  • I play on console, so moonwalking is a little more difficult for me. I find it easier to bait pallet drops as well

  • It can be good for mind gaming corners at LT walls and jungle gyms, plus the bp bonus is always nice although hunter is the easiest category to max out

Wouldn't Hunter be better? He can climb and jump walls more easily.

While Hunter would be cool, I think it'd be a little OP to have a Killer that can jump halfway across the map. He would really struggle on indoor maps as well. Just picture, Jockey with his insidious cackle for his TR, jumping onto a Survivor and leading them helplessly to a disadvantageous area unless they wiggle free or are pallet/flashlight saved. He could jump (basically Demo's 'Shred', but vertical) over LT walls or into second-story windows and literally get the jump on an unsuspecting victim. After some thought, the hook animation might be a little funky, but he could just grab the top of the hook post and yeet them up. His Mori could be just mercilessly pounding and jumping on them.

  • I just think if the Killers get this new feature, so should Survivors...or better yet, just put the can of worms back on the shelf and leave it there.

  • I've always thought Jockey from Left 4 Dead 2 would be awesome!

    lifeguard_jockey__life_s_a_beach__4597_0.jpg
  • It's suggested he's from Africa because his last name 'Ojomo' means 'change, freedom or risk' in Nigerian. Guess we'll find out!

  • *********SPOILER ALERT************

    https://youtu.be/ZUWwb6FDCOw

From what I've heard on Paulie Esther's YT channel: Wraith, Hag, Ace and Meg are the next Tome.

  • Another underrated perk I find useful against Rin is 'Fixated': lose LoS and scooch on out of the area when she phases. It also helps with manipulating scratch marks since you can see how they spawn. Won't work EVERY time but it definitely helps

  • All-Seeing Wraith and Scratched Mirror Mikey on an indoor map would be horrifying

  • @Dreamnomad 100% with you, man. I would be incredibly disappointed if that was one of the serious contenders to be included in the game. I would much rather see Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd than that crap

  • @ALostPuppy Demogorgon IS in a good spot, doesn't really need much changed but I don't play them enough to fairly evaluate past that point. @Endstille You can apply your strategy to ANY Killer and if you can't stalk properly then yeah, I suppose Survivors can deny his power...I'm guessing you haven't been matched with a good example. I can agree to an extent with your choice of Trapper although I wish he had at least one more trap to start off with.

  • @malloymk I wouldn't say he's the weakest by any means and the fact his perk/addon synergies aren't OP further prove he's balanced. You can either snowball or be looped to oblivion...it's all in how you mind game.

  • I give up trying to converse with you @Endstille, I'm trying to have an intelligent conversation and all you're providing is irrelevant info. Please move along if you can't read/answer posts fully before spouting off. I get it, you disagree with my opinion and that's fine, but just saying 'Nope, he sucks' is both unproductive and irrelevant to the thread topic. So who do you think is the most balanced killer?

  • @SweetTerror (Before I comment, I do not wish to make this another 'Freddy op pls nerf' thread) I would argue he is the least balanced, he has the most bloated basekit of any Killer and his addons make him god-tier for minimal effort and no repercussions to his ability. If they gave him a slight slowdown while placing snares and added 20 seconds to the passive sleep timer, I would agree with you

  • @Endstille So what, in your opinion, makes a 'good killer'? 4ks? The devs have stated that two kills should be the average game results. Myers DOES have tools to help him win chases, you just have to tier up his power. EW II gives you a slight speed and lunge increase and EW III makes you a complete monster for a minute and he has addons to further increase these attributes. I'm not saying he's the BEST, all around he is just that perfect middle ground for Killer standards. Hag is right there with him too, unfortunately they are rare to encounter in my experience.

  • @Endstille Are you sure you just aren't that good with him? On average I at least 2k every match unless I'm just fooling around. I respect your opinion but please provide some insight instead of childish insults, thanks

  • If they fix Huntress' hatchet hit detection, I'd be inclined to agree. @GoodBoyKaru She throws whales, not beach balls lol.

  • They've already stated that they won't touch Jeepers Creepers, but a Scarecrow would be cool. Have decoys you can teleport to that give aura reading with addons. I think a perk that makes crows follow people for a bit when disturbed would be awesome as well

  • He has enough in his bloated basekit

  • @Kall Tank would be awesome too, send people flying and have the ability to carry two Survivors simultaneously...just possibilities off the top of my head, but it could work!

