You're right, but you know what's sad? That those who have nothing to do with it also have to suffer by losing deserving skins because of some racists. Yes, I know you are compensated with 6000 shards.... but it's still sad :(

The trolls have won, they got the big company to remove dumb, harmless skins because of god awful antics. They'll find the next best thing to be racist with knowing they can incite very drastic reactions with the game developers and the community with no considerable effort. Ez 6k shards for me though, I never even unlocked all the masks.

  • Yeah this is pretty common sense. Survivor lobbies are very slow in the evening on EU servers, since most people with lives have time to play around that time (Work/School finished). Meanwhile, during the day, the average active person will be working or studying, which usually leaves survivor players that will probably be playing this game far more obsessively, given they likely play this game more on the regular with limited responsibilities. People who have more unusual schedules can also play at this time, but I think they're rarer than those that just play video games a whole lot.

its not just that he is saying get on his level. he is effectively claiming that he is #1 killer player in the entire world indirectly. his video is a mockery to every other killer that loses with 4 perks and add-ons. Many of killers that I face in soloq are like getting 1-3 hooks with like 1 kill or 0 kill. He is also mocking survivors in humiliation in saying that they can't beat him.

    Massive brainwashing video.

What are you talking about? He's just sharing his findings. And, yeah, he's better than most killer players. Especially the forum whiners. But still, his point is valid. Perhaps not as valid when he's playing no perks, but when you're in the mindset of sweating beyond reason with the most stacked build on an already stacked killer and employing the sweatiest strats possible, the only one to blame for your loss is you. There is no variance caused by RNG in his stats regarding the full-sweat builds (Well, with the sample he has anyway), which means no survivor team was able to best him, and most coming extremely short on gens.

Also, some people talk about the quality of survivors he's facing. It's insane that it has to be articulated again as if common sense is a novel concept in this forum. Otz plays at peak hours, when most people play, so the variety he gets will inevitably be more wild than TrueTalent's batch as he played midday, when most people are at work and those playing are usually people that spend a lot of time on video games. It doesn't make Otz's stats any less valuable, because ultimately most people will be playing at the same hours he is with a similar pool of survivors and skill-range despite MMR.

  • Decent bait, but really nothing great.

Remember those map reworks we are getting as part of the "Realm Beyond"?....Still waiting.

People would say that they've done their job with giving 'new coats of paint' to some maps with minor tweaks, such as adding walls and moving some tiles here and there.

But then they downright overhauled Ormond (Absolutely warranted even if it's still a dumb map) and The Game (Which is the most incompetently made map since Haddonfield). This weird pick and choose approach makes no sense and breaks any excuse they could have as to why they didn't bother overhauling some terrible maps and giving some focus on halfway decent balance.

Some other maps like Thompson House got a slightly bigger change than those that were mostly aesthetic and I don't know why. Cowshed is a million times worse and only a couple of walls were added, which do nothing to stop the overall issues of the map.

Wasted labour hours IMO, they may 'look' better, which isn't much given early maps looks pretty low-tier due to their initial limitations, but many of these maps play WORSE. Some shacks are downright horrible with collision. Like, what?

  • Imagine thinking they know how to balance maps. Lol. Just hope they fix CoH and that'll already be pretty substantial.

  • They've added back some God windows but with breakable walls. The update barely fixed anything other than Ormond, which is still way too big and with the most awful collision ever.

There won't be any map update because there isn't a good understanding of what it is they need to do.

  • Blight needs an Addon pass. Maybe punish botched rushes a little more, either with a SLIGHTLY larger cd or power recovery being a bit heavier the more the tokens are used, because right now even as I play him, I barely feel punished for liberally using the power. His flicks should really be revised too, especially with speed addons (hopefully they get a pass). Exploits constantly found each patch aside, he can still do dumb flicks that make his power far more generous than people think. PLEASE don't nerf his base kit, just make him less abusable. Most turds just use his cheese factors and it's boring.

Artist doesn't so much need a nerf as she may need some revisions. She's a solid top A tier. I LOVE how she can skillshot people anywhere. I think this needs to stay. What I hate is that there's minimal gameplay in loops. This is terrible. I would rather they weaken her anti-loop but allow for more skillshot opportunities. Maybe a faster CD or a change to how crows are repelled to give more chance for the Artist's skill to shine without oppressing every survivor into mindlessly holding W and acting like total bafoons.

