I don't get the non-sense on these boards. Let's call a spade a spade, save the BS biased shenanigans.
There is a problem with the balance of this game right now. Gen Speeds are a huge problem. Watching games like that make me cringe because It truly shows just how strong a good team of survivors are. I'm tired of the biased BS all the way around.
I hate RUIN, I'm very okay with change, however, changing something without addressing the OBVIOUS issues behind it is ######### asinine.
BHVR.
DO BETTER.
-
See.. I can see them going back to their cubby holes...
"Welp guys, after some initial testing, we have determined that DOC is infact still OP. We need to tone him down some more. We kept getting destroyed every game, so, clearly, we need to fix this error."
I mean... It's not because you guys are AWFUL at the game. Nope, that's not the problem. Clearly, you've made the killer tooooooo ######### strong. Sigh...
-
This is why It is a joke on some of the decisions that are made for this game. They need to actually use people that understand their own game, from a play-ability stand point, better than them. Which Isn't hard because there are a lot that get how this game plays better than their own staff. Sad.

What does experience have to do with anything? You can play this game for a week and get to Purple/Red with decent play. It’s not a tough system. Every argument in this forum is: “You’re not red, you have no opinion.” Literally stfu with that.
Im a red survivor and was a red killer til I literally dropped trying to sweat every match. No more ruin for coming on 2 weeks and I still win about 80% of my games, with 4 kills. Against red ranks.
Even using ruin against a strong 4-man will most of the time cause you to lose. So what’s the deal? You’re too reliant on the perk.
Balance a game around your strongest players, which is a small portion of the base in most games, and your game breaks. In this case, even more. Ive played countless smurfs that are true red rank killers and have even got one to admit he purposely deranked to green so he can get easier kills. How’s that fair?
Lets run meta-Perks against newbie players for my enjoyment and make their gameplay miserable. Where’s that end up? Loss of players.
The “nerf” on Ruin, who tf cares. Killers win more than lose. These forums make it seem the opposite because nobody complains about positivity.
Experience of the game has a lot to do with the amount of knowledge and input you can accurately provide towards the current state of the game.
There is a reason why I didn't mention anything about "rank". I asked how much TIME you have INVESTED into the game. There is a big difference in that.
I don't think on average, new players, get to red ranks in a week. I think the ranking system is very flawed, not that flawed though. It doesn't matter though, as I do agree that ranking up isn't the hardest aspect of this game.
I would appreciate you not putting words into my mouth If we are to have a debate though, I never once said anything like that. "You're not red ranks, you have no opinion." You are assuming that Is my stance just because others have used that method of defense, that's not me, so It's not fair to automatically put me into that category.
I think the reason people are going that route because It stands to reason, If you don't invest the time to better your skills, then you shouldn't have the nerve to complain about things being "unfair" or "Too Hard".
Meta Perks go both ways. Killers have 4 perks they can use in a single trial. Survivors have up to 16 perks they can have in total against 1 Killer.
Also... The argument about these perks being used against newbie players, etc... That's hogwash, considering the 80% stat was stated FOR the red ranks... Less than half over the whole player base. If NEWBIES are being lumped in with other RED RANKS, then that is a flaw in matchmaking. Not the perk itself.
Loss of players is not listening to your community, especially the majority. This game, It's easy to hit red ranks, again, your own statement. If this perk was being used by 80% of the red rank player base and most people are sitting in the red ranks, what's that say about potential loss? I don't think the influx of newer players outweighs the dedicated gamers for this game. I think the potential of this game dying because they are pissing off the veteran players far outweighs the new players coming in. I guess we are about to find out though, eh?
I nerf on ruin is just part of the problem. Which, again, Is WHY I'm asking how much time you actually have invested into this game because If you think the majority are strictly upset with the ruin change, then you're not really getting it.

