Okay, now how about someone do this after him WITHOUT the preferential matchmaking?
Don't get me wrong, I'm in absolute awe at the raw skill displayed at clubbing baby seals with barely 4-500 hours that run into walls because they don't look ahead of themselves and don't work on gens because they are too busy being the next JRM/Ayrun/etc and can't even run in a straight line to efficiently chain strong loops and abuse infinites, etc.
Why do I feel like playing Pig on Red Forest against Hens333 and his squad would yield vastly different results?
Nothing personal against Otz by the way, he is a really cool guy and a pillar of the community we should all aspire to be, but this should not be used to gleam some sort of significant insight. The only thing it actually shows is that SBMM doesn't work and the tippity top MMR killers are regularly fed baby survivors who have absolutely zero business in being the same lobby as them.
If you think Wraith is a perfectly viable Killer show me a single tournament where he 4k-ed, I'll be waiting.
While I haven't kept up with the tournament scene in a year, I can say with confidence that your argument is fundamentally wrong in your tournament example. Tournaments have different formats and aim to make every killer A-tier by imposing restrictions on teams. Additionally, if Wraith is a pick on a tournament, BOTH teams must use Wraith as their killer for that round, and the one with the most hook stages will win. I have no doubt that in one instance there's been a 4k.
Now what you're likely referring to is tournament level teams with no restrictions facing an equally skilled Wraith. Obviously that isn't fair and won't work. This won't work on the majority of killers unless they get very lucky. However you can still make a tournament off this and the Wraith wouldn't aim to 4K but instead secure enough hook stages to make their team win. Definitely possible.
Anyway, as for clips, I can't find many clips of tournaments in general but here is a scrim of Team Shrouded practicing with their killer using Wraith: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSlpmIP1_H8 he got a 4K. I have no doubt you can 4k with any killer when a tournament is balanced with the right rules.
You don't face people like Hens' team very often. If you feel that way, it might be because there is a wide gap between your skill level and Otz's. That's not to say he doesn't get babies too. He does. But so do you. It's impossible that you don't unless you're the unluckiest person out there. MMR is a joke, sure, but it's a joke to everyone. Killers that think they need to tunnel constantly are just nowhere near, and probably won't ever be given they're not actually improving, Otz's level, so it makes sense that they feel that way.
Although when you do face teams like you've mentioned, yeah you may need to tunnel and camp. But let's not act like it's common. Most of the time the killer's skill is just inferior to the survivors' and ends up just /feeling/ that way.
Nevermind, I forgot DBDLeague finals had a wraith game. Singularity 4k'd, Eternal 2K'd. You didn't have to wait long.
https://youtu.be/S_sSvv6BR0gWraith game is at about 1:50. Yeah. People need to stop using "not tournament viable" when they have no idea what they're talking about.

No you're just twisting the stats to suit your own thoughts and opinions. You cant take what you want and disregard the rest. You do you though, notifications off.
That's literally exactly what you're doing. Completely disregarding stats because they don't suit you. I mean you've never hid how overwhelmingly "Killer Main" you are so obviously a lot of people are gonna roll their eyes at this take.
I don't have much of an opinion otherwise. The stats sound about right from what I've been seeing. More people might need to accept they're not as good as they think they are.
-
It's very unhealthy for the game. Camping is an issue that both sides want addressed, and this exacerbates the problem. Grabs shouldn't happen on a healthy survivor. Secure a trade, no point getting a free win because you refused to leave the hook.

I don't see a fraction of cheating killers like a I do survivors. Claiming both sides is a cop out.
Probably because survivors have faster queues
-
Because they couldn't get the dopamine they wanted in CS:GO where the playing field is levelled, so they use DBD to win with obnoxiously powerful strategies more than half the playerbase can't really deal with.
-
Because of EGC. You can make an endgame build with Pig and give yourself the most annoying slow search addons. Guaranteed kills without doing anything all game if you just NOED one guy and they start trading to save.
The goal of the traps is game delay, not giving cheese kills to people who aren't good enough to get the hooks for it on a consistent basis.
Pig sucks but this isn't a buff she needs.
EDIT: NVM active trap should kill them. Inactive traps should not because of above.