  • You don't put yourself in such a bad situation. That's what you do. Can't expect to have easy downs served to you when you had a whole 5 gen Game with a free Corrupt Intervention. Weigh your losses and make them screw up the unhook. Or don't. Thirsting for that one kill is extremely lame. Kill people before that.

  • The biggest, recurring element here is mapping, and it's clear this game's biggest gameplay weakness is maps. Gen speeds wouldn't be whined about nearly as much if Gens weren't miles apart and impossible to pressure.

Spawns are also random garbage much like scourge hook spawns. There needs to be INTELLIGENT RNG here, yet it feels like everything is random with limited thought behind it.

Actually RNG is another problem. I like that maps change all the time. But I hate that a Rotten fields gets 3 Long wall Jungle Gyms but Shelter Woods gets 3 LT walls. It's terrible.

Dead Hard. Just a busted perk that does too much for just 1 survivor perk.

Absurd Killer addons that are not addressed (Blight).

    SOUNDS!!!!!!!!! They barely WORK.

  • @BenihimeWrath said:

Should be baseline, the only difference in the Hex and normal gameplay is that the Hex does it automatically and a generator doesn't need to be damaged.

Corrupt becomes a 'slow start' mechanic that prevents survivors from getting 3 free gens while a killer is still looking around.

Higher regression allows for more back and forth between killer and survivor, gen speeds no longer a problem anymore and they weren't made just flat out longer for more boring M1 gameplay. And killers aren't forced to run 4 regression/gen defense perks to do anything worthwhile.

    @Impartiality said:

DS and BT should be basekit so survivors aren’t forced to run anti tunnelling and camping perks

Agree with both of you, maybe this change could reconcile killers and survivors even if so slightly.

    @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2707080#Comment_2707080

What's your plan to stop basekit DS and BT from being a guaranteed escape out the gate during the end game?

You've basically lost at this point and indeed tunnelled to try and secure a kill. The unhooker is also incapable of having DS if they unhook so you should've targeted that instead.

  • @BenihimeWrath said:

Please make survivors stop genrushing, corrupt intervention and deadlock should be baseline.

Unironically I would agree to basekit corrupt until they're confident in their map design. They're clearly not. Deadlock not so much, it's the camper's choice perk.

Camping sucks. Those that camp have sucked one way or another, even if it's unfair to them, but you gotta deal with it. If you're tired of it, SWF up with people that equal your skill. Killers in MMR can't keep up if everyone pulls their weight and does gens while one is doing a decent chase. Maybe one will get camped but the killer will probably write an angry post here while you keep queuing up for more fun. No point in stopping camping altogether. Only SOME situations and killers might need some revisions but nothing drastic.

  • @Firellius said:

But as soon as True catches on to that strat, he catches one off guard, picks them up while having his camera clip through a wall, and he still got blinded.

    That smells more like hacking.

Yeah it could be some sort of exploit. In any case these guys are likely petty enough to go as far as actual cheating. Absolutely pathetic. I enjoy SWF's that mess around without sweating, gens rarely got done and loads of flashy fun happens. These days, it's no longer memes and just malicious pushing around with mega sweat on the side. I don't understand these losers.

  • I've seen the video, and it's painful. These people are extremely sad individuals and probably cheating to some degree. I wouldn't put such petty behaviour above these people who likely have way too many hours in this game and need to make everyone as miserable as them.

That said, Legion is a garbage killer and is no example of 'survivor sided' situations. Tru had no power to work with.

I've played with a trio that did this to a Nemesis (I was solo), this does seem like a map of choice for these sorts of people and they bullied the hell out of the Nemmy. I just wanted out of the game and did the gens and left. But this is some big meme many people are catching on and may even cheat to an extent thanks to the free game.

I think it's important to remember that this isn't the norm. This isn't even the strong SWF norm. This is a very nasty bully squad that would do anything to ######### on killers weaker than them. Tru is by no means bad, but his killer was awful and the perks aren't great overall. He had no chance with people that have all the same hours as him all working together to mess with him in a map they chose. Do not portray typical games or even the average SWF as anything close to this. You probably stomp the majority of them and feel very, VERY good about yourself until 1 out of 10 games you feel bad because they were better than you. These bully squads are 1 in 100.

