Nah, it's not bout stats. It's about everything is out of 5, 2/5 chance haunted ground 1/5 ruin to spawn in x place. 20% chance vs 40% chance, 20% is still big. Run thrill of the hunt with mother daughter ring and flute for pulls maybe?DeadByFlashlight said:@Milo said:

I think, if you play her right with some of her perks, she currently already is a viable killer. She just requires practicing in mindgaming.I dont think so, especially when it comes to coordination via voice comms
But there is no other killer but nurse who can go up against organized SWF on comms. Let's just take a solo survivor queueing theme that gets in the game and does not know who the killer is yet. Then you would have a good chance of getting a 4k with the Spirit.

Why are these swings so long? Wouldnt they have lost momentum? how powerful can a hit be when Im on the other side of a window? Why is the killer able to hit me when facing a different direction? True to an extent, during the summer event I'd never ever camped but had a Sabo jake when I was on huntress who I don't play much doing daily. He kept trying to sabo my event hooks with me on other side of the wall on Macmillan Estates.
I kept chasing him and losing him among walls P3 and the area was perfect for him but I finally downed him and camped his arse. I let everyone else farm because event hooks are a no no and I didn't go after him doing my regular hooks.
This David kept trying to rescue him and eventually the jerk kept going back to my same event hook even after being rescued and me going after the David. So at that point I hard camped him and after he got unhooked again I went after both and the Jake rage quit when he got downed a 3rd time.
The other survivors didn't know the Jake was doing that till I told them and they agreed with what I'd been doing and thought it was pretty jerkish of him.
For me personally I'll never try and sabo an event hook and as killer if you're saboing non event hooks i'll generally let it go unless you do it right in front of me. Then of course honor and practicality demand I go after you and try and hook you.

Stridor is amazing, scratch marks a concern run predator. If you want to close the gap run bloody hair brooch for quick dashes and yakeyoke amulet the purple add on or dirty uwabakis to catch up. Yakeyoke amulet and uwabaki will get you around fast. Monitor and abuse is good on her, try using short bursts of phase walks to close a bit but doing this can best be done with bloody hair brooch. That still doesn't mean they helped you get points. I can't tell you how many times I've chosen to let 1 or 2 survivors go simply because the game ended quickly due to DCing or survivor stupidity. Yet I could count the amount of times on one hand that a survivor had that same mercy for me and let me get a kill in a match where I got destroyed.
Play as you want be it merciful or brutal that is your own choice.
I've let myself get sac'd if I've done well and the killer got destroyed because I know how that feels and I try and play honorably so to speak. Something that seems to be anathema to many on here and in game as well.
I almost always let the last person get the hatch as a killer if they didn't teabag non stop and they aren't just afking in the entire match. I can't count how many times I've been told great killer etc for actually trying to let everyone have a good game.
On games where I've 3 or 4k'd I usually get a gg or something along those lines because I go for the unhooker not the freshly unhooked person. They're wounded and will be easy prey later plus that means 2 not on gens.

Nah, it's just that so many people call them crutch. The only true crutch perk is d strike, very low risk high reward. Everything else is more on your personal feelings rather than mechanics and impact. Self care is powerful as anything that eliminates a need for a medkit and is permanent is strong. Due to game time, gen repair time, 4v1, it isn't crutch for tracking since it is easy to be stealthy, survivors have perks and 3rd person view which gives them a mechanical advantage. Killers are at a steep mechanical disadvatage and all of the snti stealth perks can be countered, but survivors can't be fully countered. Even with nurse, survivors can be diligent due to being in 3rd person. When discussing crutches, or something op or not, the advantages it gives has to be compared in order to gauge what it is.powerbats said:@Dabrownman1812 said:

I don't run Self Care, nor do I want it. Throw in Doctor who you still stand up and scream with Calm Spirit III (Doctor match at Rank 1 this am).
Then throw in the teammates that bring a killer to you either by accident or on purpose or the killer just magically comes to your location. (This despite the fact there's not a gen anywhere close to you and the gens are all blowing up on other side of map.
Take out Franklins Demise and killers lobby dodging the moment they see more than 1 or 2 medkits I'll stop running SC. I also tend to play mostly solo q but do play swf occasionally. But if I stop running SC then I bring something else and then some killers will complain about that.

