Never seen anything like this before. I assume this is at a very high MMR.

Isn't it "old news" following the live stream on Friday? With the Singularity on the way I do believe we can anticipate a reduction in the use of SM. If the new killer works and plays well. There might be a complete switch to the new monster (and in 2nd place there would be Wesker).

Survivors dc'ing doesn't count as kills sadly which is why you see a number of people DC against adept killers - they know dc'ing takes the adept away
This is pretty awful behaviour on their part knowing that getting the Adept achievement is very difficult in some cases.

Notice the wording. You don't need to get the save, you just need to blind them while they're holding a survivor.
Blind the killer during the hooking animation. You get your challenge, and it's substantially easier than otherwise.
Thank you for confirming this works! I was about to give up on this.

Yeah I actually have him, and I would play him, except his voice is pure pain to listen to, second only to Feng.
Feng's is OK... but Jonathan's a pain.

I hate both perks. I always look out for them.

thats the map i got adept spirit on
A rework doesn't mean winning is not possible. I definitely won on this map. In fact, I won with Deathslinger and I'm really bad at aiming and shooting. I remember starting a match only to use up my party streamers for extra BP.
-
I'll use it regularly - it is a mandatory part of my builds along with Distortion.
-
You'd halve it? ๐
-
Hm... first you should be matched with beginners. Is it possible he was playing late in the evening? Which is typical of SWF groups.

In order for deliverance to activate, a survivor needs to unhook. How do you stop survivors from unhooking? Slug.
You can slug immediately. No prerequisites.
Deliverance requires a hook that needs to be safe. With tunnelling you can avoid safe hooks.
I rarely see this perk.
-
I find Borgo way too big for me as a killer. It needs a complete rework including map size adjustment (similarly to Eyrie).

I'm starting to think folks keep asking for this precisely do the problematic nature of Jeepers Creepers.
Not all of us are as informed as you are. Just Googled it and found the story. I also didn't know he helmed the entire trilogy.
And no, now that I know it I do not want JC in DbD.

Without video evidence this is hard to say.
The start of the break pallet animation and him pulling out his tentacle to dash are similar, so as a Wesker player you can sometimes fake the breaking pallet animation by pulling out your tentacle and this can cause some survivors to leave the loop prematurely, which allows you to follow up with a dash.
Very true! Just experienced the same in a match. I thought he'd break the pallet then he stopped midway and started running towards me.

Had a game where a Trapper destroyed my team. I was the last one left and i fully expected them to kill, but they intentionaly let me wiggle free. They stood and let me open the gate but downed me right away and hooked me. I'm fine with someone not giving mercy (or actually being merciful) on a survivor but don't pretend to be nice just to dunk on them right away. Either kill me right away or let me go. I'm not your plaything.
I'm likely making this a bigger deal than it is since it just happened to be fair.
Thanks for reading my rant
No, you are not making this a bigger deal. For many of us it is an issue. A similar experience I had was with a Nurse who let me crawl to the hatch but closed it in the last second. Just waited me to bleed out. Then in the endgame just "ez, git gud, cry" etc.
I truly believe some of these reflect the personality of the player... they must be awful IRL.
-
Hm not sure what you mean... I don't think I experienced such a thing before. The bug I mean not the grab. :)
-
I hate when a killer has 4 hexes. Especially, when they are all used for the same purpose (e.g. gen regression). A little diversity never hurts...

