Yeh, removing aggro and resetting chases prevents the hag from getting downs so hags tend to ignore random traps unless they need the mix up for pressure.Zarathos said:@Eveline said:

I'm not even good myself but running into hag's traps is something you shouldn't do without appearent reason. Common sense.Crouching everywhere losses you precious time if the games going south you gotta push for gens and take some risks.A savvy player if they encounter a large number of hags will bring a map with yellow twine as it can be used to track the hags traps. Also removing hag traps and taking aggro maybe the goal of other survivors.
-
New and if, spelled them wrong lol
-
Yeh, it all depends, hag cant be everywhere or teleport to too many traps or people will just self care, the hag has to take some Ls. Whenever the hag leaves a trap due to slower movement speed she loses chase advantage, if there's a secure find she will chase one at a time unless it's a hew hag. Cause of she warps it's two more hits and the original person who was hurt gets away. Places like the shack and loops must be clear for trapper traps or hag traps or team will be punished, trapping killers are stronger with more active traps.Eveline said:Its too risky against the good hag unless you want to save someone. I think. -
Yeh, it's a risk. I personally run into traps when killer is in chase to kill the hags map pressure.Eveline said:The problem was that he lured the killer to our location instantly. Hag was miles away. -

Accidentally copied twice. It depends, sometimes you should run into hag traps cause they give her strength in a chase, gotta pop them because in a chase you can't crouch. Rather pop them at times then pop in a chase.Eveline said:Yeah I know but still...

Bad design, I play plenty survivor and whem it goes off it gets one kill normally, noed was designed to not have a prior notification as it was before it was a hex. The goal is to one shot, not to slow it down. Survivors cleanse totems anyway, some just genrush, others wait for noed and pop it asap cause they memorized where totems are. No need for noed nerf. Adding notification that an easily nullified perk should be nullified sucks, waste of a perk slot. Also it doesn't pay up. Also yes, not doing gens are good but if you do the math, it's not truly beneficial since most survivor games in high rank survivors cleanse totems anyway. Make a new objective like a switch to start gens or something, forcing the death of noed is idk, counter productive.thesuicidefox said:@MisterCremaster said:
Most survivors just cleans all totems anyway. If they have a good map they know where they are all too. Survivors shouldn't know about NOED until the end. It's an end game perk that already rarely fires. Not sure how much survivor you actually play, but NOED proc is quite common. Survivors don't do all the totems, there will always be a few left on the map when the gates power. But the goal of the perk isn't necessarily to get a one shot, the real goal of the perk is to slow the game down by forcing survivors to do totems. If I see NOED is in play I will take time during the game, BEFORE the gates power to do totems. That means I'm not doing gens. That's of more value to you as killer than a one shot at the end of the game, when survivors have the highest chance to survive. It's very rare to get multiple people with NOED anyway. In most cases, the killer gets 1 guy, puts them on a hook, and the rest either flat out leave or run around looking for the totem before they even ATTEMPT a save, or the guy dies and they all just leave.
The idea is to turn totems into a secondary objective even if the killer doesn't have a totem perk. If a survivor takes 15 seconds to clean a dull totem, just to check, that's a minute between all the survivors.

Nothing is gauranteed for killer perks. So that's exaggeration guy lol. No killers have gauranteed anything especially since rancor shows obsession the killer to stealth. Don't be that guy and go straight to an exit gate, or go straight to one gate and turn for the next after 5 seconds like you would bbq. Guaranteed is a word most of my survivors use as exaggeration, many times I know of survivors who dodged rancor. Why? Cause it has much counterplay.akbays35 said:@Dabrownman1812 said:

Haunted Ground is op I'm just glad other killers haven't learned the perk yet, it will be ridiculous on characters like Huntress and Nurse. They already are on hex perks and gonna fix them. There are some bad spawns, on a hill, next to gen, rip.
The question is, even after they change hex spawns and the way hex's look to make them less "COMPLETELY OBVIOUS" will it actually help or change anything? Will people still be willing to run risky hex's or will it be the same where hex builds are just not viable. I don't see why they don't just give hexe's a respawn timer the way trappers traps respawn after 3 minutes. Come up with something like that and you could combo hexe's then with stuff like hangmans and reduce the respawn by 60 seconds. The hex's don't even have to respawn with full tokens either. But deading them the entire match makes most hex's pretty much useless to run. On top of hangmans <----- nobody bothers with sabo so this perk is pretty dead for everyone except trapper.

