No. Do you know how much it sucks as survivor to be left behind?
You can have 3 survivors, 1 gen to go. Gens fairly spread out. Easily doable. But one coward keys out without waiting for anyone else and that really hurts the other two survivors. Solo sucks for this.
They either need to do the gens themselves or more often than not the killer closes the hatch and gets NOED (they always have NOED) and one or both of the remaining survivors are going down to it.
Keys need a total rework rather than a single survivor limitation. They screw other survivors not just killers.
-
Power goes like this...
4 man swf -> 3 man swf + good random -> killer -> 2 man swf + 2 man swf -> 2 man swf + 2 randoms -> 4 solos
-
That dropping pallets one was great and well designed🙄 no looping anymore, every survivor is dropping them asap. If you arent chased first then you’re toast.
-
“iTs a LeGiT sTrATeGy”
Really reworking NOED would be the best. All campers have it. Making them realize they need to make an effort during the game rather than camp may provoke some of them into trying harder.
Camp and NOED will often grant 2kills at least. You shouldn’t get that for a zero effort playstyle

then you can't complain if you do not report the incidents. i know how hard it is to get a recording. but you can atleast try to alert them but you have decided some of it is acceptable when you do not report them
If you knew the reports werent just thrown in the trash that would help.
-
Congrats to you for sticking up for them. A lot of times the biggest proponents for the dc penalties were 2000 hour tryhards on either side wanting the opposing side to be nothing more than toys for them and to have them stay in the game when getting absolutely wrecked.
-
Just take NOED like everyone else does.
I see so many killers genrushed to oblivion, 1, maybe 2 hooks in all that time then NOED lets them get a few kills.
There we go game ended with 2-3 kills, a pretty successful balance job.
-
Truth be told I wouldnt mind them extending the lobby timer.
First you got to check their profiles (due to all the hackers i dodge any lobbys that have survivors with vac/game bans, and let me tell you thats a lot)
Then if you want to change your perks, say survivors all go to medkits withiut much time left, you’ve got to trawl through 5 pages of perks to find the new perk you want. Lobbys where fine back when we had 3 pages but the perks list is getting bloated now.

Ah so it ruins the games main objectives eh. Rhat isbone solid point about the cons of the archives and I appreciate that. I have seen issues with how survivors spend a lot of time doing nothing when I realize afterwardw they have to hide within 10 meters of the killer for 1 minute lol.
Thats exactly what I did as Dwight in the last one. Just followed the killer around.
Worst still is theres no timer and no way to know exactly how far 10m is so you overcompensate by doing it longer than 60 seconds just to be sure.
For people like myself that want to play competitive seeing survivors do this can be infuriating, as some just mess about for fun.
I get the game isnt meant to be taken ultra serious but then it only has a ranked mode. It needs a ranked and casual so the competitive people can play together and the ones who just want to be silly and have fun can play together.
The ones about opening chests as well. You just know some people will open a few chests in one game then give up on 1st hook so they can move onto the next game for more chests, which ruins the game for everyone else.

did you get evidence of their hacking and submit it via the ticket system? if you did great! it will be reviewed, if you didn't then how are they going to know exactly what match, exactly what time in the match to look at? hell how are they going to know it happened? this is the problem most people dont' realize that they can not SEE what you see after the fact, but the data can support what they see in general but you have to know what to look for in the data to see what happened and how and then they can act.
I do in the worst cases but it’s a lot of effort for me to record a video, upload to youtube which takes forever, find their steam64 IDs, submit reports in game, log into the website, submit a longer report online, just to be told “we’ll look into it” and never know if anything was actually done.
When it was once every few months it wasnt so bad but its much more common now and they should streamline the reporting process.
-
Generally I dislike them. I think the game was better without them.
As survivor? You’ve got more people wasting time on chests and stuff so less time on gens making it harder. Or you’ve got killer with basement challenges so it just ends up with basement builds which nobody likes.
As killer? Break 500 pallets or grab 6 survivors off gens, people want those out if the way quickly so it just turns into a farm fest.
The only reason I do any is for the extra bp
-
Heres the way I see it....
Do more to stop trolls and hackers, and I’ll never complain about dc penalties again.
I just dont want to stay in the game when some idiot sandbags me as survivor just because he finds it funny. I dont mean a 5 second sandbag I mean sandbag until the killer arrives, and then try to sandbag at pallets.
These people have been infesting the game recently and nothing is done against them or the mechanics which allow it.