I use windows because it's not about memorizing as pallets dont consistently spawn in the same spots, but also to know ahead of time if another player used the pallet. Stridor? Didn't try that on her yet, will try itStridor feels better than scratch marks to be 100% honest. The scratch marks are unreliable, and flawed, you can easily see them without the perk and it doesn't make them significantly easier to find. So its worth it to skip it and take stridor to find people that are bleeding for that second hit.
NoED is nice but doesn't actually work that great on her because she's slow as hell and her power takes forever to recharge so, good luck downing more than 1 before they hunt down the totem.
Whispers is nice on her cause again....she's slow as hell, so having to take time out to actually find people on her wastes way more time than other normal killers.
Her biggest problem is the same problem as all other normal killers, shes not pig....so she has 0 gen control. And near 0 gen pressure without some perk gimmick. So.... you're likely better off never taking off ruin+haunted ground as a base function, and you're likely going to have to pick up ranchor as your base tracking perk cause its the only one that functions while using haunt of any significance, and maybe pick up whispers or stridor based on preference obviously whispers speeding up your initial start of the fight.
And if you don't have ruin....well....you're stuck running some other sub optimal gen control perk to make up for the fact that normal killers are rushed....and rushed hard and fast. That gen rushing ######### is gonna be the death of this game I swear to god, I don't know how non pig, players deal with that #########.....

Easier to avoid the killer in third person. If killer was third person the spirit would have insane mindgames. But in first person you are the killer, it's more intimate so interesting stuff to consider.Peasant said:What I want to see is a test match in which the killer is locked in the third person while the survivors are locked in first person.
I am all for the option to play in the first person as a survivor; as part of the reason killers aren't scary is due to the fact that we fail to accurately see them. Granted we can see the proportional size differences between killer and survivor in the third person but it's not the same. What's better:
Seeing Leatherface walk towards you with the saw raised right as you pop a generator, or . . .
. . . As the clatter of pistons reaches its climax a blinding light, a beacon, fills the night sky. But your hope and peace turn to dread when just to your left the hulking figure of a man comes out of the shadows. In what seems like seconds its muscled arms block out the full moon with a chainsaw whose revving engine drowns out all other noise. Your screams fall silent to the engine's roar as the beast lurches forward cutting your body and splitting your mind with raw agony.
Personally, I'm all for 1st person survivor. After all, I think there's a reason I don't see too many other horror games where the victim is in the 3rd person for a reason.

I do believe that her white noise is too loud, hearing that over a gen almost done means she couldn't sneak on me. She came up to the gen and looked around, also spine chill works on her while she is phase walking so rip.

She sparkles on and off I believe as mid chase a spirit sparkled to me without being still.Raven_Mercer said:I have noticed that the Spirit's husk will static and sparkle when she is phasing in the spirit world. I believe that this is extremely weakening to her potential as a killer. The Spirit seems like a good mind game killer, at least in theory, able to fake her phase and lure survivors into coming near her. She could, for example, stop moving at a pallet and trick the survivor into vaulting over it, thinking she is phasing. However, since her husk statics, it gives away her plan and any mind game potential is gone. The addition of the static greatly takes away from her strength as both a jump scare killer and a mind game killer, and when combines with the fact that grass will move from her, crows will fly away, and she cant see the survivors (which I do think is fair, just listing it) and she cant read aura in the spirit realm, it stacks up against her far too much.

Once again, this is stopped by good survivors. Survivors should be recovering asap, time is against killers when you take math and mechanics into play, about 80 seconds per gen if one person is on it, gotta consider that. If a killer goes into a long chase, he will probably have to hook, once someone gets hurt and another is on thr ground, on of the two healthy should try for a save. Coordination beats slugging, you don't need to be swf to handle slugs.pemberley said:
I wasn’t using ds. I was just trying to play the game. And the Spirit would camp downed bodies at a distance only to not only knock them back down, but get their rescuer too.Zarathos said:Here a quick fix to limit being slugged. Do not use ds. If you do and we killers know you have it we will slug your ass. At one point i ran knock out primarily only to deal with these kinds of people making sure you stayed on the floor. Whilst I'd hook and pick up the rest of the survivours. Nowadays i slug but bring rancour to properly punish people who use that perk.
Something of note a killer will often switch up their tactics if the game isn't going well. So if as a team you finish 3 gens and no ones dead expect the killer to start slugging/tunneling or camping to try and eliminate a player. This is mostly because it very easy to lose a game hard if all 4 survivours are still up.
I agree that slugging is fine and fair game IF the killer plans to hook, but being forced to eat dirt a good portion of the match is boring and worse than camping. At least you can use camping to your advantage, even if it hurts you personally: stick around and buy time for your teammates or bleed out fast and move on. I never intentionally dc because dcing just ruins the fun for everyone and it’s usually a result of being a brat who can’t handle being down. So permaslugging is unfair and unkind. -

3rd check: +5% (-30% of a bar healed overall)

5th check: +35% (+25% of a bar healed overall)This makes the level 1 version of the perk really bad, as it takes 8 healing skill checks total for it to not be a net negative. It should probably either be re-worked completely or the starting penalty shouldn't be as severe.

