  • @Revansith that is for two challenges on that tome, but you can still reach the epilogue without completing killer challenges and finish 10 of 18 challenges. Still legit I think

  • @SnakeSound222 Bonus points don't count against the Bloodpoint challenge, only the score you see on the last page after the match.

Of course, if someone just rushes and wastes pallets, it's a bit stupid. But USE CHAT to clarify who does what, and just bring a fast toolbox as you know you gotta do some gens while the chase is on, because there will be just few pallets left. And as a hint, to avoid the catastrophe, just bring windows of opportunity and try to go for the areas where no gens are or where the gens already have been done. These pallets are fine to waste. Then it doesnt impact so bad on the game.

But seriously, why do you guys expect these 18 challenges to be done in 18 matches? I'm happy I got something to do in this game now. The first tome was done in a week while we had 2 to finish. Same now. Tome 3 and 4 will be 3 weeks each (ok, tome 4 will probably be hard to finish in 3 weeks). Im happy to stick with one challenge for some games, there is a bar that can fill up in the non-master challenges, they don't have to jump from 0 to 100%. And to mention, I like the bottom challenge that says "get rescued by and rescue the same survivor". That is actually a cool challenge design. Unfortunately the only one so far, the rest is just like "play the game for a while"

And not sure if it is intended or not, but there are posts that say, for example on the self care or deplete medkit challenge, others' progress counted for them as well. Not sure if other survivors need the challenge active to make it work, but apparently there was one survivor selfcaring once, another survivor selfcaring once and at least one of them got the challenge done by that. Play SWF if you want it to go faster (as long as it is not patched ;) ). Might be useful on the "Complete 3 gens" challenge if this works here as well, as this is the hardest challenge.

  • As compared to the other "bugs", I would guess it is possible that you get a 100% self healing boost as you heal yourself up from "hooked" to "injured". At least DbD taught me that everything is possible.

  • I'm not sure if crawling really tells the killer "I don't have DS". No moving means also you might be recovering. So the survivor might be tappable if you don't "camp" him or might run Unbreakable. Also sometimes good killers are happy to waste survivors' DS if they have momentum. So I think it is not controlable for survivors if you get picked up or not.

But keep on noting until you have at least 1000 games to have a statistically relevant result :P

  • I think after 24 hours you cannot really judge the spirit. I get a lot of killer games where red ranks behave like infants, going for insta unhooks, getting downed beneath a hooked person and urbaning around the maps, where I ask myself how they got red ranked. And the answer is probably, because the ranking system is bulls at the moment.

As xRem said, headphones help but won't carry you, as you would get lost against any iron will. You also need to adapt to visual cues, and not only scratch marks. And the mindgames on survivor side need to be trained as well, and it is harder to do this than for killer to train spirit, as you don't always run agains spirit.

The survivor mindgames are not just running left, then walking right. It is also about timing, waiting in front of a vault letting the spirit hear you and jump through half a second before she comes out of phasing. "Being unpredictable" isn't specific like "360" or "moonwalking". It can be everything. Actually the best way to learn it is to observe someone who is capable of tricking a spirit. But that is very rare. And as spirit while learning, you are not able to see what the survivor did to just disappear.

But I really would not think I know everything after 24 hours. I started playing Pig because of a daily and a really good match, thinking "wow, that was easy, let's do another one". Got some more 4k and thought, stealth killer seems super easy, and then all of a sudden I got a match where none of my dashes hit and I barely managed to get one sacrifice. Just as example. Sure, spirit is relatively easy to learn to become a good killer, but she is not OP. The problem is more, that most survivors prefer to complain than to adapt, like they did on Legion. Also Freddy got buffed because many killers complained about "7 seconds before I may hit?!" and stuff. But I know several people that could make good use of the aura reading ability Freddy had before the rework. He was not that weak.

  • Ok, good to know. And the serum is usable 2 weeks until the rift closes. Ok, that is actually achievable. Thanks

  • @TragicSolitude Ok I missed the updated dates. But that is still 3 weeks each for tome 3 and tome 4. You can spend more than a day for each challenge in tome 4. Sure they are hard, and at least two of them seem ridiculously unfair like 3 unhooks in EGC and complete 4 gens in a single trial. These are actually bulls...

But the 6 hours for one rift you refer to is just talking about the XP. You gain progress finishing the challenges during that time as well. As I said, with normal gameplay I did apparently half a tier per day, without challenge progress.