A point on survivor queues: Why is it so hard for forum dwellers to grasp the simple concept that queues are dependent on time? With exceptions to specific events or changes, there are hours where killer queues are faster, and hours where survivor queues are faster. This mindset that survivor queues are so slow because killers are mega victims (they are not, stop it) is silly. More common sense would probably improve one's odds in winning games as killer too.

Anyway, no one reasonable is arguing that CoH is fine btw. Only the most deluded of actual survivor mains say this and they likely fully admit of their malicious intent to their peers. There are some loops that are too strong, none of them are in Dead Dawg Saloon. They're mostly annoying and boring to deal with. I agree to ######### macro spams though, they're so loud and annoying.

I’m assuming your mmr is either EXTREMELY low or your trolling like the other guy. I’m leaning towards the Latter because the mental gymnastics you were performing in these “points” made 0 sense. I’ll address them quickly then move on from this thread.

-Starting off with a red pool isn’t a game changer. It’s a gamble if you will even get value out of it depending on its spawn and if you get stunned, your done.

-So you are trying to say Add ons are needed to make this killer good????? Lmao yikes. Shot yourself in the foot on this one.

-You don’t get a free NOED. That isn’t NOED. As I’ve stated previously tho the reading comprehension skills may be lacking, the survivors can cleanse away from the hooked survivor and exit gates forcing her to either walk across the map or camp while the other survs get the save and leave with more than likely a 4 man. Another horrendous point.

-What tracking? She has 0 tracking. Legion does circles around her tracking wise. The only tracking she has is an IRI add on. Not to mention she has NO map mobility what-so-ever unlike Legion. She doesn’t “nullify” anything. The mental gymnastics you are performing are getting even worse.

In what possible universe is Plague better than Legion? She’s a D tier killer at BEST. As I said I’m pretty sure your trolling but I wanted to address just in case any naive people actually think you were in any way correct. I’d suggest raising your mmr and gaining more game knowledge. Moving on.

So you're pulling a "No u" on the fact that I called out your bait and now calling my post bait. Your wit clearly dwarfs anything I can dish out, truly. The only jab I had toward your skill is your knowledge of Plague, which the only explanation is either you're terrible at her or don't play her (ignorance). Both reasonable when people have such low opinions on killers widely considered strong by good players. You have nothing to work on regarding my skill beyond maybe pulling a second "No u" regarding Legion. Which you wouldn't be half wrong, I don't have as much experience with them. Mostly because they don't need much to get good with them, unlike Plague.

-Yeah no, you're not going to get pallet stunned as Plague with red unless it's your first games. Next.

-No, I did not say that. You are lying if you are portraying my argument in such a manner. I said addons only further cover this weakness your emphasized on your post, but it is already covered anyway by default.

-The scenario you present is an endgame one. What about when they cleanse when there are still 4 gens left? Sure, cleansing at the edge of the map is a good strat. But now she has at least 2 red pukes. More than enough to steamroll a game if she has pressure. The cost of cleansing is obvious and refutes your argument of 'If survivors don't cleanse ...' well if they don't, unhooks are difficult. If they do, they risk a very, VERY dangerous red puke.

-Tracking can be: Auditory via sick noises countering iron will entirely. Visual by the green 'air' they leave around, a keen observer can see it in the air briefly. Blood trails are permanent if they don't cleanse, making stuff like shadowstep useless. She has an addon that allows to see auras ANYWHERE when they puke (Sure it's an addon, but in that department too, she outshines legion so hard). Infecting items allows you to also determine if survivors interacted with an object, such as a generator or an exit gate which can be used to determine where survivors are.

Also Legion's Mobility is mediocre. I will say they do have more than Plague does. But that's it. That's all they have over her. That and maybe light tracking they can barely put into use since they won't be downing good survivors often.

100% Bait with that 'raise your MMR' line. But you're blatantly misinforming people in the process (especially in the tracking part), so I'm definitely going to correct you despite my better judgement.

I said Plague is worse than Legion and that Ghost face and death slinger are better than Legion. Re-read. But anyways Plague is a bad killer yes, and Death slinger and Ghost face while also not the best are good.

You must be baiting, nobody actually thinks Plague is anywhere near bad. You CAN make a case for average, but most would disagree.

My theory is either you've never played Plague or are like all the people that are saying Artist sucks right now: You're very bad with her.

