    If you guys want these cosmetics back, make your voice heard, please! BHVR will only listen if we let them know!

    Looking at the most recent statistics it appears that Self-Care is the 6th most popular survivor perk with a 15% pick rate across all survivors.

    Why is this?

    It's widely considered a terrible perk that encourages survivors to play worse and waste time when they could be doing gens or just looking for other survivors to help heal them. Alternatively you could run Inner Healing which you can prepare before you're injured to then heal yourself quickly. Also you can STILL run a medkit with two heals on it to heal yourself with.

    Sloppy Butcher is the 4th most popular killer perk, with a 15% pick rate and makes Self-Care waste even MORE time, especially if you get interupted and chased off.

    With the nerf to medkits, Self-Care + Botany isn't actually that much slower than healing yourself with a medkit, but Botany isn't in the top 10 which seems to imply many people running Self-Care do so without anything to help speed it up.

    What do you think? Is Self-Care good? Bad? Why do you think so many people still run it, and do you think people would still run it if it was nerfed even more?

    I think it is a combination of it being free on Claud and reliable. Now that Nancy is gone, Inner Strength is free for everyone too as a general perk, same with Steve's Second Wind, but both of those require you to actually do something to get running. Selfcare just lets you heal yourself and, especially to newer players, that is way more appealing and easy.

    This is also something I don't understand.

    They made event items unobtainable after the event ended back in the day and then they started with "yeah we make all those items available for all because people are sad they can't get them". When I was new in 09/2018 I completely understood that some stuff was special: The glow golden outfits (Legacy), past Lunar New Year or BBQ outfits or certain outfits you only got from conventions in other countries. It always felt special to see those. Because I knew the player had to do something special to get it.

    What I can understand is, that they made the cosmetics available for all who were sold for 1k $ on shady sides.

    But why not just letting players have something special? In PUBG you got a special cosmetic if you participated in EA. You can't trade that. And afaik you can't get it anymore.

    Same would be for event outfits. "You have not played during 4th anniversary? Then you don't have the crowns."

    The only thing that I still have what nobody has (exept cheaters) who started after June 21 are the year 4 and 5 anniversary items and the year 3 firecracker

    Yeah it is really inconsistent. I have never understood, like even the crowns you mentioned, they have brought back the 5th year but not the 4th year for some reason? Like why is one legacy and the other isn't. It gets even more annoying when they only seem to bring stuff back because they feel like it. Just bring it all back at this point. Legacy and Deep Rift are the only two things confirmed to not be returning but everything else is a coin toss.

  • Hard agree, bring back the smile

  • Yeah the double standard is actually insane, how can they say they don't want FOMO but then they have hundreds of unobtainable cosmetics lmao

    I made a thread about this last night and got blasted, they are only okay with FOMO if it makes them money I guess.

    But it’s not a prime exclusive if they just sell it?? What’s the point of prime exclusive if it’s not really all that exclusive :/

    It is silly to lock down something with a subscription that not everyone can get. Exclusives like that just leave people out who can't afford them and it is scummy. Everything should at the very least be on the store for later, the bonus of prime is being able to get it along side something you are already paying for for free.

    @BarnesFlam said:

    The true value of the Prime rewards should have been the fact that you got those for "free".

    Exclusivity always alienate people.

    Exactly.

  • @HugTechLover said:

    At the LEAST we should get a “100” charm or something.

    I mean yeah, something small like that I think would be fine.

  • @SleepyLunatic said:

    in my opionion the phrase ,,reaching p100 is the reward itself´``is stupid because it really isnt.

    Especially since prestige is forced now, you technically will get there at some point if you play enough.

    Not saying we need a reward there (i would still love tho) but we shouldnt see reaching p100 as a reward itself.

    Also alot of people actually want to remove/hide it anyway to prevent lobby dodging so whats the point

    I mean the benefits of having level 50 bloodwebs are pretty good I feel.

    @bazarama said:

    Fair play to anyone who wants to be P100 but I have neither the time or inclination to do so.

