Clown and Hillbilly.
I don't give two hoots about survivors. They're just meat.

I read your comment on why you like it, and that genuinely sounded fun. But I don't like when there is only 1 killer and that is Jason.
Well that is one thing DBD has/had over F13: a diverse selection of original and licensed characters.

F13 was always super glitchy and unbalanced. Also in my opinion the F13 movies are overrated.
True it was very glitchy, but in some odd way the glitches often made it even more funnier. We used to all fall apart when the car started doing forward flips or a survivor was floating around the camp in a seated position.
It's shame it couldn't of been throughly fixed and not be blighted by the lawsuit.
In regards to the films, I find them enjoyable but the tongue is firmly in the cheek π
-
I'm currently saving up my bloodpoints for the Silent Hill characters. A bloodpoint weekend would of been welcomed but oh well.
-
Friday 13th used to give a cosy feeling, sitting there...making friends in the lobbies...drinking some beer...it was fun.
It was also much more funnier and scarier than DBD.
It was genuinely exciting when a new DLC was being released with all the easter eggs and little details.
Great days. Miss them.

Sorry to be a downer, but realistically:
Sidney won't be in as they couldn't get the Scream license for the actual killer. I doubt BHVR would go back and try and get another character from the franchise if they were unsuccessful the first time.
Sally isn't as memorable as other 'final girl' survivors on a mainstream view. Leatherface was released without a map or a survivor. That's questionable. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise is another which has it's properties dotted around and could be tricky to acquire.
Nancy Thompson is from the 1984 film. It wouldn't make sense to have a 1984 character with the 2010 version of Freddy. I'm sure they would of gone for the original version if they could of in the first place.
-
Its all so tiresome π
-
Highly unlikely seeing as Ghostface came in as an original character unassociated with the Scream franchise.

It's all so tiresome π

In the wraith's lore RIPPED SOMEONE'S HEAD OFF WITH HIS BEAR HANDS!
Remember the skull on his weapon he got from justly killing a mobster unarmed whose murders called the entity to take and corrupt the wraith(Remember the wraith was a tricked innocent that avenged the murdered).
As for @Dr_Loomis for legion if it wasn't for the entity's intervention all 4 of them(The entity separates them but without it all 4 would fight together) would gang up on David and easily overwhelm him.
For as weak as they are individually all four of them would be able to pin any survivor down long enough for the survivor to be knocked out.
Well I was speaking about one on one, but I reckon David could probably beat up all four of them at the same time.
I have personally witnessed brawls where one bloke has took out several other guys. I think a seasoned street fighter wouldn't break a sweat over 4 edgey teens.

DBD For Sure. Friday the 13 is a Trash Game
Well that's certainly a matter of opinion π

To be fair, Friday 13th was my main escape game until the DLC and player base started drying up.
Beer, snacks, head phones...all good fun.
-
I wouldn't say DBD is a valid form of relaxation therapy, it's more like something more fun to occupy your time. When I play DBD, I usually forget about any trivia issues. And the odd occupying beer helps πΊ

Wraith is a thin man, and his ability to be stealthy doesn't help in a fight since you can still see and harm him during the cloak, so I'd argue he's only a 50/50.
Considering Hillbilly owns the perk Enduring, I'd argue he could take a bunch of hits, despite his basic stature, making him comparable to Trapper.
The rest though, I agree with.
Crap. Forgot about Hillbilly π I'll go and edit.

Using DBD as an escape to forget the fact that we live inside a simulation? Yeah.
Yeah but if I start chasing people with chainsaws I'll get in trouble! π₯

Haha...that is so true!! I had a match where I think I hit 5 greats back-to-back. Went to the next gen and swung for the fences, only to miss my skill check!
Yep. That's why I use Stake Out for any 'great skill checks' tome challenges. Always play it safe π
-
I sometimes get a flurry of around 3 greats in a row.
But usually if I try and get greats...I fail π
-
They could do a lookalike skin and spare the licensing cost.
You can't copyright a crop top and a pair of shorts. Just put it together and call it something else.
-
I have previously mentioned ideas about a chapter based on The Thing.
As others have pointed out, there could be issues with SWF and communication.
So instead of The Thing, maybe it could be an original concept: the killer can shift in to objects rather than survivors.
The killer could be hidden as a totem/chest/pallet...maybe gens and hooks too.
-
I have a couple of games in the morning before I go to work. Finishing off those challenges.
-
Although I don't believe they should be removed/nerfed, Moris can be irritating when on the receiving end.
Had an Iridescent Head Huntress today...who also had ebony mori AND NOED. They had obviously come prepared. After offing all survivors sans myself, the Huntress started humming over the map looking for me. Thing is...I heard the welcome drone of the hatch. In I went, wee wee wee...all the way home.
-
Small Game.
Saboteur.
Plunder's Instinct.
Wake Up.
Goodbye Totes. Goodbye hooks. Hello chests. Hello Gates.
Yeah great perk build...but easier to just have a map π
-
I couldn't get in to the first one (was a psn monthly).
-
As well as the 5 hour streamers, we also have the DBD Darlings who release a DBD 'news' video with a misleading 'clickbait' title...and throughout the video (naturally after listing their Twitch, Patreon and other associated media in 'the description below'), go on about possibilities of what could be included in the game.
Bravo fella. We do that enough on here. Maybe we should all become YouTubers.

Imagine deathslinger realing in demo or oni...
And Deathslinger has a gammy leg, would be at a disadvantage. He could also be ambushed when reeling in another killer.

