Nope i just know how to read a graph

the graphs provided by the devs are irrelevant when survivors don't need to survive to "win"

    Facts are irrelevant?

Nope i just know how to read a graph

  • Worst killer and most boring killer to verse

  • It is tipped towards killers though

  • The last time i pressed esc-leave match and started playing killer

  • I don't think any killer needs a buff

  • I have a few,

Huntress Mori that lets you cut the head off the survivor and wear them on your belt for the rest of the game.. Who wouldn't want to carry around 4 dwight derp faces on your belt.

Freddy Mori that allows him to wear the sweater of his latest victim for the rest of the match. The style potential could be off the charts!

Myers can lean side to side while standing or crouch and move 3 steps forward increasing the jumpscare potential and meme potential to new heights. Appearing from under windows or popping his head around corners.

Leatherface Mori that allows you to wear the face of your latest victim. Who wouldn't love to be chased by a chubby jake face.

Pig has had teabagging speed increased 300% because memes.

Clown addon. You can keep up to 5 fingers in your pocket from your victims for a little speed boost nibble during a chase. Each finger eaten gives you a tiny speed debuff outside of the chase because metabolism.

Hag super rare addon. You start the game with your two hag children that will randomly walk around the map drawing poor versions of your trap that may not trigger 50% of the time. They will count as your traps off your total. If the child randomly walks up to a survivor there is a 5 second window that the child will scream in hag and alert you to the survivors presence unless the survivor flees before 5 sec.

Wraith. New addons that allow you to change the bell sound into things like - Funny car horn, John Cena sound, Smooth Jazz, My name is Jeff etc etc

Emotes like stay here, I'll go, dance emotes, Dab emotes because who doesnt want to dab after a pallet stun. Killer emotes like your next, throat cut emote, Dab emote because hilarious, Sweet dance emote.

New hideable locations like foot locker, lamp shade on head, Underneath kitchen sink, behind curtains with your feet sticking out from the bottom. The survivor will now enter the hideable location and stay in the direction you entered or be in a random position inside the locker. Who doesn't want to open a foot-locker and see a quentin butt staring back at ya or a meg wrapped around the pipes under the kitchen sink hiding sheepishly.

Walkie talkie items that allow communication between other survivors. Would make franklins that little bit sweeter and could close the gap slightly between solo and swf.

I have alot more silly ideas but these were just a few that popped into my mind.

  • I would rather the devs incentivise staying in the game over punishing leaving. Make more of a reason to stay in the game.
Increase BP for everyone, increase fun, stop nerfing survivors, deal with issues like camping hardcore relentless tunneling, things like that, in regards to survivors dcing.
I feel like punishing people for not having their version of fun could just drive players away from the game.
All easier said than done though.

  • I would love to see a chubster survivor.. They could have special stats too like it takes one extra hit to put them in the downed state, chainsaws have a 10% chance to get stuck in flab requiring a restart of chainsaw and only counts as a M1 hit and the tubby survivor gets a 30% speed penalty at all times.. It could be like tanking in a mmo haha
  • I think a lot of players just want instant gratification without putting in much effort at all.

Gone are the days where players would play a game with only a small handful of lives and a continue and play over and over practicing until they can win.

Some Players these days either can't admit that they need to practice to get better at the game or have this need to be fulfilled every time they pick up the game pad. I guess it's why some games have difficulty options.

    My 2 cents.

  • I could only imagine the uproar in these threads if a similar survivor topic emerged lol

Solo survivor should just use their brain.
Following some simpler rules will bring them on the same level as SWF.
    1. Use Self Care.
    2. Use an exhaustion perk (SB, DH or BL)
    3. Spread out, do different gens.
    4. Every survivor has to cleanse at least ONE (dull) totem.
    5. If you get chased, try to lose the killer.
    6. If you can't lose the killer, waste his time.
    7. If your outside a chase, do gens or heal.
    8. Only do safe unhooks and never try to combat a camper
    .:edit:.
    9. If you are on the hook and get camped, flap your arms

So basically git gud - _-
  • Buff solo survivors- Make kindred or bond base.. Probably kindred.
Add walkie talkie items to the game that add push to talk.

