Because some people want it where they can comfortably 4k and never have to sweat for it even though it’s an online multiplayer game against real, often highly skilled opponents. These ate your people that tunnel with freddy and take NOED and an ebony.
-
Some of the killers are becoming less fun. Not because they’re stronger but their mechanics are just less fun in general.
Case in point I see more hook suicides against Legion than any other killer.
-
Hopefully never.
-
Because its all about killer fun, not yours. Don’t use BPS unless you have a swf

It's been suggested multiple times already. Only survivors get what they want instantly, killers will have to wait a few years
Lmao despite evidence to the contrary over the past year the killer victimhood complex is so engrained people actually believe tripe like this.

You're kidding me right?
Keys, in my opinion, are strong and so are many Ultra rare Killer add-ons. But Survivors and Killers bring them into the game and strategies can be changed once the add-on or item is seen or used.
With random Dull or Skeleton keys, there's literally no counter because the Killer didn't prep for the key to be used since it was randomly given and none of the Survivors had a key at the start. You understand?
With your example of Iridescent Heads, at least the Survivors know immediately what the Killer is using and adapt and change tactics.
With random Keys, it's straight up unpredictable and borderline broken.
By “adapt and change tactics” you mean give up on hook since nobody wants to lose to a low skill noob boosted by add ons and offerings. Killer brings iri heads, noed and an ebony. Survivors arent aware of any of those until the game starts.
Also while it may be a free escape the chances of getting a key are incredibly low without plunderers instinct. You really need the perk to stand a chance at getting the key. It could be argued that NOED is the equivalent, granting free hooks/kills despite all the survivors hard work. Doing 4 totems and then dying to NOED anyway feels just as crappy.

You know.. in a match i was 1 hooked even i have kindred on.
This is in purple rank, but any survivors who are in purple rank shouldn't make this kind of mistake
I’ve had that happen too. This is why even if you gave solos all aura reading perks like kindred to buff them up to the level of swf it would never be the same, as swf actually give a damn about their team, solos don’t.
-
He doesn’t need to be 110%. That doesn’t suit him, he’s not that kind of killer.
He just needs his busted add ons changed for a start. Tuning guide and thompsons mix basically make his M2 operate like an M1. Quick to activate and almost no cooldown if you miss.
He then needs a cooldown so he can’t just keep pressuring both a gen on the other side of the map and camping a hook on the opposite side at the same time. Every other killer with a teleport or map traversal has come kind of cooldown so he should too.
Finally the chainsaw itself needs a slight adjustment. Maybe a slight slowdown when hes charging like LF so you cant just casually walk behind a survivor holding it. Shouldnt be too much of an issue since he charges forward anyway. Good Billys could overcome it, the only people hurt would be all the no skill boosted ones.
-
Because the devs read the forums and just see whiny killer posts day after day after day?
-
Killer mains shocked that people that are actually good at the game can win.
Maybe learning to play rather than relying on camp, tunnel and NOED is the way to go?
-
Most survivors hate Legion with a passion. He needs a rework not a buff.
-
Because Feng is best girl
-
Here’s an idea. Why don’t killers just stop tunneling and trying to petition the devs to change DS?
-
Billy.
Map traversal for a start. 176% speed on Spirit vs 230% speed on Billy. Also Billy has no cooldown so he can hook a survivor, zoom across the map in seconds, scare another survivor off it and Pop the gen, then sprint back to the hook. Spirit has a cooldown and a meter so she can only make it part way across the map and then goes on a 15 second cooldown before she can phase walk again.
Then there is the fact that he has unlimited instadowns. From the start of the trial until the very end he can one hit survivors as many times as he likes.
Billys only weakness is if you get 4 amazing loopers as survivors but thats rare and you can use perks to cover that up a bit. In your average game Spirit can likely get hits easier but Billys snowball is much stronger.
-
Its ironic, but out of all the campers (ghostface, wraith, deathslinger etc), Insidious Bubba is the only one that doesn’t make me want to uninstall the game.
-
Its a problem with the games balance. Its not quite balanced for a good 4 man swf so killers are unhappy, but it’s also not balanced for 4 solo survivors so survivors are unhappy too. Hence why killers are both OP and UP at the same time.
Worse still is all the bs in the game that stacks.
Play solo survivor, nobody in the lobby has items? Here’s a top tier killer with red add ons, NOED and an ebony mori.
Want to chill with a low-mid tier killer with decent but nothing special add ons? Here’s a 4 man on comms with their best items.
-
A lot of killers hang around the edge of terror radius though. It can be 15 seconds before the chase kicks in even though they’re trying to tunnel you down

Imagine making survivors
-3 genning themselves
-use mending to stall survivor from making gen progression (making pop and thrilling very useful)
-wasted all the pallets on that one side early game so they have none late game (because playing don’t want to get hit.)
-disabling the key holder
-applying pressure to survivors (making them constantly save and heal)
Imagine saying this isn’t outplaying my opponent just because it’s Legion :|
What your excuse for Legion huh?
Oh wow you press M2 and run at turbo speed and vault pallets to get the free hit. Legion is literally the hold W killer.
-
To be honest you can’t talk about outplaying people when you’re using Legion.