Because that would be a really logical and reasonable idea to do
We gotta make them think they came up with it otherwise it won't happen. Too many people figured out removing perk tiers was easier and would guarantee grind reduce, so a more convoluted solution had to be found so it was BHVR's very own super unique donut steel Original idea.
I just want my ######### BP mang I wanna get some nice perks on everyone but I gotta do entire prestige levels to get all the default perks on the survs.
-
Because if they had skill they'd play a game where it matters. Content creators get money for DBD so it makes sense.
-
The patch just encourages most seasoned players to SWF more unless they just want to meme.
So no, if I want to get anything done like archives or get Iri 1, I'll be 100% SWF'ing now. Solo is going to be way too painful.

@jesterkind said:
There are two things that must be done:
1: Give more incentive for killers in general to leave the hook. This can come from perk design, light discouragements (IE, bloodpoint loss, aura reveal, survivors repairing faster) for lingering near the hook with no other survivors around, and from buffing chase mechanics; two of those are being doubled down on in the next patch, so we'll see how well that works out.
2: Nerf specific powers. I see people say all powers should be disabled within a certain radius, but that misses the point- most killers can be played around even if they're facecamping, and so disabling all powers just punishes people who camp at the endgame or who have reason to be in that area. Rather, they should be looking at the killers who facecamp most effectively and tweaking them instead. The biggest offender is Bubba, and I believe his chainsaw should stop dead when it hits Endurance so he can only force a trade instead of downing both the unhooked and the unhooker.
To a degree, camping is always going to exist. What the devs can and should do is give survivors tools to deal with it, not try and prevent killers from ever doing it to begin with; by and large countering facecamping against, say, a Trapper with no relevant perks and no traps in the vicinity isn't that hard. It's a problem when specific mechanics interact with it, and when survivors don't know that they're facing it straight away, so that's where we need to look to fix it.
If survivors have good tools and information to tackle camping, the absolute amount of camping killers will go down and the remaining ones won't be nearly as frustrating.
I have to disagree with 1. You could double the time to do a gen and people would still camp and tunnel. A lot. Incentive doesn't really stop people from going the easy route. Especially when the side with one person versing the group feels like a victim half the time.
This is 100% a stick over carrot scenario, and punishment for camping is the only way to really stop it in a substantial manner. I like the idea of the hook timer slowing and even downright stopping under specific conditions. Though the issue is some people will just camp from a distance (Huntress, Nurse ...) instead of going for more hooks, which would be the point.
If the killer fails to get into a chase within 30 seconds of hooking the timer stops. Survivors can sit on gens the whole time and the killer HAS to leave to chase. They also can't just sit somewhere and then defend a territory/hold a range blink because of this.
In the situation of 3 gens: When only 1 generator remains, the timer is merely slowed, not halted, as to prevent both sides from holding eachother hostage.
-
Depends if it benefits them enough to actually do it.
David being gay/bi was extremely safe and the LGBT+ (Mostly the first three) are an extremely powerful network in business, so it made sense to get a good image. Especially when playing it double-safe with an already established character that's loved. I'm not so sure how beneficial a non-binary character would be to the company. Might be, might not be.
I'm not one to care about representation (Do not use this to assume anything), because in the end it's just me being marketed to. My healthy entourage validates me enough. Maybe people need more of that.
-
Been running Open Handed + Kindred for about nine months now. I know exactly what goes on in these scenarios and the majority of the time the killer was going to camp anyway.
Most killers that say 'You were by hook I had no reason to leave' tend to rationalise their resignation to camp with the actions of others. The vast majority of the time they would camp anyway and then rationalise with 'I had nobody to chase' or 'It was the best play'. Mind you, there isn't actually anything wrong with this.
But own up to your decision to camp. Stop acting like the baby solos bored out of their minds with the fourth camping killer in a row really have a choice here. I do this sometimes too and I fully admit that I'm essentially camping and survivors are unbelievably bored of that, enough to throw the game or desperate do uncoordinated stuff.
This thread is pointless. You camped, survivors were probably bad, and doing just gens is worse than waiting in queues at times.

