I see a lot of rationalization for tunnelling off hook when the simple explanation is: Most killers aren't skilled enough to even handle solo queue gamers. There comes a time where human error causes a game to escape their grasp, or they're simply outmatched. But they should just admit to this: They mess up and aren't as good as they think they are. Map RNG does play a role here, but I find that it also screws over survivors decently enough.
@Power_Guy said:
Oh boy. Yet another 'Please prevent Killers from winning in ways I don't enjoy' thread!
And what happens once 'tunneling' is removed/punished? Then it's 'camping'! Then 'slugging!' And then it's 'Killers are toxic for chasing me!' and then 'Killers are toxic for hitting me! New players will leave because being hit is unfun! Remove Killer's ability to hit people!' followed by 'Being put up on a hook is unfun, because I can't win if I get sacrificed! For the health of the game; remove hooks!'
No. Tunneling is how Killers remove a wounded person from the game. It's no different from Survivors slamming gens, and anyone who says different does not understand what 'playing optimally' is.
If survivors played optimally, you'd still lose despite the sweatiest perks and the scummiest of strategies. So if you're getting consistent results, chances are you just beat down a bunch of casuals or solo queue gamers you did not have the adequate skill to take on and resorted to a far easier and less skilful alternative. Which is fine, not everyone can be good at this rather simple game, but at least admit to it rather than making the other side sound entitled and then saying you're playing optimally. Chances are you played like crap if you end up resorting to these strategies quite often in public matches, or are very much mis-matched. I'm saying this as someone that fully admits to getting outplayed and sometimes falling back on these tactics to have a chance despite being consistently in red ranks and pretty good with my favoured killers.
Going out of your way to slug everyone at 4-5 gens just reeks of insecurity. Otherwise slugging is fine and should be expected.
Conclusion: How about killers git gud at the game before solo queue actually gets buffed and even their sweat can't compensate their lack of game sense and skill? The same can be said to survivors who rely on ######### map design and perks as BHVR is, albeit slowly and inefficiently, cracking down on this.
I swear a lot of people here should just stick to single player games.
-
I think the issue here is that people feel like they're losing to the build more than the Blight. The Blight's power just being a free way to patrol everything even if they're not good at actually getting hits.
And I agree. There's nothing more frustrating than to face a very bad or even average Blight that clearly relies on perks when they should be getting downs fairly easily in spite of bugs. You then end up with extremely boosted killer players that end up playing in VERY fun ways when perks can carry so much.
Let's not talk about addons. I've seen quite a few use the perk build + Alchemist ring and something dumb like 33 or crow. At this point uninstalling should be the losing condition if you've played Blight for more than three games.
-
Legion doesn't even run that fast. Holding W also cucks his power, unlike other mobility killers.
It's probably because he awards free hits no matter the loop, making him accessible to all levels of play, though the higher level will be able to get as good results without cheating through pallets/windows. Instead they'll downright noclip with Nurse as an upgrade!
Jokes aside. He gives the feeling that he DOES things. When in reality he does so little. It's a feel-good thing. Also works very well against solos who are terrified and heal constantly. Bad habits but hey, I agree, can be fun.
-
PC here. My God I've been getting random network drops when my internet is a-ok. This is not fine. This is ruining the game SEVERELY, even more so than the random stutters I get. This is atrocious and I don't understand how they can have a game like this when they're opening themselves to the biggest video game horror franchise. The Silent Hill chapter was not buggy like this at all.
Yeah thank goodness they removed the DC penalty, I'd be completely ruined. It must be so much worse for consoles.

R1 actually, i dont whiff frequently, but it does happen. To you too. Because its not a guaranteed hit. Easier than the regular hit? Sure, but its not guaranteed.
Console player? Then that makes sense. PC here, and no, after a while these tricks stopped working on me. Nor does it work on most killers with a lot of experience. But if you're on console, then this makes a bit more sense. Otherwise? You may as well say it's easy to juke killers and M1 is inconsistent (R1 for you), which is really isn't. The only time this happens now is if the game has performance issues, which admittedly are more frequently recently.

Its not bait at all. I run him all the time. You should give it a try see if you hit 100% of your shots across 10 games. Bet you dont
The only time I don't hit my frenzy each time is if I haven't played killer in a long while, and especially Legion that I dislike playing. After a small warmup? No, I don't miss. Because basic jukes don't work on this power if you've played killer long enough and the autoaim + speed makes a hit inevitable even if they try some stupid spin.
Going to harbour a guess and say you aren't in red ranks if you're frequently getting whiffing legions.