    I really can't see the appeal of spending all you BP on one character.

    As I play killer I'd rather spend my BP on getting all killers to level 3 so all perks are playable at level 3 on every other killer.

    Perfectly reasonable, yeah. Most people feel that way I imagine.

    @Halloulle said:

    I used to be amazed by their ability to miscommunicate / phrase things in a pretty bad, if not the worst, way. But it's happened so often now that I just shake my head.

    Yeah I just don't get why of all things that is the reason they gave despite it already being an issue the game has. I guess you could say they are trying to not make it worse, but they are constantly adding exclusive stuff even now so idk.

    the "don't want missing out" is referencing the obligation to grind to p100. when you make p100 reward, your creating obligation to grind to that reward. p100 is fine where it is at. the devotion system is more of arbitrary time number for how many hours you played. the reward for that system is that you get to unlock most killers and survivor perks for free if you spend a lot of time into the game. the only aspect that you do not get unlock is licensed perks but they have shrine of secret for that which admittedly has some issues with large amount of perks in the game.

    Yes, I understand.

    But stuff like the rift battlepass also forces people to play for rewards, there is an equal obligation to get those skins or risk losing them forever, the same FOMO they are saying the P100 would cause, yet this is already in the game and has been for years in several forms and continues to get worse with stuff like the Deep Rift skins.

    They are saying it is bad in reference to the P100, which would be completely free and not timed, but not for the premium battlepass? It doesn't make sense.

    They are the exact same concept, again, I don't think they should have a P100 reward, but I do think they should be a little more consistent and apply the same reasoning to all other aspects of the game.

    If you don't want to cause FOMO, you should bring back everything people may have missed out on so they don't feel like they need to grind stuff like the rift or risk never being able to get those skins again. It is an identical concept to the P100 and them applying it to one but not the other is silly.

  • @Kius said:

    As much some people say "it's not pressure to get" what happened to legacy sets? or the red portraits? bhvr already plays with fomo far too much.. p100 is there to show that you enjoy that character or franchise so much that you made that massive commitment. I do understand why bhvr isnt doing anything for p100 and I think it's fine..

    I understand why they aren't doing it also. I am saying like, in a game where there are hundreds of exclusive cosmetics already, that are arguably much more predatory systems because they cost actual money. Why would the reasoning be to "prevent people from missing out?" If you don't want people to feel like they have missed out, bring back all of the old rift cosmetics too.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/392759/p100-reward-twitter-response

    Thank you for being civil. I didn't know about cosmetics disappearing, that is insane and totally unacceptable. I understand your frustration, I really do.

    With that said, I don't see what the two topics have to do with each other. I would personally like a P100 Survivor and Killer Charm, that's all.

    Please don't be mad at people wanting something for the grind, my guess is many of them are also unaware of vanishing cosmetics.

    I am not mad at anyone for wanting the reward, I just think the reason they gave is silly.

    @Mr_K said:

    Sounds like you weren't around prior to this prestige system or being selectively forgetful. There were plenty of players who didn't want to prestige their characters because to them it wasn't worth it. Even today, I bet the majority of players don't level most of their characters past P1. But there were those that wanted ever bloody cosmetic and grind every character to P3.

    Why must there be a reward? Why is it special to dump all your points into one character? What about those that want to level all characters to P6 or P9? Do they get anything special? It take just as many bp to do that. Why reward some but not others for the same amount of points spent?

    The Devs reasoning is that they don't want players to invest 100s of millions a character and have that requirement increase every 3 months. There are players that want to unlock everything and you'll be alienating them. Today they go to P9. A very high threshold that doesn't end until the game dies. Now you want them to grind 10x more just to unlock a bs cosmetic. Why? Because a red 100 badge isn't enough for you.

    I was around then, I remember people not wanting to prestige, I have been playing since 2019. There doesn't have to be a reward and I don't really want there to be anyways. But the reason BHVR gave for not doing it is so people "don't feel left out" and I think that is really dumb in a game that already has a ton of exclusive cosmetics that you had to pay actual money and have never returned since.