Now let's look at the current situation:
Killer camps the hook. Noone working on gens, just swarming the hook, trying desperately to unhook the survivor, most likely just giving a lot of free hits and hook exchanges to the killer. No gen progression, survivors and killer get a lot of points and most likely pip from that, because they all progress in at least half of their emblems.
Then, finally someone dies or survivors manage to solve the situation, having one dead or like 3-4 hooks spread on survivors. 1 minute later the same starts again, most likely with maybe half a gen progress in the meantime or even one gen, and the next unhooking party definitely causing another death, making it almost impossible to finish the last 3 gens with 2 people, heading for the hatch escape. Still everyone claiming to have a crap game because "c4mPIn9 5uxX", only the killer having fun because he gets all he wants: points, kills, pips and an ez game (and probably salt).
So how about eating the crap game once in a while, leaving the killer on a boring crappy game as well while staring at the only survivor he will ever see. And probably letting him face this situation over and over again, so he notices that camping doesn't work anymore, forcing him to play differently. Would solve at least most of the camping issues over time.
The points/pip system penalizes survivors for not unhooking. Also theres general human decency in not expecting another human being to spend 2 mins playing hook sim after waiting 7 minutes just to get a game. Some killers are so scummy though they prey on human deceny.
I like how once again you’re so determined to defend your side that you want it left as it is, even though as explained its bad for the games health and ruins the game for a lot of people.
Also once in a while? Lol its the majority of games. If it was once in a while it wouldnt be an issue but these days it seems like 9 out of 10 killers will always stay within a fairly close proximity to the hook.

Camping was considered problematic by the developers themselves, looking for a solution. They failed or abandoned. Now at least one of them has expressed that it is a legitimate strategy. And all the most biased opinions joyfully repeat this opinion hoping to be authoritative, repeat this ridiculous reversal of conviction.
In most video games, the concept of griefing often includes camping. The first is condemnable in DBD, not the second. Likewise, camping is rarely - if ever - a desired mechanism in video games. It is not complicated to understand why: it brings nothing - or almost nothing - of interest. No dynamic, close to AFK, and deeply penalizing the experience of at least one player.
“Just abandon the hooked survivor (hoping he doesn't commit suicide), repair the generators and escapet!” WHAT A GREAT GAME, THANK YOU!
Yes, some players have a different vision of DBD, which they want dynamic. Some people don't want a game where they can find themselves doing nothing for several minutes, destroying a key on their keyboard, and where this ridiculous scene is the end of their game. And for the others, a game where they will only repair generators without ever meeting the killer supposed to hunt them...
Yes, some players want that in DBD, the killer must always make the effort to go to the survivors (this is the principle of the hunt), and not the reverse by a vulgar and simple hostage taking.
Dare to tell me that camping brings dynamism, is interesting, that it is beneficial for the game. Dare to tell me that these multiple people coming to taunt here on the forum because they use Leatherface for the sole purpose of camping with Insidious and Moris, that they do this by lEgItImAtE sTrAtEgY. Dare to say here that these people are not griefers.
Camping is problematic. It is not desirable. It's a game defect.
Exactly. Camping has been frowned upon in videogames for decades now, yet somehow bias players on DBD think this time “its a good strategy”. Its not healthy for the game.
At least in a game like Call of Duty when you know theres a camper you can do something about it. Throw a grenade, sneak attack and shoot them. Problem solved. In DBD since you cant attack as survivor if you know the killer is camping you can’t do a damn thing to help. At best even with Borrowed the killer will just tey to trade hooks then camp the next survivor until someone else comes along.
Thats why I dont understand why they nerfed BBQ. Showing the killer where the next survivors were was a great idea. They just needed to nerf Hillbilly since a killer that could be on top of you instantly with BBQ was unfair.
-
Just take NOED and you put them in the same situation
-
Everytime someone says “iTz sUrViVorZ FaUlT, JuSt d0 G3nZ” lets look at how that works shall we?
Survivor 1: Sits there watching rather than playing. Paid for the game, queues for 6-7 mins just to watch their character on hook immobilised. Has to mash space bar for 60 seconds despite having no fun and not being able to play a full game, likely to give up on hook early
Survivors 2,3,4: All hold M1 on gens unopposed. They know the killer is camping so they all hold M1 on gens unopposed. No suspense, no fear, no danger. No chance of having a chase, denied points in all other categories.
Killer: Stares at a character on a hook. Waiting, waiting, waiting for someone else to come.
Do you not see how the game falls apart with camping? Nobody has fun. Hence why it needs more of a fix than just asking 1 person to play an immobilized character for the full 2 minutes and asking the rest to hold M1 for that duration.

