Noed is a crutch perk. You get a insta down and your killer is faster. What is not crutch about this?
Let's call it a semi-crutch then, because unlike other crutch Perks, it has a counter to prevent its activation altogether.

It's a real example from a real game I played with @DocOctober. But hey, thanks for letting me know your new excuse.
I can confirm this.
And no, the "useless sacks" are actually those Survivors not spending a couple of seconds to cleanse a Totem.
It's actually you who is killing your team mates or even yourself with your tunnel-vision of Generator repairs, allowing the Killer to get some use out of NOED. Too many games end with unnecessary sacrifices, simply because you couldn't be bothered to cleanse that Totem you passed on your way to your beloved Generator.

But this is not what the Wiki says - and it's usually right. @DocOctober , you still update the wiki? You care to comment?
I haven't played the Clown for the longest time, so I can't say. Maybe something changed that I wasn't aware of.

Really, just ANY 2 killers would be too much when you think they could just take a loop in opposite directions to pincer a survivor. Even if you manage to get all the gen's done, you still have a killer for each exit gate.
2v8 or 2v10 would require new, larger Maps (at least the size of old Pale Rose) that would be exclusive to that game mode.
-
Survivors need to lose this thinking of getting everyone out at all cost, it's what quite often turns a game from 3 escapees to 3-4 sacrifices, even though the Exit Gates were long open.
In Dead by Daylight co-operation is OPTIONAL, albeit what some newer Survivors might tell you. One reason we don't have voice chat is that the idea was and still is that ultimately, each Survivor is on their own and ONLY their own survival is what matters most, not that of the other Survivors, that aren't actually team mates, but rather means and tools to facilitate your own survival.
I'll leave Survivors hanging without second thoughts if it ensures my survival and/or if a rescue attempt would likely be suicidal, and I frankly don't care if you call me an anti-mate afterwards, because the truth is, darling, you do not matter to me at that point.

Let's compare with the WCS we had before the Bloodweb rework (which happened in-between Chapters II and III).
We had 5 Killers and 6 Survivors at that time, which adds 33 (15+18) Teachable Perks to 25 (11+14) regular Perks at that time.
For Survivors, this amounted to a total of 32 Perks or 96 Perk Tiers.
For Killers, this amounted to a total of 26 Perks or 78 Perk Tiers.
So in order to get every single Perk on a Character with the original Bloodweb, you had to level your Killer 78 and your Survivor 96 times, and from level 30 onwards, the Bloodweb filled every single node (30 nodes total).
Assuming that the Entity ate on average about a third of a Bloodweb, that still left you with a Bloodweb that would cost about 116,000 Bloodpoints to complete from level 30 onwards.
"Funnily" enough, with the changes the devs made to it, the grind remained the same for up to level 30, comparing the old and the new Bloodweb, about 1 Million.
Oh, and don't forget to add 3 maxed Bloodwebs to also get the Teachables unlocked first.
All in all, it cost you approximately 7 Million Bloodpoints to get all Perks to Tier III on a Killer and approximately 9 Million Bloodpoints to do so on a Survivor, totalling up to a staggering 89 Million Bloodpoints in order to max out every single Character back then.
Nowadays, the average high-level Bloodweb costs about 50-70k Bloodpoints, so let's take 60k as the average.
We have 16 Killers and 17 Survivors, 60 Killer Perks and 65 Survivor Perks.
Adjusting the calculations accordingly, we get the following results:
Cost to max a Killer: ~10 Million
Cost to max a Survivor: ~11 Million
Cost to max all Characters: ~347 Million Bloodpoints.
All in all, the grind has gotten worse by now, because it's already been more than 1.5 years since the devs last adjusted the Bloodweb economy (happened with 1.8.2). Originally, the grind was greatly reduced, but way too much content has been added since then.
Yes, this disregards Blood Hunts (which we didn't have originally), Events, BBQ and WGLF, but those should not be fixes to this problem anyways.