David kings perk is supposed to be hard mode, too many people expect compensation. No compensation, it is for people who found surviving too easy. Dead hard is there to compliment dead hard.No_Mither_No_Problem said:So, my friends and I had a discussion about how very few of DBD's Perks actually "ecourage" or "reward" certain playstyles.
For example, David's Perks talk about rewarding high-risk play, but the truth is, they absolutely do not. They either don't involve risky play at all (WGLF, Dead Hard), or force it upon you with no compensation.
"Altruistic" Perks don't actually reward you for helping your teammates—they only make it slightly easier or, in the cases of BT and WGLF, encourage farming instead of altruism.
Laurie's Perks are supposed to "grant her powerful abilities at the cost of leaving her exposed". The only one that does this "well" is Object of Obsession, and it sucks. A lot.
I think you get the idea. So myself and one friend made a series of Perks that openly encourage and reward certain playstyles, either through giving you buffs and points for playing this way or punishing you for not. I figured it'd be nice to get some feedback on these Perks.
Selfish Perks
A majority of the people in the discussions felt that the endless buddy-buddy working of Survivors is what led to a lot of problems like genrushing and easy unhooks. They assert DBD is a game where your trust of the strangers around you is always shaky—you have a common goal, but they aren't your friends, nor are they your teammates, and you shouldn't treat them as such because they may not do the same for you. As such, one member of the discussion created a set of Perks designed around playing selfishly—rewarding you for screwing over other Survivors. These are the unique Perks of his murderous Survivor character, Zraxan Axak.
Nothing Personal
You matter, and you're the only person you need to watch out for. Action speeds decreased by 20/15/10% when it is a coop action. Action speeds are increased by 6/8/12% while you are working alone.
Unique to Zraxan Axak until Level 30, where it becomes a teachable.
"There's only one person I ever cared about, and you're not them, kid." ~ Zraxan AxakKiller Within
A little blood on your hands is always exhilarating. After successfully escaping a chase, survivors within a 16/24/32 meter radius of the killer will be revealed to them for 3/4/5 seconds.
Unique to Zraxan Axak until Level 35, where it becomes a teachable.
"The first wasn't easy, but the second was pure bliss." ~ Zraxan AxakYour Own Priority
Narcissism runs through your blood. You suffer from the Vengeful status effect. All other Survivors are notified of this at the start of the trial. While you are still alive, all Survivors recover from all status effects 30/40.50% faster. When you are sacrificed or killed, all Survivors remaining in the trial suffer from the Broken status effect for thirty seconds when entering the injured state and recover from all status effects 10% slower.
Unique to Zraxan Axak until Level 40, where it becomes a teachable.
"My sister's not home, but why don't I let you in?" ~ Zraxan AxakSelfless Perks
These are the Perks I designed for my codependent Survivor character, Chtepil Kluexatik. I designed these Perks to be high-risk high-reward, punishing you for even the slightest selfish decision and in return giving you strong bonuses for helping your teammates.
Selfless
You live for others. When taking a hit for another Survivor, the Killer is forced to face you for 3/4/5 seconds and can see your Aura for as long as they are locked on to you. For every Survivor you heal out of the dying state or "unhook heal" gain a token up to a maximum of 5 tokens. Each token increases your repair, heal, sabotage, vaulting, dying recovery, exit opening, and cleansing speed by 1/1.5/2%.
"Sure, I could let others die to save myself. But the blood on my hands would be hard to clean off." -Chtepil KluexatikWatch Over Me
Nobody here is out of the woods yet; your job isn't done. For every Survivor still alive in the trial when you escape, you lose 1000 Bloodpoints. For every Survivor that escapes before you, gain 1250/1500/2000 bonus Bloodpoints.