The only thing that is broken is the queue times. Like said in the big calculations thread, you can't finish the rift with 1 hour per day, because you need 1 hour of XP gaining per day. That means, every minute a game lasts longer than 10 minutes (that' where you don't get more XP anymore) and the waiting time and everything around it, comes on top.

But that's why I said, more realistic is 2 hours per day. I have to search which thread it was, or search yourself, if you are interested in the details. But 2 hours a day is enough to get the rift done. If you manage to finish all the challenges in that time.

  • With the latest patch they removed the "%" sign from the emblems. And seriously I don't know why.

And that the emblems are broken is also well known. Insta down killers get lesser points on the chaser emblem, because there is one hit missing. That is on Myers and plague for example. The more often you tier up with Myers, the less chances you have for a golden chaser.

And also, the percentages are quite... dumb. On survivors lightbringer for example, you get 7% for a dull totem! and 15% for a hex! There are five totems in the game. But only two gates. Opening a gate, which is the ultimate objective which survivors want to achieve, gives 3%

And another joke: the first 2 times a survivor gets hooked, you get -% on the benevolent emblem, which you can revert by unhooking them. Meaning, if a survivor gets on the next hook stage without being unhooked, you cannot revert the -%. But same for the killer, because he is denied a hook action for the second emblem, less injuries on the third emblem and less chases and hits on the chaser emblem.

    lol

  • There is another thread that calculates what needs to be done. Ideally (which is not possible) you would need to play one hour per day in average to achieve the whole rift. Assuming that you finish all challenges during that time. More realistic with current queue times and spending bloodpoints from time to time it is more like two hours per day.

From the notes, you have one week to finish tome 1, two weeks for tome 2 up to 4 weeks for tome 4. The challenges get harder, so you progress slower through them, but you also got more time to do them before the next tome is opened or the rift is over.

Basically, you need to do 1 rift tier per day. 70 tiers, 70 days. But as the challenges get harder, you might to try to get some buffer before it comes to the hard challenges. It is not really that hard to achieve.

I played a bit more than normal this first archives week, and reached tier 20. According to the patch notes, it contains progress from 18th October. I started at tier 6 when archives got activated and am now on tier 20. So I had about 6 tiers in 12 days without challenges, 14 tiers in 6 days with challenges and a bit more gametime. Looks achievable.

And I think it should not be designed around casual players. If everyone could achieve it, the core gamers would finish a tier 70 rift in like one week, waiting 9 weeks for new stuff. And since it is just about cosmetics, it should not be such a big problem. The challenges stay active after the rift closes, so you won't miss the bloodpoints and fluff, just the cosmetics.

  • The average person should probably not be able to get the complete thing without any effort. At maximum, you would need 1 hour per day to achieve that, more realistic with queue time and spending bloodpoints etc. is like 2 hours per day. Assuming that you manage to get all challenges during that time. That is not such a hard goal.

If you want to lessen the effort, it goes at the cost of the players that play a lot. If you make it affordable for ALL players, the core gamers would finish the rift in like one week, asking "so what should I do the next 9 weeks?"

And it is just about cosmetics, so nothing to worry about if you don't get everything. If you think about the battle pass... I think if someone is willing to pay 10€/$ for cosmetics, he would probably play more than 2 hours a day.

  • 2 hours is way too much, thats not even on new killers on PTB. Do you have that still occurring or was it just a single time?

It is killer AND survivor queses at the moment that are pretty bad. I have no idea why, because the matchmaking is still messed up, joining ranks 4 and 15 together, killer ranks not being adapted in any way as it should be before or after the change. It seems totally random

  • well, at lower ranks the killers should struggle same. If this is a problem, it is a ranking problem, not an event problem

  • I wouldn't design an event on people's reasons for disconnecting. The other points might be a thing, ok

  • @twistedmonkey but I think if you don't care about events, you don't need to do the extra objectives. So that should go in line with that

  • The current event is really boring. You don't need to do the gens to get the serum, you just get it from normal gameplay over the rift, you don't need to spend the offerings to get the bonus points, just to get "more" bonus points...

You barely notice any change this time.

Not sure why so many complained about the other events, my favourite so far were the lanterns you need to destroy / carry out (except the fact that it was impossible to get all 9 levels with the cummulative increase). The plants were also fun but it was unlucky design that you could not proceed with harvesting after you got your 30 viles.

