Finally, it ends.
-
I wish cages counted for BBQ but I agree he is a lot of fun once you get the hang of him.
-
I will dive deeper into her once I have unlocked all perks and have a supply of add ons. I am likely not alone.

An Event Horizon style spaceship would be an awesome map. That movie doesn’t really have a slasher style killer per se but any crazed astronaut killer could work.
Sam Neil will have to be the "killer" and Lawrence Fishburn would be the survivor haha
-
Alien franchise, Event Horizon, Pandorum all present map and character ideas that would be so interesting.

The most pain I've ever felt in this game is trying for adept Trapper. Waited until after Rank Reset, so it would be a little easier (This was a couple of weeks ago.)
Got Midwich.
Got Merciless anyways.
Didn't get the achievement.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/NEOBBE660PG1/pain.jpg
Yes, I'm aware someone escaped, but I still got Merciless, and I could've sworn I've gotten adepts even if someone survived, as long as I still got Merciless.
I just want Trapper adept, dammit.
I would not be surprised if his achievement still has the 4k requirement since he is the first killer and they did not update it.
-
I am sure you are still killing plenty so do not sweat the defeats. As soon as you start caring or expecting a specific result DBD surprises you.
Become the SWF hunter and equip Iron grasp, Agitation, Starstruck, and Lightborn.

Coup won't work as I said in post few mins ago, even if it was buffed, due to how deadhard works.
Mindbreaker is actually great, but many survivors have already got used to it. Simply pre-drop a pallet and then not run for 5 seconds and you are fine.
Exhaustion addons are very rare, most killers don't have them.
Waiting for deadhard does not work, if you are able to counter deadhard by waiting it out, it's either endgame with no pallets around, or the survivor is using it wrong.
Swinging and lunging at the right moment to get the hit at the 'tip' does not work anymore, as lunge attack is eaten and canceled by the server, behaving as a miss. Again due to how current deadhard works.
Some of those things are working for me and I have actually started running Unrelenting sometimes to counter the false hits. I don't guess right every time but I still kill plenty of survivors who use dead hard. I do agree it would be nice to have a killer perk that granted some sort of boost like a super jump. Watching a clown jumping over a pallet loop throwing bottles haha

Why though? There are 4 survivors and 1 killer. If exhastion would recover at all times then most killers would not be able to do anything in chase and would literary never be able to down anyone especially when that person would run deadhard. While for killer a flat 60s cooldown would allow you to still only use this in one chase on one survivor. The rest of the team is not affected at all.
Don't look at it as a negative since this change could inspire a whole rework of all killer perks that have a cooldown making them better while giving survivors some kind of counterplay.

I mean it's kinda the same for killer, just with one little exception, which is that killer does not have anything comparable.
Mindbreaker, coup de grace, exhaustion add ons, expecting dead hard and waiting, body blocking pallets and windows, swinging or lunging at the right moment in the right direction are all tactics and tools we already use. It does not make them invincible. I like the cooldown on coup de grace idea that other fellow had.

Orrr we could just nerf Dead Hard.
It is annoying but survivors surviving sometimes is what keeps this game going. I kill plenty of them so the ones that got away deserved it unless they were cheating.
-
@PandaChris said:
Coup de Grace actually got nerfed which is hilarious. Coup de Grace should be like dead hard on a cooldown.
Dead hard has the potential to fix a mistake where you should be hit. You got outplayed and now you rely on pressing E to possibly extend a chase.
A buffed Coup de Grace will a cooldown will have the potential to fix a mistake where you couldn't get a hit in. You got outplayed and now you rely on Pressing E to possibly end a chase.
Sounds fair to me.
Ok but survivors will need something that can reset killer cool down like exhaustion add ons or perks. Pallet stuns for example. A boon that stops the cooldown just came to mind haha
-
OK if we are being serious what would be the requirement instead of gen completion? Unhooks? Both? That many Coup de Grace uses would be kind of overwhelming for survivors who don't actually use dead hard. (I know it seems all of them do)

I can't tell what's worse. The complaints of people who do not know what they're talking about, or the ones who do.
The ones who do are worst. The new players are still wide-eyed with wonder and do not know the limits of the game design yet.

