Only issue with it is that it punishes you for, yet again, not running in a SWF. My team is stupid? They don't suffer the consequences, I do personally. I'm glad they got buffed, but it did nothing to make them more fun beyond their awesome new music. Which is good enough for me.
-
Bait. You probably did and want to feel validated for some bizarre reason. Nobody cares. Get better at the game so you can stop tunnelling and record survivors acting entitled despite that, then you'll have quality threads.
-
Well yeah obviously people who are using the most broken thing in the game will ingest copious amounts of copium under the form of 'its super hard guys trust me' to feel better about their ceaseless waves of stomps 'teehee i'm the power role now'. Coming from someone who adepted her not too long ago. Wasn't that hard to learn. Tricky, tougher than the average DBD simplicity, but c'mon, I've played other video games before.
-
Great results. It's actually interesting to see the so-called 'unviable' killers you put in the forefront actually have over 50% of 3-4k's (which are wins) except for poor Deathslinger lol. That is without some aggressive tunnelling or camping. Nice data and work!
-
Probably when the facecamping measures are being tested, since they've claimed they were looking into that. I think Bubba will be one of the changes. And with his changes will come a new TR.
-
Giving survivors even MORE reasons to just use dead hard and all that crap? And then we have some people saying this is a good thing. I'm starting to think a lot of people are just very, very spiteful.
I like the suggestion of resurgence freezing heal regression to 50%, sounds fair and niche enough to not really disrupt anything.

I'd argue Spine Chill alone is a better situational awareness perk than pretty much anything else in the game, but I certainly won't pretend perks like BBQ and Nurses don't exist either.
Oh yeah you're definitely correct. Spine chill is an extremely powerful information and awareness tool. I think it's fine, but that's because stealth killers give me heart attacks lmao

implying survivors even need situational awareness when there are half a dozen perks that do it for them
The survivor meta doesn't really gear itself toward that I would say, but I'd also argue both sides have perks that help with it.
-
No, situational awareness is an integral skill of survivor. Noticing how many stabbies Legion has done is part of that awareness. Literally just count.

Have you met my Insidious Camping Bubba? One thing that I love about him is that you don't even need to waste a perk slot on NOED. Just stand in a corner and wait for the magic to happen.
Yes, I am familiar with that Bubba. Usually takes 70% of the game to catch someone if everyone's of equal skill in the team, and sometimes said Bubbas manage to botch their 1K. I don't know how some people get this bad but it happens.
Obviously if I'm playing solo the magic does happen. But then again, solos are easy.
-
SWF with sweaty meta perks and optimal gen pressure is fair, it's a different word for surviving.
No one in their right minds thinks this is true and yet it's part of the game. Hell, it's the first feature you see when playing survivor 'Click on the + to invite a friend' whereas tunnelling and camping definitely don't have any of that. So this sweaty survivor gameplay EXTRA FAIR.
I understand that many killers are just ... Not good and NEED these tactics to get anywhere, but my God at least stop trying to convince the world how 'fair' and 'legitimate' they are. You're just feeding onto the meme that this game is fair to begin with. You're still going to lose against survivors who are fed up with you.
-
He's not very fun to face, mostly because he's either A/ An easy M1 killer, or B/ A killer you have no chance against if they're not bad. Either too easy or too hard.
It's fun to work around him as a team, absolutely dreadful as a solo. There's nothing wrong with him, it's just yet another design choice that drains me more than it should. At this point it's becoming the whole game so whatever.
-
I assume it's because you're going under 'double' speed, as it would normally take 40 seconds of time to logically do a gen if you're two, as it takes 80 to do 1. So I believe the game is saying you technically have a 'penalty' since it's actually around 47 seconds I believe? Essentially you're going a bit under double speed.
-
Fear factor? I just dislike that I know I won't be enjoying the game anymore when a Bubba catches me. It's less fear and just the realization that I'm just not going to have fun this game, and it's hardly an uncommon thing these days.
Bubba's aren't scary, they are still just a basic killer and those campers tend to be below-average with no real interesting gameplay other than brute forcing their first down. Zzzz.
Myers being 'scary' is because he essentially ends your game early. Which means less gameplay time you get on your free time. Dreadful. Nurse just sucks to face for the 10th time that session.
The only 'scary' killers are those that jumpscare lmao. Nothing is scary or that threatening after a hundred hours. Get over yourself. Killers feel like muppets because you're probably not all that good with them. Even terrible killers can secure 2K's without sweating to the maximum.