Completely change Legion. Feral Frenzy is absolutely braindead as an ability that has no thematic cohesion and is just dull. Plus it gives a free hit with zero effort, which ends up appealing to bad killer players that, upon realizing Legion sucks, stack 4 slowdowns to go with that M1 simulator. Just change it to literally anything they have in backburner and it'll be better.
Trickster needs an overhaul on how laceration works. Be it that it never decays or needs survivor action to do so. Contingent on how effective his knives are then, changing his speed could be considered, although whether it is base or when he has the daggers out is up in the air. The power itself is fine, it's how it affects survivor gameplay and the requirements to get results that is the issue. Also Main event needs to be way less useless than it is now. Perhaps leaving half the meter full if its unused.

@Steel_Eyed said:
The only issue he has is the time to down a survivor is way too high. Once his chase gets fixed, in any way they see fit, all the other problems get corrected.
You're probably right, but as it stands, he is incapable of compensating for any shortcoming with his current power. And merely 'buffing' it may cause bigger problems. But his only redeeming quality is the chase aspect, and it is mind bogglingly awful as it is that I simply don't understand how this killer can be released after the previous batch of, honestly, good killers despite some of them not being to everyone's taste.
-
More and more boosted killers reach red ranks because matchmaking is garbage as usual. And then they feel insecure when they're suddenly out of their league, so they resort to low-skill strats.
-
If you're playing late in certain regions, you're facing people who don't wake up to go to work the next day. So yeah, high chance they're /that/ sort of player.
-
No.
-
Sprint Burst is 100% reliable on any skill level and any latency level. It is the SAFEST and gets high returns.
Dead hard isn't 100% reliable, gets screwed by latency and just sometimes doesn't work. But, on any decent survivor, it is a 'Press E to extend chase by 20-30 seconds' power with 0 counterplay and ridiculous amount of carrying for just one greedy survivoid.
Both are absurdly strong and most survivors are lost without them (or most exhaustion). I think they're on equal footing.
-
Yeah it comes down to M1 simulator and a free hit to fill please the dopamine receptors of the poor saps that somehow find anything appealing in the creative hollowness that is Legion.
Almost all Legions stack atrocious amounts of slowdown because the killer is just so god awfully bad that without them they'd get rushed down in most red rank matches. It becomes extremely tiresome, especially with teammates that constantly heal and drop pallets without being injured. It's either get hit for free or do the typical loop kata you'd use against any M1 killer.
Holy ######### I'd give anything for Legion to get a rework and no longer get a hit without earning it whatsoever and trade it for better downing power. I just can't stand Feral Frenzy.
-
How a sweaty team that 'Gen rushes' will actually play:
4 gens will fly because people who think NOED is a solution are 99% of the time going to get rushed even by solo's.
The last gen, or two and maybe even 3 are 99'd while the team scrambles to find the totems.
In a minute or so all totems are gone, they all escape or you get a cheeky 1K.
Alternative:
They don't bother with totems and just let one guy die. Maybe 2. GG got a 2k thanks to NOED.
How it'll feel for generic solo queue people:
More M1 holding and killers getting insecure that they're being looped by solo's in Ironworks of Misery, may or may not be some BM after the NOED down.
Bad idea. I'd prefer some slowdown perk to be given than NOED. Except on Nurse. No decent nurse needs a free slowdown in public matches.
-
Every single 'tell' from the Spirit is either some flimsy reliance on a perk or some ridiculous stretch like buggy animations or shards that gain a shiny pixel.
You want to know the truth? Anything that causes such massive debates among people of different skills levels, from the best to the worst, indicates that there's probably an issue with them. Nobody has ever found a reliable way to deal with a Spirit or know when she's phasing. Top players might run her better, sure, but they've dedicated hundreds to even thousands of hours to JUST facing Spirit and Nurse. This is far beyond what should be expected of normal players just wanting to enjoy the game.
If you want to counter Spirit, practice against her for hundreds of hours with a good team. At some people you might get the skillset necessary to sort of hold your own. Is it worth it? Absolutely not. But fanatical and polarising killer mains will just say you're too lazy to learn and need to be spoon-fed counterplay, when let's face it, the Spirit is a spoon-fed win in 99% of public matches (especially with Stridor). Bear with it and hope the next killer is something fun like a strong Billy or something.
-
Give something of a clue as to where she is. The bug Scott talks about depends on sounds, which are completely broken in this game, especially when terror radius is concerned. I think one of the visual cues suggested in this thread would work good combined with a slight buff to her phase duration.
I think passive phasing is also a slight issues if you play 'burst' spirit. Basically no consequence for just using the power in short bursts. Your power returns in no time and the survivor barely has anything they can do. It'd be nice if the Spirit wouldn't immediately attack out of phase, which could encourage different forms of play such as bodyblocking outright.
No one wants her to suck, but it is completely unreasonable to keep such a killer going the way she is. We already have Freddy for low-risk high-reward play even if he isn't all that strong in the end (Just a solo stomper), we don't need a killer that is nearly impossible to predict if used by someone that doesn't suck.

