You're undercover and you get hit by a hit hatchet even though you are in the shack because your shadow tends to have a hitbox and get hard patrolled by someone who thinks they are god for learning huntress but camps with 1hko hatchets. On the flip side, missing hits that are clear on character models suck. Same for the spirit's sword which seems to be longer than her hit box from the killer point of view so I view it as she has a knife in her hand or it's a freddy glove.

They didn't think it was op, but you could aim behind survivors and hit them even when they are behind cover, the hit boxes are wonkey and will take some time.Mister_Holdout said:I don't really like Huntress and even I think she got screwed.

Surveillance just needs to have no time limit, the 16 seconds is bad. The skillcheck thing can be weird since everyone has skill check chance and skill check collide

If there's collision, if not she had some easier unfair hits. Points is there needs to be a middle ground, having a hitbox too big leads to unfairness too.Zarathos said:

Am I the only one who can't see what I wrote? Basically, if you don't go down in 15 seconds and keep killer busy long enough for team to recover you will end the slug as the killer will hook you, the strongest chaser needs to die or will kill the multiple man slug.

Thanks for the update @Janick. I love the new chapter, really great work but the ptb was underwhelming. For the clown we had ptb a and ptb b to test changes before official launch. The spirit patches seemed tacky and disorganized, couldn't test a lot of things that did change and also makes so she couldn't get the possible buffs upon release like the clown. Maybe devs are hesitant because she is invisible and we know how some of my fellow survivors reviewed and set invisible man the nightmare into an early grave. Her white noise being so loud means terror radius or not, she's louder than a generator near completion which means they will crouch away as they know you can't see footprints. Then, they will run when you see them due to long cool down right now she seems good with bloody hair brooch and yakuyoke amulet for psuedo blinks as she cannot sneak on survivors unless they aren't paying attention to the loud woosh. Survivors having more tools to track her due to her power is a steep safety cap that makes her too safe but she has great potential still. Thank you janick for keeping us posted even during the ptb. Much appreciated!

I mean now the box is too small. Wasn't an intended nerf, relax and let them figure it out. Huntress isn't getting nerfed forever, wasn't intended to be a nerf, calm down guys, not the end of the world. People would exploit the old one and get miss hits on the instadown hatchets which was an issue. Devs just doing their best.
-
People crying over this, the previous boxes allowed her to hit survivors without hitting them because they had a large hurtbox, not the box is yoo small. Hurtboxes are simple shapes so you have the bs hits where they hit you when the hatchet misses your body or goes behind you and now they have bs misses, probably something in the middle can be reached.Megaris said:PATCH NOTES 2.2.0 was edited as this.

Any killer in the right hands can be good. If there is a killer that requires you to be this precise and dedicated to being mediocre at best, then the killer should be as good as nurse. If people want to see other killers played besides nurse and billy, they need to quit saying stuff like "Freddy is fine" because that's how you keep garbage killers as garbage. Also @Zarathos it isn't bad the dream power with a photo, maybe not exposed, he is an end game slugging killer and that isn't bad, no immediate power needed. Would be good to see survivors have a 1-2% movement speed penalty for each survivor asleep would be enough. With class photo it keeps a 2-4% debuff on all survivors. Most slashers use stealth, strategic advantage (traps, location awareness), or supernatural abilities to confirm kills. Not base run speed. DBD should replicate this.
It feels like crap as a survivor to die to a killer because they're impossible to run away from. All the juking and stuns in the world can be caught up to. Maps are either way too open or way too closed. Scratch marks from running are too easy to follow, but how else do you get away? Being chased forever isn't scary. It's annoying.
On the flip side, it feels like crap to be stuck in a loop as a killer. Survivors shouldn't have to resort to stalling, ping, or bugs to get away. It should be rewarding as the killer to down a survivor, rather than easy. It should be terrifying to encounter the killer as a survivor, not damning.
Nerf killer base run speeds, remove loops, remove some more pallets, reduce terror radii, etc. Heck, even buff killer abilities. The point is, at the start of the match with zero perks, no killer should be able to outrun a survivor.