  • Would maybe need some serious statistics. In my opinion, the game breaking stuff is not really that often. And there are several skill based killers like nurse (which is kinda bulls if you CANT play her) and spirit, and also all the stealth killers like pig and GF, Myers depending on build.

Several killers have their own mindgame set which need skill to use and need skill to use their powers, like pig ambush attack on loops, aiming with Plague, Clown, Huntress, I think even Placing with Trapper, Freddy and Hag is skill based if it gets beyond the default spots where almost every survivor expects traps.

And from survivor side, timing and optimized looping is pretty much skill based. Knowing which direction to loop, how much distance you need to get the window without getting hit, being able to look around while in chase, awareness where the killer is whie chasing... I really can't share the opinion that all of this is not skill based.

Regarding the game breakers, I know that, if you play several games a day, you will most likely face it at least once per day. But notice that negative experience is always recognized stronger than positive. So the bad games weigh harder than the good ones, even if it is just 2 out of 10, feels more like 5 out of 10.

The main problem seriously are the bugs and the balancing. Sometimes I also wish they should get some consulting from Blizzard about balancing, they'ev proven in several games that they kinda master this discipline. But a "rather bugfree" DBD would also change the impression of the balancing and game experience massively.

  • I just can join all the opinions here. If the killer stares at you for 60 seconds, you should be happy that the killer is having a stupid selfchosen bad time. If other survivors recognize you are slug-camped and just wait instead of going to a gen, it is a bad team. If you don't like being slugged, this is, sorry, your problem. Both cases that are not the perks problem.

And what would be the situation if you pause the timer on being slugged? Free 60 seconds working on gens, no matter what the killer does. So everyone could run DS and 3 gens are done without the killer being able to avoid that. Running DS, No Mither and unbreakable would be the new meta. You running towards a gen? Killer can down youm the timer is paused. You get up again quickly with unbreakable, as often as you want with no mither. As soon as you are up, the timer goes on and you can work on the gen again. Only possibility for the killer, slug you again. Every 15 seconds, not being able to do anything else, as you cannot do anything within 15 seconds. Or just let you work on the gen for the remaining time. This times 4.

Or: just eat the DS of course. But to be honest, the number 1 argument on most srvivor posts is counterplay. This argument nerfs and destroys killers since the beginning. So you should eat this killer counterplay, or suggest something else as a valid counterplay to DS.

  • He doesn't need the bloodlust. As long as you want him still just played in the indoor maps. And even with bloodlust I'm not sure if he could deal with outdoor maps. Just can talk for myself but running against him and playing with him is always a killer sided game if you have the right perks with you to control the gen progression.

The thing with scratched mirror is, that you don't chase people, you hit them and let them go, then cutting off ways or let them heal super slow with sloppy or thana. So far you needed to break the chase so M&A gets you back to 0TR (in chase it was 14m or 16m). Now this isn't even necessary anymore as you are always on 0m TR, also meaning that other survivors nearby are not alerted when you chase someone else. Then you additionally get a free perk slot for more control. I think scratched mirror Myers is strong enough, with bloodlust it would give you even less chances to escape. There is no mindgaming against the wallhack, your only chance is your speed.

And Spinechill and Premonition are not the perfect counters to it. Sure it helps, especially to make sure that you are safe and don't need to panic. But it does not help you that much to escape. Premonition triggers also when he just passed by, letting you know that he is near, then you are on cooldown. Not knowing is he approaches you, if he is chasing someone, on the game not even if he is above or below you. And spinechill can be outplayed. Scratched mirror Myerses will need to adapt it, but if you notice that this one survivor always starts running when you get close, it is pretty obvious that he has spinechill. Then just read the aura for half a second, look away and approach. when you get close enough, take another look, just short, to adjust your route and look away, until you get close enough. Then spine chill doesn't give you much mre information than Premonition.

When I was active on the twitch challenges, I liked to play Tier 1 Myers, because I had the best chances to get many emblem points. In about 20 matches I think I had once 10 points, once 12 and the rest 14+. I can't even remember if there were hatch escapes, because you could just know where the survivor is, stay near, surround him and simply close the hatch on him. Or stand on it and wait for him to come to your 0TR. I think all 20 matches were actually 4k. I even tried to reach killer rank 1 at least once. Did it already but did not reach it with the emblem system. Almost gave up on the last day, but then I thought " just waste some BP on Myers to see if you get map offerings. 3 games then pushed me from rank 2 with 1 pip to rank 1.