"I'm not letting you die." -Chtepil KluexatikStrength in Numbers
No man is an island; every man's death diminishes you. For every injured, dying or hooked Survivor gain a token.
1 token: Repair speed decreased by 5%.
2 tokens: Movement speed when not in a chase decreased by 5%.
3 tokens: You suffer from the Exposed status effect. When all three other Survivors are healthy/injured with No Mither, the security of knowing your team is safe gives you unexpected energy. Gain the following bonuses:
Tier 1: no bonus/no bonus/all action speeds minus repair speeds are increased by 10%.
Tier 2: no bonus/gain a 10 second Enduring timer when healed out of the dying state/all action speeds minus repair speeds are increased by 15%.
Tier 3: grants immunity to the Cursed status effect/gain a 10 second Enduring timer when healed out of the dying state/all action speeds minus repair speeds are increased by 20%.Stealth Perks
These Perks I designed to reward you for being stealthy—stealthy, not “immersed”. Immersion is genuinely more infuriating than getting looped. These Perks are tied to my fictional Survivor character, Vitaliy Mikhailev.
Quick Getaway
It's better to run to safety than to try and stay safe. For every five seconds you are within the Killer's Terror Radius and not in a chase, gain 1 token up to a maximum of 2/3/4 tokens. Each token gives you a haste status effect of 2%. When entering a chase or when in the Killer's Terror Radius and not moving, you lose one token every two seconds. Tokens are preserved but not activated when outside of the Killer’s Terror Radius.
"Davai, koresh! He can't see us!" -Vitaliy MikhailevSweet Freedom
Get away before they come back! Upon freeing yourself or being freed from a bear trap, reverse bear trap, or hook, break into a sprint at 150% of your normal running speed for 3 seconds if you are freed within the Killer's Terror Radius or enter it within 3/5/7 seconds of being freed.
Sweet Freedom ignores Exhaustion.
Causes Exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds.
”We're not out of the woods yet—literally." -Vitaliy MikhailevOne With Nature
You know how to blend in with your surroundings. For every ten seconds you are within the Killer's Terror Radius and not in a chase, gain a token up to a maximum of 2/3/4 tokens. When One With Nature has at least one token, when the Killer attempts to read your aura, they will be unable to. Each time One With Nature blocks the Killer's aura reading abilities, one token is consumed.
"I don't need a locker to hide in plain sight." -Vitaliy Mikhailev
The action speeds thing is cool but gens being done too quick is already an issue and devs are trynna help slow the game down for the killer at your nothing personal perk. Same thing for healing and getting tokens for repair, more perks that makes gens get done fast or too many of them can be abused easily by swf perks should be made with that in mind.
The free sprint is interesting and ignoring exhaustion is powerful, gotta see how it plays out. It sounds interesting, has many chances to trigger unlike adrenaline so idk how it will effect the meta or balance of the game in practice. Interesting perks for stealth. Some perks are super abusable and can be an issue. If the vengeful perk stacks that's an issue as less than 30 seconds to charge exhaustion perks are gonna create infinites. Be cool for more details on how these perks work.
One with nature loses 1 token per aura reading right?. -
Good idea, unbanced since one person gives all survivors the "vision" even if not location, still a lot of info. Maybe it works just for the survivor and the range changes like bond or empathy with tiers.βLAKE said:A perk that allows the user and other survivors know when another fellow survivor is being chased (through the portrait) similar how we can see when the obsession is being chased. The perk tiers can differentiate by changing the number of survivors who gain this effect for example two survivors (including yourself), three survivors (including yourself) and then tier 3 can allow all four survivors gain this perk ability.

