bruh if you say so 😂 you crealy didnt play with this perk and are now just trying desperately to find any argument. Sry but this was the weirdest thing I have read in my life in the forums and i am here for a long time xDD
I have play with the perk. And I've seen survivors just slow vault pallets when they have nowhere else to go.
If you are constantly able to get pallet breaks with the perk, the survivors you are playing against are either not paying attention to their hud or do not know what the new perk does.

How do you want to play around dissolution? Have fun trying to run to a different loop against a Clown or Doc lol
Slow vaulting a pallet does not break it. If they can't get to another tile, they know they can still use the pallet if they slow vault.
-
Idk if I would they are amazing.
Septic Touch is not really that good. Most hit and run killers have undetectable so they don't benefit from it.
Dissolution tells the survivor the next time they vault a pallet it will break, making it not that impactful when survivors can play around it easily.
Darkness Revealed is the best perk of the set and it's still pretty bad on certain maps like Swamp.
-
I didn't think this was going to be about actual bp score at the end of the game screen.
Killer is often very frustrating with many teams able to quickly get gens done before you've gotten you first down/hook. Makes running corrupt feel mandatory rather than optional.
Then when you do win against those teams, they'll quickly dismiss your win by coming with any number of reasons why you actually suck despite killing them.
Not to mention all the second chance perks available which makes even forcing out a kill when you really need one harder than it should be.
It's simply hard to feel motivated to play killer a lot, because it quickly becomes very frustrating when your mmr is at least decent enough to be matched with good teams.
-
So you aren't losing the item(afaik). What's happening is that your loadout has set to have a specfic item so the game just equips that item afterwards (even if no item was set).
-
They probably don't see it as a problem. Prove Thyself does what it's designed to do, counteract the penalty for working on a gen with another person.

Another solution: don't be a d*ck to the killer. I have actually never been slugged for playing normal, but seen it a few times done when spectating. Most of the times they were really good, but also BMing the killer at every opportunity. Not saying that there aren't any really mean spirited killers out there, but I would recon that most normal games a killer wouldn't waste their own time just to ruin some random strangers gaming experience? At least not enough that it would be a real problem.
Just going to say, you can play like a normal player and not be going out of your way to anger the killer and they'll still find something to be upset about which can lead to being slugged for 4 minutes.
Like I was doing the achievement to escape chases by going into lockers so I brought headon, stunned the killer once with it after escaping a chase in the locker and they decided they wanted to be toxic towards me in return (in the end game chat).

Honestly I think all he needs is a small speed nerf. Being a 4.6 killer who can teleport map-wide unlimitedly is pretty wild. Onryo is 4.6 but after using a teleport, she can't use that same teleport spot for 100 seconds unless she has certain add-ons. Dredge can move back and forth over and over again with no penalty and has full speed for a killer. Even something like 4.4, like Hag has would be a bit of an equalizer. I think that's kind of part of what makes him viewed as "Onryo, but better".
He's fine at his current speed.
-
If the penalty didn't apply regardless of how you d/c'd then people would just find a way to abuse that.
Besides any emergency where you are forced out of the game and get the 5 minute penalty is not a big deal. If this is a constant issue then you should probably look into the problem on your end.
-
It would be worth it if the perk didn't just tell survivors it was active. Really defeats the point of the perk.
-
I don't see the big deal why these offerings need to be retired.
They are just bloodpoint offerings. It's not a big deal with people chose to not use them immediately.
-
If I'm playing killer during the event, I'm still playing the game to win.
It's literally day 1 of the event. It's not a big deal if you can't get all the cosmetics today.

The majority of survivor points come from escaping, escaping is like 5K xp survivors rarely get anything over 12K/15K if they don't escape
This isn't true.
Majority of points are from doing gens, being chased, and rescuing survivors. They make up a total of 24K out of the max possible 32K. And even with your example of making 15K without escaping, 5K is not more than half of 15K.
Survivor BP sucks, because they have to compete against their teammates for BP not because escaping provides majority of bp.

Sincere question: How often does a Fragrant Tuft user actually Tier 3 that fast? The whole trade off is getting to Tier 3 takes 200% more stealing to hit.
While there are ways to shorten that (like the faster stalking from the Obsession qddon), generally the only way a Shape in that situation tiers up that fast is of he catches all 4 survivors in the same place and none of them notice/get away.
It can happen, Puppers has a video where it does, but I can't imagine it's that frequent. It's more likely for Mikey to hit that tier up mid or late game.
It's not that hard when perks like corrupt intervention and dead lock exist to stall the game. Honestly Tuft the Fur would be a problem if Myers was any stronger, but Myers is left in a weird state where he has to be weak since he has some real game changing addons.