  • I personally think Jockey would be a better pick for Killer but definitely agree a full L4D chapter would be awesome! Just make Jockey the size of Hag, have that maniacal laughter of his for the terror radius and for the power just make it kinda like Demogorgon's Shred but more vertical and shorter distance. In addition, when he lands on a Survivor, they have to wiggle free or have a teammate use pallet/flashlight to save them before being incapacitated. Dead Center or the Parish bridge could be cool maps too!

  • Soo can Zarina get one? Escaped multiple times with the crown and haven't received it yet

  • Yeah, though I hear a typical 'Git gud' coming, it gets pretty stale being flatout tunneled by him 10 games in a row. Not all matches have been that way, but most people just pick the brainless tunnel route instead of exploring build combos and finding ways to fully wield his power.

  • I think he's cool, just unfortunate how easy it is to tunnel with him and that's what most people (in my experience) do.

  • I know this is a joke, but I find Urban is extremely useful for stealthing around a gen when the Killer is nearby and with Pyramid Head's 'Rite's of Judgment', I see another useful application for the Perk. It's not the Perk that's bad, it's the user.

  • IMG_17ef268f-7d36-448c-b466-dd53724a93e0.png

Note that it just says Perks and not Offerings, just saying.

  • @Peanits @Almo Could you please answer this? My thread seems to have been buried. Thank you for your time.

  • @Doddle28 I've actually gotten away quite a few times because of it working with Flip-Flop honestly lol

  • So far I'm finding that if you bait a loop and then go to another one until he uses his power up, chases last a bit longer at least. You want to try wasting it as much as possible before actually attempting to loop.

  • @Orion I'm not 'discontent' with it, just fail to see the point. As far as orientation/lifestyle goes...potato/potato if you ask me. But I'll just go ahead and leave it at that, have a good day!

  • @Orion Because the forums are flooded with these threads all of a sudden. Nothing against anyone, it's their lifestyle and no one elses business. I just don't see the point in giving sexuality to virtual characters on a screen is all

  • I'm gonna go with the people saying who gives a #########, it's a video game

  • @Clevite Another good combo with Spirit is Bloodhound (Wraith perk) and Sloppy Butcher with Father's Glasses...they can manipulate scratch marks, but that blood trail goes with 'em👍

  • @Frankie Not out of intimidation, you clearly have experience in dumb arguments and I'm trying to have an intelligent conversation.

  • @Frankie Yet another insightful response, I'll go ahead and drop it because clearly it's not worth my time arguing with you. I didn't say he was OP though

  • @Frankie Not gonna repeat myself so please read my previous posts before you just start assuming stuff. Thanks

  • True, but no other Killer can instantly mute their TR, crouch and one-shot someone with the exception of Piggy equipped with a perk that triggers Exposed. When he's revealed, so is the Survivor so you just have to be careful when you use Night Shroud that it's not the one you just hooked so you have another person to hook. That's easier said than done most times depending on the map layout, but that's where RNG and map awareness come in. I truly get the frustration and not saying he's in a perfect spot, because he could use a little touching up with his reveal mechanics.

  • @JPLongstreet While they are rare, they're out there. I think people would just rather play another Killer that isn't such a headache to master. Blinking through the Exit Gates with NOED and Blood Warden equipped and then waiting for them to come to you is absolutely hilarious and my favorite thing to do with her.

  • @SweetTerror Why not? Aren't they still in the game even though they're just hanging out? With SwF on comms, it doesn't matter which Killer you're playing, you already have a full plate to deal with. Ghostface is ENTIRELY designed on being sneaky and getting the jumpscares. You can't play every Killer the same way.

But back to the thread topic, just thought I'd add how amazing Stake Out, Diversion and Breakout synergize. I generally throw Mettle of Man in the 4th slot because inevitably you're gonna get smacked.

The face camping should be a clear sign that bubba does indeed need a rework. I also unfortunately see a lot of camping with Ghostface which drives me absolutely nuts! Because while it is frustrating, I do agree that a hooked survivor looking at you shouldn't be able to cancel your "stealth mode".

Agreed on reworking Bubba, don't agree with Ghostface's stealth being cancelled though. If you stealth in someone's LoS regardless of being hooked you aren't exactly being stealthy. If you're gonna proxy camp, at least go around a corner or something...be stealthy. My favorite thing to do with Ghostface (although doesn't work as much as I would like) is sneak to the opposite side of a gen someone's working on and Stalk them when they aren't looking my way. It's priceless watching them mess up a skill check running away when they realize I was there the whole time and 99'd Marking them.

