The Dancing Clown? But that's pretty lame.

Yes or make it like Hags traps and have the first portal you open be replaced by the new portal.
Maybe when you have zero remaining, you could place a new portal and have the choice of the certain portal you replace.
-
I think Trapper should be 2 trap default. The add-on should allow a third trap.

This is the snow flake genre now that you will have to get use too LOL
Bless them.

Usually, as soon as the exposed effect pops up, everyone goes hiding until the meter runs out. And if you're on a hook, forget about getting saved until the effect has ended.

I literally cannot believe not a single person has given the right answer. In certain countries, a videogame which shows beheading will automatically be banned within that country. Obviously the devs don't want to make a kill animation that gets their game banned in parts of the world where they have a large number of players (which is practically everywhere).
So are Friday 13th, Mortal Kombat or any game featuring beheadings banned in certain countries? Genuine question.

Maybe a Five Nights suit for the Clown...

I put a Kate on a hook and her hair temporary went west.

I always thought that Dead by Daylight was more sinister and grisly than Friday 13th. Even though F13 had those gory kills, with DBD you have a bleak, humourless atmosphere mixed with horrific imagery.
With F13 it had more of a lighthearted feel with the (annoying) emotes and over the top costumes. The councillors being able to talk also gave them character.
Both games are rated 18. I see no reason why DBD can't feature heads being eaten. I mean the area is fully covered, it's not like we're witnessing somebody having their head decapitated in full view.
Sometimes decapitations can be seen as somewhat 'humorous'. What's more brutal? Jason punching some guys' head clean off (with no gore) or Jigsaw slashing Detective Tapp's throat with a retractable blade, with blood flowing from the wound as Tapp tries desperately to hold on to life.
The Jurrasic Park and Jaws films featured decapitation scenes too, and at one time they were rated as PG.
Maybe it's a Stranger Things factor...SF is a 15 rated show which whilst featuring some violent scenes, doesn't contain scenes of extreme violence.

*Here's an idea I posted a week or so ago:*
Maybe the whole twist with Pennywise is that whilst fear is what makes him stronger, to deplete his 'fear power' you have to display certain types of bravery. But by doing so, you put yourself at more risk of being attacked but with less force.
Running from Pennywise would be seen as fear. Hiding from Pennywise would be seen as fear. Failing skill checks and running away would be seen as fear.
Unhooking survivors would be seen as bravery. Staying on a generator after a missed skill check would be seen as bravery. Performing tasks whilst in Pennywise's terror radius would seen as bravery.
The higher survivors' fear levels are, the stronger Pennywise's power is.
Pennywise could use certain items to increase survivors' fear levels. He could leave blood filled red balloons around the map which explode at close proximity .
As Pennywise's power gets higher, the more supernatural traps and visions appear around the map. This could make survivors overall efficiency decrease and have them cry out for help. It could also effect generators, vault windows and lockers.

What? Freddy is great now. He was absolutely crapè before.
-
Beer.
-
As long as Pinhead, Alien and (eventually) Jason get in, I don't need anymore licensed killers. I would be happy with what we've got.
-
Salt. Mines.
-
If you bag the tea. If you point the locker. If you click the flashlight. You die.
-
I was just remarking how fun Freddy is now. And with the two power options he's really cool.
He's in my top 3.
-
It's The Donald.
-
I'm playing Killer to get the hatch close trophy and with Survivor for the protective hit trophy.
Trying to unlock the last of Demogorgon's perks and the remaining Survivor perks.
Really enjoying playing as Freddy overall. What a fantastic rework.
Looking forward to double blood.
-
It would be hilariously odd to see a Raptor in a Jurrasic Park map with Dennis Nedry as the survivor (with 'Magic Word', 'Don't Get Cheap On Me' and 'Fetch The Stick' perks).
-
Whenever DBD or any usually online game becomes infuriating...take a break. If I start getting cheesed off with DBD, I play something less intense and chill.

