I agree 10000% but I keep seeing the same response everywhere:
"She's the most popular, of course they're gonna prioritize her"
She's increasingly popular BECAUSE they continue to prioritize her so much. Tell me a recently released character that gets the promotion or attention that Feng gets? They don't, they get sent to the back of the shelf off the rip 9/10 times so that they can turn around and say "You see guys, we only did it because nobody uses them and wants to buy their stuff, not because we have favorites". Give people more stuff to buy and show more respect for the other characters and I bet the numbers will reflect that
And they actually put more effort to make good skins for her then they add 50+ leather jackets for Jeff that look the exactly same and wonder why he is not popular.
-
One of the only things I don't like is them putting every new skin on purple rarity when they are not even that detailed, an example would be the hooked on you cosmetics, they are really pretty but also basic, they should be green rarity at Max

That's actually established already in some of the archive lore, where the Trapper is a popular fictional character in one universe, and storytellers like Mikaela gain inspiration for their tales through the echoes of other worlds.
Can't say I'm fond of it, though. I think using alternate universes like that heavily cheapens lore if it's not well handled. I liked it a lot more when you could just point to a character and say "this is who they are" without a million permutations and maybes.
I agree with everything, making some characters fictional in some universes feels boring as hell, I feel like dbd's multiverse was added just to overcomplicate things

Ill give you a cookie if you make sure 3 more resources gets allocated to the map team.
I want more maps is what Im trying to say.
Honestly, i care more about cool maps than new killers or survivors
-
I would thank god for an eruption rework, I play mostly solo Q and teammates don't stick to gens already and when they do it explodes and everyone just kinds of give up.
-
As a survivor main, 3 gens are the survivors fault, lost count on times where i completed a gen with someone else and they immediately went to the other gen right next to it.
-
I don't know why the devs always let's one side deny the rewards of the others, killers could down and get point without stealing them, same time for pallet stunning.

You watched YouTube videos on how to get better?
Yup, I used to watch a lot and then I just gave up, now I try to stay out of side and take agro when needed.

Why? You try to be better or you don't care at all? Really curious why so much experience doesn't give looping skills
I try to be, but I fail miserably

It can certainly make the difference sometimes, im pretty bad at it myself and noticed that having that type of secondary info can help a lot. Windows in particular is great because I can always have multiple options routed in my head to be ready, and not get caught rerouting into a deadzone if someone already used any pallets in the area. Hope my suggestion helps :)
I'll definitely give it a try, thanks!

Out of curiosity, have you tried more aura perks, particularly windows/kindred/empathy? You don't need to run all 3 obviously, but those 3 in particular can help with a lot of decision making while looping. Often times people get tripped up by mindgames because they hesitate, and the hesitation ends up being the difference between gaining distance and being downed. Nice thing about the perks is that they all get stronger the better you get at understanding them, so a lot of people end up just keeping them permanently, especially in solo. Bond/Aftercare/Alert also get honorable mentions due to providing similar metadata, albeit a bit more specific.
Not really, i think you're right about the hesitation part during mindgames, I do that a lot.

It is becoming a tad odd now. It's better they stick to the basic lore in the character description, and use the archives to expand on it, rather than jump and make complete changes that make no sense.
Also, it would be nice if they just kept the original profiles short and sweet, like they did early on. I enjoyed the small details profiles like Trapper or Hillbilly, not long reads like Trickster or Artist. Rather it be in sections and expanded upon in the archives.
I actually like a big bio, but sometimes they try to write a big one and end up with Jonah and Artist 💀
-
I feel called out, 5k hours and I loop lole a baby.
-
They've been retconing a lot of stuff and it's getting annoying.

Silent hill, it just fits the game so well, rpd is my second one.

Do you find the man in the sunglasses and leather jacket who spits one liners with his cartoon deathray villain voice scary? Sure he's from a horror franchise but he is not a horror character in of himself. And horror as a theme is something that should be maintained.
All of that said, I don't care if something is "out of place" or not. It's all good fun. I legit want a Scooby-Doo tie in (not a chapter really, just cosmetics. Although a chapter would be cool, if maybe too extreme of a level of silly even for DBD)
Yeah, Wesker is funny at BEST

Sure, I'll give you some responses...
When they have 55 different gen regression perks
Massive over-exaggeration, ignored.
When killers can still hit you on the other side of a window you vaulted 2 seconds ago and were already far from?
Skill issue and/or fix your connection.
When the perk excuse you are using, Dead Hard, still doesn't work much of the time, just like old Dead Hard
Massive skill issue, even more so due to the fact that you say old dead hard didn't work.
When the last 3 gens can still be next to each other, and a sweaty killer will make a match like that last ages more than it should?
Skill issue, learn not to 3 gen. It's super simple.
Buddy, I haven't seen (reassurance) once, not even on full teams of Rebeccas.
I swear you are trolling.
Remember that you are just a single person, not the media, there is no need for you to say fake stuff or make it bigger than it really is, as you have no need to get views. Now, to your other "points":
OK, you are trolling. And if you are not, then just admit that you are bad at the game and want survivor buffs because the game is too hard for you. Your position would actually make more sense that way.
The Reassurance thing is true, I play solo q everyday and since Rebecca came out I saw less than 5 Reassurance's in play. At least from where I'm from it's not popular.

