I typically try to back the killer up if I'm still around. I know how much it sucks to get the 4 v 1 aspect in the endgame chat, especially when you dont deserve it.
I love how the guy gets on the Huntress and says the second most difficult killer is the easiest. Running Self-Care btw.
-
I hoped for Nurse buffs, Doctor buffs, Leatherface buffs, and Hillbilly nerfs.
I expect only nerfs.
-
Good players are far and few between.
Browns and Yellows have no idea what they're doing. Greens are just bad. They flee at the sound of a heartbeat, spend the entire game looking for Ruin even if it doesn't exist, and try to hard to be no0b3. They're also incompetent as all hell.
Purple is just boring; not special whatsoever.
Red is fun...Yeah...Red is fun...

I almost missed your sarcasm at first... You got me 🤣🤣
I simply don't enjoy entitled killer mains complaining about everything. I don't agree with the Ruin changes, but that doesn't give you the right to go ######### on another perk.
-
DS should have no way to deactivate except time-out and the timer shouldn't go down while within the killer's terror radius and it shouldn't go down when in the dying state if activated.
-
What if the survivor is cleansing the totem for Inner Strength and you go right back to them?
What if the survivor taps too early and accidentally taps a gen instead of vaulting?

wasn't suggesting that they should change all of them at once. They should change them over time to get more out of hex perks in general. What I am saying is the new ruin shouldn't be tied to hex totems anymore. It could be something else but not totems.
It should honestly be base kit.
-
Entitled survivor main input: Killers need to git gud.
Entitled Killer main input: You ######### better prepare for an endless slugfest.
Non-entitled survivor and killer main input: Ruin didn't need a nerf at all, it was in a great spot. The problem is green ranks are green ranks and they complain NON-STOP. The devs listen to this entitled survivor-base and change the game accordingly so they don't lose money. This is bad...
-
I almost forgot these existed.
-
The problem with totem locations is that they are preset and a hex's life time depends on it. New totem locations would almost require map redesigns
-
After the Ruin nerf? Yes.
-
As a survivor main...no...Ruin didn't need a single change at all. It's an auto-kick gen perk. #########.
-
Maybe devs need to listen to the overall community rather than just going off of assumption because of the opinion of two or three-hundred people.
New Ruin shouldn't even be a perk; it should be base kit.
-
Sure. Delete the main character of the promotional and game material. No problem.
-
Flex alert
-
Come on, this isn't Deceit. Besides, people would abuse the hell out of it.
-
Wraith is already viable with the right perks and proficient player. Just check out Tru3.

I feel like that too, I think people should try to hit great skill checks all the time though. I feel like when Ruin is down they take the safe big open success zone, but if you start trying for great all the time it’s good practice.
Another great thing about Ruin is that the killer spends a great deal protecting it. This in turn wastes a lot of the killer's time and allows survivors to get more done. I feel that totems should only be cleansed if NOED is a possibility or if Devour Hope or even Third Seal is in play.
-
These people just aren't proficient. Ruin skill-checks are easy considering there's an actual urgency to hit the great zone. The importance makes them seem easier to land.
-
It'd be very difficult considering the animatronics become lifeless when someone is maintaining eye contact with it. This chapter would also be extremely boring just like Pennywise.
-
These are called killers. The tactic that you just witnessed is called Mori tunneling. It's when a killer isn't good enough to get things done right so they need to rely on an unfair item and method of play. Better get used to it; all green rank and purple rank killers do it.
-
To get the unobtained rewards you would have to spend extra money. $1 for one tier

That would be hilarious, imagine, a killer that cant hurt the survivors unless they are the survivors from the dlc
but I dont see why it would be a re-skin of Freddy ?
He would have to do some weird dream thing or time travel that would make it to where he could get the survivors to see him when they are children. It would be some super boring and pointless chapter.
-
You know the problem with Pennywise? None of the survivors saw him as kids. This means that he would be unable to harm them. Pennywise would also be a boring chapter that would probably be a sort of reskinned Freddy.
-
The killer queues are about 5-10 seconds.
Survivor queues can range from 2-5 minutes with it taking the shortest in a solo queue and longest in a trio.
There is a lot of lobby dodging done by killers, but for the most part it's not that bad.
As of killer being difficult to play, it depends. Huntress and Nurse are definitely difficult to play on console because of the precise aiming and control you need. But with a good controller and steady hands/wrists, Huntress becomes quite easy to play. (You can trust me on that as I am a Huntress main). As for the rest of the killers, they aren't bad as it's just M1ing.
I do find it to be a little easier to 360 a standard M1 killer on console, especially with nice, smooth thumb-sticks.
It's not bad overall. Unfortunately though, we are still stuck with lag-switching which is a pain in the ass.
The largest problem with console is the frame-rate drop. It is most prevalent on Switch and Xbox One, but can easily be avoided with a One S/X or if you play the Switch docked with a TV that can at least reach 1080P. PS4 gets the occasional drop typically when reaching Bloodlust tier 2, but a decent TV or even a PS4 Pro will completely remove them. I have a customized and modified PS4 Pro with a 4K TV so I don't experience drops at all, but I do have a friend with it on Xbox and he suffers from frame-rate drops constantly. It all depends on the hardware you have available, but frame-rate drops can easily be avoided with some 4-star hardware.