So it does/ doesn't exist and the whining has gotten to me? Bro...
People whine when they're salty. No survivor has listed this 'rulebook' ever, it's just a compilation of ludicrous ######### idiots sometimes say. Stop letting it get to you, it's like giving a crap about what video game NPC's think of you.
-
Literally no one has this 'rulebook'. STRANGERS on the INTERNET are living rent-free in your DBD head. Play however you want and disable messaging, you're clearly not mentally capable of handling online whining.
-
Everyone would be happy except for those that depend on them. Which are the biggest crybabies. 100% support both.
Also Kindred Base kit until solo sucks less. And Corrupt base kit until maps suck less.
-
Adult Children, that's why.
Both those that insult and those that listen. Age can't fix these infants.
-
Coal Tower - Okay-ish map, size is good but pallets can be stupidly inconsistent as well as structures connected together.
Ironworks - Probably the most consistent though screw that upper floor boon location.
Groaning - Busted building and horrid gen spread.
Suffo pit - Dreadful 3 gen map with a ridiculous centre and also inconsistent pallets.
Shelter Woods - Way too big with too few pallets. Just dull on both sides.
Nah, I'd rather just let the dice roll.

Killers like Artist can guarantee downs if played 'perfectly'
Not if the survivors have mastered the ancient and very high skill ceiling tech of "holding shift+W and pre-dropping pallets" she isn't!
So you're purposely ignoring the parts where I say 'set up correctly' which punishes mindless hold W, and skillshots which also counter mindless hold w. Pre-dropping is just as applicable. The strategies work FAR LESS when the Artist is seasoned the same way 'Good Nurses' are.

If a survivor plays perfectly (against anyone other than Nurse [or maybe Blight]) , they win 100% of the time. This is ok!
If a Nurse (and maybe Blight) plays perfectly, they win 100% of the time. This is very very bad, help me BHVR nerf Nurse (and maybe Blight) plese noooooooo!
So you're clarifying your comment. Okay now we're getting somewhere. Let's address something else I've said: There's no such thing as playing perfectly unless they're cheating (or exploiting somehow). Killers like Artist can guarantee downs if played 'perfectly', or as close to perfect given there is little you can do if she sets up correctly or even skillshots like a God (definitely possible with info perks, mastery and game sense).
No one is calling for a nerf in my comment so I don't know why you're whipping out this bait-tier response. And Blight isn't even that egged on when it comes to nerfing. His only real issue are his addons which, let's face it, are indeed busted. Nurse is a broken mess for people who want to win a lot (or play tournaments for some reason) and are willing to put in the hours for it. I'm honestly kind of fine with this, over having more baby ragers.

"It's the opposite"
*proceeds to exactly paraphrase my post*
Huh.
Probably because your contradict it yourself. I've chosen to address the survivor portion since it's untrue in more than just the Nurse's case, and can't be 100% of the time if Nurse wins if she plays perfectly.
-
Man you really think you're top stuff huh?
Newsflash: Nurse is only hard and 'high skill' in the context of DBD. Which isn't really not that demanding in the skill department. You're not gigabrained, you're not faced with impossible odds, and you're not that special. The quicker you realize this, the faster we can get less cringey threads.
@FrostyEyesSusie said:

Why? Because if a Nurse player plays perfectly, she wins? If a survivor player plays perfect, he wins 100% of the time yet nobody complains about it.
It's the opposite. A perfect nurse will always win, because a survivor realistically has nothing to work with if her power is used to its fullest potential. You're projecting your inadequacies as fact and seeing anyone better than you as 'playing perfect' when there's really no such thing beyond cheaters.

Up to you what to think and believe, I'll keep doing what i do because for me is the only way to have fun as killer nowdays
You might get a disproportionate amount of SWF's, but 99%? I assume exaggeration. I also assume that you're assuming many times, and probably got outplayed by solos more often than you'd want to admit. You can't tell if other platforms are swf'ing or not, and loads of people prevent others from seeing their friends list.
I'm going to say duo's with two solos barely change anything to a full solo. The current matchmaking system just puts you with other solos that match your skill, which means less silly and thus might look more coordinated.