Nerf SWF- add a gen repair speed penalty to each player in a party of like 4% per person stackable to 16% (numbers to be tested by devs).

    Nerf nurse.

    That's my 2 cents :)
  • @Aerys I was thinking the same thing today.. A 5% penalty to gen repair speed to each player in a party stackable to 20%.

If there are two duos each duo pair have a 10% debuff

3 party is 15% for each player in the party and the 4th solo has no penalty.

I think your idea Aerys is great and would help close the gap without ruining the game for everyone.

Obviously the numbers would have to be tested and adjusted accordingly by the devs.

Good idea Aerys. Simple and plausible.
  • Did i like spending more time holding M1?.. no.. no i did not.

  • All i would like to see is a specific penalty to SWF players and a bonus to solo players to bridge the gap (if necessary). I feel like these blanket nerfs to survivor players hurt the solo players the most.
Obviously killer would need to be balanced up or down to meet these changes.

And why is slugging so bad? Care to elaborate? How is the killer inflating his ego by doing this?

I feel like it's pretty self-explanatory, to be honest. When 3 kills is not enough and someone wants to perform better on the expense of other people around him, therefore making his desires a priority, therefore making sure that other people around him are forced into a very uncomfortable situation, but still not caring about it. Enormous ego at its finest.

Can't blame survivors for leaving the match. In the giver circumstances there is simply no room left for them on the map.

So he uses a logical and tactical strategy to complete his objective. But why let the winner take his prize, right? He doesn't deserve it, because he is just inflating his ego. (Which is okay, you know. He outplayed all of you. And you lost. It's as simple as that.)

It's all well and good to play to your best and be competitive doing so.. But you can't expect other human beings to play a game, be slugged for minutes only to be hooked at the last second so the killer can use his bbq aura to find the last person.
Not everyone uses DBD to fulfill a competitive hunger. Some people play for fun and It is not fun being slugged at the end.

There is a reason the leave match button exists. The devs installed it as part of the game a few years ago, its still in the game. And do you know the reason for the leave match button? It's so anyone can leave the game anytime they like.
They could have been removed it, patched out, or they could have imposed crazy strong bans on dcing.

    But they haven't.

They know the game isn't perfect and it's not always fun for all involved or balanced with SWF, Killers, And solo players.

There will always be a split between the hardcore players and the casuals.

    All IMO

  • @racoon when you rack up a few more games would you be able to share your opinion on whether you think face camping is a good strategy or you get punished from a bp point of view.. Would love to hear the results :)
  • Actually you started the whole tryhard thing with survivors dcing. I simply stated that the killer can also be just as sweaty with slugging. (differing viewpoint).
Then you called me entitled and from what I can see the only one emotional with a hatred for one side of the playerbase is you champ.
Alot of people play this game for fun. Bleeding out while your teammate can survive and you know he will be caught isn't fun.
And fun is why video games are played.
    Killer 3k won
    Killer 4k still won

DCing and intentionally killing yourself on the hook so someone can get the hatch is the biggest dick move a survivor team can do. Literal tryharding at it's most toxic.

So the survivor equivalent of slugging the third to get the fourth?

    Not at all.

And if you do not see how these aren;t the same then you aren't worth talking too honestly.

Slugging a 3rd to hunt the forth means there is still the risk of failure. the Survivor could be revived, and both could escape. The forth could still get the hatch, and any number of things could go down that swings it into the Survivors favor again.

Now when a Crybaby Survivor plug pulls, or kills himself to let his buddy who is squatting ontop of the hatch get it..how can the killer make it to that survivor before they hop in? They cannot, there is no counterplay for the killer.

Slugging at the end is just as sweaty.. I'll dc all day to let my teammate get the hatch if I'm slugged at the end.. Being a team player and all.. I got no problem letting a survivor get out via hatch if I'm the killer because I know I already won.

See it's people that are willing to plug pull like you, just to get one over on the Killer that makes Killers start slugging.

I don't slug, and I'd say in about mm 2 in 4 Games where I have a 4k Brewing someone insta DC's to give there bum buddy the hatch. So..while I'am throwing someone on the hook (THERE FIRST HOOK at that) and Not camping him, it's completely fair and just for him to DC or kill himself so his buddy escapes?