I'm not sure Legion is the best comparison, given that they only get a free injure and have to work exceptionally hard for everything else.
The satisfaction from the low effort results make the comparison stronger than people think, in my opinion. Coupled with the fact that unlike what people like to think here, they aren't facing sweaty SWF's most of the time. You will get plenty of free game delay with legion and downs will come rather quickly when every solo turd panic drops pallets.
In a more intense scenario, yes Legion is absolutely garbage and will have to play M1 killer to get a down, but in most situations they'll do alright. And as I said, it comes down to the /satisfaction/ factor. Legion is braindead when it comes to getting injuries, which for more than a few killers is a desperate struggle because the /game is so survivor sided/ (this is said in jest).
-
The same reason why people love Legion. She basically gets stuff done for free in the hands of people that, let's face it, are not good at this game. Whereas Legion can get an injury with absolutely no effort whatsoever (unless they're exceptionally bad), Spirit can do the same with both an injury, and especially a down.
They're both 'fun' to use as well, as they move quicker than most killers. I do find Spirit fun to use sometimes, scaring some survivors and even just doing memey things. But this fun is clearly born from the fact that nothing can be done to stop her, and consequently there is minimal pressure felt when playing her. Her 'control' comes from robbing your adversaries of any satisfying or pleasant gameplay, which is inherently a problem. You can oppress a team without this absolutely silly trait, but you'd need a modicum of skill.
-
A spirit that doesn't suck? None beyond having tournament skills and dropping most pallets early. Even then it's heads or tails.
Spirit that sucks? Move strangely, crouch sometimes, player immersed. Bad spirits are still volatile and can sometimes catch you off guard because they themselves don't know what they are doing. Luckily, these are more or less the majority and 100% those that defend Spirit (there's quite a bit).
-
It seems pretty clear map design is something they've not mastered despite working on this game for over 5 years. The fact that they think the current Gideon Meat Plant map is a perfectly acceptable replacement to its predecessor is the proof. In no universe is that map enjoyable or balanced. At least Cowshed gets the excuse of being an older map and hard to grasp how strong it is for the rank 21's that designed it.

I believe you may be referencing me because in the last major discussion about this topic the term "I don't care" was used as a major point of contention.
I don't know if this is a sore point but I'd like to clear it up regardless. In that thread, my use of terms like "I don't care about the sexuality of the characters in this game" was not meant to suggest that I had anything against the inclusion of homosexual relationships, merely that the relationships of the characters was not an important factor to me in defining their worth. They could be gay OR straight, it wouldn't have a bearing on which characters I chose or didn't choose.
You may not be interested in responding to this and if so that's okay, it's your prerogative of course. But I never came to this site to hurt or ostracize anybody and if anyone is still leery of me because they felt that I meant harm or spoke with ignorance, I'd like to start over and lessen any bitterness that may still exist.
You really don't have to apologize or explain yourself, as you did not do anything wrong or say anything that'd make anyone doubt your reasonable nature. The thread started in a rather negative light, questioning how there'd be potential bad reactions from the charm. This will naturally attract various perspectives and opinions. This wasn't a place to discuss 'hopes for the future of gay people in this game', it was a place to address a potential issue that may occur in the game and people gave their opinions.

Yeah that's much better worded, egocentrism playing a part.
Though just because something should be taken for granted, that doesn't mean it can't be celebrated (We still celebrate birthdays below the average lifespan), so long as it takes into consideration the hardships of others.
Were I to take part in PRIDE activities, I'd give general support all around, but when directly asked about myself, would be an arse and legs guy.
You are right, we can certainly celebrate anything we want in the end. Which is why I do frown upon those that think some people have less merit than others when it comes to what can be celebrated. And yes, if a big thing about the celebrated event is also the hardships, it is important to remember and ensure these things don't repeat in future generations.