Toxic behavior is not the counter to toxic behavior. Its exactly what causes this problem within the community. Endless loop
True for about half I agree.
The other half though, nah there are just some bad apples out there
-
Seriously Gatsby don’t be discouraged by this. Instead look at it from a different angle.
You got a team so dedicated to genrush they were willing to bring streetwise, a junk perk nobody uses just to get those extra few charges out of their toolbox.
Commend their sweat and salute them. Then ask if you can join their swf team 😂 I would love these kind of survivors rather than the ones that go sightseeing around the map before starting their first gen 10 minutes in.
Its like when you had Omegablink Nurse slugging at 5 gens. Was it fun? Not at all, but you had to appreciate the absolute sweat in that player.
-
Its because their forums are incredibly killer sided and this has been known for years and reading them day in, day out I think its affected the judgement of the balance team.
Obviously some complaints are valid but there’s definitely a push towards easier victories with less skill on the killer side.
-
2k is supposedly what they aim for. Doesnt necessarily mean 2 people will be escaping every game. A 4k in one game and 0k in the next still gives that average.
-
Some people can’t have a good time without making sure other people have a bad time.
As killer its a little bit easier to deal with. Toxic swf? Just camp and tunnel one of them. Even if 3 make it out you’ll get so much salt post game. :) if they want to ruin the game for you then you need to ruin the game for them
I had one recently when I was playing old Bubba. I started pitching my tent and bust out the marshmellows. Rest were foolish enough to try and save each other. You should have seen the comments I got in the post-game chat. Its amazing how quickly toxicity can backfire.
-
Depends, do you play killer? Survivor? Or both?
If you only play killer I’d wait and see if they fix Object of obsession. You’ll get a swf with it every couple of games. Its also incredibly broken on the new map.
If you play solo survivor dont come back for at least a year or two lol its trash
If you run as part of 3-4 man premade you should be ok.
-
Prove thyself, resiliance, toolboxes and BNPs, the most interesting choice is bringing Neas perk to make the toolboxes last longer. Nobody takes that. I can feel the sweat from here.
This is why you shouldnt go against 4 man premades.
-
Just wait till the next update where they start charging interest on that 😱

I'm right there with you. With the state *every single DBD patch* releases in, it's hard to believe that this QA team even exists like they say it does. It almost seems like a bold faced lie. If the QA team DOES exist, how they aren't fired at this point is a mystery...and if they ARE reporting these issues and they just simply choose to push the update in that state, that's just an ethics issue all by itself.
Wait you lecture me on being negative about the game and then you say people deserve to be fired.
People in glasshouses...
-
Yeah I see a lot using VPNs to play in different regions. They know damn well the advantage it’s giving them. You slam the pallet, run 5 steps forward and still get hit.
-
I have nothing against the guy but he definitely has a killer bias he can’t admit to. He thinks because he plays both sides equally that isn’t the case but theres definitely a bias.
For example he will get the most toxic killer in the world and make excuses for their behaviour. « Oh he must be letting off steam after bad games » etc, but doesn’t apply this to survivors when they can get tilted too after a number of awful games.
Secondly he cares about pips but acts like its unfair if he gets a pip but survivors escape. He thinks outplaying the other team should grant the kills. Now thats fair but my issue is he doesn’t apply this logic to the state of solo survivor right now. He often says you’re playing for pips not to escape and acts like people should be happy with that. Well no I disagree if you’ve played really well and yet you die game after game after game after game its infuriating, especially when its to really bad killers. Survivors shouldnt go into a game thinking « I know im not going to escape », thats the whole objective of the game. Solo survivor is a depressing mess but he acts like somehow its fine to expect to lose every game as survivor?