    @Devil_hit11 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/392759/p100-reward-twitter-response

    what they're saying is that they do not want people aiming for p100. P9 is attainable reward for most players. P100 is more of grind limit. the only players going to P100 are generally hard-core players that play every day and often play one character. I think P100 already has a reward. the reward is that you stay at max blood-webs. The skins they do not make anymore because shop tries to offer much better skins. what other reward would you want from p100? Tier 4 teachable perks on that character or 5 perk slots?

    Again, like I said in the post, I do not want a P100 reward. It is just dumb to not do it because they "don't want people to miss out" yet there are already skins in the game that people have missed and can never get again, like you are already doing the thing you don't wanna do in other avenues of the game, you know? The reasoning doesn't make sense.

    @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

    I don't think they should reward and encourage people to waste bilion+ of BP just for some skin/reskin. Getting Prestige 100 is allready huge waste of time and is only "worth it" if you love that character and you don't care about getting add-ons for other Killers and having everyone with all perks max out.

    @GreyBigfoot said:

    The number 100 is the reward in and of itself. Why else do people do it? BHVR never said there would be anything besides the number 100.

    I think FOMO is technically the right word to use since it's such an insane amount of time spent to get to P100. But I'd have preferred if they were more blunt and just said that spending literally hundreds of hours for one character is asinine, instead of trying to make it a FOMO angle. They could make the prestige limit 999 and people would still go for it. The main purpose was always to make teachables easier to get on characters, I don't think there needs to be a reward for going to 100.

    I agree with both of you, the thing that makes no sense is the reason they gave in the context of the game we are talking about. You know what I mean. I am going to add an amendment to the end of my post to clarify.

    The TL;DR is like, if you don't want people to feel like they have missed, out, that is fine, that makes sense to me. But you should probably bring back all of the old rift cosmetics then, and make them available year round. Because having exclusive cosmetics will contribute to the exact thing you are trying to prevent by not doing P100 rewards.

  • @GolbezGarlandGabrant said:

    So Felix's Mountain Scout is indeed exclusive? I was having hopes for that one or even a recolor of it. It doesn't even seem like Felix is even worthy of a recolor.

    It seems that way yes, but maybe they will change their mind in the future, I'm sorry man :(

  • @chibizodo said:

    Imo the Haddie outfit from Amazon prime should not have come back bc that is suppose to be a prime exclusive. But as for prev rift yes those should come back

    side note I wish these type of posts would have a see more or expand etc bc that was a pain to scroll thru on mobile

    Unfortunately nothing I can do about the scroll thing, sorry, I wish there was something like that too. Honestly, I think just everything should come back, especially the prime rewards, locking stuff behind a 3rd party paywall that they abandoned for BP offerings like a year in is mega scummy in my opinion.

    @BarnesFlam said:

    The only acceptable "Twitch exclusive" should have been the Twitch shirts. But instead we got multiple collections fragmented behind different type of FOMO, it's not appreciable at all.

    My expectation is that if it did not apply to Deep Rift outfits they would have said something like "[...] same for Very Rare and above [regular/normal/shallow] Rift Outfits."

    Afaik they only said Deep Rift items are exclusive to the Rift, but both statements can be true if they for example sell access to old Rifts (and keep putting old outfits in the store separately, for players who don't want to grind for them or who only want one outfit and thus won't buy the entire battlepass) or recycle them in future releases.

    Unfortunately only time will tell, if it were up to me everyone would have everything but it is in BHVRs court.

    Yeah it is a very sad situation to be honest, hopefully someday the reconsider. But honestly, this thread is really old and the devs have never responded to it so who knows. I am hoping that cosmetic comes back so you can get it though!

    This does mean the Deep Rift items will return though, those are Very Rare rarity. At least the ones I have checked all have that rarity.

    I believe they have already said separately that the deep rift skins aren't returning, though I could be wrong, I am pretty sure those are considered Legacy to a degree. Hopefully I am wrong though!