If you want to play semantics. I should have written it's NOT ALWAYS about camping. "In most scenarios of this happening it is by a camper" you only can base this on your personal experience. My personal experience begs to differ.
I stand by what I wrote. If you can't wait until you are out of my TR when I'm leaving the hook then it's on you if you get grabbed. You have plenty of time for a save before someone reachers second stage there is no absolutely no reason to do it as soon as my back is turned. You're just being greedy and greed gets punished. Don't like hook grabs, don't play this way.
In what way are these semantics? Going from -nothing- to -not always- is more than semantics, from nothing to something. And yes, in my experience hook grabs happen more when the killer is married to the hook. It's actually intuitive. And yes, I do know it also happens mid-chase or during a farm. In the end, yes it has to do with personal experience and that moulds some exaggerations, but to say it has -nothing- to do with camping was just ignorant.
Okay and when I get killers that don't play like you, what do I do? Those that don't actually leave the hook and fish for these grabs all day? I mean, I know what I do if I have a team, these killers get ######### on in this case, but in the default state of the game where coordination is very difficult to come by, what do I do when the killer refuses to leave the hook? Normally I'd be fine with a trade, but I can't even get that, and the killer is rewarded EVEN MORE for just standing by the hook (again, excludes insta-downs). You can say 'do gens' but we're talking about solo here, it's not happening.

It has nothing to do with camping. I avoid camping and nearly all the grabs I've been able to get are survivors rushing in as soon as I hook someone. What do you expect me to do? Stand back and let the unhook happen right in my face? Is preventing an unhook against the rules now?
Nothing to do with camping? In most scenarios of this happening it is by a camper, unless it's an insta-down killer. To say it has NOTHING to do with camping is a downright lie, even if it's not applicable to you.
If you've failed to injure the survivor beforehand, then the play is likely to get a trade. I do not think you deserve two people down (one on hook already) because you've either failed to zone them away from the hook or couldn't execute a trade. In any case, these scenarios have always led to someone being downed very quickly afterwards in my games, so I end up usually with a net positive, as the other remains injured, and often I'd even get a slug to go with this play.
-
Of course it's a terrible mechanic. But it benefits the easiest strategy killers use against weaker teams, and they love to to destroy them. So obviously they won't want to change it. Let's just forget that the 'strong' teams often referenced are never at risk of this sort of grab anyway.
If you guys desperately want to win by camping, just keep playing Bubba. Stop trying to make camping stronger on everything.

weird because to use her teleport right you do actually need mechanical skill, sounds more like you're the one with the bruised ego here. So you're saying you shouldn't be rewarded for playing well and utilizing her power properly? Sorry it's not dark souls lvl of broken controls that you need to master, which btw is not skill that's you fighting the controller (a rant for a different forum). My god you can just smell survivor mains on this forum lately lol. Your precious 2nd chance perks get touched now you want more killer nerfs than they're already getting to balance out the fact that your add ons got touched. If what you're saying is true, because this may surprise you, a lot of people who play this game also play other games. Which is weird considering how many bad nurses there are in compared to good ones.
Okay so there's a skill involved with her. I never denied this. I question how big of a feat it is to be decent as a Nurse to the point of 4k'ing most higher level games. It's really not that amazing. Still requires effort, I fully recognize it, but it doesn't entitle one to an abundance of success which is what I constantly get the vibe from the hard defenders of Nurse.
I'm starting to understand why you'd consider getting good at Nurse a feat to respect. With such a terrible take on the Souls games, games that are outrageously simple mechanics-wise if you just invest a few hours in them, I can only assume you are not a fast learner or gave up very quickly.
You cannot call me a 'main' of anything. You do not know me or what I prefer. You can probably find me complaining about Dead Hard on this forum too. I was also sorely disappointed of the Dead Hard rework and would rather have it deleted. Try again.
Anyway. I've seen more decent nurses than Good or Bad ones. And Decent is all you need right now to get consistent results.