Flashlights help so you can burn her birdies and I assume paying attention to what areas of a loop she has denied. Getting rid of the crows should be a priority as she can still see you for a long time depending on her add ons. I think going to the wiki and reading up on what her add ons do could also inform your strategy.
-
I consider him a little baby like the monster from Cloverfield. He just acts on instinct and has no malice.
-
I like the Artist but she was by far the easiest Adept achievement I ever did and that is with the Iridescent 1 pip requirements. I did it with level 1 perks and brown add ons, so I consider her strong as hell. Fun like that cannot last long in this game as the design seems to prefer frustration as our common emotion.
-
This game has been out a long time so if you are just starting out it will be rough sometimes. Lucky for you there are a lot of YouTube guides out there now and the DBD wiki is extremely helpful for diving into the details. Just remember it is a mind game.
-
Clown with Agitation, Iron grasp, and Starstruck is very addicting and I love the fact that he laughs at the survivors when he downs them.
-
If I have a pig daily I like to use her aura reading add-on with an internal map. Otherwise, I have used them when attempting a killer adept or special achievement like the huntress long-distance hatchet one or Kill 4 with Evil Within. If playing Trapper or Hag I like to use a Haddonfield offering as that is one of their strongest maps.
-
They should let us recycle offerings.
-
The best matches win or lose are where everyone makes a ton of bp and had fun. I try to promote that and my blood point bank account rises regardless. I get trying to get to Iri 1 grade but once there just have fun and try to do wacky and unexpected things.
-
I hit max Rift the other day and was surprised. I expected it would take a lot longer but I guess I played a bunch during the blood hunt.
-
It is an optional feature.
-
I got her adept faster than any other killer with brown add ons and level 1 perks. She is a strong killer and if you think ahead you can pull off amazing downs.
-
Clown, Trapper, and Doc, although I get some joy from most of the cast except for Nurse. I just do not like the fatigue mechanic.
-
The game is designed to frustrate and winning can feel like a loss sometimes. It used to be much much worst and it is not as common as in the early years. Just disable the chat and treat them as NPC's.

Monitor is great. I've straight up grabbed people off gens with it. Pig, with Hag's terror radius would be a pretty fun killer.
I'm not a huge fan of Nurse's on her, I'd rather be putting down more traps.
Sloppy is decent, but doesn't really help if they are doing the 'bring BK, medkits and CoH, heal in approximately 1 nanosecond' build.
My go-to Hag build is Surge+DH+Monitor+CI/LP/BBQ
The beauty of this game is the survivors never know what kind of hag they are up against. Will it be a 3 gen totem guarding hag or something much much worst haha
-
Monitor, Nurses, Sloppy, and after they start healing assuming you broke chase you can get them especially if the 4th perk is some sort of Oblivious giving one. I place traps in random areas away from pallets or windows to catch them in the open. Fun but you need to be aware of survivor's patterns.
-
I consider myself the host. I just go with the flow and never DC even if I am getting beat. I do not even run gen slowdown and open doors if they power the gates. Faster matches are a good thing and I still kill plenty of teams before they can escape. Blood points either way.
-
Savor this moment. I hope this attitude stays with you. DBD has a way of wearing that down.
-
Run sloppy and nurses with a low terror radius killer and you will be surprised how much you can disrupt healing. It will at least tell you where the boons are up.
-
I have been using Unrelenting and it helps counter the missed hit from validation.
-
I like Pyramid head but do not like the lack of synergy with BBQ.
-
I get tilted sometimes but I try to remember that this game is designed this way and the killer you choose, perks both sides have, maps, items, and players make a huge difference in how each match plays out. My only goal is blood points and getting "brutal killer" with 30k bp earned is fine with me. The point is the fun. Try to have fun and do crazy things and bring unexpected perks.
-
We are going to live forever and BBQ every game and learn what actions earn you the most bp.
-
The game is frustrating by design. Once you understand the deck is stacked just going with the flow of the match is the best way to keep your sanity.
-
If you pair it with nurses and monitor it may buy enough time to take advantage of a person focused on healing. Hag in particular can be effective as her terror radius is small. I should add hex plaything is strong with this build.
-
Run Unrelenting to counter dead hard validation hits. I know it is not meta but what can you lose trying it out? You can bait pallet drops and get sick grabs besides allowing you to get hits that they do not expect. You just have to be confident enough to give up a perk slot.
-
I am the average 2k enjoyer but I also equip lightborn

You hit the nail on the head, I am consumed with overwhelming despair when I play survivor. With just a little bit of hope, perhaps I could overcome it. However, I know the endeavor is fruitless and I just give up and accept my fate because this game belongs to the killer mains. Nothing I can do will alter the outcome of destiny. I am just helpless, a soon to be corpse; the killers play thing. An instrument for their fun.
Just so you know this is now on my Steam profile:
"Nothing I can do will alter the outcome of destiny. I am just helpless, a soon-to-be corpse; the killer's plaything. An instrument for their fun."
Thank you

The yellow bottles should not have a pause before granting the speed boost.

This brought me joy but it is fantasy at a decent MMR

I have also been experiencing way more grabs with Unrelenting. They do not expect a fast recovery.

@jesterkind said:
I mean, it doesn't counter the validation so much as it lessens the impact of Dead Hard. The missed-swing thing is just what Dead Hard does, the validation only causes the audio bug.
I am just pointing out killers have a way to recover faster when it happens. It is happening to me every match so there is value there.
-
@BlindMole said:
Do killers get slowed down after the validation hit?
It is considered a missed swing.

We shouldnt have to run a perk to fix something broken with the game.
Adapt and overcome. We run perks to counter all sorts of things why would this be any different?
-
By far the most annoying part of playing as Twins is the long delay switching between them. I am not sure how to balance that but it feels terrible.
-
Live forever, Botany, Leader, Kindred serves me well and I earn really good bp as a survivor. Sure I get killed more but I pip, earn bp, and I help the team.

Agreed. It's fun to have an actual challenge. Four solos generally can't coordinate well enough to compete with a really good killer.
I see gods in the solo queue all the time. They use the perks the game provides to get info and help each other.