But it's not required. With how killers play, they can completely stop a survivor from getting the reward. You see they have it? Welp, time to get camped and tunneled. Good luck getting it next game ig. It's like we know killers can be scummy, but it's especially highlighted during events like these.
It's why the Snowman event will forever be superior. Killer gets the rewards by hitting the survivors in the snowmen, and the survivors get rewarded by getting hit in one. Of course there were some killers that would drag the games on AGES because they refused to hit survivors inside snowmen...but still, at least then it wasn't possible to completely refuse the survivor the reward.
There should be alternate ways for survivors to keep the rewards. Like getting the envelope and then completing a gen or healing someone. At least.
The reason why survivors have to escape is that games aren't just ruined by survivors speedrunning rewards. Killers can't really speedrun rewards, because they are forced to wait for survivors complete gens and escape which is still favorable for you if you are also going for rewards.
And the snowmen event wasn't really much better because there were killer powers that could break the snowmen without granting the reward and there were killers doing that. But they are minority compared to killers who actually play out games and not intentionally prevent survivors from getting their rewards.
The event last for a couple of weeks. You have plenty of time to escape to earn the rewards.
-
I would say most maps in the game favor survivors and the few "killer" sided maps that exist still have things that make it good for survivors whereas survivor sided maps rarely have anything good for killers.
-
Rancor isn't aura reading. It's more like a noise notification akin to infectious fight where your current location is shown when the perk procs.
-
I don't think the tvs need to passively apply condemnation. Lowering Sadakos TV teleport cd increases how frequently she applies condemnation which in turn forces survivors to have to grab tapes and turn them in.
Here iri videotape addon makes sadako threatening because her tvs are constantly active and survivors actually have some threat to being fully condemned.

it seems people didnt read my replies XD, i have never said it was toxic or that franklins was bad, it was the build of taking items, why did everyone bring flashlights up? simple they didnt read what i said, i literally said i understand and that her power shouldnt be countered. i also stated that the annoying part is the silent traps on top of it so she can trap the items. it is just annoying to be robbed of my item, i dont run any sweat perks and i rarely run items and only do it when i have a goal in mind, and then the people that cant handle items or flashlights ruin that. like really? lets be real if i can win against 4 toolboxes or 4 medkits im sure everyone else can, if i can never get blinded during save by a clicky squad im pretty sure everyone else can.
franklins to go against items is a baby thing, its for people who arent confident or just dont want to try as hard to win. knowing how survivors are and how i used to be when i started, i understand and sympathize. i really do. i never knew about flashlight saves and didnt understand why i kept dropping someone when i started, but everyone knows how to avoid it and play the game at a higher mmr, so why be lazy and just avoid it? QoL? well i mean understandable but your quality of life will surely go down when you lose out on good perks just because you A. dont wanna handle items or blinds or B you genuinely worry about those game. i am ok with it being a crutch and im ok with people running those perks, doesnt mean i cant be annoyed, me calling them babies isnt to say it as an insult but mainly to point out a lot of the killers who run it are ones who struggle. also i had a medkit i was going for my adept which sadly ive not had luck, because A. camping killers B. hook glitch that killed me in 2 hooks and C. i didnt wanna deal with an annoying hag that ive already experienced before.
so this comes back to my first point... NONE OF YOU READ ANYTHING! i go through all the insulting comments, read all of them and listen to what people say, but yet you guys make assumptions about me based off my post and OTHERS comments. My comments are there too, so why not read those and see the misunderstanding? hell yeah im being immature in game, i can be as much as it sucks for my teammates, who also wont enjoy the game, but when i want to have fun and achieve a goal ill do that, if my teammate does it id be upset but id understand because i cant insult someone for caring about their own fun, when thats what i care about. And before anyone gets upset at me more let me say this... i actually apologize to killers and survivors if they dont have fun or they feel like stuff wasnt fair, even if it was a hard match. if a killer chases me too long and they feel gens are too fast i correct them and even give them tips. im not a total immature jerk, but the fact that people instead insult me and others for our thoughts automatically instead of correcting us or discussing goes to show how people like you are actually the most immature.
so if you wanna say im in the wrong go ahead, but at least read my comments and talk to me like an adult and not a kid please, i dont want a bad time on the forums and to give people the wrong impression about me.
You keep calling Franklins something a baby killer uses but are clearly getting upset that it was used despite the fact you are saying the killer was bad.
And flashlights hard counter hags power. Hag has a very good reason to bring franklins to remove flashlights from the equation.
And if she's trapping items, that's a trap not at a loop. Meaning if you don't go back for the item she wasted a trap. You just need to learn to adapt.
Also you expect killers to cater for your fun but you are fine if a survivor does something that ruins your fun. Which is just hypocritical.
Also you literally said you are being immature and want people to treat you like an adult. That's not how you get people to treat you like an adult.
You really need to get over your own entitlement over what perks and addons killers choose to build. It's fine if you don't like playing against certain things but understand this is a pvp game and you don't have a choice what to play against. You need to learn to suck it up and move on. Play the game out and be a good sport don't just start insulting your opponent for playing the game.
-
There was an addon that did precisely this and it got changed, because no one used it.
Nurse doesn't really need a rework tho. Her power is largely fine and there's a few addon of hers that are fairly problematic while the rest are just not good.
-
The devs seem to care more about making maps look good than to be fun for both sides.
Cuz while I dislike the Haddonfield rework for the houses and that nearly every available pallet is unmindgameable the rest of the map has nothing which is technically balanced but just not fun.