Why would the killer leave the hook if someone (or multiple people) are coming for the save before they’ve even had a chance to?
Also, why would the killer leave the hook when they’ve got it right between a strong 3 gen?
Etc etc
Kind of in bad faith to present these reasonable contexts yet forego the actual bore that is killers camping as a default because 'muh mmr 2 hard' or just to grief. Both extremely boring and the only shred of fun to be had is to try and save the hooked from the killer.
Why would the killer leave the hook in these situations? They shouldn't. But are these realistically the main reasons they hang around the hook? Of course not. Most of the time it's some dumb facecamping Bubba or a guy that tunnelled for two minutes.
And yes, survivors whining when your specific examples are brought up is indeed entitled mentality.
-
@DrDeepwound said:
This thread brought to you by gaslighting 101.
Survivor runs to unhook in killers face, and it's the killers fault for staying and trying to unhook.
Threads like this clearly illustrate how survivors accuse killers for their own behavior.
Hook grabs DO NOT promote camping. You unhooking in front of killer does.
That's not what gaslighting means. God people throw around this word a lot, and this is just a way to make some 'side' in these crappy debates sound more irrational and even abusive than they really are.
Let's face it, when survivors unhook in front of the killer, it's because the killer isn't going to leave the area anyway. What's the other option? Just hold M1 again because killers refuse to play the game beyond one chase and patrolling a hook? After the fourth game in a row it becomes extremely boring. You can easily secure a trade even without an insta-down.
-
I mean yeah, Blight counts as a special attack when lethal rushing, why would nurse's blink attacks be an exception? Especially given she's the strongest killer in the game and learning her isn't nearly as hard as people say.
What will it change? Well, the big one would be exposed perks wouldn't work. Is that a big deal? No. Because regular nurses that don't suck will down people as fast as most killers would with the exposed perks anyway.
It may hurt build diversity but there is little to no diversity when facing a Nurse. Either she's good and your options are mind gimmicks at best, or she's bad and you have another clip to your 5 views montage. Also let's face it, build diversity is a meme. You're getting corrupt and at least two extra gen regress perks with most nurses lmao.
-
These suggestions are very reasonable.
Thus people will find any reason to deny them because they're either lazy or extremely spiteful. Also they make too much sense.
I especially like the ability to DC if someone DC's. However the issue is tactical DC's to deny scourge hook or pop plays. A very nasty SWF can just take turns eating the DC penalty, and it'd likely be over before the others are done with the game. Plus a free DC (which I agree with given the state of the game.). Obviously these ideas would need polishing but this is actually very reasonable.
-
Blight is easy to pick up and gets results even without touching his ludicrously high skill ceiling. He's just that well designed. But let's not kid ourselves, most people use busted builds on him (and still somehow lose to my solo games lmfao).
I genuinely adore Blight if the player is very skilled and not using every sweaty thing ever. They tend to steamroll and it's fun for once. I hate the opposite, sweaty Blights that still struggle despite the misery they love inflicting on clearly solo teams.
More Nemmy pls.
-
If tunnelling and camping are so bad, just play SWF with people of similar skill level to you. You're going to steamroll most killers no matter the cheese tactics they use.
This isn't a comment on balance, but a comment on how good killers actually are they ceaselessly use these approaches. Most of them waste two minutes on their first chase and have adopted this 'optimal' strategy because they're just not capable of doing good without it. A well rounded SWF will easily beat this. So if you're looking to have your fun not ruined, do that. Maybe run Meta perks too if you really want the whining killers to know their place.
Just, please, don't whine that they owe you fun. They're clearly not here to have fun either ( the winning = fun argument is often coming off as huge copium ) if they're tunnelling and camping. You shouldn't care about each other's fun unless you actually want to. Some people are skilled enough to, others are just indifferent to the result.