Devs are dead set on changing it. "Oh We KnOw ThErE wIlL bE a LoT oF oUtRaGe BuT wE lIkE iT" They are straight up ignoring the community at this point.
That's what concerns me. An open dialogue and having the means to communicate efficiently without feeling shutout and ignored is very important. I unfortunately feel like the community is being ignored and the few DEVS that are posting here and there are posting with a closed minded mentality. That's not good.
-
@DBDfan12 said:
the red ranks think they are more important than devs. i can assure you , you are not. the devs have done a great job and will continue too. and all the crying and meltdowns wont be bringing back ruin .so enjoy everyone else and good job devs
I don't know who has been negative towards you within the "red rank" players. I assure you, this is not accurate.
The game health SHOULD be more important than all of us because we all, including the DEVS (I assume), want the best product available.
I think the DEVS have done a fantastic job, but, If there are flaws and room for improvement, It's okay to communicate that. If It's constructive and healthy. For the benefit of the community and game.
I would certainly hope the DEVS would say the same, I'm not trying to speak for them, but It would be logical to me to assume just that.
I also believe from what I'm seeing, reading, and others I've talked to, I don't believe the change to ruin is the biggest issue here. I think It is much deeper than that currently, hopefully, that Isn't being lost in translation.

What does this mean? Conspiracy? No, It feels more like an obvious choice to ignore what the majority of the community thinks. Instead of communicating properly and/or listening to the community.
It's certainly not all about me, which is obviously the point of this thread. It's about EVERYONE having the ABILITY to communicate their feedback for the betterment of the game.

Just go to the NEWS section at the bottom of the main screen while you are playing the PTB.

Survey?
The survey that is attached to every PTB that I've participated in thus far anyway. It's a way to communicate feelings towards the things that are new, have been altered, or changed entirely.
In this case. There is NOTHING in the way of communicating our feedback in regards to the new ruin changes.
It's a very telling thing to me, It's very hush-hush It seems, and that is concerning to me.
-
BUMP.
A little bit of communication goes a long ways. Just saying.
-
I'm STILL waiting for the answer to this...
How could they possibly make such a big change and then blatantly ignore it like It never happened.
"This is what we are doing..."
"Okay, well, ummm.... Enjoy!"
Silence
Ridiculous to do something this big without allowing the community to share feedback in a properly organized way. Like, this will just blow over. Is that the expectation?
I think a lot of people are losing interest. I think It's a horrible look.
Whatever though... RIP.

its not mediocrity, it’s simply not being a sore loser or getting pissed because I can’t get 4 kills every match. Deal with it. The Ruin change isn’t even that big of an issue, most killers are upset because they heavily relied, RELIED, on it to carry them. 2 kills is a great game.
Nobody cares about rank, as I’ve been told plenty of times. So get over it. Everyone in these forums pulls the rank card like they’re some sort of God in an irrelevant world. Rank 1’s shouldn’t dictate the game.
Most of you “Rank 1s” are toxic asf anyways as both Killers and Survivors.
You sound like you are not very good at the game.
I'm curious how much time in the game you've actually invested?
The ruin change on It's own Isn't a big deal, I agree, It is a big deal NOW though because other flaws of the game were neglected before taking the band aide away (ruin). That's the problem.
Just because you are okay with a VERY flawed aspect of the game, doesn't mean others share that same sentiment. Most of us actually want to play a game that Is as balanced as possible within the current state of the game.
It's OBVIOUS that people are not using ruin because of the stupid emblem system, people are using it, especially at red ranks because of the flawed aspects of this game. Map Design is my main argument.
When they don't bother to even acknowledge these flaws, yet, strip an obvious band aide that made playing killer at red ranks somewhat bare-able for a lot of killers, you're going to have this kind of backlash.
It's justified. If It's not addressed, they WILL lose a lot of the community that plays this game.
It's obvious.
Unfortunately I think the BHVR team lacks in identifying the obvious within their own game.
-
Still waiting...

I love it personally, so an option would be great because I definitely don't want it to be removed.

Devs aint that stupid, they already told they knew how much most killer mains will cry because of that change so there is no point in doing survey in that aspect because it wont be objective it will be just filled with salty killers tears
i never used ruin on my mains so <shrug>
btw killers mains when BL is getting nerfed: surv mains you have to adapt
same killer mains when ruin is getting reworked: REEEEEEEEEE survivor sided devs
only side devs are keeping are newbies, if you never knew that its friendly reminder
This isn't a productive post. Sure, I'm sure there would be a lot of emotional killer players voicing their displeasure.
However.. I know there are a lot of players in the community that would like to have a genuine conversation about the issues that ruin will ultimately cause now, how It will impact the game overall, and how to avoid losing a lot of people over a change that just didn't seem that well prepared.
To think that the EMBLEM system is why people were primarily using ruin is ludicrous and can't truly be expected to have people buy into that. The majority, by far, doesn't buy that at all.
So, It would be nice to have a productive place to establish engaging feedback over a very big issue overall In most people's eyes.

