Great job with dishing out all that information, bringing up Vigo possibly being a Shaman is also very interesting.

Time for a super cop out answer, a lot, like, A LOT.
-
I don't know what I was expecting but... how could you do this to me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KolfEhV-KiA -
I'm going to break the rules here, these are not in a particular order
- F13
- Resident Evil
- The Thing
- Alien
- Pumpkinhead
There's so many others that I can come up with but I'll limit myself there.
-
Honestly, I only get jump scared by like 3 killers anymore. Those being Ghostface, Hag and Michael, that's about it.

Can you buy DOTF and Darkness Among us characters with Iridescent Shards?
Yes, any original character created by BHVR can be bought with shards.

I barley ever t-bag for the same reasons, it's generally a fairly rude thing to do. The only times I do it is for the same reasons, if a killer is purposefully being super toxic towards me or my teammates then I'll do it in the hope that they chase me and I still don't like doing that. I also do it as a greeting or thank you as well.

I would like a Mummy character. And not a yummy one at that.
Using all the Egyptian mythology would be interesting and a map would look good.
Man, I would have loved to be able to try fruity yummy mummy. It's a shame it was discontinued so quickly, from what I heard it was super good.

I think killers are driven to kill and actively enjoy it. Monsters are just creatures who are good at it. Does Frankenstein want to kill? Does Dracula enjoy killing or just do it because he needs it to sustain his life? That's where I draw the line between killers and monsters.
It all really boils down to the intelligence of a monster. I brought this up before with the Demogorgon and Pumpkinhead. The Demogorgon does it out of a will to survive but also to serve, as the case with the MF. Once the entity took it in it fit like a glove because it was able to be trained to serve the Entity.
Now, Pumpkinhead knows exactly what he's doing and capable of. He seeks out the most vile ways to torture and kill his victims and enjoys every second of it.

Very cool post, really appreciate it! Babayaga is the next monster that will be implemented, so you were spot on.
The vampire in the game is a count so it's more of the classical castle Bram Stoker vampire.
I have an idea for the Strigoi, but that's really thinking too much ahead.
Too bad you're on console, we just had a play session last evening and it was really fun.
Hey, if you ever get to console I'll gladly play, always looking for some fun asymmetrical games to add to my library.
On last question though, I know you said the monsters will come from east European medieval times but do you plan on expanding on that to Asia as well or is that WAY to far ahead?
Before I forgot as well, I wanted to clear up some a bit of misconception in my first comment Baubas and Babayaga are quite different. https://slappedham.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Baubas-Creatures-from-Eastern-European-Folklore.jpg (picture of Baubas)
Sorry about that and thank you for taking the time out of your day and answering my questions, the game is already shaping up very nicely.

That's what I assumed you were talking about, at least what I thought of when you use the word classic. While I definitely like the idea I think it should be an entirely separate game, a new asymmetrical based around monsters. This game is more about Killers than monsters in my opinion.
It all really comes down to what you define as a "killer". Do you think it just pertains to slasher type characters because personally I don't, obviously. Now, if it was labelled as "slasher" then I'd agree with that sentiment 100% but it's labelled as "killer" and personally I find monsters to be natural born killers. Hey though, just my opinion and I'm just happy to see people sharing theirs.

@Raptorrotas said:
As long it fits the game's designs it doesnt really matter what the killer is.
Im morecurious as what is accepted as "classic". Arent there debates the 14th chapter might include an oni ? Might be obscured by the big fat "JAPANESE"-tag, but its a classic monster, just of a different culture.
The classic western monsters would definitely work... Frankensteins is just a dude that walks funny, like hilllbilly. Vamps are just fancier dressed than doctor, and jiangshi are just stiffer vampires... Werewolves depend on the grade of morphism, but range from hairy huntress to hairy demogorgon.
More importantly would be if their abilities match their archetypes.
When I said "classic" I was generally talking about the classic universal monsters but sense the topic has already shifted gears heavily I'm not going to be a pill about it.

Since the developers added the Demogorgon, more classic monsters would be a great addition to Dead by Daylight.
Personally, I'm waiting for the Xenomorph.
C'mon BHVR, don't leave me hanging! 🤗
I'd absolutely adore it if they added my girl to the game.
Honestly, another classic monster I'd love behind Gillman and a Xeno is a Werewolf.

Always happy to help

ok so if I am getting, The Halloween Chapter,Leatherface, and The Saw Chapter and the game is that an one set of killers and survivers?
If you're waiting for the nightmare edition it will include the Curtain Call, Shattered Bloodlines, Stranger Things, Flesh and Mud, Spark of Madness, Lullaby for the Dark and Last Breath.
You will still need Halloween, ANOES, Saw, Darkness Among us, Ghostface, Ash, DOTF, and Leatherface.