So in a PvP game where 2 sides compete with each other there should exist an easy mode character where no obstacle can limit you?
Just because she's hard to play as doesn't mean she's fair in the slightest. No fighting game or any other competitive PvP game has characters designed like that because it's unfair.
I never said there should be. It's a bad idea that they can't get rid of, and an easy solution for baby forum whiners that keep complaining the game is astronomically survivor-sided. Though then again they'd need to pour some effort into Nurse.
She isn't fair. It's crap design. And people who benefit from it will defend this dreadful thing to the very end. Let them, it's not like you're forced to play her, and you can just let yourself die if you don't want to face her.
-
You should look at Nurse like this:
In games, you grind and overcome some tough challenges to unlock some uniquely difficult mode to test your skills. In Dark Souls you push your skills to get the toughest NG+ cycle where one mistake will kill you over and over. Literally working your way to get the most difficult and satisfying challenge.
Nurse is the opposite. You grind the ######### out of her to unlock DBD's secret very easy mode. Because after really getting a good feel of the 'Nurse game', because she plays a different game than DBD, you essentially have nothing stopping you from breezing through 99.99% of the game. No obstacle can limit you. No enemy skill can truly hamper you. Anywhere, anytime, you can destroy the opposition.
Of course she isn't balanced, that's the whole point of Nurse. Enjoy your very easy mode those that bothered to grind out this secret DBD setting. Nerfing her would probably make her pretty poopy too. Which I wouldn't care about lmao.

going for hooks is asking to skew what this challenge stands for. The game doesnt say you HAVE to 12 hook. It says kill by any means. So I don't think i agree with tru3
Yeah, agreed, I'm questioning the motives here since his narrative on balance would be harmed if he played like the others that did this challenge did. Hell, even Spooks'n'Jukes, a guy that admits to not being very good at killer (I disagree, when he doesn't lean on NOED he actually plays decent), got a very good 3k average by sweating the easy strats which was the point.

Tru3talent did the 30 sec challenge and he play for hook and he average a bit less then 2k i think it was around the 1,56 kill per match. Otz said that if tru3 played a bit more merciless he could have easy get a better ratio and he got unlucky with map too. Ofc he compare that to his personnal experience during the challenge.
The player need to take those stat with a grain of salt because lets be honest both of those guys play this game for a living and they are close to 10k hour so ofc they are going to be good.
Tru's approach defeats the idea of the challenge. It's meant to show that you can easily tip the scales in your favour as killer with some extremely sweaty but easy strategies along with some decent game sense and handling tiles properly. He just played normally with every handicap imaginable. Guy literally got roasted because he couldn't follow the instructions properly.
Survivors can do the exact same by SWF'ing up and pounding gens like psychos, letting their tunnelled/camped friend die as they sweat out gens.
Otz's hours have little to do with it. His game sense is the same with half those hours, and killer players shouldn't use that as an excuse to dismiss the findings. Otherwise they have to admit they have a skill issue (which they don't do lmao).
-
DH isn't being changed because they're keen on making their annoying validation project work (It's just caused frustration) the same way they refuse to turn back on breakable walls because they've invested more than a day on it. DH WILL get changed, but not until they're happy with their validation project. It's used by everyone because it's blatantly overpowered and people play this game to have as much of an advantage over the opposition as possible, something you can't do in most multiplayer games.
Clown's IRI addon was stupid. It needed to be toned down while his other addons got some good attention. They didn't give him anything to compensate which is the real issue. Don't make this about 'babyrage', because you're the one babyraging over a video game right now.
Yeah Nemmy and Twins addons nerfs are just statistics reading without any intelligent interpretation. It's exactly like Object of Obsession until they finally changed it after enough rightful complaining.

Im not a nemesis main (never claimed to be) but i enjoy playing him and a uninfected survivor fills my meter about 40 percent (give or take) and falls just short of tier 2 on 2nd hit.
Any opinion i ever give is based solely on my personal experiences. I dont repeat what i hear or look anything up to prove my point. Soon as im done blazin im a hop in a gm to make sure im remembering right. Hope your right....honestly.
Base Uninfected hit gives 50% in T1. Marvin's Blood kicks that to almost 70%. If an uninfected hit provides around 40% it will give you T2. If you need a reference, Otzdarva's killer streak for Nemesis emphasizes why Marvin's Blood was vital to his build, as it guarantees T2 with only one infection and one hit, thus giving him a very good power early.
That's fine, all opinions are welcome. Just wanted to be sure information was properly spread around.