@Zagrid said:
They don't care about community feedback to a change they knew what the reaction to it would be but went with it anyway. Because screw Killer players, why should they have a say in what happens to the game. Why should they even have fun with the game?
This is valid I think but I truly want to know...
Why I can't give feedback in a organized manner on this issue?
If I can, where do I go to do so? Devs???

Right?

Thanks Devs!!! Killer players now get to be subjected to entitled survivors even more because you are making them feel as if they have a reason to whine and cry about the game being "too hard", even though It is COMMON KNOWLEDGE that survivors are the actual power role.

Naturally. But if that's the case, those who can't play at a high level will derank to a place where they're more comfortable. That is the point of a ranking system, after all.
I think the point of the ranking system first and foremost is for it to work properly, as intended, instead of having a wide variety of rankings be clumped together. It's kind of hard to get an accurate gauge on that skill gap if your matchmaking system is CONSTANTLY putting people made up of all different skill ranges together in one game, no?
So, If that is true, how can you HONESTLY make a statement as such?
This sounds like someone who isn't really wanting to listen to the community, instead, you are almost in a defensive stance, like someone who is proud of their work and doesn't want to be told anything different. Which is fine, It's just not productive in the grand scheme of things, the point I think for everyone is to consistently bring forth a better and better game as time goes on.
The problem is, you can go backwards if you're not careful as well, If you refuse to listen to the overall community. That's when people start to lose interest and move on, especially If the majority are not being heard.
Not only are you using a flawed ranking system as a basis for your argument, you are also expecting killer players to basically "get good" or derank, while you are LITERALLY removing great skill checks simply because It's too hard for newer survivors. Assuredly you and the rest of the devs can see the irony in that, no? That's just ONE example of many towards the ways in which you are catering to the survivor experience, while constantly taking away from the killer experience.
I don't like ruin. I think It's a terrible perk overall, however, I get why It is ran. It certainly isn't because of the emblem system.
I love you guys are looking for change, I just don't think you guys are heading in the right direction with a lot of these things and the timing of It isn't great either.
Thanks for all the hard work. I hope this comes off as constructive and engaging, I certainly am not looking to waste your time reading all of this, if you do. Thanks.

I was already losing interest in playing this game. I can no longer support a game that only cares about the experience of "new players". Instead of the gamers that have invested a ton of time into the game already, have spent a good amount of money on the game already, just to be constantly looked over and pushed aside.
I'm done. Shame on you BHVR.

It shouldn't be that way. It should be give and take. Instead you want to just take away from one side of the fence to give to the other. That's not okay.

Well, I hope they anticipate a mass amount of noobies to be strolling through soon because all this does Is hinder your dedicated fan base of players instead. All because they want to cater to "newer" players without actually learning how to play the game. Great decisions BHVR. Sigh

That is a good combo. I'll keep that in mind when I'm playing hag on coldwind farms and have to walk my slow a** to the other side of the map to move them off the gens only for another one to hop on as soon as I leave. Ruin is supposed to slow them down. If a survivor can't hit a great skill check that is their problem. They are supposed to be harder to hit anyways.
Excuse me? Survivors should not have to learn anything in a Survivor dominant game as DBD.
How dare you?
Side note.
I, not being complete trash at survivor, actually enjoyed hitting great skill checks.
Thank you, Dev Team.
You have now LITERALLY showed your full hand and where you stand with this game. It is extremely obvious that you are only interested in survivors playing on EZ mode.
All these patches have in common.
"Survivors are constantly complaining about this, so to make their lives a little easier...."
In every change mentioned, over and over again.

You want to elaborate or . . . . Something?
Sure.
The changes that the DEVS have made as of late have been embarrassing, with a very strong lacking in thought and brain power by the way things currently look, judging by the several horrible changes they've made to the game as of late.
I feel they've made a lot of money off of us, the player base is still fairly strong, perhaps, so these changes baffle me.
I feel like they are intentionally trying to kill of this game with these changes that are being implemented without proper balance to accommodate these types of changes.
It's a BRAIN DEAD way to approach these issues and I can not for the life of me plausibly understand how these changes could EVER be deemed as good without fixing the other issues that are clearly there because of these kind of stats.
Ruin is being used in 80% of these games.
Ummm.. Why are we not discussing WHY that number is so high? You think killers run this perk because it's fun? You think it's because they ENJOY running this perk? Is that why the number is so high?
The answer is obviously. No. That's not why killers run this perk. The reason it's ran 80% of the time is because of the early game and gen speeds, it's insane. Now you pull this?? How idiotic can you possibly be BHVR?
I'm sorry. I've had enough. Unacceptable.