It would be really cool to see survivors obtain passive buffs, but it would be extremely difficult to balance.
Here are some cool passive effects for some of the survivors though:
Dwight: Intoxicated - Dwight will randomly pass out and teleport to random locations furthest from the killer. He will wake up in the healthy state with all status effects cured.
Meg: Tip-Top-Shape - Has a permanent speed boost of 1/2/3%
Claudette: Botany Knowledge...
Jake: Grease Monkey - Jake has the ability to sabotage Pig traps making it easier for survivors to remove the reverse bear-trap upon their head.
Nea: Balanced Landing.... (Stagger stays at 75% and noise reduction is 50/75/100%. No Sprint Burst.)
Ace: Chest searches provide more valuable loot.
Feng: Red Bull Enthusiast (not really) - The exhausted status effect lasts for 3/4/5 seconds less than normal.
All of these effects are upgradable throughout their three tiers.
-
Ruin is B tier at best. People rely on it too much. It's easily avoided at purple ranks and is beat out by Corrupt Intervention.

Ok, im kinda new to this and i play surv and killer though, in fairness, killer more. I know this is gonna trigger a lot of people but, doesnt huntress hum and let you know shes nearby like, 40 meters out or something? Why are you letting her get so close, you can sneak around and do other stuff instead of staring at your generator and having no awareness.
Common sense doesn't come sparingly in today's world, unfortunately.
-
And an instant down chainsaw (with an infinite number of uses) that also allows you to traverse the map at over 250% speed is completely balanced?
Huntress needs an ultra rare and very rare add-on to even have an instant down. It's a slick, diamond-like substance emanating with the entity's power. It's meant to be extremely powerful.
If anything needs a nerf...it's speed limiter on Leatherface. That $hit OP.
-
It's not about the gen speeds, it's about the players you're up against and if they have Prove Thyself and/or toolboxes. And most killers don't tunnel to win. I get tunneled about every other game yet only one gen has been finished. If I ran DS on my Ash then I'd have a damn near perfect escape-death ratio.
-
Iridescent Head needs a nerf. But that nerf is bad
-
I think a good idea would be to obtain one store cosmetic after reaching P3-50
-
Imagine the animation and the pain the survivors would be in after falling from a high height without bending their legs. You would straight up break your ankles and legs.
-
No. Just no. I'm all about suggestions. But no.
-
I doubt the devs will remove slow vaults. They're on a steady path of survivor nerfs. Granted, some were necessary, but most weren't.
Nurse got nerfed, and that's been the only substantial killer nerf in some time. Because no, the Spirit changes don't count as nerfs as they make sense to be a part of her power and actually make her "hard" like the game says.

@zaquintar said:
That's too lenient. Make it so DS causes the killer to mori himself instead
I'd rather not have another Friday The 13th

Um no... why would that be a thing. If your that concerned deadhard to a locker and waste his time or use your ds. And a 10 second stun is ridiculous.
You say a mori isn't fair. But a killer who is killing survivors and is chucked by a key escape is fine? There are items on both sides that drastically change the balance, you have to adapt.
Or you know, dont get found first or dont get hooked. You already know when they bring in a mori so you can be extra vigilant.
It's a bit tough when your team is garbage and you carry until finally getting downed and then tunneled with an ivory Mori.

The only buff DS needs is 2 people lifting it over into the furnace where it belongs.
60 secs of being untouchable or DS rotating with a team and meta perks and he wants a buff
Gahahahhahahah
Why are killer mains so damn stingy? Holy fuckity #########
-
An anti-tunneling perk shouldn't have any counters.
-
@Raven014 said:
No. DS needs a nerf to make is less abusable than anything. Look at the amount of people that say: just get in a locker. It shows how strong it is.
Nerfing DS further isn't a good idea. Plus, the only nerf would be the timer and stun duration.
-
Bruh. Lol. What. Nerf or buff?

Not true. It is close to useless on half the maps - that is not only "some maps". That's A LOT of maps. All other exhausting perks are usable everywhere - vaults, lockers are literally everywhere
Lery's and certain variations of The Macmillan Estate and Coldwind only have 1 place to use it.
-
@MrDardon said:
There is no need to buff DS. If it should get something it should get more of a nerf, but first off they need to change the green and red Moris + the Keys before they change DS at all.
The problem with keys is that people don't like that they open the hatch. It's a key...what else is it gonna do?
-
@KuromiStarwind said:
Ah, I see. You want your busted perk buffed or reworked into something busted again. I'm so sad that this perk now functions like every other exhaustion perk, and doesn't have an added benefit which makes a lot of places easily abused. Cry my a river, bud.
Or you could actually read. The whole point of the forum is to make Balanced Landing NOT be an exhaustion perk.

u want to run DS and think it may come into play. Then that’s your problem and not the killer”s.
I wish they would revert the enduring effect on DS tho ://
DS is useless against enduring.

It is a lazy fix to the infinite problems, so I think all killer mains dont want to have the perk working with haddonfield still in game
Yeah. The devs could've pit in some more effort though

Not all of the killer are the Trapper my friend. In fact, only one of them is!
Also no DS needs 0 buffs. If you're asking for Moris to be nerfed however, I'm right there with you.
I wouldn't mind moris needing two hooks to activate, but that's about all.

And it's ok for survivors to have free infinite loops that are extra safe just because of one perk?
Survivors shouldn't be able to 1v1 the killer, especially because of 1 busted perk and bad map design.
The perk isn't busted, it just excels because of bad map design.
