Hitboxes and tunneling are 2 big problems for the game, thats it.
A newbie getting hitted by a wifi hit and tunneled everygame will left the game as soon as possible.
Ds should be a default perk usable 2times and the timer should stop when slugged or in a locker
Oh, okay, thanks for your input. Do you play survivor by chance? LAWL

Apparently you can't turn and hit with your dash but you can definitely turn 90 while dashing like in the example. PC btw
That was not a 90 degree turn at all, he had an angle on you, that was a short straight line demon dash to your back.

Almost all developers have a deadline to reach, and even if there are problems they'll seldom delay the release of new content.
They didn't have time to REMOVE it, but they had time to NERF it? This is not what they intended to do and this is NOT a one sided statement from the DEVS. Matter a factly, the same person that said the flick was never intended, later made a comment that it wasn't intended to be at the range it was, but it was supposed to be 90 degrees. Which, obviously, means, it was intended. It just wasn't intended to be mapped with keyboard and mouse to achieve that ridiculous flick.

Killers are a joke?
After all the crying about SWF the devs came out and told us 4 man SWF has a 49% survival rate. So much for OP.
I don't know what you must be smoking to say "survivors want the game handed to them"
Where is that stat at? Where is this DEV quote to be precise?

I agree you should express when a change is bad in your opinion. The key is doing it in a constructive manner. Most of the threads about this hotfix have been anything but constructive.
My point being, constructive is the way to go. I completely agree. However, when you see the same trend happening, despite any amount of constructive criticism, It starts to become redundant. Which is where emotion then takes the place of reason.
Which is my point. At a certain juncture, people will be fed up, it's starting to show. People don't want to stand on that side of the fence, pretend it's not a thing, but it certainly is.
I do agree. Constructive points are best but they are meaningless if left unheard or ignored.

Both sides have unreasonable complaints. You wouldn't believe how many cried over Oni's "nerf" even when the devs said in the patch notes his flick was unintended.
If it wasn't intended, why wasn't it changed before reaching live servers? Oh, wait, it was, it was nerfed. Not removed. Odd....
So.... Wait, what?
Why nerf the unintended mechanic if it was never entirely intended? LITERALLY makes no sense.
ALSO, not the same type of complaint. At all. Can't tell you are a biased survivor main at all...
-
Thank you guys for listening. It is appreciated. This change was way too harsh.

1. Oni is powerless killer at first.
2. Hit healthy survivors two times or collect blood orbs.
3. Congratulation! You can become Hillbilly for 45 seconds!
4. Back to 1.
It's literally nonsense. This wasn't a needed change that they just did at all.. Absolutely ridiculous.
EDIT: Just seen the intended changes, I hope this allows for a happy compromise and brings back the fun factor of this killer.

I think there is a lot of miscommunication going on. Yes, you CAN turn 90 degrees at the VERY end of the lunge, but now before that you are locked to a max of about 30 degrees, meaning you can't turn around corners even slightly. All survivors have to do now is just run around corners and keep going forward.
Here's a perfect visual example: https://youtu.be/O_j9EtJmaoo?t=50
Thank you, Scott..
This is EXACTLY the problem I've had. The 90 degrees isn't a true 90 degrees. It can't be. I felt like I was losing my mind.

To clarify, it reduced the up to 180 degree flick to 90 degrees. There is a hard limit at 90 degrees now. You can still turn 90 degrees no problem, even on a controller now. Being able to stack the mouse and keyboard controls to exceed the normal turn rate ratio was not intended.
We made this clear in the known issues when 3.4.0 first came out:
The Oni can rotate faster than intended with the keyboard or joystick during Demon Dash.
Then it's not working properly because I am certainly not getting 90 degrees with my mouse. Not even close.
MANY people are saying the same thing. It literally feels like I'm swinging a bus now. It feels terrible.
Please clarify why so many are saying they are not achieving this on mouse, but you are claiming we should be able to?
Perhaps I'm just dumb but I have played over 10 matches now. None of them I was able to achieve this.
Are you talking out of demon dash? Or just regular walk? Or both?
-
I like how the DEVS don't want things to be Survivor Vs Killer mains...
Yet... We continue to see this type of trend happening. Killers getting completely ######### on, despite the clear advantages of survivors. I'm about over this game. If this content was free, that is one thing, spending the amount of money I have on this game and they continue to do this type of #########, is another.
I hope more people lash out, I hope more people express their discontent. I know I'm tired of the BS.