Memorization isn't skill; you can't compare survivor skill to killer skill. I have gone matches looping the killer across the entire map. This shouldn't be possible in a 4 v1 game.
It is incredibly obtuse to assert that Spirit is still S tier. People dropped her for a reason: she isn't strong anymore. People who aren't willing to learn should not have a say in game balance. Again, what game doesn't want you to invest time into learning and improving? That is a core part of video games and has been since the beginning. So yea, seeing killers get instantly nerfed but survivors getting to keep things like dead hard and god loops is pretty frustrating.
It's only memorization if there's a gap in skill. Either the survivor is more auto-pilot and imitating what they've learned, which leads to an easy down, or they only have to do what they've memorized because the killer's skill is the one lacking. When things are more equalized, skill comes into play more often, and survivor actions do require skill to delay the killer as much as possible.
I mean it's my opinion and the opinion of those I watch and hang out with. It can be your opinion that she isn't. But by no means is it obtuse, and I don't think you understand what that words means by how you're using it here. To me she's S tier, as she has everything she needs to thrive: Mobility, chase power, snowball potential and reliability. Just because survivors have some hints as to what you're doing doesn't suddenly handicap you. It's like saying Blight isn't S tier because you can consistently tell what he's doing, which is true, but the player's skill (and addons sometimes) really determines the outcome here, with the survivor also having a say on the outcome with their own skill and game sense.
The reason why a lot of people dropped her: Same reason they dropped Freddy and Wraith, games aren't guaranteed wins for the most part.
Killers aren't JUST getting nerfed, they also get buffs, while survivors don't always get buffs. I will resonate the sentiment of DH and even CoH, they're terrible perks that do too much right now, but otherwise I feel you're falling in the trap of 'Killers are innocent victims, Survivors are undeserving persecutors'.
@RainehDaze said:

Okay, so on the information available, Survivors can't see Spirit, but will hear any move she makes. Spirit can't see Survivors but can see scratchmarks , and will hear them if they run, or if there are grunts of pain. However, they can slow vault, walk, there's IW, etc. Ergo, the information asymmetry has reversed: Spirit now has less information whilst phasing when Survivors do. And that information is more than precise enough for the majority of difficult loops where you'd want to use a Killer's power anyway.
So what? Uh... it's dumb? "Hey we have a character who relies almost entirely on audio cues. Now we've nerfed her to be audible, should we change the audio perks again so this one perk doesn't negate their main tool entirely? Naaaah."
I didn't say holding W was a problem. People still hold W in a straight line against her and that's dumb. It's free hits which probably helps obfuscate the whole "only one side always gets accurate information" part.
And phasing isn't a counter to looping. Great, it's fast. Know what's faster than going around a big wall at somewhat-faster-than-the-game's-normal-speed? Vaulting it. "normal looping, but faster and you can't see" isn't a counter to it, it's the same dull I know you know I know that people like to claim is somehow fun, because they must also like watching paint dry.
How is it less here? Survivors still make sounds when slow-vaulting, it's just more subtle. IW doesn't hide footsteps (Can bug out) or scratch marks. You still have plenty to work with as Spirit, while survivors just have some vague sound effect that is purposefully unprecise to not give out the Spirit's distance too easily. In the more generous of scenarios, you can say the information is equalized, even though I think it's still in the Spirit's favour when IW is in the picture. When it isn't she still has the odds stacked massively in her favour.
She doesn't ENTIRELY rely on sound cues. The best Spirits use her ability in short bursts to quickly close distances and put survivors in situations they can't win. Understanding survivor movement is also crucial to playing MOST killers, and Spirit benefits from this the most along with Nurse. There's more than one way to play Spirit, with the 'short burst' version I'm seeing more often being one that emphasizes just how strong her phasing speed is. Obviously this is more advanced that what the ex-Freddy mains can muster up.
You're right, holding W mindlessly is always bad against a high mobility killer. It's still sometimes the smartest move if you just want to delay the Spirit, but yes you are correct here.
First off, it's not 'somewhat faster than game's normal speed', she goes at 172% movement speed, which is definitely not marginal. Windows are not a counter to Spirit unless it's something like Haddonfield where she can't do anything against God Windows. Both Blight and Spirit use their speed to counter loops, and they're considered very strong killers (At least Blight is) because they do this well. Blight goes faster, but he's far more telegraphed than Spirit, who is invisible and her phase sound isn't precise enough for people to reliably react to all the time, and even if they do, it doesn't mean the Spirit can't pull something skilful of her own and win the interaction anyway.
But that's the issue, isn't it? No longer are things as free for Spirit. More elaborate tactics may be required to down more skilful survivors, and I feel like that's an issue for some. I still think she's S tier.

