  • Right now, Hoarder does NOT decrease the value of items in chests, so one of your arguments falls flat.

In the "Key vs Mori War", Keys have the upper hand, so if Hoarder DID reduce rarities like it was supposed to, that would be huge for a niche build.

  • Streamers usually aren't #########.

It's almost like they have a community and audience they're trying to build, and being a douchenozzle is a really bad way to make friends.

  • Blight has a lower camera compared to other Killers, so this gives the impression that Survivors are moving faster.

Apparently they fixed that with the last update.

As for "sneaking up to Victor"...does crouching negate the killer instinct effect or something?

Crouching does indeed negate Victor's tracking.

Nobody seems to have caught on yet, though.

I wouldn't say Hag is just as powerful as Nurse. Nurse will always be the best killer in the game (other than her bugs) and unless they rework her, that will never change. Hag has to set up, Nurse does not. Hag's teleport can be taken away (with Flashlight's), Nurse's cannot. Hag is very powerful, yes, but I feel like good SWF's can still deal with her somewhat.

Actually, you can Lightburn Nurse, though she can immediately Blink and invalidate your attempt, or just not blink at all.

  • I think this has to do with the Devour Hope mori being registered as an Ebony Mori, hence why I've always seen the mori icon for it.

Only a dev or a mod like @MandyTalk could confirm that, though.

  • Blight Main, here.

Survivors will often get real close to a Blight who slams next to them, because doing so makes it really hard for Blight to time a Lethal Rush quick enough to hit them if they do so.

  • Okay, if it's Deliverance, then yes.

Allow them just enough time to get one attempt in if they do it right away, but no more than that.

I enjoy VS blight, just not playing AS blight.

But I'd love to vs blight any day considering all I mostly see is clowns and bubba.

    That's fair.

Blight, I've heard, is quite fun to play against, especially if they're good, because they actually put up a scary challenge that is fair to play against.

    Twins for me.

Total map pressure, unpredictable pounces, building Charlotte to be a mean m1.

    If it clicks it clicks.

I can't stand playing as blight, and I don't have much trouble juking his dash as survivor. But to each his own.

I gotta face off against you at some point, then! Blight Main versus Guy Who Can't Stand Blight.

  • If you found a Killer that clicks with you, power to you, man!

I felt that way about Blight when I got him day one.

For me, I played him for all of two minutes and everything just... Clicked in my brain.

Easy 2k against a SWF squad with no perks available to me at the time.

  • Victor is effectively Undetectable at all times, given that he isn't really the Killer between the two.

    He can't see Scratch Marks.

    He doesn't get Bloodlust.

He doesn't have a Red Stain or Terror Radius.

Really, the Entity brought Victor in to compliment Charlotte, despite the fact that Victor is definitely superior to Charlotte in some aspects.

Alchemist's Ring is the most broken addon in the game and I will not change my mind on this. The only thing that might be able to contest is Blight Tag + Shredded Notes because ez instadowns and fast power regen on BLIGHT is positively unreasonable.

I don't often find myself expending all my Rushes to down Survivors, but I definitely see why that combo is particularly devestating to play against.

    Edit: Spelling.

  • @Demogordon_Ramsay said:

Blight played at the optimal level is just shy of being a 115 5-blink Nurse. When you get good as him, he's genuinely busted. Even better than Spirit, assuming both are addonless.

As a Blight Main, I can attest to this.

Even moreso, I've found that a Blight who is spot-on with his Rushing and with Alchemist's Ring is a TERRIFYING force to be reckoned with.

  • Woah, woah, you think BLIGHT is bad?!

The first Killer since Spirit who can actively stand up to the iron-clad grip Nurse has on the S-tier category of the tier list?!

Edit: Yes, Blight has his problems, but I've found that they're few and far between, and the trees scattered all over the maps more than often make up for any weird rock bumping.

  • Clown has the best perks of the three, Pyramid Head can deny DS if Survivors slip up, and Oni is one of the top Killers in the game. The choice is twofold.

  • I give a quick nod-seizure to the last Survivor I down in a match when I intend to give them the hatch.

I have no idea what it looks like, but on Blight, I imagine it looks a tad silly.

  • @Almo said:

Appraisal's loss of the changing of rarity on items found was a technical issue. The loot tables are buried deeply in a bunch of systems, and adding a new loot table below the current lowest caused problems elsewhere.

Whether this feature will return is under discussion, and is affected by the amount of work necessary to adjust the loot system to support it. We've seen the feedback and consider it "high on the community wish list".

Okay, you see, people of the forums, this is some Grade-A communication right here.

To Almo: Thank you for the information, and please do your best to keep us informed of things like this in the future!

  • As a PC Blight Main, I'll tell you right now that playing C Blight is like playing C Nurse- You're at a severe disadvantage simply because controllers will never be as good as a mouse is for camera control.

In your case, you're gonna want to use Rush/Lethal Rush to get from point A to point B as fast as possible.

Keep up pressure, switch targets often, and hook-hook-hook. If you follow these basic steps, Blight can be incredibly oppressive.

Though, it helps a LOT if you can hit your Lethal Rushes, trust me. Practice will be your friend.

