Yeah because survivors not being able to escape fairly can be put on hold. Multiple fixes can be done at a time and some are easier than others.
Sounds do need a fix, I know that. But you're saying that if anything gets fixed before sounds then it's a problem.
Sounds can take days, weeks even months to fix
I think although this is right, i can see what the other said. There are times where a killer or two have been bugged for what feels like a month or more and the survivors get a bit more important with bugs.
Although its not wrong to focus on the majority over minority, the minority will often feel disrespected more often.

I didn't mean disrespect and I have already reported it. :)
Hope a post gets the attention on this cause none have been made about it. I'll try editing to make it more bareable. :) thanks!
I meant no harm. This is slightly baity tho haha.
Not that i mean it. I was also posting that out of obligation to remind people a bug is not a fix
-
@Carlosylu said:
Most of them are filled with bugs now, LMAO, it's unplayable as survivor, you go through the ground, you can't wiggle off and if you do you get trapped, you have to vault two times a window to actually vault it, damn... Nice hot fix...
Check my comment below for an example on Autoheaven
I know normally your not like this but we both know bug =/= fixed or reworked

sure, but they are down 1 or more survivors doing so as that 1 or more survivors is going for boxes.
So yeah it would be slow down... Albiet i have seen survivors just hammer out gens even when they are the one with the RBT which may be one kill if they aren't fast enough.
-
@ZoneDymo said:
Well how does it not slow down the game.... when in principle it prevents progression of the game?
That said, I do feel that activation after 30 seconds and every gen being done after reducing the time you left to get it off, is a cool update for her.
"Prevents progression" not really when in most cased in most matches the other survivors will still pop gens

Meme Post BTW.
NoED is pure evil! it is the source of cooties in killers! And guess what? if the killer hits you while they have noed active, not only will you get instadowned, but you will also get cooties too!
We must stop this cootie plague! Bring your totem cleansing perks and help me rid the world of the cootie scourge known as NoED!!!
Here are the required perks!
Detectives Hunch: To get the exact location of totems around the map.
Small Game: To help locate totems if no gens have been popped recently
Inner Strength: Because we need to need some inner strength if we are going to survive the cooties outbreak.
The fourth perk can be whatever you want. But If you want to be a real big boi, just use WGLF or no perk.
This post is amusing tbh. I like how you just doing this to meme it up

Slugging isnt outplaying survivors. Its outdoing basic game mechanics and just scummy play as killer. The only thing that needs to be fixed is that slugging shouldnt be possible like it actually is. Its not fun to lay on the ground half the game til a sweaty killer got his "will".
You realize devs and mods said to slug to apply some pressure?

You're asking for the entire game to be changed. The whole point of the game is that killers are faster and as the survivor you have to strategically out maneuver them via looping and pallets. If they were the same speed then no one would ever get caught. The only way a killer could catch a survivor off guard is if they got rid of the terror radius and perks such as spine chill.
Do you want a game where you just run around faster than the killer, don't get caught, and win every game? This game is challenging for both killers and survivors, it wouldn't be fun if it was a win every time.
There would literally be no point in playing if the devs were to take your suggestions into consideration.
I hope the guy is baiting or trollinh because im laughing pretty hard at this.

@BulletsNonstop said:
killers need to be slowed down too. It’s kinda ridiculous that they can keep up with survivors. F13, Jason’s really slow. Even if survivors can just be a tad bit faster (especially since they can’t really defend themselves other than DS - which requires you to get caught first 🤦🏽 Smh, And pallets which don’t really do much good. Although pallet looping is nice I really don’t think killers should be as fast as survivors since they have the ability to catch you off guard and have a pretty easy time cutting you off on chases.
Is this bait i see?

Yeah I thought the question was simple enough, but there's tons of people here talking about what they would want.
You see plenty from the FNaF crowd coming to try to discuss the lore and whatnot, and go off topic, rather than just answer the question asked. There's a reason why I answered "FNaF" to the post the way I did, and this is part of it.
Err sorry i sparked that i just was wondering how would it even work in the dbd realm.

The only one that I want is Phantasm. Literally don't care about anything else. I've seen a lot of suggestions, the same names usually pop-up - Leprechaun, Child's Play, Stephen King's IT, etc. None of that interests me in the slightest.
The Tall Man as the Killer with the Sphere for a Mori & Reggie as the Survivor with the Morningside Mausoleum as the map. That's what I want.
M slightly confused since this is a dont want licenced thread so im guessing your plainly saying you "want" and not "what i want to not be licensed" what is phantasm btw?

Why am I penalized for hiding? Stupid.