You want to talk about bias and an agenda?
How about the fact that Marth put out a video, talks about 4 map reworks he really wanted to talk about the most....

it took the 2nd page to get there, but i knew someone was gonna spout this nonsense
yes let's run bamboozle in anticipation to block 1 window on 1 map variant out of 30
brilliant survivor logic
And there we have it once again;
Survivors: “______ is a problem”
killers: “Just bring (insert perk)”
But at the same time...
Killers: ” ______ is a problem”
Survivors: “Just bring (insert perk)”
Killers: “omg ######### that is so ridiculous”
There’s such a hypocrisy here on these forums where survivors are expected to run perks to fix all their problems even though they actually dont have enough perk slots to run them all yet as soon as theres a problem for killers they expect the game to be changed for them.
-
Look at his username. Says it all.
Theres a reason this has become the most used map offering for killers.
-
I disagree about red rank killers being good. Back in the day yeah they did use to be. Used to see some amazing nurses and Huntresses. Now though the red ranks seem barely better than the green ranks. People only play with the overpowered add ons and it seems to be a race to see who can tunnel a survivor out the fastest. None of them can mindgame, hell you see plenty that just go round and round for bloodlust.
But your experience is what we see. Killers actually win most games....yet people here complain because they dont win every single game they play.
-
Just bring Bamboozle
-
Easy, I don’t. Quit that game a while ago. Find someone else to play with and you’ll be less frustrated. Solo survivor is by far the worst thing about the game right now.
Lose to really bad players because you got put with even worse players or trolls who have no interest in even touching a generator and just want to mess about with the killer.
Yeah thanks but no thanks.
-
Those games for some reason dont count though. Soon as a streamer has a bad game you’ll see the “gen rush” video posted here but nobody posts videos of that same streamer having a “kill rush”.
Basically people ignore anything that doesn’t back up their argument.

I hate new legion, old legion was just overpowered.
New legion? He sees you, gets a free hit. Anywhere close to your team and they got spotted? Now you are injured too. Hope you are not playing on some immersive map with no pallets to use.
Super lame, it's the same reason I don't like plague. Oh you saved anyone, touched a gen, touched a totem? Sorry, you are now injured, unless you want to give her a very powerful ability that may or may not wipe your team (who refuse to cleanse even on deathhook).
People saying legion are weak don't use any chase perks on him/her. You can use bamboozle or spirit fury and boom, now your free first hit comes with a free second hit.
There's no other killer in the game that I see who can potentially injure 3+ survivors in the first minute of the game. But he is a bad killer, right?
That’s how I feel too. Legion is complete horse manure and braindead. Just tap m2 and hold W for the free hit.
Reason people think he sucks is because they aren’t very good at the game. They can’t mindgame so they get looped endlessly. They all take Thana thinking its going to stall the game.
Thana doesn’t make up for the fact that survivors dont heal. They save a lot of gen time by not healing. Therefore you need quicker chases to make up for it. As you say Spirit fury, bamboozle etc all help him get the second hit. Monitor & abuse is underrated too, lets you get real close before they realize whats happening.
I hate Legion so much. Probably my least played killer too.
-
Lets ask the killer mains
Killer mains, what say ye?
Killer mains: “Veto”
The mob has spoken. Hits shall stay as they are. Survivors are OP enough already, killer getting hits through pallets is how the game should be balanced.
-
I actually preferred old legion to new legion. I’d rather drink acid than play against new Legion. Hes so dull and braindead.
At least old Legion was 110% speed which offset his free hit and from my experience it was rare to see people cheese chases. Not unless they has franks mixtape anyway.