    Entitlement...it's showing.

I only play solo. I play this game for fun. Not sweat.
Did you actually want to have a discussion and see a differing viewpoint or are you only here to whine about survivor players and pick fights?

  • If DC'ing wasn't an intended game mechanic.. Then why is there a leave match button?

  • Yeah, it's really funny when crappy players get 2 gens down, 3 die and the last alive gets to live.
It's hilarious to reward bad players.

    Clap

    clap

How is it the last players fault his teammates died/dc'd?
  • Its text on a screen from people you don't know in a video game. Don't let it get to you

  • And the lower ranks are the opposite. Immersed survivors, Hiding in lockers too much. EZ 4k's all day

That's not the point I aren't on about just this one match any match I play killer toxic survivors still insist on having hatch standoffs

It takes two to participate in a hatch standoff. Only the killer has the power to force the other one to end the stand-off, smack em and move onto the next game.

Not really. the survivor can stay there forever until they get the standoff they want, and hold the game hostage until they get it.
    Reporting them works, IIRC.

What? The killer can hit them and end the standoff in a second? What are you guys on about?

    That's the standoff, isn't it?

What if the killer has to find the hatch, and the survivor is standing on it, teabagging?
What if the killer doesn't want to find the hatch?
Survivors know that they're basically safe near the hatch short of being grabbed.

What if the gates are open, and the survivor decides to sneak around until they find the hatch, and makes it difficult to find them?

    These aren't uncommon scenarios.

Not uncommon scenarios at all. It is definately annoying once the gates are open and the pesky survivor is creeping around while i check the gates.

Sorry i was talking about the face to face standoff. Where the killer and the survivor are both at the hatch playing the waiting game.

    Thats actually wrong.
If the killer takes action he loses immediately. The survivor can always try to do gens instead

What losing? If there's 3 dead and it's the last survivor the killer already won. It's the sweaty 4K Ego that gets in the way of not letting the survivor go.

Increase the bp penalty for camping the hook to compensate.

    There is none to "increase".

Oh i thought camping the hook now affected the emblem in one of the recent patches that lowered the amount of bp you can get at the end. And the emblem wasn't affected if another survivor was nearby. Wasn't that a thing recently?

  • I have an idea to incentivize killers to not tunnel.
Every time you hook a different survivor from the last one you hooked you get a bonus amount of BP called fresh meat.
Increase the bp penalty for camping the hook to compensate.
Tunnelling and camping would still be an option but killers would now be encouraged to go after different survivors keeping the game fresh and fun for everyone
  • Grinding or playing a game just to "pip" isn't what feels like a fun time for me. I want to play a game like this that has fun chases where i feel like i have a good influence on the outcome, Intensity and hilarious interactions with the killer and teammates.

After the last couple of patches, when i play as a solo survivor, it feels less and less like i can display my ability and have fun interactions and enjoy the game play overall and i feel like i'm holding M1 a lot more than i should.

A lot of the games i play in are complete stomps of my team.

I'm not going to get into the whole balance debate about which side is stronger and why, mostly because i don't care about all that stuff.
All i know is lately as a solo survivor player, i don't escape as much and i don't feel like i'm having as much fun as i did before the event patch.

Maybe its just me though, I might have forgotten how to play survivor lol.

The game feels so sweaty at the moment, I want to play this video game and have fun doing so as i love DBD.

DCing isnt punished, so people gonna DC.

Thats how it is in any game and I have no idea why we have no strict DC punishments

I mean i honestly believe that less people are playing survivor now and more (especially new players) are playing killer. I personally feel that Imposing strict DC, AFK bans on survivors at this point would alienate even more of the survivor community.

I think a better way to solve the problem would be to entice survivors to try more. Decrease M1 time or find a way to make the game more fun for them. Easier said than done though.

  • New players, Balance the worst in the game at the low ranks. Killer is brain dead easy down there and the survivors haven't figured out what to do to survive efficiently yet. Coupled with this event which makes it even harder for them or they were farming vials. They probably feel disheartened or just weren't having fun.

    All IMO of course