I agree but since I’m not finding any good use for portals I’m personally not feeling it too much. Portals to me feel like well let’s teleport here to see if someone’s around. And if no one is there I’m now searching for people wasting time when I know I could have walked to areas where I know there is a big possibility that they would be there but dont have a portal in.
at least with Freddy I can fake teleport people off gens or chase someone into a gen then teleport to it and if they see it I can always cancel. Once you go into the portal for the demo that’s that. Can’t go back or anything.
If you get down to two survivors and 1 gen remaining (3 on map)...it's party time 🤭 with good add-ons and perks (maybe Surveillance and Nurse's Call), it's best to jump between 3 portals. If the survivor actually breaks one...just run over and place it again. It hasn't failed me yet.
-
If I see a survivor being blocked in, locker pointed or revealed by a doofus survivor...I have a hook with 'doofus survivor' written all over it.
-
The Stranger Things release is admittedly a big money grab, hence the higher price for the pack. It is a great chapter and the return on investment will come back big.
The extra Demogorgon skin isn't anything special, but avid fans will buy it. The ice cream Steve skin will be a huge seller.
Stranger Things is a popular franchise and many fans of the show play DBD. It's a great business move. #ArtOfTheDeal
-
Well, Self Care is pretty much a must for Survivors.
Nurse's Call is a right gem for stealth play killers.
-
It always used to be cool that you could bounce between DBD and F13 but nowadays F13 has atrocious wait times (the absolute worst) and obviously no new content.
It was a nice way of having a break from one or the other.
-
As much as I enjoy on occasion being a right swine with the prayer beads and Nurse's Call...I could see a reasonable argument for having the beads altered somewhat. Perhaps the add-on causes a decrease in shift time or speed etc.
-
If anything, he feels most similar to Freddy in terms if in-match mechanics.
When it comes down to the exit gates, his strategy plays like Trapper.
-
He wears a hockey mask. Hangs around his favourite summer camp. Has serious mother issues.
-
If you guys think DBD is bad, try finding a match on F13 🤭 the dust will literally start to collect on you.
To be honest I played DBD for about 4 hours today with no significant connection issues.

Yeah, let's wait for a mod or CM to respond. If not, we'll look for another way to do it. Congratulations!
Thanks a lot for the prize! That's great. Top bloke.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the giveaway.
I, personally, went through all the responses in this thread. It was fun to read everybody's reasons on why they love this amazing game called Dead By Daylight. After reading all the responses, I learnt that there's one thing in common and that is the love for the development team, the game's characters, the friendships people have built and the role of the community in helping eachother that keeps us together despite our differences in opinions. With this, I would like to say that it was really tough to choose from so many responses. It doesn't matter if you win or don't, you're always getting a lot of invaluable experience with this game, and like me, you can always give back to the community in your own unique way.
So, without further ado, the winners, in no particular order are the the following :
Congratulations to all the winners!!
Please note that the skins you will be rewarded will be randomly chosen by me. Let me figure out a way to give y'all the codes. But it'd be easier and would make sense if a mod or a CM helped me inbox the codes to you guys directly on the forums.
@Peanits @MandyTalk @Gay Myers (Luzi) @Not_Best_Impressed @not_Queen @Patricia
Wow thank you, that's fantastic. Thanks so much. Look forward to the new skin. 😃 Top dude!

I fear the end days are upon us.
-
Yes 100%. Got Steve's yesterday on PS4 via the hatch. Also got 'So Alone' via the hatch.

Swf. However there was only two of us and two randoms. I used a toolbox on it if that makes a difference.
Hmm. Try it on a solo match. Should work.

I actually did do the whole gen by myself. And escaped by the gates so not sure. Maybe it was just bugged.
That is odd. Was it a straight game or a swf?

Yes I did. Although I have gotten some Adepts with the hatch.
Adepts and So Alone will both work via hatch.
With the So Alone try doing the whole gen by yourself as it's a solo gen. As soon as the map opens up make your way there. Maybe doing the whole gen yourself is a factor.
-
The generator in the lodge can be risky due to it being central, the lodge having various entrances and the progress of the gen can be heard as the killer patrols the exterior. It's perhaps the trickest gen.
-
Thing is that some killers see 4 identical Claudettes with flashlights and reach for the -exit- button.
-
Yep match making is totally random. Had level 2s with level 15s. Absolutely bonkers.
-
I will only do it if I can wear a baseball hat, blow a whistle and order you to hit the showers if you get Entity Displeased.
-
It's all PG Tips, Tetley and Twinnings when it comes to teabaggery of cleansing the Ruin totem early...but when it comes down to NOED because these comedy legends didn't bother breaking the dulls...then the tea has a few scoops of salt in it.
-
Would work with BBQ&C.
Could call it Hushed Hook.
-
All killers should have unique chase music. Licensed killers should have their trademark chase theme whilst non-licensee killers should all have an individual version of the original chase theme.
-
I would like it, but we shouldn't pay anything for music.
-
I'm a level 14 killer and was going against levels as low as 2 yesterday. When I got Adept Demogorgon there was a level 5 on the menu. All a bit nuts.
-
Like Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap 😄
Or...when they escape through the gates they simply run in to another map and the gates close behind them.
Maybe when they jump down a hatch, they fall in to another map.
And when they actually get sacrificed or killed...the entity brings them back to another map for more suffering.
All very bleak I suppose. They never truly escape.
-
This needs to be put in. It would greatly expand the overall player base.
-
Agreed Pig needs some work when it comes to the Reverse Bear Trap element. There is no pressure when EGC starts.
-
Yamaoka Estate is the worst for me. Followed by the lovely cornfields.