People complain about so many things until they are blue in the face, obvs the devs had already plonned to nerf the Oni it's pretty obvious...i never said just positive feed back, if you are disgruntled about something, take it to the devs in a better manner then what some people do
Nerfing obvious thing is one thing. Nerfing him into the ground like many other killers is another. When it keeps happening, over, and over. There probably should come a time where people have just had enough, no? I certainly have. I'm tired of putting money into a game that leaves me questioning my decision to do so every time. The game is fun but It's being messed up consistently because they clearly favor one side of the complaints over the other. It is ridiculous and I'm fed up.
I hope more people "whine" and "complain" as you've stated. Maybe then we can see some unbiased changes to the health of this game, instead of repeating the same stupid mistakes that cause many of us left with the feeling of just wasting away our money on things that never appear as they seem.

complaints get you no where, feed back does, people forget about how people can do things a different and more positive way then acting like some entitled whiner
Complaints get you nowhere? Really? That's your argument?
Look around the forums.. use the search bar.. look at how many "complained" about, Oni. Now he is a much worse, Billy. Who didn't cost anything.. btw.
Positive feedback only goes so far. If you are upset with something, you want change, you express it. Sitting on your hands never did a damn thing for me in life, not about to start now.

You know, keyboard turning and mouse turning are on the same control, right? Q and E (or A and D) turning is literally just digital button press versions of what you're doing with the mouse. They are mapped in-engine to the same exact action. So yes, it means it wasn't intended. Don't be ignorant.
Please stop. It's embarrassing.

Never should have touched what made him fun... Nobody is going to be playing this killer soon. GOOD JOB BHVR!!!! :/

The funny thing is if those stats mentioned a kill rate of 25%, then people would have complained that survivors are OP and that those stats are legit, but since the kill rate is high, of course, they're unreliable!!!
Logic suggests that when you see a graph without detailed info, just a generalized graph based on a very limited statistic, without additional info, that It should be taken with a grain of salt.
Without details, without the full context of those graphs, it just gives you an idea. It doesn't pain the whole picture.
So, if that all is true. Then it stands to reason, It would not matter which side of that fence we stood at, the same principle would apply.
So, no, no logical person would flip flop in that way.
People tend to look at the feel of the game, how it plays, etc... Anyone that plays at high ranks, knows, it literally depends on many other factors.
What's ironic though, is, we are talking about a "Kill Rate" in a game that doesn't have a CLEAR definition of winning for either side of the coin. I mean, shouldn't that tell you all you need to know?

Also, imagine quoting and replying to your own post to further your point.
Every major "good" streamer so far has said this feels awful and it's the opposite of fine.
I'm going to assume you don't even play, Oni. Am I wrong? If I'm not, thanks for giving an opinion on something you have no experience with. If I'm wrong, please, let me know how you're doing "just fine" with him. Would love to hear about it.

I am searching through threads that have been created on this topic and I haven't seen that the Dev team has acknowledged this yet, I can't imagine this was intended? Or was it? If so, it's just bad. Way TOO dark. Please fix!!!