But I'm not? I don't have a personal grievance against THE NURSE beyond not liking her balance, I am annoyed with how people act like getting good with her is some grand feat that deserves unique respect and consideration. It doesn't. It reeks of the same entitlement survivors have. You're not entitled to winning 95% of your matches just because you've grinded a busted character.
And I'm saying this as someone who has played Nurse and got decent at her a while back. You don't have to believe me, as I'm a nobody. But there isn't /salt/ here. Just annoyance at some attitudes and egos.

so you agree, she requires a lot of skill to play and you got owned because you tried to make a cheese play? Meaning she's actually balanced since she requires skill to reach the same lvl as a lower tier easier killer that has a decent kill rate due to her being played mainly in mid to low mmrs where survivors aren't as good/experienced with the game?
-A lot of skill-
Compared to what? The Average DBD gameplay? Sure.
To anyone who has played multiple video games before with mechanical depth? No. Get over yourself. The killer isn't nearly as hard as the mains try to suggest. It doesn't even take a hundred hours to get stomps in the majority of your games, especially with some addons.
Stop using 'skill' as a defense for how ridiculous she gets when properly used. It just reeks of ego and it needs to be put down a notch.

They don't know how to. They won't admit it, but they've proven it with the last updates to maps. NONE have been improved in a a BIG way. The BEST update was Ormond, and people still dislike getting it because of how MASSIVE it is.
Reminder: They thought Gideon's update was completely fine in 2021.
They DO NOT have proper know-how and resources in whatever part of the team that handles maps. Cowshed is also notoriously bad, even in their statistics, but it remains UNTOUCHED.
It's too hard to balance maps. So let's just tweak numbers instead.

Buffing killers is not going to make killers play any nicer. This is the most naive thing I've read in a while.
Agreed. They would double gen durations and you'd still have the same amount of Blights and Nurses running 4 slowdown perks. It's just human nature to want to win even if it's overwhelmingly easy. And then they lose one day and make posts like that other guy that wishes the worst to all survivors and wants everything they have gutted because the winners clicked a few times.
I'm hoping the solo changes happen soon, it is indeed very dull without a team these days, and it's about to suck more with ######### like Eruption running rampant (probably).
-
Anything that looks fun or cool to you. There is no wrong answer. Don't let 'viability' get in the way, as most people to use that term are just unviable as players rather than the character they play.
If you struggle, there are plenty of videos to teach you how to use powers better. If you struggle with general killer gameplay, experience helps as well as watching good players.
As I said, no wrong answer. I started with Pyramid Head (And Bubba for a time) because I began during the 4th Anniversary. He is considered a relatively difficult killer to play. The experience was as good as it was with any other killer in my beginnings.

Idk if you're being sarcastic.
If not, then you're just projecting. Just because you're losing 99% of the time vs 'mediocre SWFs' doesn't mean others are. Hell, every Nurse main that streams seems to be Bing Chilling, especially Supalf with his 200+ winstreak with MMR most certainly on. 99% my arse.
Omega Blink is completely broken. We all know why it's defended. People would defend a killer that wins instantly if survivors don't finish gens in 4 minutes. It's how the mediocre feel when they finally have a chance at winning big without matching up to the adversity on an equal playing field. There's only animosity and a desire to dominate.
-
I can't tell for sure how good it'll truly be. But the issue is this: DH has been the biggest problem regarding the current Meta. The smartest thing would have been to downright GUT the perk, make it as niche as Smash Hit, and then consider buffing it in another patch. I think it's VERY important to see what a Meta would be without DH or a perk that resembles it, like this one. Again, playing it safe when they try to be daring in other areas. Very strange.
-
It's just a dumb map with silly pallet distribution and quite powerful structures. I don't think it's well designed.
It also has no lockers in many areas, much like Haddonfield, which is ridiculous given the new killer. There shouldn't be massive locker deadzones anymore. I'm fine with some areas having less, makes Dredge not too overbearing, but PLEASE add some in the extreme cases, like SWAMP.

So is camping and tunneling
Those are not made up terms, they're genuine tactics. People get frustrated over them because they're extremely unpleasant, but they're legitimate and viable tactics used. To disregard them as 'made up' is being a killer equivalent of Sluzzy.
Gen rushing isn't truly the issue, it's the map layouts and how easy it is to just pre-drop everything against more than half the killer roster and still win. You can deadzone a whole area early and still lose due to W gaming + strong gen efficiency. And I definitely blame this on mapping over actual gens.