Also, rancor is counterable, things that can be countered without perks aren't broken. Any base survivor can counter rancor as long as they know game mechanics.Zarathos said:
Ok here we go again alright boys and girls gather round were gonna have the talk. Ds is fundamentally broken and promotes hugely negative playstyles. In dbd a killers needs to hooks 4 survivours 3 times each and prevent 5 gens and an exit gate from being opened.BigKrazyKag said:@Spicybarbecue said:
@BigKrazyKag said:
I think it should only give the exposed effect on the obsession and not the ability to kill. I just did 3 and a half gens by myself and ended up being killed simply because I was the obsession. Makes me not want to use decisive strike simply to avoid it.so it's unfair because it gives a free kill but decisive is fine which gets you off the killers shoulder for free. at least the killer has to find you and down you to get the rancor reward where as you get the ds reward from being bad
First off you only get to use DS once per game and you can miss. Secondly it doesn't mean you will live and rancor gives the killer an immediate kill as long as you can find the obsession and down them. There is a very big difference between them. Also using ds doesn't make you bad. I've seen youtubers such as Monto using DS and they're excellent survivors. If you're just mad that some one hopped off of your back then say so but don't insult someone's skill level simply for using ds. It's not like you can keep getting away for free the entire trial. I've had people hop off of my back and got them right back up there in a matter of seconds. It's not like a flash light where people can shine it in the killers face to free some one as long as some one still has battery left. It's a one time deal and it doesn't grant you immediate escape. Obviously ds has nothing to do with Rancor and the two though both crutch perks are not really comparable.
This is fine in lower ranks but in high ranks your ability to win is dictated by how long ruin stays up and how crazy powerful your addons are vs how crazy add ons your against i.e. Toolboxes insta med kits etc. Ds in the hands of competent teams gives the surviour a second chance. The requirements is merely hitting a skill check the killer has very limited options to respond to this no timed attack to counter it and a reactivated chase which must be ended to get badly needed hook presure.
In a 4 man team of ds its devastating as each second your stunned a gens getting more time done every second that newly activated chase is losing you the game. No perk even compares to ds. No killer or survivour perk even matches its absurd power. Worst yet ds promotes and encourages killers tunneling survivors if they are hit by a non obssesion ds survivour as their is a chance other survivours will have it. That one use perk can be the difference between finishing a gen or getting a kill and i encourage you to play killer to at least rank 5 to see how devastating this perk can be against killers.
Also monto builds are not balanced they wouldnt be entertaining if they were. His builds are wacky often crazy powerful bordering uncounterable. For example his toxic nurse vid with an ebony mori is not balanced in the slightest. His unhook this hag build has no way of saving a hooked survivour with the hag. Making the minute they hit the hook gg. I like montos content because its entertaining but his builds are entertaining ign because they massively exploit the games inbalances.
Rancour exists due to massive inbalance. Survivours gets a second chance killers get a free killl remeber killer is suppose to be the power role. -