Legion?
They are determined to ruin this game all together.
Legion is the least of my worries right now. Which says a lot, considering, Legion is my favorite looking character(s).

Who are making these decisions? How is this possibly being discussed first, then, after said discussion, still being green lit to actually make these stupid changes ??

As other non-######### Killers in this thread have said you don't need Ruin in high ranks. You do need Ruin if you're unwilling to become a better Killer.
And don't feel bad for any player just play the game. Like @EverflowingRiver said, "They need to learn."
It's too late in the game for this stupid #########. All these nerfs to Killer so the "survivor experience" is being catered to. I mean, ######### it, survivors learning how to be better, nah, killers should be the ones getting better at the game.
As if playing Killer isn't stressful enough.
So, #########, stupid.

I feel like you guys want the game to die.
This is about as dumb a Nerf as you could possibly come up with. What are you guys thinking?

People literally camp because of gen speeds in this game. Lesser skilled players don't know how to overcome it.
Hell, skilled players can't do anything about it at times.
I down voted the OP at least a 100Xs in my head.

Yeah, been getting a lot of this as well. Low ranked killers, I'm mainly just getting very low ranked survivors though and I think I'm mostly getting triggered because I can not do some of these challenges If my team can't run the killer at least a little bit. Sigh duck.

So the only thing I gathered from everything you just said is: Killers facecamp because they have an obligated duty to do so once gens start popping. I mean.. what?
Did you ever ask yourself why gens start getting completed? MANY killers don't even bother to kick a gen when they come into contact with it... let alone check them.
You really think someone who has to feel the need to facecamp because their hooks are getting saboed really has any desire to win the match? No. They just want to "punish" that survivor for messing with their hooks. Same with the people who can't catch other survivors because they keep swinging and missing, or their bloodlust gameplay isn't working for them, so they FINALLY break the pallet Etc. Etc. and survivors should be punished for the killer's inability to perform? Nah fam.
This isn't a full circle we've come to. It isn't even half a circle.
Clearly not every situation is the same, but to flat out say that killers get a free pass on camping simply because they got outperformed, doesn't give anyone license to complain about getting "gen rushed". That's like saying survivors should automatically by default unbreakable even without a perk because you literally cannot do anything when you're on the ground, unless you have a perk or someone who can heal you.
What? Did you even bother to read my post? What is this non sense? In no way is your conclusion even remotely on par with what I wrote. Huh?
You were extremely lazy with your rebuttal and I honestly don't think your reading comprehension really kicked in for you at all.
An obligated duty to do so? That is WAY different from what I actually said, which was, you rarely see face camping at high ranks and you mainly see it from less experienced killers, especially at low ranks because they feel a SENSE OF PRESSURE because of the problem being gens get done way too fast. Hopelessness. A lost game. Not knowing what to do. Desperation.
Take your pick man.
Big difference fella'.
Kicking a Gen happens way more than people realize, problem is, a Killer can kick a gen, waste 3 seconds of their time doing so, just to have a survivor run by an INSTANTLY stop regression, with no time delay at all. Kicking a gen without pop isn't doing much unless you proxy the gen. Just the way the game is.
I'm saying.. Camping isn't remotely close to the gen rush problem. Killers, ESPECIALLY AT LOWER RANK feel pressured to face camp because Gens are popping as fast as they do. This is the reason you see it, not because It's a great tactic. I gave several reasons why camping isn't effective. How It literally benefits survivors for Killers to camp..
I'm not sure how good at this game you are (I have my assumptions) but after reading your post, I'm going to just agree to disagree at this point.
Take care.