I generally follow the same guidelines as Cornpopers. 1 DC = normal play. 2 or more (early enough into the match) = farm.
Just to give you a heads up because I'm assuming you're new here, if you ever want people to be notified that you have mentioned them always put a @ or directly reply to them by pressing the quote.

@Ethon0107 said:
I am getting the game that comes with the Stranger things DLC. And can you play the game can you unlock the killers and survives?
If your talking about the Nightmare edition that comes in December then no, a lot of the DLC characters are unlooked at the start.
-
It depends on how many DC. If it's one, then I basically go easy on them. Also, it's a pretty high chance that if I still get 2 kills, I'm giving the third the hatch. If it's two or more then it turns into a straight up farming match.
Now, in the case of a sandbagger, yeah, I generally begin to focus on them a whole lot more, if I can tell it was on purpose.
-
I'm personally going to say either Stranger Things, Shattered Bloodlines or DOTF but ultimately it's all a matter of playstyle. I suggest looking at the perks and watching a bit of gameplay before you purchase anything though.
-
Good job *claps enthusiastically"
-
I mean, if I remember correctly a while back on a dev stream they did say something along the lines of "you might see in the future who once was a killer and who once was a survivor to not be in the same position anymore." or something like that. I'm probably off base though.
-
I sadly can't remember the name of the user but they actually brought up a really cool idea for this. Basically it went like this, as her father was killing her, the soul was split into two. One side being the rage and hat fuelled Spirit, while the other being a dazed and confused innocent Rin.
-
Ok, completely off topic but a super underrated movie I enjoyed was Splinter.
Now, a bit more on topic, a movie that I definitely think is not that good yet I still enjoy is Return of the living Dead part 2. I think the main reason why it's so poo-poo'd on is because it basically goes full comedy as compared to the first.
-
I'd love to give it a go but I'm on console but I do have a question and maybe a few future monsters if you're interested. So, my question is about the vampire, is it just simply a vampire or is it supposed to be a Strigoi because if I remember correctly, Strigoi are far more animalistic then standard vamps.
Now, for a some future monster suggestions, I'd love to see monsters like Fear Liath, Vodianoi and especially Baubas get in the game eventually but I'm probably thinking far too much ahead.
-
Even though I'm of age I still haven't tried any alcoholic beverages... yeah, I'm a square, mainly because none have tickled my fancy yet.
With that said for non-alcoholic drinks though I've got to give it to Jones green apple soda, stuff is delicious.
-
Honestly there seems to be a couple groups of people when it comes to Doc.
- He's a very low tier killer and his power is useless.
- He's far better then what people occasionally say about him.
- He's simply a bloodpoint gaining monster(it's true) and that's the only reason to play him.
Now, I personally love playing Doc but I definitely don't think he's too great, just my opinion though. Unless your playing 3 gen Doc in which case I feel SUPER bad for the survivors.
-
I always wanted a actual monster in this game so the day I heard we were possibly getting the ST chapter(thanks Paulie) I knew I found my true main but of course I enjoy switching off here and there.
-
Where's the shirtless Freddy option?

@AAAAA said:
Pig is basically a normal human so there's not much point, plus she would be hard to disarm with her weapon strapped to her arm.
Michael is certainly stealthy and could probably evade an active search for subjects, but he's also one of the most lethal, and not physically unique, so probably not worth the trouble.
Leatherface would not be a good test subject simply because he would never calm down, and who would want to get close while he's scared or mad.
Ghostface could easily evade an active search, and he's a regular human so not terribly interesting. However, since the liscence is for the mask and not the character, we could see a blighted Ghostface in the future.
Demogorgon is probably too unique, not being human it would be totally unpredictable. Also, it would ALWAYS be dangerous, it's hands and head are lethal weapons and who knows what kind of interdimensional tomfoolery it can do (you might, but I haven't watched Stranger Things)
Also, I think most of the community, myself included, doesn't think Benedict did the blight experiments, but that's a valid opinion to have.
Too add on to your Demogorgon point specifically, from a lore point we saw what happened to Evan when injected. The guy was able to tear walls down, now take a monster who can probably already do that and give it super steroids and that is a recipe for pure destruction. Also @Walker_of_the_fog_96, I believe you're also correct with the skin thickness because in the show, it was being shot point blank and not giving a ounce of care.
-
It would honestly be pretty exciting to see them expand on a existing chapter. That being said I wonder how the sound leaks could corelate to Rin's father?
-
Ok, I'm basically breaking the rules right now but a game that I finished recently that honestly gave me a much harder time then expected was the REmake. The crimson heads and hunters where much more beefy then expected and it doesn't help I had low or zero ammo during parts.
-
I'm honestly both hyped and worried because on one hand Scream is coming back. On the other hand though, it could possibly be a reboot and I'm pretty sure they're not bringing back Kevin so it's a very mixed bag currently.