I think the Riot approach would be the best one, if someone is disconnected/afk in the first (X) amount of time the remaining players have to vote, yes to cancel the match or no to continue to match. Majority wins and all people have a little choice to make.
Anything would be better than what we have now. In Resident Evil the penalty only applies to the 1st person to rage quit. I normally stay in if its the final zone but theres no point playing if they quit at the very start of the game.
But its funny how other games allow this yet DBD which is meant to be a casual party game has such a strict system. Especially when if 2 survivors dc the killers tend to slug regardless and then give an “ez ez” post game.

How is this mentioned so often as "solution"? Here's a super common situation:
Camper/tunneler catches a survivor early enough, hitting him once before unhook, once after. Then goes for the tunnel and downs the second survivor. Goes back to the first one, hooks him, DS cancelled. This change would make DS kinda useless in many situations.
That’s the point. That’s really why they want that change. So they can sit around the hook still and not be delayed in their tunneling by DS.
-

Lol, imagine complaining about toolboxes after the nerf. I would not even pick them up out of a chest to use it if I had another item, because you will get less gen progress swapping items at the chest than just doing a gen.
They are practically a meme unless it's a commodious with BNP and even then it's still worse than an instant medkit or a key.
Agreed. I wont touch them anymore.

For you a match where 1 Survivor disconnected is an unwinnable situation, but for someone out there is a challenge who they're willing to take. Although I can agree on you that a 3v1 is really rough and most of the time not worth the effort, you can't ignore the obvious exploit this would get.
Other games allow it.
Some people dont have all day for the game. Get home from work, find a spare hour. Put a game on, some salty claudette or 2 man swf disconnect 30 seconds in....ok game ruined. Now why can’t I just find a new one since I did nothing wrong? Why is someone forced to either get a 5 minute ban or sit and dredge through a non-game before being allowed to play another? It’s ridiculous.
-
People should be allowed to leave if someone else disconnects, rather than punishing the innocent as this garbage does now. That’s what good games with developers that care about their players do.
-
Myself yeah. I stopped playing for a while until the ptb.
Back in 2018 there were killers that were fun to go against and killers that were not so fun. Which is understandable.
These days though the killers I liked going against are rarely used, so it’s either killers that aren’t so fun or now killers that I actually hate playing against.
As killer, well it was god loops I got fed up with and bad maps but at least that is being fixed for the most part. Maybe killer will be worth it again.
-
I’ve pointed this out before but this is how killer mains like it. Survivors feel compelled to play the game normally hence they get to camp and win, no effort required.
-
Yes. The amount of hackers seems to have increased recently.

I went the same way. Can’t touch solo anymore. Hell even 2 man swf can be unbearable at times.
Hard to get everyone on at the same time for a bigger party so its only worth playing killer now.
Killers complain about swf but most play in lame ways or just bring their most OP add ons everygame so they force people into playing swf.

What about me chasing a person and an unhooked survivor runs from somewhere in thechase to take a hit with BT? Legit strategy i guess huh?
Quite rare. Most BT hits are because the killer has just been chilling near the hook waiting for the tunnel.
-
Yeah that sums up a lot of killers. They bring an ebony and iri heads and get laggy hits and then tell everyone else to stop crying and git gud.
Basically these people are garbage and rarely ever win games so they have to brag anytime they do win even if they used so many add ons/offerings they basically couldn’t lose.

Okay im curious, where is that god loop?
Up the stairs in the saloon, vault the window just to the left, then run right down the stairs and around the corner, up those stairs and though the window on your right. Then run through the top of the saloon back to the original window and repeat.
Even if the killer breaks walls near to both windows it still takes the entity blocker to stop the loop meaning you can run it 3 times if you came in with enough distance.
If you wait on the corner outside you can see both windows too so you know if the killer changed directions.
-
Iri head + infantry belt + ebony mori and then throw on NOED on top just in case the survivors get the gens done after all that.
These kind of builds shouldn’t exist in the game yet here we are in 2020. It’s not uncommon to see this build either. This is why you should take the “killers are underpowered” cries with a grain of salt. People forget the amount of BS killers can stack.
-
I’d like a refund too. If I knew what was coming I’d have never paid a penny towards this game. Never will in the future either. It treats its players like garbage.
-
Its dull when the killer is searching for a Blendette in the corn. They never find them so you’re there for the full 4 minutes.
Its dull when someone else is slugged because you’ll pick them up and the killer will knock them down another 3 times.
At some point people just need to let it go. It made sense with the old hatch but the new hatch is so killer sided that it just screams desperate to be that scared of the last survivor escape you need to slug.
The worst is when 2 people dc or hook suicide and the killer still does it. Everyone has had a bad game but you really are an entitled ######### if you’re gonna make everyone else wait at that point just to stroke your ego.
