I noticed that sometimes a drone does not cover the gen but you can still access it. This is due to the fact that launching a drone takes a couple of secs but the placement will be the initial location where you stepped the action button. Wonder if this will be corrected.
-
Love it! I was accused of hacking because of it. Unfortunately, if there are other offerings and they win and it is an outdoors level then you have a problem.

12 knife combo as Trickster and then hearing that laugh.. mmmmmm
Or when he looks at his hands after main events. A mild version of Legion's "drug addiction".

Play another game which is single player only.

Doctor. Gotta love the giggles.
And Billy. Nothing like hitting a survivor with a curve and then spinning in celebration.
Also, successful pallet hit!!! I just love the sound the Doctor makes when he is stunned.
-
True, but folks have been following these principles more often than before.
-
I don't think I ever saw it. I remember Otz making a video and talking about how "insane" it is.
-
Clown - I just love the laughter he has after while also coughing.
As for Freddy - his door destruction is great (unless the scratching sound makes you uncomfortable).
-
An interesting idea. Killers are a bit bigger (more heavily-built), though, so this would need to be a different Dwight not the "weakling" we got used to.
-
But that's why he needs a buff so that other tactics can be used. Also, as he is a rarity the ones you see probably expert at using Trapper. I rarely use him and it is often for challenge purposes - without his ultra rare add-ons or the basement scenario it is difficult to win (=2K plus).
-
"Predatory Vision (Killer perk):"
Interesting idea but doesn't most chase time here mean I was unable to catch this survivor? I wouldn't want to be near them again and instead go and catch the others.
-
"either a 30 minute 3 gen match or randoms giving up"
For the former: please start taking risks to ensure the match is finished earlier. Put aside your pride and accept the loss if it doesn't work. Remember: there are other players so winning is not solely dependent upon you. Otherwise just move on and glhf next.
For the latter: I love when I use SM and ppl give up. Easy win for me.

Thanks a lot! This a lot and I'm very happy now!
-
Thank you kindly!
-
Rude behaviour but not bannable. You can always try to report it if you feel that way.
Well done for the extended loop, though!
-
Hope something that once again makes DbD a horror game.

Because I'm trying to win, not throw the game.
Just so happens that SM 3-gens are nearly impossible to break in a 4-man, let alone Solo Q.
Which is exactly why I do not understand why you are staying.
It is a known problem by the community - the very reason in a poll someone simply created a separate tier for SM calling her "broken" at her current state.
I'd rather lose a 50-min match and have 5 other that I may win (provided none pair me with SM again :D).
-
Follow what works for you. Had there been many chases those sacrificed would still have given you a treatment (be it t-bag or cuss words). You can't please everybody. And what you described is nowhere near bannable.
-
I do not understand how one can stay for longer than 20 minutes not to mention 50. I would start taking risks which would either work (in a good team) or would result in me being sacrificed (with team mates having fun extending the match for eternity).
I'm in Europe (Central, GMT+1). I barely see any SMs but Weskers (the tunneling / camping kind) are aplenty. I would gladly switch with you.
-
Yes, this was discussed in many other threads I think. You do something to someone and that person in return punishes others in subsequent matches.
I'm curious, nonetheless, how long the matches lasted.
-
Looking forward to it! I'm hopeful both a good killer and reworks will be mentioned.

In a Q&A that was a couple years ago they said they knew that Daily challenges leaned more towards killer and they were looking into a solution. In that time the only change they've made was increasing the BP on a Daily.
I think they should make it so there are 3 Killer and 3 Survivor daily challenges available so there is always one available no matter what side you play.
Plus, keeping the option to remove 1 in each group.

The stats don't tell the full story, if that's the case then Nurse is D tier.
Where do you get official stats for the game?
-
Tunneling and camping. Even killers that are able to cover huge distances in mere seconds do that. I think it was around 6.6 when I started seeing players with Nurse, Wesker or Blight camping.