I don't think so, I think purchase only gets splinters. Not sure on that.

Anything else is a buff, sprint burst isnt an issue since the exhaustion change. It doesn't stop recoil from falls, dodging a hit on red stain means someone can go through a long chase and get sprint burst midchase. Not having a condition doesn't make it strong, it makes it vanilla. Dead hard is stronger, balanced landing is amazing as it creates some loops sprint burst cannot. A psuedo distance gaining dead hard is a huge buff. Most survivors run it but it isn't the best, just takes no skill or map knowledge.Salty_Pearl said:Sprint Burst is the only speed perk that doesn't require something to activate it. (Lithe requires you to be in a chase and vault, Balance Landing requires you to land from a high place, Dead Hard requires you to be injured, etc.) Obviously, we all know that it is used by almost every survivor (I've seen Neas and Fengs use it which pisses me off as Survivor and Killer.) So should it be changed? I'm thinking that maybe in order to activate it, the survivor would have to be in the red stain of the killer. That way the survivor would be able to escape and gain distance right when the killer would've hit them. Thoughts?

There is no need to nerf Billy... EVERY killer should be at Billys level of performanceDon’t think that is possible. You won’t see Wraith and Freddy on the same preformance level as Billy and Nurse. You have viable killers like Myers, Huntress, and Clown but they just don’t have as much map pressure nor will they be on the same level as the top two killers.
Apropos map pressure … have played against a Freddy with Class Photo? That's applying tons of pressure on the team. But it is a purple add on and you can't play it all the time. :P
The reason Freddy has no map pressure is the same reason why Leatherface and Myers with Dying Light get a 1K...they are natural campers and tunnelers. Now don’t get me wrong...there is nothing wrong with a little camping or tunneling but with Freddy’s perks it makes him ONLY go after the obsession trying to get those 6 Remember Me tokens. I’ve rarely seen good Freddy players for this reason alome which also makes Freddy kind of boring to play against.
Freddy and Wraith’s power do not help them in a chase which makes them extremely weak in chases, but they are excel in tracking survivors. Freddy is your average M1 killer but even weaker with little map pressure. Wraith is only a step above that.
Yes I know that not all Freddy players tunnel the obsession, it’s just what I’ve experienced and one of the reasons why I’ve seen Freddy do so bad in rounds
Not all killers will be as viable. Buff leather how, his power is straightforward. Just needs ultra rares. Also, freddy camping is bad, he's best with class photo slugs.

Sounds like a you thing, I never said it wasn't the spirit so that comment has no purpose. Wasn't debating who it was. You said the collision was a little much and I'm saying it's fine. The couch thing could've happened, but never happens unless the survivor inputs that.OrionQc24 said:

Anyways my point isn't to debate her body collision really but mostly the crouching thing bc that's what [BAD WORD] up my sprint burst.Dabrownman1812 said:
I don't think that was the spirits doing, doesn't force squats. Also no one else has two bodies besides hag to do so. And nah, she is fineOrionQc24 said:
I was on the hook. When my teammate unhooked me I was stopped, squatted and killed...I couldn't panic I was already dead...all I'm saying is that her spirit shouldn't bodyblock, if the husk already do. Even Freddy can't double block + damage survivors freely.Very rare to get blocked by both if you do it's kind of on you. Spirit is about mind games, don't move predictably or panic -

I'm a veteran and I use it, you never know when you will have someone on the team who drops pallets like no tomorrow and the killer will be a billy, and you need a pallet.

Most people will selfcare and not let another person get points Moreso than thatsoshidow said:I don't run SC personally but a good reason to run it is to avoid one of the more mild forms of trolling: 99ing a heal for the points, then leave you injured. It doesn't happen often fortunately, otherwise Self care would be a staple in my builds.

You can attack out of reappearance

There's a purple double moderate and green double slightly

It increasee the speed boost and how long you have the speed boost.ceridwen309 said:I am also curious about some of Rin's add-ons. What exactly will wakazashi saya do? It sounds like a negative, yet also positive. I believe it's the only add-on to affect "reapperance".
Edit:
I've noticed, normally when I do a reapperance I will "blip" 3 or so times. When I use the saya, no extra blips...just the one. I wonder If I can't attack while "blipping"? (Testing) -

I think, if you play her right with some of her perks, she currently already is a viable killer. She just requires practicing in mindgaming.
I dont think so, especially when it comes to coordination via voice comms
But there is no other killer but nurse who can go up against organized SWF on comms. Let's just take a solo survivor queueing theme that gets in the game and does not know who the killer is yet. Then you would have a good chance of getting a 4k with the Spirit.
Idk bout 4k if they aren't in comms. Hatch is quite regular.
But there will be a new solution for the hatch, so a survivor has to do more for their escape and a 4k could be gained with the Spirit.
While there’s been a need for a hatch solution for a long, long... long time now, I think @JoannaVO is right. I just got the new killer last night and my initial thought, “She is terrible”, but after adding perks, my opinion is changing.
The hatch solution I use; When there’s only 2 survivors left, I down 1 and then hunt for the other. Sometimes I have to down the first a few times, but generally the other survivor slips up somehow. A lot of times I’ll just hook the 3rd and not bother with getting the 4K, which allows for quicker games.
That were my thoughts in the beginning too.
I completely crushed some survivors and 4ked at 5 gens, but now that survivors understand how to play against her, I actually had games where I didnt get a single kill -
It's up to you, always play your best regardless. You can slack with noed, doesn't mean I will. Also even if so, bitter murmor guarantees more kills cause you track better anyway. Better tracking leads to more potential downs.
-
Also, billy isn't bad, leather has easier time downing peeps due to aoe, Billy has better map pressure and weird chainsaw hit box.
-
Not all killers will be as viable. Buff leather how, his power is straightforward. Just needs ultra rares.