Sorry, did you ever play with other people in real life? Because yes, you are partly responsible for the fun of the others, otherwise they won´t play with you anymore.
The fact that online games have a large pool of players who can´t choose not to play with you anymore doesnt make you free of that responisbility, you just choose to ignore it.
In online pvp games you are not responsible to making sure your opponent has fun. If you want dbd games where people are playing for fun, you can set up custom games.

I mean, its oblivious really something to be wortied about? Like you can just call out the killer's position if you are on a swf, and oblivious doesnt hide the red stain so you can still spot the killer in the distance.
It's not like every call out is precise information all the time. Killers can drop chase out of sight and manage to catch someone off guard before the chased survivor realizes. Being able to hear the just tr helps you reacts faster.
And plently of killers know how to hide their red stain.
There's just not really much reason to deny yourself the extra info if you can help it.

how early are you smashing vault? If your press vault key when your at the actual vault you wont go into the locker. or perhaps i just havnt ran into this situation to understand the problem
If you want a fast vault you have to press the vault a bit away from the window otherwise you get sucked into the medium vault which can get you hit.
Depending on how close the locker is to the window it can be a very small window to secure the fast vault or get stuck into medium vault.

oh well sorry that uh you dont realize their is a build just for hag to mess with items right? its not for flashlights. if a hag runs it for flashlights then oh well, but when you do it so people have to go back to their item and use dried cicada and rusty shackles thats just a jerk move bro
That's being with the perks and addons. You need to get over yourself.
-
Silent traps are one of her best addons and franklins helps counter flashlights which destroy her traps. This isn't some "toxic" build as much as taking advantage of things in the game.
But also the killer is not responsible for your fun. Stop treating killers like they are your personal entertainment.
-
I don't see how this change would make killers ever run this perk.
It's worse than old ruin which could stall progression on a gen if a good skill check was hit whereas here you just have no great skill check option. The more frequent and faster skill checks won't really do much for experience players while newer players who already struggle with skill checks will just get screwed over which was the same issue that helped get ruined changed in the first place.
And while you believe that current ruin isn't interactive, a killer has to be pressuring the survivors to get them to leave gens in the first place in order for any regression to happen. This is just moving ruin back to being a passive perk.
-
First this should be posted a bug report.
But if you have video that would show the issue much better than a still image.
-
The combo is good in the sense that if survivors boon, you can quickly turn that boon into a 30% slowdown. I don't think the combo is worth it though, because it's not only reliant on survivors booning but you also having the time to go destroy the boon as well. Since the meta boon is one that can be placed out of the way.
I find plaything + pentimento to be better, but even then it's still flawed because having time to rekindle totems is hard in games where that 30% slowdown would do something.
Personally I just don't think pentimento is that good.
-
Of course it exists, but it's not nearly as prevalent as people act like it is.
There are most certainly teams who will crank out all gens before doing anything else (including saving other survivors off hook).
-

As bad as it is, it's nothing compared to the times they've taken down the DC penalty. Those days, it was hard to find a match that didn't turn into a 3v1 within the first minute. Solo queue was straight-up unplayable.
If only those serial ragequitters could get paired with each other and leave the rest of us in peace.
Honestly the penalty should be harsher than it currently is. Wouldn't stop d/cing completely, but it's a little too lenient imo.