Do they want her to be a mindgame Killer who uses (or pretends to use) her power mid-chase to trick Survivors? If so:
- Her ability needs to activate more quickly.
- She needs to move more quickly (115%).
Do they want her to be a stealth Killer who can interrupt Survivors? If so:
- Her power should not have any cues (audio, visual, or otherwise) except a medium-range (40m) audio cue to indicate that she has begun to use it.
Do they want her to be able to cut off Survivors through the use of her power during chases? If so:
- She needs to be able to see Survivors while she's using her power.
Right now I'm not sure what the devs want her to be able to do, but it seems to be some combination of the three. This simply won't do with her current kit.

These changes would justify her being 110% MS and she would be quite viable although still difficult to play. She wouldn't quite be on the level of Nurse, Billy, Hag, but with plenty of skill, she'll be a nightmare. As she is now she's passable, barely. -

Honestly, I don't know where to begin with you. Rancor is subjectively a bad perk, let me explain why.
For the majority of the trial, Rancor will do almost nothing to help the killer. It's survivor aura effect is ripped straight off of Bitter Murmer which tracks better. The only difference is Rancor effects people even when they weren't on the generator for a much shorter time. It's main redeeming quality is how it exposes the obsession and let's you Mori them. However, this is not flawless. You can only kill the Obsession if they are still alive and you can find them. Assuming that you can't find them you essentially wasted a perk slot. Furthermore, if you are killing the obsession all remaining survivors are escaping. It should be noted being exposed doesn't mean jack if you can't hit them, as the instakill only applies to melee attacks. Finally Spine Chill can reveal your intent and give just the speed needed to get out the door.

She has a 45 meter humming that makes her very easy to spot and counter, we also know the rewards of doing a good snipe or prefiring with succes at some gap of a loop/structure.
High ranks are filled of Nurses and billys, which are by difference the best killers on the game. With this patch you have nerfed Huntress, again. But this time, you have severely damaged her hitboxes without even trying it on the PTB. I have more than 1000 hours played only with huntress and i tell you, now is much worse. I even had hatchets that went through the survivor's body without hitting. Sniping now is, well, fishy, it's not viable...
I don't know who is in charge of the balance changes, I don't know if he only is able to run straight forward when being chased by a huntress, but really, there are plently of options to loop her, she is not hard to play against, even if the huntress is good.
Now she is, really, without doubt, considerably worse than before. I feel like quitting this game, i have put a lot of people on dbd, but never more. I Will not add more of my videos and my content. I'm not putting more effort on your game more. I'm not joining the nurse/Billy meta and i don't want to play something that used to be decent to become frustrated. You are just lowering a killer that was already pretty much counterable.Im just amased of how low knowledge about the game have the department that works on the balance. Are they aware of the nurse-Billy meta? They know Huntress only have her hatchets since she is slow and have a 45 meter humming?
Adding this changes you are not improving the experience of the survivor friends playerbase, being that your biggest source of new players to the game. Now there are going to be more billys, and more nurses, worse experience for everyone. Unbelievable. This is my profile.

Seeing he stops vaults and saves, doesn't need faster charge. Maybe take off the slowdown from charging. The doc doesn't really need buffs since he has a complete kit and just isn't gonna be as good without being made broken. Same for wraith, some powers are simple so can't be made better without making the character broken. Not all characters are gonna be competitive just due to how their powers work, same for all games that have characters that work differently. ?....No, really. After game chat is the worst. I want to say "gg" if I had a good time, but the most random comments can escalate people so quickly. It's like they're touchy as f*** and super on edge.
I stopped playing killer because I was tired of being harassed and now the other survivors are harassing me when I play survivor lol. Several times now in games, certain survivors have gotten angry that I am doing generators and not running around in the middle for who the f*** knows what reason, so I can die and they can hook farm me I would guess. They run up to me and point in the direction they want me to go and if I don't listen, they will jump around me and create loud noise notifications and try to run the killer into me.
The community in general just really needs to be cleaned up; the extreme negativity, sandbagging, name calling, threats, attempted harassment through other platforms, and general anger and angst all need to stop. I don't know how to go about fixing it, but all I can say is I hope the new reporting system helps and that the devs crack down on it.