You may also be ignorant of her qualities. I'll name some:

-You start with one pool of red puke by default, which means whether they cleanse or not you have the potential to sweep if they're all sick in one wave.

-Addons allow you to have 3 red pukes by default.

-Have a free NOED on everyone which means unless they cleanse they can't safely unhook and can be easily intercepted for a swift snowball. Legion cannot do this as they can just heal and go save without consequence.

-As mentioned by someone else, No stun, no crappy cooldown, far superior tracking, downing power with insta-down in the open and red puke anywhere else, nullifies a wide range of perks and items.

In what possible universe is Plague worse than Legion? Plague is better than probably 3/4 of the roster right now. I personally think you're baiting but I'm sure some naive people will believe it, so my time probably isn't entirely wasted.

  • They do not grasp these notions too well, so no.

Killer is not easy. These streamers who have "chill" killer streams are either insanely low MMR or they're insanely lucky. Maybe if you're a genius who knows exactly what each survivor is doing at any moment, you'd come close to that. But I know what I see. Usually, gen speed trumps quick downs. It doesn't matter how good you are as killer if the survivors are efficient. So I reiterate, people who claim killer is easy are either low MMR, lucky, or they're lying.

It's not hard either. At least, not to me. Maybe it is difficult to you, maybe it's extremely easy to others. If you want to say it's harder than survivor, I'd agree. Is it harder compared to many other things in video games that are considered challenging? Absolutely not. But again, subjective, I have my own standards. You have yours.

So wait, you're telling me these career streamers that consistently 4k with a variety of killers have low MMR or are consistently lucky? Otherwise I don't know what you mean by 'chill' killer streams. In any case, people that are good at the game are pretty consistent with killers they're good with. So, given their evident lack of losses, this only leave: Lucky or lies. I think it's silly to assume they're constantly lucky. And they can't be lying because we see them live.

I will say your logic isn't wrong that gens fly. But snowballing is also a thing. It's also what allows most of these 'streamers' to win most matches. They get a down, and it snowballs from there. If you can't get momentum, then stack slowdowns I guess.

  • @Guest1567432 said:

People actually think there will be a killer rework(s) in this mid chapter? seriously.

They've announced they were working on Legion and Ghostface for the next mid-chapter. So yeah. Now, a total rework? Maybe not. But some part certainly will be to make them actually functional. Right know they're both pitiful.

  • Very pessimistic take given Plague got a sizeable QoL buff that makes her an actual threat, especially with the CoH meta and hold W being weaker vs her now that the CD is manageable. Same for Trapper, even if he isn't great, his buffs were considerable.

I think GF will forever be a problematic killer unless they actually overhaul him, which is definitely a possibility since they've done this before with Freddy. And while GF isn't as bad as old Freddy, he is overall inconsistent and just falls off in how the game's played.

No idea on Legion, but they have to royally screw up for them to go anywhere but up. I have a strangely good feeling.

CoH will get nerfed, everyone, including survivors, are bringing up how dumb this perk is. I think the boon ranges will also get slapped a little.

Dead Hard won't be changed for a while, unfortunately. I think it's still too difficult for the development team to grasp its issues and find a suitable change to top it off.

I feel like some survivors perks are going to be re-visited as they said they wanted to work more on survivor stuff. Useless perks like Sole Survivor would maybe get an entirely new effect as to complete the rework series on all of Laurie's perks. Which they definitely needed.

Artist might get a light nerf, or this might be for the next full chapter, unsure. I think it might be a little early despite complaints.

Potential map rework, they seriously can't leave some realms untouched still. Especially since the remaining ones are arguably the worst overall maps that aren't very recent (Swamp, Red Forest, Haddonfield).

Announcement on new Prestige features or working on reducing the grind. It's been talked about by devs and others associated with BHVR for a bit and if we don't get a change, we may at least get some information this patch.

The last mid-patch was done great, so I'm a little more optimistic with the work put in there.

I've heard too many "I 4k easily with base Clown every game" people, which is unbelievable. I shouldn't have even responded.

Why not? Streamers are capable of doing this. And while yes they do it for a living, people need to realize DBD isn't some super hard game. Anyone with the time to invest in it, especially on ONE killer which isn't even that big of a time sink, can consistently 4k with even trash tier stuff. I would say since MMR the consistency is more questionable, but with over 2k hours, I think a lot of killer players have learned to manage a game even when the other side is a quite sweaty.