So I just played a couple games of blight and I only played him one game prior to this. I do play a lot of killer but I managed to get the 4k pretty easily. I felt like I did well for basically never trying him but not well enough to warrant a 4k at 4 gens. Is he easy to pick up ?
Well done! I played only one match with him and I already hate him. Same goes for Oni (just can't turn while he is dashing).

Am I the only one who thinks that we should have the option to hide our prestige? Why hasn't this been possible before the introduction of the rank and grade system rework? You gave us the option for Anonymous mode but no option for hiding prestige levels.
I'm tired of players lobby dodging and resetting the timer all because of prestige levels. If I switch to a P100 survivor, the killer will immediately disconnect at the offering loading screen without him receiving a disconnection penalty. It bleeds time and fun from everyone. Fix this.
Can you tell me what P levels do your other survivors have?
-
I would assume that some sort of teleportation (that makes it easier for killers to cover great distances) make killers move up on the ladder. Why did you put Freddy together with Ghost and Myers? The other two are slow whereas Freddy is great with add-ons.
-
The law of large numbers. Eventually, more pips will come but it does get very aggravating when you need only one to get to the next iridescent (or to rank IV) and you lose it all.

I think it was completely intentional that map updates are making it harder and harder for Blight to slide around loops and tiles, and that back when Blight was getting nerf after nerf, they were all related to him being able to curve around objects.
And it seems similarly intentional that BHVR is intentionally limiting Billy's curving for a similar reason.
Expert Blight players need no curves as they can just "pinball" around you.

I would at least like for the devs to address all the useless addons and offerings in the survivor bloodweb which only purpose is to waste BP.
The Luck offerings, most shrouds, most key addons, most map addons, the brown and yellow mist bottles. All this are barely used items/offerings and there is no reason anyone would buy them if not because they are forced to.
I must have like 400 Chalk pouches that i will never use.
Of all these I sometimes use map offerings if a particular challenge can be done easier on a specific map (e.g. those with high elevation for Balance Landing challenges).
But I am surprised to see how bad shrouds are these days. Starting the match together makes no sense as even if you are in the shack working on 1 gen it is completely useless. At least the community is smart enough to recognise this. Often when a 3rd person joins one of the other two leaves as it is simply not efficient.
-
There is fun to be had when the game is long lasting and you feel like making progress whether you play as a survivor or as a killer.
It is fun when we respect each other - there is no t-bagging nor tunneling and camping.
You know what's fun?
The recognition of a good player. When you win as a killer and a sacrificed survivor says "gg", someone you sacrificed not as the last player, yet, they remained as spectators till the very end.
The recognition of a mistake. You pick Myers and take Scratched Mirror but there is another offering at play and the other person's gets chosen. You find yourself on a map where this add-on is completely useless. The others don't tease you but finish the gens as intended and are appreciative in endgame chat.
I miss the Xmas event where I met survivors I couldn't beat and I just jumped into a snowman swirling like an idiot. That was fun. Others joined in for a while then escaped. No rude remarks, no curses, just pure fun.
Or when you notice someone who has just found a glyph and you leave them finish. Then you continue but not before you exchange a couple of nods.

Camping & Tunnelling are keep ignoring by them. Actually they are just buffed it with DS's nerf and we got the worse anti-tunnel perk OTR.
Nurse nerfed from S - tier to S - tier. So they almost did nothing to her.
Blight did not got touched for years.
Spirit still has her busted add-ons for years.
Maps have strong 3 gen areas which survivors can not break it if killer is SM or Knight.
But whenever it comes to survivors, they have no mercy at all:
Dead Hard killed. Hatch & keys nerfed into ground. Med-kits nerfed so much. CoH is useless now. Solo survivors left in oblivion. They nerfed Self-Care too which was always weak perk. Flashlights nerfed. Iron Will butchered. I can list more here.
Probably next nerfs are coming for toolboxes, PT and other exhaustion perks since they got a lot complains from killers.
It is okey to listen killer mains and fix their problems. But why survivors are ignoring?
This sums up the issues pretty well, however, given these facts it is still possible to win as a survivor. Perhaps not altogether but if it is a soloQ does it really matter?
On the other hand, for SWF there is no viable solution.