    @Krazzik said:

    I guess since Rare quality skins are much cheaper in terms of Shards or Cells they don't see much profit in bringing them back, despite the fact that the skins are already made and exist in-game. Maybe they think that some people may buy good-looking Rare skins instead of much more expensive Very Rare/Ultra Rare skins.

    Yeah I honestly, I have no idea, the money versus effort still seems like a no brainer, people would be more likely to buy cheaper skins and like you said they are literally already made, they just need to slap them into the shop. It is just really dissapointing on BHVRs part.

  • It really depends on the survivor, P100 Ash is sorta rare so I think most killers avoid me.

    If you saw a P100 Feng, you wouldn't think any different versus a P1 Feng since she is so common.

  • 20230907_153208.jpg

    Well, it looks like the dream is dead folks. The wording is weird but it seems like BHVR is only interested in bringing back outfits that are Very Rare or above. Once again the wording is unclear, but this seems to suggest that the single piece rift and non Very Rare outfits will not be returning again.

  • Remove the endurance, add perma exhaustion, now works while exhausted.

    3% bonus speed while injured, can't be used with other exhaustion perks because you are always exhausted. It would also act as a counter to Feamonger's exhaustion.

    If you wanna add some kind of prevention for stacking haste that would be lame but most balancing decisions are, I would be fine with it. I just don't think it is super necessary.

    Should have tried that before I reinstalled the whole thing xD I knew about the read only thing and also tried to do all that, but we'll I reinstalled it and now it works, so I guess it is fine now :3

    Well hey I am just happy you got it sorted lol, happy DBDing!

  • @zarr said:

    I'm sorry, but do you know how to check whether the file is in read-only mode? Because both the absence of those (and various other) variables in your GUS.ini as well as the fact that your custom graphics settings (under [ScalabilityGroups]) are being maintained suggests that the file is read-only.

    Right click, properties, then at the very bottom there is a checkbox that says read only.

    If that doesn't work, you can just blow away your Dead by Daylight folder, verify game files, then launch the game. it should repopulate everything with default.

    EDIT: I mean the DeadbyDaylight folder in Local, not your actual game install, the same place you go to find your GameUserSettings.ini

    You would have to set your settings again but it will let you save them.

  • The funniest thing is that the male survivors still vault farther, Otz made a demonstration video on Twitter, so they didn't even fix the issue people were complaining about.

  • @Archol123 said:

    For some reason everytime I restart the game I don't only have to activate the visible heartbeat again but also deactivate the anti-aliasing and adjust the screen resolution. It just never saves those settings, what can I do there to get it saved?

    If you changed your in-game settings using the GameUserSettings.ini file, you needed to do this to get 120 fps or to turn of vsync before the most recent patch, you most likely set the file to Read Only, which would prevent the game from overwriting it with changes to your settings.

  • Take a break, go play civilization or something.

  • @TooClueless said:

    Is it a good idea to send a support ticket to ask the DBD team whether certain cosmetics are not being added/taking forever to be added to the game? I understand that the past rift cosmetics take about 1 year to be added back, but some have not returned and we can only guess whether Behaviour is not releasing them because they are either exclusive to their respective rifts or they forgot about the skins. I have researched discussions surrounding this topic and I haven't seen an official Behaviour statement on the certain "forgotten/exclusive" cosmetics from past rifts. If someone knows of Behaviour's intention on the return of past rift outfits, I would love to know, as well as if someone has sent a support ticket regarding this matter and their response.

    I actually have done this before in regards to Ace's Splashin' the Pot cosmetic from the second rift.

    Unfortunately you get the same basic automated response that you would expect "we have not announced whether that cosmetic is coming back, follow us on our socials to see all upcoming cosmetic announcements..." yada yada.

    I was hoping with this thread at least one dev would take notice and shed some light but no luck so far unfortunately. The most BHVR interaction we have gotten is Rizzo combinging the threads, holding out hope though!