  • I've seen at least one key, either found or brought in, every two rounds or so.

None of those using one managed to get the hatch from me, but it's a thing.

  • Honestly, with the fixes Peanits has mentioned as the major ones in the roster, and how the Twins, you know, actually function now, I'd say that so far, BHVR is earning back my trust.

This is only one small step in the right direction, but if they keep that curtain pulled back for us to see their thought process on things, then I'd be more than happy to cut them some slack.

  • In terms of strategy, I'd bring the All Seeing addon that allows you to see Survivors, and Coxcombed Clapper, which in tandem will allow you to pull of some sneaky mindgames and hit people where and when they don't see it coming.

I've hit many people by lunging around corners after uncloaking when they're hiding out waiting for me to make a move.

  • I mean, I had a similar dream once, but for the Rake from In Silence being added to DBD.

I made an entire topic on the concept.

  • I actually kind of like this idea.

Is it still OP in the hands of a 4-man? Maybe so.

But at least with this consolation prize, the Killer would no longer be left in the dark on where the OoO user was holding out.

Hell, with thar change, I'd even allow it to work regardless of distance, though maybe that's just me.

Though, please ensure that it does not expose Undetectable Killers in the process.

Obviously, it isn't entirely complete, as it is a concept, but kind of the idea was that you could trigger Overcharge at any point and bum-rush for at least a second or two at a time, and inevitably, someone will be looking at you at almost all times, causing your charge to build constantly, if not incredibly quickly, especially if they use Dead Hard the proper way.

Kind of the idea was to make him a reverse Meyers.

Survivors give him strength by having him visible on-screen AT ALL, rather than having to stalk Survivors, and where Meyers can snowball big time with his power, the Attraction would be limited to bum-rushing a Survivor and knocking them on their butt.

  • @TMCalypso said:

Seems interesting for a power, but wouldn't survivors be able to deny him his power by simply looking away immediately, then running? Also, it seems to work a lot like Myer's power. I like the undetectable status effect for him though.

  • So, I've seen a few people on board mentioning that they are unsure what Sptingtrap's Power would be...

    I had an... Idea.

    SHOWTIME:

"Drawing power from being the center of attention, the Attraction grows stronger the more attention his actions garner."

Function- The Attraction has three tiers of his power: Inert, Active, and Overcharged, each with a distinctive effect.

While the Attraction is in his Inert state, his movement speed is greatly reduced, on par with Evil Within 1. However, he has the Undetectable status during this state, unless Overcharged.

By being seen on any Survivor's screen, Showtime builds up power, bringing the Attraction from his Inert state to his Active state over the span of a second or so.

While in his Active state, the Attraction moves at regular speed, loses the Ubdetectable status, and builds up a secondary gauge for use in his Overcharged state.

By pressing [Right Click], the Attraction may expend his secondary resource to become Overcharged, granting him a massive speed boost and the ability to instantly put Survivors into the Dying state. Survivors downed this way immediately drains the Overcharge state of all energy, and drops the Attraction to the Inert state.

While not being actively observed, the Attraction goes from his Active state to his Inactive state over the span of a few seconds.

Just, something to consider for those who care.

  • Insidious Bubba is a meme at this point.

Bubba is such a powerful chaser that playing him defensively is silly at best, game-throwing at worst.

  • That hit her because the hitboxes on the hatchet and her actual character lined up.

    Not because of latency.

Survivors lean way forward when injured, making them seem way shorter than their hitboxes actually are.

This was the reason a Huntress, back in the day, could hit you over the top of a generator if you were working on it.

  • You could easily consider hackers to be unicorns in this game.

They're about as rare as one when they're obvious.

Did you read the title and gasp like I did?

    Please don't stop running ds!

Just last game I had to ACTUALLY save the obsession for last because nobody would ds me.

It's a very small niche of people who can pull off the Obsession Stick Pass on a regular basis, but if you're running STBFL or Dying Light, it can be a lifesaver.

    Every stack counts, don't it?

  • @keygun said:

I run Save the best for Last.

I actively will try to eat ds in order to switch obsession.

Keeping them stacks on basic attacks will win me the game.

Bring ds, and use it, it helps me.

    - the killer

    This. Right here.

I run Dying Light and STBFL often, so passing around the Obsession Stick actively helps me a TON, especially when the cocky Survivor who realized in the earlygame that they had immunity, suddenly loses that immunity, and that I'm actually going to wreck their whole day.

  • Though DS does next to nothing to dissuade a tunneler who is dead-set on you, and probably only aggrivates them further, as it currently stands, it is far too powerful in cases where it ISN'T applicable to be a good idea for giving a buff to.

If they gave it some nerfs to make it work better on tunnelers/campers, and buffed THAT aspect of it, I would be 500% on board with your idea.

I've beaten omega blink nurses who had ebony mories. Doesn't mean that it's not OP combo. I would like to see DS reworked such a way that it de-activates if you go repair a generator OR make timer move 2-3x faster so your DS would last 20-30 seconds if you repair gens. I would still keep your ability to jump into a locker if killer is proxy camping basement so you can jump into locker without risk killer slugging you while you are in the basement

I think it should deactivate period, should you participate in anything productive, being healing, generators, unhooking, or anything else requiring a bar to fill, save for Killer Powers.