Poor me... at least I am being considered nice...

It does not disconnect you, it automatically counts as all remaining survivors as sacrificed and ends the game immediately (so no animation whatsoever, the game just closes and marks them as sacrificed)
Interesting. Thanks for confirming.
-
Can we have more for survivors? The majority are for killers. I think the number (3) is fine as, after all, 1 can be removed.

I have a hard time playing Legion in huge maps but in small maps, it's easier to use Legion's power. What's your take?
Huge maps can be an issue unless members of the team work together on gens. Emphasis is on getting as many hits as possible while in Frenzy. If only 3 hits were enough for a down in Frenzy...

@Mooks said:
It doesn’t do anything currently.
But the devs can look into it and include it on their statistics I guess to possibly see trends?
I wonder how many people use it. It is barely visible. I believe I used it twice (in 1.5K hours, that is).

Dont get me wrong, i'm a Killer Main but yesterday i played a few Survivor matches with a friend, we got a Clown on the Pale Rose map (an old TTV).
After he downed the first, he let him on the ground and searched for the next. (One Perk he had, was K.O.)
This Clown did not a singel Hook in this Match, he let all 4 bleading out for no reason.
I think this strategy should be bannable in my opinion, then that is more boring then everithing, (more than camping and tunnel)
I probably met the same guy yesterday just on Springwood. Same strategy: using KO to ensure we do not see downed mates and he just let us bleed out. It was an interesting strategy (and I also hate slugging); I do not believe this is bannable.

The only issue with bonuses for reporting is that people will abuse it...sadly.
Then only those will get the bonus whose reports are thoroughly investigated and result in bans.
-
I have no idea what you mean. Do you mean they finish the gen instead of running? And by doing so they risk a hit?

Perks like Poised shouldn't need a downside to the perk. It's already limited by the amount of gens you complete and assuming you're the one doing gens. Plus it doesn't hide aura so that's already a hard counter
Fair point! Now, I see it the way you do.
-
The issue is not with SWF but with the matchmaking system. It does not allow you to prepare for the SWF. If it is a bully squad instead of BP the reporting feature should be made easier so that more people would report toxic gameplay.
How about giving a bonus for reporting? Similarly to the "refer a friend" practice at various companies.
There could be a "report the bully" ad in the menu saying you can get at least 100k for reporting toxicity be it gameplay or endgame chat.

You know something is busted when the only supposed counter to it is “just hang on the hook for 2 minutes to waste his time and hope your teammates do gens and escape”
Even perks like Reassurance and Kinship are only delaying the inevitable, Bubba isn’t an OP killer in most cases but in terms of camping potential he’s just plain unfair
how has it still not been addressed? Surely the devs don’t think being face camped for 2 minutes without any hope of rescue is balanced and fun?
A smart Wes can also camp and hold the team hostage. Or any other killer for that matter. When you are too altruistic and go in for the save you lose time as you are not on gens.
The only rework is to remove the sweeping or make it effective against surv not multiple.
-
Since there is an ongoing (and neverending) argument as to which is killer or survivor-sided I just look at them from an aesthetic point of view.
My favourite being Ormond due to the snow and wind. Garden of Joy brought back the horror. It also looks great. I miss the pitch black section upstairs, though.
-
Hag is much better now that the flashlight cannot remove traps. Of all 4 Trapper needs rework the most.
-
Even with Bamboozle equipped I hate the window loops. Pallets can at least be permanently removed once broken.
-
Do you still get BP after the DC? Is it automatically taking away a pip if you hit the time cap?
-
I pick "none of the above".
-
I picked "No, I don't care." but want to explain.
I don't care from a killer's perspective (I'm fine with them escaping if I can achieve a 3K), however, key is a rarity which means the person is probably doing the key challenge / achievement. I have yet to escape one more time to have the related challenge completed. Annoying and boring which is why I don't want to invest time in it. So I'm really happy if they manage to escape like that.