Purely holding forward against nurse without any attempt at faking is stupid- most don't know what they're doing.
The "casual game" idea is a black hole of logic. If it's just a casual game, these new players shouldn't mind if they lose since they are only playing for fun. The reality is that they want to win without having to try. Calling the game casual is an excuse to demand killer nerfs. I have never played a game that openly accepts the idea that you shouldn't have to learn to be successful. Only in DBD community.
Call me a hater if you want, but I find almost nothing skillful in survivor gameplay. The whole game is memorizing tiles and learning power specific counters-that's it. I have close to 3000 hours in this game. Throwing down a safe pallet isn't a skill. This is coming from someone who is competent at both roles.
Let me just quote what I said about holding W vs nurse
>"Obviously doing it mindlessly is dumb."
There, no need to add that first sentence of yours, I said it for you already. I also explained why it was reasonable to do so to keep delaying her.
Calling the game casual is calling it for what it is. People play this game too much even though they remain casuals. And it's fine. It doesn't mean they want all killers nerfed, even if crybabies on the survivor side whine about as much as killer crybabies. Some people truly just don't find some killer designs fun, and I agree with some of them. The same is applicable to survivor tools. I've NEVER asked for a killer nerf in my posts here, yet I called this game casual. I did say Spirit's nerf was a good thing, but never once said I asked for it or thought it was done well. Ultimately she's still S tier so I can only assume people who aren't winning with her are just not very good.
I think you're outing yourself- Not as a Hater- but as a very bitter killer player (Not MAIN, just player, to avoid another strawman). Survivor takes skill like it does for killer, but unlike killer, it doesn't need to be re-learned for every killer and merely 'adjusted' depending on the killer they face. Is the skill requirement overall lower? Yes, you're just 1/4 of the team, so the expectations on you should be lower. You can be competent as both, but it doesn't mean you have the right perspective. I'm also good as both, and I'm disagreeing with you.

The game is almost 6 years old and people still run in a straight line against nurse- people don't adapt. You shouldn't be able to react to a killer's power. DBD is a 1v4- the killer should hold the power in a chase. This idea that it needs to be on equal footing is absolute nonsense. You could outplay old spirit by making reads, as good players did. You shouldn't be able to always know what is coming next.
Where in my post did I talk about equal footing? Nowhere, so try again. You're making your own nonsense up.
But to address the notion you're presenting, first off running straight against a Nurse is a viable strategy as keeping distance with her is the best way to delay her. Going for basic jukes only works so much against a very good nurse, which is what I'm assuming is my opponent nowadays. I don't get this critique of holding W against a killer that you literally cannot loop. Obviously doing it mindlessly is dumb.
I then have to ask why you think survivors aren't adapting after 6 years when the likely truth is that a lot of people aren't that experienced at the game. It's a casual fun game, a lot of people won't 'adapt' because this game is not worth any sort of hassle. Those that care do, just don't expect them to be some sort of norm, because it shouldn't be.
As for this 'read' argument. When it came to old spirit, it was a buzzword for 'guessing'. Let's not kid ourselves. One streamer abused that term because they foolishly compare DBD gameplay to another game genre where the premise is actually fully balanced with limited variables (fighting games), which isn't the case for DBD. You were guessing, comp players guessed and tried to bait sometimes, but Spirit was good against the best teams for a reason: She invalidated a lot of their acquired skills.
You should always be able to do SOMETHING as survivor, even if it's just delaying the killer. That SOMETHING should come from the skill you've acquired playing the game. Old Spirit didn't allow that for the most part. Current Spirit does but is very quick to punish for not reacting quickly and being very tactical about where you go.