However, one exception I can live with is hiding in BASEMENT lockers and unhooking while in the Basement.

    Edit: Spelling.

If you die on first hook, and its not noed at end game.

Your teammates are incredibly selfish and lack the situational awareness to be a top player in this game.

Even us killer's feel bad watching some poor bastard die on first hook.

    Amen.

The poor bastard who dies on first hook because I end up proxy-camping after seeing like, 3 scritchy-scratchies on a tree 10 feet to my right, but see no Survivor, gets my condolences.

  • Okay, so in regards to the theorized Wraith change, coming from an on-and-off Wraith Main:

True invisibility would be absolutely fantastic for Wraith. He already is noisy as hell while cloaked, and also tangible, so why does he also have this obnoxious shimmer about him?

Give him this, a slightly reduced decloak time/an improvement to decloak addons, and Green Windstorm base, and Wraith would actually be pretty damn good.

Of course, you'd have to rework the Windstorm addons as a whole, but still.

  • I would just like to mention that matchmaking in this game has pretty much universally been screwy since day 1.

Not that your feelings are invalid, but this is a WIDELY-known issue.

  • Power Struggle is going to be massively, ridiculously strong when paired with Flip-Flop, if the "bug" that you can't immediately drop a pallet after being picked up is actually a bug and it gets fixed.

Slugging will become the new meta simply because Survivors will camp out under pallets all match at 99 waiting to Flip-Flop you like they do with DS now.

Imagine playing BBQ for the bp /s.

(But yeah, now is the time to try and make spies work)

What are you talking about? I run BBQ for the insane aura reading potential you get by doing your job as Killer.

What are these "Points of Blood" you're talking about?

  • @Iceyrawr said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1791882#Comment_1791882

nope, only 10,000 for yesterday and everyday in this week.

You get 60,000 blood points in total for logging in 6days a week, to level up one extra bloodweb.

    Ah...

So they basically are giving out just marginally more than a round where the Entity is peeved at you because the Survivors genrushed and you couldn't get anything done.

  • Didn't they give out 1,000 yesterday?

Maybe this is a sign that they're adding a 0 each day for the week?

  • Hello, local Wraith Main turned Blight Main turned Wraith Main, here.

First thing's first, if you think Wraith is "a pretty good Killer", Wraith is notoriously add-on dependant in order to do well without camping hooks or anything.

    Now, onto my point.

Wraith's general gameplay loop is about using his speed more than anything to get in Survivors' way and waste their time in a chase so he can secure hits.

If you're in a race with a cloaked Wraith, and he's using plenty of Windstorms to fly past you, it's a pretty good option to change your course and head for somewhere different, as he's likely gonna slide his sexy butt into the doorway you're about to use and block you there and then. It takes him several seconds to decloak, so there's no way he can catch you by surprise if he's going for the ol' roadblock strat.

  • The main problem with Nurse these days, bugs aside, is the wait time before you can Blink twice.

Blinking once usually gives you your second charge right as you come out of her gasping phase, but blinking twice makes it take MUCH longer to get your first charge back, for no reason I can tell.

I haven't had many bugs with Nurse, but quality-of-life changes would be appreciated.

  • @SaltyNooty said:

No offense but the moment you said "I want my 4K." Your argument kinda went null. This whole thing is countered by the pink Mori which killer seemed to have an abundance of.

Get over yourself, if you don't like the hatch then dont play. You already know the game isn't balanced and it probably never will be. Killers are already pampered enough, this is more then enough for them. Especially with the twins, you guys already have your stuff.

So what if they escape if they've hardly done any generators, that simply means one of two things. You're that good of a killer to the point where you can apply crazy pressure; or the survivors made dumb plays, or were too over altruistic to the point they gen 3 themselves or worse.

The only case and point I agree with you with is Key + early hatch considering I just got out a match and I just did that taking 2 other people with me. There's nothing you can do about that, you'll win some and you'll lose some. All you can do is grow from the experience. Take your losses and reflect on it, see what you can do better; pay attentions to offerings, they DO matter, devise a better strategy, start from scratch. Suck it up and don't be such a delicate flower. Sorry to but harsh but this just me being blunt.

Okay, you said his argument was invalid at "I want my 4k", but I read "This is more than enough for them, especially with the Twins", and my mind immediately went:

"Oh, yes, because a buggy, unfinished, unfun, and borderline unplayable Killer is pampering Killer Mains."

Talk about us vs them issues.

  • The Killers are supposed to be the "bad guys" in a horror movie or game.

Do you prefer to clench your butt cheeks and get your hopes high when Mary McGuffin nearly escapes after her friends get murdered, or do you prefer it when everyone dies because Mike Meyers decided that giving everyone a chance to escape was for pussies?

we might just be playing him differently. i take ghost and a clapper and i uncloak around the corner and use my speed boost to get a grab/hit and i almost never get light burned with this play style

I'm not saying I get Lightburned very often, but they DO try, and it occasionally DOES happen, even with Coxcombed Clapper and corner strats.