Is this being acknowledged? This is a ridiculous problem, this is WAY too dark. Not fun to play on this map at all because of it. Can we fix this please? Like, yesterday? Same for the old Spirit map. It's just too much. @Peanits

Then go play a completely different game.
How about you go play a different game. You're the one opening up threads complaining about dodges. Instead of talking about the real reasons why people are dodging.
You're basically asking the Devs to dick over killer mains by forcing them to play against try hard survivors with toolboxes, just to appease your desire to overwhelm killers in this game.
Again. How about YOU go play another game if you don't like it. It goes both ways.
-
Jesus.
Freddy is fine, people want to complain because they are too lazy to adapt. To try.
He isn't overpowered, forever Freddy isn't even really a thing, his base isn't a problem.
People. Just go play the game. It's fun. Stop crying. The devs did a good job with this rework.
The only killer I understand complaining about is, Spirit. Only because it's not a fun experience with little to no counterplay to her game.
Freddy isn't close to Spirit or Nurse level of complaining.
So, why waste the energy on it? Stats come out and this is the non-sense that happens. It's ridiculously tiring.
-
I can't even get passed the loading screen. GG
-
Honestly. I would like to see them tweak the Q/E flick ability of his power, with mouse alone, it's perfect. The hit box is a little silly too, could use adjusted.
I hope they make those moves, then see how he feels. Go from there. I think those two things are the only real problems in the Oni Vs Survivor categories.
-
This is an actual thread?????
Oni looks amazing at the DEVS did a fantastic job creating him. Shame on you.
-
I don't believe that you actually play Killer, if you do, I don't believe you play Killer as effectively as you are claiming. Doesn't make sense.
-
I have no faith in the DEV team for obvious reasons of the past and their "balance" changes. The most recent example being, Legion. He was completely gutted, he has been BAD for awhile now, and now they make him worse. They will likely ######### this killer up and I wont buy him until I know he is still viable and fun to play. Again. I have no faith in the Devs though.

So I've seen quite a bit of gameplay of the oni recently and something has bugged me..despite the obvious similarities to hillbilly...people are doing things vs the oni that are death sentences vs the hillbilly, running toward where hes going, taking long straight shots, not making advantage of sharp turns the oni cant even turn at..then at the pallets I never see anyone try to bait the swing at pallets .
Hes new so adjustment periods to understand him are inevitable and people will learn..I'm just surprised people have just been making these very simple errors..hes scary for sure, but theres one juke I think would work rather well..when he charges do a semi circle around a medium sized structure , then if he tries to be cheeky and keeps running, just keep circling it..he cant possibly turn fast enough and will waste precious energy , hopefully forcing him to go for a lunge which looks a tad awkward fo aim so that will help a lot I think
I am not advocating for Oni to be touched or nerfed.
However.
He can turn a little too good around sharp corners and loops. I've tried baiting pallets against good ONIs around loop corners at pallet, not thinking he could possibly swing that and hit me with his one shot. Well, he absolutely can. It's happened a few times now on a good read by a good ONI player.

All killers have unique powers, but they share the same aspects. That is like, written on the first line of the tutorials
Okay. Just because they share the fact that the idea is to hunt down and down survivors, doesn't mean they are built the same or equal. This isn't balance. This is doing something for the sake of doing something. Even though it directly impacts killers like Legion but not a killer like Spirit.
It's STILL an awful argument you are making.
-
@DepressedClownMain said:

All killers dont get stacks from m2. It is lifterally the same arguement that made spirit get a vault animation, and Legion shouldn't be an exception. Legion should have more speed, a better chase ability and everything, but keeping his m2 be the oy in game to get perks working is a mistake, and the devs did well by fixing it
This argument isn't accurate though considering not all killers are built equally. It's not a universal balance in that way considering that every killer is different.
You're acting as if all killers are built the same. It matters.
-
Who cares? This isn't applied to every survivor. This is still situational and isn't even dependent on you. It doesn't stack with the other aspects of perks now, It isn't more overpowered than other killers.
People just want to complain about everything. Running it this way, in a non game, with an intentional end cause and effect isn't accurate data.
It looks worse than it really is, if you try this in game, it's not really viable in all honesty.

What a nuanced and thoughtful counter-argument. Definitely not an overreaction, or a product of people jumping to conclusions instead of looking at the changes with a rational perspective.
It's not. My opinion was simplified to save time because I already can tell debating with you would be counter productive for me. Your "perspective" isn't logically sound and baffles me that you could even believe in the things you are saying.
Maybe you are being honest. Genuine with your assessment but I find it very hard to believe.
I think it's more likely that you are someone that doesn't really care much for the character and likes the fact that he has been crippled to this point.
Just to give you "some" insight on my perspective. I would hate to come off as completely "over-reactionairy".