Also, just as a side note. The burden of educating isn’t on minorities. It’s 2021, google exists and nobody has an excuse for their ignorance anymore.
The burden of educating is on nobody. If you care about your cause or whatever and someone is genuinely interested in hearing about it, you probably should be able to share something. People will naturally educate themselves if they are intrigued or feel sympathy for your community/cause. If they just want to argue, they'll never educate themselves so this statement is pointless anyway. Saying 'educate yourself' will 100% annoy and just peg you as someone more condescending than anything else. Also, minorities are not above anything, just as the majority are not either. This is just a lazy argument to avoid having to explain your points. And one that creates massive indifference from a lot of people that would otherwise sympathize.

Not having to care about something because it doesn’t impact you is the prime example of privilege.
And? That doesn't mean anything. Just because one person doesn't have a specific struggle doesn't mean they're actually privileged as an individual. What is your point?

Probably a lot of different factors all around, but from my perspective it's a celebration that's open for everyone, but celebrating only a subset of society. The more empathetic you are and knowledgeable about LGBT+ and how those individuals are/have been treated, the less that bothers you. The less familiar you are with the topic, well you're just told to support it or you're a bad person.
From where I'm from, homosexuals and otherwise are similarly accepted... I think. My area's not diverse (the subject never comes up). So I'm making assumptions on what I've been told being LGBT+ is like.
EDIT: nvm, just remembered I have gay "uncles" (family friends). I just.. forgot they were gay.
Oh I see what you mean, like these people that can't bear to be the centre of attention? Yeah that sounds about right. To be fair, it's not uncommon for me to see the same sorts of people in the community goad these egotists that aren't in it about being 'special' and 'in the group'. In the end it seems to be an ego thing if not a hatred over other sexual orientations, which is a thing but I don't think it is as rampant where I'm from anyway.
I have to disagree with heterosexuality being 'celebrated' so much as it is just the 'norm' staistics wise. You don't celebrate things that are taken for granted or are the majority of something. I don't think there's a need to celebrate it either, but those that strongly oppose it do come off as the same egotists we've mentioned before. Gotta make sure we got something over the oppressive 'others', right?
My brother's gay so I'll always share my support for this cause, I'm fine with the charm and I'd be fine with any other charm so long as it doesn't force me to care about more than I want to.

Hmmm, uncertain this is correct. Isn't Pride month inclusive to all, including heterosexuals that want to help the cause? Also, I do not think homosexual and otherwise are really excluded from anything where I'm from.

Bill, as a L4D fan I couldn't ignore this beautiful geezer.
-
Neither. Huntress is possibly the least annoying, but those that main her in red ranks are perhaps some of the sweatiest, most insecure players I've ever seen, on par with Spirit and Nurse players that aren't good enough to be top tier players. Her hitboxes always annoy me too, clearly outplaying the huntress but getting hit anyway. Her singing gets super annoying and ends up feeling more like a boon than a drawback with how little her actual radius is. They all run the same goddamn build too (Corrupt, BBQ, Pop, IronMaiden/Some variation here), boring.
Deathslinger is just awful to play against if the player is actually good. Which is rare. They don't tend to be quite as sweaty, but it'll usually go two ways: They stomp because there's little you can do if he's skilled and has momentum, or he sucks and he's just going to proxy/tunnel because even vs solos he's just too unskilled to get anything going which ruins it for everyone, including the slinger.
Overall, they're both mega annoying in my experience. Most killers that you 'outplay' but can still screw you regardless are just as asinine as dead hard sweaty survivors that need perks to barely function.
-
Mix of just janky matchmaking in PTB + He isn't the easiest killer to use. He's definitely not weak and is pretty much unwinnable in some times, like the safe auto-haven or McMillan loops, or TL's. I've seen some good ones and they so ######### your world.

its a meme picture that i thought was funny.
though if current discord conversations im having are anything to go by anything above a single flag does seem to make a whole lot of people really angry for no apparent reason.
It is a funny meme but I have a strong feeling that a lot of people would get very 'upseto' if 'heteros' was switched with 'homos' in this meme. Maybe not you as you seem to have a sense of humour, but people overzealous about these things tend to be pretty keen on maintaining double standards.
On this topic however, do not capitulate to a few idiots doing idiot things. Chances are a lot of them are just trolls that won't do it nor truly care about this, wanting to just trigger people like what's going on here. Nonetheless, don't let threats get in the way of your safe and easy politics to gain karma for your brand, it'll only embolden the idiots to keep doing this and bully the organization into playing it extra, EXTRA safe.