A simple solution that I think would add a lot to the game is an "End It" action available to survivors who have been slugged for a certain duration, maybe 1 minute on the ground. Give them an option to kill themselves, and perhaps penalize the killer for having survivors kill themselves. It fits with the lore, the entity certainly wouldn't like that, and I feel it would de-incentivize killers from slugging and give survivors a way to voice their opinion about the killer's actions aside from simply DC'ing.
That would make the game more acceptable for survivors and take away the killers ability to be toxic so we cant have that.
Slugging and leaving survivors for the EGC timer to countdown should become a bannable offence. Its boring and keeps people in a trial longer than necessary. Of course this is DBD though so anything toxic gets to stay in the game

Unfortunately. Then when people criticize their views, they say they are stalking them.
I mean you do keep quoting me in every thread making the same point about Hillbilly.
Newsflash: It’s called an opinion. Get over it.
-
I know we cant name because we need to protect all the innocent trolls in this game but I just got lumped with someone who had killer / Killer = dc as their name, the killer parts obviously being the name of 2 killers in the game
They started fast vaulting next to a gen me and another survivor were working on, then they ran around dropping every pallet on purpose even though the killer was nowhere near
These are the kinds of trolls infesting the game now. This is why the rest of us dc or suicide on hook, and yes I did give up on 1st hook in that game
But of course the company couldnt care less so long as the money rolls in. I think they gave up long ago

"I realize what a stupid joke this game is".
Look at this guy on a forum for a game he supposedly despises, yet can't stop discussing. Sounds big mad.
Why are you so salty and stalking me around the forums with a vendetta?
Get a grip. Upset over a disagreement on a videogame forum from over 24 hours lmao
-
I just laugh it off and realize what a stupid joke this game is. Thats what the streamers do, they realize its futile to take all the garbage in this game seriously
This coming from a survivor who just lost because some coward didnt want to do the last gen and used a key to get out without even trying to let anyone else tag along.
-
That's the point. It's there to get rid of keys. You can wait on the mori fix though. Killers get priority.
-
No 😋
-
8:23 ain’t bad. Theres faster out there

Its as if the game only loads a small number of maps per day and cycles through them. It doesnt feel like its pulling from the full map list, everyday you get a repeat of maps you’ve already played, often back to back

"We've been receiving great feedback, and the majority of our playerbase enjoys the new Auras, so we're keeping them."
And that's that.
Dear people of the fog
We have listened to your feedback about the aura changes and we have taken it on board.
In the upcoming chapter we have new perks for both survivors and killers that makes aura reading much more powerful
Survivor perk: ESP
Level 1: Slightly increases the intensity of auras
Level 2: Moderately increases the intensity of auras
Level 3: Considerably increases the intensity of auras
Killer perk: Eyes on you
Every time you hook a survivor aura intensity is increased for 40/50/60 seconds

Same applies to the forum too. If you’re going to belittle people for having a different opinion they’re going to be uppity back.
-
There isnt a point. This is what I’ve been saying but it gets drowned out by people defending Billy.
The developers in their own words wanted “resource management” for Billy but there isnt any now its basically non-existant meaning the overheat mechanic was a complete waste of time and resources.
-
Moris and keys are simple. They are fun for one side offering the chance to skip objectives but make the other side feel cheated.
The solution is to nerf them, appeasing the other side but taking away the fun that the items offered.
The other solution would be to offer a bonus so the other side doesnt see them as nothing but a negative.
For example - ebony mori.
What if they stayed the same but survivors were granted a safety pip, or pips were turned off/mmr doesnt count, this way they dont feel cheated when they get tunneled and mori’d off first hook. However they also act as 3 x BPS for the survivors. So now theres an incentive. Yes its going to be a harder game but you’re just playing for bonus points now. Its something to keep killers happy and give survivors a reason to play against them without feeling cheated.
-
Look in the bright side. You can spend those 5 minutes checking out the new GREEK LEGENDS collection, or how about purchasing the new TOME IV: Conviction

You complained the same way. You're like the only person who thought he needed a nerf, lol. Thats why his basekit is not practically untouched, you have to intentionally overheat to get it now.
No I didn’t. Lol you’re twisting things a d lying now to push your narrative.
I’m definitely not the only person that thought Billy needed to be nerfed. Many players have said that over the years. The developers themselves said hes overperforming compared to other killers. Only reason hes untouched is because the company has no backbone when it comes to crybabies on their forums.
Legion is awful. Pretty much everyone agrees hes awful. Killer mains like yourself take it as some kind of request for a nerf, because your bias makes you get ultra defensive. No a total rework is different. Freddy is the only killer who had a total rework as his power and playstyle completely changed. Thats what Legion needs. Killers dont like him because hes weak, survivors dont like him because he’s extremely boring. Put your bias aside and look at the possibilities of him being changed into something everyone finds more fun.
-
@Booper_Of_Snoot said:

You said the same exact thing about billy.
Make up your mind.
I said Billy needed a nerf, Legion needs a total rework. There’s a huge difference.
-
Legion with Thana and sloppy and slowdown perks is likely the number 1 cause of hook suicides in this game.
He needs a rework more than any other killer. Even old Freddy wasn’t this awful and that’s saying something.
-
The biggest buff for the Trapper is lowering the RNG. Whenever I play him survivors will get out of traps just around a corner from me within seconds. This is what cucks him the most.
They just need a more reliable system to stop this. Likewise its not fun as survivor when you try 10 times and can’t get out of a trap.
Say you have a dice roll between 1-100
If it lands on:
1-4 survivor gets out on the first attempt
5-14 = 2nd attempt
15-25= 3rd attempt
26-40 = 4th attempt
41-60= 5th attempt
61-75 = 7th attempt
76-86 = 8th attempt
87-96 = 9th attempt
97-100 = 10th attempt
Obviously the numbers aren’t final but you get the idea. If they decide 5 attempts before escape is the balance then the dice roll is set so more often than not it will take 5 attempts before a survivor gets out of a trap, with the 1st attempt and 10 attempts only having a very small chance of occurring.
This adds a lot more stability to the Trapper while also having survivors not feel as screwed.
-
I never pay attention. They’re too small to notice on survivors and who cares whats hanging on a hook?
-
🤣🤣🤣
Everyone has killers they like and dislike. Normally theres a lot of agreement on which killers are dull, although still opinions can vary.
However I really think Legion is that bad. I notice more hook suicides against Legion than any other killer. People talk about no counterplay to certain killers but Legion’s frenzy has the least counterplay in the entire game. Couple that with how often he can hit people with it and its just M1 holding on top of M1 holding.
He’s definitely the killer most in need of a complete rework. He really does drag the game down.

I wonder if this will ever get addressed. We've had the issue for years.
Almost all the solutions have pros and cons with none really being great. A ranked and unranked mode or built in voice coms has probably been the better solutions I've seen even though they do have their own issues.
Based on dev forum responses they don't seem to think it's much of an issue.
Well solo always had potatoes but honestly late 2018/early 2019 solo was fine for the most part. Really good players on either side.
Rank reset changes did a lot of the damage and a huge influx of new players over the past year too.
I’m hoping MMR fixes it but if not ranked/casual would be nice. Some players want to meme about, some want to go afk, I’d rather have them kicked out of the ranked setting so people like that want to play competitively can be put with like minded people without having to swf all the time which can be inconvenient getting people online at the same time to play a game.

"All the good players these days tend to play together so I guess that explains it."
I think this is a really good point.
It seems very rare to get good solo's as almost all the decent survivors tend to SWF to avoid the random potatoes. This leads to very polarizing games where it's either potatoes or an insane group all stacked. Night and day experiences in other words, rather than average games being a mix mesh of a couple good and a couple bad in each game.
And the catch 22 is that as solo gets worse, more players go swf.
I used to play solo a lot back in the day but now its only for achieve challenge grinding. Other than that I wouldnt touch it because its depressing putting in so much effort just to lose again and again and again.
Last night I ran a Pyramid Head for at least 5 minutes over the course of a few changes. I was chased so often and so much I didnt even get to work on the gens. What did the other survivors do? Gave him one of the best 3 gen setups I’ve ever seen. Then they’re all urban evading around afraid to touch the gens, not a single one had been worked on. So I had to be the one that did most of the work. That resulted in me dying as the last gen was done. Its frustrating always sweating so hard but never being able to escape. Meanwhile the ones that crawl around the edge of the map while others work on the last gen tend to be the ones that get away.
-
hackers have been increasing since the start of the year.
Right around the time of dc penalties. I dont think its a coincidence. Afterall whats the point in having super speed or esp if you know the other player will just disconnect? But now they have to sit and let you win by hacks or they eat a 5 minute time out.
Behaviour doesnt seem to care at all though. Despite the ever increasing hacks, which has thankfully been commented on by content creators like tru3 and ardetha, the developers have remained silent but put their dc penalties back on first thing after hackers exploited them and they keep churning out their usual cash grabs such as rifts and cosmetics.
I always thought with this starting on PC the game was holding its own there. Whereas most times publishers and developers are content to let the PC version rot because all the money is in the console versions. I wonder if thats happening here.