@Deanlcity
I'm in red ranks and it happens more than you think. So really, it is one example of many.
Also, face-camping isn't optimal, but proxy camping is. Why? Because you are guaranteed that someone won't be on a generator, and also at least one down (providing they have BT) or with the right killer you can get two.
Don't kid yourself by thinking that because it isn't "optimal" it doesn't work. Many killers have already figured out a way to camp without the need for it to be a full face-camp. Quite frankly I don't care if it is either. I just hate the double standard that exists when people who believe using Camping as a tactic is valid aka. "Oh yeah, bring BT next time", but working proficiently on gens isn't..."Well I got gen rushed, devs need to fix the gen problem". tsk tsk.
First of all, It ONLY works if the survivors are brain dead. It's easy to counter, you just do gens, yeah, It sucks for the guy on hook, but some games be that way. This really isn't an issue at all. It only hurts the Killer, unless survivors make the mistake of hovering around the face camp and allowing the Killer to punish them for it.
I'm also in red ranks, both sides, I don't see face camping hardly at all. The only time I do is usually when someone is being toxic and probably deserved it at that point. It is very rare to see a killer that knows what they are doing allow themselves to be tilted by someone because they will abandon chase when they know It isn't to their advantage.
Face camping is very common in lower ranks, that's just a lack of experience though.
Proxy Camping is far more common, I agree. However, this isn't a great strategy either because It's just the lazy way of applying map pressure which is also countered by anyone that has enough experience as survivor to realize the situation. You do see this more, but, It's certainly not a very consistent way to play at higher ranks either from my experience. Also, for me, It's hella boring.
There is certainly situations where It is the smart play for the Killer to Proxy, this, Is very situational though.
So, now that we've come back full circle..
It stands to reason, If gen rushing wasn't so powerful, people wouldn't feel so obligated to face camp.
I mean, have you asked yourself WHY people do face camp, especially at lower ranks? It's because of how fast gen's get done. They feel they don't have a chance because of how fast things are getting done, so they at least one to kill ONE survivor for their troubles.
This is a problem. Now, for Killers that have experience, there are plenty of games that I have played, where I did everything I could, I had good map pressure, I was downing people consistently, hooking people consistently (not slugging or camping) and still lost in 5-8 minutes because of how fast gens got done. Games where there was literally nothing I could do about it, didn't stand a chance.
That is a HUGE problem. Face Camping, survivors have an even greater chance of winning because they can punish the Killer that much easier because of It.
Killer.. yeah, good luck.
So.. It's not even comparable or an issue to me. Gen Speeds are flawed, I don't know the solution but It's a joke at times. Face Camping is just silly, ineffective, and not worth the time for me.

So you think killer vs 4 solos is balanced?! Come on now. I’ll ask you what I asked other guy...what is your idea of balance? I am speaking directly about kills, not any issues with the pip system. They have shifted balance over time to where a solo lobby is now weak vs killer, that’s what I mean when I say they’ve taken SWF into account. They absolutely have. If SWF was non existent, kill rates would be damn near 90% I bet. But yes, continue on with your hell to the nah nah on how an all solo lobby is perfectly balanced lol.
See, you are trying to make an unbalanced point. I am not arguing that Solo's should be the standard. I am arguing that SWF is too strong.
I will answer your question though.
My idea of balance is the definition of balance. Both sides of the coin should have equal chance to win on an every trial basis. Obviously the recipe to this hasn't been established but If we are honest, since SWF has been established in this game, there hasn't been much to alter SWF play in this regard. There hasn't been any tweaking on that side of the fence, only nerfs/buffs along the way to perks and killers. That's it. Instead of actually putting in an effort of some capacity to rectify the problem. Instead it's a constant grind of nothingness.
The definition of insanity is.. Repeating the same pattern over and over, and expecting a different result. Sure they have tweaked things along the way, so It's not complete insanity, but the true problems of this game remain. So, instead of putting a band aide on everything along the way, maybe, IDK, try fixing the true problems of the game? Do something at least. If It doesn't work, okay, move on to the next thing to you find the solution.
The rest is perspective.
I almost exclusive play solo survivor. I play both sides. Survivor and Killer. I've got rank 1 on both sides many times over. In comparison though.. I would rather play SOLO survivor for fun ALL DAY long than Killer. I can't play killer as long because It's way more stressful and annoying. I don't like to play dirty, I like to play nice, but when you play nice, you get nothing but toxicity on a consistent basis. It gets real old, real fast.
So, yeah, solo survivor doesn't bother me at all. Especially in comparison to playing Killer and the level of annoying that comes with it.
-
This entire thread hurts my head.
You have ONE example and try to mold it into the standard. Sigh.
This doesn't happen often in higher ranks, camping is not a good tactic at all as Killer. This literally isn't what most Killers are complaining about or doing.
-
I had a few games tonight like that.
First game was Haddenfield - 4 Commodious Tool Boxes with BNP - All Tbagging the whole time.