divine' retribution for what has been done to Umbrella by their actions in RE1
are talking about Jill and Chris blowing up the Spencer mansion?
Essentially messing with their plans, yes, and killing their first successful prototype. Basically they probed a God (Umbrella), and so now their Nemesis is here for some retribution.
-
First point: Likely came to this agreement with Capcom. The Nemesis fits regardless, as he is STARS' Nemesis, 'divine' retribution for what has been done to Umbrella by their actions in RE1. I'm personally fine with it. Pursuer is cool but I'm sure they have their reasons to keep it as it is.
Second point: No, you want the killer to be presented the way people know him. His ugly mug is what consumers see on the box art of RE3. Besides, all your GAMEPLAY (not cutscene bullcrap) interactions with him in the remake when he's in this form involve the absence of the hood. I'd say the mask itself should be a cosmetic to be acquired.
Third: He doesn't need more stuff, he's good enough as is.
Fourth: Map is awful for gameplay but truly enjoyable to see and navigate when casually exploring. It's a shame a middle ground couldn't be met between fun gameplay and staying true to the series' vision.
-
Hell yeah.
The God Pallets and In-door features of The Game.
The Massive size of Mother's Dwelling.
The impossible to patrol, multi-floor gens of Haddonfield.
They've done it. They've finally created the worst gameplay experience imaginable.
-
It's a good strategy that can easily be abused by strong teams. Not so good against more regular teams. Nonetheless, it does seem like a flaw that unnecessarily denies power from Nemesis. This should be addressed, perhaps have the zombie infection count to the Tier progress since the zombies are ultimately part of Nemesis' power. Another idea is to have infection have more of a penalty than merely be vulnerable to Nemmy's wang (which can be worked around, especially without T3).

Yeah it took a competitive player with full perks vs a yellow addon, perkless spirit to showcase some 'counter play'. Which was absolutely unreliable given the differences in performance between rounds. This is a competitive player that has mastered going against Spirits and Nurses with a gargantuan amount of hours to boot. And he still died in very short chases at times, and his longest ones involved human error from Scott or having very good pallets to pre-drop in a row. Props to Hiron, he did so some good plays, but it never felt consistent.
Dropping every pallet on the map vs Spirit in 99% of the games, ending with 9 of them fried in the first minute and a half of the game, will spell the end for the team. Because almost never are your teammates as efficient as competitive squads, nor will they necessarily stay on gens when you pass by them during looping (because then any decent spirit can get an easy grab).
There is no counter play to a spirit in any REGULAR match. It's absolutely unreasonable to expect the average DBD player to adapt to such a monstrosity as competitive player like Hiron would (and even then comes out iffy). I'm convinced those that still defend her either are perpetually in low ranks or are downright lying for whatever reason.

Fun build I had so far:
Fixated, Sprint Burst, Plunderer's, Kindred.
Fixated is great to getting crafty during chases or even bamboozle the killer. Get around faster while holding sprint burst.
Sprint Burst is pretty meta sure, but I find it surprisingly fun to use with Fixated. Helps a lot during chases, especially with rampant Tinkerers.
Plunderer's will yield you nice items and you have a good chance of getting a medkit if you need those heals.
Kindred helps do safe and efficient unhooks without the overused BT and can help know what your colleagues are up to (can find one for a heal or know where the killer is by how some are moving).

I think people have the wrong expectations of these realm overhauls. They expect balance changes, but that's not what these updates are about. They're about redoing all the assets, improving visual fidelity, or simply put, making them look prettier. And the devs may as well include breakable walls into these overhauled maps because they were going to be implemented anyhow.
I really don't think the devs went into this Realm Beyond update streak with the intent of balancing the maps. If they had, we'd see map layouts get changed around, some maps would get their overall size changed, hook count changes, pallet count changes. Yes some tiles were changed, most recently some tiles unique to Coldwind, but that can hardly be called an effort at balancing those maps. Patch 3.7.0 was a map balance patch. These patches aren't.
What purpose did the visual improvements to totems and the hatch do balance-wise? Of course they didn't change anything balance-wise, that wasn't the point.
Ormond and The Game got an overhaul. This wasn't purely cosmetic. SOME maps were just that, others weren't. The fact that they cherry picked some maps and not others (some that desperately need a balance rework) makes me wonder just where the priorities are in this organization. Not that the balancing was good whatsoever. Ormond is more tolerable, but The Game? Even a rank 20 with 30 hours in the game will tell you just how braindead the design is. I'm left to wonder why some are as you say, just redoing assets, and others are very much a completely change of the tiles and layout of the maps.