So I really think he is strong enough and does not need blood lust. Also without scratched mirror, I would say, you want the grabs, no chases while in tier 1, so it wouldn't make any difference.

Welp, guess Plague's gonna get nerfed soon with all this complaining about her. You can suggest buffs all you want, but devs rarely if ever actually look at player feedback beyond "we like this" "we don't like that", take Nurse for example. Most everyone agreed her base was fine, addons needed changing. Instead they neuter her addons and ######### with her base.

Not sure if everyone agreed that her base is fine and the addons need rework. I know about omega blink, but that's it. Most opinions I heard was, a good nurse plays without addons and the best don't even need perks.

  • I remember how everybody loved spirit when she came out because of this. Tier 1 Myers is still loved (mostly) for his playstyle and GF would be great psychological fear if he wasn't the number one meme killer. But I think also Demogorgon has both of it, the new chase music, everytime he misses you with a lunge and boosts into your camera right beside you, and the oblivious state while on the portals grant several scary situations in my opinion.

The thing is, to be scary, a killer really needs to be viable to be a threat and the longer they are out, the louder the voices get to call the killer UP or OP, ruining the atmosphere somehow

  • @Rydog @Boss What I mean is, that they apparently have made progress on the holy grail of licensed cosmetics. I'm not saying that BHVR apparently ignored the protection. I have no idea what they have done, but apparently they are some steps further. And regarding the complete new outfits for Pig and Myers they have done some good progress, so the charms seem to be not a problem, they will have considered that as well. I would be wondering if they really release the charms saying "oh well, darn, licensed survivors are excluded"

  • @Peanits said:

Regarding #3 specifically: This is actually a very intentional change. Since Deep Wounds now pause in the terror radius rather than in a chase, being able to see the progress on Deep Wounds would basically give you a built in Whispers. This is more of a Deep Wounds thing than a Legion thing, though, it would affect every killer across the board, not just The Legion.

actually it stops when you are inside the TR or while mending. So the only information you can get is that someone is outside of your TR and still running.

@TheRockstarKnight just an opinion to the "tunneling" point. Why is it so common to call it tunneling when talking about Legion? Tunneling is when you hook the same survivor multiple times to get him out of the game, instead of going for obvious other targets. I wouldn't even call it tunneling when you deny the safe unhook to a pretty unsafe unhooking action. When a survivor offers a hit to protect and you dont take it to go for the unhooked one, then it is tunneling. But DEFINITELY it is no tunneling if you try to down someone during a chase. Also not if you need more than 2 hits. The "problem" was, that Sloppy/Bloodhound was meta to Legion and that made it hard to escape the killer. But that is true for EVERY killer that spends half of his perks for this effect and therefore should be strong. That is not a Legion / Frenzy problem. And shouldn't be called tunneling.

My opinion also is, that the only change needed was the moonwalking abuse. But making the Bleed Out TR related fixed that issue. Everything else was fine, just nobody wanted to learn the counter.

If we stay with the new version of Legion, I would also suggest a Power rework. If not, at least the following changes might help:

    • put bleed out survivors into the same state like Madness 3, so they need to mend before they can do anything else. Almost everyone knows that the first Frenzy hit will make Legion run away from you, so many survivors just run to the closest gen, knowing Legion chases someone else and being save as long as inside the TR. Which is kinda stoopid
    • When hitting bleeding survivors in Frenzy, there should be any effect applied by default. It is simply unfair that Legion is the only killer that gets punished for using his power. I have seen bleeding survivors body block healthy survivors to cancel the power, without taking any negative effect for that. That should not be the case.
    • There are a lot of easy loops that can be abused by running it 3 times to run out of Frenzy. Even the killer shack offers this possibility. If Frenzy does not even help to get easier first hits and just is about the "information", it is really the most useless power of all. increase the vaulting speed again.
    • I loved the slashing of old Legion but also understand the change to break the power after a miss. But I would suggest to just reduce the power gauge for each hit. Like 10% after a click and 25% after a lunge. Or something like that. Of course adjustable but don't forget that on average the "running" still will take like 60-80% of the power.
    • Fun Fact: talking about "running", a trapper with 3 stacks of Play With Your Food walks faster than Legion is running in Feral Frenzy.