Speaking of sweaty, I just associate it with 'tryhard'. Blights that bring Alchemist + Crow with a full slowdown lineup. All the while slugging half the team that's obviously solo. They're generally people who have a very limited ability to grasp the temperature of a room and are just out to show everybody how good they are. That would be fine in an actually competitive game. On DBD it's borderline cringy. Especially if they get a 1k at best despite the ordeal.

  • @PigMainBigBrain said:

You're crutching it too hard and not paying attention to the initial load of each map. All the spawns are pretty much the same. Use it to learn those spawns, but don't rely on it after you've learned them.

Completely disagree. It allows you to plan out your initial strike thanks to map knowledge. They're split into two duos? Corral the survivor toward the other duo. This is especially useful with killers like Nemesis that need survivor interaction to work, and fast. You plan out how you can quickly gain momentum without wasting a second. In the meantime, spawns are as random as ever, with survivors sometimes spawning far too close too you, completely spread out or even in duos that aren't even in places that make too much sense. All the while they play immersed to make the early game even SLOWER. I love this perk, because I instantly get momentum and a gameplan I otherwise may not have as consistently.

I don't understand the point of healthy grabs. If the survivor is injured you can just down them no need for a grab. The grab is shotty anyhow but a good killer is taking you down anyhow even if no grab. Teamwork and BT gets passed a camping killer unless it's bubba.

Yeah fully agree. I personally think healthy grabs on gens, sabos, lockers are fine since they punish greed/stupidity.

  • @chargernick85 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2702211#Comment_2702211

Camping seems to be on the rise. Well I rarely see it but it's reported on here a lot. The issue is not all killers camp but could be at hook anyhow. I hook and go to gens but on the way see a survivor or there tracks what should I do? ignore them and let them go unhook? regardless of you answer killers should go and interrupt the action. Whether it's a hit on unhooker, grab on unhooker there is pressure you can apply. not to mention endgame where the killers best bet is to stay by hook and you want them to have no defense in that situation?

I mean if you're right on the survivor, you should ensure a trade in this case. I don't think it's fair that a healthy survivor can be interrupted when a killer is, most of the time, camping. I fully agree with the situation you've described as it happens to me a lot, and in this case a trade is assured. Why should a grab be allowed? Sure it may reward some of us that punish pepega unhookers that do it mid-chase, but most of the time let's face it, it's a camper that'll benefit from it. The less we reward camping, the better. Maybe people will play the game more.

  • First point: If you only use one crow to swarm them, you have enough time to place three crows and fire before they repel them, WITHOUT addons. This rewards you for using only one crow for the first shot, which does require varying degrees of skill.

Second point: They cannot do any other actions when repelling, which means if they have to vault or drop a pallet, the timer resets. This is more than enough of a risk. If they were slowed down too, I would almost never lose with the Artist, because loops don't work against her and holding W, as much as I DESPISE that strat, is the only viable strategy to waste her time without being inevitably obliterated.

Third point: You can get consistent crossmaps with the approach I've recommended above. However you may need the recharge and repel delay addons to be more consistent. The thing is: 99% of survivors on a generator will have a delay before repelling, because the same key is bound to working on the generator/healing, and the game pulls them to the gen instead or repelling, thus delaying. You also get to see the aura of where they are going and can plan a shotgun attack. It won't always work, but I actually find this far more consistent than Huntress crossmaps. Also it's always good information as the killer instinct can also tell you if there are others by the gen.

The best way to use her power is to anticipate where survivors will go and essentially skillshot them, often with the shotgun approach, but some situations you can go risky. There is also the gargantuan zoning power she has, which leads to her landing more M1's than crow hits a lot of the time, since survivors know she destroys loops like nobody's business.

Elevation is rough for her, I agree. But then again, she's extremely powerful anywhere that doesn't have much elevation, so I'm fine with her having some extra weaknesses. I definitely don't like it, but once you learn to zone with her, it's far more manageable. There are also cool strats to make her crows 'lift off' with proper dire crow placement I actually like.

I really like playing this killer, she's fun and cute.

  • I'm fine with other interruptions immediately resulting in a grab, because they involve a large amount of player unawareness that warrants great punishment. And it helps stealth killers quite a bit.