Going by what's logical to represent the company in current and future business endeavours:
Survivors: Chris Redfield, the main protagonist of the series basically, although Leon/Claire are also good choices with the upcoming Netflix series they may want to advertise too and prolong into multiple seasons. I hate to make it such a wide bracket but these three seem the most logical. If this ends up being none of them I'll play my disliked killer twice.
Killers: One of the Tyrants, so Mr. X or Nemesis, if it's one of them there will be a skin of the other. But if I had to definitely choose ... Nemesis. Just because he'd scream STARS like Demo would REEEE.
Map: Raccoon city would be very cool, less so the Police Department, we need less indoor maps.
Least favourite killer to play: Ghostface.
-
What's that? You don't want to waste minutes of your time doing nothing when you have a limited time to enjoy gaming before real life hammers you with its mundane nature again?
Well tough #########. This is dead by daylight, where the rules to have fun are dictated by adult children that firmly believe you should not care about other people's fun but you should definitely be punished if you don't consider their fun. You want to leave early so you can maximize your fun in this game you love? Too bad
Got slugged for four minutes? Just do something else! You've been waiting all day to play dead by daylight and that's what you want to do for the next hour? HAH! Enjoy your timeout you troglodyte! 12% of your time now gone as a slug, and probably 12% more in queues waiting for another man-child to show you how a TRUE MASTER plays. About 25% of your precious DBD hour you were looking forward to now gone. But hey, at least you got to do an EXCITING crawl to the finish and hopefully find hatch (you won't).
DC penalty has not fixed anything. Survivors that are dicks suicide on hook. Killers have to endure 10 minutes of taunting. Normal survivors have to suffer some kiddie tantrum killer's whims because they had the audacity to play solo. All that to please people who don't care about others anyway.
-
I'd put Hag in A tier. She's a solo destroyer but only Hags of Michi's level can really compete with SWF's, and they won't beat tournament guys in serious settings. When a killer is exceptionally good vs solos but falls flat against organized teams, the power is probably badly designed and need fixing. Still, very strong with lots of skill, but not S tier IMO.
Blight is a very difficult subject. I do believe an optimal blight with DPI abuse is superior to Spirit, as he can pretty much hit you anywhere at anytime with little you can do about it. The difference is that Spirit pretty much cheats her way through strong teams with her stand still bullcrap while Blight can still be predicted (but once again, DPI abuse + absurdly high skill can make EVERYWHERE unsafe).
I would not put Clown over Plague. She may lack chase strength, but she makes up for it with massive snowball potential. Similar to Oni in a sense but less efficient. Still, I do think Clown earns a spot in bottom B simply due to how good he can be in 1 v 1. But Plague deserves more. She can crap on loops with her corrupt purge which is given to he for free now.
IMO Slinger is superior to Huntress in higher levels. Slinger may even be deserving of bottom A but that's just me.
Freddy should probably replace Hag in bottom S. While he may not be ass good vs strong teams, he's still GOOD no matter what. Hell he's good against EVERYTHING that isn't some ridiculously sweaty SWF when played by the most average of players.
Switch Billy and Pyramid, Billy just isn't that threatening in loops, even if they're curve Gods. His mobility is very nice but his chase potential is very MEH since his addons got reworked. Pyramid, while lacking map pressure, makes up for it with cages and meta perk countering, which is CONSIDERABLE if you want to win against stronger teams (he'll still fail against the top, but so will Billy).
Oni's fine where he is, although his position in A can vary. All it takes is a safe pallet looping team and he may as well be D tier.
Myers ... Yeah, D tier. Pig is D tier, the only time she's a threat is when there's this tampered timer + box/removal time abuse. Which is just RNG crap, and RNG is what makes this game suck. Pig sucks. I still love her.
Ghostface bottom C. Inconsistent power, basically an M1 killer that has a gimmick and that gimmick is extremely unreliable. No killer with such inconsistency should be taken seriously.
Solid list, most of my answers are tweaks more than anything.