I'd be cool with legendary Hoffman skin. Idk, the fat cop pig profile was silly to me. I enjoyed 123 more than 456+7.
It'd be cool to see and hear the boop of Hoffman's snoot. I think that'd help convince me.
Problem is that Amanda is 107lbs (listed) whilst Hoffman is an absolute unit. It would be hard for him hide in the long grass etc.
I wasn't so much a fan of 3/4/5...but I have a soft spot for 6/7...there's another unpopular opinion right there π

######### Hoffman.
Gordon was the one true disciple.
Hoffman is the ultimate killer.
The voice recognition scene in part 6...solidified his status as an supreme alpha. And then he continues whooping in part 7. Hoffman = the man.

Amanda should not of been Pig.
Hoffman should have.

In all seriousness, though, this sounds like another one of those situations where survivors just expect the killer to surrender.
Here's a situation that comes up occasionally:
Exit gates are open. Killer hooks someone. BBQ (or whatever aura reading) shows that the 1-3 remaining survivors are at the exit gate.
What's the play here? Be honest, what is the best - or only - play for the killer in this situation?
The main hemorrhoid in this situation is the other survivors' reluctance to attempt any sort of rescue. Granted, sometimes the killer has NOED, or the remaining survivor/s are on their death hook etc. They may suspect the killer has Blood Warden or they could be doing an escape challenge, who knows. But I remain with the belief that getting hooked (usually 1st hook) after all the gens are done, with the killer hovering around the hook like a fly around a lamp while my fellow teammates engage in a yoga seminar at the exit games, is supremely lame.
But saying that, if I'm killer and I know the survivors are close by (with the would be rescuer ITCHING to use their Borrowed Time, take a hit and Dead Hard out the gates), I will stick around in the hope of picking up another or "guarding my hunt".
But either way you look at it: it's lame for the hooked survivor.

Yeah, I hate it when killers do crazy things. Securing kills, for example. It's insane!
Survivors deserve to survive, it's right there in their name!
π
-
It's supremely lame when killers camp the hook to guarantee one sacrifice. Basically solidifying their status as a failure and desperation that they 'have to get someone!'
It's especially eye-ball rolling when you've pretty much carried the match with repairs and rescues, and get caught with your first hook, and the killer gets comfy and sets up camp. Then here comes the cherry on the cake: the other remaining survivors don't even entertain the idea of going for a save: nope, they're running through the exit gates or waiting there to teabag the killer.
All good fun.
-
I agree.
It is irritating as killer to get 'served a strike' but at least it eases hook tunneling somewhat.
Remember what it was before? You could use it after just being downed first time. That was a right bumritto.
-
I used Inner Strength coupled with Small Game or a map quite a lot. Was good way of eliminating NOED. But I've since gone back to Self-Care and don't care if that's frowned upon.
Red Herring and For The People were fun for about 2 matches.

@xenofon13 said:
Yeah, some of these challenges are dumb.
"Grab 2 survivors in a single match using discordance" I farmed. I'm not gonna play 20 matches for this.
"Grab one survivor using iron maiden" Farmed.
The Dwight challenge is dumb too, but i managed to complete this first try easily by following the killer on 3 hooks without getting caught and throwing the game while using urban evasion and fixated.
Yeah I farmed for those first two. I'm not going to spend ages playing (and waiting in lobbies) only to be glitched out.

Indeed, so what is then a killer briefing??
Maybe downing, dropping, not hooking, downing, dropping, downing.. the same surv 50 times in a match?
Griefing? I suppose that is just someone who just goes around irritating others in online games, whilst not necessarily committing bannable offences. General trolling and unsportsmanlike behaviour. Irritating, but not always bannable.
-
Even though it's frowned upon, I don't think any action should go forward on killers who play nice but strike at the exit gates.
I mean, as a killer their meant to be deceitful and heartless.
-
A big old fish and chips would go down well right now. Salt, vinegar and ketchup. Nice cold bottled beer on the side.
-
2018 versions of Laurie and Michael would surely be normal skins as they're a different version of the same character. It's like with Jake: we have normal and old versions of him.
To qualify as 'Legendary', I wager it would have to be a whole new character, eg Laurie legendary skins could be Annie, Lynda or even π Dr Loomis.

Challenges are killing the game. So many players are playing so selfishly and dumb just to do challenges.
Even though I've got Platinum, I'm still got one trophy remaining: Taking One For The Team.
This is another challenge/achievement/trophy which promotes reckless behaviour. To my credit, I'm using Borrowed Time. But because I'm striving towards it, I'm putting myself in some hairy situations.
I had two games last night, and on both occasions I ate my first hook...and the other survivors, without any hook camping or threat, ran around doing gens, totems etc. One was blatantly doing the touch 5 gens for one min challenge. I died after being hooker once, two matches in a row, as my teammates ran around doing silly crap. I expect this is attributed to challenges too.
-
I can only imagine someone popping on DBD for a casual game.
All snuggled up. Cup of herbal tea with a couple biccies. Listening to a bit of whale song. Scented candles around the room.
First game: they get flash-stunned/bodyblocked or tunneled/mori'ed in to the next universe.
Sitting there, rocking back and forth, in total shock, fixated at the post-match screen with less than 10,000 blood points acquired from their drubbing.
-
It's been out for 20+ years mate.
π
-
Sorry to disappoint, but I very much doubt devs would grant this any attention due to it being Jeepers Creepers. He's not getting in.
-
Agreed. Some of the challenges are just silly.
It's almost as if BHVR are looking at original types of challenges with each passing Tome, kind of like bringing out a new perk: it doesn't work well, but it's something different.
I just left the silver/gold emblem and unhooking/hooking challenges to do as 'simply play the game' dailies.
There's a difference between making an interesting, novel, fun challenge and having something completely frustrating.