    At this point it's extremely weird why it's not been added yet. Like almost 3 years or something crazy like that.

    There's a nice purple recolor of it in this ongoing Rift at least, it looks better ngl.

    If you look at my list, for some reason, there are a disproportionate amount of Nea skins that never get added back or take forever. It is super bizarre because I feel like she is super popular, they are just missing out on money. Then again, you could say that for all of them that they haven't added back.

    Eh, it doesn't cost anything to be optimistic, they probably won't but I feel like BHVR has been doing good recently so it may! Keep your head up!

  • @versacefeng said:

    I don't believe the devs when they said they didn't have access to the old animations and HUD. I fully believe they can add them back if they wanted to, they just don't want to look stupid by wasting a good chunk of money over something that no one asked for.

    I think generally the new ones are prefered unfortunately. I really just want them to add a bit more fluid motion. The new ones are stiff and ugly.

  • @indieeden7 said:

    Nostalgia really does blind some people, huh? Old animations looked so bad compared to the new ones, especially the injured running animation, you would glide across the ground.

    At least for me, it is less about look and more about how they feel to play with, the old ones had more motion and I prefer the cartoony motion to the stiff realism we have now. Agree to disagree I guess.

    Either way, I am not really asking for the old ones to come back, just for the current ones to improve.

    There was one PTB where the animations were actually fixed, as in we finally had proper animation frames that showed which direction a survivor was turning to. Unfortunately, these changes were reverted, and we currently have purposely badly animated survivors, so that survivors can have extra chances to dodge killers. The current survivor animations look like hot garbage on the killer's screen, especially when survivors are spinning in a circle, but as long as survivors are happy it's ok, right?

    I love the lengths that some people will go to to make an us v.s. them argument. I just liked the old ones better holy moly.

    this is not about struggling to get hooks. it is that interaction of those loops is unfair for m1 killers. it does not matter that the pallets can be broken because pallet are designed to waste time and if the 3-4 of pallets have no gameplay for killer then you can lose 3 gens in first chase for those pallets existing without any control in changing outcome in the first chase. The more pallets that have low-gameplay, the less killer can chase because every chase is just a bad chase. you can lose games solely on those pallets if you do not understand where to chase. you have to play so tactically careful with detaching chases to remove the unfairness. I do not see how you can defend an entire map full of strong safe loops and say that is a balanced experience for m1 killers with poor chase powers.

    I have never disagreed with the map being unfair for killers with a ton of strong loops together, I said that pretty much at the start. But that is a map tile spawning issue not an issue with individual tiles.

  • Trapper is cool, I just wish iri stone and Trapper bag were base-kit, I love the idea of really powerful traps that open on their own, you can essentially set and forget, then lead everyone back into where your traps are. I do understand why they aren't though.

  • @ZachNoRyu said:

    Yo i dunno if im the only dumb one but i don't really like the survivors animations it would be cool a rework like the running and standing animations so they feel more alive because with bulky survivors like David,Jeff,Etc they don't feel right they look so goofy

    They used to be better before 4.5.0 reworked them. Initially the animations we have now looked better but felt awful because of these slow transitionary animations they added between every action. To make the game feel better they removed those transition animations, but the new ones look really rough and stiff without them.

    They should have just reverted them back to the old ones with some tweaks, they were cartoonish but very fluid and satisfying to look at, I miss them a lot. It was also nice because the default standing position was lower as well, AND you used to be able to nod and look around while crouching and have it show on you character.

    It is the one change to the game that I have never gotten used to. I hope that every day BHVR revisits survivor locomotion but I know they won't.

  • It is a very well done and reasonable video, I enjoyed it.

    In what universe is a pure guess on both sides an 80/20? That makes no sense. Bear in mind, a healthy survivor that gets hit at an unsafe loop still gets a speed boost to make another tile. The mindgames might not be as deep in dbd as in fighting games, but they are still there.

    And no, predropping pallets isn’t skillful. There are way too many pallets on most maps for it to matter. It isn’t resource management when there is such a huge supply. I also think predropping is the optimal strategy. Too many survivors think they are being fancy by looping, when they are able to stay safe and waste a ton of time.