sorry to disappoint you but literally anyone who plays this game gets suspicious from private profiles not just me
and again i don't care if they live in even in jupiter, leaving the smallest thing available again NOT JUST FOR ME because you know 60k players and for some reason everyone thinks I'm the ONLY PERSON who get suspicious of private accounts
might just help you not get falsely banned and might help not getting dodged every damn game
Yet you have a bunch of people who play the game telling you that this is a solely "you" issue. It's clearly not a widespread thing for people who play as most people understand why people private profiles.

my man u can literally disable everything and leave only somethings available to see
and nobody can comment on anything

Why should I spend the time to perfectly craft my privacy settings just so you can see specific information from my profile? It's not even your business in the first place.

for the 4th time i guess
it makes people suspicious, you might pull something AMAZING and people will get suspicious and probably report you
FALSELY
and if u don't wanna swim in salt just disable the damn comments
The only person being suspicious over private profiles is you. You are acting like everyone who decides for whatever reason to have a private profile is automatically a cheater and report them despite them doing absolutely nothing wrong.
And disabling comments do not stop people from finding other places to leave comments or insult you over something they can see on your profile in end game chat. Some people just don't want to deal with that ######### and the fact you want people to deal with harassment just so you can see their profiles is a very problematic.

I'm not surprised considering the wording
"Whenever the Killer reads your Aura and for the same duration as they do so, Object of Obsession activates"
I wanted to try it, because blindness doesn't prevent your aura from being shown at all like distortion or off the record. The killer just can't see it.
I'm a little disappointed, because it could have been a neat synergy that wouldn't even be that strong since it'll only give you 1 free read.

You can deactivate comments and still show your profile...
I've done that and then had people go onto images I uploaded for completely different games to leave salt comments. Some people make it a point to harass people and privating your profile is the easiest way to counter it.
-
Not everyone wants salty players leaving comments on their profile or jump on their profile and pick something random they saw to insult you with.
And honestly you sound like the kind of person people private their profiles for. You are looking for an excuse to why you lost the match and blaming it on private profiles.
-
I've gotten the addon to work a few times. The range is really small and there's really only a few tiles this addon would do anything like going to a locker at a the TL wall.
-
BHVR's map design lately has been give survivors some really absurdly strong tiles by making the rest of the map have practically nothing. Which I personally don't like, because the strong tiles survivor gets as a result are just not fun to play against.
-
It's not like there's any benefit to going to save teammates after the last gen is done. Sure it's nice, but the game rewards you more for leaving a teammate behind than it does for saving them.
-
Because the Dredge is capable of opening the locker himself and grabbing the survivor trying to interact with it.
-
Dredge's strength is at a nice spot that killers in general should be in the first place. He has good tools available to him, but none of them are too strong for what they do.
-
Because people have just stopped complaining about things once one thing has gotten nerfed.
-
You have blood favor to block pallets. But we aren't going to see any mechanic to remove undropped pallets because they are resources to be used against the killer.

To be fair to flashlight pallet blinders, you get a decent amount of bloodpoints for blinding the killer. That alone is enough of a reason to do it.
Also challenges.
-
It's probably so the killer actually has to spend time breaking locks from lockers instead of being able to ignore half of them.

Perks don't work on Victor, this wouldn't happen. Also there's a delay before activating so it wouldn't work even if perks DID work on Victor.
Dissolution would work with Victor. But the only way Victor brings a survivor into injured state is by attaching to them. So you wouldn't really get much out of Dissolution with Victor, because you would swap back to Victor with the perk active.

Not sure I understand what means "why you would want to be forced to stay on hook longer with no ability to let yourself die". Why there's no ability? I can miss all skillcheck and die in few seconds. Or you talking about killer? Go away from hook and timer will resume.
Devs always said that if you looped killer for 5 gens and died at the end, you are bad. If whatever devs said is carved in stone and is not applicable for any discussion, than why this forum exist anyway.
As a consumer I can say that in current state game, if you are not a masochist, is ABSOLUTELY unplayable from survivor side, unless you with experienced SWF team on comms, or play this game 10 hours a day as a job. If it is intended that way, and only premades pros are allowed on one side, and other side can use cheap cheese noskill tactic, than let's devs make that statement.
Also, why so many cries and tears about SWF then? They are the only one that allowed, right?
Skillchecks do not appear when the timer is paused. We know this because that's what Camaraderie does.