You think they got those cosmetics in the game without needing approval?

Then why would they hold off on more cosmetics for Shape for 3 years, who's usually voted the most popular licensed Killer?

The pig cosmetics aren't that old yet. I guess they made progress against it, and successful as well as there are new license cosmetics in the pipe. I don't know how they progressed with that but they did somehow. And I'm pretty sure it will not be an issue to attach some tiny bling on the waist of a licensed character.

  • Pig has already new cosmetics, Myers to come during halloween. I think the license thing is outdated

  • @Raven014 said:

This has worked for other games... but what if the person keeps getting disconnected for reasons other than quitting on their own will? What if it was constant crashes, or other issues? Until dedicated servers go live, they can't actually tell, which would make this solution... bad for those unjustly punished.

The game should be able to detect that. You get an audio cue at the moment when someone leaves on purpose, but not when there is a real connection loss.

  • @Neverdweller said:

Sounds like you take the game way too seriously. I think ranked needs to be removed from the game for just that reason.

If someone wants to leave it shouldn't be a huge impact on you negatively.

It has never really been an issue for me.

Why do I take the game too serious with what I said? When on boardgames someone flips the table in rage, do you say "hey, let's play the game with what is left on the ground, and you just leave"? I just would like to play the game as it is meant to be, 4v1 not 3v1

  • @Neverdweller said:

I feel like DC isn't even a real issue at this point and I don't feel it should be punished.

If anything I feel that it should reward not only the killer but the survivors who remain in the match.

Also why does it cause survivors to De pip when a killer leaves before a match starts AND causes you to lose any offerings?

    Come on.

This should have never been a thing.

The game should feel rewarding without being obnoxious because someone leaves.

Someone left so what lets keep going should be the attitude of the game and it should enable everyone to feel that way on both sides.

    Fixed.

Also if you are in a party and your friend leaves, naughty naughty no bonus for you so no abuse.. disconnects do happen sometimes though, oh well.

Are you serious? Just go on? You know the progression rate and what it means to the survivor game as soon as the first one is killed? If that happens before the second gen is done it is in average games almost impossible to escape other than using the hatch. The game is done if you don't face a bad killer, you may just try to grind some points until the 4k.

Also I totally disagree that DCs are not an issue. I have at least one DC every third game some days. For various reasons. Playing against Legion, against spirit prayer beads, when being tunneled or camped 'just once', when bodyblocked by Plague to puke until broken for the ez insta down, even against hags or doctors when downed within 30 seconds there comes the DC before even picked up.

It is not always that bad of course, but it DEFINITELY is a real issue. And I think a personal timeout is a common punishment in several games and is fine here too.

But that is not counterplay. Valid counterplay is jumping into a locker against Nurse or Chainsaw Gang to avoid a hit/try to stun them. “Hiding” in a locker against Tombstone does nothing to benefit you - you still get found and caught, you did not escape or juke - but it does everything to spite the Michael because it’s literally misusing a game mechanic to deprive the killer of what they rightfully earned.

The counterplay to Tombstone is DON’T FEED THE MICHAEL. Getting to tier 3 takes so long, gens get down to 1 or 2 before even a Michael that feasted on survivors reaches that point. If you deny him los, gens get done before he can do anything unless you screw up.

But no, locker lurking is not the answer - it’s a “screw you.”

disagree on that. Forget the achievement. That happens once in your whole "game carrer". All the other games are like "I wanna mori people and you guys can do nothing against it". Everyone complains on every strong killer having no counterplay, thats why Legion got nerfed, thats why nurse got nerfed. Don't remove the counter to tombstone. As well, you DO get a benefit: you don't die, you just get downed.

Of course, if the game is over and the last one denies your achievement, this is pretty "animal name". I'd call out to everyone to just grant this achievement, when there is no chance to escape anymore. One achievement and tombstone play less out there, because especially the double ultra rare version is hell no fun to play and the killer will most likely not play that again

  • Id also vote for the timeout. The more often you DC, the longer the timeout is. Works fine in Rocket League, as far as I can judge

  • Maybe it would be an idea to split the rift into 4 paths? Each a free and premium for killer and survivor progress? And then the survivor paths just containing charms and cosmetics that are just for survivors or both, and vice versa

  • First thing: why is everyone so mad about not completing the rift??!? It is about COSMETICS! And the lore stuff and bonus BP are still available when the rift closes! No one HAS to buy the rift and has no drawback if he doesn't. And you still get some fancy things for free if you don't pay anything! And another thing: if you don't play this game like daily, why everyone expects to get everything for no effort? What about the people grinding the game? "Yay, I'm done in 3 days, 67 to wait for new content..."