Survivors will never accept the hook securing of Bubba. They rage, slam their keyboards and run to the forums.
As Bubba, had a match last night where I had 0 kills when gens were finished, but I caught one at the 99ed exit gate as they opened it. Hooked them about 20m from open exit gate, I stood right there. The rest could have just left, in fact the reason I caught one was they 99ed the gates instead of leaving.
Know what happened next? Instead of leaving, one by one they kept trying to unhook... got the 3k.
Why? They simply cannot accept the fact Bubba can secure hooks, its not camping they hate, they hate Bubba, period. Many other killer they could have unhooked right there and BTed to gate. Not Bubba
They expect you to leave the hook during end game, sure thing man let me do that
That's an incredibly disingenuous way to represent the gripes reasonable people have with Bubba. The real issue is that the moment they lose a chase VS. Bubba that's decided to run Insidious, the game is over for them and everyone is starved of altruism.
You can make the argument of 'don't lose chase', but that should not be possible with MMR. So inevitable horrid gameplay is imminent.
Securing a kill in the circumstance you've presented is normal and more than one killer can do it near perfectly: Trickster, Billy, Myers, even Dredge with right positioning (You won't escape him with lockers between you and the door). Survivors that complain about endgame camp are entitled jokes that nobody takes seriously. But the killers I've mentioned aren't nearly as disliked in the camping department as Bubba is.
It also makes no sense that a killer can completely counter an anti-camping perk by camping. They removed Freddy's and Stealth killers' abilities to do so, why not Bubba?
I agree with buffing him for chase if his camping gets hit, by the way. He's a killer I actually enjoy playing.

I don't think that's comparable. One is just playing with the most shameless advantages possible, the other is ignoring more than half the mechanics of the game, leaving the other side with little to work with when it comes to interaction. Both kind of suck, but one definitely plays more 'DBD' than the other.
-
Lots of 'But Nurse' comments which I really didn't want it to spiral down into, but I did make the mistake of mentioning her (even if she'd come up regardless). I'm there was at least some discussion.
To address some points:
-I don't think Sprint Burst would be nearly as asinine as Dead Hard. I personally believe exhaustion is widely unnecessary in the current state of the game and adds way too much, but I find higher level killer completely manageable when it's other exhaustion at play. None feel so blatantly unfair as Dead hard.
-Nurse or not, people would bring Dead Hard anyway. The same way Killers would bring stacked slowdown even if all maps were turned into Wreckers' Yard and all exhaustion was disabled. People are not playing this game for a 'challenge' or a 'fair match', they come to dominate in ways they never could in other multiplayer games, because you'd actually need to be better than the opponent to do that. Dwelling on Nurse too much is unnecessary, make a thread about her if she's that problematic.
-Sluzzy is a gift.
-It may not be substantial data but it would be interesting to see how people here feel after that week and how known content creators do too. Some people discredit their takes, but they play this game for a living and are generally very good, so their take is still valuable and can be made digestible.
-I think the biggest issue that'll come after DH being changed is how pre-dropping + W will get universally used by all, good or bad. It's already overused against me when I play Dredge to the point where mind gaming is pointless and gameplay is so dull.
-

You can't just exclude Nurse when requesting Dead Hard to be removed. Plus Nurse is almost all you see at high end games, where Dead Hard is almost exclusively seen. There's probably a correlation there.
Your point is correct. The reason why I wanted to avoid too much Nurse talk is because I didn't want more 'what about-isms' that are inevitable in these threads, and I fully know DH is one of the only things you have to use against Nurse. That said, Dead Hard isn't 'almost exclusively seen' in high end games. The vast majority of players that understand looping and play the game quite a bit (you can argue high end but this ends up being A LOT of people of different skill level) use DH. Because it's known as good, because many content creators abuse the hell out of it, or because their friends use it. It's everywhere, even on my Dredge games when I just started him (unless they were a fresh Haddie I guess).