Wathever you say.
I play both sides and people that are overcrying about the GhostFace changes are clearly biased and obviously want free kills since Ghostface is already pretty strong.
(Some people are suggesting that Ghostface shouldn't be able to be knocked out of his power ,so yeah, people are suggesting OP things for GF)
Im just gonna live my life and have fun with GhostFace, if you don't want to play him because he will receive bug fixes (? XD) then it's bad for you.
You're the one losing here ^^
Besides, mine was only a joke ,no need to take it that personal.
There's a big reason why I do not believe that you play both sides, at least not to the same extent. Never has anyone but a biased Survivor main claimed that all that Killer players want are OP Killers and free kills.
As far as I'm concerned, you're a Survivor main that at best plays low-ranked Killer games, stomping noobs and newcomers and thus believing that all Killers besides the actual top-tiered ones are strong, viable and dictate the outcome of a trial in even matches.

new killer = OP killer.
thats how this works. give them some time to find out that GF still gets looped and genrushed easily and they will stop complaining and recognize him as the mid-tier killer he is.
By then it's too late.

@DocOctober I didn't know that. How was it implemented? If they ever actually fixed matchmaking in ranked I could see less desire for something like this. It's just the absurd lobby times that I'm tired of.
Basically an RNG selector for playing either role. You'd click on it and either get matchmaked as Survivor or as Killer.
-
The Add-on that gives Phantasms collision also gives the trap itself collision.
EDIT: Why the hell does someone down vote this? I'm not responsible for that Add-on having collision, I'm just stating a fact, for Entity's sake!

killer gets bug fixes
Killer mains that only want killers to be OP :
"lul, they butchered him" ," this is why I don't trust the devs" ,"what a joke,Im not gonna buy him"
Overpowered and strong are two completely different things. Aside from that, not a single Killer main ever demanded that a new Killer must be overpowered. It's only ever Survivor mains the likes of you that claim that in order to push your agenda of Killer mains across the board being utterly biased people that won't their kills handed to them.
It's a weak attempt to get the game to accommodate to your needs and apparent lack of proper skill, by constantly playing the victim card. Killers are big bad bullies that need to be nerfed. I think that summarises your premise quite well, don't you think?
That honestly saddens me, as it shows that you and unfortunately many (not all, but many) Survivor mains belong to a generation of gamers that can't be bothered to get good at a game any more and instead demand, not request, demand from the developers of I guess any given game, to adjust it in ways that makes it possible to play it at a minimum level of skill, ruining the experience for seasoned, experienced and truly skilled players, just because you have grown so entitled to getting the easy way out of things. That doesn't speak for a generation of gamers, but also for a generation of inept people, that cannot adjust to changes, simply because they apparently never had the need to do that.
Gone way overboard with this, but it had to be said at some point. You, people like you, and developers listening to people like you, have destroyed so much, not just in Dead by Daylight, but also in many other online multiplayer games and it's spreading even. Deathgarden for example already has an evergrowing bunch of entitled Scavengers, that play a close second fiddle to entitled Survivors. For that, I honestly and truly dislike you. I do hope, that some day, the devs of DbD and the devs of other games facing similar entitlement-issues, will eventually get back to their senses.
-
I don't understand why anyone would buy him at this point, you guys are basically telling the devs that nerfing a Killer that the community deemed mediocre right after release is OK.
-
Hate to be a stickler, but it's been 2 years since the current intro. We've had a different one for the first year. The current one was made for the console release.
-
I'd rather have them go Rare to Ultra Rare then, considering that Perks enhance a Character's ability or add them in the first place. The colours are also nicer.
-
Just an FYI from a veteran: there was a quickplay option back in 2016. The devs got rid of it because barely anyone used it.
-
"Roomba of Death", that made my entire day.
Joking aside, I full-heartedly agree with your points, it's ridiculous that they even think of nerfing him in his current state.
-
Trapper in general needs an update, the Add-on pass wasn't sufficient in the slightest. His concept stems from the time when the average game took 12-15 minutes and he had the time to collect traps and strategically set them down. Those times are long past, yet he's stuck in it still.
-
There's next to no warning of an approaching Killer now. A Trapper walked up to about 12 metres from me before the TR was loud enough for me to hear it over the gen repair noise. And I play with very good headphones.

Dude there is like 10 pallets at max stop over exaggerating and just take the stun break the pallet move on them wasting pallets helps end game when there is none left coz one person has used them all
I know you are trying to push the typical entitled Survivor main agenda by understating the severity of a Killer-problem, but you could at least put in more effort than claiming something to be the case that is so blatantly untrue.