Back to the maths, please correct me if I get anything wrong. Just as it is shattered around in several posts I wanna summarize to be sure everything is correct:

    • So we need 700 fragments, 352 from challenges, 348 from grinding.
    • We have 70 days to do so (confirmed?) which means up to 42k XP from first survivor/killer.
    • Means 278.400 XP - 42.000 = 236.400 XP
    • If ideal, an exact 10 minute match grants the max possible XP of 600
    • Means ideally 3600 XP per hour, which is ~66 hours
    • adding time for queue, spending bloodpoints and every second a match takes longer than 10 minutes (and this is a really hard to estimate factor)

My rough guess is that I play 3 games an hour, sometimes I'd rather say more like 4 games but I also notice the difference in queue times when playing killer, solo survivor or SWF. But let's just stay for now with the view, that this is a queue (and server?) problem, not the rift problem, that needs to be fixed.

That means, the roughly guessed reality is 50% of the ideal. Which means I need to play 2 hours a day on average, to get to it. And I just need to play more than that, if I don't manage to get all challenges done in this time. Whatever takes longer. And to be honest, I know people that spend more time on CandyCrush on their mobile. If you play less, you really can't expect the game to grant you all the content, just because you want it. If you pay money on cosmetics, I kinda expect you to play more than that.

@HellCatJane The problem with last years halloween event was that you could not cleanse the flowers anymore as survivor once you finished your 30 items, making it impossible to get the bonus blood points afterwards as well as survivors not spending any more offerings to create the flowers. That's why a lot of people switched to killers and wrecking the queues. Probably the challenges might shift this a little but I guess not much more than people are getting influenced by dailies of the "wrong" role

And one more thing to you all. Nice you promote DCs to get your sheet done. Sure it happens, sure there are people who never learn. But DC is not a problem caused by the engine, it is caused by the freakin premature donks that simply don't wanna play the game when it not runs by their perfect world rules. I'd really like to see some more critical feedback on this behaviour than suggesting "yeah, this will happen, this is normal, you know, not to say it is ok pls do so". If we could more point out that this is simply donkey behavior and point with our fingers at those who do, saying "you ruin our game!" we might get better to a fix of that, rather than blaming BHVR to not build the perfect game for all the whineys out there. Amen

  • @ScottJund aren't all pallet loop moonwalk fake vault mindgames guesses? aren't most survivors saying that this is the game's key element?

@Kabu not sure about the link to Terror Radius and Phasing sound. I'm pretty sure I tested that in KYF and could hear both, so TR perks not influencing the audio perception range

@All How often do you notice crows getting off in a chase? Especially when spirit most likely follows your path and you scared the crows already away. Can you really make use of that effect?

@ThxForFacecamping @Liruliniel I'd rather say against several killers it is not really possible to learn. I agree that most people don't wanna learn, just from the feedback on old Legion, just had it so often that I got outplayed and made use of that in my own games against Legion. But for this "you can see she's phasing"... I play this game pretty long but never noticed that. How should you be able to notice that in a chase? If survivor players' perception would be that good, noone would step into bear traps. You literally have to build your team, do KYF and play no games but examine the killer to death.

@Pleebean To 2. I think Fixated is also good as you get away from your scratch marks faster when you walk, it's not just about you seeing your scratch marks

  • I think the balancing should just be reworked. Not a single medium value like rank 1 + rank 10 survivor makes a rank 5 killer, not a min/max approach like it is/was. More like, take into account how many people are below or above the average rank, higher ranks weigh more than lower ranks or something like that.

Actually there will never be a balancing on SWF that is fair for both sides and all 5 players. Simple as that. I mean, you know Rocket League? How would you balance this between players with 100 hours or 1000 hours gametime? Maybe this makes it clearer as the "skill" difference is more obvious, to see what an imbalanced team needs to deal with.