By 'it takes something away' I mean that it makes things feel smaller than they could (?) be and it really bends suspension of disbelief (ymmv though).
To me, having everything connected to these two organizations takes out some danger and intrigued. The sense that the entity could snatch up any given person because they somehow piqued its interests by pure happenstance. To have the factor that 'oh no, this prson was taken because of this org or another' makes it feels... bland. It's this 'IT IS DESTINYYYYYYY' undertone that is just... dull. Especially when seeing that there are multiple realities... so it feels like we're to believe that despite all these different timelines the characters ALWAYS had a brush with either org and that only that got the entity interested?
I agree, I think is way more interesting when most of the survivors are just people that went missing with no explanation, like as if It could be happening in our world but we would never know; When everything is connected it takes that away in my opinion

The canon is there's multiverse in dbd. Observer talks about that, half of arcus entries are about that. Even Dwight The King is canon! Sort of. Not like the only existed one.
Mccote in an interview with the king actually implied that there's only one version of a character currently in the realm, like as if only one is able to be present at a time.

I was thinking about original ones, For licensed? Yeah pig wins 100%
I don't really know about julie, In the original lore she was terrified like joey & susie but in the tome lore, she was pretty much like frank.
Hated the retcons, Frank being like the 'cult-leader' and the other three being like reluctant followers was way better

A perk that always could give value against the majority of Killers? Being used because you could guarantee you would get perk value, but also practically being necessary to play against Blights and Nurses? Why I never.
Remember Borrowed Time? Now the only people who bring that are people trying to rescue people who get hooked super far from gates at endgame. That is a more accurate comparison since that is a basekit granted effect from a perk. Similarly Unbreakable will be in that same boat of the majority of people not bringing it due to it being partially basekit now.
Plus don't forget the easiest way to counter any form of Survivor pickups is the Killer picking them up themself.
I remember people saying " Omg!! 25s of Bt that's so busted!! Devs must hate killers!!!". Who's using Bt now?

Thats really hard to believe.. I haven't seen anyone say something like that, do you really like playing the same "mode" and holding M1 but nothing else when the killer is not chasing you? Or you are againts any core changes? To me the game needs a revamp, a face wash in terms of core mechanics at least in some alternative mode.
I've been playing mostly survivor since 2018 and still have fun, of course I would love to have more gamemodes or other gamechanging features, but I still like the game as it is.

boil over isn't even in the top 10 most used perks, it's behind even selfcare and self-care is sitting at 11%.
how is it boil over used quite a bit?
Right? I probably see 1 boil over at every 5 matches

They SAID that they were working on a system where killers could 'earn their mori' through the course of the game, which I think most people thought would be some kind of build-up meter or something.
If this is it, then it's going to be quite disappointing. This is just a cherry on top of an already total-victory match.
Yeah, i thought it was going to work like Jason's rage from friday the 13th
-
I feel like the devs are pushing killers to aim for the 12 hooks, I wonder If we will ever see a bse change for camping, although I don't agree with some recent changes it feels like they are less scared to drastically change mechanics this year.

Thats literally what I'm trying to say. We can have unique new chapters, while adding in extra content to expand the older ones. It doesn't have to be one or the other.
I feel like If they want to use a character like Julian or Haddie's brother they'll probably just save them or a future chapter, it makes more sense
-
From a business standpoint, A Re skin will sell way more than a character mentioned in another character's lore. But anyway, I'd rather when original chapters are more self-contained, I like when the cast backstory is diverse and not just: Spirit, Spirit's grandpa, Spirit's dad and etc
-
Nurse is disgusting
-
@versacefeng said:
It's always after really mediocre chases that killers do this too. Like there's no way killers are that upset that a console feng looped them for 20 seconds.
Lol, they nod and keep hitting you on hook after you stunned them and fell 3s later

Me too, but then I remember I used to hate going against him every match

If I could choose I would rather have shards or a store skin, but If both were not possbile I'd rather have a significant amount of bloodpoints

Alien and Predator, I just hate space themed stuff, the rest is ok for me.

I'm hoping for a reworked Red Forest/ Swamp

I got both, "Hemophobia" and "Item of Obsession" the same way, ie some afk killer in the earlier hours of the day on a day off. Item of Obsession has the potential to be "harder" in this regard, as you have to be the last survivor to leave the trial while also being the obsession AND not getting hit. Thats a bit convoluted again :V
I got Item of obssesion and Adept Laurie against an old Freddy using old ooo, i only noticed at the end
-
@Akumakaji said:
Well, its obviously "Outbreak Breakout" :V That one is cursed beyond cursing and could need 1200 games, if you are unlucky.
If we don't go by steam achievments, but also take tome challenges into account, there is also Dark Sense son the 4th page of the 1st Tome, ie "finish repairing 4 generators while using the perk Dark Sense". The only tweek that makes this bearable is that the once the last gen pops, the gen you are working at also counts as finished, so you "only" need to finish 3 gens yourself and be working on the 4th one when one of the others pop, but still, this ain't no joke and has the potential to be a very frustrating tome challenge.
Really? Rpd is fairly easy to escape in my opinion, just need a lot of offerings :p