A good idea would be to allow him to equip 2 different powers, the old power, and the rework. Those who prefer old freddy can still play him, those who want the new freddy can play him.
I'd love that, but probably won't happen.

One Legion Add-on is bugged and acts as a reverse Wake Up! so to speak, applying a penalty to all actions.

What's worse is, I don't get why they would go through making it possible to record who's using what perks without making a way to disable them. Especially since we know for a fact that they're capable of disabling offerings.
It was never a question of making it possible, it's how it always worked. If you look into your log files, you'll see that with DbD's current P2P system, each Character's Perks are logged amongst many other parameters.

Again, you are wrong. It doesn't say for gens. It says it induces an action speed penalty right on the perk which is any action such as gens, gates, healing, etc. I definitely agree they need to slow the hell down on these patches as this is the worst patch they have ever released. I have a feeling they are rushing because the top people want that mobile version and battle pass released ASAP for cash.
Action speed is the equivalent to Gen Repairs. However, Wake Up specifically ONLY mentions the speed at which you open Exit Gates, yet since 3.0.0, affects literally everything else too.

Only non-licensed Characters can be bought with Shards.
-
Have fun playing against him while it lasts. He'll become another Plague very quickly. When's the last time you've seen her, hm? Killers that are "fun" for Survivors usually are not fun for Killer players, keep that in mind when you complain about the red rank Killer meta.
-
Why have you still not learnt anything from Freddy regarding knee-jerking and jumping the gun?
-
"Give him a few days and enjoy playing as him. No need to complain about changes that haven't come yet. I personally welcome the changes but if they are too much then they'll revert him back."
History has shown this statement to be false and that's exactly why Veteran players are pissed off with the devs at this point.

Just so you have the exact data, the increase of the detection on screen is a 4% on each side, for a total of 8%. Its very minimal. We didn't want to alter the timing of the current stalk system. But we felt that Survivors where having a hard time getting him out of his Night Shroud Power during a chase.
Thank you!
That doesn't make the decision any better whatsoever. Stop babying Survivors over and over again, I don't get why you guys still don't get this after 3 years. They can get the good for a change.
-
Well, I won't buy him at this time, especially not if they already plan to nerf him.
I do hope others will follow and help set an example. This is a unique opportunity, since Chapter 12 only contains Ghost Face, Survivor mains have no interest buying him in the first place and if Killer players too refuse to buy him for the time being or at all, it will hurt the devs in a way that might actually make them listen again, since licensed Characters are not cheap for them and cost a lot of money to make.

Not anymore. The devs will finally add a height limit to the grass trigger with 3.0.0
-
I guess someone did not pay attention in chemistry. There's a reason we use soap to get rid of "dirt" properly.
-
Keep in mind that most Killers these days must run Add-ons to have a chance, and that those are single-use and the Bloodweb is their only source of new stuff.
Survivors are not reliant on Add-ons, they last indefinitely if the item is not used up completely and can be found in Chests with Ace in the Hole.
EDIT: Judging from the down vote, I guess OP can't handle the truth. Sucks to be them.

I'll be nice and not say what I'm actually thinking right now, but it's literally the second bullet point in the PTB Patch Notes about Gameplay changes.
-
Maps and Realms are not the same thing. Offerings only affect the Realm and unless it's one with just one Map, the Offering will have several Maps in a Realm to choose from and I don't think that even the most biased people would call all Maps in Realm Survivor-sided or Killer-sided respectively.
I think they are fine the way they are.
-
@Kenshin said:
what changes are you guys talking about? can someone link the source?
It will no longer be possible to medium-vault Windows/fast-vault Pallets from a stand-still. You know, those scenarios where Survivors stand right next to a safe pallet and vault back and forth across it with full momentum, something which is not possible in reality.
Just like IRL, Survivors will have to run up to the vaults for a bit in order to get the faster vaults. This change is intended to lower the amount of safe pallets and remove some of the more obnoxious window loops.
-
It requires the camera to be pointing at GF for 0.3 seconds before the 1.5s of revealing start, otherwise Survivors could just rotate their camera around willy-nilly and still reveal GF without putting any effort into it.
-
Why does it make you laugh?
-
Hex Perks suck.
DS would be alright now IF it would not trigger if the Killer has already hooked someone else, because then they obviously aren't tunnelling.