    If the sides are not on an even playing field, in other words, asymmetrical, then a true 50/50, even odds, is not possible.

    Like I explained, on side always has an advantage. There aren't 50/50 guesses, take old Spirit for an example, the survivor has legitimately no information but the Spirit has tons. People still called it a 50/50, but it isn't really.

    That is how every guess between survivors and killers go because the rolls are not balanced for 1v1, it is balanced for 1v4. The Killer always has an advantage if the survivor has to guess, they are faster by default, they have bloodlust to make them even faster than that, windows get blocked, taking vaults is unsafe depending on how you play, etc. Chase in general favors killer.

    Predropping is part of information gathering, knowing when to do it requires game knowledge at the bare minimum. Obviously not if you are dumping every pallet all the time, but in certain instances it is the correct play to make. Not all predropping is skillful, just like not all tunneling is, but both can be used tactically depending on the circumstance. I am not saying anything crazy here.

    Right, so top players in Street Fighter and all fighting games are just lucky and luck their way into making thousands of dollars. Guessing/reading is a skill. Predropping a safe pallet is devoid of all skill.

    I also disagree that pallets should favor a survivor. If anything, since dbd is a 4v1, the killer should be favored in chase/at pallets. I’m pretty sure the devs designed the game with this in mind, which is why killers are faster. Unfortunately, that doesn’t matter at safe loops.

    An unsafe pallet is a pallet that is too short to loop around and the survivor has to get a stun to win the scenario. This is how the game should be designed. Imagine trying to insult someone while revealing your lack of knowledge in the process xD.

    Knowing when to predrop versus when to not to preserve a pallet is part of what makes a good or bad survivor, so yes. Some killers require predropped pallets, some you can loop at pallets, some you can't even use pallets against, etc.

    This game isn't really comparable to something like Street Fighter, this isn't an even playing field, it is an asym. In Street Fighter both players can run the same thing if they want. There is a power imbalance between opposing sides in DBD, something like a 50/50 in DBD isn't really possible, we just call it that because it is a guess. It is probably closer to like an 80/20 depending on which side has more info, this is why game knowledge is so crucial.

    But guessing in DBD almost always favors Killer, which is fine because it is the power role, but that is also why you can't balance around 50/50 mindgames in an asym.

    Any shared mechanic in this game favors killer, windows and vaults favor killer (not right now but that is getting reverted), hooks favor killer, etc. Again, this is fine, it is by design.

    Pallets are a survivor mechanic, only suvivors can use pallets, they should favor suvivors for that reason. You wouldn't expect a mechanic meant to help you favor your opponents in any other game. You are acting like there aren't safe pallets that you can mind game, because just like the unsafe pallets, safe pallets come in all shapes and sizes. The only unmindgameable pallets are the ones that directly block you, and each map maybe has like 2 of those, that again, can be broken.

  • I would just use the sites given reporting features. As far as something Twitter goes, there isn't a ton BHVR can do other than hide it. It is up to the site moderation to actually decide to remove it or not.

    TBF there are degrees of unsafe, varying from 60/40 down to "if you don't stun you're eating a hit." The latter trash pallets are just as bad as god pallets imo

    Normally I hear people call the semi unsafe pallets something else, long-wall pallets, etc. But yeah unsafe pallets are a pretty general term.

    I think that woundcowboy is saying the only fair pallets in the game are the short trash pallets, like the ones between two small rocks, based on how they are talking about them.

    We need a DBD dictionary lmao.

    How would killer never lose another chase? It’s literally a guess. There are mindgames involved. You either swing or respect the pallet and go to the other side. THAT’S actual gameplay, not this safe loop to safe loop BS. Dead hard was stacked in the survivor’s favor because if they were wrong on dropping the pallet, they could dead hard to take the hit. It sounds like you think that it’s ok for there not to be even counterplay- you think the survivor should aways have an advantage.