Honestly, having done the math, I don't know if you gain distance or not if you use FF to traverse the map, because I can't find any sources on how fast Legion moves during his fatigue animation. It's noticeably faster than the Nurse's movespeed during her fatigue and the Hillbilly's movespeed during his chainsaw cooldown, but I can't find a single source for the actual hard number.
That being said, you're really overreacting if you honestly believe that FF will be useless, just because it doesn't interact with a handful of perks anymore. It's not like you can't use other perks to replace them. Might I suggest Monitor and Abuse? It makes it easier to get first hits on survivors, and it increases the range of your Killer Instinct detection once you get the first hit in FF.
You can score a lot of hits and get a lot of chains now with FF that you previously couldn't, either because your vault speed was too slow or your movement speed was too slow.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/850425#Comment_850425
Again, compared to most other M1 killers, Legion doesn't benefit that much from the effect of STBFL, because survivors often won't heal against him. It's the same reason you don't see many Plagues running STBFL, even though they usually rely on M1 to get downs. The reduced attack cooldown only helps you if you need to get multiple M1 hits in a very short time frame.
If you're up against survivors who don't heal, Thanatophobia slows them down and they're vulnerable to getting hooked if you find them. If you're up against survivors who do heal, then they waste a lot of time healing instead of doing gens, buying more time for you to chain hits with FF, or just get hooks. Either way, you win.
If the killer is following you and waiting for you to drop dead instead of just hitting you and getting it over with, then they're throwing the game. If you're upset by the fact that the killer is dicking around and wasting time with you instead of putting you on the hook, then that's on you.
And again, Beast of Prey only works when you're in a chase. The moment you break the chase, you lose the benefit of BoP. And last time I checked, Deep Wounds won't tick down if you're in a chase, even if the Killer has no Terror Radius.
You are wrong. Please stop. This was a huge nerf. It's ridiculous that anyone could possibly and reasonably think differently.

It's a valid complaint. He just got crippled.
It was a brain dead decision by the DEVS. It's just stupid.
-
People cry so much over a killer that isn't even good anymore. ######### sakes.
-
The OP is very much in the minority of Legion players.
In no way do I agree with this assessment, neither do many others. It's gross.
100% a Nerf.
Even the reasoning from the OP is silly.
Cool, you don't "lose" stacks now from hitting your obsession.
Okay? Lol Awesome?
In the grand scheme of things. How in the world could you possibly think that's enough to justify the changes? Lol
Makes no sense.

BEHAVIOR!!!
Nobody was asking for these illogical changes and nerfs!!
Could you please, for the love of God, put the guy who reworked Freddy on a rework for Legion. FFS
Please!?!

They literally crippled Legion.
So, no, not a very good job.
-
@Derp said:
I think the reduced mend time is fine but removing the synergy for Feral Frenzy with STBFL and Sloppy was unnecessary.
The reduced mend was just a fluff piece considering the trade off is a little more speed for a shorter mend. It cancelled each other out.
It actually benefits good survivors more because good players will spread out and create split pressure. So, you'll hit someone, run off for the next, you'll likely get to the new survivor just in time to lose your power due to distance, the initial survivor injured has already mended and back on gen, meanwhile you have lost power and are now chasing an uninjured survivor.
Only now, you didn't even at least gain some benefit of sloppy, stbfl, etc..
It's just awful and sad honestly.
What was BHVR actually thinking here. Dumb. Just dumb.

I'm fairly awful at the game and he is still one of my most effective killers even against red ranks, so he can't be that bad. Even if he was too weak though, doesn't change all my thoughts from a moment ago about the new changes.
He was extremely weak before, he is crippled now. It is a straight Nerf and terrible change. He was not viable before and Is useless now.
Absolutely no logic behind these changes.

Right?