They could make them redeemable if clutter is a problem.
But they are barely visible anyway. There could be a flag indicating where the player is from in the lobby.
Oh wait! I don't want additional "complimentary" phrases to be uttered in the endgame chat...
-
I don't think it has anything to do with any EU servers. I'm also getting awful pings (200 plus) tonight.
-
Con Air would be great (longer hair). Easily the best on the above list.
-
Lรฉry's Memorial. I don't DC (I never do as a killer) but I expect the worse. It's just an awful map with way too many windows.
-
If there were they would significantly increase the already too long list of charms (they would probably go to one of the lower-tier categories as they are "just" flags). Make no mistake: I'm fine with it IF there is a filter added.
-
I spend way too much time with it while I have a backlog of other games to complete. Often I find myself playing DbD at 2 or 3 AM. The game is amazing regardless of its issues and lately I've been enjoying killer side more. I need to stop playing and continue regular exercise and more socializing. Am I burnt out? Far from it: I'm very much addicted to this game and it has to stop!
-
Let's get the Englund skin for Nightmare first.
-
Dwight: Toxic or not he will always be the loser in your place of work. They often go down.
Meg: Definitely uses a lot of speed-related skills, always. Sometimes they are very annoying.
Leon: Looks like a hero but often goes down very early. If the Chris or Carlos outfits are used prepare for toxicity.
Claudette: The one who tries to pull the team together. The least toxic.
David: Where is David?
Ace: The most toxic.
Steve: Tries to be the most toxic. Comes only 2nd after Ace but those wearing Scoops Ahoy try the hardest.
Rebecca / Yoichi / Mikaela / Haddie / Jane: Look and play alright. I just can't be mad at Haddie or Jane.
Feng: A lot of people use her. Her yells are the best and most satisfying.
-
I see a lot of nurses these days but slugging is a rarity. Due to the distance covered this is definitely a tactic I can understand on the player's part.

- It took me over several months to fully prestige Knight. The BP grind is not forgiving.
- The "reward" is a shiny number next to your name and two iridescent add-ons guaranteed per bloodweb. I was already swimming in add-ons before reaching P100. So technically speaking there's no reward beyond other people seeing your dedication to the character. I would really like a unique cosmetic set for getting this far.
- If you optimise your bloodweb you can get one prestige level per 900K BPs.
- Maining Knight is definitely not easy. He's one of the most technically advanced characters in the game and requires good map knowledge and game sense to do well with. The bigger the map, the harder it is to win. I've tried a variety of builds and focused them down until I created the most optimal Knight build I could: (Call to Arms + Map of the Realm + Surveillance, Pain Resonance, Pop Goes The Weasel, Sloppy Butcher ). But Knight still has plenty of issues that hours of practice cannot circumvent. Mainly his guard's AI bugging out. Despite that I've managed to win most of my games and feel like I've improved a lot since when I first started playing him.
- I'm going to take a break from DbD until the PTB for the next killer comes out and see how they are.
Thank you, this is very detailed! Interesting build, too.
One question from my end: How do you see Knight's progress / updates since its introduction to the game? You highlighted weaknesses but do you think currently it is at its best state?

Since the announcement I was constantly thinking how does Nick Cage end up in the realm plus jokingly thinking why Nick Cage does the Entity like his movies? I still love the idea I just find completely random and now making think why did he end up in the realm I would love to see a tome chapter just explaining it all even if it had really annoying challenges.
He ended up in the realm because he is the entity... ๐

I can lose survivor in plainsight in open field. I don't know what's wrong with me, but sometimes it cost me dearly.
In other games I'm like blind mole too. Unless teammate take my head and point me on something with finger, I could lose elephant in the living room.
Same here. Corn is my enemy. But it doesn't work the other way around. I head in thinking a nurse will not be able to hit me in the cornfield. Whatever direction I choose to go... bam...!

This falls under my "Things I never thought would happen".
I dont care for Nicolas Cage, but he will probably come with a super-strong Perk to give people an incentive to buy a Survivor-only Paragraph.
Super strong perk: avoid prison while being seriously indebted to IRS.
This is an amazing perk he has. How does it help survivors, though? ๐