Yes to everything, that's my point, the game needs fixes, it's not the players fault, and if we continue to act as if it is, this game is gonna loose more and more players every day...
"most survivors that bring them in don’t consider how the killer feels, so why should the killer consider their feelings?" As I said: "I politely ask you, survivors, not to bring in more than 2 toolboxes per lobby as a help for killers not to use childish behaviours like lobby dodging, tunneling or face camping as a complain against Ruin nerf." I'm asking conduct changes for both roles.
I'm in for both sides man, and please don't generalize, there obviously are a few players who care about each other, but I'm one of them, just look at the first comment vid on this thread.
Here is the thing. I dont camp and the amount of times i tunnel are very often, those moments that aren't really tunneling but since i found the one just getting unhooked and not the one who unhooked the survivor. But to some people this is a "survivor problem" because the reason why ruin was nerfed. It was for survivors, so in some twisted logic its smart to "make them pay" which is stupid. I wanna have fun while killing not set there brain dead

@Unicorn said:
Why is this Wraith's behavior being defended so hard? Survivors wouldn't have to behave the way they did if this Killer didn't initiate it. I swear everything a Killer does is always right, even when its wrong.
I am more intrested in if the wraith gets banned would it be due to obvious greifing or "holding the game hostage" although it being a mix of both sides. Causing it?

It's a combination of factors. Self-Care being so highly used isn't a big deal, because it's not breaking anything. But Ruin being so highly used was more of an issue because of its warping effect on the entire game experience.
I mean i understand why ruin was nerfed i just think it was handled poorly and was worded poorly. It should have been nerfed it when why it was used was fiddled with too instead of dropping it like it was hot while having no protection.

It's already confirmed. It is bannable. I linked the quote above from Peanits, along with a link to the direct quote from him in an older thread posted months ago. This is not acceptable behavior.
Here is me saying this advanced
I am not defending the way this wraith is playing im just possible debating the reason as to how he is going to be banned
It probably is bannable due to Griefing not holding the game hostage, since with EGC it makes it harder to call this holding the fame hostage in this scenario. Becauae the other survivors have the means to end it

I'm not sure if all Killers should get a buff to be where he is at right now, or Doctor needs a nerf.
It just doesn't feel fair that a new player to doctor can get a 3-4k against red ranks with just 1 perk Monitor and Abuse
Then that isn't a killer problem it's the players in the match.

You really think that the trash killers are in the rank they "belong" Rank has nothing to do with skill? It doesn't, I'm a crappy killer main and I'm always in purple and red ranks lol. Come back when you played the game for six months or so and tell me that Rank is the amount of skill lol😂😂😂😂😂
And atm ranks dont matter even if skill reflected it due to the elephant in the room. Soon as matchmaking is fixed maybe OP can actually say "trash killers are where they belong" although it's off topic.
I can reach red ranks and i call myself a potato.
-
I know this may be perceived as an unfun thing but a DC should net you the complete 3 hook sacrifice on emblems(and not a 2 hook then adding another 3 hooks, just filling it up to a three book) i shouldn't be hit by someone choosing dc over hook/sacrifice and vice versa for the survivor it should be a complete emblem for escape on killer dc

When I play survivor this crap annoys me. It happens ALL the time.
When I play killer, I try to make this happen and it's usually pretty easy to do.
In the end its still mostly the survivors fault, unless you drop every chase. Which is wrong tbh. You can try to make it happen but ultimately survivors can choose what gens they do

It's okay to be bad at video games. The killers that use the ebonies know that deep down they are, and it's perfectly okay. It's just funny that they try to hide the reason they use it as the ruin nerf or gen speed.
But i thought killers already brought a crap ton of moris to be toxic, is is more no longer toxic and just "Killer bad?"

Ruin was gone early, but you sometimes would get at least several minutes out of it, which was the point. It slowed down the early game a bit. If you were lucky, it could last longer. The new one does nothing for the early game, and likely won't make it to the late game, so the new one is much worse. The risk vs reward of it being hex based is just not worth it. I still don't understand the reasoning behind that.
Yeah old ruin did help on that part.... But its still gone moat games. And still is now because its a reflex for a lot of survivors to search for ruin and spawn on it(please devs thats kinda sad) then again Ruin doesn't do much so you'll basically already using three perks, I'm trying out surveillance paired with it for an "area lockdown" but no affect on loss of ruin. So ill just use another perk(no suggestions please don't want those perks being hit)

Or you could take the advice from the devs.
- Accept you will lose 2 gens immediately
- Watch the best streamers, as this will give you the skill they have
- Git Gud