Unhook grabs are only rewarding camping and shoddy connection. Again I'm wondering why people feverishly defend this when all it does is reward the most unskilled play in the game: Facecamping. If survivors get a 'free' unhook while you're right there without a grab, then I do think no amount of killer buff can help you.

To balance out this fix, you can maybe not make the chase music so horribly loud to allow auditory cues to help killers in chase. Just an idea since people will want something to compensate their weakened camping super-strats.

  • So let me get this straight. People whine about certain things and for reason you perceive as dumb. But your reasons for whining are fine and holy, right?

Your opinion (Bad) vs My opinion (Good), amirite? I'm definitely smooth brained for disagreeing and pointing out how all of this is.

Here's a hot take: Killers whine far more in this forum than survivors, because they feel like victims in a 4 v 1. It doesn't help that killer demands more skill and game knowledge than survivor, and most people would rather whine than admit they're not as good as they think they are. It's just hilarious that I can get the same results as 4 slowdown double mega addon sweaty Blight with just no-addon Nemesis with the scourge hook as my only slowdown. And no, it's not because the survivors are all potatoes, it's because this game isn't as hard or imbalanced as people pretend it is to cope.

  • Queues are the exact same they were last year. I think people don't realize that the time they're playing at matters a lot.

The times I have more available to me right now make killer queues particularly long. Have survivors just given up? Are people all flocking to killer? No, it's probably because most people play survivor and they all play at certain hours after work/school. This hasn't changed for at least a year and a half, with only variations being during events or the MMR implementation which mellowed out after a couple of weeks.

As of writing my survivor queues are exactly 5 seconds, and this'll last for 9 hours until killer queues become 5 seconds. Then about the same amount of time until very early in the morning where I honestly have little experience in but I know it shifts again around there.

Also survivors don't constant get buffs while killers are in the dirt. That's just wilfully neglecting the buffs killer gets and the balance changes done that help. And at this point I'm thinking it's done on purpose for questionable intentions. The last mid-chapter patch, while it did introduce the mess that is CoH, also gave a very fair balancing of killers. Except Deathslinger. That was awful. But everyone admits this, even the fabled 'survivor-mains'.

  • Queues are the exact same as they were last year for me in my region. Same schedule, which allows me to play killer and survivor at the right hours. I feel like those that complain about queues are people that can't play at certain hours. Likely the ones where most people are playing. There are SO MANY killer players during the day and likely less survivors. But I rarely get doubles as killers unless it's extremely late at night.

  • Nemesis had a lot of potential to be something truly unique. He's a constantly mutating super-monster. But we just get a single growing hentai and a couple of Walmart shoppers.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

She does need buffed though. In the form of her rediculous bugs that have been in the game for YEARS need to be fixed.

No more ######### blink bugs. No more bullshit auto aim. No more having a blnk go 2 feet because you caught some weird part of the map. No ######### falling through the floor while using Campbell's last breathe

Bug fixes I agree but that's not a buff. That's just fixing her issues. Which IMO shouldn't be the biggest priority anyway given she stomps hard despite them. I feel like the bugs are the BS you gotta accept for the Easy Mode you've unlocked through grinding this clunky killer to some degree of mastery.

100% correct. Nurse is at an abysmal 42.98% kill rate and Pig has a 57.76% kill rate. Myers is at a 56.20% kill rate so he's obviously overperforming. Clown has a 50.02% kill rate but that's only I because I play him at times and I single-handedly lowered the kill rate by 10%. He's totally OP.

Buff Nurse. Nerf Pig, Clown and Myers.

Spoiler: For those that aren't sure this is a satirical post. I haven't read the entire thread but the op is satirizing the dev's kill rate data being used for balancing decisions.

I think some people genuinely believe she needs a buff. But then again that surprises no one here.

  • I just get bored of the game sometimes and I come back. Nothing really pushes me away because all of it has been adaptable. The biggest turn off for me was the pallet bug earlier this year, I really hated that on both sides.

If one thing that makes me really annoyed and edges me toward quitting it would have to be how busted DH is when used right, and I get a lot of those. It's shamelessly overpowered and survivors abuse it to the fullest. I see it in the majority of builds too.

  • Makes camping an area more difficult the more you hook people in it. Forces the killer to be more risky in hooking the next survivor if they want to protect their territory. Doesn't mean it's a good system given how random hooks can be.