Would you want Corrupt Intervention disabled for a week?
I personally wouldn't mind, I favour lethal pursuer honestly for quick chases. I don't think it's too relevant to the issue, however. Corrupt Intervention is a fix to the mapping of the game and the inability to pressure early game with most killers, dead hard is just a free extension of chase that can have gargantuan effects on the game vs any killer except maybe the two S tiers.

Yeah Dead Hard is stupidly overpowered for how safe the maps are and how fast the gens are. If the gens took longer and maps were smaller/less god pallets/windows then Dead Hard would probably be fine
Given the track record with maps, I think it's just safer to remove the perk until it's completely redone. I don't trust the mapping of this game to improve gameplay-wise. The new one is not only unplayable on certain killers, but falls into the usual trap of having ridiculously awful setups with little you can do about them.
-
S tier seems accurate.
A tier: Pyramid is easily above Hag and Huntress due to very strong anti-loop + free tunnelling. Oni is also better than the mentioned two. Dredge is an odd one but I do think when people really tap into his potential he is in this tier. Where exactly? Not sure.
B tier: I think Nemesis is at the top here if factoring in his max potential, but most of the time he is pretty mid, yes. Pinhead feels pretty bottom IMO. Legion is very much torn between low B, high C, they still completely suck like none other if the team has some degree of intelligence spread around. Accurate otherwise.
C tier: I honestly think Tricktser is a mid-to-low B tier killer. His camping is ridiculously strong and he is also a very strong chaser in the right circumstances. Doc would also be lower B IMO but I understand why he's C. Deathslinger is B tier, I've seen too many good ones to think otherwise. Freddy is still a strange case. I do think he's still strong but everyone that plays him is just meme-tier bad. In theory he's easily top B, but I've seen only garbage in practice so whatever. I actually agree with clown placement here.
D tier: Sadako is C-tier, c'mon. She's got way more than what others give her credit for. Myers is also better than Trapper and Pig, but very much in this tier.
-
A lot of these challenges are 'throw the game for a few points'. I don't think the challenge designers actually listen to feedback. Hence why blood debt is still around.

thats why there is a offering to counter offerings :p
A bad fix to a dumb problem that can be remedied by just removing it. Unless you're playing scratched mirror Myers, there's no reason to NEED a map offering for any killer or survivor. It's 100% always going to be to get a massive advantage over the opposing side. Game's already ridiculous enough with the RNG.
-
Hey I think I faced you last night! I was the Nemesis in Wreckers' yard. You guys pumped out gens like it was 2016 BNP times and I ended up protecting the hook. I rarely do this, and it was absurd how fast gens were, even by high MMR standards, as I've been having fast chases and gave up a chase when it was problematic. I'm sorry it wasn't pleasant, but there was /nothing/ else I could do.
-
Punishes cheese strats. Given how whiny the killer complainers are, are you really surprised that they're defaulting to tunnelling, camping and excessive slugging? These perks counter that.
-
Very little, I hardly got 'countered' during my Plaid Flannel gaming. I wasn't 'good' but I am good at killer and understand maps quite well. Even strong survivors didn't actually last long.
Just bring a SWF to gen rush and hope to not get a nurse next game. It's abysmal gameplay, especially solo. But it's also cheap dopamine for those who need loads of DBD W's.
-
I'd argue Dredge is the strongest, even with the Licensed. There is dispute when it comes to PH but it's also a lot of speculation. The triangle man is canonically just a manifestation that was ultimately defeated by some guy who murdered his wife.
Pinhead is an odd one. I wouldn't quite know where to put him. The Cenobite got bodied quite easily the moment something that matched their power turned against them.
Nemesis is the strongest physically among the whole cast, but nothing supernatural about him beyond virus silliness.
Dredge only because it's pretty much the DBD super monster, where all super monsters are bound to the same duty as some random KPOP serial killer.

Ok cool. Doesn't mean anything, you could have just farmed them like that 500 win steak demo player cringelord did for shreds. Not saying you did, but the statement is zilch, and some big players also downplay glaring issues in the game for their own benefit, didn't say it didn't happen. But I question their motives for it.