Getting better may help, gens popping is annoying but dude....
You cannot get better by WATCHING steamers skill is per person not "if i copy this guy i can get better"
-
@Advorsus that is a good thought. Might as get the most you can if your screwed ether way
-
@Advorsus said:
I'd drop the chase. If I know I'm headed to an infinite loop I'll drop the chase and apply pressure elsewhere unless they're the last survivor. Because you'll never catch them and lose objectives. Go back, hit someone that's on the gens. They either have to heal, or risk getting hit again. I don't really slug either though. I'm not making it impossible for the survivors. I'm gonna hook my downed person, then go pressure a gen. Sure it gives them more chance to win if I'm not slugging, but slugging and 3 gen together just isn't fun to anyone.
But if you do that, your sweaty, and should be banned because you aren't commiting to try and hook that person running.
Not that im discrediting you. This ia what most good killers would do
-
@AsePlayer said:
Try not camping and you'll find out that BT isn't that big of a detriment to you.
Not all cases can be because of camping. You could see a survivor who is about to hook bomb just as you hook, you hit them because they don't commit till they are hit then hooked boy DH to take the second hit and BT procs.

@Advorsus said:
You CAN get banned if you are purposefully holding people hostage and not hitting or hooking anyone. However you're not going to get banned for just slowing the game down during the mid game. If I run a 3 gen strat it usually takes 5-8 minutes to get to that mid game. Usually by this time I've already hooked a survivor and injured another. Then when I have my area I'll patrol it. It makes it more difficult to complete the objectives but not impossible. And I do engage chases and hook survivors still. But I'll have a radius that I won't go past. Survivors will try to get you to tunnel after them on the opposite side of the map in order for the other 3 to pop the remaining gens. There's nothing wrong with breaking a chase early to keep this from happening. And most of my matches don't go past 15 minutes with this strat. So yeah if you abuse it and hold them hostage, you'll get banned. But if you're just using the strategy to outsmart survivors and you still keep the game moving, i.e going for hooks and kills, you shouldn't be banned.
I see. Thank you for the info. But lets say, there is a god loop on the map. And these survivors are only running towards it, and through it to the point where if you do chase them it means dropping the gens, and a chance at the other survivors?
-

I thought queue times were fixed the day of the update, but yesterday it all went back, 10+ mins waiting as survivor and less than 1 min for killer.
As a Rank 1 killer and Rank 2 survivor I politely ask you NOT TO LOBBY DODGE, you need to learn to play against everyone, and don't come to me with your:
"WoUlDn'T yOu dOdGe A LoBbY whErE...?"
The answer is NO, I don't dodge lobbies, the only justifiable reasons to lobby dodge is Ping and knowing a guy in the game that you have played against and you know he is a toxic player or a DCer, any other reasons are just lame excuses...
In game DCing is another issue, don't get lost from the thread please...
Basically read this wrong first read i thought it said toxic players/DCers were an excuse. Re-read and saw i was wrong. I normally try not to dodge but i see a DCer and toxic kind of deserve it sometimes

When asked about if they were doing anything about Gen speeds, they said that they are reading the discussions about it, but they don't want to increase the time it takes to repair a gen, because that will make it boring to hold m1 longer. Which btw as a person who plays both killer and survivor (mainly killer), I can agree. 20-80 seconds on a gen already feels like a long time.
So instead they are looking at working on Toolboxes (which i'm sure we all can agree is a band aid solution - when the problem isn't even the toolboxes, that's just a symptom of the problem), and overtime they are going to be making the larger maps better. Which changing the maps into Killer favor gives so many buffs to killers that isn't only gen speeds.
When really the whole issue with gen speeds has always been with map size.
Yep i can understand maps being the problem. I just hope that as the others said Thana and some other perks are touched just yet. Would suck especially now since it would drive others up the wall and although id get more matches... Just the lobby sim will increase for survivors
-
@NullEXE said:
They didn't say they plan to nerf Thana, Dying Light, or Pop. That was in response to the idea of increasing Gen speeds, because if you use a build of only gen regression perks, and a generator already takes 120 seconds to repair then that makes for a very slow, very boring game.
Don't just pick a sentence out of one of their answers, and then spread it like fact like a lie.
At the same time, they plan on updating the large maps to be more in Killer's favor, which is the main problem with gen speed. It isn't the how quick you can repair a gen, but rather how fast the killer has a chance to find you.
Can i ask for some insight, i havent watched and cant atm. Did they really never say anything about it out of the context of "if gen speeds increase?"
-
@Peanits said:
I'd imagine so. Legion and Pig, I feel. Both have mechanics that force survivors off of generators, so they either have to spend time off of generators, or do the generator anyway and go down/die.
The only problem i see with thia is a lot of the time other survivors i face kind of sacrifice the survivors with the RBT in order to survive.