Freddy isn't OP. If you disagree you're wrong. You will always be wrong.

    Get good.

Wow, what an insightful and productive addition to this thread. Honestly have a hard time taking anyone seriously when this is their only response. If you're actually taking time to respond, at least provide some insight. This is similar to a Killer that facecamps someone or a Survivor teabagging at the Exit Gate and then afterwards says 'gg ez' ...no #########, you didn't do anything but gawk and make a dumb comment.

  • @Maperson Didn't they make Clown's Tonic more disorienting recently? Rarely see a Clown to really say for sure, but maybe slightly increasing base movement speed on both him and Bubba would change their campy playstyles. But that's also entirely up to who's playing them as well.

  • @Maperson Not saying they should take those away, simply give him the same slowdown every other Killer has when using their abilities. Nothing major, just something similar to maybe (just an example, don't shoot me people) Plague charging Vile Purge or something and increasing the passive sleep timer to 80 seconds would be ideal, since it matches gen times (obviously without a toolbox/gen perks).

As for which Killers I would buff: Trapper, Legion, Nurse and Demogorgon. I know Trapper just got that slight QoL buff with resetting traps, but he should at least start with two traps. Nurse, while she is supposed to be tough to master but ultimately oppressive in good hands, could use some small improvements to her addons. Same can be said for Legion and Demogorgon. They did an amazing job with Doc's rework, though yes, he's still annoying to face, Killers are supposed to be oppressive powerhouses you should fear. Can't remember the last time I was actually hesitant to be chased by any of the above.

  • @LordRegal Devour Hope is completely fine because they EARNED their stacks and SHOULD be oppressive. Not to mention, it can be taken away within seconds of the game starting due to bad totem placements. Almost every time I use it, this is the case. On to the topic though, I agree with everyone saying the Ebony Mori should only be available after hooking someone for the second time and Keys should only work for the Survivor that used it though. (Side note: Green Keys should differ in appearance to Skeleton/Dull Keys)

  • @Maperson I don't think he is too OP, as I said, he just has WAY more in his base kit and no drawbacks with the passive sleep timer or slowdowns when using abilities. I understand each Killer is played differently, but everyone else has SOME sort of drawback when using their power. To the people that simply say, "Just wake up", it's not always that easy to do when he has essentially infinite map pressure, extreme loop counters and passively gets the Oblivious effect every 60 seconds. More Killers need to be buffed to somewhat his tier.

  • Too bad most people that play Bubba (in my experience) think you have to face/proxy camp to secure kills...he comes with one of the best Killer perks imo for tracking other Survivor's after hooking one (With a BP bonus to boot). He's actually fun to play as but I don't generally choose him due to DC rates as soon as they see who it is. I think with an upcoming chapter, they should look into making a Survivor perk that works similar to Camaraderie but with the Killer's Terror Radius instead. (Unless EGC is active, of course)

  • @Sonzaishinai Gotcha, regardless, it's a clunky combo that imo wastes two perfectly good perk slots, but to each their own. Now that we're done splitting hairs, can we get back on topic? 😁

  • I think the passive sleep timer needs increased. Unless you're working on a gen with another Survivor, there is no way to finish a gen without having to drop everything and run ALL the way across the map to wake up. He simply has WAY more in his base kit than any other Killer and other Killers actually have to strategize and counter for their hooks while being punished for missing their abilities. Not Freddy though, as someone else mentioned, you just snare spam the crap out of loops until Bloodlust triggers and BAM, easy hook. Teleport across the map, rinse, repeat. Mind-numbingly boring and easy to play...I'd take a P3-50 Spirit any day over a Freddy

    Up to ante 9% luck + 4% base = 13%

    6 attemps

    So 13% on first try, ~24.3% second try, ~34.1% third try, ~42.6% 4th try, ~50% 5th and ~56.5% on the 6th

Not going to do the rest but seems accurate to me, very gimmicky build but looks fun if you can convince your entire team to do it. Not having to bother resqueing the first hook on the entire team for 2 perk slots per survivor and the offerings is not too shabby tbh

I don't think that's how percentages work, but ok

Edit: Figured I'd add to my comment instead of just saying 'nope', each attempt has a 13% success rate, so for each time you try, you have that percent of a chance to unhook yourself. It does not stack up each time, it just doesn't. Sorry

No this is actually how it works. With 6 attempts your total change to escape from the hook is 56.6%

I can understand the confusion though math is hard. Took me forever untill i understood these calculations

I don't think that's how percentages work, but ok