  • Validation is here to stay, so they could at least make it functional for killers like Nemesis. Being robbed of a hit AND pallet break when your tentacle is dead centre on both is absolutely ludicrous, unfair and just exacerbates dead hard's issues even further, and it's the perk with probably the most issues.

    @Impartiality said:

It’s funny how many killer mains complain about validation without even understanding how it works. This is fair as it gets because the server decides if the hit counts or not, it’s no longer on the killer side. Survivors have been dealing with this ######### for every single hit in the game since it started

Another 'mains' argument as if people who play both sides or even survivor side can't grasp how stupid it is. At the very least something should be done when it affects gameplay like with Nemesis or some killer powers being weirdly cancelled. The animations should also be looked into since it really is frustrating.

  • If I'm running Lethal Pursuer, I take it as me getting immense value out of it and adequate punishment for the AFK. It's harsh, but I also think it's fair given the point of this perk is to immediately get the ball rolling and I'll claim my first hook, especially if I have Pain Resonance.

Without Lethal I would usually down the survivor and leave it at that. Gives me pressure but doesn't fast-track people to death.

My ethics do kind of waver depending on how spawns happen however. If I saw nobody around this person I assume they're all spread out, so I may as well reap the benefits of this stroke of luck since the game is keen on screwing me anyway.

  • It flabbergasts me that after five years of development, The Game is the fruit of their labours. It's outrageously bad. Almost all pallets are safe or even God pallets depending on the killer. In no world is this map balanced, because in no normal game will a team run out of pallets. Worse than Cowshed being untouched.

  • Just give a 6 second i-frame window to the unhooked to Bubba's chainsaw, and if a second saw hits, it procs BT if applied (since he can catch up after an initial hit). Only on his saw, though, as a botched unhook will still penalize the survivors if he can just M1.

This isn't a nerf so much as a fix to Bubba's bad gimmick that isn't even applicable to those who actually play him normally. You'll still instadown the unhooker. Leave him untouched otherwise.

I don't really need a noed rework. I think noed is fine, as long as solo q gets a buff to compensate against it. I'm fine with killers being strong and having strong perks. I'm all for buffing bad killer, as long as solo q also gets a buff.

Yeah I can get behind this. The 'do bones' meme is tired and countering NOED isn't the issue so much as handling it when it happens as a soloQ gamer. So a buff to SoloQ would probably be the way to go. Let the stinky killers cling to the NOED hope.

I'm sorry, but logic is not allowed.

People always complain about SWF, but when a perk does nothing to SWF and only punishes Solo they think it's fine. Then they wonder why people would rather play SWF instead of solo...

Massive amounts of copium for killers that somehow consistently struggle against solos of all things. Which I'm fine with, NOED allows these subpar killers to play without fear and make getting challenges easier.

But you are correct. It's all about getting an edge over the other side and feeling righteous about it. NOED, Dead Hard, more BS, so long as one side gets to spite the other, those feeling left out will gladly use these weapons to lash out.

The rework idea isn't good. As a standalone perk or even basekit, sure! NOED reworked would likely need it to be removed entirely. And even then I wouldn't agree with it, because some amusing endgame builds exist with it that reward people that don't actually suck.

  • The moment someone takes the burden of messing with all her traps while being semi-competent at looping, she's done. If your team can do gens, the Hag loses. The exception is, of course, the extremely rare, old-gen Shiny Pokémon levels of rarity Hag like Michi. And even then I feel like if I have a decent briefing with my SWF (if I'm in a SWF, the single harasser idea works in solo too) then I think we have a big chance of winning.

  • Some impact the game far too much. DH and Sprint Burst in particular. Especially the former. It's just far too much power in ONE perk even if it has a decent cooldown. I'm uncertain how to balance them because, should we eliminate DH, I don't think a general nerf would be fine. Smash Hit and even Head On are by no means that impactful.

Exhaustion should probably aim to be as good as Lithe is. Somewhat contextual but overall good. SB and DH are just stupidly free with wayyyyy too many returns.

Otz has like 5k+ hours and is playing full-on tryhard with best in slot everything, vs randoms and casuals with random perks and items. Of course he’s going to win a lot. Just as any survivor streamer can escape over and over under the same conditions.

If the game is not survivor sided, why are only 3 of 26 killers able to compete in comp? Just bad luck?