I read every Lovecraft Mythos stories. My issue with adding any creature is that they aren't killers they are monsters. And many of them are more powerful than DBD's Entity.
Someone mentioned the Creature from the Black Lagoon, andmaybe a Shadow Over Innsmouth type of killer could work.
Maybe Lovecraftian-inspired could be the way. Someone that served the entity in life. Could even be tied to Vigo or another character already in the lore.
Pennywise is too powerful to be caught by the entity, right? I don't know maybe.
But I am glad to see your opinions. I thought Chucky would be silly but you guys shed some light on him. Could work. :)
I personally disagree, monsters most certainly can be killers but what truly distinguishes one from another is their intelligence level and goals. Let's compare the Demogorgon to Pumpkinhead for this example. The Demogorgon, at least from what we know currently is a simple creature, it does what it does to survive but also to serve. Usually it serves the MF but is now obedient and TRAINED by the Entity to serve it and ultimately that's what the Entity wants.
Now, Pumpkinhead for all intent and purpose is also a monster but a highly intelligent one at that. A creature that loves too toy with its prey and then once captured finds the most painful way possible to kill you. It knows what it's doing and will stop at nothing to achieve its goal. So yeah, as much as I disagree, I get the whole, "I want slasher type characters" but after having that for so long, it just got samey for me.
Also, don't loose hope about Chucky, not to long ago the devs stated they actually were talking about Chucky and how he could work

No no, not rude at all. Admittedly I have not read any of Lovecraft's books, but I am familiar with his work. From the outside looking in so to speak, I was just assuming Cthulhu was a giant creature, purely based on everything I've seen of him.
If you have any remote interest in weird/existential horror then I HIGHLY suggest some of Lovecraft's work. Just for a warning though, Lovecraft during the beginning of his work was pretty xenophobic and it does come through in his early work. Whatever you do, don't look up the name of his cat.
-
As much as I'd love to see SCP's join the game it would be a tremendous hassle to do so, so we most likely won't ever see that happen.
Now, as I stated a few times already, I'd honestly love if they'd go after a video game franchise next. I'd would adore it if they got with Capcom and made a Resident Evil chapter. Preferably with Jill and Nemesis but I'd be happy with anything RE.

But isn't Cthulhu a GIANT creature?
Cthulhu can be whatever Cthulhu wants to be but yes, most of the time he's giant. Oh, plus there's that whole old one aspect. Sorry if this comes off as rude, wasn't my intention.
-
I honestly love how with the inclusion of the Demogorgon, its really opened the door for more monsters to be added to the game with the Xeno being at the top of the list. With that said, I really like your concept, good job. I'd like to see your ideas for perks and possibly add-ons in the future.
-
Honestly, I really love the idea of a "monster" infection type killer, it's one of my most wanted killer archetypes now. Too keep it fun for survivors though I think once they turn they should still be able to play, just work with the killer now. Maybe have some add-ons that help improve your monsters.

Hehehe- yeah, G2 would be the max..unless they add malformation tiers ;3
As long as Mr.X’s is giving it to yah Xx
Well, if the speculation is correct and we are getting the Alchemist next chapter and he can go into a "crazy" mode. Then it looks like we're getting our first transformation killer.

Claire and G Malformation 3 ?
As much as I love G3(it's super badass looking) if we were to get a G variation, it would probably be G1. Honestly though, if we were to get anything from RE2 it would most likely be Mr. X.
-
Yes, especially for the three original killers
-
When we eventually get another licensed chapter, I'd honestly love if they'd go after a video game franchise. I'd personally want them to get a partnership with Capcom so we could have a Resident Evil chapter and I agree with @harry14141414, I'd love Jill and Nemesis. Honestly though anything RE would make me happy.
-
The devs have stated that they'd rather put the time and resources to creating new moris instead of re-doing old moris but maybe someday.
-
I actually(finally) got around to watching both Scream 1 and 2, both super fantastic movies and I can definitely see why it basically resurrected the slasher genre, way more humor mixed in then I expected though.

Well the Demogorgon has unique chase music, so everyone instantly knows what the killer is in his case before they see him. But yeah, like you said, that's not an excuse to not do it.

Anything Resident Evil would be spectacular, end of story. Silent Hill would also be pretty great.