Yep. It’s funny to see some people try to argue killer vs 4 solos is balanced. That’s nonsense as it is very clearly advantage killer. If SWF were removed, or turned into ”unranked mode”, killers would completely dominate ranked games. Like it or not, SWF to an extent is required for balance.
Hell, to the nah, nah. You can't call it balanced when SWF has the clear advantage over the Killer. That isn't balance in any way. So, no, that shouldn't be the solution in any way, shape, or form.
-
So... when is Oni going to be fixed? Would love to play a Killer I just paid for without being miserable actually playing said Killer the entire time. Just kinda waiting around over here...

I've read as much as "one mistake and the game is over as killer" multiple times now and I gotta ask has anyone ever watched their own killer gameplay? EVERY killer does MULTIPLE mistakes EVERY MATCH including matches that end in a 5 gen 4k.
I often 4k at 5 gens and still realize I did several things wrong afterwards (like forgetting where I slugged a specific survivor causing me to lose momentum especially if I look for the slug and they get picked up somewhere else) yet I still 4k at 5 gens every now and then even against red/purple ranks with multiple purple engineer's toolboxes.
Everyone who claims killer gameplay required 100% perfect choices and no mistakes just isn't aware how many mistakes they actually do every game.
No killer plays 100% perfectly. NOBODY. Hell, most well known streamers make obvious mistakes every game and still 4k more often than not.
I don't think (..and I'm not trying to speak for others) that's necessarily the way I'm taking that statement. Yes, if you take it in a literal sense, sure, I see what you're saying.
For me, I view it as the margin for error is FAR higher for Killer than Survivor in this game. Nobody is perfect, however, a big mistake doesn't hurt survivors nearly as bad as It could hurt a Killer in a trial.
The margin for error is way off in that regard.
Is how I take it anyway.

If you’re stressing over a video game you may want to reevaluate why you’re playing video games to begin with. With that said, Killer tends to be more difficult mainly because you can’t be in more than one place at one time. If you get a survivor who can waste even a small amount time looping then it’s pretty much GG but get some potato survs and things can snowball in the killers favor fairly quickly.
I don't think the premise was the level of stress that you feel in regards to playing either role.
However, stress happens everyday, for a variety of reasons. To say that playing a game "shouldn't" be stressful isn't a fair assessment. Most people don't play games just to play, they have a goal, which almost always is to win. Which can present potential stress on an individual. It's just the way a lot of people are wired.
Again. It's not supposed to be taken this literally where someone is questioning others for playing video games if they feel stressed. It's okay to feel stress and play games. It happens all the time.

You seemed to have taken a lot out of one statement. You got close to what I'm saying but still a bit off.
There is a reason why I didn't mention the killer's experience* in my reply.
* referenced to the level of skill not how they perceived the match.
I'm trying to be unbiased so I just assumed. Trying to start a dialogue, which you seem to want no part in. Which is fine. Thanks.

survivor since I only play in solo queue I have to deal with interesting teammates most of the time
Yes but is it the ROLE that is more stressful or the situation you are in because of the other survivors you get matched up with? Is this every game? Do you always get cucked in solo queue?
I understand that Solo Queue can be frustrating, I actually only play Solo Survivor, but I do this to gain more experience and be to be better at the game individually. I don't rely on other people.
For me, with this approach, I still have a lot of fun because, yes, I am trying to escape, but most importantly I am trying to get better and have fun. Regardless of the random people I get in my game.

Depends on the experience of the survivor.
Okay, in what regard though?
A new player, playing survivor for the first time, may experience a ton of stress. The solution is obviously invest more time into the game, get better, desensitize, and run the killer around a bunch of tiles.
So I suppose, outside of being a new player, what stress do survivors have that outweigh the stress of the Killer.
The killer is constantly juggling four different people, forced to make quick decisions, be efficient with time management in multiple categories, and prevent all of these things in an attempt to keep the survivors from escaping.
For a survivor, you have to do gens, unhook from time to time, run the killer as long as you can, and open up a door. Which is delegated among all the survivors in the trial, not just yourself. Time isn't pressing in the same sense.
From my perspective, so I'm looking for other perspectives.