    I am fine with counter play, by your description of dead hard it still needs nerfed because you can still DH at pallets like before.

    Also, I am not sure you get what unsafe pallets are.

    What is the point of pallet breaking as a mechanic if you basically want to ignore all pallets. The fact that they are strong is countered by the fact they are finite and removable. So yes, the survivor should have an advantage when it comes to most pallets, they are a survivor mechanic, killers cannot use pallets. The counter to pallets is that they can be used once and broken then never used again.

    Unsafe pallets are called unsafe because they favor the killer instead, think the pallet between two small rocks that a killer can just walk around. It is practically impossible to not win chases if your monitor is turned on.

    You are asking for the game to be boiled down to 50/50 mindgames, that is the exact reason they changed Spirit and Slinger. Guessing is actually not counter play, you aren't making a skilled decision or choice, it is entirely luck.

    That’s totally wrong. If the survivor stuns the killer with an unsafe pallet, they gain distance. If the killer guesses right, the survivor is hit. How is that not fair?

    Isn't that the same thing that the last version of dead hard was and it was deemed by the general community as to strong? It even had the same issues with latency that pallets do. I understand that DH was anywhere and unlimited but the idea is the same, eventually people would complain about even unsafe pallets.

    If pallet stuns were consistent or good then smash hit would be the most popular suvivor perk. Unsafe pallets are good as filler, I enjoy the challenge of them but to suggest every pallet should be unsafe is labotomizing the killer roll to nothing. A survivor centric mechanic should favor the survivors. You would never lose another chase.

  • Billy need tweaks for his bump recovery and turning so he can actually manuver around the new maps.

    There are so many small obstacles that he bumps on, at the very least it shouldn't punish you as heavily for bumping. That makes him really unpleasant to play, otherwise I agree he is fun.

    survivors need occasional strong tiles to buy more time or they would all go down in 10 seconds.

    survivor should need to win mindgames to make a tile strong. not get a strong tile for free. they're suppose to go down in 10 seconds when they play the tile poorly.

    Not everything in this game has direct counter-play for sure, but the fact that once the pallet is down in shack the tile becomes half as useful as it is because the threat of the pallet is gone

    the window is still useful even after pallet has been thrown. the problem that occurs with window is entity blocker and bloodlust. you are near guaranteed to be hit once enough bloodlust has been build-up. now your starting to unpack the problem. entity blockers does not exist for that window. it exists for garden of joy and mother dwelling infinity-type windows. bloodlust exists to counter running forward but it fails achieve that because of pallets like the shack and other tile-sets being too safe.

    You are essentially asking for the game to be w-keying in a straight line until the survivor does down.

    those types of pallet promote exactly that type of gameplay you described. break every pallet until the map has no pallets into bloodlust w-key downs.

    Survivors rely on distance to continue chases to buy time for their team to do gens

    killers rely on hooks. those pallets slowdown hooks. perhaps killer should get a random luck-based mechanic where every time he hooks someone, there is 25% chance that he gets 2 hook-states for 1 hook. the difference between this mechanic and god-pallet is that one of them is RNG and the other is consistently present on every map. If you ever wondered why gens take so long to complete, your answer is in these pallets and certain windows. the certain windows often have breakable wall to address the problem but some do not.

    Killer has mechanics that not only increase speed the longer you chase, but one that blocks windows if they are vaulted in chase 3 times both basekit. If you are genuinely still struggling to get hooks then I have no clue that to tell you man.

    If you think the 1 or 2 strong pallets, a finite resource that can be broken and completely removed, even removed faster with perks, are losing you entire matches then you are making mistakes elsewhere, you fundamentally don't understand something.

    You are more than likely applying pressure in the wrong places, it isn't uncommon for the first chase to take a while to complete.

    Most people don't have this much trouble with killer.

    I am asking for tiles/pallets that include mindgames and the opportunity for either side to make a read and get a hit/gain distance. God pallets should not exist.

    You don't even have to play pallets as Nurse like what.