Nurse - I'm here to play DBD, not the Nurse game. Playing her is also dumb, even with my plaid flannel gaming (because I'm rusty and hate using most of her addons), I win far, far too easily in even good MMR brackets. Sure I'll get owned against the top but that's because I've no desire to improve with this cheese-mongering killer.
Ghostface - I have a weakness to jumpscares, and he's the worst. I hate most stealth killers but this one just annoys me to no end.
Spirit - Without Iron Will, this killer is just a unpleasant. You can hear her, but 99% of Spirits run the dumbest addons and builds. I'm glad she got reworked and there is interaction, I just find the interaction abysmal.
Honourable mention: Trapper - Either EZ baby M1 killer or 'Lol guess I'll just die'. Not enough to ban but I'd be happy to never see him.

Remember, there were people who said infinites were fine, DS was fine and 5 blink Nurse was fine.
You are doing great work keeping up this trend. Blight's addons are most certainly not fine lol, no well-known Blight main thinks that in good faith.

1/ To bait.
2/ Because people love to use busted ######### to win easily so they lie about it.
3/ Current states of Blight and Nurse makes it a necessity to gain time for your team. So they defend it for that reason.
4/ To bait even harder.
5/ They are genuinely ignorant.
I think it should be removed personally, and then these super killers can get addressed properly.

Because they're not very good at the game.

I swear survivors are getting off on gen rush the game to immediately get out with the blood hunt…
I'm sorry I'll hold M1 a bit less hard during the bloodhunt. My index finger can use the rest from this intense M1 holding.

I strongly recommend you chase as much as you can while ignoring the more annoying ones. I have found that it's usually one or two that do this in a team and the others are just playing normally. Often the annoying ones will get in your way and give you free hits, which are definitely opportunities for you.
That said, the reason why I say try to chase is so you can learn and get better. For that you do need to learn to control your emotions in this sort of very frustrating situation, but this is actually quite typical in many multiplayer games. Going against these folks allows you to learn how to fight against them, even if it's painful. Resigning yourself to just camping after getting one might feel good, but you'll always be helpless against them in future games. And unless you're Bubba, chances are they'll save anyway. Also no point in securing kills if you're completely outmatched, you don't want your MMR to rise or stagnate.

That's why I miss old moris, the threat of elimination was very real and made survivor a tense experience.
Sure the scare factor of DBD wears off with exposure, but what creates that fear in the first place is the threat of elimination. Without it, its just an un-scary lackluster game of loopy loop, which makes for a ######### survival horror experience in my opinion.
Every time they water down the threat of elimination to cradle the egos of the "its not fair waah" crowd, the game's horror element takes a hit and it gets less scary and more generally tedious for both sides.
A lot of my survivor games are just gen simulator and then leave, not because I'm good at survivor but rather I either have enough second chances and tools to not worry about injury/dieing or I never see the killer all game anyway.
Its why I like facing nurse, I can't play her to save myself but I like facing her because in the right hands she is scary. A really creepy aesthetic, unnerving sound effects, threatening chase and jump scare potential.
I'm sorry but that's not really 'tense' so much as it's 'Oh great another tunneller mori guy' to make this game dull. And then I ponder whether to DC in loading, consequently costing the killer at least 5 minutes of waiting + slower queues since I play when survivor queues are fast. Literally nothing was threatening about a mori because I could just decide not to play it out. And it's totally fine given many content creators do the same for stuff like map offerings.
I feel more threatened by Bubba than a mori ever has. Because HE will end your game quickly while simultaneously make it slow and boring. But it's not scary, nor a real threat all things considered. Just a pain in my behind.
The 'threat of elimination' is just the threat of not getting to enjoy the game on my limited free time. Because of how DBD works, this mild penalty becomes a frustrating flaw that doesn't add to the experience. All it does is make me wonder why I'm not playing Elden Ring instead.
It's cool you find her fun to face and creepy. To me she's just the secret easy mode of the game people grind to unlock (via learning her). Nothing interesting, just sweating gameplay I've grown used to.

tbh, i wish the game was scary for the survivors... as it is right now is so ######### broing...
Nothing is scary after playing the game for over 300 hours. The Nurse isn't scary, just hard to face. The only 'scares' left are jumpscares from stealth killers and hag's traps.