Because comp =/= Public matches. Also they're not what the whiny and polarising forum spammers cry about. Comp is dumb and this game was never, nor will it ever be, made for any sort of competitive scene.

You are not facing comp players. You are facing the same casual turds Otz is stomping with every killer. The only variable is that most people are absolute scrubs next to Otz. Which is fair, he does this for a living and he's talented in mastering games and entering rigorous mindsets to achieve greatness in games he loves (Dark Souls for example). But ultimately he's proving that with skill, the 'sided' arguments just stem from people's shortcomings and putting the fault on the other side.

Though I won't deny the game's design is incredibly flawed.

  • You don't have to be very skilled in survivor to be useful. Holding M1 and W can give so much to a team. So basically the skill floor for survivor is so absurdly low that it feels like they require no skill. It's obviously not true. But one can't say it demands a whole lot of it.

Come to think of it, nothing in DBD really does. It's why so many people are probably drawn to it. It's easy to get into. Nurse mains cope more she's not that hard.

  • People have said this a few times, but his skill floor is pretty low, especially after his height fix. Just zoom around the map, bump and smack. A lot of times it's all you need. Skill ceiling is extremely high, relative to DBD of course. DBD being anything but hard should put Blight as comfortably feasible with enough dedication but still a challenge.

He is not OP. But he is a ridiculously strong pub-stomper even in the hands of below-average killer players due to perks and map presence. He's a killer that feels like he's balanced for SWF over solo, which by itself isn't an issue, but makes the by far weakest 'side' of this game feel terrible if it's a sweaty Blight. And most of them are.

His flicks are also far more generous than some let on and it's really not that hard to land a hit in a tricky area without using some bizarre tech or whatever exploits people keep finding. You can be off the mark and still do some whacky flick to punish a survivor that read you perfectly. I would suppose that's what makes him so 'viable' but it does get on people's nerves given how intense and challenging he is to deal with only to be smacked down anyway when you did well. Still a greatly designed killer, I'm just kind of bored of him because it's just constant sweat. Rather Blight than Nurse.

  • That's it, we've reached Karen-levels of whining in video games. T-Bagging should now be banned. If any game community would usher in this grand shift, it'd be DBD's immature one where toxicity is somehow far more special here than any other game (when it really isn't). There's only one thing more childish than low-IQ turds tbagging and that's people actually being bothered by it beyond 1 minute salt. Grow up, this game is rated 18+.

So, if Killers never face-camped/tunneled off hook, would you ever see Decisive Strike played? No you wouldn't.

Those 3 perks are used because they are pretty much the only counter to slugging, face-camping and tunneling off hook.

So yes, Survivors resort to DS, BT and UB because of Killer tactics.

The only substance to your argument is an ad hominem attack.

What are you talking about? That's exactly what I said. Survivors resorting to tactics because of the behaviour of killers, and vice versa, there is no origin point here. I don't understand what your issue is.

Ad Hominem? Who exactly am I targeting? I'm calling people who play DBD in a general sense petty and desperate for a W, which would include me in it. It's not an Ad Hominem, it's a gross generality born of an observation from all the excessive sweat coming from so many people just on this forum. In no way do I target the poster beyond just re-iterating their low-effort reply with my own. Way to use a cool buzzword though.

Killers resort to those tactics because of survivors

Survivors resort to [Insert generic complained about strategy/perk choice] because of killers. Sounds like everyone is massively petty and desperate for a W in this game.

I mean I'm not great but I definitely wouldn't say I suck.I've gotten a decent amount of 3-4k with her mostly with the shotgun addons but outside of that its just w with no counter. Her kit is set for pure anti loop and some info which sucks because she falls into the can't loop just w which isn't fun for both sides imo.

I mean, I believe you, but if she sucks, 90% of the cast does too. They don't, a few killers do but the majority are at least average. It's just too easy for piss poor survivors to hold M1 and W which skews absolutely everything.

I think the main issue is just ludicrous levels of incompetence when it comes to map design. They could literally just shrink the biggest ones and a good chunk of the issues would be fixed, especially with hold W. But they won't. Not for a long time. They had a chance last year and they've made some maps WORSE (The Game) and pump out yet another horrid map (Crow map). The Artist doesn't suck, the environment she's in is blatantly neglected.