Marvins blood makes it to where hitting 1 survivor and 1 zombie can tier you up....without it takes 3 hits on uninfected survivors.....hugh difference as getting to tier 2 fast as possible is very important.
Issue is devs thing most used addons need nerfed but there the most used because the rest are useless.......######### duh
Play your own game please.
Wrong, it takes 2 hits on uninfected to get T2 without Marvin's Blood.
Current Marvin's Blood requires: 1 uninfected hit and 1 infected hit/1 zombie hit.
New Marvin's Blood requires: 1 Uninfected hit, and 2 infected hits/2 zombies. In this case you can get a couple of tentacle hits in on your first chase and then finish off a zombie for T2. This nerf really isn't anything spectacular, IMO this addon should be base kit and no other addon should tinker mutation rate anymore.
The eye nerf is absolutely bonkers, completely unnecessary and I echo the resentment here. This is 100% just statistics reading that eerily makes me recall how they addressed Object of Obsession in that one stream. It was absolutely painful to listen to. Yeah, the 'why' is too much effort.

Oh I'm not saying they are abused, I am more just tired of condescending survivor mains spouting delusional bullshit without much understanding as to why people say this stuff in the first place.
And while yes some most are saying COH is broken it doesn't hide the fact that the boon mechanic needed more time to be developed cause of how much of a problem it has caused.
I don't care for getting 3k but it shouldn't fell like " Oh I don't have x perk or they ran x perk" instead of " I sucked and need practice "
Also, the fact that people are still trying to defend certain things while trying to say "x is fine but y isn't " shows both a double standard and how laughable it is to try to justify most decisions nowadays for this game.
In no way can you know they're a delusional survivor-main by their post. Maybe they're just sick of these threads. I kind of am too.
Yes, Boons are an issue and the fact that they weren't addressed is ... Dumb. But, yeah, beyond Boons and bad maps, the game's not that bad for killer. Or rather you can be just as awful to survs as they can be to you.
I don't think perk loadout is all that necessary if you've invested time in a killer and the game as a whole. My go-to for Nemmy, as stated above that I've played him a bit, is BBQ (points) Agitation, Pain Resonance and Lethal Pursuer. Sub-meta overall, get mostly 4k's. My losses are my own fault, and sometimes because of garbage mapping. The latter is pretty painful though. Ultimately, yeah game feels bad sometimes, but it's not THAT bad IMO. You can have a different experience of course.
The hypocrisy in this community is amusing, the us vs. them mentality is beyond juvenile. Which is why I was keen on commenting your post because of the 'survivor main' response. You're better than this. Even if they're a survivor main, doesn't mean their opinion is wrong. The more delusional people are troublesome but it's best to address their arguments over their person. Unless you're baiting or something which I'm sometimes guilty of lol

You don't have to be comp to adapt. Again, this is a total double standard. People say you shouldn't be able to pick up and win (which btw isnt true of spirit) but want to be able to easily win as survivor. seem pretty obvious to me.
I'm going to assume you misunderstood me and didn't just pull some lazy strawman that hardly makes sense. So I'll clarify. Old spirit was adapted to by comp players since she was a popular pick at that level, and even then the counter was extremely unreliable and pretty dull overall. People that weren't comp could also 'adapt', but there's only so much you can do against a killer that telegraphs nothing. It's worse than Nurse, and she downright breaks the game.
Current spirit is easier to adapt to because there's actual feedback from her power when in chase, which EVERY other killer has, and for some reason she got to be the exception until recently. So yeah, people of even casual levels can adapt to her, but it doesn't mean she can't crush most teams. Just because you can sort-of hear her coming doesn't mean you can react.
I don't understand this double-standard argument. Both sides need experience and adapting to get good at facing the opposition. The Artist completely stomped most teams until they realized holding W was the only smart move. Survivors adapt, so do killers. The problem is that most killer players that took on Spirit (with stridor usually) after Freddy's nerf very obviously wanted EZ wins. Like, it wasn't even subtle. They all migrated to Bubba or something.
Survivor escape rate is generally lower than a Killer's 3/4k rate. There's no 'easy win' with survivor unless you're SWF'ing with people of your own skill level.

