more points on something doesn't mean the game should be less fun for everyone else. Ultra rares should provide alternative ways to play, not necessarily overpowered ways to play.
saying weather if something being more rare/expensive makes it more fun to play against, it shouldnt. What i mean by this is it should make it harder for the survivors to survive, hell, thats the whole point of an add-one right? to help give the killer a bit more of an advantage, no matter how you do that its going to make the killer stronger somehow and as a direct result less fun for the survivor, but more fun for the killer. These add-ons cost 7,000 points each and don't even appear in every bloodweb meaning much more than that has to be spent in order to actually obtain them.
As well as this, unlike with survivors who can use the same item/add-ons for many, many games in a row (which by the way sort of make the game less fun for killer but lets not get into that) the killer is only able to use these add-ons ONCE. thats it, no reusable add-ons, no saving them if you do well, thats it. As a result, we should have good effects on them, unchallenged affects with no down sides, these things are ultra rare for a reason, otherwise killers might as well get the 4k uncommon add-on or the 3k common add-on if there is no point in the ultra rares, and the killers need something to help them out seen as games only last about 4 minutes in the current gen rushing meta we're in.
and you say EW3 myers running around with no terror radius and the ability to everyone's aura within 32m. This should be able to happen, SOMETIMES. just like 4 BNP survivor groups with all carrying desisive strike, sprint burst, and adrenaline is able to happen, SOMETIMES. it makes the game that bit harder and a bit more of a challenge, otherwise every game would be the same with little to none variety
so yeah, ultra-rare add-ons need a buff/to get rid of the negatives in my opinion

-
yeah but i mean, i swear the reason most ppl equip that perk in the first place is purely because of the incrased generator repair speed. Ik it is when i run it with no mither for example
-
If the new kindred buff applies then surely that makes insidious redundant? I know camping is a frowned upon play style, and i don't personally like it. But its still cancelling out the majority of use for the insidious perk. If this thing for kindred goes through then i think if the killer has insidious they shouldn't be seen via the aura at least, so the perk has some significance.
-
I had fun in the howling grounds, other than 2 matches where survivors sabotaged every lunar hook and ONLY the lunar hooks, but then again i also had survivors giving me free hooks, still a fun event regardless
-
surely after they fix the pallet animation that change for resillience would be almost useless?
-
Franklins is fine as it is, just go back and get your item off the ground when the killer is chasing someone else if u want it that badly, it already got a slight nerf as it now only works when using M1 (it used to work on chainsaws)
-
Don't quote me on it, but i think you'll be able to equip it once you unlock the character.

...clown is balanced, just learn how to play against him like every other killer
Could you plz answer my questions? So have you faced a clown? Do you know how fast he can catch up to you? even without his atonics? I kinda know how to juke the clown a bit but it's only temporary.
Alright, so answer your question yes i have faced many clowns and yes i do know how fast he can catch up to you considering i got to rank 1 with him, so i think i know a thing or two about him. That being said, i know its clear that he has a lot of flaws with his strengths, when facing capable survivors who knew how to play against him, i found they were able to "bait" bottle throws and run off instead of sticking with the first loop they came across. Forcing me to refill my bottle supply, slowing me down. Without his toxins he is a regular M1 killer who is able to be looped etc. until he refills (when he does this then run away, don't stay at the loop). So yeah, as i said previously, he is a balanced killer as when you know how to play against him, it is relatively simple to out-play him, especialy with some of the clutch survivor perks. Have you ever played the clown?
. but thats my perspective on itRn im saving shards so im probably going to get him to try him out ill see his prospective and then ill tell you my response
You see this discussion @RSB its very mature because he is giving me the answers that i wanted and not being a [BAD WORD] like you
Regardless if you're able to get to high ranks with him or not, he is a v fun killer to play in my opinion. Good luck

the kindred change is stupid, everything else was alrightl. the bloodlust we'll have to see ingame.

the only way survivor is harder than killer, is if your solo and your team just sandbags you every chance they get.

Thanks guys, sloppy butcher and coulrophobia seem like a good pair in the right build

Would Coulrophobia and the new sloppy butcher work together? or would it not make a difference to the healing speed if i only chose Coulrophobia? The healing reduction from Sloppy Butcher doesn't stack. I'm pretty sure it even says so in the description. If you were to use the two perks whatever one had the higher base value would take priority.
that sucks ;( thanks for the info though

maybe not legacy, but something like that, an exclusive, hard to get cosmetic
-
If they decide to add legacy skins to the shop, you should only be able to buy them with devotion points or something
-
ill vote clown if u add the option

noed too

leave bbq alone, its sick

i had a game then and it didn't even proc when the killer picked me up, #########?
-
PC, first time its happened, just logged on and lost the past 5-6 hours of progress from the night before
-
He is quite easily countered, he still suffers from what most killers suffer from, gen rushing
-
the coughs pretty cool

where would clown be ?

https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/7urzsq/i_compared_leatherface_chainsaw_speed_withwithout/ I think thats the video on reddit there

his chilli and award winning chilli aren't very influential in reaching his top speed. I think theres a video on youtube somewhere where it shows the affects of the chilli compared side by side with no chilli addons. There is almost no difference at all