In what slasher movie was the killer naturally faster than the "survivors," without the use of supernatural abilities? Pretty much none.
Most slashers use stealth, strategic advantage (traps, location awareness), or supernatural abilities to confirm kills. Not base run speed. DBD should replicate this.
It feels like crap as a survivor to die to a killer because they're impossible to run away from. All the juking and stuns in the world can be caught up to. Maps are either way too open or way too closed. Scratch marks from running are too easy to follow, but how else do you get away? Being chased forever isn't scary. It's annoying.
On the flip side, it feels like crap to be stuck in a loop as a killer. Survivors shouldn't have to resort to stalling, ping, or bugs to get away. It should be rewarding as the killer to down a survivor, rather than easy. It should be terrifying to encounter the killer as a survivor, not damning.
Nerf killer base run speeds, remove loops, remove some more pallets, reduce terror radii, etc. Heck, even buff killer abilities. The point is, at the start of the match with zero perks, no killer should be able to outrun a survivor.
Thoughts, my killer mains?

Devs are aware and posts like these are just spam, there was unfair 1hko hatchet hits and now unfair misses, devs will find a middle ground which is needed with her ohko hatchets especially.jordirex said:Before talking about the ways to counter Huntress, I will argumment about the hitboxes used in an Esports game like Overwatch on which you can either see characters that are hitscan and other that use projectiles.
Hitscan means that where you shoot is where the "bullet" automatically goes, projectiles, as you can imagine, need some seconds to land on the objective.
Widowmaker is a hitscan sniper, this heroe shoots at hitboxes that are equal to the shape of the enemy character.
Hanzo is a slow/fast projectile héroe, depending on how much you charge your arrow, which uses hitboxes bigger than the shape of the character and does not need to reload. Both have the same rol on that game.Huntress is pretty much like Hanzo, you have 5 hatchets that you need to charge to shoot without crosshair at moving targets that are more difficult to hit depending on the distance and the survivor's ability to dodge them (which is not very difficult to adquire).
With the current crosshair Huntress is not viable. Mid range hatchets that are capital to be effective are now very easy to dodge, the survivor just needs to be looking behind. This killer is one of the more skilled required ones and now can be countered heavily by almost every new player even if the huntress is pretty good. Why Huntress doens't needed a nerf and actually needed a buff:
She has a directional distance Humming of 45 meters, that allows every survivor to get an alert if she is approaching to him. Huntress is a slow killer, so then if the survivor starts to run from her once she is pretty far away from him, the huntress would need to either try to shoot a mid range hatchet to hit the survivor which needs a lot of skill to be able to predict survivor's dodges at that distance (which most huntress are not allowed to do) or just get closer to be able to hit with success the survivor. Two situations on this escenario:
Situation 1:
The huntress has to get closer to be able to shoot the survivor at less than let's say 10 meters. but usually it's lower.
Since the chase starts before the actual chasing status begins the huntress doesn't charge bloodlust for the first maybe 10, 15, 20 seconds depending on the map, she loses a lot of time. Result, the huntress is countered and two gens are popped at least if she is able to actually down that survivor when she gets closer to him.Situation 2:
If we take in consideration the case on the huntress is very good and can hit with guarantees a mid range shoot, anyway she is going lose time to get closer to be able to have a clear view for the second hatchet and despite being skilled, in some maps, is just imposible to hit range hatchets because there are too many obstacles. So you are forced to procede as in situation 1. Survivors that are good dodgers complicate a lot this situation (in prepatch, now is not even considered). The current state of the hitbox completely disrupts situation 2, since mid range hatchets are now very easy to dodge, and the skill of the huntress is now not considered, just the capacity of the survivor to be able to look behind. It also complicates situation 1, since even if you get close it is pretty easy to miss hatchets, even if the survivor screw up at loops, or jumps at windows. Low charged hatchets are completely useless now, charged ones are still easy to Dodge.
And as you already may know, sometimes the hatchet even pass through the survivor's body without hitting.
In conclusion, she was a decent killer that had some flaws even in a case that the Huntress was skilled. Now she is pretty much not viable, not fun, she does not reward skill and hours put into her, because the success of the hatchets relay only if the survivor trys to Dodge them or not.In fact, most of the experienced part of the community was aware that huntress needed that humming distance to be reduced to at least 40 meters. After this nerf she is not viable anymore.
I'm a huntress main that has more than 1000 hours on her. I used to be effective, but anyway when survivors just took advantage of that humming distance and the map i was still very counterable. Now, Huntress is just awful. The hitboxes prepatch were the ones that a killer like Huntress with it's characteristics needed. Using only "the shape" of the survivor as the hitbox is an error, not balanced considering how she works.