I play survivor my friend boost me but killer cant get boost the only thing that can boost them is the bad survivor who are rank 1. If you think tunneling and camping give pip you will have a hard awakening when you try killer in the red rank
That's what I said, the matchmaking is so 'perfect' that it usually gives killers unusually easy matches no matter the ranks. Or sometimes you get far too good people for your rank. Tunnelling and camping will secure you easy pips. How do you think most people adept in red ranks? They tunnel the first guy and proxy camp while keeping decent early-game pressure. Then they farm the gatekeeper points when two are left. And, I play red ranks most of the time on killer. Camping and tunnelling are probably the EASIEST way to pip, lol. Just don't face camp and your chaser won't be hindred.

A lot of very boosted killers are prowling the game with rank reset. Because of how mediocre they are in general, but are propelled by the ever present and perfect matchmaking, they believe that the only way to win is by resorting to early tunnelling and camping. Not realizing that most of the time they're against solos that are ill equipped to deal with it. These same killers will almost always lose to even an average SWF (those that are hardly coordinated and do it for fun) because they are ultimately boosted and won't be able to handle any sort of strategic approach from survivors.
Just play Killer if you don't have friends to play with.

I really love his Dark Souls videos. It shows just how skill and determined he was even before DBD. I still actually prefer those videos, since they are much more technical overall and require a degree of willpower that is lost in DBD due to the speed at which games go and how repetitive it is.
He's a great guy with a great personality and mind. There's a reason he's the most watched DBD streamer by a significant margin. I feel like a lot of the 'controversy' people are making against him (not the debate but the grifters that start shitting on the poor man on the side) is only to get some of that clout. You're free to not enjoy him, that's perfectly fine, and I do find the DBD content quite dull at times.

He's not that strong if your team is composed of people that understand not giving him blood early on is worth more than any god pallet in the map. If you just throw pallets and play safe while your team doesn't slack too much, it's pretty much game.
Also, play STEALTHY when he's in demon mode. Hear a terror radius as he's chasing? Locker. That way infectious won't work. He's Very easy to counter if you have KNOWLEDGE and aren't OVERCONFIDENT. Only an cocky survivor will engage in a chase with an frenzied Oni voluntarily. Just outlast him. He'll be back to overweight, clumsy M1 killer form soon.
Top Knot is OP btw.

When you play this game a bit most killers lose their big intimidation factor, but I do feel some keep me on edge more than others.
The Oni is actually one I DO NOT fear at the start of the game and is chasing me. Because now I know my teammates won't mess up and feed him free blood. I safe pallet loop and cost him very precious time. But if he's injured at least one person? He may as well be the scariest killer.
Ghostface due to how powerful his stealth can be. I run spinechill a whole lot but he's still very intimidating with how quick he can stalk you, which I feel Myers loses a lot on when you run this perk in particular.
Bubba. He is the killer that makes me let go of a gen the moment I hear a terror radius and don't immediately see him. He is now much scarier than Billy in that if I'm not quick to react, it's over. He is truly a terrifying character to mess with when you're not prepared.
Victor scares me if I'm injured and my team is also mostly injured. He is deceptively powerful and can end a game faster than a nurse if given the chance. Also no terror radius makes reacting very difficult.

And killers don't care about the survivors' fun.
Or, a better answer is, you sometimes get dickheads and the few times you get the worst of the worst, they occupy 90% of your memory when it comes to this overly repetitive game. I've gotten wholesome people on both ends. Just recently, I've been learning plague, clutched a 4K in cowshed when I wasn't doing too good in my attempts to learn her corrupt purge. At the endgame, it came down to picking off the remaining guys and got my kills. The Claudette that enjoyed t-bagging me at every pallet (note this is cowshed) called me an 'ez camper', but the Ace replied with 'I had kindred, I did not see any camping, maybe don't loop near the killer' went on to say gg fun game.
I have a feeling people just let these cancerous individuals occupy their head rent free instead of realizing most of the time it's just blokes playing the game for fun. Ideally, don't try to care too much about another person's fun, but try to not make their time miserable. We're all here to enjoy some recreation, and a few are here to make it suck. But just a few.

Most huntresses are turds that worship pallets lol. The only annoying things are either the hitboxes or how tryhard most huntress mains are. She's perfectly fine otherwise with a good skill ceiling.