Go play killer then and understand why it's bullshit now
So I've played killer. Nemesis no less, a killer that gets punished more than many others by DH due to validating over pallet breaks. I don't see it. Game's mostly fine. There's the typical DBD BS, but that honestly doesn't feel any worse than usual beyond CoH that even survivors think is dumb. I've yet to see a single survivor that wasn't baiting defending CoH. They are silent are worst.
Killers aren't abused, get over yourselves. Just because you don't get a 90% 3k rate anymore doesn't mean you're oppressed.

And now the information asymmetry is backwards.
Spirit and her actions are always audibly telegraphed, she has to rely on Survivors moving the wrong way to get information, and IW doing its thing of completely and irrevocably shutting down what should make it easier to find people.
A lot of people still just hold W and run away (for some reason), but that doesn't mean the information asymmetry is any better now.
How is it backwards? They still can't see the spirit, the audible feedback, while helpful, is by no means precise nor can they react to the Spirit's speed if she's actually good and on quite the majority of loops. It's good that they're always telegraphed, because then there's actual gameplay beyond guessing. Every other killer telegraphs their abilities, even the most broken one in the game. The Spirit still has an advantage in 1 v 1 situations.
On IW - So you don't have guaranteed easy downs. So what? She's still comp viable for a reason. Spirit Mains like Skillmantha are still stomping through IW before and after her power change. All that's being said here is that because she isn't given everything for easy wins anymore, people player her less.
You have a counter to hold W. It's called mach-speed phasing. You also have a counter to looping. It's called mach-speed phasing. Also you do need to invest time in her. But she's still S tier.

Funny, survivors never adjusted their mindset when facing her before. Typical lack of understanding in this thread. These nerfs weren’t minor- she is now a glorified wraith lunge in chase, which isn’t a good power.
Uhm, they did, it just sucked. Comp players adapted really hard to her and even then it was hardly engaging gameplay. There's a reason why she competed closely to the killer that literally ignores all the rules in the game. Aspects of her were busted and made for an inordinate amount of information asymmetry, even compared to Nurse who at least telegraphed her busted power. Don't make this a 'but survivors' thing, it's about why Spirit isn't as chosen. And the inability to adapt to change is one of them. But most of it is because the Freddy Mains of old moved onto her for EZ wins. Now it's Bubba, probably. Maybe Blight too.

All I know is that if I bother the right people enough times, BHVR will potentially react to my terrible behaviour (hehe) and acknowledge my misdeeds with a blanket punishment to all that enjoy the tools I use for nefarious purposes. I'll likely not get banned, because I got loads of cheap or free copies of the game and I'll continue to be a dreadful troll with the keen purpose of getting more content removed because I can and it annoys people on so many different levels.
Note, I'm not actually doing this, but this is exactly what trolls who do this ######### think. This isn't a step to stop racism, just a lazy fix that's about as advanced as changing values on a problematic addon or perk rather than addressing the idea behind it. Expect trolls to be emboldened by this, not that much was stopping them to begin with.

My only real issue with Noed is that it's used by killers that are often completely lost without it. It's absolutely dreadful to have the most boring game in existence and then have it be cranked up to 11 at the end with most of the team just wanting to leave because the guy's obviously going to camp and the map sucks for totem hunting.
I honestly like NOED on killers that have more dedicated endgame builds, it feels like a whole different game. The gen part was the START, now the real game begins.
But 95% of the time NOED gamers have like two slowdowns, something like BBQ or an information perk, maybe a third slowdown, and NOED is just the saviour as they expect to lose most games (Which is a funny notion). Nothing interesting here. They had a loadout that was good and still needed to get value out of NOED. Lame. The worst part is these types also tunnel a lot and only confirm the 'need for noed' by being unable to even kill the tunnelled until gens are done.

So basically BHVR, you're telling racist trolls that if they bother enough important people with racist stuff they'll do no matter the cosmetic or killer, and probably find ways to make other cosmetics seem racist, you'll notice them and take action. This is a troll's dream. What cosmetic can they possibly get booted off next just for the sake of it and to annoy as many people as possible?
OP's right, this was not the way to go. BAN these racists. Stop taking away stuff from people who enjoy the content they've earned. You're punishing the whole class because two idiots are bothering your favourites (verified/streamers). They'll just find another way to be racist. It's really not that hard to do online.