However as a Killer who tries to play "Fair" if a game is taking too long and I simply cant find the last survivor, or no one is healing the guy I left down I will generally secure them on a hook for points, as well as to give them a chance of being rescued. Skill check is about not messing up, and when stitching yourself up yeh there is prob gonna be an a mess up in realife. If sleepy or asleep skill check chance could go up as people aren't alert when tired. Maybe not waking up from a selfcare skill check instead, no killer picks up survivors being healed because one loading action cancels another, like someone can't rescue when someone else is in the middle of the animation of getting pulled off from a failed hook save. Negating any action is much, maybe make it more like madness where you can hook save but do no other channeling action.Wolf74 said:Most needed Freddy "buffs".
I put buff in "..." , because I think these are things that should have been that way from the get go.
1. The ability to pick up downed survivor while they get healed (from awake survivor).
2. Exclude awake survivor from hitdetection. No more shielding from awake survivor.
3. His dream pull should be an interrupt and negate the ability to resume any action for a short amount of time and even after that time expired the transition should already sport a 25% actionspeed debuff.
4. Overall the chance to trigger skillchecks in the dreamworld should be reduced. And Self Care skillchecks should be even more rare, because even in dire need the human psyche is reluctant to self injury. -
The aura reveal for rancor is like someone screaming from madness, stationary

Due to mechanics, killers have little control of gen speeds without slugging. Give killers a reliable way to slow it down that isn't a hex or dying light. Survivors have to be forced to mit just do gens and that is slugging, hooking one by one is more punishing to the killer in terms of time. Time is on the survivors side, the killer who should be the one stronger party, struggles. I loop a killer for two gens and he sees another person nearby after I go down. If I'm hooked they lose a victim and that person is on a gen, continuing the countdown to the games end. The more survivors that are up, the weaker the killer side is. If you do the math of average chase time, gen completion time, hooking time, etc you'll see survivors have it well.pemberley said:I believe that slugging should be a valid tactic, but I just had a game with an unsportsmanlike Spirit who refused to hook, and even purposely let survivors bleed out. This makes the sound global. Great for just annoying the crap out of survivors that pissed you off ^_^
Does that make it global though? Yes, you can't discern the distance, but I thought it was (without the clapper) getting quieter the more you were away from it. However, my first sentence still stands.
Only way to make the distance ambiguous it has to be global. Anything that isn't unlimited in range is quieter the further you are until you can't hear it.
I think you’re correct, but I’m wondering if they meant that the radius would be the same but the volume for the bell is the same at the edge as it would be by the source. So I think they were considering not being able to track if you’re almost out of range or if you’re right next to him. It would cause you to panic possibly and run in a direction that might be towards the killer.

It's 50 now, was 80 in ptb. Ther perk alone could be run to be stupidly quick, their cube which was proposed is to make healing longer, survivors have only two objectives, by making forced objectives like healing take too little time killers dont benefit. Autodidact is more consistent in some ways than we will make it, it destroys end game slugs. Autodidact dying to healthy is under ten seconds. Gotta think about it in terms of that when it was 80%. Wayy to quick at 80%. Auto at 80% is strong cause you didnt need a build around it, like selfcare. It would've been splashable.xmenfanatic said:@Dabrownman1812 said:

They did it to prevent it from being another instaheal. That and spinechill makes it like an instaheal. Now, imagine 4 survivors with it. All perks must be made with the fact that survivors can run 4 of them, also unnerving increases chances and that is common so giving peeps instaheals.
well at least make a increase the chance of skillcheck
Once again, increased chances makes it an instaheal if kept at 80%. With increased chance from spine chill or unnerving, it occurs close 20% often, the 80% makes it quick. 3 second heals.
Is lower then 80%, I think they reduced it to 50%, and instead of starting off with a 20% penalty, you get a 25% penalty?
I think it’s well balanced though, and feel it was gonna be a meta perk with Botany, Spine Chill and We’ll Make It.
You’d be the perfect run in there, heal them, and get out before the killer even shows up type character. I man Empathy, Borrowed Time and Deliverance could all be paired with this for being an “emergency medic” class.