And on another note, I know people who tend to let weaker people stay in game longer and go for the stronger (if in reach at that time). Just because they seem to be less experienced and a lesser threat, like they tend to heal more often than to spam gens. And also regarding to have the less experienced survive for the hatch game, to have better chances to get a 4k. Just to put a different view to the table

  • Once had a strange trapper game. 2 gens were done by the time I got the first hook to the basement, killer shack in themiddle of the cornfield. I trapped the window outside already before in game and when I came up from the hook, I trapped the middle of the room, where the direct lines from door to door and from stairs to window cross.

I went out to kick a gen, turning around and seeing a survivor heading to the shack. Followed him and hit him at the door, he was rushing down the stairs. Still could see him, when the unhook happened, soon after all 4 survivors getting out of the basement. A bit of body blocking and slashing ended up in two downed and two trapped survivors. After I thought "gawd, 1 hook and 2 gens done", literally 20 seconds later the game was over.

My brother played against 4 Lauries with OoO on Temple map. First a normal game and then the memes started. I started looking over his shoulder when he was directing the Lauries with the trapper. Then positioned in front of the temple, when they all stepped at the same time into 4 traps between the entrance pillars.

Later when EGC was running, they gathered inside the temple. All bleeding, walking around the middle circle to paint a bloody line around it and placing all their items in the middle. They pointed at my brother to step into a trap in the middle, while they all stepped into 4 traps around the middle, staying trapped until the entity took them all.

  • Id also say both would be nice. Get the gen speed down, they have to take it or deal with the slowed down healing time, which as well slows down gen progress. Actually, Sloppy Thana Dying Light is kinda meta to Legion. And I hate playing against it. It slows down hardcore. So if you dont want to be hated for your build, actually dont use it :P

Even stronger on Plague for obvious reasons (if you are good at using corrupt purge)

  • Having mirror Myers constantly at 0 TR is great, that makes it easier to switch targets during a chase. The one you are chasing has the chase music, everyone else had the 14m TR. Now it is a constant 0 TR without MnA.

But spinechill definitely works on tier 1 Myers now, I have seen a video. I guess same for Premonition.

Please spare me your wrong stories ok? I paid for the game, all dlc and bought several skins. This game has multiple ways of income for BHVR, your statement is that you get your money back is completely wrong. 10€/$ whatever you don't get that back you can earn another 1000 AC back that is if you devote your time to playin dbd. It is a free2play mechanic in a game that costs money and is heavy on the dlc part. The fact that you do not understand why people do have an issue with that is cause you do not know about free2play and where it originates from and how it does affect game design. I recommend that you read up on the subject and than you will have less and less trouble to understand why there is an issue.

I really don't understand you either. I was thinking about if you mess up free2play and pay2win, but that also does not explain your comments. Would you be nice and "explain" your point rather than stating that others don't get it and keep it open to interpretation?

  • I guess the same counts for Premonition?

  • I would also suggest to at least extend it to 3rd Nov or 18th Oct.

Although 18th October is maybe unrealistic as it is too close to the PTB :/

  • @ScorpioBlackOps Well, the dailies motivate to play both sides as well but don't fix this "gap", not sure if the archives will. Definitely more than the dailies as the rewards are stronger, but I would doubt a huge change in buff and nerf requests.

@BunnyTheHutt well, you are not forced to buy DLCs, you get the maps for free and the perks by shrine. And counting in cosmetics... they are seriously not affecting the game, are they? Most of them are even pay to lose as they are shiny bright. And did you notice that the premium path contains auric cell rewards? At least in the PTB track you get all 1000 cells back when you finish the 70 tiers completely. So I wouldn't talk about greed here

@Pirate They don't give free stuff?? How about the halloween event? The new year event? And all the cosmetics you can get from these events?

@Ghost_Potato I read so many comments that are not even half thought to the end. No real unlocks in DbD? So what is the bloodweb about? And all the teachable perks? And with the rift coming up, all the charms and cosmetics you will unlock? Even in the free path. And event cosmetics, and and and...

  • @Sziosis well, so far just talking about the basekit here. Franks mixtape was broken and combined with the powder an almost guaranteed 4k.

But Legion is not the worst killer cuz it is 115% now. Every killer at that speed can manage to be good. And the multi stabbing was actually the great fun part, for me also on survivor side. Because of the 110% MS Legion was not really a threat when injured, but there was always a massive slaughtering once you teamed up with other survivors. Actually it was a bit funny to me to see screaming survivors spread into all directions, I really loved these scenes.