Bug, never happened to me. Freddy doesnt block, survivors walk through you. Spirit isn't over kill, slower speed, rare to be blocked by her spirit walk cause she can't see people. She's fine, probably made a predictable and got blocked and attacked. There is a really loud white noise you hear when she phase walks that's louder than gens, spine chill and prem still works, grass still moves. If you run around she will find you. Just walk or crouch away and you'll be fine. She has many counters.OrionQc24 said:Today I faced a peculiar type of spirit. Apparently, both her shell and spirit bodyblock ? I've been told that so does freddy but I feel in her case, since she doesn't have to put ppl asleep to hurt them. It's a bit of an overkill, no ? Also...idk if it's a bug but when she bodyblocked me it instantly squat my character and made me lose my sprint burst...

Midchapter patch, too long recharge, and her white noise is too loud. Fix that and we will seeDeadByFlashlight said:@TheKillerApple said:

Wasn't clear if freddy was forced, he moved but he couldve felt at home. The spirit, it wasn't clear what her power was, there is hinted that there is something that runs in her family. The spirit had inheritance, not sure what. Maybe devs can answer this.LightsOut88 said:From my understanding the killers dont want to be in the fog or trials anymore than the survivors do. Maybe minus the clown or Hilbilly, because based on their bios Hillbilly is just a ruthless killer by nature it is all he knows; and the clown seemed to enjoy killing before he stumbled into the entities realm.
Lore wise Leatherface didnt like to kill, he did so out of fear that his family would be found out to be cannibals. Freddy, according to his bio had his powers changed by the entity, which I dont think he would have appreciated. Let alone the fact that he was always the type to haunt a victim and toy with them. Now the entity forces him to kill like a common slasher.
I guess the way I see it, all characters, killers and survivors alike are all sucked into the entities game and forced to play it over and over again against their will. Whether they enjoy the sport of the kill is trivial almost to the point of being irrelevant. No one who enters the entities realm has any form of choice. As far as we know... -
I guess, finding survivors easier helps you get kills before the end game however. It's like fire up, the mix of perks isn't effective enough to warrant the perk as much as one is. Rancor is good with some perks but on a general build noes or bitter murmor is better. Rancor has end game utility if you find the obsession. Rancor has more counterplay for all survivors and not useful enough without a perk combo. Just using noed grabs more hooks, just seeing auras with bitter murmor lets you find your obsession or others quicker. It also depends on the killer being used, rancor on high mobility killers like nurse isn't bad.ShooterKnight said:@Dabrownman1812 said:

BBQ, Rancor, Bitter Murmur, Ruin.
BBQ/BM to find survivors. Ruin for early game to get a lead, and Rancor for endgame to deal with DS users. It's made easier to use too by BM.
why would u use birrer murmur when rancor is a better version of this perk, i have the same perk constellation but only with stridor instead of bitter murmur
Rancor isnt bad, it gives a notification like a doctor shock. Not live aura feed like bitter murmor. And since obsession doesn't see you, less stealth plays can be made against the killer.
yes but the thing is, that rancor has more utility and there is kind of a crossover between bitter murmor and rancor, thats why i think its not that usefull to use both perks and would recomand only playing rancor