Absent further information, it's safe to assume they just want to win. The easiest way to win is to target the weak link on the team. There's no in-game incentive for the Blight to take it easy. The only thing is it might give him a wholesome feeling internally if that's important to him. I just had a game the other day where I noticed that a Tapp was an extremely weak looper while the rest of his team were all extremely good. I could have EASILY tunneled this guy out and won the game, but I didn't, and it ended up being a three or four escape because I spent too much time chasing the strong loopers to be nice to the newb. How was I rewarded for this selfless action? The Tapp sits in the exit gates for the EGC as long as possible to teabag me. Last time I do that.
I hope you're also pouring a 40 out for all the killers that bully squad SWFs have run off.
Man this is sooo typical. As a "newbie" teabagging is mandatory - you notice better players don't stay or leave in time (SWF excluded, of course). This story pretty much sums up the toxicity in DbD.
-
I move on to the next game and the endgame is closed. There is no point in arguing and the other side is never receptive when it comes to criticism.
-
"...mostly punishes uncoordenated team play, aka, solo q."
This is exactly why we need them.
-
It's very aggravating, indeed.
-
Voice comm alone will not make someone with 100 hours as skilled as the one with 5000-10000 hours.

@Boons123 said:
I suggest that instead of creating a voice chat, we create ready-made messages such as (focus on repairing generators) or (follow me) and so on
The purpose of the game is to ensure communication is minimal. This also adds to the horror aspect - the unknown can be terrifying. There is a reason for the 2 main gestures. I think it's fine as is.
-
Slenderman would be interesting - stalking and teleporting combined as this is what he does, after all. We'd have a very powerful killer for sure!
-
As there was a rank reset last Saturday and I continued playing only today I can confirm every match is fun. At the beginning following a reset it's always great! Until the MMR suddenly starts orbiting planet Earth...

CAN YOU PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF THE ENTITY LEAVE THE GAME ONCE YOU'VE OPENED THE GOSH DARN GATES
I get it, you won, congrats, but why do you feel the need to always wait like a minute or two near the exit before going.
Nobody's hooked. Nobody's hurt and needs healing. There's literally no point. Just go, please, I broke every pallet. What is wrong with you.
Thank you very much,
Much love,
WB.
Edit: I forgot to add Thank you and I am a polite bean.
In case you didn't break all doors / pallets you have the chance so you can get some more BP. Some killers get points for using their abilities (e.g. SM deploying her drones) so you can just spam these till the corresponding category is maxed out.
The only thing I hate when people start vaulting an existing pallet which gives an explosion-like sound effect. They clearly want your attention. I take my headset off and continue to do the smashing.
-
Yes, "I'm afraid" of trying out new builds unless it is related to challenges. Lightborn, Bamboozle, Corrupt intervention are all mandatory. Oh, and Nowhere To Hide, too. If I see no flashlight (or just one) I'll replace Lightborn otherwise the rest are a must.

How do you nerf communication via all kinds of software available on Windows?

not pennywise we already have the clown
Pennywise actually has many shapes / forms and clown is just one of them. Putting him in DbD would mean picking one (clown?) and ditching the rest (spider, mummy, werewolf, etc.).
-
The map is pretty small so a full survivor team escape is very difficult. You'll definitely catch someone at the gate (similarly to Midwich).
I had my longest SM match here where the killer was successfully locking down 3 gens (all on the same side).
Also, because some gens are just "around the corner" upstairs killer with stalking ability or using Tinkerer can surprise survivors. Nothing beats a Bubba in the main building appearing and downing half the team because of this perk.
-
- That's too much of a nerf. Also, survivors would harass this by always being on drones.
- So you would punish the SM as the match goes forward?
- Isn't the range too big? Way bigger than a jungle gym? I wouldn't approach, at all.
-
I do a little t-bag when I'm desperate and I'm about to go down.
I love moving left and right when on the ground disagreeing with what's going to happen. Sometimes killers nod.
Some of these things are fun.
-
This is a very uplifting thread. Thanks! ๐ค
-
Agree. For me the issue is with Backwater Swamp. That is where I find it difficult to notice.
-
Survivor: Rebecca and Vittorio
Killer: Hag
-
Ah so that's why Bubba was staying in basement... in 1.6 hours I met such a Bubba only once. None of us cared about him, completed the gens, left and said gg. Not sure what the fun is in this.