@UlvenDagoth I think Legion needs a complete rework. Most survivors still hate them. I think sometimes, for no resaon, just because they got used to hate Legion, but anyway. The massive slashing and chasing down multiple times needs to get back, but in a way that makes it more counterable and not a waste of time if you loose a chase.

Maybe like stacking up wound tokens with each hit, that slows down your speed by 3% and needs 10 seconds to heal per stack, maybe 5sec when healed by others. But you are downed if you receive the 4th stack. So you can decide if you take more stacks and risk the down or if you take the slowdown. Just a rough idea, but definitely something completely different from what it is now

  • @UlvenDagoth I know about the blood. This was actually one of the HUUUGE points that I totally did not understand why they changed it. There was literally no one complaining about it. The only complaints about that was the moonwalk abuse to track survivors backwards, but that is "outside" of the Frenzy! When they opened the questioning to ask things they should answer in their stream I asked them about taking position to every change and what they addressed with it. Sadly that was not asked often enough, they stated some of the changes but not all. And I'm pretty sure there is no straight answer to this change

  • @GrootDude said:

Old legion had no counter play in chase, I mained old legion and survivors skill became irrelevant in chase.

    Legion needed a change.

He had a counter. Almost everyone forgets that Legion cannot see scratch marks in FF chase. And also that sloppy butcher and bloodhound was kinda meta to them to get around that. But that is a tracking ability that is strong on every killer, Legion just could make use of it the most because of the ability. NB that this eats up half of your perks, so it's gotta be good.

Leaving that aside, many survivors did the pallet bait wrong. They returned way to fast to the pallet so that you could see their head. You need to time that right, and many people didn't do that. If someone knew how to do it right, it wasn't so difficult to get past the 6 seconds. I even managed some times to crouch back to the pallet, Legion get past me and then I didn't fault back over the pallet but followed Legion, to make him turn around and me leaving behind his back. No scratch marks for the win. Of course this doesn't work when already injured (without Iron will), but feels great when you manage to outplay Legion like that. And that's not the only situation where you can make use of the missing scratch marks. Breaking LOS and Quick and Quiet was pretty strong against them.

I used to main Legion also before the change and had regular 0 - 4k games with them. After the change I simply hate them. Nothing that was fun to play is left. The power simply gives an easier first hit, after that it is just pushing through the loops. If a survivor is too good at looping, I even go to tier 3 with Myers if I feel like, just to get the speed boost to hit the injured loop god. Legion has simply nothing.

And to be honest, for me it was no problem to "have no counter play" against Legion. I enjoyed the chase as long as it lasts, trying to buy as much time as possible for others to do the gen. I don't need to make a fool of all killers by any means. If I can't because of his power, I'm happy to take the advantage of longer chases by default and try to maximise it. And be even happier if I still manage to escape. And for example that the FF was ready within 2 seconds? That also means if Legion tried to optimize the Frenzy distance, a single 360 could be enough to get the stun and another distance boost.

But it is easier to just complain about all that doesn't fit into your playstyle than to find a way to deal with it.

  • I'm missing the option "occassionaly without a fix rule, when I feel like"

Sometimes I get bullied by 3 survivors and give the hatch to the one that played normal (If I manage a 3k in this game) sometimes I give hatch when someone is left that seems to be unexperienced.

It really depends, but in all cases it needs a reason to do so. Because I never saw a survivor that gave a free kill because he is generous (excluding in farming matches)

    btw what means BM?

  • The bug should be fixed, not that you can use it on yourself

  • Europe here.

Had it now several times that dead hard triggered exhaustion but I got downed. Today I even was downed DURING the deadhard animation

When using stalking with Myers, the progress is reverted when stopping the stalk. Seems like percentage, the longer you stalk, the more of the progress is reverted

  • Give a +1 if you like it :P or does that not influence BHVR in reading posts?

That's literally what I said 5 stacks for tier three is fair enough

Yeah, at 6 seconds duration. And it still wouldn't fix the scratched mirror issue you mentioned before

5 stacks of Distortion is fair is it not. Since killers have plenty of aura reading perks.

They can have a maximum of 4 perks in a game, doesnt matter if they can choose of 20 different perks. It is ok to increase the stacks by tier maybe if you don't additionally increase the timer that you stay hidden. 6 seconds would be enough then to counter bitter murmur, BBQ, All Ears and stuff
